The Independent reports;
Around 1.2 million refugees arrived in the European Union last year. Europol estimates a quarter were minors, and 85,000 were unaccompanied - higher than Save the Children's earlier estimate of 26,000. Aid workers deem them be at the biggest risk of abuse and people trafficking.
Around 5,000 unaccompanied children in Italy alone disappeared last year and another 1,000 in Sweden, and charities are worried about their whereabouts.
This is something European police services and governments should be worried about.
Not all are exploited for criminal purposes - illegal labour or sexual slavery. Some have left shelters to reunite with their families, but we have no proof of that.
Children are going missing and Refugees keep coming, but if we were to address the root cause of this problem then the logical conclusion and problem identification technique would indicate that War is the source and that is also where the production line of Refugees and their missing children begins.
The best resettlement program therefore would be to concentrate efforts on not adding fuel to fire and continuing to sell weapons of war with one hand and then accepting Refugees with the other hand?
Top stop the inflow of Refugees by stopping the war? To simplistic or too simplistic to accept?
Not recognizing this fact and continuing to do so means we are not ready to face our own complicity in modern Western civilized societies and how we are the ones partly responsible for creating these Refugees.
How can we sell weapons of war to that region and then act surprised that our business and profit driven motives are built on shaky ethical grounds?
Peace is a Human Right and has always been according to the writings and teaching of one Muslim Scholar; Shaykh Abdallah bin Bayyah. His work and efforts to organize a Framework for The Rights of Religious Minorities in Muslim Majority Communities should be noted and taken to heart.
It is a Legal Framework and a Call to Action for those with eyes to see and ears to hear. Humanity has a basic and inalienable right to Peace. That right comes first and supersedes all other laws and rights.
The MARRAKECH DECLARATION is one of the most important and timely works to emerge in a long time and much needed to counter the forces of evil and hate.
youtube
The foundations of this Framework and what should be the ideal Values of Islam in Dealing with Others and the core concepts of the Charter of Medina;
Kindness
Honor
Cooperation, Solidarity, and Rectification
Reconciliation
Human Fraternity and Interaction
Wisdom
Commonweal
Being Just with Others
Mercy
Peace

"...there were scholars who wrote in support of celebrating the Mawlid such as Al-Suyuti (May Allah have mercy upon him) and, at the same time, there were others who wrote against it. Thus, in my opinion, there is no need to drag this discussion out, nor continue to argue about it any longer.
The Ruling:
Whoever wants to celebrate the Prophet's birthday should celebrate it and avoid doing any action contrary to Islamic Law. This act should be done with an intention that it is not a sunna nor an obligatory act. If these conditions are observed, and one is careful not to contradict Islamic Law, out of to contradict Islamic Law, out of sincere love for the Prophet (Peace and blessing of Allah upon him), then, Allah willing, there is nothing wrong with this action and this person will be REWARDED."

This is An Age of Great Anxiety; You can’t judge Islām based on what you see, in an age of anxiety. Unfortunately, in this age, there are wars and wrongdoing, and there is an infighting amongst Muslims, so you can’t judge Muslims just on this period. We say to ISIS and others: fear Allāh and follow His words. When He says, “Restrain your hands from fighting and establish prayer.” I don’t see these wars having any results other than the loss of life, the destruction of buildings, and properties. The Prophet (ﷺ) on His final pilgrimage, said: “Do not turn to disbelief after Me by striking the necks of one another.” They’ll call someone a non-believer and execute him, the Prophet warned us about this. He said: “Do not disbelieve after I’m gone.” This is powerful because he knew what would happen. He warned us about wars like this, a war that does not differentiate between young and old, between man and woman. All it causes is destruction. — Shaykh Abdallah bin Bayyah

Love is a beautiful value because everyone likes to be loved; rarely could you find a man who would like to find that others hate him. It is ironic that some fight others on the grounds that they do not like them, thereby missing the point. If love is realised from both sides aggression is excluded. Love is an emotion and a behaviour, it is also an announcement and declaration; as is related in the ḥadīth: ‘If one of you loves his brother, tell him so.’ — Shaykh Abdallah Bin Bayyah, love in Human Rights

"Every religion is a form of energy, on one hand it can be constructive, and at the other hand, it can be destructive. It is not the problem of the religion, but the problem of the people who’re speaking on behalf of it." — Shaykh Abdallah Bin Bayyah
