Third Person POV
(Y/n) had always liked the woods, especially when the skies turned heavy with rain. Something about the quiet rustle of leaves, the distant call of birds, and the cool breeze always made her feel at peace. But today, the dark clouds above seemed more threatening than soothing. The air was thick with the promise of a storm, and the usually familiar path through the woods felt foreign, almost foreboding.
As she hurried along, clutching her cloak tighter around her, she noticed the wind picking up. The first droplets of rain splattered against her skin. She quickened her pace, her heart racing not just from the fear of the incoming storm but something else—a nagging feeling in the pit of her stomach, as though she were being watched.
Suddenly, a branch snapped behind her. She froze.
The rain came down harder, her surroundings quickly being swallowed by the downpour. She spun on her heels, her breath catching in her throat as her eyes scanned the misty forest.
Nothing.
Just the trees and the rain.
With a shaky exhale, she turned to continue her path back to town, but in her haste, she collided into something solid. She stumbled back, her breath hitching as she looked up.
There he was.
The man from the woods.
His towering figure loomed over her, water dripping from his tousled dark hair. His eyes—those notorious red eyes that had haunted the stories whispered around town—pierced through her, sending a chill down her spine. He didn’t speak, and yet his presence screamed of danger, of something ancient and wild.
Scoups.
The name everyone feared. The man—the creature—who lived in the woods, shrouded in mystery. Most people avoided these parts in the hopes of never crossing paths with him, but now, here he was, mere inches from (Y/n).
Her legs felt like they might give way beneath her as she stared up at him. Fear clawed at her throat, yet she couldn’t look away. His features were sharp, rugged—beautiful, in a terrifying way. And though his face was cold, there was something else in his expression. Something she couldn’t quite place.
And then, before she could gather her wits to run or speak, he moved closer, his hand reaching toward her face, his fingers just barely brushing her cheek. The touch was surprisingly gentle, but his eyes remained fixed on hers, burning with an intensity that made her shiver.
“I’ve found you,” he whispered, his voice low and rough, as if it had been trapped inside him for far too long.
Her heart pounded in her chest.
“What do you mean?” (Y/n) stammered, her voice barely a whisper as the rain fell harder around them.
His lips curled into the faintest of smiles, though it held no warmth. “You’re mine.”
(Y/n)’s breath caught. “I-I don’t understand,” she whispered, her voice barely audible over the storm.
“I’ve waited so long,” Scoups said, his voice almost a growl now, but his eyes softened just a little. “And now that I’ve found you… I’m never letting you go.”
(Y/n)’s heart raced in her chest, pounding so loudly she could barely hear the rain or the wind anymore. Fear surged through her veins as Scoups’ words echoed in her mind: “You’re mine.”
She couldn’t think—couldn’t breathe. Her instincts screamed at her to run, to get away from him, this creature who wasn’t fully human, whose presence made the hair on her arms stand on end. Stories of his monstrous nature, of his cruelty, flashed through her mind. Every ounce of her wanted to scream, but the terror strangled her voice.
Without another thought, (Y/n) turned on her heel and bolted. She didn’t know where she was running to—only that she needed to get as far from him as possible.
Her feet pounded against the muddy forest floor, the rain lashing against her face, blurring her vision. The wind whipped at her cloak as she pushed through the dense trees. She didn’t dare look back, but she could feel him. Every step she took, it felt as though he was there, just behind her, his presence as heavy as the storm clouds above.
How was he always so close?
Her chest burned from exertion, her legs growing weak with each step. Yet, no matter how fast she ran or which direction she turned, it was as though the woods were conspiring against her. Every path seemed to lead her back toward him, his red eyes glowing faintly in the darkness.
Panic seized her heart. She was trapped.
She stumbled, her foot catching on an exposed root, and she went crashing to the ground. Her palms stung as they scraped against the wet earth, but she scrambled to her feet. Her body screamed for rest, but her mind knew she couldn’t stop. Not here. Not now. She had to keep running, but the world was spinning, her vision blurring as the storm worsened.
And then, as if the rain itself had swallowed her will to keep fighting, she felt her body give out. Her legs buckled beneath her, and everything went black.
~ Time Skip ~
Scoups stood by the window, his eyes locked on the unconscious figure sprawled on his bed. The rain still poured outside, drumming against the roof in a steady, relentless rhythm. But his mind was focused entirely on her—on the delicate girl who had collapsed in his arms, drenched and trembling.
(Y/n).
She looked fragile lying there, her face pale from exhaustion, her chest rising and falling in slow, shallow breaths. His sharp eyes traced the scratches and bruises marring her skin—marks she had earned trying to escape him. The guilt stirred in him, but it was nothing compared to the primal need coursing through his veins.
His mate. After years of searching, after endless nights of running through the woods, driven by the emptiness in his chest, he had finally found her.
She was beautiful, even now—especially now. The way the firelight danced across her face made his breath catch. Her wet hair clung to her skin, and her clothes, still damp from the storm, stuck to her body in a way that made it impossible for him to look away.
His instincts roared within him. The wolf inside him stirred, restless, urging him to claim what was his, to mark her and make sure no one could ever take her from him. The need to protect her, to possess her, surged with every breath. Her scent—a soft, intoxicating sweetness that seemed to wrap around his very soul—drove him mad.
His claws flexed at his sides as he fought against the surge of desire that threatened to consume him. His entire body ached for her, pulsed with a hunger he hadn’t felt in years. He wanted to pull her into his arms, bury his face in her neck, and let the world fade away. He wanted to feel her skin against his, to know that she was his, that she would never leave him.
But he couldn’t.
Not like this.
Scoups’ jaw tightened as he forced himself to take a step back from the bed, putting distance between them. He clenched his fists, trying to ground himself, trying to remember who he was—what he was. She didn’t know yet. She didn’t understand the bond, the connection that had been forged the moment they met.
She didn’t know how deeply tied to him she already was.
His eyes flickered to her scars, fresh and raw from her fall in the woods. He hadn’t meant to frighten her so badly, but the way she had looked at him—like he was some kind of monster—it had triggered something primal in him. His wolf had wanted to chase, to show her that no matter how fast she ran, he would always find her.
But seeing her now, so fragile and vulnerable, he felt a pang of guilt. She didn’t deserve this. He was a predator, a beast, and she… she was so delicate, like a flower he was afraid to crush with just a touch.
Still, even with the guilt gnawing at the edges of his conscience, he couldn’t deny the overwhelming pull he felt toward her. She was his mate. He had waited so long for this—for her. And now that she was here, the thought of letting her go, of letting anyone or anything take her from him, was unbearable.
I could lose control, he thought darkly, his eyes narrowing as he watched her. The wolf inside him was howling for release, clawing at his restraint. He could feel his pulse quicken, the veins in his neck tightening as he struggled to maintain his composure. Each second he inhaled her scent, his grip on his humanity slipped further.
She stirred slightly, her head moving against the pillow, and his heart raced. He took a sharp breath, watching her with rapt attention. Even unconscious, she had a power over him that no one else ever had. The firelight reflected off the delicate curve of her jaw, the soft rise and fall of her chest—she was beautiful, maddeningly so.
His hand twitched, aching to reach out, to trace his fingers over her skin, to claim what was his by right. But he held back, forcing himself to turn away, to focus on the storm outside instead of the storm brewing inside him.
He couldn’t lose control. Not yet.
She would wake soon, and when she did, she would be terrified again. He knew she didn’t understand the bond, didn’t feel the same pull he did—not yet, at least. She was human. Fragile. He needed to be patient, to give her time to come to terms with what they were.
But each second, each minute that passed with her lying there, vulnerable and unaware, made it harder and harder to hold back the beast within him.
She’s mine, he reminded himself, the thought both a comfort and a curse. He would protect her, care for her, but he couldn’t deny that his desire ran deeper than simple protection.
His wolf wanted more.
It wanted her—body, soul, everything.
He closed his eyes, breathing deeply, trying to silence the growl building in his throat. He would wait. He would hold back. For her sake. For now.
But the moment she looked into his eyes again, the moment she finally understood that she belonged to him, there would be no holding back.
And no force on earth would keep him from claiming what was his.
When (Y/n) woke, the first thing she noticed was warmth.
Not the suffocating heat of the storm, but a gentle, comforting warmth, like being wrapped in a blanket near a fire. She stirred slightly, feeling something soft beneath her. She blinked, her vision hazy, as the memories of the rain, the chase, and—him—came rushing back.
Her eyes fluttered open, and she was greeted by the sight of a dimly lit room. The air smelled faintly of pine, woodsmoke, and something earthy. She was lying on a large, well-worn bed, covered in thick furs. The room around her was rustic—wooden walls lined with books and various trinkets that looked handmade. A fire crackled softly in a hearth across the room, casting a flickering glow on the walls.
Her pulse quickened as she tried to sit up, but her body felt heavy, exhausted from her ordeal. As she shifted, she realized she wasn’t alone.
He was there.
Seungcheol—Scoups—stood near the window, his back to her as he stared out into the dark woods beyond. His broad shoulders were tense, as though he was deep in thought, yet his aura filled the entire room with an intensity that made her feel small.
For a moment, she wondered if she should pretend to still be unconscious. But before she could even consider it, he turned, his piercing red eyes locking onto hers.
“You’re awake,” he said, his voice low, a strange mix of relief and something darker.
(Y/n) recoiled slightly, her heart pounding once more. “Where… where am I?” she managed to ask, her voice small and shaky.
“My home,” he replied simply, moving closer with a fluid grace that reminded her all too much of a predator. “You collapsed in the woods. I brought you here.”
She shifted uncomfortably beneath his gaze. “Why?” she whispered, still half-expecting him to lunge at her, to take whatever it was he wanted.
Scoups’ eyes softened, though only just. “Because,” he said slowly, as though weighing each word, “you’re my mate.”
The word sent a shiver down her spine. She had heard of such things in stories—creatures who bound themselves to another, a connection deeper than human understanding. But she never imagined it would happen to her, let alone with someone like him.
“I’m not… I’m not your mate,” (Y/n) stammered, pushing herself back against the headboard, her hands trembling. “I don’t even know you.”
A shadow passed over Scoups’ face, his expression hardening. “You will,” he said, his voice firm but not unkind. “Whether you realize it yet or not, you’re mine. You belong to me.”
(Y/n) shook her head, fear rising again. “I don’t belong to anyone.”
His jaw tightened, but he didn’t argue. Instead, he stepped back, giving her space, though his eyes never left hers. “Rest,” he said. “You’re safe here. No one will harm you while you’re under my protection.”
But the way he said it made her realize one terrifying truth: the greatest danger in these woods might just be him.
(Y/n) stirred as the cold seeped into her bones, a shiver running down her spine despite the warmth of the fire nearby. Her clothes clung to her damp skin, her hair still wet from the storm. She curled into herself, trying to get warm, but it was no use. The icy chill seemed to creep deeper with every second. Her mind was groggy, her body exhausted, but slowly, the sounds around her became clearer—the crackle of the fire, the low howl of the storm outside.
Her pulse quickened as she tried to assess her situation. She was still in her clothes, which brought a strange sense of relief. He hadn’t… She swallowed, trying to calm her racing thoughts. Despite the fear gnawing at her, it didn’t seem like he had done anything to harm her while she was unconscious.
But the cold was unbearable, and her soaked clothes made it worse. She shivered again, her teeth nearly chattering as she pulled the blankets tighter around her.
That’s when she heard him.
Scoups moved before she could even register it, his form a blur of shadow in the corner of the room. His eyes, sharp and glowing red in the dim light, were immediately on her, taking in her discomfort. For a moment, she held her breath, too terrified to speak or move.
Without a word, he turned and left the room. The door closed softly behind him, leaving her in an eerie silence.
(Y/n) let out a shaky breath, her body trembling not only from the cold but from the tension that hung in the air. The sound of the storm outside only seemed to amplify her unease, but before she could try to gather her thoughts, the door creaked open again. Scoups returned, holding a bundle of clothes in his hands. His movements were fluid, almost too graceful, like a predator stalking its prey.
He crossed the room with a measured, deliberate pace, stopping in front of her. His face was unreadable, that same icy stare locked on her, but there was something softer about his demeanor now—something almost… concerned? She couldn’t tell, but the intensity of his presence still made her heart race.
“Get up,” he said, his voice deep and commanding.
(Y/n) froze, her fingers clenching the blankets around her as she met his gaze. She hesitated, unsure of what he wanted, unsure if she should trust him. The fear of what he could do—what he was—kept her rooted in place.
But there was no defying him. Not with those eyes, not with the raw power that radiated from him.
Still, her body screamed at her to move. To do as he said. Her fear was overwhelming, and in the silence that followed, she knew that resisting would be futile.
Slowly, she pushed herself up from the bed, her legs trembling as she stood. She could feel his gaze on her, watching her every movement, and it made her skin crawl with unease. The distance between them felt like a fragile thread, one that could snap at any moment.
He handed her the clothes—a set of soft, dry garments, likely his own, judging by their size. She stared at them, confused for a moment, unsure of why he was giving them to her.
“Your clothes are wet,” Scoups said simply, his voice still firm but lacking the harshness she had expected. “Take a shower. Change into these.”
She blinked, looking from the clothes to him, her mind racing. She didn’t want to make a mistake, didn’t want to provoke him, but this… was unexpected. It felt oddly kind, though his cold demeanor made it hard to decipher his true intentions.
Still, she nodded, too afraid to refuse. Without another word, he turned and led her down a narrow hallway. The walls were lined with rustic wood, and she noticed how quiet the house was despite the storm raging outside. He stopped in front of a door and pushed it open, revealing a small but cozy bathroom. Steam already lingered in the air, as though he had prepared it for her.
“Go,” he said, his tone flat, though his gaze lingered on her for just a moment longer than she was comfortable with. “Take your time.”
(Y/n) hesitated at the threshold of the bathroom, feeling the warmth of the room on her skin. She glanced up at him, her heart thudding in her chest. His expression was unreadable, but there was something in his eyes—something she couldn’t quite place. A strange softness hidden beneath the cold exterior.
She stepped inside, clutching the clothes close to her chest, and shut the door behind her, leaning against it for a moment. Her breath came out in shaky gasps as she tried to calm her nerves. The warm air from the shower beckoned her, and she could feel the tension begin to melt away as the thought of warmth enveloped her.
Turning toward the shower, she carefully peeled off her soaked clothes, shivering as the cold air hit her skin. She stepped under the hot spray, feeling the water wash over her, the warmth sinking deep into her bones. The tension in her muscles began to ease, though her mind was still racing, still haunted by the reality of where she was—and who was just outside.
But as the water cascaded over her, she allowed herself a moment to breathe. Just a moment to process everything.
