Veer Pratap Singh confessed and drew the line right after knowing that Zaara's engaged. It was Veer's nature to be honest and upfront. But he didn't expect the girl he liked to like him back, given the circumstances.
So when the call came, as evidence of Zaara's love. He really didn't think twice and set out for her.
Truly what a character. Do they make men like this IRL??
Saw a reel of the movie and thus here again.

hello omg would you be willing to expand your thoughts a little on the throwaway shah rukh x south asia tag on the manipulative hurt/comfort post because i dooo get it a little bit as someone who grew up in an india where he had almost as much sway over the masses as any political figure (also would you agree that he no longer has that kind of social capital as he once did, with how the country has increasingly given in to the ruling party’s political manipulation, esp vis à vis the. well. communal rhetoric)
I think again this is v similar to what I said about Vale! I wasn't an Shah Rukh girl growing up, his deal didn't really appeal to me but I think it has made more sense to me with time. But there is a reason he is one of India's last true superstars. I think the post bacchan era where cinema halls were more ubiquitous and going to the movies became a bit more democratised he was truly able to produce some emotionally intense and tasteful work when films were becoming bigger cash grab opportunities and quality was going down the drain. SRK's real gift (quite like Vale) is that he's simply too sharp but with a real emotional vulnerability at the center. He got his start with Delhi's theater scene and carried those chops and that honest sentimentality to the screen in a way idt anyone else has since. And that's really what's at his core, he is incredibly smart, he knows he wants to be loved and he has done what he could to get that publicly, there is an honesty to him that I can appreciate.
And you're right he did hold some political sway at some point because he signified the kind of diversity the country was okay accepting pre 2014. A Muslim man who privately but steadfastly holds his faith and married a Hindu woman. The idea of a person like this would cause many people to short circuit in the current age. Imo srk still tries to bring some of the tolerant values back but we are a bit too fargone in what we have become. I don't look to srk as my political messiah tho, and he has never wanted to be one (imo), so I guess there is not much to be done there.

It was a cozy evening in your apartment. The low thrum of the ceiling fan and the smell of dinner you'd just had clung to the air. You sat cross-legged on the couch, surrounded by cushions in every colour imaginable, with the warm dimming of fairy lights softening the room.
Oscar was staring at the TV screen, seemingly befuddled; he had somehow found himself snuggled next to you. His usual biting wit and calm demeanor seem to have deserted him utterly.
The film? Ah, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham—one of your favorites, the great family epic of love, drama, and much else more.
You glanced over at him, trying not to laugh. He was taking this whole Bollywood thing very seriously.
"Okay, so… let me get this straight," Oscar said, pausing the movie just as a dramatic scene of Shah Rukh Khan running across the airport flashed on the screen. “Why does he look like he’s running through a storm of rose petals?”
You laughed, taking the remote control from his hand and played the movie. "It's a Bollywood film, Oscar. It's not about the logic. It's about the emotions".
He blinked twice, eyebrows furrowed in incomprehension. "He's just… running? Like, why is he running in slow motion? And what's with the over-the-top background music? No one does this shit in real life".
"Oh, trust me. It's all part of the charm," you said with a grin, squeezing his arm. "It's the drama, the flair, the passion. It's what makes it special."
Oscar shook his head, still processing what he'd just witnessed. "But why is everyone crying so much? Like, for a movie that literally means 'sometimes happiness, sometimes sadness', I've only seen sadness till now. And why is everyone wearing these elaborate outfits for literally every occasion?"
"Because they're expressing their feelings, Oscar! Emotions are bigger than life here. And don't even get me started on the fashion—it's a cultural thing. The more bling, the better." You laughed at his confused expression. "You'll get used to it. It's about the spectacle."
He furrowed his brow, not satisfied. "Spectacle? The movie's just one melodrama after another! A huge family reunion, and now everyone's hugging… Did he just turn away from his family for years over a misunderstanding?"
You bit your lip to hold in a chuckle. "Yep. That's what makes it Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham — sometimes you have happiness, sometimes sadness. It's all about the grand emotional journey."
Oscar gazed at the screen a few more seconds, his eyes wide. "Okay, but how do they have the energy to sing and dance in the middle of a serious conversation? Like, how does that happen?"
"Bollywood logic," you shrugged, as if that explained everything. "People break into song in the middle of a heartfelt discussion. They could be talking about how to solve world peace, and suddenly it's a dance number. It's magic, Oscar."
