Gabby Dawson x Kelly Severide

Set post 2 x 11 where the initial scene takes place.

Quick oneshot. Possibility for a part 2 if I get the motivation.

“You enjoying the warmup candidate?”

“Bring it Severide.”

“I think you mean instructor Severide.”

Gabby rolled her eyes at his cockiness and watched him calling over his group.

Jones gave Kelly a once-over and turned to Dawson,

“That’s Lieutenant Severide?” she questioned.

“Huh, lemme guess, he’s uglier than you imagined?” she replied sarcastically.

Gabby watched and Jones’ watched her boyfriend walk away, she bit her tongue as to not say anything as it would blow their cover. Relationships in the CFD were frowned upon all the time, but with Dawson being a candidate and Kelly her instructor it was definitely not allowed.

They drove separate cars to the academy and then met up at his apartment for dinner. Shay was gone out on a date so it was just the two of them.

“You’re quiet,” Kelly commented as Gabby took a bite of her salad.

“I’m admiring the view,”

He grinned at her, “sorry about earlier I didn’t mean to seem so cocky-“

She sighed, “You definitely caught Jones’ attention. I had to bite my tongue from telling her to stop checking out what’s mine.”

He laughed into his mouthful of food,

“I’m glad you didn’t, you would have blown our cover.”

“It wasn’t easy.”

“How about I make it up to you?” He said suggestively.

“What did you have in mind?”

Their food forgotten the pair made their way into his bedroom, Kelly scooping her up on the way there and carrying her over the threshold. He pinned her down on the bed and started kissing down her neck, sliding her shirt off with one hand and continuing down the rest of her body.

The next morning they showered together and headed out for the academy. She headed out 5 minutes later than he did so they wouldn’t arrive at the same time.

When he arrived he pulled out his phone to see she had texted him while he was driving.

“I really learned a lot last night, thanks Instructor Severide ;)”

He smiled and pushed his phone back into his pocket shaking his head as he entered the building for another day of training.

First Post: “Sevsons - Ad Infinitum” Review

This is my first Post on Tumblr, so i start with something, that is a big part of my life: Listen to Music. I also making my own music, but i get to that point later. Let’s start the Review! Sevsons is a Progressive Metal Band from Sydney, Australia. Maybe some of you guys know this Band from “Christian Doyle”, a Youtuber, who reviews many Albums from different Genres. He also is the Guitarist from “Sevsons”. If you want to check him out, here is the Link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxm54wBmTzXja_UBQr9eT7g Band Link: https://www.facebook.com/sevsonsofficial/ “Ad Infinitum” is their debut Album and starts with the Song “Nebulous”. In these first seven Minutes, you can hear the direction of the whole Album(except a few surprises later) and their influences like Karnivool, TesseracT, Steven Wilson etc. Its a cool mix with much Atmosphere, Aggressive Riffs and even calm Acoustic parts. On my first listen, the material of over 45 Minutes vanished very quickly. For the most part, that's a big plus, because you want to hear the album again. As a Fan of Cristian Doyle’s Reviews, i have to be honest. The Instrumental Part of Ad Infinitum is really great, good mixing ect. But for me, a Band has to be a “Well Working Machine”, that means, every Member has to show, what they got. My Main Problem here is Rhys Weeks, the Vocalist of Sevsons. I don’t know, if he makes the scream parts too, but he should just scream the hell out of his lungs, instead of clean singing. He is not that bad by any means, but his Voice range is very flat and didn't fit to the rest of the songs. It kinda ruins it(not in every song!) and that's the problem for me. Singing should fit into the instrumental part. Overall, im looking forward for more projects in the future, because they have talent! As a “Debut Album” it's really not bad and every progressive fan should take a listen! 6.5 out of 10