Who was this man—this monster—that terrified her, yet showed her a kind of care she never expected? And why did his touch, his presence, evoke such confusing feelings in her?
I don’t belong here… she thought, but even as she said it, she couldn’t shake the strange pull that lingered in the air between them.
She knew she had to be careful. She couldn’t let herself be swayed by his momentary kindness. He was still dangerous, still the creature from the stories. But the more she thought about it, the more she realized… there was something else about him, something deeper.
Something that scared her more than the monster he was.
Scoups paced by the fire, his hands flexing and curling into fists as he waited for her to emerge. His mind raced, battling the primal instincts that surged within him. The wolf inside him had been restless for hours, growling and pacing within the confines of his mind, and the sound of the shower running only made it worse. The knowledge that she was just beyond the door—his mate, naked and vulnerable, surrounded by his scent—was driving him mad.
He closed his eyes, trying to focus on something else, anything else, but the pull was relentless. His beast stirred, clawing at his control, demanding more than just her presence. It wanted her body, her blood, her soul. It wanted to claim her in every possible way. But Scoups was stronger than that—he had to be.
When the sound of the water finally stopped, he held his breath, listening as she moved about in the bathroom. The seconds felt like hours, and his heart thudded in his chest as he waited. When the door creaked open and she stepped out, he turned to face her, his breath catching in his throat.
She was wearing his clothes.
The oversized shirt hung loosely on her small frame, the sleeves falling past her wrists, and the trousers bunched at her ankles. Yet despite how large the clothes were on her, she looked… perfect. His scent clung to her now, and that alone was enough to make his blood boil with possessiveness. The sight of her, wrapped in his scent, in his clothes, awakened something deep within him.
Mine.
His inner beast roared in approval, but it wasn’t enough. It would never be enough until his mark was permanently branded on her shoulder, until her skin bore the evidence of their bond. His wolf wanted to taste her blood, to feel her body beneath his, writhing in submission. The hunger burned deep, almost unbearable, and for a moment, he wondered if he could hold himself back much longer.
But he had to.
He had spent so long without her—waiting, searching—that he couldn’t risk scaring her away. Not when she was so close, not when she was finally within his grasp.
He clenched his jaw, trying to wrestle his emotions into submission, but the moment their eyes met, he knew it was a losing battle. She looked so small, so fragile in his clothes, her wet hair falling in soft strands around her face. Her lips were slightly parted, her eyes wide and uncertain as she stared back at him. She was scared—he could see it in the way she trembled slightly, in the way her hands clutched the fabric of the shirt.
But she didn’t run.
And that was all the permission he needed.
Before he could think, before he could stop himself, he crossed the room in a few swift strides, his heart pounding in his chest. She took a small step back, her breath catching, but she didn’t move away fully. His hand reached out instinctively, his fingers brushing against her cheek, tracing the soft curve of her skin. Her eyes widened, but she didn’t pull away, even as his thumb stroked gently across her skin.
Her warmth—her softness—sent a shiver down his spine.
“Scoups…” she whispered, her voice barely audible, filled with fear, confusion, and something else—something she likely didn’t understand yet.
He leaned in, his eyes never leaving hers as he closed the distance between them. His beast stirred, impatient, demanding more, but he forced it back, knowing he couldn’t rush this. Not yet. Instead, he focused on her, on the way her breath quickened, the way her body tensed and relaxed under his touch.
His lips found hers in a slow, deliberate kiss.
The moment their lips met, the world seemed to shift around him. The kiss was gentle, almost hesitant, but the intensity of it overwhelmed him. Her lips were soft, warm, and he could feel her tremble beneath his touch. But it wasn’t fear this time—at least, not entirely. He could feel the way her body responded, the subtle tension in her muscles, the way her breath hitched as the kiss deepened, though he kept it restrained.
It was everything he had imagined, everything he had craved for so long, but at the same time, it was far more than that. It wasn’t just about satisfying the beast inside him—it was something more primal, something more intimate. His hand moved from her cheek to the back of her neck, his fingers tangling in her damp hair as he pulled her closer.
Her scent filled his senses, and he could taste the lingering sweetness of her skin. It was intoxicating, making it harder and harder to hold back. His wolf growled in approval, wanting to take more, wanting to mark her, to make her his in every way possible. But he couldn’t—he wouldn’t. Not yet.
He pulled back, though every fiber of his being screamed at him to continue. His eyes searched hers, seeing the way she was still reeling from the kiss. Her lips were slightly swollen, her cheeks flushed, and the way she looked at him made something inside him tighten. She had never experienced anything like this before—he could tell from the way she seemed overwhelmed, unsure of how to process the emotions coursing through her.
(Y/n) stared up at him, her chest rising and falling rapidly as she struggled to catch her breath. She looked confused, frightened, but there was also something else in her eyes—a spark of something that mirrored his own desire, though she likely didn’t understand it.
Scoups’ thumb grazed her lower lip, and he couldn’t resist leaning in again, his voice low and rough as he spoke. “You’re mine,” he whispered, his breath hot against her skin. “Whether you realize it or not, you belong to me.”
She shivered at his words, her eyes wide, but he could see the conflict in them—the way she was torn between fear and something deeper. Something that made her hesitate, that made her stay in his arms instead of running away.
For now, it was enough.
But the beast inside him growled, unsatisfied. The kiss had only stoked the fire within him, and it wouldn’t be truly sated until he had her, fully and completely. Until his mark was on her skin and until she bore the symbol of their bond.
But he would wait.
For her sake, he would wait. Or at least, he would try to.
Scoups exhaled sharply as he finally forced himself to pull away from her. His breath was ragged, his heart pounding, and the beast inside him was still roaring, furious that he had denied it once again. His eyes glowed brighter than ever, their usual icy red hue flaring with intensity. It took every ounce of his willpower to step back, to regain some semblance of control over the monster that clawed within him.
But when he looked down at her, he froze.
(Y/n) stood there, her eyes wide, lips still parted from their kiss, her body trembling as if it couldn’t comprehend what had just happened. She was in a trance—bewildered, overwhelmed by the force of it all. He could see it in the way her chest heaved, the way her skin flushed, and for a moment, he wondered if he had gone too far. Had he pushed her beyond what she could handle?
Her gaze lifted to meet his, and as their eyes locked, Scoups felt a pull so strong it nearly dragged him under again. His beast growled possessively, wanting more, urging him to take her fully, to claim her now and forever. But something stopped him—the way she stared at him, fragile, vulnerable, as though she were seeing him for the first time.
And then, without warning, her legs gave out beneath her.
Scoups moved instantly, catching her before she could hit the ground. She collapsed into his arms, her body limp as if the weight of everything had become too much. His eyes widened in alarm, his previous resolve cracking as concern flooded his senses.
“What’s wrong?” he asked, his voice no longer cold, no longer distant. His heart clenched painfully as he held her close, his glowing eyes fading back into their natural deep brown, softening with worry. He knelt beside her, one hand supporting her back while the other brushed her hair from her face. The sight of her, fragile and overwhelmed, pierced through his hardened exterior in a way nothing else ever had.
For the first time in longer than he could remember, he felt… human.
Her breathing was shallow, her lips slightly parted, but she didn’t seem to be in pain—just overwhelmed. The way she had collapsed, her body giving in after everything that had happened between them, sent a surge of guilt through him. He had scared her. He had pushed too hard, too fast, and now she was paying the price for it.
“Are you hurt?” he asked again, his voice deep but gentle, unlike the icy tone he usually carried. He could hear the worry in his own words, feel the unfamiliar sensation of it tightening in his chest. He wasn’t used to feeling this way, wasn’t used to caring about anyone—but she was different. She was his mate.
And he had almost forgotten that she was human.
His hand lingered on her cheek, stroking it softly as her eyes fluttered closed. For a moment, he just held her there, his mind racing as he tried to figure out what to do. He had never been in a situation like this before—his beast had never allowed anyone close enough for it to matter. But now, with her in his arms, all the ferocity inside him softened into something protective, something far more terrifying than his usual coldness.
He could hurt her so easily, with just one wrong move. His beast could break her without a second thought, and yet here she was, collapsing from the mere intensity of their connection.
She’s too delicate… too fragile for this world.
His fingers brushed along her neck, feeling the soft pulse beneath her skin. She was still conscious, but barely, and the thought of her vulnerability sent a strange kind of fear coursing through him. It wasn’t like the fear he instilled in others—it was something else entirely. It was fear of losing her. Fear of breaking her.
Scoups’ jaw clenched as he struggled to contain the warring emotions inside him. He wanted to claim her, to take her in every sense of the word, but he knew he had to wait. He had to be careful with her. She wasn’t like him—she wasn’t a monster, she wasn’t built for the dark, primal world he lived in.
But she was his.
“Talk to me,” he whispered, his thumb grazing her lower lip as he searched her face for any sign of consciousness. “Tell me what you’re feeling. I need to know if I’ve hurt you.”
Her eyes slowly opened, though they were still heavy with exhaustion and confusion. She blinked up at him, as though trying to make sense of what had just happened. Her breath hitched when she saw the change in his expression—the softness in his features, the warmth in his eyes. He wasn’t the terrifying creature she had feared. Not in this moment.
“I-I’m not hurt…” she mumbled weakly, her voice barely above a whisper. “Just… overwhelmed.”
Scoups let out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding, relief washing over him like a wave. He shifted slightly, pulling her more securely into his arms, cradling her against his chest. Her head rested against him, and for the first time, he didn’t feel like a monster. He felt like something more—something better—because she was there, trusting him despite everything.
“I’m sorry,” he said softly, his voice low and filled with a rare sincerity. “I didn’t mean to scare you. I just…”
He trailed off, unsure of how to explain the storm of emotions raging inside him. How could he tell her that he had been waiting for her all his life? That the moment he had laid eyes on her, his entire world had shifted? That his beast, the creature he had lived with for so long, was clawing at him to claim her, to mark her, to make her his forever?
But he couldn’t say any of that. Not yet.
Instead, he gently lifted her in his arms and stood, carrying her back toward the bed. She didn’t resist, too weak and dazed to do anything but rest her head against his chest. He laid her down carefully, pulling the blankets over her before sitting on the edge of the bed, watching her closely.
“I’ll give you space,” he murmured, his voice hoarse as he stood up and backed away, his eyes never leaving hers. “But just know… you’re safe here. With me.”
He turned to leave, his heart heavy, but before he could take more than a step, her voice, small and uncertain, stopped him.
“Why?” she asked, her eyes fluttering open again. “Why are you doing this?”
Scoups froze, his back to her, his mind racing as he tried to come up with an answer. He didn’t know how to explain it—not in a way that wouldn’t scare her more. But he owed her the truth, even if it was a truth she wasn’t ready to hear.
“Because you’re mine,” he said, his voice low, filled with a possessiveness that he couldn’t fully mask. “And I don’t let go of what’s mine.”
“What if I don’t want to be yours?”
The words hit him like a thunderclap, reverberating in his mind with a force so intense, he almost couldn’t process them.
What if I don’t want to be yours?
Her voice, soft and hesitant, carried a weight that shattered whatever fragile control he had left. Scoups froze, his back still turned to her, his mind spinning. For a split second, he thought he must have misheard, that her exhaustion had made her say something she didn’t mean.
But no. She had said it.
And the instant those words sank in, something inside him snapped.
His muscles tensed, his heartbeat quickened, and the beast he had been fighting back for so long surged forward with a ferocity he hadn’t felt in years. He didn’t want to be this way—he had tried to be gentle, to hold back, to give her time—but the thought of her rejecting him after the kiss they had just shared, after the connection they had just felt… it drove him mad.
The room suddenly felt too small, too suffocating, as his beast clawed its way to the surface, breaking through the control he had so desperately tried to maintain. His eyes glowed a furious red, brighter than ever before, and his fangs grew, sharp and menacing, protruding past his lips.
“You don’t want to be mine?” he growled, his voice low and dangerous. The sound of it sent a shiver through the air, thick with a primal, animalistic rage. “You think you have a choice?”
The question wasn’t a real one. There was no choice. She had been his from the moment their paths had crossed, from the moment he had first laid eyes on her. His beast would never let her go, not now, not ever.
Scoups turned slowly, his predatory gaze locked onto her, the red glow of his eyes flickering like embers in the dark. He took a step toward her, then another, his movements slow, deliberate, like a predator stalking its prey. His muscles rippled beneath his skin, taut with tension, and his breaths came in ragged bursts as his wolf fully surfaced, taking control.
(Y/n)’s eyes widened in terror. She scrambled backward, her legs trembling as she tried to get away from him, her body reacting instinctively to the danger she sensed in him now. But she was no match for him, not in this state. The fear in her eyes only fueled his desire, only made the wolf within him more desperate to claim her, to show her that there was no escape.
She turned, bolting toward the door in a panic, but he was faster—so much faster.
In a flash, he was in front of her, blocking her path. His movements were a blur of speed and power, and before she could even register what was happening, she found herself pressed against the wall, trapped. Her breath came in frantic gasps, her heart pounding in her chest as she tried, futilely, to push him away.
“Running?” he snarled, his voice deeper, more primal now. His glowing eyes bore into hers, filled with a possessiveness that bordered on madness. “You think you can run from me? From this?”
Her body trembled under the weight of his presence, and though she struggled against him, her efforts were useless. His hand gripped her wrist, holding her in place, while his other hand pressed against the wall beside her, trapping her completely. His chest rose and fell with labored breaths, the tension between them crackling like the storm outside.
The scent of her fear filled the air, mixing with the rain-drenched scent of her skin, and it only drove him further into a frenzy. His fangs ached, his body yearned to claim her, and the wolf within him growled impatiently, demanding what was rightfully his.
“You’re mine,” he hissed, his voice barely above a whisper, but the intensity in it was unmistakable. His face was inches from hers now, his breath hot against her skin. “Whether you want it or not.”
Before she could utter another word, his fangs sank into the soft flesh of her neck.
The moment his teeth broke the surface of her skin, a surge of raw power coursed through him. Her blood—sweet, intoxicating—flooded his senses, and his grip on her tightened as he bit down harder, marking her as his. She gasped in pain, her body stiffening in his arms, but there was nothing she could do. She was his now.
Forever.
His bite was deep, primal, the mark of a mate claimed by a wolf. It wasn’t just physical—it was a bond that would tie them together for eternity, something far beyond anything she could understand. His beast reveled in it, finally sated by the act of claiming what was his. The taste of her blood on his tongue, the feel of her body trembling against him—it was everything he had needed, everything he had been denied for so long.
But as the heat of the moment began to subside, Scoups realized something was wrong.