He rubbed his temples, clearly trying to keep up with the plot, but at least, he was trying. "But… they just lost their son in a family feud. Why is there a dance number in the middle of a tragedy? This makes no sense!"
You laughed so hard that you had to pause the movie for a moment, clutching your stomach. "Because, Oscar," you said, voice still bubbling with laughter, "it's a Bollywood film. It's a rollercoaster of emotions. You go from crying your eyes out to dancing in the rain in the blink of an eye."
Oscar blinked again, his eyes flicking between the screen and you, as if trying to make sense of it all. "So, what you're saying is… it's not supposed to make sense?"
"Exactly. You're supposed to feel it."
"Well, I'm definitely feeling something," Oscar muttered under his breath. "I just don't know what it is."
"Good!" You smirk at him, flicking him lightly on the shoulder. "Now stop overthinking it and enjoy the ride."
Oscar sank back into the couch with a heavy sigh, surrendering himself to not knowing anything. And yet, you could see the curiosity in his eyes amidst the confusion. "Fine, fine. No reasoning. Just.. pure feeling. Got it."
As the movie played, you snuggled closer to him, feeling his arm instinctively wrap around your shoulders. You felt him press a soft kiss on the top of your head.
"He's so pretty," You murmured at one point.
"Who? The actor?" Oscar asked immediately, sitting up a little straighter.
You hadn't realised that you had said it out loud, but you supposed that he was going to find out eventually.
"Shah Rukh Khan. He's so pretty," Your eyes were glued to the screen as you watched the actor go through his motions.
"You sound like you're in love with him," Oscar laughed, "Thank God, you're not, huh?"
You didn't respond, not wanting to lie to your boyfriend.
"You're not, right?" Oscar emphasised.
"Uh huh, sure. Of course I'm not, that'd be," you paused, sighing sadly, "stupid,"
Oscar shook his head. He didn't know what to say. His girlfriend had a crush on an actor that he was pretty sure had a wife and kids.
You had to admit, this was one of your favorite ways to share your world with him—watching him slowly come around to something so deeply ingrained in your culture, even if he couldn't fully grasp it yet.
A few moments later, when the screen changed to a song-and-dance number, Oscar let out a short laugh. "Alright, so, now they're all dancing on top of a moving car. Got it. Makes perfect sense."
You snorted. "Exactly! That's the spirit!"
You sat there side by side, watching the drama on the screen, but in the midst of it, something much more important was going on: the two of you were creating a beautiful little moment of your own. Not one that had to make sense, but one that simply existed, full of laughter, love, and the warmth of a shared experience.
And, hey, if Oscar cried at some point during the film, you were not supposed to know that. The usually emotionless man had lost the war with a simple Bollywood movie, and may have finally shed a tear or two.
And as the credits rolled, Oscar turned to you with a mock-serious expression. "Alright, I think I'm ready for the next one."
You grinned, already planning your next Bollywood movie marathon. It was clear that Oscar had a lot more questions to ask, but you had no doubt he'd be enjoying the journey every bit as much as you did.
"Get ready for Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge next," you said with a mischievous glint in your eye. "It's even more dramatic."
Oscar sighed dramatically, sinking into the couch. "This is going to be a long night."
And you wouldn't have it any other way.

"a person can live for 4 weeks without food, 4 days without water and may be 4 minutes without air... but a person can't even live for 4 seconds without hope" - Charlie
Tumblr media
Chandramohan "Charlie" Manohar Sharma (Shah Rukh Khan) is a small-time street boxer, seeking revenge against Charan Grover (Jackie Shroff), the man responsible for his father’s wrongful conviction. when Charlie learns about Grover’s diamonds being moved to Dubai, he assembles a ragtag team to steal them from the world’s most secure safe - Shalimar. alongside a partially deaf explosives expert Jagmohan "Jag" Prakash (Sonu Sood), a seizure-prone safecracker Tehamton "Tammy" Irani (Boman Irani), Jag's nephew and master hacker Rohan Singh (Vivaan Shah), and Nandu Bhide (Abhishek Bachchan) who is a lookalike to Grover’s son; Charlie’s team enlists the help of Mohini, a bar dancer, so that they would represent India in the World Dance Competition in Dubai. their mission? steal the diamonds and get a redemption.
