Soft Notes & Gentle Shades | Shadowhunters
FANDOM: Shadowhunters
PAIRING: Alec Lightwood x Magnus Bane
WORD COUNT: 1246
RATING: PG-13
POTENTIAL TRIGGERS: N/A
SUMMARY: Living together has brought some complicated feelings for young artist Magnus and vocal prodigy Alec. The moments where they can sneak loving looks are some of the most treasured.
☼ ☽ ☆ ⁑ ☼ ☽ ☆ ⁑ ☼ ☽ ☆ ⁑ ☼ ☽ ☆ ⁑ ☼ ☽ ☆ ⁑
Being roommates with a music major wasn’t as terrifying as Magnus had originally suspected. Alec’s preferred instrument was an acoustic guitar, thank Nyx, and more often than not, Magnus found himself listening quietly to the lilt of Alec’s voice as he practiced the assigned music or worked on covers for his hobby posting covers on youtube. Sometimes he would just sit and watch, enjoying the way the slightly younger male got into the music. It was beautiful and inspiring. Magnus would never forget the first time he picked up a charcoal pencil and began rough sketching Alec leaning back on their couch, fingers strumming as he taught himself “Thinking Out Loud”. Drawing Alec was something Magnus did to try and keep his feelings for his roommate and friend in check. Today had been rough, professor Fairchild critiquing works meant to be reminiscent of Van Gogh and only a handful of his classmates got a decent amount of praise. Magnus himself had gotten a fair bit of it, but he hadn’t been satisfied with his work, and he had admitted as such. Professor Fairchild - his favorite of the art teachers he’d had - had smiled as she patted his shoulder and explained that it was okay to not like every work he created.
“Sometimes things didn’t fit our usual style, Magnus. It’s okay to not feel complete when we try something new for the first time.”
Magnus had smiled and offered to let her keep his painting, since he didn’t feel he would do anything with it. The lovely woman had agreed and before he’d left, he had helped her hang it next to the vast window near her desk - the forest creek beautiful, but to Magnus not complete. So he’d walked back to the dorm room and gone to put his things in his room, waving at Alec as he passed the other on the couch, smiling back when the blue eyed man smiled and waved as he held his guitar. He set his bag in his room and grabbed his homework, going to the other couch and opening his textbook to read about the Rococo period with Alec's voice in the background. After finishing the needed chapter and filling several pages in his notebook with notes for the next day, he stopped to get a snack from the kitchen, pausing as he actually began listening to the song Alec was singing. Why was his roommate so damn beautiful? It should be illegal and to top it off, Alec was so talented it was unreal. Magnus was in awe as he watched Alec, the other so lost in the music that he didn’t notice Magnus staring for a long moment. Dark eyes closed and Magnus had to shake himself as he moved back to his spot, pulling his sketchbook from the pile of stuff on the coffee table between them, pulling out one of his finer pencils and glancing up as he began to draw his roommate.
Alec wasn’t sure how to respond when he finished the practice of the cover he was working on to find Magnus drawing on a sketchpad. “Mags?” The nickname pulled Magnus from whatever he’d been working on, and he smiled, dark eyes so loving Alec melted inside. Why was Magnus always so perfect? But after a moment he figured he should say something, so he opened his mouth. “You alright?”
“Yeah. I just...I heard you singing and it just kind of...sparked something. I needed to draw it.” Magnus replied, eyes going back to the page and smudging something the lightest bit.
“What is it?”
The artist shrugged a little. “Nothing major. Just a doodle, really.” he replied, waiting a moment with his lip caught between his teeth. “Will you sing again for me, Alexander?” The inquiry came with a smile and Alec forgot completely that he hadn’t been singing for Magnus, or even to his roommate. But he nodded and moved to make sure his guitar was in tune again, letting the song flow from him as he played.
“Pick up the pen, put it on the paper, Write on my skin, bring me to life. Can’t start again, there ain’t no eraser, All of my flaws, you got them so right.”
He didn’t notice as Magnus twirled his fingers to rotate the pencil before the other went back to work, Magnus shading and drawing without looking.
“Everything is blank until you’ve drawn me. Touching on my body like you know me. Write on me, color outside the lines. Love the way you tear me up, baby take your time. Write on me, give me some wings I’ll fly. Love the way you tear me up, I’ll never change my mind.”
Magnus didn’t need to look up to get the details right. He’d been drawing Alec for almost two years, after all. But it all came to life as he brought the image to life, drawn in by the music. The faintest smile curving Alec’s lips as he sang, the easy way slender fingers moved along the neck of the guitar, even the way the light filtered through raven hair. Magnus smiled as he filled in places and left others empty, the image perfect as he set the pencil down and closed the book, getting up to wash the pencil residue from his hands. “Should I give you some time to film so you can post?” he asked, looking over at Alec from the little kitchen island as he washed his hands off and dried them.
Alec looked up and smiled. “No, I’m not posting this week. The state contest is this weekend, I won’t have the time to edit. Besides, it’s not quite where I want it to be.” he answered, looking up as he put his guitar away. “How’d the critique go?”
“Good, I just didn’t feel like my piece was complete. Professor Fairchild has it in her room now.” he replied, smiling. “She loved that I went with the nature aspect. Most everyone went with self portrait style.”
“I don’t see why you didn’t do the self portrait.”