Her body had gone limp in his arms, her head slumping against his chest as her consciousness began to fade. He had pushed too hard, too fast, and now she was slipping away. Panic surged through him as he pulled back, his glowing red eyes widening in alarm. Her skin was pale, her breath shallow, and the sight of her in this state—so fragile, so vulnerable—sent a wave of guilt crashing over him.
He had hurt her.
“Y/n…” His voice trembled, the harshness from moments ago gone, replaced by something far more desperate. He cradled her in his arms, his fangs retracting, his eyes dimming back to their natural brown as the beast retreated. He had claimed her, marked her as his, but in doing so, he had nearly destroyed her.
The guilt was overwhelming.
“Y/n…” he whispered again, his voice breaking as he gently brushed the hair from her face. “I’m sorry… I’m so sorry.”
Her eyes fluttered closed, her body limp and unresponsive in his arms. He could hear her heartbeat—faint, but steady—and it was the only thing that kept him from completely losing control again.
He carried her to the bed, laying her down gently, his hands trembling as he watched her sleep. She would heal—his mark would see to that—but the damage he had done was undeniable. She had feared him, and rightfully so.
But now, there was no going back.
She was his, bound to him by blood and soul, and nothing in this world could break that bond.
Not even her fear.
~ Time Skip ~
Years had passed, though (Y/n) had long since stopped counting the days. The life she had known before—her small town, her friends, the warm sunlight on her face as she wandered the familiar streets—had become nothing more than distant memories. Memories that felt like a different lifetime, like a dream she could no longer reach.
Now, her world was confined to the dark woods and the cabin that had become her prison.
She hadn’t seen the town in what felt like an eternity. She had never returned. After that night—after Scoups had claimed her as his mate—there had been no escape. No chance to run, no opportunity to return to the life she once knew. Not that it mattered anymore. Even if she had tried, the bond that tied her to him would have pulled her back. It wasn’t just physical—it was something deeper, something impossible to break.
Something that made her love him, despite everything.
(Y/n) sat by the window of the cabin, staring out at the rain-soaked woods as they blurred in her vision. The storm outside mirrored the constant turmoil in her heart. The cabin was quiet, save for the occasional crackling of the fire, but the silence weighed heavily on her. It had been like this for years now—a strange, suffocating stillness that seemed to wrap itself around her, as if even the forest knew she was trapped.
She should have hated him.
She had tried, at first. She had tried to cling to the anger, to the fear, to remind herself of what he had taken from her. But the bond between them—the bond that had been forged the moment his fangs pierced her skin—had twisted everything inside her. It had made it impossible to feel anything but a strange, overwhelming love for him, even when she didn’t want to.
Her heart had betrayed her.
He loved her, that much was undeniable. In his own possessive, obsessive way, he adored her. He had taken care of her, never allowing her to go hungry, never letting her feel unsafe, even though it was him she feared most. His affection for her was fierce, consuming, and the more time passed, the more she felt it suffocating her. He would hold her, whisper promises in her ear about how they were meant to be, how the moon had bound them together.
How she was his forever.
And despite every rational part of her mind screaming against it, she had grown to love him back. Not by choice, not willingly, but because the bond left her no other option. It was as if the universe itself had decided their fate, and she was powerless to resist.
(Y/n) reached up, absentmindedly tracing the mark on her neck—the mark that had sealed her fate. It had healed long ago, but the scar still remained, a reminder of the night her life had changed. Her fingers brushed against the raised skin, and she shivered, the memory of that night flooding back. She hadn’t been the same since.
The bond had changed her in more ways than one. She could feel it, even now, in the way her body responded to him, in the way her heart quickened whenever he was near. It was unnatural, twisted, but it was real.
And that was the cruelest part of it all.
She heard the familiar sound of the door creaking open behind her, followed by the heavy footsteps she had come to recognize instantly. Scoups was back. She didn’t need to turn around to know it was him—his presence was something she felt even before he entered the room. He was like the storm outside—an unstoppable force, powerful and commanding.
“Y/n.” His voice, deep and filled with a possessive tenderness, broke through the silence. “I’m home.”
She didn’t respond immediately, her eyes still fixed on the rain outside. She knew he would come to her, as he always did. He never could stay away from her for long, not with the bond pulling them together. Sure enough, a moment later, she felt his arms wrap around her from behind, pulling her against his chest. His warmth enveloped her, and despite herself, she leaned into him.
“I missed you,” he murmured, his lips brushing against her hair as he held her close. “Why do you always sit by the window when I’m gone?”
“I just like watching the rain,” she replied softly, her voice barely above a whisper. She had learned long ago that resistance was futile. No matter how much she tried to keep him at a distance, the bond always drew them back together.
He hummed in response, his hand trailing down to her waist, pulling her even closer. “You should have come with me,” he said. “The woods are beautiful after the rain.”
She tensed slightly in his arms. He often spoke about her leaving the cabin with him, walking through the woods together, living as though they were a normal couple. But she couldn’t. The thought of venturing out, of seeing the outside world again, only made her feel more trapped. It reminded her of everything she had lost.
“I like it here,” she said, the lie slipping from her lips so easily now.
Scoups let out a soft, satisfied sound, seemingly content with her answer. He turned her in his arms so that she was facing him, his piercing eyes locking onto hers. The intensity in them hadn’t faded over the years—if anything, it had grown stronger. His love for her, his need for her, had only deepened with time.
He leaned down, his lips brushing against hers in a tender, possessive kiss. And just like every other time, she kissed him back, the bond between them compelling her to do so. The kiss was gentle, but she could feel the fire behind it, the raw desire that always simmered beneath the surface.
When he finally pulled away, his hand caressed her cheek, his eyes searching hers with a strange mix of adoration and hunger. “I love you,” he whispered, his voice laced with a dark kind of devotion. “You know that, don’t you?”
She nodded, her throat tight, the words she wanted to say stuck behind the weight of the bond. She knew he loved her, in his own twisted way. And despite everything, despite the years of feeling trapped, she loved him back.
Whether she wanted to or not.
But deep down, beneath the bond, beneath the love that wasn’t truly her own, there was a part of her that still longed for freedom. A part of her that wondered what her life could have been like if she had never met him. If she had never been claimed by the monster who loved her so much, he had stolen her away from the world.
She was his, forever.

Here Kitty, Kitty ― Chapter Five CW: the sliiiightest suicidal idealization if you squint WC: 901
It was becoming increasingly hard to ignore Jeonghan’s blatant flirting as you tried to pay attention to the chemistry lecture, pretending you weren’t at all affected by his smooth words. He was quickly proving to be quite the charmer and you could feel your resolve slipping. Your hands continued to type out the notes but nothing was registering in your head, just the sweet words he continued to whisper towards you.
“Jeonghaaaaaaaaan” You let out an uncharacteristic whine, trying to get the older to stop. The professor had begun to go on about an upcoming project, something you were definitely not looking forward to. “I’m trying to listen to the instructions about the project. You know, the one that’s worth like half our grade,”
“Sorry, it’s just so hard to pay attention to boring lectures when there’s something else I’d rather have my eyes on,” you can practically hear the smirk on his face as you roll your eyes, however the blush creeping on your cheeks betrays you and tells him a different story. Still, you do your best to focus on the lecture that seems to drone on and on while Jeonghan on your other side smiles rather smugly. He can tell that despite the way you act indifferent, his words are most definitely affecting you as he watches the apple of your cheeks turn a pretty red. He’s rather satisfied, so he relents, letting you be for the rest of class.
When class is finally dismissed and you’re putting away your laptop, you turn to face the male next to you. Jeonghan tilts his head in response, looking oddly catlike for a wolf.
“So do you wanna work on the lab at your house?” You question, to which he simply raises his eyebrows at you before a chuckle leaves his lips.
“That’s fine with me. That is, if you’re alright with the other 12 people who will probably be all over you the moment you step foot in our house,” You cringed almost immediately, forgetting about the multiple other wolves trying to get your attention in any way possible. Even if it meant pissing off their alpha. You’re biting at your lower lip before letting out a sigh.
“Fine, we can do it at my house. This weekend, Saturday at one? Is that ok?”
“Works for me,” The two of you exchange numbers before parting, though you don’t notice his lingering gaze on your retreating form.
Tumblr media
Needing some air and time away from his rambunctious brothers, Chan finds himself heading towards the roof of the history building. A quiet place no one else really went, a perfect hideout for the werewolf when he just didn’t want to think - sitting under the sun and letting his worries wash over him. When he opened the doors however, he was surprised to find that he wasn’t alone, a single lone figure sitting precariously on the ledge. Curious, he comes closer to inspect who it could possibly be and is once again surprised to find you, the mysterious new girl that his brothers had set their eyes on.
“You’re - not gonna jump are you?” He questions rather insensitively, not thinking he could possibly offend you with his words; or worse, startling you and throwing you off balance, sending you tumbling to the ground. The history building was at least three stories and any normal person might not survive a fall from that high. Maybe if they were lucky they’d just break their legs.
You didn’t even flinch though, having already smelled him coming closer. A small giggle escapes your lips and the sound vibrates in his ears, wanting to hear more.
“Jump?” You scoff, rolling your eyes despite the fact that your back was facing him and he couldn’t see your reaction. “Believe me, I would if I could,” Your voice has a bitter edge to it and it makes him more curious about you, the mystery surrounding you had intrigued the rest of his brothers and he’d be lying if he wasn’t interested.
There’s an awkward silence that occurs between the two of you afterwards, and Chan gets the feeling he has said something he shouldn’t. Before he can even utter an apology, it’s you who asks him a question instead.
“Do you know the saying? You know, that a cat will always land on its feet?” You turn your neck to look over at him, blinking slowly as you wait for his answer but he only furrows his eyebrows in confusion.
“Uh, yeah. But why?” He blinks at you in return but your lips curl into a smirk. You look away, this time leaning further over the edge of the building. Your legs bend slightly and you prepare yourself to jump. Chan notices what you’re trying to do a little too late, watching in horror as you leap off the roof and fall to the ground.
He rushes to the ledge in pure shock only to find you perfectly fine on the ground, hands clapping together as if getting rid of invisible dust. You glance up at him with an innocent smile on your face before waving him goodbye. Chan can do nothing but watch you walk away. There are a million questions running through his mind, none of them making any sense and he knows that you’re going to plague his thoughts for at least the rest of the day.

IMPORTANT AUTHOR NOTES:
Wow. So I think it's fair to say I never ever ever thought in my time here writing that a werewolf series would even be in my league, but here we are, wahahaha... This beast took me over 3 months to fully draft, write and edit. (There's already an Epilogue of the original series, (Spider Boy Is A Dog In This One) in the works, along with an edit of the OGS!)... So please stick around for more ;) Asks welcome!!

In the dark, familiar belly of your home; your breath stilled.
Soonyoung was having a nightmare again.
You could hear him struggling. Again.
Through your link. Through the pain.
Through the walls.
With a soft exhale, you padded across the living room to approach the space leading to his doorway.
You had been camping out in your own living room for near enough eight long and silently dragged-out hours.
Listening with an aching ear to your Mate’s irregular breathing and the violent fluctuations of his heart rates through the thick, distant walls. Attending to his moans of discomfort; the duvet being thrown off his body, on, then off again. Pressing him with water, or food, whenever able.
He was in deep, deep Fever.
And you couldn’t stand to be away from him any longer.
Tumblr media
“What is it? What’s wrong with him, Jeonghan? What is it you’re not telling me?!”
Jeonghan had sighed, with a withdrawn look seeping even further across his face than when the two of them had entered your home.
Jeonghan looked to his left side, whining softly. His hands twisted together as older brother Seungcheol shared that pained, unspoken expression with him. You instead turned to whisper-yell towards Jeonghan; your closest confidant and the second half of the hierarchy.
“I’ve never witnessed anyone in this family even catch a cold, let alone anyone get so sick that they become bedridden Han?!”
You spared a glare towards Seungcheol, only to be met with the crown of his head.
They were avoiding your eyes.
And it was rightfully making you aggressive and irate.
The two Alphas had come to check on their brother per request. To protect their adopted sister - you - again, per request. And yet, the two Alphas sat, withdrawn, in the middle of your home, with nothing to offer but side eyes and uncomfortable expressions.
The sanctity of your high rise was being mitigated by Soonyoung’s sudden illness and the Alpha brothers' sudden beckoning. The two men could smell the stress coming off of you in hot waves.
“Why is nobody answering me?!” You finally yelled, tugging your silk nightgown closer against your body, heart rate rising with a sudden pump of adrenaline. You knew better than to shout at your leaders. Yet you were pressed into a corner, and desperate for a response.
“You came here because I asked for your help - and yet you have nothing to say?! There was no point in you coming all this way just to sit in silence, so you may as well leave!”
A sharp warning of a growl and a ticked jaw from eldest brother Seungcheol made you turn on your heels quickly, out towards the window. You puffed out your cheeks like a kid being scolded, hugging yourself tightly with a pumping heart and an instant strike of guilt. Soonyoung wasn’t here to negotiate the social politics of Wolves, and you were out of fucks to give. A dangerous combo.
You weren’t about to apologise, but your gut told you it was wrong; so if you had to stand your ground with a prickle of desperate sadness striking up your throat, you would do so with your back turned.
For a Wolf, turning your back signified trust.
But it also flagged up the indirect demand for space.
A moment to gather yourself. A minute to bite your tongue and feel it bleed in an effort not to speak out against the pack’s rigid hierarchy.
The soft breeze billowed your unfamiliarly distressed scent out then back into your very own home as they stayed silent.
Respectful of your body language; even if you didn’t know what it was you were demanding, they remained stoic.
Your fingers and palms danced at your face, dappling away the tears on your sore cheeks, sniffling against your shaking knuckles. All the while trying to breathe through the sudden heavy lump surfacing in your throat.
You heard a rustle in the distance; digging your nails into the soft flesh of your bicep - the noise had come from your Mates' room; anxious to your body no doubt stirring him with your chemically pungent grief, only a few metres away.
Jeonghan and Seungcheol had heard it too. Exchanging a look that confirmed they would need to comfort you while their brother was displaced.
They often forgot you were born human.
That being an Omega who needed guidance was not something that came instinctively to you. That your metamorphosis of lifestyles and sacrifice of power and anonymity would be life-long.
They would do well to remember it.
You whimpered, defeated, with your chin tucked in and lip wobbling in grief.
“I just want to know what’s wrong with my husband…..”
Your soft peal of grief touched Jeonghan. He knew it well.
His own Mate had been turned, Human to Wolf.  Memories of his wedding flashed behind his eyes at the endearing way you referred to Soonyoung - as your 'husband’ - recalling memories of your wedding, also. He remembered the way he cried in joy for his brother. For you.
