favorite kind of bird in magic?? that you admire??

Hmmm. That's a tough question. Here's a list in no particular order!

Birds of Paradise — it looks like a heron :3

Gilded Goose — it's in my first arena deck and I have the top 8 flavored one. also, shiny!

Balmor, Battlemage Captain — I made a wizards deck on arena and Balmor's really fun

Yorion, Sky Nomad — very cool borderless art

The Goose Mother — you get more bird per bird! that's what I call efficiency :3

Shabraz, the Skyshark — blahaj with wings!

Owlbear — it's more bear than owl, but it was in my first ever deck so I like it :3

Ledger Shredder — birdman is here to nibble your taxes! I think that's silly

Porcuparrot — it looks so startled and confused

Roc Egg — is egg and eggs are funny

Thieving Magpie — magpies are cool and the flavor text compares it to urza

Slickshot Show-Off — he's a cowboy bird! with throwing knives!

Rukh Egg — is egg and I think it's funny how they goofed up the wording in the first printing

Storm Crow — Storm Crow

Chicken Troupe — the chickens be snazzin n jazzin!

Silumgar Scavenger — I like vultures and Sylumgar won me some limited games

Welkin Tern — I went to a puffin research base with a bunch of terns once and I really like them. these ones have built-in hats!

Moon Heron — herons are cool and this one glows!

Rainbow Crow — very cool art

Squirrel Dealer — I think it's very funny. not quite sure why it's a bird tho

I didn't mention most of the ones that are just real bird species but on magic cards cause there's a lot.

this card is soooo pretty I love it so much

For those who don't know, a lich is a creature (often human) who locked his soul in a phylactery to achieve immortality. If the phylactery is broken, she dies. In the artwork we can see a person who performed the necessary ritual, killing someone, in order to become one.

This is a great card because this is the perfect incarnation of the mechanics of the color black in magic: the power at all costs, taking the risk of losing a lot to gain even more, the importance of sacrifice...

And there are so many cool combos to do with this card. [Queza, Augur of Agonies] or [Shabraz, the Skyshark] are good examples (but Sheoldred is the best tho) I could write a book about this card the design is so perfect

I gotta be able to do things on other people’s turns or I zone out, it’s the ADHD talking hahaha. But usually I do this in the form of abilities rather than instants. I also enjoy tribal decks, and in general I love weird/unique card interactions. 

My two main EDH decks are Olivia Voldaren and partner commanders Brallin, Skyshark Rider/Shabraz the Skyshark. 

Brallin/Shabraz is mostly a lot of cycling and draw/discard and my favourite thing about it is the ability to draw a bunch of cards to fish for solutions when I’m faced with a problem.

Olivia to nobody’s surprise is vampire tribal (as you can imagine I am LIVING for the new set) and also has a huge focus on stealing people’s cards which I think is super fun because it’s sort of like you’re playing a different deck every time! Her ability to add the Vampire type to other cards is super interesting, both to do to your opponents and sometimes to do to your own cards to help them gain the benefits of vampire tribal. Doing so also deals 1 damage so it’s a great way to just... kill stuff? Her ability is like 3 abilities in one, it’s dope and it’s also just such a flavourful card, I’m obsessed with her.

I also like anything that encourages... politics? Like our play group is always in good fun, so it’s a good time to like, make alliances with each other and make deals and such.

I'm a relatively new follower! What decks you usually play?

Hello!!! Thank you for following! :D

I mostly play EDH and I have two main decks: Olivia Voldaren (vampire tribal, focus on stealing cards) and a partner deck with Brallin, Skyshark Rider and Shabraz, the Skyshark (draw/discard/cycle/wheels)

I like decks where you can play things on both your turn and other players' turns, because I want to be constantly engaged with the game. Olivia is fun for that reason, because a Rakdos vampire tribal deck doesn't seem like it has many Instant options, but her abilities can be activated any time!

After seeing the Commander Legends spoilers I'm thinking of making a deck for Halana/Alena (we love a lesbian werewolf hunter couple in this house) or Zara, Renegade Recruiter (we also love an Izzet deck in this house, red/blue is the ultimate ADHD colour combo)

Someday I will make a Jhoira deck too as a tribute to the deck that made me fall in love with MTG (the Jhoria vs. Lovisa 60 card duel decks)