“I’m not good at drawing myself, Alexander.” Magnus replied, bringing a soda from the fridge over and handing it to Alec. “Are you nervous about the competition?”
“Not as worried as I was. We finally got results, and I was second chair.” came the reply as Alec popped the cap from the soda bottle and took a drink. “I mean, yeah, I’m still practicing, but I’m not as super worried about it like I was last week.”
“You’ll be fine, Alexander. One more patch and trophy, right?” Magnus teased, not missing the blush on Alec’s cheeks as the other bit his lower lip.
“I’m glad you don’t put much emphasis on my singing. That’s all some people see.”
Magnus arched a brow from where he had situated with another textbook. “Alexander, there is so much more to you than people believe. Maybe it’s because I have such a close relationship with you day to day, but I know there’s more to you than that angel’s voice of yours.” He gave an encouraging smile and Alec smiled back and when he looked back to his book, Alec moved to pick up his own textbook and the two fell into comfortable silence. Magnus didn’t comment on the fair blush painted along Alec’s face, and Alec didn’t mention the way Magnus’ eyes had lit as he’d said the words ‘close relationship’.

Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: Shadowhunters (TV) Rating: General Audiences Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Magnus Bane/Alec Lightwood Characters: Magnus Bane, Alec Lightwood, Isabelle Lightwood Additional Tags: Moving In Together, Just Married, Domestic Fluff Series: Part 19 of Pride Fics 2024! 🌈 Summary:
A month after Alec moved in, he suggested that they redecorate the apartment together.
“No.”
Magnus frowned. “No?”
Alec turned the page of the book he was reading, apparently completely unconcerned with the conversation. “I mean, it’s sweet of you to ask, but it’s unnecessary.”
Alec doesn't have a lot of things to bring to Magnus's apartment when he moves in after they get married, and he doesn't have any interest in changing the apartment to suit him better. This bothers Magnus, and he's not quite sure why or what to do about it.

Hi, I was hoping you could help me find a story I read ages ago but I can't seem to find for the life of me.
It's one where Alec as well as most of the gang are NY detective while magnus is a medical examiner who's just joined the team. I believe it's based around the show Rizzoli and Isles, and I could have sworn it was called Lightwood and Bane but even with that I can't find it, so I don't know if it's been deleted or I'm just misremembering the name.
Any help you can give would be great!
The fic you describe sounds similar to 'Anything You Say' by milominderbinder. The only fic under 'Lightwood and Bane' found is an AU by dykeadellic where Magnus is a fashion designer and Alec is a Lawyer.

previous chapter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Serena had rushed downstairs; on the way she had wondered how she didn’t trip and fall. Davidson had gotten to Angelika before her, he had stalked in front Serena, with his sword in his hand, the Salvatore man looked at the Vampire up and down. “Charlotte and Henry won’t like the fact that a Downworlder came into the Institute without their over-sight,” Davidson said and with her hands clenched, Angelika gently stomped on her foot.
‘It’s urgent,” the red-headed women said. “I need to speak to Serena---” though before she repeated herself again, she had sensed the sweet scent of the Spirit run towards them, so she looked over Davidson, eyes bright to her arrival.
Relieved when Serena aimed towards them, Angelika attempted to speak to her, but Davidson had blocked Serena from coming closer. Serena breathed through her teeth, annoyed, as she pushed away the hair in front of her face. The trio had been outside, the sky stopped raining and the night was at its darkest. The Moon shone above them as Angelika briefly watched how the glow of the crescents danced in Serena’s orbs.
The night had been accompanied by the stars, and if Angelika had not been in this circumstance, she’d comment how the Moon complimented Serena. “Serena,” Angelika pleaded. “Please make Davidson leave us alone,” Angelika frowned and once Davidson glanced at the Venrosa woman, a short look she had sent his way had made him immediately fall to her quiet command.
Davidson returned into the building, and once they had been alone, Serena turned to look at the Vampire. “What is it you need?’ Serena questioned and with a deep sigh, Angelika held her gloved hands.
“Serena, I need your blood,” Angelika said, and confused, Serena pulled a face. “Not for me,” Angelika explained. “For Carlisle…he’s gotten obsessed with it, he’s denying anything else but what ruins through your veins.”
Surprised, Serena folded her arms in disbelief to what she had been told. “Lady Serena,” Angelika begged. “The condition he’s in, I’ve never seen it, he can’t even walk, Serena.”
Serena glowered as her eyebrows furrowed, she hadn’t considered any of them becoming infatuated. “Fine,” Serena breathed. “I’ll get a tube of blood.”
“I’d follow,” Angelika said. “But the Institute is Holy Grounds so I cannot come in.”
Apologetic, Serena nodded her head before she led herself back into the Institute. The only place Angelika could come in was the Sanctuary, though the Vampire remained where Serena had last seen her. When Serena returned back into the building, Davidson had been in the foyer, hands in his pockets as he watched Serena walk by him.
“Did she leave?” Davidson questioned.
“She needs my blood,” Serena answered and with his right eyebrow perked, Davidson pushed himself off the wall.
“For what reason?” Davidson harshly questioned as he behind her, Serena explained, which had caused him to become furtherly annoyed. “Why on Earth would you do that?”
Serena turned to him with a rude look on her face. “Because I wanted to,” Serena replied.