Although Mated for life, the wolves had gone through an unnecessary human wedding process for their loved ones, upon their request. They never regretted it once; this seemed to just be yet another building block in the path to a healthy life bond.
Jeonghan considered the kindred connection between you both. He stood for a moment, adjusting his suit, attire out of place for the morning hour, the fabric still tinged with his Mate's citrus scent. Then, he approached you, meeting your side at the window.
His palm reached to your furthest shoulder, pulling you towards him until you crumbled against his side. Tucking your scalp against his Adam's apple. Embracing you, despite your tense demeanour. Taking a moment to connect and intake a heavy amount of air; before releasing with an angelic-sounding sigh.
“You’re okay, pup.” Jeonghan whispered soothingly, “You’re okay.”
A smile breached his face, expression placating entirely; matching your fearful teary eyes in the windows’ reflection.
“We know you’re scared. But we’re here for you, Y/N, as much as we’re here our brother. You’re okay, pup. We’re here now. Take a breath. Nothing is going to suddenly change. No one else is going to invade your space - not even within the next few days - not without our permission, first.”
The insinuation of ‘our permission’ was that the two oldest Alphas were now protecting you both. It made your heart weep, happily.
“Me and Cheol are here - your brothers are here, Y/N. And Soonyoung doesn’t need to be removed. You’ll stay together, for now… So take a deep breath. For me, please?”
His voice calmed your nerves an unreasonable amount.
You pressed your palm against Jeonghan’s rib cage; body reacting to the proximity of another man, another Wolf, another Alpha via its own whims; such a feeling was unfamiliar, strange.
While you were smart enough to realise that Jeonghan was exerting a considerable amount of force on you emotionally to control you; you were not knowledgeable enough quite yet to realise how desperately you needed to let your walls down for them.
It was a generous attempt at contorting your grief into comfort, and Jeonghan was particularly skilled at manipulating emotions in others…
But you were even more stubborn.
The two of you now glared at each other like siblings about to spark a brawl, inches away from each other's faces.
So much so, that the tugging on either side was tangible to even Seungcheol who sat behind you both. The elder rolled his eyes with a slight sigh.
‘She’s not going to curb, Han. Not while she’s this distraught. Step down, before you waste your energy - or better yet, start a fight on her turf - brother.’ Seungcheol murmured mentally through the link, bypassing you entirely.
Jeonghan’s cheek muscle twitched in response. You were capable of more than Seungcheol yet knew.
“Breathe, pup. Before you pass out.” Jeonghan growled, ever so delicately.
You readied your mouth, ready to speak back, before -
“Do it. Now. I won’t ask you again.” Jeonghan grit his jaw; enacting harsh love without a second thought. Before releasing a sad sigh that sagged his upper body down into a weak curve. “Break the tension, pup… We’re not here to fight.”
Jeonghan’s eyes flashed a bright tulip yellow; the type of power that forced a clap of white noise into your brain - showing that to all company present in the room,  through his true power, the sixth sense tug and pull was merely child's play to him - you were finally compelled to do as you were instructed, as much as he hated to use it on you.
Your lungs heaved a deep, sudden inhale
“You cheap shot fuck.” You bit back, hitting Jeonghan in the chest with weak fists. The sudden intake of oxygen made you dizzy; your body entirely at will to the Alpha that held you steady.
“Atta girl.” He purred, gripping your elbow as you padded on the balls of your feet, knees buckling ever so slightly under the weight of his exerted link. “Just - take a second to get your brain back - then we’ll explain what’s going on as best as we can. How does that sound, hmm, our fierce little newly-turned? Some answers might help settle your nerves a bit; whenever you’re ready.”
You wanted to argue with him. Truly, you did.
But after so many hours of feeling disconnected from another Alpha - Soonyoung or otherwise; journeying through stress and fear alone - you finally felt safe with the two of them directing you.
Even if it killed a huge part of you to admit that.
And whether you realised it or not; their presence eased this new part of you, to a noticeable degree.
After a few spare seconds of considering their words, you finally averted your eyes, frowning and exhaling in defeat. Breathing again, the tension of your shoulder muscles began to release, and you nodded to the Alphas mentally. ‘Go ahead’.
“Good job,” Jeonghan hummed, solely to you. “You’re in our care now, Y/N. You’re safe. I promise.”
Jeonghan’s lips pressed against your forehead in a platonic kiss, before his grip slacked, allowing you to pull away.
You chose to stay close to him though. Heart pattering loudly to every Wolf in the room. Standing there, covered in only your thin night clothes.
‘Just follow Cheol’s lead.’ Jeonghan prompted internally, soft in tone. ‘And all will be okay, in the end.’
You felt strangely…vulnerable.
Shifting on your feet to cautiously glance at them both under your eyelashes. They didn’t seem mad. Nor upset. But you still felt awful.
Tumblr media
Soonyoung had originally gone to sleep early complaining of common illness symptoms; something Wolves could sleep off in a matter of hours. This time, however, was different. Something felt wrong.
It was nearly 3 am when you called them. Terrified as to why Soonyoung was sweating and moaning as his muscles cramped and rippled in agonising pain, calling out to you to 'Call my older brothers!' through the link in his sleep.
They had sped to you immediately from the other side of the city and made it to you by half past the hour. Sending Minghao to sit with you in the lounge - living only a few floors below and already unsettled by the ‘bad vibes’ he had caught through deep sleep - until Jeonghan and Seungcheol got there; the three brothers closing Soonyoung away and in his room, alone, as a ‘precaution’.
When they arrived; Minghao was sent away. Despite his insistence to stay by your side; they seemed set to speak to you alone. You were left waiting alone on the couch for the better part of an hour as they stayed with your Mate, deadly silent, in his room.
You ended up pacing quick lengths across the suite window view as the sun began to rise - until they exited, without words, to take a seat on your couch, with a look someone only gave when they had bad news to share. They had the look of bereavement that you never wanted to live down.
Tumblr media
“We thought he would have told you by now,” Seungcheol spoke aloud after some time. His voice as steady and clear as ever. “We didn’t realise he had left it this long -”
“Thought he would have told me what, exactly?” You shot back, bitterly.
A squeeze from Jeonghan’s hand reminded you that they were on your side. Peaking a glance up at his forgiving expression. Though well renowned for being something of a tease, Jeonghan’s yellow eyes held a good ounce of compassion inside of them. There were some selfless ions inside that body of his. But even they dressed in sheep's clothing.
You sighed through your nose on a pressed exhale, shifting on your toes.
“Told me…. what?” You tried once more.”Soonyoung should have told me what, exactly, Cheol?”
It sounded a little better - more respectful. Your shift in tone made Jeonghan chuckle, releasing your arm as you turned to see Seungcheol. A faint smile eased onto the elder's face. Jeonghan’s opposite arm rejoined your shoulder, facing forward this time.
A beat of silence passed before Seungcheol thanked you quietly, dipping his head at your correction - a sign to say he had accepted the otherwise shaky attempt at repairing your composure, with great fondness and tolerance.
You bowed your head back.
It was enough for the Alphas. And they weren’t about to ask you for anything more. Even in your own home, you were still sometimes a little lost in their world. Just thankful for their patience in teaching you their ways.
The older Alphas' gaze was intense when he opened his mouth and finally began to speak, capturing your attention completely.
“Soonyoung suffers from a pretty rare genetic disease. He was the only one who caught it in our generation and we’ve only been able to track it back roughly nine generations - to no cure known. That may seem like a lot of lifetimes to a human, but our lineage is aeons-old. He just happened to draw the short straw in the gene pool, I’m afraid.”
Seungcheol watched your face contort. Stuck somewhere between being confused and afraid. His expression softened, along with his tone.
“Our little Soonyoungie has always suffered from Scarlet Fever,” Jeonghan noted. “Sometimes…. Well, some phases can become worse than others…” He trailed off slightly, eyes unfocused as memories flashed behind his eyes.
“I’m imagining you’re aware of our cycles by now, Y/N? And how it follows the Moon’s cycles, bi-monthly?” Seungcheol continued where his brother had left off, the two of them working like Cheshire cats in tandem with each other.
You nodded, looking down bashfully as your own memories of Heats and ruts passed in your mind's eye. You returned eye contact gradually, to then allow the Wolf to continue.
He was patient because he knew you learned these things pretty fast.
“And I’m safely presuming that your people have, in the past, told you tales of our vicious, beastly turns on new moons, and the like? Young, fair maidens come to mind?” Seungcheol's question was pinched and drenched in sarcasm, despite his efforts to conceal his disdain.
Your head dipped again into a nod, somewhat ashamed. You were more Wolf now than ever, but you knew the damage of the folklore humans had spread for centuries would forever stain the real love of these gentle beasts.
“Yeah, they did…” You nodded again. “I never knew they could be so wrong, though, Cheol.” Your words had weight to them. Raising your head as Seungcheol scoffed in agreement. Jeonghan smiled to himself just out of sight, then hummed again pleased, pushing forward.
“The stronger the cycle, the stronger our Omega’s Heats, our own ruts, hormones, hunger, thirst, intuition, senses, everything - EVERYTHING - becomes. Just for our Soonyoungie… It can become so strong, that it inhibits him from socialising -”
“With humans,” Seungcheol interjected with a sore expression and tone.
“Right,” Jeonghan nodded with a sharp sigh. “It prevents him from socialising with humans - in our newly mixed world. Otherwise, things… Well, he can become very dangerous, little sis. It’s not something we can prevent, or protect people from. Especially when the Scarlet hits suddenly. He can lash out, and get confused like a rabid animal. It’s - it’s not fun to see.”
“He’s a danger to society when in deep fever, Y/N.” The leader spoke in a stern and deeply impactful tone.
Or, maybe, it was just the words' meanings that carried a message to you like a scream in the night.
“He has gravely injured people in the past, and I have no doubt he would have killed many more without our family sticking close by.”
“All to no fault of his own, that is,” Jeonghan added, again very tenderly. His brother hummed in solemn agreement. “He suffers from it as much if not more than, the people around him. It’s in his body, after all...”
“It’s important for you to know about all of this, in case of any incidents where you may be alone together again in the future Y/N. You may need to spot the signs for its progression, as he spots you for your early Heats.”
Seungcheol rounded his speech off remarkably delicately given his usual stern and unbending nature, and you would have been amused, were it not for the long beats of silence that followed afterwards.
“I’m sorry, on behalf of all of us; you should’ve been warned sooner. But it was Soonyoung’s story to tell, and I can see now what not telling you could’ve done. The danger we could’ve put you in. The fear and pain keeping such a secret could have caused. I’m sorry, Y/N. On behalf of the family.”
Seungcheol dipped his head solemnly, followed by a slight bow from his brother.
It was rare to get such an apology; so it struck even more anxiety in your heart as to what exactly the fever could do, to warrant such an action.
You returned the Alpha’s small bow, a show of respect and understanding, but your brow still creased, working quickly to gather the breadcrumbs in your mind.
Somehow, they had managed to warn you about Scarlet Fever; yet gave absolutely no reasons as to why it was inherently a bad disease to have. It didn’t take you long to realise that they were both incredibly clueless.
“Dangerous?” You mumbled aloud after a short while, troubled by the thought of your bubbly and sweet caring Soonyoung causing anyone harm outside his job of protecting the pack and his family.
“I realise it’s his line of work to get into brawls, but… He’s maimed people because of this?” You questioned tentatively, “Purposefully? Because he’s what - lost control of himself? That doesn’t make any sense, Hannie. That’s not like him at all. Even you can see that - right?”
Jeonghan hummed ly. He could see your pain, clear as day.
“When the pull of the moon is too strong, out and about on the streets of the city, you may not know friend from foe. Scarlet makes it very hard to suppress the instincts of an average Wolf, let alone an Alpha.”
Jeonghan puffed a huge exhale, clearing his throat.
“You may mistake someone waving at a friend as an attempt to throw something at you, or take another being’s scent - friend or foe - and lose yourself trying to chase and track it. Could end up in a different District following an otherwise fruitless path.”
“Could end up in another city,” Seungcheol mumbled, eyes distant this time.
Jeonghan nodded, then continued.
“It might be hard to think of Soonyoungie like this… but, it has happened before. He’s ventured too far from home. Sure, maimed people, if you want to call it that. We wouldn’t lie to you for fun, Y/N. We’re just looking out for you as an extension of our younger brother.”
You met Jeonghan’s forgiving eyes with your own, searching them for any space of a lie, before dipping your head in defeat. You could see no deception. Sense nothing but the truth from the two of them. Smell nothing but familial, platonic love in their presence trying to comfort you.
“There are two options for us to consider as a family here. You could either stay here with Soonyoung, and we will leave him in your care with some guidance,” Jeonghan started, voice low and somehow even more delicate than before.
“Or you can stay with one of us for a while, and we’ll send one of his brothers’ to watch over him in a few hours. Either way, we won’t press you for an answer right now, and the final decision is yours to make.” Seungcheol rounded off with a smile. And surprisingly to you, a low growl.
What would otherwise indicate aggression was almost like a purr from the older Alpha.
And as you and Seungcheol watched each others’ faces for confirmation, you faintly heard Soonyoungs’ pulse on a steady beat. Your gut churned at the thought of leaving him there alone for a week; confused and in pain. If you knew anything about your Mate, you knew that in some way or another, he would search for you, and potentially harm himself in doing so if you left the high-rise to stay with his brothers.
So, before you knew it, you had barked out an answer.
“I’ll stay!” A strong growl released from the back of your throat and over your tongue as you yapped, making Jeonghan laugh heartily at your side.
You made a shocking squeaking sound at the back of your voice box that caused your tongue to recoil into the back of your throat, before apologising quickly with a bowed head.
It had been over three years since your turning, but you were still adapting to the changes.
As usual, neither of them minded.
“Cute, pup.” Jeonghan snickered, knocking you gently with his hip.
After all, you were an adopted younger sister to them now. And they only wanted you and Soonyoung to remain safe, happy, and well looked after under their care.
“Of course,” Seungcheol chuckled. He reached for your palm, providing a tight squeeze in reassurance, before letting go. “You can stay with him as long as you’d like. But we’ll stop by occasionally to check on the two of you. I do have some bad news, though. Would you like to hear it?”
What a silly question, you thought, but nodded a solid yes regardless. Does anybody ever really feel prepared for bad news? Not in your opinion. But you supposed it was kinder to ask for permission than to throw it upon someone unknowingly.
“Unfortunately - “ Seungcheol hummed, disdain on his quipped sigh. Lip quirked down from his sun-through-the-clouds, break of a smile; fluidly moving into his more familiar and earnest expression at breakneck speed.