read my review below (may contain spoilers):
Tumblr media

Tumblr media
it’s New Year and it's my first post with this new blog. it feels perfect to begin my blog with a movie review of Happy New Year. the title suits the occasion, doesn’t it? but don’t expect a soppy or melancholic story here. this Bollywood movie is wild, loud, and utterly chaotic. it’s a diamond heist movie wrapped in humour, and honestly, it’s just as absurd as it is entertaining. from the very start, I feel this movie is not meant to be taken seriously. it’s full of scenes that make no sense and often defy physics. I'm so used to Indian movies, so I just know that this is typical. but that’s what makes it enjoyable! the ridiculousness keeps me entertained throughout. I love how this film embraces its silliness without trying to pretend it’s anything deeper. what really keeps my focus is the chaos. the jokes are loud and familiar for Asians. they may not land as well with Western audiences, but I think that’s the charm. it’s like a peek into different world and humour, something to celebrate rather than criticise. isn’t that the beauty of movies from different cultures?
Tumblr media
this movie gives me no chance to feel bored, despite its lengthy duration. every scene is over the top in a way that makes me giggle, or at least chuckle. I appreciate how the director, Farah Khan, doesn’t attempt to make the story serious, which is her trademark. by keeping it light, the movie maintains its fun vibe throughout. even though it’s far from Bollywood’s best work, I enjoy it a lot. it’s pure entertainment. if I have one complaint, it’s Abhishek Bachchan. I’ve never been a fan of his acting, and even here, he doesn’t impress me. it’s hard to live up to his legendary father, Amitabh Bachchan; or his talented wife, Aishwarya Rai. but overall, he doesn’t ruin the movie. the rest of the cast makes up for it, with their quirky performances and comedic timing. in conclusion, Happy New Year is not perfect, but it’s good fun. it’s a chaotic, silly movie that’s perfect for celebrating the New Year with a laugh. if you’re looking for deep storytelling, skip this one. but if you want lighthearted entertainment, it’s worth a watch.
Tumblr media
final verdict: I think it was okay/watchable
Tumblr media
age rating: 16+ genre: action, comedy duration: 3h (180 min) country: India language: Hindi screenplay: Farah Khan, Althea Kaushal, Mayur Puri major cast: Shah Rukh Khan, Boman Irani, Suno Sood, Vivaan Shah, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff

HELLOO. i see you reblog a lot of hindi cinema!! i would love to watch more of it, what are your top 10 favorites?
🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍
this might be my favorite thing I've received in my inbox.
wh I well I wh how could I possibly refuse hee hee hee hee
limiting this to hindi cinema helps!! or so I thought, before I went through several rounds of intense interrogation and several scribbled pages of notes and realized this just outs me as a baby shah rukh khan stan, which I am. I resisted every impulse to try to make the list broad and varied and kept only repeating 'what are your FAVORITES, what are your FAVORITES' and even then narrowing everything down was really painful... I feel like I've watched very many but then not very many at all.
There are another half-dozen more I had to cut with great anguish (Paheli, Ram-Jaane, the Don films) OMG EDITED TO FINISH MY FRIGGIN SENTENCE: BUT I PRESENT TO YOU AND TO ALL: VI TSUPERTSUNDERE'S TOP TEN:
Tumblr media
Mohabbatein ("Love Stories", dir Aditya Chopra, 2000)
A young men's college ruled by a headmaster who disdains love--can one music teacher help three love stories grow, and let love tower above all? ✫ My first hindi film. Still can't think of a better introduction. Truly has it all. My favorite ghost story also!! ✧ Standout number: the three ingenues have an incredible dance sequence - it's the emotional climax of the film for me.
Tumblr media
Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai ("Say You Love Me", dir Rakesh Roshan, 2000)
When Rohit, an aspiring musician, meets Saxena, a rich bussinessman's daughter, his dreams of stardom glimmer right within his reach. Life has other plans. ✩ Hrithik Roshan's debut - and what a debut! My first introduction to a beloved facet of hindi cinema - double roles!! ✫ Standout number: The number that takes place in Cafe Indiana, Ek Pal Ka Jeena, accurately conveys how it felt like to go to a Rainforest Cafe when I was very young. Truly thrilling!