Davidson snorted. “With the way you’re behaving we might as well put you on a leash---”
“What’s going on?” Tessa questioned as she walked down the stairs, but Davidson had been dismissive.
“Ever since you came to the Mortal Realm, all you have done was a bunch of stupid---”
“You’re one to talk about stupidity!” Serena barked back, aware that if she had continued arguing with him, the night would end with Serena adding Davidson’s blood to Carlisle supply.
Though, once Serena realised Tessa had come down, she turned to look at her. “Tessa,” Serena frowned and with a look of acknowledgement, Tessa had looked between Davidson and Serena.
“What is going on between the two of you?” Tessa questioned.
With folded arms, Serena looked away from her. “Nothing,” she said before she heard Davidson mutter under his breath which had then made Serena send him a challenging look, an expression that dared him to repeat what he had said. “Say one more thing, I swear I’ll fling you out of the Institute.”
Davidson kissed his teeth before he walked away from the two women.
“Well,” Tessa said as she moved closer towards Serena. “It doesn’t seem like everything is okay,” she softly joked and silently, Serena continued to walk towards the kitchen.
Tessa followed after her. “What are you doing?” Tessa questioned as she peered over Serena’s shoulder.
Serena had then awkwardly explained Tessa what had been her circumstance, but she had made sure to leave out the fact that she had been touched by both Carlisle and Angelika. Surprised, Tessa pressed her hand against the wings of her throat. “Isn’t Vampire fangs infectious?” She questioned, normally when people were bitten and drank by Vampires, they’d have to drink Holy Water to take out their poison, if not they’re likely to turn into one of them.
“Not to Venusian Spirits,” Serena replied as she made round the kitchen. The kitchen had been cold, so Serena hugged herself. “It’s been a long time since I’ve stepped into a kitchen.”
With a sad smile, Serena trailed her hands against the islands of the kitchen. “It used to be one of my favourite places before everything.”
“You used to cook?” Tessa questioned as she shadowed her.
“Yes,” Serena said as she looked towards the distance as she reminisced her time cooking for her family. “I baked more,” she had then corrected. “I was supposed to open a café with my family on my Eighteenth Birthday,” but before Serena could continue, she looked at Tessa with an apologetic expression. “I’m sorry, I must’ve made everything so dull.”
Desperate, Tessa shook her head. “No, you didn’t, it’s fine, I like learning about you.”
“You’re from a whole different realm, descended from Aphrodite herself,” Tessa said, the sentence had already not felt real, as if it was from a silly fairy tale. “Like a novel itself,” Tessa complimented, and with warmth, Serena smiled at her before she focused on looking for a tube and kitchen knife. “You do look like you belong to a book, a novel, a gothic one actually,” she continued.
Serena stopped what she was doing. “Am I really that scary looking?” Serena questioned as she put the knife down.
To correct herself, Tessa shook her head. “Not in that manner,” the Gray woman affirmed. “You’re really beautiful, but in an intimidating way, like a Siren luring men to eat them---well that’s what Will said.”
Serena sourly smiled. “I think the same,” Tessa said. “I think your beauty is comparable to Moon at its peak, hovering above a dark ocean while accompanying a beach at night.”
Tessa really did speak a lot. She had a smile on her face while she spoke, but it immediately dropped when she saw Serena cut herself a pour the blood in the tube. It hadn’t hurt as much as she thought it would’ve, the pain had felt like a burning addiction, something pleasant.
When she finished, she closed the tube, the wound was healed immediately, as if Serena had never harmed herself. Infatuated, Tessa had watched, and silent, she had followed Serena out of the kitchen.
“What’s your favourite book?” Tessa questioned.
“Midas,” Serena answered.
“Well, aside from Greek stories,” Tessa smiled.
Serena chuckled at her. “It’s a book that only Venus has,” Serena started. “Called Cyrella, the Moon Princess,” she sadly smiled, it was a book her mother had given her. “It’s about a lost princess, finding her way back home.”
“Cyrella, a Princess born without her mother had left the kingdom to search for her, unaware that the Moon was actually who she was looking for, guided her back home once she freed her mother from being a luminary all the time.”
Thoughtful, Tessa frowned. “So, what happened to the Moon, did it just disappear?”
“No,” Serena frowned. “Her mother was still the Moon in the Sky and was still the Moon on Land, it’s to represent the duality of the Moon, the many faces of it,” Serena smiled, the two of them had returned back to Angelika whose eyes twinkled at the sight of both Serena and Tessa.
Angelika examined Tessa. “This is exciting,” she shared, aware that Serena had told Tessa to stay behind her, and she did so. “What were the two of you doing? I felt like I was waiting an hour,” she complained as she collected the tube Serena had brought her. “This’ll only last a week, it won’t help.”
With her arms folded, Serena perked her right eyebrow. “He can wait it out.”
Stubborn, Angelika looked behind Serena. “Is this the Gray girl?”
“None of your business,” Serena snapped. “The obsession with my blood should wear off, now shoo,” Serena commanded Angelika, who was aware that she as a Vampire wouldn’t be able to compete against Serena, had hissed before she spoke one last time.
“If something happens, it’ll all be your fault,” Angelika frowned.
“No one forced Carlisle to drink my blood,” Serena bit back. “You drank it as well, how comes it’s not impacting you?”
“As sweet as your blood is, I’ve been a Vampire for a long time and I know how to handle my impulses,” Angelika explained. “Carlisle on the other hand, has been a Vampire for ten years, it’s easier for him to become engrossed to it.”