Despite what some members had shared with you about their brothers' stiffness, you truly enjoyed being witness to the occasional breaks that Seungcheol shared with you. His heavy warm hugs, gummy smiles, and occasionally an airy high-pitched laugh that lit up any space. It was an honour that you made him feel safe as a part of their adopted family.
But sometimes; it was equally as warming to know that the person carrying that serious, stern voice, was perfectly willing and actually able to take on incredible feats to protect his family.
Like he was doing right now.
He was guiding you to make a decision, via a gentle push. Matching your energy and soothing your Wolf; whether you realised it or not. It was what he was born to do. And he pulled it off extremely well.
“Suppressants won’t help much with the Scarlet Fever symptoms.”
Seungcheol cleared his throat, noticing your dazed expression and offering you a mutually shared nod, before continuing.
"in fact, they pretty much do nothing at all to curb the amount of hormones being pumped through his body right now. They may possibly help if the Scarlet triggers his rut, but more often than not, he’s simply in flu-like pain. Human drugs are not nearly strong enough to ease the symptoms, as our immune systems burn out the medication before it can even hit our abdomen… I’m sorry Y/N, It might be challenging, but we’re here if you need anything. All twelve of us, I mean.”
Your brow creased, body tensing as you sensed that this conversation was about to come to an end. “And if he goes into Heat? Act as normal, or?”
Jeonghan laughed like chiming bells at his brother's expression of sudden distaste, making you smile faintly before Seungcheol nodded at you. He didn’t even bother to correct your mistake of confusing Heat with rut, simply choosing to move on with a sheepish look on his face.
“Treat the rut as normal. But if anything gets dangerous - if he doesn’t know how to stop, or if he’s injuring himself in an effort to get off - we’re only a very loud shout away. You know that, right, Y/N?”
He looked up expectantly. You quickly nodded, though more reserved than before and with a tucked chin.
“These walls are thick, but nothing can truly ever be hidden from us - as a pack, or as a family unit. Chances are we’ll sense something before you tell us, anyways. We’re just that damn clingy.” Jeonghan eye-smiled down towards you with another hip tap. “Good or bad, that is.”
Seungcheol gave one last reassurance attempt.
“Look, it’s… unlikely that he will try to hurt you. It’s unlikely that he’ll even acknowledge your presence. You’re just another Wolf to him when he’s in a deep state of fever, I'm afraid.”
Seungcheol shifted in his seat before rising.
Such a subtle movement into your space made your whole body twitch backwards; the sandwiching between the two pressing males made you feel mute, and impacted upon. It was a vulnerability to be standing between two Alphas like this. Suffocating in the wrong scenario. And both you and Jeonghan could feel it.
Jeonghan continued - with cautious eyes towards his brother that told him to stop moving, immediately from where he had stood - drawing away your attention to a more familiar and safe sight.
His hushed gentle voice eased you once again.
“He’s never signified to any of us that he even knows who we are. I’d even give it a good 99% chance he would affiliate your presence with safety, and family, but not do much beyond seek comfort. I’d consider even some basic acknowledgement as a good few steps forward.”
It was no secret to the family whose affection you preferred when facing challenges.
None of them blamed you; Jeonghan had imprinted his protection upon you since your first meeting - scared, newly turned in his brother’s arms - in their communal elevator. It touched him greatly.
The same with Minghao. You, a newly turned, had been thrown into his office and into a literal pack of wolves the day you met his brother. You were one savvy female among… idiots. And so he also watched over you as an older brother.
They both felt compelled to you and you to them, in a bond only a wolf could ever feel.
Accidents of the purest kind, that never went unnoticed by others.
Seungcheol nodded with a newly stringent tone entering his voice. Almost like he was pleading for you not to push.
“Right - but there’s always room for error. And we’ve never seen him go through the cycle with a Mate - with you, Y/N. Unfortunately for us, those fairytales were written and shared for a reason, and this is a live trial. There’s always a chance that somebody could take something too far, or for him to lash out.”
“Or a chance that it will all go absolutely swimmingly,” Jeonghan drawled with a sarcastic thin-lipped and squinted smile at his brother. You couldn’t help but laugh at his defensive side; ever the witty protector. “Right, brother?”
Seungcheol’s expression pinched with distaste before mocking his brother; then pushing out his last few points.
He realised you likely needed some time alone; space to process and freedom to hide in your safety net of a den. He was eager to leave, but only when he knew you felt secure.
“As I said; it’s unlikely anything bad will happen. But you need to bare it in mind before choosing to spend the next three or four days with him. It might sound like a short amount of time, but he's been known to cry for hours on end. To scream in pain. Starve himself to the point of exhaustion… You'll have to stay strong, Y/N. For your husband. For the family. Just as much as you would for yourself.”
Seungcheol’s tone faded as you withdrew into yourself, avoidant to their eyes and non-respondent. Fumbling with your satin shirt hem as the wind blew through the window and lifted the long sheer curtain around your feet, fabric brushing against your shins.
The jokes felt bittersweet now that you were to be left alone with your Mate, who lay tacky and feeble and in significant pain in your sole care.
“Just being by his side will be treatment enough, I imagine.” Jeonghan smiled down at you, providing one last shoulder squeeze before pulling his body away from you completely. “Shout us if you need anything beautiful. Even if it’s just to talk.”
They had left you unattended, to nurse away your remaining fear and thoughts shortly after.
Leaving you with the rising sun crawling its way over the city in a burning orange display, until the nearing full moon sat tauntingly low in the distant sky. Skulking away under the earth until it could rise again.
You had eight hours until the red moon would rise and claw its upward ascent until it sat upon its cruel throne once again.
Eight hours of bated breath and loneliness.
Oh, what you wouldn’t do to shoot the cruel thing from where it hung.
Tumblr media
Edging around the hallway, you could hear faint whimpering and huffs coming from your Mate’s room.
You shuffled against the carpet with dreadfully heavy feet. Still not totally convinced that you should even be going anywhere near him beyond absolute necessities.
You knew not to call out for him.
Knew that this deep into such a restless sleep; this deep into his fever; that would do more harm than good anyways.
The poor guy was already disorientated; so calling into the night as he tossed and turned as some kind of awfully heavenly ghoul would likely be nothing short of torture.
Pausing at his bedroom doorway, you cracked open the door. And took a moment to absorb his state.
His room smelt like a den in Heat; only, without the intoxicating sweetness.
Sweat covered his body as he writhed in his sheets - Soonyoung’s white hair lay in contrast to the flush of his beautiful naturally honey-toned skin - the wolf having to pause occasionally to groan and whine at the deep throbbing of his bones.
Given what you were told; sneaking into a Wolf’s den as an idiot maiden with nothing but a deadly curiosity was sort of only going to give you one of two outcomes.
This was either going to end relatively badly - null response falling into this category also - or it could all go surprisingly… Well.
Maybe you were just selfish. But you could tell something was off.
The pack - the Wolf family - always seemed fearful of Soonyoung. As if he could fly off the handle at any given moment. But that didn’t make any sense. That wasn’t the Mate you knew him to be. Or the one you knew he had the potential to become.
So all this fear - in your entirely selfish and willfully naive opinion -  was entirely unfounded. And just plain wrong.
But maybe, you thought, maybe he just loved you so much that no matter what the situation; he would never take it out on you.
You quickly shook that thought out of your head.
Not everyone can be the chosen one. People fight, it’s in their nature. So is being fearful of the unknown. Of which; the Wolves were guilty.
Pushing forward with a heavy chest and a huge puff of a sigh; you entered the Wolf's den.
Usually, Soonyoung could hear your heartbeat in another room, across a field, or even a few floors below.
But by now, he was too far enraptured in his fever to even notice your close proximity.
Or at least, that’s what you had thought.
Soonyoung had heard you coming. He just didn’t have the motor skills to show that he knew it was you entering his den like he usually would. His voice was gone, and beyond the pain, he could do little but call for you with animalistic whines. His eyes were pressed shut with a throbbing skull overwhelming his thoughts.
Standing at the edge of fate; you considered just how much it pained you to exist like this; unable to help your Mate, your friend, while he suffered great bone-aching amounts of pain.
You had even avoided Minghao and Jeonghan's calls within the sunlit period. Pretending to be occupied as knuckles rasped at your door - only to hear Jeonghan’s sigh and a “We’re worried about you, Y/N. I know you can hear me, just - text one of us, whenever you’re ready. We’ll stop by in the next few days if we don’t hear anything pup. Rest well. Good luck.”
You mostly found yourself staring out into space in the time left alone. Eyes wide and dissociating your vision to outside the large windows of the open living space area, until the sun had begun its descent. Only moving for water and some food, scrolling endlessly on your phone between trips to tend to Soonyoung.
The hours never seemed to end.
With the percussion of your Mate's erratic and unusual heartbeat setting a comforting backdrop of noise, you had considered throughout the day the Alphas’ words and their implications.
In their words, you were a bodyguard for a week. Able to swap out your shift at the castle’s front doors should you ever need to.
You had considered the idea of your life partner not knowing who you were. It had probably happened, and it was probably terrible. But you couldn’t lessen the pull of your gut to follow those fears down a very dark and anxiety-inducing rabbit hole.
And as the sun began to set across the far corner of the horizon, you toyed with the emotions that such anxieties would impose upon your life.
What if he were to get stuck? In his fever? In his rut? Would you be able to live like this?
But despite what your mind told you, the warnings the Alphas had placed upon you; you followed that part of you that strung to him like the fabled red string of fate.
Bound to each other no matter which way you ran.
His body reacted to you. Even now.
“I’m sorry, baby,” You whispered through a sniffle as you entered, moving fluidly to kneel and slide along on his mattress to sit beside him. “I just needed to check on you. To make sure that you’re okay.” You padded your nose before reaching across his back to smooth over the dishevelled duvet on his ribs; alerting him of your presence. “Or, as good as you can be right now…”
Upon sudden touch, Soonyoung stirred slowly.
One eye peered over his puffy cheek until he could see you. His gaze was sharp, and so unfamiliar that it hurt to look at him. Tears welled in your eyes as an offended expression and a low, consistent growl rattled the mattress beneath him.
But you had to fight it. Fight against the voices that told you what you knew to not be true. He wouldn’t hurt you… not even like this.
You just had to prove that to yourself, first. Then you could believe it.
You reached to brush a cold knuckle to the hot skin of his exposed shoulder, testing the water.
He seemed totally unwilling for you to be there.
Teeth bared, body rigid and eyes dry; left open long enough that you could feel the ghost of a sympathetic pain in the back of your own head.
But you pressed on. Gingerly toying with the hair on the nape of his neck before pressing as he usually would love you to do against the pressure points on his scalp that could massage his brain.
The sensation of your nails scraping against his sensitive scalp struck a shiver up his spine. A sense of deja vu for a memory he couldn’t quite find. And his growls edged into something more relieved than before.
“Hi baby, it's just me,” You sniffled, laughing bashfully as his cold expression met your own. “It’s just me.”
He seemed unsure.
You realised how heavily his brain was intensely fogged over; as his brows folded low, eyes sharply focused on far too many things than usually would be comfortable.
Even though the sun was setting, it was still currently light out; making reflections even harsher to his sensitive eyes.
His irises were impossibly pinched. And his usually dark brown eyes were replaced with a striking Scarlet red, coupled with a slightly deepened purple ring around the edge.
What would usually signify your bond gave you a sickly anxiety you struggled to swallow.
“I just wanted to check in on you, was all…”
You averted your eyes, not willing to tempt fate, even if it was to stare at your Mate’s beauty. Direct eye contact could someday cost you your life. Soonyoung had taught you that.
“See if you wanted to clean up a bit… Have a drink, eat some food? Maybe stretch a bit?”
A rattling, coarse growl struck up Soonyoung’s throat.
What he had intended to signify familiarity; became totally misplaced and more threatening than something he would ever direct towards you usually. Enough to make you flinch.
The force of the growl made him hack a dry cough, curling into himself with short wheezing pants. Soonyoung whined loudly in frustration at his own body betraying him.
He just wanted to reach you. But it was so damn hard.
You smoothed over his hair, shushing him until he settled.
“Hey, it’s okay. You’re alright. Don’t push yourself.”
He pressed his face into the duvet with an expression that you had only ever seen on an overheated canine. His chest rattled as his anger pressed another shaking growl through his gut.
You smiled with a demure scoff toward yourself. Totally falling for the faux aggression and admitting to yourself the truth of what his brothers had explained to you.
“Yeah, I know Soonie. I’m sorry, love. I know it hurts. That you probably just want to be left alone, to sleep... Probably don’t even know who I am, or why I’m even here. I’m sorry I can’t take your place love… I would if I could, you know.”
You fiddled with your unity ring, as you wiped gently at your cheeks.
“Well, hey. I just - I just needed to be one hundred percent sure… You know, before I considered a life where we become severed for several days at a time, or be cautious around you... That’s quite a big thing, you know. In sickness or in health. I just - just… yeah…”
Something sorrowful washed over you.
And you scrunched your face behind your spare hand with a broken inhale at the sudden rush of sadness.
“I miss you Soon… I miss you so fucking much. Even if it’s only been a day…”
He could feel you tugging at the link.
So sadly that it pushed him to move against his sore limbs.
Soonyoung huffed with a deep, yet hushed growl as his instincts pulled him towards you like the rope around the hull of a downed ship.
His voice was too hoarse to speak, but he was still there, with you. And he would kill himself to show it.
He would haul himself through the hot coals of hell until he was nought but dust and bones to breach that gap between you both. If only you would ask; like you were currently.
You were trying to get him to respond like a kid pulling at the fin of a beached whale.
Sure, there were a million better ways to do it.
You hadn’t even tried to speak to him through the link.
But he didn’t blame you. Not at all.
He could sense your fear. Smell your anxiety and deep sadness settling in the room like a light mist. Taste it like brine on his tongue.
Soonyoung rose on heavy arms; back muscles flexing against deep-set scars in an impressive effort to reach you. Groaning at the sensation of his heavy head being lifted; stars bursting behind his eyes.
Once up, he turned on his hips to drop his head onto your shoulder and body weight onto your back with a deep growl that made you strike a shiver; the sound rumbling across the back of your rib cage and into your jaw.
You were unsure if it was actually your own scent that drew him near, or simply that of a female Wolf, but as his dopey smile spread across his face and a sheepish grin pressed into your skin in your peripheral vision, you felt a little more secure.
And you returned his lopsided smile anxiously.
“You stink, Soonyoung,” You whispered, laughing weakly at his low whine as he shuffled closer. Wiping your nose and your eyes harshly. His heavy body rested on your back, arms wrapping around the soft of your belly to pull you backwards.
He buried his face into the junction of your neck as he held you. Whines impossibly high-pitched and needy.