Tumblr media
Muhjse Dosti Karoge! ("Will You Be My Friend!", dir Kunal Kohli, 2002)
Childhood friends Raj, Tina, and Pooja are caught in a classic love triangle - Pooja loves Raj, but he only has eyes for Tina. When he moves away, Pooja poses as Tina as they email back and forth and their friendship blossoms long-distance. A decision made in childhood brings problems to Pooja's doorstep - as they all graduate high school and become adults, Raj returns home... ✧ Rani Mukherjee and Kareena Kapoor are the real MVPs here - shining stars in every movie they're in. ✩ Standout Sequence: The medley, seen above, brought me to my fucking feet when we first watched it. The characters diagetically are singing these popular songs for each other at a wedding celebrations - each song's lyrics weave in and apply on multiple levels, depending on who knows what and what they mean, up to and including Hrithik Roshan reprising Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai! Genuinely one of my favorite sequences I've seen period on film, if I could ever put together anything half as layered I'd be patting myself on the back forever.
Tumblr media
Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... ("Through Smiles and Through Tears", dir Karan Johar, 2001)
The wealthy Raichand family splits in half when elder son Rahul falls in love with a lower-caste girl and marries her - younger son Rohit watches his beloved brother disappear to England and the light in his home wither away. When he becomes an adult, he's determined to find his brother and unite them all again. ✫ These three fuckers as a dad and two sons just make a fascinating family together, let alone the kind of heavy hitting talent you get from Jaya Bachchan (indeed married to Amitji) and of course Kajol my beloved Kajol most of all. 'It's All About Loving Your Parents' is a much much much... much harder sell than I'm prepared to give - at the very least, it's all the drama I can watch in. ✫ Standout Sequence: Bole Chudiyan above is so much fun, of course, but Say Shava Shava is also a really great 'here's how fun things are when things are GOOD' establishing song. When Amitji says 'EVERYBODY' he is not asking!!
Those four films are a truncated highlight reel of the 8 or so films I like watching around the holidays!! They work really well together and I associate them with each other a lot.
Tumblr media
Darr ("Fear", dir Yash Chopra, 1993)
Kiran Awasthi has a freshly minted college degree, a bus ticket home, a beloved boyfriend in the Navy... and a stalker. A young woman is slowly driven mad by a ruthless specter who will stop at nothing to be by her side. As she and her boyfriend escalate... so does he. ✧ Truly breathtaking. A breakout role for SRK, another hit cementing Juhi Chawla my fucking beloved Juhi Chawla as the OG expression queen. My favorite horror film. Rahul Mehra deserves to be in Dead By Daylight so he can fight Leon in a twink off. Simply the bloodiest there is. My Halloween costume next year. ✩ Standout sequence: Any time Juhi Chawla is on screen and I'm not kidding.
Tumblr media
Chaahat ("Desire", dir Mahesh Bhatt, 1996)
When the father of a father-and-son comedy duo gets sick, his son, Roop, would do anything to secure the money he needs to restore his father's health. So when he catches the eye of a wealthy club owner's sister, he can't say no, no matter how much her desire consumes... ✫ Diametric opposite of Darr, now Shah Rukh Khan is the target!! As a carnivore girl lover I can't not adore it. ✧ Standout sequence: Chaahat Na Hoti, pictured above. This was the frame that made me sit up and go 'oh I have to... I gotta watch this movie right now. Right now.' And I was so right.
Tumblr media
Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani ("Yet, I Have the Heart of an Indian", dir Aziz Mirza, 2000)
Ajay Bakshi is a hotheaded, loudmouthed reporter - a rival media network hires his counterpart and superior, Ria Bannerjee, to try to take him down. ✫ A gag-a-minute comedy with more gumflaps than brains, just like our lead. Juhi is heaven in this. I can only describe this as 'I think this is what the guy from American Psycho THOUGHT was going on.' Was a flop - came out right after Kaho Na... Pyaar Hai and couldn't compete - but it hits the zany button like nothing else. ✧ Standout sequence: The inventiveness of the sets in pretty much every song is my favorite. CONTENT WARNING: There is an awful anti-Chinese gag sequence at about the middle of the film. The two leads pose as Chinese reporters to get into somewhere, and it's just wall to wall racial caricatures. I hit that ff button through it myself, a truly unpleasant marring in an otherwise goofy-ass romp.
Tumblr media
Chak de! India ("Let's go! India", dir Shimit Amin, 2007)
Can a disgraced former field hockey star turn 16 proud, contentious players from all over the country into one unified team as their coach? Can each young woman play her all on the field - for herself and for her team? ✩ A sports anime fit into one film, I wish it were several seasons long. Each girl is spectacular and is a joy to watch!! ✫ Standout Sequence: The character work is where this one shines. Bindiya Naik is my personal favorite (and not just because the instant I saw her performance I went 'omg, she's playing my OC almost exactly. I'd cast her in a heartbeat!)