“I’m sorry, Angelika, but right now, there’s not much I can do,” Serena shared. “Right now, it’s not my issue---and I think it’s best for you to leave now.”
Angelika flared her nose, there had been a specific look on her eyes, emotions of complex, sadness or anger, however, the Vampire had said nothing before she sped away.
♡⊹˚₊ ❦ ❀ ₊˚⊹♡
Two hours had passed since Angelika left the Institute grounds, Davidson had been outside and the Moon had slowly lowered. The Salvatore man had lit his cigarette once more, eyes narrow as he watched the gates of the territory open, with a smirk, he had realised the person who had walked through the gates had been Will.
As he breathed in the smoke, Davidson had prepared for the Herondale man to walk pass him, so when Davidson realised that he made a turn to him, both of his eyebrows popped upwards. He had blown the smoke Will’s way as he saw the dark-haired man open his mouth to speak. “Aren’t you supposed to be inside protecting Dear Sweet Serena?”
Davidson gently coughed out some of the smoke. “Shouldn’t you be inside protecting Dear Sweet Jem?”
Will twisted his face at him.
“The night is still young,” Davidson reminded him. “Get your sleep for tomorrow’s quest.”
Will scoffed at him. “You will not be coming.”
Davidson’s eyes glinted. “Yes of course,” he politely agreed. “I will be with Serena.” Will tried to hide the scowl on his face, but Davidson saw the way Will had balled his fists, thus, he stood up straight. “Of course,” Davidson hummed. “You feel into the Sweet Venus Trap of hers.”
“You’re not the first---she can woo anyone, male or female, she’s like honey,” Davidson explained as he pulled one more puff. “Everyone else is the hungry lustful bees---have you had her?” Davidson frowned, his inquire more like a suggestion. “When you’re inside of her, you just never want to leave, have her all the time while she’s moaning under you with her sweet moans---it’ll kill you Will, in such a sweet way. A Siren, trust me.”
“I should strangle you,” Will muttered and with a smug look, Davidson clicked his tongue.
“Serena won’t like that,” Davidson warned him.
Smug, Will pulled his head back. “Serena is mad at you, I’m sure she won’t care,” he shrugged as he then moved his hands in his coat pockets. “I’m sure taking your life is something she would want, considering what happened in her bedroom.”
Davidson made a face at him.
“You had her,” Will pointed out. “Knowing she was best friends with a woman you’re engaged to.”
Davidson clenched his jaw; he was put off by the cigarette now. “I wanted to tell her that---I wanted to tell her everything---”
“But you didn’t,” Will shook his head. “You ruined a bond between a girl and her best friend, she’ll never forgive you for that.”
Confused, Davidson had dropped his cigarette as he had then stepped forward. “Since when have become Serena’s confidant?” Davidson questioned and Will took a step back, he had felt more sober ever since he started his conversation with Davidson. His usual sneaky eyes meaner. “Have you read her letters?”
The mere silence is what Davidson made laugh. “Is that why she isn’t speaking to you?” Davidson pushed. “Is that why she’s not coming for breakfast…lunch or supper?”
“I---I regret doing such thing,” Will confirmed. “Without her permission---but you! Don’t try and spin this against me---”
“You’re just as bad as me,” Davidson smiled.
Will blinked. “What you did to her was worst!” He pointed, disturbed by how Davidson tried to compare his self to him. “What you did, I’d never do to her, lie to her like that.”
Davidson shrugged his shoulders, pleased to get a rise out of Will.  “You’re getting quite heated, Mr. Herondale,” Davidson smirked as he stepped on the used smoke.
“Everything is your fault,” Will angrily complained. “If you haven’t have done that, Serena wouldn’t have been so secretive, she would have been more open to me! She would’ve spoken to me more!”
Davidson looked at Will as if he was a mad man. “Don’t bother wasting your energy on her, she’ll probably marry Loras since she hates the both of us. It’s a shame for the both of us really, but for you mostly, missing out on her since she’s a good fuck---”
Will had then snapped, had been so quick to collide his hard knuckles against Davidson’s face. Davidson had pushed out a laugh as he had then allowed Will to get on top of him, punch him until he was relieved. Each blow, Will’s eyes spread wider as few specks of Davidson’s blood leapt against his lip, but that wasn’t what had mattered to Will, what had mattered was that Serena wasn’t speaking to him anymore, had forbade him to speak to her. What had mattered was that Serena had the potential to marry Loras Lauraine out of all people.
Will breathed out a good sigh once he was finished, one hand gripped around the fabric of Davidson’s buttoned shirt and face tilted up to the sky. Had he known a woman could make him this insane. Davidson had laughed and it had brought Will back to reality.
“To get under the skin of Mr. William Herondale himself,” Davidson sneered as blood leaked through his nose, aware that the man had stared down at him with much scrutiny, Davidson had found this to be an accomplishment.
Without speaking back to him, Will collected himself to his feet and returned back into the Institute.
♡⊹˚₊ ❦ ❀ ₊˚⊹♡
In their night gowns, Serena and Tessa found themselves to be next to each other again, both sat on top of Serena’s duvet as they had focused on the Book of Aphrodite. Truthfully, it was mostly Tessa who had read it, had hogged it like it was her own, infatuated with the rich text.
