July 17th (Grey Tank Top, White Bralette, VSX Shorts, Adidas)

OK - this was one hell of a great day. I don’t know about the shorts on this day - don’t judge me if I assume. I got up and got ready and had some breakfast (probably the same pasta thing again) before heading to Rosh Pinah to Mitzpeh Nimrod. This was an intensely moving story about a father who lost his talented and amazing son to the war. It was a pretty lookout spot and we got a group photo with the father before moving on. We went on to Tzfat to tour the narrow city streets lined with shops and food stalls. The stores were essentially all the same and I wasn’t trying to spend money yet, so I just wandered kind of aimlessly and people watching. I fell in love with one young boy with a heavy British accent, kind of secretly following behind him to keep hearing him. I got an iced coffee and a mushroom quiche and sat down to eat with Max, Laur, Caitlin, Aaron and maybe someone else. After eating we went back to explore more shops. This is where the best part of the entire trip happened (wholly kidding but also not). I was following behind this young British girl who was surrounded by her young boy and girl friends. She had a heavy accent too and she was cracking me up trying to haggle with the Israeli market guy on this cheap ass bracelet. I told her after she left that she could find a better deal elsewhere and she immediately took a liking to me. She ended up wanting to talk to me and follow me wherever I was going. I was trying to figure out why she liked me so much when I noticed that ALL of her friends, especially the boys, were following very closely behind her, listening to me talk and watching me, definitely checking out my tits.I ended up getting essentially cornered by a group of about 10 to 12 young British kids, 3 girls - the rest are precious adorable baby boys who are essentially all trying to spit game. The one I like had joined and left the crew already, but that was fine - I was getting mad attention from the other ones. We talked about how old they were and how old they thought I was. THEY WERE 16! And they thought I was like 19! It was so cute, and when I said 26, the one boy who really liked me (chubby and not that cute, unforch) said I looked great for my age. He also asked if I knew who Megan Fox was and I was like yeah, I love her! And he said I looked like her! 😅 That was cute. And the one young girl said it was almost time for them to wear their bathing suits, and that I must be excited about that as she ogled my chest. It was hysterical. And they were trying to pimp their wannabe model friend on me and asking if I’d get with him... I also ripped my pen in front of them and my favorite girl said “that’s a harsh toke!” So cute. They all stayed to talk to me for so long that their trip leader had to come round them up to go! Wow, how did that story get so out of control - haha. I think we then walked to Livnot U’Lihibanot where we got to choose which activity we wanted to participate in. I picked meditation, where we sat in a chair and listened to the soothing voice of this guy who essentially talked calmly and deeply about his life and some experiences and some ideas about meditation. I was so relaxed I almost felt high for the rest of the day. I loved it, I need to try stuff like that more often. Good for my body, mind and soul. After that we went to the challa making station and tasted some of our friends’ creations. After this we went to listen to an artist speak about his work and its subtle but meaningful connection to Judaism. It was super spiritual and definitely had an impact on me, in that the religion wasn’t jammed down my throat, but instead artfully presented in such a way as to appreciate it’s complexities. After this we went back to the hotel and had dinner. It was nice to decompress a little after such an emotional and busy day. Our programmed activity this night was the poster drawing session in anticipation of our Israeli soldier’s arrival! We got into small groups and received facts about one of the 8 soldiers who would join our trip the next day. We got Shani, who we learned was gay and going into dentistry! After this, we began the wild bacchanalia that was our final night at Kfar Kineret. This was the night I think I went into the next door room with Laur and sat with the boys of that room (Jacob, Harry, Dakoda, Aaron, Lior, Ron) and the girls (Raven, Laura, Devin and Lily?) We drank alcohol of some kind, passed my pen around and got bored. We moved to the pier, and Harry and I were getting close I suppose. I challenged him to a pole climbing contest and lost miserably. (Devin told me that when we went off to go climb the pole, Lior asked her if she thought it was gonna be our first hookup!) We got to the pier and sat around in the dark, reflecting on our trip so far. I was trying to talk to Lior and was constantly interrupted by Dakoda and it was pretty awkward and hard for me to not be sarcastic and rude. The group tapered down until it was just Devin, Lior, Dakoda and me. I claimed I ~WASN’T~ going to go swimming in the Sea of Galilee but also confessed I was nervous about doing so. Eventually Lior went over to the rocks on the side of the pier and checked the water out. He stripped down and got into the water! I followed pretty closely behind him in just my bra and thong! So did Dakoda and Devin though. I freaked out one time and then was pretty comfortable until we decided to get out. Lior thought I lost his watch but I DIDN’T and he found it and it was fine. We got out and shuffled off to our rooms to rinse off and get to bed, as this was pretty late at night. This was a pretty epic end to our three day stay here!