Tumblr media
Fan (dir Maneesh Sharma, 2016)
Aryan Khanna is the King of Bollywood. Gaurav Chandna is almost him, but not quite - knows everything about him by heart, uses him as the light in his life, and Gaurav even looks just enough like him to boot. All Gaurav wants is five minutes of his time. Just five minutes... ✩ Eminem's 'Stan' as a feature length thriller that literally no one else could make. I can only quote this letterboxd review, because it's right: "even if there was another celebrity who could pull off tearing himself open to splash his own imposter syndrome onscreen, they wouldn't dare try...happy birthday to the only actor good enough to make his fans sympathize with his own stalker". I was SO upset to learn that this flopped. ✫ Standout Sequences: the practical and special effects used to differentiate SRK's two roles bar none some of the best I've experienced - uncanny valley is real here, and half of the horror is the ALMOST. but not quite.
✫✧✩✫✧✩✫✫✧✩✫✧✩✫
While I followed a loose, non-ranking order for the preceding nine entries, I had to save the only possible film for number one:
Tumblr media
Om Shanti Om (dir Farah Khan, 2007)
"30 years ago," irrepressible junior artist Om Prakash Makhija has only one dream grander than making it big in the film industry - to get a chance to act alongside his greatest inspiration, superstar Shanti. His wish comes true, but, well... some dreams, one lifetime is not enough... ✫ THE BEST MOVIE THAT EXISTS. THE BEST MOVIE THAT DOESN'T EXISTS. Don't believe me? Let these ladies convince you - when I learned that somehow The Coolest And Most Sparkling theater troupe on the face of the planet staged a production of this I literally got so lightheaded I couldn't see for a second. This movie came out when I was thirteen - if I had seen it then I think it would have made a huge difference. As it was, I saw it at the second most perfect time: when I was/am also a 30 year old irrepressible junior goofball, just like Om. Farah Khan is one of my favorite directors for certain. A film about the hindi film industry, I place it last also because the more faces you recognize, songs you can pick out, movie references you can catch, the better - and it's incredible even still. ✧ Standout sequence: I can't say the whole movie (... minus Deewangi Deewangi it's the Yakuza 4 of this movie) can I??? Let me just say - long story short, Farah Khan got the idea for this film when Andrew Lloyd Weber had her to choreography for his stage show, Bollywood Dreams. She thought the plot, a poor junior artist becoming a big Bollywood star, was eye-rollingly unrealistic. She could do better, she thought... and that idea eventually became Om Shanti Om. The climax is her proving she could do Phantom of the Opera better than him, too!!
✫✧✩✫✧✩✫✫✧✩✫✧✩✫
And, if you'll indulge me... in thanks for giving me a really fun thing to do today, I have one more film: one that I think you would like, based off of the vibes of the journal entries I got to read!
Tumblr media
Veer-Zaara (dir Yash Chopra, 2004)
An Indian pilot and the daughter of a Pakistani politician fall in love, but are wrenched apart when the pilot is imprisoned on false charges. He languishes 22 years in prison, never saying a word, until a young Pakistani lawyer is assigned his case and she is determined to see him freed... ✧ Certified Mom Movie and is an absolute banger. When I thought 'who would be a character who I could see Estelle looking forward to meeting for lunch', Rani Mukherjee's lawyer was right at the top of the list. ✫ Standout Sequence: My personal favorite, Main Yahaan Hoon, is the song linked above. It drives me Insane absolutely Insane - this depicts 'they're not in the room but they're the only thing on your mind' in a way seldom more effective!
✫✧✩✫✧✩✫✫✧✩✫✧✩✫
omg NOW I'm done for eel. This was a terrific exercise in tilling the soil in my brain - I'm really inspired by the all visual direction, the colors and depths, the sensibilities in general exemplified by the movies here, and hope to one day reflect it in my own work! I have to make the Yash Raj reshade shaders I want to see in the world.
Please don't hesitate to drop me a line about anything you find interesting here, other movies you've seen, or anything else! Genuinely truly always love getting to see your work. Thank you for reading!

Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan reunite as Mufasa and Simba, while AbRam Khan makes his debut as young Mufasa in Mufasa: The Lion King. Hindi trailer, watch
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his eldest son Aryan Khan will reprise their legendary roles as Mufasa and Simba in Disney's much-anticipated prequel, Mufasa: The Lion King, in Hindi. To add a bit of familial magic to the film, AbRam, the youngest Khan, will make his voice-acting debut as young Mufasa. The news was officially verified with the publication of the Hindi teaser, which drove fans into a frenzy of anticipation and nostalgia. The teaser highlights the story's grandeur and emotional depth, offering a cinematic experience that will appeal to audiences of all ages.
Tumblr media
Millions of people were captivated by Shah Rukh Khan's imposing presence and booming voice as Mufasa in The Lion King's 2019 Hindi dubbed remake. His portrayal of the wise and benevolent king received widespread praise, making him an indelible part of the film's legacy. With Aryan Khan as the young Simba, the father-son combination produced on-screen chemistry that reflected the characters' loving bond.
Now that the prequel digs deeper into Mufasa's story, AbRam Khan's naive voice adds a new and appealing layer to the character. His portrayal of the young lion cub is guaranteed to captivate audiences and inspire a new generation of followers.
Speaking about the collaboration, Shah Rukh Khan said, "Mufasa has a wonderful lineage and stands as the supreme king of the jungle, passing on his wisdom to his son, Simba. I personally relate to him as a father, and I also identify with Mufasa's journey in the film. Mufasa: The Lion King chronicles Mufasa's existence from childhood to his ascent to become a magnificent king, and revisiting this character has been fantastic. It's a wonderful cooperation for me with Disney, especially since my sons, Aryan and AbRam, are part of the journey, and sharing this experience with them is quite meaningful." "The ferocious Mufasa is more than simply a fictitious character; he represents a spirit that has inspired generations, which is something Disney aspires to achieve with each movie. When Mufasa: The Lion King was revealed, we could only imagine Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan reprising their roles as Mufasa and Simba. With AbRam joining the cast, this film has become much more special for us. Our goal here is for millions of Indian viewers to enjoy this great narrative with their family!" remarked Bikram Duggal, Head of Studios at Disney Star.
Disney Entertainment wowed attendees at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event this weekend with a stunning preview of forthcoming films and programs. The night concluded on a particularly high note with the captivating presentation of Mufasa: The Lion monarch, the much-anticipated prequel that delves into the beginnings of the beloved monarch of the Pride Lands. The film's director, Oscar-winning filmmaker Barry Jenkins, made a special appearance for fans.
Mufasa: The Lion King honors the heritage of the original 1994 animated classic, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. It also adheres to the visual approach created in the 2019 live-action version, which enthralled fans worldwide and grossed an astonishing $1.6 billion at the global movie office.
The trailer dives into Mufasa's early years, charting his improbable journey to become one of the greatest kings. Rafiki, the wise mandrill, relates the legend of Mufasa to Kiara, Simba and Nala's daughter, in an enthralling story, with Timon and Pumbaa providing their trademark humorous relief.
The story is told through intriguing flashbacks, beginning with a small cub named Mufasa, who is orphaned and alone. Fate intervenes when he meets Taka, a sympathetic lion who is also the heir to a royal family. This fortuitous encounter sparks an epic journey for Mufasa and his unusual companions, all misfits looking for their place in the world. Their relationships will be challenged as they face strong opponents and battle for their fate. Beyond the star-studded D23 presentation, the film features an even larger cast. John Kani, Tiffany Boone, Kagiso Lediga, Preston Nyman, Mads Mikkelsen, Thandiwe Newton, Lennie James, Keith David, Donald Glover, Blue Ivy Carter, Folake Olowofoyeku, Joanna Jones, Thuso Mbedu, Sheila Atim, Abdul Salis, Dominique Jennings, and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter all lend their voices to bring this captivating story to life.
The film's production team is similarly impressive. Adele Romanski and Mark Ceryak serve as producers, with Peter Tobyansen as executive producer. By merging live-action techniques with cutting-edge CGI, they've created a visually spectacular experience unlike anything else. Mufasa: The Lion King hits theaters on December 20, 2024. Indian fans may celebrate the film's release on the same day, as it is accessible in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

A Bridgerton AU with SOME Om Shanti Om elements?