She had been amazed with Serena’s talent, making her see the Venusian Language in English with her magic. Beside Tessa, had been Serena who had taken a sip of wine from time to time. “Venusian Spirits cannot do love spells on people?” Tessa questioned with a gasp. Confused, she turned to look at Serena. “You cannot do love spells?”
Serena shook her head.
“I thought you could---especially with the way everyone looks at you,” Tessa explained.
With an arrogant sneer, Serene replied. “Maybe it’s because I’m very pretty,” she corrected and silent Tessa silently agreed.
“You are,” she said as she pushed the book closer against her chest, Tessa had randomly felt heat spread in her cheeks.
Serena had then leaned her head to the side. “You find me pretty?” She clarified even though she had already known the answer.
“Of course, I do,” Tessa groaned. “You have perfect everything, perfect smile, perfect eyes, hair, nose---I thought you woo’d me with your magic, to fall in love.”
Tessa had then paused as she realised what she had said. Ah, so she had been a distant admirer. Observant, Serena pushed herself closer to Tessa, had watched the way she gently cowered away from her. “Do you find yourself pretty?” Serena softly questioned as she gently got a hold of Tessa’s brown hair.
“I’m too tall…people say that, or say that I’m too slender,” Tessa explained and Serena gently rolled her eyes.
“Tessa,” Serena called. “Do you find yourself to be pretty?” She asked once more.
Tessa paused, unaware of what to say. She could feel her breathing getting heavier and hotter, Serena was closer to her than she’d ever been. “Fuck what other people say, I find you to be stunning. You have the prettiest eyes; you have the prettiest hair.”
Tessa had then blushed. “What are you doing?”
“I’m doing nothing,” Serena truthfully said. “Everything you’re feeling right now, it’s your own,” she kindly explained as she tucked some of Tessa’s hair behind her ear. “Do you love me?”
“I didn’t mean to say that,” Tessa had frowned. “I love Jem.”
“And Will,” Serena added and surprised, Tessa looked back at her. “You have a big heart, to love three people at the same time.”
Tessa had then pulled herself back, embarrassed, she didn’t know if Serena had admired her or teased her. “It’s really silly, I’m naïve,” Tessa whined. “To love many people---I barely know you, I feel so silly. I’d never thought I’d have feelings for a girl, but you’re so perfect.”
“You’re perfect,” Serena shot back.
Thus, without a thought, they kissed. Tessa had gasped at how bold she had been, to kiss someone of the same sex. “The others,” Tessa had whimpered and busy by tracing her lips down the length of Tessa’s neck, Serena had sucked on her.
“I’ll make sure they won’t hear us,” Serena said before she used her magic to make the room noiseless to others outside.
Serena had now been on top of Tessa, had quickly pulled off her clothing, Tessa had been shy once her figure was revealed to her, but Serena had been stubborn and had not allowed Tessa to hide her body. She had been so wet when Serena slipped her fingers between Tessa’s opening, and surprised, her eyes widened. “Have you ever allowed someone to touch you like this before?” Serena questioned, and with a tremble, Tessa shook her head, with the motion Serena had used against her pearl was brand-new to her, almost electrifying with how her body had shaken.
Anxious, Tessa quickly grabbed Serena’s moving wrist, there had been a build-up and how hot she had felt, Tessa attempted to wiggle from her, eyes blurred with tears as her body moved against Serena’s digits. “Serena!” She cried out as a fiery heat built between her legs, she had rattled when she felt herself climax, unaware with how much she had rubbed herself against Serena’s fingers, Serena smirked before she pulled off the rest of Tessa’s clothing.
Serena had kissed Tessa again, her clothed body pressed against Tessa’s naked figure, her moans had been so soft, soft struggled moans as she experienced the new feelings of thirst and pleasure Serena had revealed to her. She had gasped when she had felt Serena’s tongue whirl around her nipple, she had stared up at the ceiling, arms and legs wrapped around Serena who had her eyes shut, she had flicked the tip of her tongue against her nipple a few times before she lowered herself down.
Shy, Tessa had pressed her knees together, but hungry, Serena opened her eyes while she spread Tessa’s thighs. “Serena, you don’t have to---ah!” Her back had then arched once she had felt the textured feeling of Serena’s tongue separate her heat, she had been soft with the way she had utilised Tessa, eyes levelled with hers as she had watched the way Tessa had flinched and jerked at every sweet touch of Serena’s.
Tessa had found her hand in Serena’s locks, silently pleaded her for more, and whined loudly once she had felt Serena suck on her cunt. “Serena! Serena!” Tessa cried out as her body jerked once again, her mind dizzy as she could feel herself want to climax once more. Tessa had never had anyone make her feel this way, this new world Serena had opened to her had made her feel foolish, she had been embarrassed by the noises Serena had made her scream, had been ashamed by the way Serena had made her shake with the prettiness of her mouth, but she had loved it and had wanted more.
Serena sighed against the wetness of Tessa’s skin once she had tasted her nectar. The Gray woman finally let go of Serena’s hair, and while she had attempted to catch her breath, Serena looked at her. “Kiss me,” Tessa had begged and so Serena did.
Hungry, Tessa had pressed her hands against the curve of Serena’s shoulders before she encouraged her to roll over, to have Serena under her had been a fleeting idea Tessa previously used to have, whenever the imagery of the nakedness of Serena’s body would flash in Tessa’s head, the brunette woman would silently tell her how silly she was, expecting the unexpected.