And he held you tight. Tight enough to make you frown. Lip wobbling and tears spilling down your cheek.
It seemed like… he knew. But you weren’t convinced that he could tell you apart from just anyone that could walk in here.
“Do you even know who I am?” You choked.
Soonyoung whined after some seconds - initially whimpering at the pain he felt leaving you so isolated and vulnerable - but further crying out against that notion ever being a possibility.
You felt his nose prodding at your cheek until you turned to look at him. His eyes met your own, as striking as ever.
You averted your gaze quickly, until he whined in succession, squeezing you with all his might to just look at him, unable to communicate with broken lips formed into a pout and a lost voice.
As you looked back up, your heart skipped a beat.
Soonyoung may be in a deep, deep fever, but he was still yours.
Yours to love. Yours to hold.
With his chin resting on your shoulder, burning red eyes coupling his usually dopey smile, and his arms heavy on your waist, you released the pent-up emotions in your chest. Sobbing into your firmly swiping fist as he held you tightly.
Soonyoung began to hum softly. A random tune to soothe you both. Gravely but deep and rumbled due to his vocal cords in this state. Gentle bass like a purring cat. Swaying you in his arms in a gentle rocking motion.
His hot skin rippled under your fingertips as you brushed over his arm. Self-soothing by reminding yourself he was still there, right there with you.
Soonyoung moved his heavy forearm particularly ungracefully into your own. One palm pressed into your stomach to keep you close; while the other pressed into your palm to open.
Patiently; you allowed him to fumble his hand until he met your ring, twisting it against your knuckle and growling against your cheek with a puff of air and some grunts. It was the best he could do to confirm he truly knew it was you.
And it worked. The action made you smile, tears welling as you leaned your cheek against his hair, face pressed down into your collarbone.
He squeezed you impossibly close. Able to crush you if he so wished; but gentle as ever.
He was practically purring for you.
It was safe here, and you knew it.
Knew it despite what the leaders had advised.
“Thank you, Soonie, I just …” You bit your inner cheek, sighing. “I just had to make sure…”
Soonyoung chuffed quietly as he nuzzled you. Not letting go and consistently growling until your heart rate settled and the tears were mostly gone.
He followed his nose against your skin until he reached the back of your neck, the top of your spine almost being burrowed into as you removed your hands to swipe at the tears on your face.
But you didn’t mind. Even while being set on fire, he just wanted to be near you. To hold you.
Unconsciously his hands searched for your own again, in the dimming light of the sun on his bed sheets.
You pressed your fingers between his, guiding his arms in a cross over your belly until he held you even closer against him on his own accord, sitting with his knees on either side of you.
“You okay, big guy? My big puppy? You seem content enough just to hold me, hmm?"
Soonyoung’s response washed over your scalp like a blanket being pulled over your head. The low consistent hum of almost a purr pressed against the back of your rib cage and vibrated your stomach pleasantly.
"I'm sorry I left you in here all alone - it's what I was told to do. But I knew it was wrong. Should've trusted my gut, hmm?"
He nuzzled against your hairline, following his nose until you shivered with a muted putter of a sigh. That was a ‘yes, I’m great, don't worry, you're here now’ on his behalf.
“It’s almost night time again.” You spoke absently with a wide yawn. Smacking your lips and not even expecting an answer at this point as you were expectedly met with a rumbling growl and consistent PDA to the back of your neck.
“There’s not much point in washing any of your stuff, but… we should definitely get you washed. Hmm, Soonie?”
Soonyoung seemed to answer. But you couldn’t quite make it out. Chuffing against your cheek before relenting his attention and resting his head on your shoulder.
“You really do stink.” You smiled. Side-eyeing your Mate as he huffed with an annoyed expression. Letting yourself giggle as he pouted.
“I’ll even go make you a bubble bath, Soon. I would just appreciate it if you could try and gather some strength to help me get you across the hall if you can. That okay, my big puppy?”
Soonyoung growled deeply before pausing, opening his eyes a mere slit to simply look at you. He was deeply touched, even in this state.
Yes, he nodded.
Yes, I would do anything for you.
Yes, I would go through hell if only you asked it of me.
Tumblr media
You wiped the tiger-shaped soapy soft sponge directly behind Soonyoung’s ear; gliding it down his shoulder blade, before coming back to his chin to slide it down his chest.
At first, you had simply ignored the way his groans of discomfort had melted into twitches in response to your lazy, hot touch. The patterns you drew on his body with soft humming and an otherwise empty brain.
You were treating his open-mouthed and airy moans as a symptom of a usual rut like the others advised might happen.
But before long, the continuous slow torture of the soft gliding sponge against Soonyoung’s skin became a test against your will to stay in control of your body and the way it reacted to him.
Soonyoung released a long, loud, rippling growl, before panting softly, head falling to the side away from you. Canines peeking from under his lips and skin hot to the touch. He rolled the muscles in his shoulders and his neck away from you until your mouth watered.
The bastard knew the effect he had on you.
Even kneeling behind his broad shoulders next to the bath, you could see your Mate’s hard-on poking up from the bubbly surface.
By now, it was throbbing just as hard as you imagined it might be after a suddenly induced rut.
But you still couldn’t help but tease.
“Soonyoung!” You gasped with a giggle. You relished his embarrassed whine as you kissed his temple.
“Even with Scarlet giving you the worst fever like ever, you’re insatiable, aren’t you Soonie? Hmm, my needy little puppy?”
Soonyoung whined again, but louder this time. He was so obviously found out and badly affected by your words. He shied away from you; pouting and folding his knee up to cover himself.
You simply giggled, continuing your sponge pattern over his skin.
He was struggling to control himself. And knew you couldn’t be teasing him deliberately… right?
But as your pillowy lips pressed to his drying hair and ear, he was starting to get antsy.
“You can go ahead, you know. I know it hurts. I won’t stop you, baby. Go on. Go ahead. It might even help you relax a little bit.”
Soonyoung moaned softly at your kiss to his temple, easing his knee to the bottom of the tub as his eyes widened into slithers, starting to slowly open.
“Never know - might help you sleep later.”
By now, with the heat of the bath, mixed with your very discreet smell of attraction, his very sudden rush of hormones starting to cloud the room, and your body being so close to him in your burrowing night clothes; Soonyoung was fully panting.
Panting in an effort not to consume you whole, or jump your bones.
Intoxicated by your presence.
With Soonyoungs sweet scent adding to the fog of the bathroom, your poor fan was working overtime to clear it.
But mostly, it was just pushing hot heavy air around and pooling out of the glass bathroom door and into your suite.
You swiped directly behind his ear again, pressing down his neck in a slow but steady pressure until you reached his shoulder blades. Moving forward to press open kisses and a flat tongue to his ear.
Soonyoung moaned long, and low. Eyes pressed shut and head back.
You strayed your sponge down the crease of his abdomen, circling up and around his nipples in a slow drag before pulling back behind his shoulder.
"Go on, baby. Know you need it. Know you want it."
You could tell he wanted it. Almost unable to breathe anything but his libido signals at this point. And other than verbal response; he was fully able to advocate for himself.
Soonyoung’s body shuddered, jaw slack into a moan as you peered over his pecks in curiosity.
He had indeed begun pumping himself beneath the water.
His hand went white from tension as his leg muscle tensed, bucking up out of the soapy surface. Biting painfully at his inner gums to stay quiet. Grunting through nasal exhales, he began panting again with long, ear-aching whines.
But his whines were pained more than anything. Frustrated. Unable to move his aching arms at the pace he would have liked. Battling his stiff joints to scale to direct pleasure.
“Easy baby, you’re going to hurt yourself.” You mumbled against his hair as he turned to lean into you in a daze.
"Let me, Soonyoung."
Making a quick tsk sound, you knocked his hand out of the way. Shuffling further down the side of the tub with loosely rolled up sleeves to move until your chest met his shoulder.
"The shit I do for you…" You grumbled with a hefty amount of amusement. He would give his life up for you if you asked. You just felt the need to tease. "You're lucky I love you, honest to the Gods…"
Truthfully, he looked desperate. Panting with red eyes piercing through you in the fog, begging for a release.
You stuttered for a mere second as Soonyoung’s thick musk hit your nasal cavities; but unbeknownst to you, the Wolf took notice. Nuzzling at the collar of your silk shirt to waft your own scent directly into his brain, growling softly with sharp canines pressing to the thin of your skin. Pressing kitten licks to your collarbone.
A soft growl rattled past his grit teeth as you peeled away his hand. Before he licked his gums and nuzzled your collarbone at the sensation of your soft palms linking together to massage his length in a firm but gentle pressure.
“You big baby.” You laughed gently, the twitching in his legs telling you this wasn’t going to last nearly as long as normal. He whined and huffed, wet hands pulling at the sleeves of your silk shirt until you released a hand for him to manoeuvre.
He threw the given arm behind his head before dropping his nose against your collarbone, grumbling as you pulled your fingers through his already drying short hair. Running your nails over his ears and jaw in long scratches.
You continued to cradle his head against your chest, pulling a few last times before his panting peaked, stomach tensing before groaning loudly into your tacky skin.
Hot strips of white and warm spurting cum slipped across the top of the bath; causing you to stop breathing through your nose and in through your mouth in quick succession.
He usually held a decent load - but that was a lot. Beyond the usual rut amount. AKA, a fuck ton of semen.
And it was a sinful scene that you had naturally begun reacting to. Thighs pressing together and cunt slicked within seconds.
Soonyoung pulled his leg up to roll closer to you. Burying his face into you with a heavy groan.
“Feeling any better?” You whispered through a shaky laugh, dousing your hand with nearby soap before flicking it in the water.
Your Mate nodded weakly, shuffling to sit up and press his lips to your own. You held his strong muscles up in the right direction as he keened for you.
The kiss started out gentle.
It did, truly.
But before long he had your cunt pulsating around the air in the way he wantingly sucked at your lip as he pulled away. His wet hand reached up to secure your neck in place with one solid, wide, strong palm. His thumb pressed up against your jaw. Spit drooling between your chins.
And as his tongue swiped up against your palette, completely overpowering you in the sloppy kiss; you knew you were fucked.
Moaning into the broken kiss before pulling back, almost stumbling back on your ass to quickly move away from him.
Gasping breaths and shaking your head with a choked sound of a shock to try and clear your brain.
But it was far too late to try and hide what your body had begun to beg for.
Or rather - there was no point in stopping what had already started to spin into motion.
Within moments, he was rock hard again.
Tongue pressed to the side of his mouth, sharp eyes staring into your own and softly growling.
You scoffed. “Seriously?! That was meant to relax you, not get you - or I guess, both of us - in the mood to fuck, Soonyoung! Seriously!! You should be in bed!!!"
You were met with another moody growl, sighing as you rolled up your newly wet sleeves.
“Come on, up, out. I’ll have to help you shower. And we’re doing it cold. Near ice cold, so you can try warming up in bed while you sleep again. Cock soft, head empty this time, please. Come on, help me, please. Get up.”
Soonyoungs upper left corner of his lip curled into a non-threatening and no-noise snarl as you gripped under his nearest armpit, using your strength to heave him up until he could take over. His feet squeaked against the porcelain bath before soapy liquid hit the floor and he managed to haul himself out.
You almost helped him with your eyes shut, just trying your absolute hardest to ignore him. His overwhelming, choking and dizzying scent. His unusually sharp gaze. His hot skin you were just aching to melt against.
As you reached past him to get a towel, Soonyoung scoffed to himself.
You were far too obvious. Having danced around him like a scene a mime would put on to make a Werewolf laugh, this entire time.
You used those clothes to burrow in. So they had a smell to them you would never be able to get rid of. Similar to your duvet, or mattress. Or his underwear. Or the slick stains on your thighs. The pre-cum on his shorts.
It was just something innate. Primal.
They gave your untouchable Wolf senses an anchor to ground you; only challenged by the pack's Alpha in a usual family dynamic or your Mate. Both of which combined happened to be staring you down like a four-course meal as you paused for air.
The scent of your wet cunt against your nesting clothes struck some primal part in him.
Something that urged him to soothe you.
To Claim you.
To fuck you so deep and fill you so full with his cum and his scent, that you would want nothing else in the world but to fall asleep in his arms.
Not have to rely on your own scent or your own items of clothing to feel safe again.
And more importantly; to paint you so full with so much cum that his scent would stick to you for weeks.
The thought - and the current visuals - made his gums and his cock throb with a carnal fervour.
He hadn’t seen those clothes in such a long time. You had never worn them outside of your room, as that was… kind of the point of the whole arrangement. Your private comfort area stayed isolated from everyone, oftentimes even Soonyoung. So in essence it acted like a den. Somewhere to go when the world demanded too much of you; as it usually does an Omega. Especially a female one.
And you really, in honesty, rarely ever needed time away from your Mate.
But he supposed it comforted you as you had camped out and waited for him in the lounge until late evening.
He had been checking for you too, in his moments of peace. Knew the effort you were making to worry for him. He thought it only kind to return the favour, as your body was cluing him in to-do.
The Alpha in him very rarely ruled the scene. Found no want nor need to impose himself upon you.
But in your nesting clothes. Weathered with such fatigue. Still, the smell of fear and sadness clinging to your skin. Caring for him so well, as he should do for you.
It was time.
“Soonyoung -” You huffed, sighing as he moved like you were afraid he was going about to do.
His sharper-than-usual nails dug into your hips as he spun you to face the mirror. Hot breath hitting your cheek as he nuzzled behind your ear, boner pressing against your ass as you huffed in a faux-irritated way. He lay his tongue flat against your pulse, dragging up into your hairline then back again.
“You’re getting water all over the floor -” You groaned with closed eyes and grit teeth. Stubborn with resistance to his laments at your skin. Even you were able to pick up on your own arousal in the air now.
The two of you were going to scent this entire floor if you weren’t careful.
Somewhat haphazardly, his palms pressed into yours on the sides of the sink. His hips fell like a heavy weight as he pinned you against the marble. Between his teeth was your Mating Mark, a sharp tooth making you twitch as he chuckled in a low baritone growl. You whined without noise, lips parted with a gasp.
“I can smell you too, flower. Don’t ever forget that.” He spoke in a raspy voice against your cheek, voice hoarse and skin on fire against you in the bathroom fog. His broken lips dragged a new texture across your hot skin. “Thanks for the help. Now please, let me return the favour.”
You choked a moan at the sudden open kiss at your collarbone. One hand moved to grasp at your breast over the top with wet soapy hands. The other keeping your hand pinned.
You keened over, choking again at how suddenly tender the area was.
“Soonyoung, please hear me out - I don’t think this is a good idea! You’re not even meant to be out of bed yet -”
“Look up, pup. Look at me.”