The Spouses get murdered in a fire by their evil relatives/foes (Cressida, Mary’s parents, Araminta, Rosamund, Simon’s father, Philip’s father, Lucy’s uncle, Gareth’s father). They set fire to Aubrey Hall and ensure they were all trapped but the Bridgertons all tried to save them. The spouses dying, the Bridgerton burnt but slightly breathing. Horrified, the villains buried the Bridgerton bodies alive.
The spouses bodies were found and it was depicted as accidental/or the villains made it seem it like they deliberately killed themselves in the fire. The Bridgertons Siblings were never found…
Twenty five years later, the spouses reincarnated and they start a romance with the look alike of their spouse from the other life. Each couple married and the spouses had the pleasure to befriend each other and they decided to collectively buy and rebuild Aubrey Hall. But Strange’s occurrences start to happen as they start gaining flashbacks, old Dowager Violet insisted that they were her beloved son and daughter in laws, finally they see the villains and memories came back.
Shenanigans and stuff, a bittersweet moment where the ghost of their dead loves saved them and smiled sadly at them as Simon, Kate, Sophie, Penelope, Phillip, Michael, Lucy, and Garett embraced their new loves (Bridgerton look alikes) tearfully looking over their shoulders as the Bridgerton Ghost bid farewell with tears in their faces before running into the light.
All they ever wanted was their spouses’ happiness and don’t worry… a piece of their soul resides within the look alikes.
You guys assume I watch a lot of Indian movies.... And it's true. So let me gush a little bit about 'Om Shanti Om' and how much I used to fangirl over Shah Rukh Khan when I was younger than I am now. ❤️❤️❤️SRK my honey 😙😙
But back to the Bridgerton au, yes I agree with everything you said here and we should definitely have a 'Om Shanti Om' au for the Bridgertons I would read the heck out of it and so would everyone else. Someone, anyone, please write this. 🥺🥺🥺

CALLED TO BE PRODUCTIVE IN OUR SPIRITUAL JOURNEY
33rd SUNDAY OF THE ORDINARY TIME:
An Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan, Badshah(king) of Bollywood, a familiar personality in the world today, hails from a humble origin. Journey that he has made from insignificant to significant, unknown to known is something thrilling and interesting. People just don't look at him as mere Bollywood actor, but an inspiration to many who strive to be successful in life. Shah Rukh Khan started his acting debut as a simple, ordinary television actor in Door Darshan, the only Indian television in 80s and made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with Deewana. He was initially recognized for playing villainous roles in the films Baazigar (1993) and Darr (1993), but today he is the most sought-after film personality. There are series of motivational TED talks by Shah Rukh Khan available for the youth to imitate.  Today, this person is significantly known for multiplying his talents to become king of Bollywood.
The liturgy of the word of today reminds us not only the end of the liturgical year but also of the end of all things and calls for preparations to achieve our ultimate goal. All three readings invite us to live our life in such a way that we make best use of our God given talents to climb the ladders of our life on earth and face the second coming of the Lord, the final judgement day as “good and faithful servant”.
The First Reading of today speaks about a perfect woman of strong character, great wisdom, many skills and great compassion. How lucky a husband could be to have such a woman as his wife, who looks after the affairs of the house as well as has compassion for the poor and the needy. God, our eternal spouse looking for such brides for his kingdom.
The Second Reading of today is a reminder by St. Paul to the Christians in Thessalonica, to live a life of productivity, without expecting immediate ratification, but as children of light. Jesus, who is the light of the world has adopted us to be the reflections of that image and likeness of God.
The Gospel Reading of today invites us to be responsible citizens of this world. The master has been observing his servants in a close distance for a long time. That is how he distributes his property differently according to their abilities. This parable describes the consequences of two attitude of Christ’s return. The person who assiduously prepares by investing his or her time and talents to serve God will be rewarded. The person who has no heart for the work of the kingdom will be punished. God rewards faithfulness. Those who bear no fruit for God’s kingdom cannot expect to be treated the same as those who are faithful. 1) God gives each person different gifts and talents according our potentiality (2) More will be given to those who are more responsible (3) The unproductive and callous will be punished.
What are the talents and abilities you have?
Do you take responsibility to nurture these talents?
Are you accountable to God for all that you have been doing?
PRAYER:
God my master, thank you for creating me as human person with ability to live happily in this world. Thank you for giving me wisdom to utilize those talents and capabilities responsibly. As Jesus, your Son, multiplied five loaves and two fish, and fed five thousand people, similarly, bless me to multiply your given talents make this world a better place and thus prepare myself to encounter my Lord and master in his second coming. Amen.