If someone had told Tessa in the past, that she’d be making love to Serena Venrosa, she’d laugh at them.
Serena had been quick to undress herself beneath Tessa, and once Tessa’s eyes fell on the naked skin of Serena, she had hesitated, she was art, the very definition of nakedness beauty. Eager, Tessa kissed Serena again, her hand above Serena’s heat fore she used four of her fingers to rub her clit, satisfied with the way Serena gently arched her back. “Right there,” Serena had moaned with her eyes shut as she could feel two digits of Tessa’s enter her body, immediately, she had clenched around as Tessa busied herself on sucking her breast.
She was so sweet, Tessa had thought, just the mere taste of her skin was enough to drive Tessa foolish and anticipate the taste between her legs, so she had tried, and once Serena had felt Tessa’s fingers leave her body, she had opened her eyes and watched the Gray woman suck on her fingers. “Serena,” Tessa had moaned. “Tell me.” She had begged. “Tell me how to make you feel good.”
Immediately, Serena helped Tessa sink her lips between her thighs, at first, she had been so soft with the way she had tasted Serena, as if she had been introduced to swim for the first time---Tessa had made sure to steady her focus on Serena, to kiss her in all the ways she had instructed to, and she was a quick learner, a fast one, so once Serena had become silent, that was when Tessa had known to continue in the heavy rhythm she had picked up on.
She had one hand clasped with Serena’s as she had taken her in, her tongue deep inside of her cunt as she fucked her with it. Tessa had then moaned, she had wondered if Will had tasted her like this, had made her feel so weak and fragile under his touch like she had done right now, she had wondered if he had fucked her, had made her orgasm the way Tessa had aimed for.
Tessa was unsure if this feeling was of possession, to have Serena to herself, to have Serena’s legs clamp at the sides of her head as she locked her in.
Tessa had then slipped her hand away from Serena’s before she had spread her cunt wider, there was a sharp shriek Serena had let out the moment she had felt Tessa’s tongue circle over her clit. “Tessa you’re so---” Serena had whimpered fore she had climaxed against Tessa’s mouth---at first Tessa had been stunned by the taste, by the hot feeling of Serena’s cum against her skin and lips, but she had adapted to the sweet taste, and used her mouth to take in the rest of her nectar.
Tessa had then rested her face against Serena’s skin. “I want more,” Tessa begged and slowly, Serena had sat up.
“I can show you more,” Serena said as Tessa looked up at her, her green eyes bright and curious. Quietly, Serena had ordered Tessa to come close to her, and obedient, she did, they kissed once more, and smoothly, Serena switched her position with Tessa, one thigh between Tessa’s leg as she gently pressed her against her bed.
Confident, Tessa had looked up at Serena, with awe she had taken in Serena’s beauty, luminous like a Goddess of the Moon, their chests were then pressed against each other, as they had taken in each other again, mixing their sweetness and hunger while Serena moved the puffiness of her cunt against Tessa’s, surprised, the girl had whined.
Her fingers dug into the smoothness of Serena’s skin as she had felt the darker haired girl rub herself against her. “Serena,” Tessa desperately called, clueless to how many times she had called her name, Serena’s face fell against the crook of Tessa’s neck as her pace commenced to increase, fingers dug into the sheets of the bed as she swirled her clit against Tessa’s. Serena continued to bounce in a smooth but fast rhythm that had Tessa crave for more.
“Be a good girl for me,” Serena had whispered, the mere words enough to send Tessa into a delirious state, Tessa hugged her tighter as she had then helped herself rock her body with Serena’s. Another climax peaking as the two women humped each other with all their might, both their moans rich and sweet as they drowned in each other’s desire.
“Right there!” Tessa had cried out as she felt herself release, but Serena hadn’t stopped, her stubbornness sending Tessa into a crazed circumstance, she had jerked at every movement of Serena who chased her own high, her pretty pink lips pressing against Tessa’s skin as she teasingly but softly nibbled on Tessa’s skin.
Her hip movements slowly became steady and Tessa had understood that Serena’s body had spiked up with fierce fire she orgasmed with. Tired, Tessa dropped her shoulders, tense she had watched how Serena rolled off her body and laid beside her, the two of them had stared up at the ceiling as they caught their breath, surprised how their night had turned out.

Serena had found herself to be alone when morning arrived, today had been the day Will and Jem went to go catch one of the Dark Sisters, and to make Tessa’s day, Serena had readied herself to join the others. When she arrived in the Drawing Room, everyone besides Will had been in there.
Though as much as they had been surprised to see Serena join them, they couldn’t help but stare at the condition Davidson had been in. Bruises and cuts everywhere, if Serena hadn’t been as anti-social through these past couple of days, they would’ve thought it was her that did this to him.
Tessa and Serena had glanced at each other, even if the situation they had currently been in had been vital, the shy look that fluttered in her cheeks and eyes had made Serena softly smile. Tessa had felt more confident than usual, everyone had noticed it when she entered the room with her head up, before Serena had come, Jessamine who had currently avoided Serena’s look had commented on it.
Though, Davidson had stolen the shine. “What happened to you?” Jessamine frowned, she had look disturbed that Davidson had the thought to come in the Drawing Room with how he had looked.