Your tongue grew heavy in your mouth. Lips pliant and eyes dragging up as an instant haze tugged over your brain.
He was commanding your body, and it made you shake with desire.
But you wouldn’t give up that easily.
“Soonyoung -”
You moaned airily before gritting your teeth in defiance. His hands pinched your nipples between his sliding fingers, rolling over your shirt with a chuckle. “- you’re going to get me into so much trouble, you horny little shit -”
He smiled with a pointed-canine grin against your neck. A hoarse laugh pulled a loud bouncing growl forward until it racked your brain.
"I don't give a fuck, precious. I'm the only person you ever need to answer to. Or to seek comfort from. Not any other dogs. And certainly not my brothers."
Soonyoung moved his hand to pinch your chin and tilt backwards to look at him. Lip curled in a gentle peel of a snarl.
“Look at me, flower. Or I'll eat you alive.”
Before licking directly into your ear and grinding up against your core. Your leg jolted with another choked moan.
But you closed your eyes firmly, shaking your head.
By now; you were soaking wet. Both from him physically and… from him physically
Actually, in every sense.
And you surprisingly had very little want to fight it.
The past day had made you feel so bitterly alone. Lost, and afraid in his world.
You just wanted some guidance again. To be held. And he was more than happy to provide. He just had to convince you the jump was worth the fall.
Soonyoung hummed.
“You’ve shown me so much love this past day or so, my beautiful Mate."
His growl vibrated into his hum, hips gliding back and up again until you couldn’t help but take over.
"You’ve done so well for me. Been so good to my family intruding all over your home and in your den."
His wet cock pressed perfectly into the curve of your body, ass and cunt, as he thrust up against your clothes.
"Listened for me even when you felt so alone.”
You mewled pathetically; cunt so suddenly ready to be stuffed full that it sent you for a spin.
You stilled abruptly in your movements only once Soonyoung had chuckled into your hair, finally having caught you.
His hips had stopped moving long ago.
“Look. At. Me. My pretty Omega.”
Soonyoung’s words made your entire body shake.
And you hadn’t whined this needily in a long, long time. Maybe ever.
Your lip started to wobble until you finally allowed yourself to succumb to him.
Eyes blinking open and meeting him in the mirror.
Soonyoung hummed a beautiful and pleased vocation from the back of his bass vocal cords, lips pressed to a kiss on top of your skin.
Your pearl pink silk nightwear was covered in his wet soapy handprints as your breasts lay perk and your hair became dishevelled in his musings. Stuck to your tacky bodies.
Your knees had begun to tremble as he bit higher up on your neck in faux threat; moving to press sharp points into your flesh and wet the skin; only to retract and move them further and deeper once again.
“I would love to cover you in my scent, you know, pup. If you would let me.”
You choked a sob as his fingers pressed into the sides of your throat. You gripped at his forearms; not holding him to you but not entirely pulling the pressure away.
"I want to leave so many Claim marks on you that another Wolf wouldn’t even think about looking in your direction without my permission.”
Soonyoung gently thrust his hips upwards, pushing the edge of the sink further into your bone as he moved to the other side of your neck. Growling at his own words and working himself up in the process, eyes slit thin in the foggy reflection.
"I want nothing more than to fuck you so completely full until your brain starts fucking melting, sweetheart. How does that sound, hmm?"
He held you until you fell apart in his arms like you had always wanted him to do. He pressed the length of his cock up and against your core again. Making you sob out a moan.
“I could fuck you into the type of submission and bond; the likes of which you've never felt before, my love. A connection that most other Wolves spend centuries trying to reach. Remember we spoke about that, before? Remember how much you begged to be bonded, out on our stupid little fucking business trip? Remember how much you had keened for it before I said we should stop?"
He was talking about… a specific time.
A specific time and place where he had blown your back, soul and brains out then told you via pillow talk about the inner workings of higher mating and what it took to get there.
You nodded eagerly. "Yes," You moaned breathily, "Yes, God yes I remember -" You sobbed as you began to get dizzy, core soaking the fabric pressed up against your lips and thighs; soiling the expensive silk clothes in your scent. " - we were so close but you pulled away too soon…"
“Good. I'm talking about that connection, pup. It wasn't the right time, back then… We weren’t ready yet, love." Soonyoung hummed gently in fond memory of the night. “I think it's time. You're ready. I'd be honoured, if you'll let me guide you…”
He growled lovingly, pushing forward.
“What do you think then, pup? Would you like that? To have my cum spread all over your belly? Stuffed up so full inside your cunt you'll be leaking for hours? You just need to say the words, gorgeous, and I'd do anything for you, angel… anything you ask for. Anything at all."
The rasp in his voice struck deep in your essence, and despite yourself, a long, deep whimper escaped your lips. Struggling to battle his aura as your thighs pressed together. Head full of nothing but the thought of his canines catching on your scar.
“But - Soonyoung - you’re still weak - ahhh-” A moan interrupted your arguments as he sucked in an unfamiliar place behind your ear, making your body tremble.
He seemed to be searching for something. His smile told you that he had found it.
“You need to rest -”
He didn’t seem to be listening. Growling deeply as he caught the skin between his sucking lips, lazily placing a bruise into your skin.
“Would you like that pup? For me to Mark you again? I can smell it on you, you know. You want to give in, but it's unfamiliar. An Alpha’s powers. You're nervous.”
His confession shocked you for a moment. Squeezing up under your jaw until your cunt clenched and you saw stars.
"I could take over? Make the decisions you're too afraid to make. Cut the shit you don't have the energy to refuse. It's what we were made to do, Y/N. The power bred into me. I just need to hear you say the words, my love. Then I’m all yours."
He released the pressure on your throat to gasp breaths and hold his strong forearm, in a complete and utter rush to lock eyes with him behind you -
Ah.
You were an idiot.
Not only was he not going to hurt you, but he had also spoken before many times about how he tried his best not to exert his powers onto your conscience.
He knew the control he could exert over you.
Knew the risks involved.
Fantasised about them greatly.
You whined in a desperate panic before chuffing needily at the gentle hushing and peppered kisses on your cheek.
He kissed you sloppily at this angle, but you didn't care.
Just so obviously desperate and hungry for his reassurance in this state.
His body was hot. So hot against your exposed neck, thighs, back, arms and even against your pyjamas.
And you were unable to form a single thought until he licked the shell of your ear, edging you towards the point of no return. Coaxing you there as he pressed your palm firmly into the sink. Cheek against yours.
He nuzzled you before relenting his kisses to watch you in the mirror, awaiting your response. Skin to skin once more. His growl rippled over your back, fuzzing over your brain.
'Answer me, angel.' Your evolving and sifting yellow eyes met his bright red ones. His tone became instantly a thousand times softer than mere moments ago, as soon as he saw you."Do you want it, or not?"
Almost immediately, your head began to spin. You were starting to feel the sudden guttural pull of your Mate looking at you with pure want.
Your Alpha was seeing you for all that you were, all that you would ever be. And beyond anything, he was finally forcing his power upon you. He had a question and intended to receive an answer. It was a foreign feeling, but one that sparked a fire in your gut that made you moan wantonly.
You became lost in his eyes until your head became entirely blank and foggy and slow like traipsing through the mud.
The Wolf in you pushed you to nod with a high nasal pitch of a plea, head rolling back to meet your cheeks together in submission.
'Easy, pretty girl. I've got you.'
He shushed you, growling feebly in response to your eyes meeting him with a deep belly whine in the mirror; struggling to give in.
'Lean into me, pup, if you need grounding. I'm here, and I’ve got you. Lean in.'
His irises relaxed only once yours had expanded, starting to shift into the still unfamiliar colour of honey yellow that met his softened gaze.
'Soonyoung, it hurts my head!' You whimpered loudly. Soonyoung growled softly through open lips, peppering slowly over your exposed skin.
"Breathe, angel. Let me lead. I've got you."
It had been a while since you had submitted to him fully.
But God did it feel good.
An instant tension set into your skull; in your jaw and in your brain. Fuzzing up the hairs on the back of your neck and over your scalp until you shivered, eyes flashing stars as they moved and evolved.
“Good job. You’re so good for me baby.”
It wasn’t that the trust wasn’t there, but your meeting had been one of sudden fate. Your love was a growing one, that you expanded upon daily. And he never saw a need to exert his power onto you unless you benefited from it, or asked.
Your jaw opened and shut in an effort to speak but right now you couldn't muster the words; pleading with your body while being gently pushed along by his guidance.
A burst of gold sprang into one of your eyes, a bright daisy mixing with deep wood before disappearing.
New signs were appearing.
Something was bubbling in your wolf blood.
It made your connection twang enough for Soonyoung to nuzzle your shoulder.
'That's it. Lean into it. You’ve got it beautiful. Can you feel it? It's stronger than ever this time.'
Your legs trembled as he licked and bit at the skin on your hairline, whining as your pulse beat against his lips.
“Answer when you’re ready - lean into the pull, my brave Mate…”
It was your turn to pant, your stomach twisting as you gushed with sudden arousal, skin hot to the touch.
"Do you want this? To become Claimed completely?"
Your bones began to shake as your eyes and head struck a tension headache, mind swimming in his demand until finally - you answered.
“Soonyoung - please -” You cried out, pressing back against him anxiously.
Soonyoung immediately rippled a protective growl. Confirming he was there non-verbally. Pressing his hot torso against your back and your cheek against his. Eyes soft and watching you carefully in the mirror.
"You're okay, sweet dove, I've got you. You're okay…"
He whispered affirmations into your ear space so they echoed in your brain. Ready to cut the pull and save you from the crash if you gave the signal to stop.
But your next cries confirmed what he knew to be true.
"Please, yes I want that - want you to make me come so so bad, I just - just make it stop Soonie, I want you so bad it aches, my head, it - feels like you're pulling me apart - I want it, please -”
“Easy pup." Soonyoung rattled against your temple, voice softer than before. Pressing a soft kiss on your cheek. "I’ll ease it - just don’t fight the pull. You'll only end up hurting yourself more if you do."
He moved to look behind you for a moment; pulling the waistband of your trousers until they caught at your knees.
With steady movements, he aligned himself with you. Knowing your body and anticipating the acceptance even before any prep.
Such was the influence of the Scarlet; forcing the two of you into a temporary Heat, pulling the energy of the upcoming one backwards so you would be allowed a much longer break. But God it was so much stronger than your usual symptoms.
“Can you feel just how deep it hits, Y/N?” A deep raspy growl spoke directly into your brain, making you whimper. Body heat back against your skin in an instant.
With heavy eyelids you inhaled sharply, nodding as your irises expanded. You were melting like old and slightly clunky kinetic sand towards his pull, panting deeply as your thighs shook against him.
Trying to lean into it, but struggling greatly.
Something was pulling your soul towards him like a hunger you had never experienced.
“The Scarlet is pulling your Heat forward, pup. My body is… our souls are matching each other. Wherever my cycle is… you’re meeting me halfway."
Soonyoung kissed your shoulder delicately.
"Wanna fuck you till you can’t move baby. I know you were awake all day and night, hmm? Watching out for me. Poor pup, all alone. Scared of being left alone in the world.”
He nuzzled you, eyes bearing through your mind in the foggy reflection.
“I could hear those thoughts, you know. So loud and frightened. Pretty flower, I would never let that happen to you. You have me for eternity.”
In your overwhelmed state, you couldn’t help but immediately wash over with emotions.
And Soonyoung moved his free hand to wipe the stray tear from your cheek.
“I would never let that happen to you, Y/N. I would never leave you so suddenly. I knew the Scarlet was coming. I just needed to see it out. To see how we would work. Thank you, for your love. For everything.”
He whispered. Just for you. Wrapping his arms around you to hold you tight. And he held you there until you eased. Intertwining his hands over yours as they met the sink again.
“Do you want this, Y/N? To be paired, again? To be Claimed entirely? Marked by me so that you never feel alone?"
At your pitiful whimpers, Soonyoung pressed his cheek against yours, growling affectionately. He could feel your pent-up energy ready to burst.
"You'll never need to feel that isolated again, angel. But you’ll also never be apart from me. You know the risks. We’ve been through it before. So - do you want it, Omega? Want to become a part of each other so that we never have to be apart again?"
Softer this time, he closed his eyes.
"I'd give you my everything, love. Even my life, if you asked for it. I'm yours after this, as much as you become mine. This is your last chance to pull away. The last time I'll ask…"
Without even a few seconds of a pause, you nodded hard, fast, and multiple times, releasing pitiful moans as your head flopped back against his shoulders, pleading against his lips in hushed unintelligible whispers.
After a gentlemanly kiss and some shushing, Soonyoung moved to nuzzle again at the base of your spine, resting against yours as he took a deep inhaling breath.
“I love you, my precious Omega. Breathe for me, baby. The stretch might hurt a bit.”
Upon his instruction, you met his inhale, attempting to follow his exhale before letting out a cry and crumbling into his hold against him. Moaning loudly, shaking even more so.
You were immediately overcome by the stretch of him entering you; along with something unintelligible sparking under your spine and up into your scalp until you folded with a slack jaw and loose numb lips.
Upon entering you, Soonyoung sunk his teeth into your soft, tacky and salty skin.
Right up and in; against the spot behind your ear that had made you tremble; until his gums were pillowed; biting down hard enough into your neck that your muscle tensed to curl up into his hold and press his nose into your hair.
A wicked embrace. Full of pain and desire.
Your pulse thrummed against his tongue enough for him to moan loudly.
And his cock throbbed heathenly at the way you melded into his arms with such brainless gasps and cut-short gulps of breath and mouthed words to explain how the poison struck a match of buzzing meadows across your skin on the downward plunge of your lungs first being set alight like a burning forest fire, then gasping for clean, crisp air.
But he didn’t need your words.
And as if a second Claim Mark wasn’t enough, the head of his cock pushing past your entrance and spreading your walls even further than usual, matched with the fog of hormones and the sudden wave of Heat striking up inside of you, made you orgasm instantly.
Your back had arched in a sharp backward curve into his chest; gripping at the hand spread flat and wide over your throat; cunt pulsating as stars passed behind your eyes in this sledgehammer of a sudden incline and breach of ecstasy burning the muscles in your thighs until they gave way.
Soonyoung released the power in his jaw as your body liquefied into his hands. The removal of his canines in your pressure points released your neck and shoulder muscles; gravity pulled your head and chest to fold forward.
His forearm levered under your chest; and controlled your body weight to stay hovering just above the solid counter sink with care.
He held you as you shook and airily moaned. Your cunt pulsating around his cock in a vice-like pulsation that had your body hot and ready for more.
Soonyoung released your weight only when you dragged your burning elbows into yourself and pressed down against the counter to heave your torso back up; headspace elsewhere as he peered over you.