“Fight at a bar,” Davidson smiled.
“Shouldn’t Serena heal you?” Tessa suggested and immediately, Serena scowled.
“He can be stuck with all those bruises for all I care,” Serena frowned.
“What happened between the two of you?” Nate questioned.
With a sigh, Jessamine dismissively glanced at Serena. “It appears she has a problem with everyone in the Institute.”
“Not everyone,” Jem smiled which had caused Serena to kindly scrunch her nose at him. “If I’m correct…” he comedically considered.
Compared to his Parabatai, Will. Jem had been a pleasure to be around. “Of course,” Serena winked.
“How is the Institutes in Venus?” Jem had then questioned and suddenly everyone had turned to look at either Serena or Davidson. “I didn’t know another realm could have Shadowhunters. Though, there is Edom, but that place is no longer ours.”
Serena frowned; she had remembered hearing about Edom before, but not in the Mortal Realm. “Perhaps some Venusians procreated with other Shadowhunters from the Mortal Realm and moved there.”
“And forgotten?” Jem pushed; his voice filled with a confused note. Serena had taken it in, a series of things being forgotten apparently occurred a lot in Venus. “How about a Venusian Spirit? Being with a Shadowhunter and them creating off-springs.”
Serena slightly clicked her tongue. “It’s impossible for a child to be both Shadowhunter and Venusian Spirit, but I see where you’re coming from,” Serena shared as she gently smiled at the white-haired boy, Nate had caught the look on her face. “Though the two races aren’t necessarily known for coming together anyways,” she muttered.
Though, with a knowing look in his eyes, Jem gently raised both of his eyebrows. “You never know,” he said as if he had known what he had been talking about.
Serena pressed her lips together. “Sure.” She responded tightly. She had barely touched her food as she got back to her feet. “It was nice being around everyone this morning but----”
“You’re not going to say bye to the men before they leave?” Tessa inquired, with a hopeful look on her face.
“Davidson is leaving as well?” Serena questioned and Jem nodded his head.
“With your powers you can hold down the Institute,” Davidson said and confused, Serena pulled her hands together.
“Well bye,” she said as she turned to look at Jem, she had barely glanced at Davidson fore she exited the Drawing Room, aware that Tessa had chased after her.
Tessa had called Serena’s name before she had caught up with her, and briefly, Serena had shared a look with the woman. “What did Will do?” Tessa questioned and gently, Serena groaned in her throat, how stupid she had been to think Tessa would drop it.
Sourly, Serena smiled. “He was just being his usual self,” Serena shortly explained as she directed herself back to her room.
“I understand,” Tessa flatly responded.
With a relieved smile, Serena turned to look at Tessa before she thanked her. “Are you going to follow me back to my room?” Serena had questioned, had quickly caught Tessa’s face to see if she had wanted a follow on their shared night before.
“For a bit,” Tessa muttered, she awkwardly pulled her arms behind her back as she could feel heat rush towards her cheeks.
“Cute,” Serena noted. “For another round.”
Tessa had blinked, and spoken without thinking. “I’d love to.”
The two had entered Serena’s bedroom, it had appeared warmer than usual. “Though, today is an important day, I need to be with Nate,” Tessa had mumbled. “I need to say goodbye to the boys, you never know what’s going to happen.”
Thus, her rambling began.
Serena had then perked her right eyebrow as she had sat down. “You’re correct,” Serena agreed and before she had left, Tessa pushed herself to kiss Serena. Serena who was surprised that Tessa had initiated it first, had shared the kiss before she watched Tessa leave.
 ♡⊹˚₊ ❦ ❀ ₊˚⊹♡
Serena had wondered what had taken Tessa so long, but the moment her ears picked up on loud noises, Serena quickly jumped to her feet and ran to where it had come from.
Every step she had taken, the louder and more aggressive the noises had developed, and with how anxious Serena had become, the faster she had run the more she could not feel her feet touch the ground.
When Serena had made it to where the noise had come from, she had come to see that Agatha was hurt. “No,” Serena breathed out. “This cannot be happening again,” she had shuddered before her eyes had moved to where the attacker had come from.
“Sophie! Tessa! Take Agatha away!” Serena commanded and immediately, the two women had gotten to their feet to help Agatha.
Scared, Tessa’s frightened eyes turned to look at Serena. “Sh---she’s silent!”
“Go!” Serena had reminded her as she closed the Institute doors with her magic. “Take her somewhere safe---” though before Serena could finish her sentence, a hot lasso whipped and wrapped around her neck, with a gasp, Tessa had almost dropped Agatha.
“Serena!” Tessa cried out in fear.
With a gasp, Serena’s hands wrapped around the tightening grip. “Go!” She cried out, and unsure, Tessa had trembled on her feet before she helped Sophie pull Agatha away.
Stern, Serena looked to where the long lasso had come from, and out of the shadows had walked out a figure with machine-like automatons behind them. They had worn the same black cloak Serena had saw previous Evori wear.
This must’ve been the automatons she had heard the others speak about before. “Reveal yourself!” Serena had commanded but they lacked a response to expose their true identity, thus, with her magic, Serena pulled the Lasso off herself, relieved to breath in air, she gently touched her throat, eyes steady on the golden creatures that had robotically made way towards her.
The Evori member had whipped her weapon towards Serena again, but she had dodged it and had built up an immense power within her palms fore she directed it towards the automatons, the impact had caused them to shatter into pieces, but more seemed to come out from the shadows, having intent to capture her.
Though, Serena had not given up. She had used her left hand to attack the automatons and the other to defend herself from the Evori, but there had been a pit in her stomach, one that had reminded Serena that she was drained, and not because of her magic, it was because she had not been taking care of herself, lack of sleep, food but only focusing on drinking and sex.
Distraught, Serena had winced when the Evori member disappeared into a dark grey cloud of smoke. Confused, Serena had looked around her, most of the automatons had been gone, but she wasn’t done, she had clenched her fists ere she attempted to find the Evori member but they had been quick and appeared behind her.
Confused, Serena had suddenly felt a sharp object dig through her body, then again, and again, and again. She had gasped as she could feel her blood leak through her body, but she was a Venusian Spirit, she had thought the Evori would know that. With her magic, she had flung them away before she fell on one knee and breathed out a scream of agony.
Yet, this person had been durable, as if they had been a spider who had dropped from the ceiling, they had quickly crawled towards Serena, their knife against her throat as they crouched behind her, disgusted, Serena had felt the way they licked their tongue against the curve of her ear.
She had felt paralysed, it hadn’t been fear, was what Serena had quickly taken in. it had to be what had been laced on the knife, as if the holder was aware that stabbing her would amount to nothing, but having her bleed out would bring the outcome they’d want. Frozen, Serena felt the cold texture of the blade be pressed against her neck, had felt the weapon deeply drag against her skin causing Serena to immensely bleed out and fall against her stomach.

SUMMARY: What would become the true love story of their lives began the day Alec and Magnus met - moving day before the new semester at the New York Institute campus.

Freshman year for his sister meant that Alec was expecting a new roommate. The roommate he'd had the last two years - a fairly handsome man named Underhill - had graduated early and left Alec feeling oddly lonely despite not being very social. He supposed it helped that Underhill had been like him, but hadn't pushed for a relationship or anything. The male was a really good friend to Alec, like an older brother, so now a sophomore, Alec was hoping he could be as helpful to whomever walked in the door as his new roommate. Isabelle, darling sister that she was, kept insisting she would be his roommate, but Alec knew the odds were unlikely. The university tried to make siblings grow on their own and believed that pairing them up would hinder that. So he wasn't at all surprised when he got a call from an irritated Isabelle, which lasted until she discovered her roommate was a freshman named Clary, and Alec could hear the friendship develop instantly over the phone. He had laughed and promised he would help her unpack as soon as his own roommate arrived, and his baby sister was quick to hang up.
He went to make himself some tea, setting it down before picking up his Gibson TG-1, his favorite acoustic for the rich sound, and began fiddling with tuning it so he could work on a new video. He was tuning his guitar when there was a knock on the door. Carefully setting the instrument on the couch next to him, Alec stood and moved to open the door -
And had to catch his breath.
The man standing on the other side of the door was just a few inches shorter than him, with caramel skin, dark eyes accented by a blue glittery eyeshadow, hair done in a mohawk while a black and silver messenger bag hung across his body. It was beautiful and intriguing and Alec was sure his heart had stopped until the man spoke.
“Hello. I'm sorry if I interrupted anything.” the male finally greeted, having been momentarily stunned himself at the contrast of dark hair, blue eyes and pale skin.
Alec snapped from his reverie at the sound, and the music major wanted to faint because no voice should sound that damn good. “Not at all. You didn't have to knock, though. I thought the admin office still gave out keys?” He replied inquisitively, stepping aside to let the other inside.
“Yeah, well, my last uni was, uhm...active. A lot. Or at least my loftmates were.” The roommate said as he set his bag down behind the couch, turning to look at Alec and offer his hand. “I'm Magnus, by the way. Transferred in from PCA in France.”
“France?” Alec asked before a faint blush colored his cheeks and he shook Magnus’ hand. “Oh, uh, I'm Alec.”
“Oui.” Magnus said with a grin. “I was there to get an adventure. When I finished most of my courses, I decided to come back to the States.” he explained. “The dorms here are quite large.”
“Large and soundproof.” ALec agreed. “Unless the students in this hall are just not getting any.” He crossed his arms a little and laughed with Magnus, looking around. “Uh, do you want a quick tour?”
“Sure,” Dark eyes returned to Alec from where he’d been looking at the guitar propped on the couch. He followed Alec around the couch and to the kitchen area.
“So the kitchen we have to keep stocked. My sister and I split our tips from work and keep each other fed, but our father sends money once a month out of some obligation his friends have guilted him into. Our mom sends care packages, so if there’s something you’d like, I’m sure she wouldn’t mind adding it.” he shrugged, pointing to their right as they faced the living area. “Laundry room and guest bathroom are that way, our rooms are on the other side.” He explained, leading the way. “Both of us have our own bathrooms, walk in closets, and the office area is the one at the end of the hall.” he pointed at the doors across from each other and then the one at the end of the hall as he spoke.
“The university pays to furnish all this?” Magnus inquired, sounding impressed.
“Most of it. If you decide to get your own furniture, you can have campus officials pull out the originals. It’s what I did.” Alec answered, smiling. “Do you need help with your stuff?”
Magnus gave a smile and nodded as he went to set his bag in the bed in his room. “That would be great, Alec. Thank you.”