From the edge of your hairline, a long strip of blood smoothed down the expanse of your back.
It folded into your spine and descended fast enough for Soonyoung to quickly grab a towel - the one you had discarded on the side of the sink after his move to pin you - to stop the flow from meeting your conjoined bodies.
He used the towel to press at the wound after wiping the trail clean up your spine in one solid motion; causing you to shiver as he held you up via pinned hips.
All as he sat snug to the hilt inside of you.
The sight of blood had bewitched him, if even for a second.
Mouth dry and breath caught in fascination.
Your heart leapt in your chest at the scene before you and the sudden asphyxiating vulnerability you had begun to process once up and looking back at him.
Washing with bashfulness; you scrunched your shoulder up and against your cheek. Moaning in embarrassment at the buzzing tingles of ecstasy sparking up your neck and into your cheek muscles.
His fingers pressed into your warm skin over the towel; while the unfamiliar pout and coyness caused Soonyoung to laugh at you benevolently.
He released the hand holding your chest to shake his head playfully. Resting against the counter to smile down at you. Peppering the opposite shoulder with kisses. Brushing his thumb up and down against the back of your neck where it was trapped; just to feel you shiver and whine.
“What’s wrong, angel?” Soonyoung’s smile pressed into the skin on your shoulder as he pushed a mocking tone. “Does something hurt?”
“Nghh - Soon -” You moaned shyly as he pressed down forcefully at the wound. You couldn’t help but grind down on him at the spark that struck through you - the fucker did that on purpose - before moaning quietly.
The fucker was deliberately teasing you, but you had no will to bite back like usual. And that only made his eyes crease further in amusement.
“Yeah - yeah it - it does - hurting - ngh -”
But you both knew it didn’t really hurt. It was pleasantly numb despite the pinch and you were just bashful in the spotlight of sudden vulnerability, more than anything else.
'Need you - it hurts - please, Soonyoung.'
You whined suddenly, loud and needily  in the echoing link.
You were satiated only by his cheek meeting your own, and being held against his chest in a solid purr of an embrace. He pressed his lips all over your free ear, pacifying you.
“Show me, angel.” Soonyoung soothed you, kissing at your ear and grumbling against your cheek dotingly. “I need to see it, to close it, love.”
You moaned at the tingling spreading into your scalp; the shifting of his hips pushing your blood at a faster beat in your chest and out of the wound every time his cock throbbed inside of you.
“Can you show me, please, beautiful? Need to see ~”
With a muted whine and a nod, you released your shoulder very slowly. You prevented the new blood flow from being pushed out every other second by your anxiously beating heart via your palm atop Soonyoung’s hand pressing down tighter and tighter over the towel on your skin.
He grumbled at the contact; gently twitching his knuckles under your fingers.
You pulled your eyes away with a swimming mind to ease the pressure pulling in opposite directions over your head.
“Thank you, gorgeous.” He purred through open lips, pressing a chaste, open kiss to the shoulder behind the towel, before guiding your dizzy head up and away by a pinched chin as he peeled away the fabric.
You whimpered feebly, palms pressing down into the counter to ease your nerves.
It was unusually tender. Somewhat awkwardly angled. But it had hit the mark. And it was a clean bite, too.
He hummed softly at the sight once the towel was removed.
“I see…” Soonyoung mumbled absently. “Relax baby, I’ve got it.”
He moved past you to turn on the tap and dampen the edge of the towel; switching between dabbing at your skin and rinsing the cloth with warm water until he could lick and suck at the skin with the iron taste removed as much as possible.
He didn't mind blood in his line of work. He often came home stinking of it.
He also didn't mind it to protect you; in fact, it was a byproduct that inflated his ego.
But any blood coming from your body made his knees weak, in a rush to protect you.
There was no need for soap or disinfectant as his mouth provided all the goods; meaning he could close an open wound immediately if he wanted.
But Soonyoung held a particular distaste for any spec of your blood on his tongue - for the above reasons - and tried his absolute doggy darn best to avoid it.
“You’re all worked up - that’s why it’s bleeding so quick and heavy - my pretty dove."
The new pet name rolled from his throat with a vibration that made you moan.
"All that adrenaline - it's gone and mixed with the poison in your veins. That’s why it’s best not to fight it… Don’t want you getting hurt, or panicked… Easy, let me…”
Soonyoung’s voice trailed off as he cleaned the mark, moving to concentrate on clotting the wound with his saliva.
His tongue spread flat and wide up behind your ear. Completely consuming you in affection. Licking and sucking at your ears as he went, growling against your efforts to gain some sort of friction on his heavy cock.
You whined softly, closing your eyes to the overwhelming buzzing atop your shoulder. What had started on the surface, ebbed into a lack of sensation across your one bicep and shoulder blade; even aching up into your jaw. His saliva mixed with the poison and acted as a natural numbing cream and it was starting to make you feel equally unbelievably horny and anxious.
The feeling of relinquishing control and being unable to move in his protective grip made your lip wobble in a voiceless battle.
A hugely unfamiliar grumble of a growl struck up Soonyoung’s chest as he chose not to let you go, holding you to him in an unusually possessive way once the bite was sealed.
Your heartbeat spiked, the Wolf in you fighting your human aspect, and Soonyoung pulled out and away immediately, releasing you.
“Easy, easy pup, you can let go. Go on, go out, you're free to go -”
He anticipated it before it even hit you.
Struggling slightly on strong arms: he reached to pull the door open.
"Easy Y/N, you're okay."
Allowing the fog to release and you  stumble out desperately, silk pants bundling your knees until you fell against the soft carpet of the entry hall. Panting heavily with shaking legs and unmatched eyes as you spun to peer up at your Mate at the door, his eyes a beacon amongst the blurred view.
“Soonyoung -” Your face read as a pure shock. Voice practically a moan, confusion evident as your mind caught up with your fight or flight response that threw you out of the room and onto the floor.
Before you could fumble an apology, he understood.
"Shh, it’s okay my pretty Omega. Take a breath. You're safe."
Your pulse was pounding and the sudden feelings caused you to go into overdrive. He purred at the desperation in your voice.
“Are you okay?” He huffed in deep worry. Deep, hoarse. His Wolf was clearly fighting to move, but he was still in control.
“I’m -” You thought for a moment, before gathering yourself. Nodding. “Yes. Just - I - that was a lot… I’m sorry, I was fighting it Soonyoung, I-I wasn't ready, I -”
“Would you like to try that again, after you’ve calmed down some more, pretty dove?” He stopped your rambling again, in an unusually calm voice. "We moved too fast - it spooked you too much, is all."
You paused momentarily. “The - I - but you’ve already Marked me once Soonyoung, are you not tired? Do you not get any kind of rebound from moving so fast?” Even in the fog, you could see his eyes pinch.
“No.” He answered simply. “Just a hunger to Mark every inch of you until there’s no clean skin left.” His voice was low, coarse and drawn out.
Soonyoung was clearly holding back, but it was making your heart patter with even more anticipation. You pulled your knees to your chest in a loose attempt to cover your modesty. But the scene was tinged with the smell of sex and the sound of your anxiously bated breath, so there was little point in hiding yourself.
“The chemicals in my body are endless. They only ease after the urge is satiated. And you know how that goes.”
Despite the tone, you cracked a smile at his cheek pulling up. A canine snug over his lip in a smile. “Yeah, I do.” You whispered, shying from his gaze. “It never ends.”
Soonyoung had matured a huge amount since you had first cornered him to finally claim you, to tie you onto his life bond with pure instinct and little brain involved. The decision was final, fated. And you could never see a life without him in it, even on your worst days.
The strengthening of the bond would mean giving up your whole self. After so many years of isolation as a human female in a world of very real threats, you knew the decision should be a weighted and worrying one. But the prospect only brought you a sense of peace.
“Would you like to try that again Y/N? In a short while, after you've got your breath back?”
Looking at the large windows in your lounge, you took a minute and thought about it again. A little longer this time. Considering him with an innocent and somewhat blank face - the face of someone who totally wasn’t considering the implications of giving up their total anonymity to their partner.
“We can wait. It’s a big decision.”
Before something struck in your gut.
Soonyoung was gently pushing you for an answer.
He could hear your anxious thoughts like distant ghostly whispers. Inaudible, but inescapable.
Telling him to pull you towards him like the singing of angels in the absolute knowledge of God’s choir; a responsibility that weighed heavy on his soft and dog-eared heart that beat empathetically for only you.
“No, no, it’s okay… I know my answer. Yes, I would. I want it. I would want you to  - do, whatever it was you needed to do, in order for us to be matched up for good.” Your cheeks heated up after that last one. “It’s been on my mind since you taught me about it.”
Underneath his shadow at the foot of the door, your thighs rubbed unconsciously together. The new indents on your neck were framed by your hair, and highlighted by the dim yellow eyes that looked up at him for reassurance.
Soonyoung smiled softly, nodding with a loving haze pulled over his features. Resting his head and body weight against the door as he smiled down at you.
You were ready, but your nerves were tangible. The scent lay sour on his tongue.
“Go to your den, my brave little Turned-Lupine. You're still far too highly strung to think clearly. Even if it doesn’t feel like it. Wait for me there. Then, if you change your mind, we can stop. Or we can carry on. Whatever you want, I'll follow. It’s your decision in the end, Y/N. I promise.”
Soonyoung’s instructions were soft in delivery but final. And the use of such an official legal title made you shy.
You nodded, curling in on yourself before he eased you with a smile, "Go on, pup. Go calm down. I’ll be with you in a minute. I’m sorry for pushing it - the link. We’ll go a little slower next time."
He waited for your timid nod of confirmation before pulling the bathroom door closed and moving fluidly into the space behind the darkly tinted glass door.
“Wait, Soonyoung -” You called out softly, tenor weak as you felt him move away.
It was still all too much… But you didn't want to be left all alone again.
He re-opened the door enough to see his upper body. Smile soft, eyes small against his cheeks.
“What is it, love?”
You - you weren’t sure.
You just knew you didn’t want to let him go.
"I don't - just - don't go…"
Soonyoung’s expression softened greatly.
You were tugging at the bond again, very very desperately. So lost in the changing of tides. So desperately afraid to ask for guidance.
“Go on, Y/N. I’ll be with you shortly. I’ll be there. I promise. I won’t be going anywhere else but with you, in that den, once I'm done here. Okay?”
Soonyoung watched as you battled with yourself greatly. Fiddling with the ankle hem of your trousers and worrying your lips. Your brows creased and your eyes were drawn to the floor.
But he was patient. Eventually, you nodded with a pout. Soonyoung mirrored you; nodding back gently.
“Alright. I’ll be going now. See you soon love ~"
You smiled with a returning wave as he closed the door. No doubt returning to the scene of original sin to let off some more ‘steam’ to control himself better.
You didn’t blame him. In fact, you were starting to feel the same way. Maybe even somewhat jealous.
On the floor, with the morning light hitting the windows, you quickly scrambled to gather your thoughts.
They rushed into your brain, harsh enough to grant a small ache behind your eye.
The truth was; you were a grown woman. An Alpha’s Mate. You trusted him with your life. And yet you felt silly at the virtually butterfly-inducing anxiety imagery of him coming into your safe space after what had just happened.
And the lies lay multiple. Thin and sparse and barely backed up by anything you had seen. He wasn’t about to hurt you. The guy loves you, you reasoned internally.
With a putter of a puff-cheeked sigh, you hauled up on heavy arms to tug the trousers back up around your ankles, to your thigh, to your waist.
It was a little silly; given there were wet handprints layered over every high point of your ass. But it was enough to get you going; shuffling towards your room.
Soonyoung’s grunts and quieted moans made you warm from head to toe.
“Den - right - got it!” You whispered to yourself.
A small yelp escaped you as you got up way too fast; stumbling towards your room to get just past Soonyoung’s heavy groaning breathing made you even more insane than before the whole thing had started.
You approached the door of your den; and ran into it. Collapsing onto the bed with a quick yell into the cushions before composing yourself.
"This is gonna be one hell of a night, me. Get it together girl. You got this."
Tumblr media
“Y/N. Can I come in?”
What a silly question. It was his home. But as he waited patiently for an answer, you hummed a noise of approval, picking at the button on your duvet.
Soonyoung opened the door before closing it behind him softly.
It had been a long time since he had been in here. Your place of rest. Your sanctity. Your burrow. You slept together often - but it was important you had somewhere to go when you needed to be alone. And he never tried to enter this space, should it be tinted by him. Today was different.
“Wow - It’s pretty in here, pup!”
Soonyoung noted how much you had cosied up the place. Mesh curtains aligned the walls. The window was blocked completely. Instead, the light came from fairy lights scattered randomly across the room. Soft music came from a nightlight speaker hidden behind some pillows, muffling any harsh sounds. The blue water light flowed across the ceiling, calming and serene.
You shuffled, releasing your grip on your knees as he waited for you to acclimate to his pressing aura inside of your gentle-edged bubble.
“Thank you.” You mumbled finally, releasing your pent-inhale and watching the patterns with him for a moment.
After a while, your hand reached out. Linking your fingers into his. Pulling your Mates attention towards you on the mattress.
He followed his eyes, up your arms towards your face with a hum. Until he stood above you, red eyes bearing into your own.
“You look better already…" You mumbled.
A small smile came from Soonyoung.
You loved it when he smiled. His round cheeks brightened up any rainy day.
"Do you feel any better, Soon?"
“Thank you, sweetheart. The fever may come back, after the rut.” He whispered back bluntly, hand straying to thumb at your cheeks. “But the more you’re near me, the better, me thinks.”
“Oh…” You mumbled bashfully. “Then, Soonyoung?”
Soonyoung’s irises pinched as he inhaled deeply, nodding at you to go ahead and ask your question. At this level, your nose picked up the sweet smell of his rut before he had even made it to the bed.
Right now, your mouth was watering. And when you looked back up, he was met with yellow eyes and the most submissive expression he had ever seen from you in the years you had known each other.
“I - I do want you to fuck me, Soonyoung. As my life partner. As an Alpha - my Alpha…"
Those words were foreign and weighted in your usually independent mouth. But they were genuine.
"You've been so patient with me. Please, Mark me. I’m ready. I - I need you, Soonyoung. Really, really, really, really badly.”
And so at the break in your weak pleading voice, Soonyoung’s stomach erupted into a growl you could feel spike the hair on the back of your neck. You took a deep breath before the match struck, and you were both pulled to each other.
You’re not sure if you met Soonyoung’s mouth halfway or if he totally overpowered you as he clashed your gums with his, but in a flash, you were laying flat on your back with his body weight hot and pressed against you, throbbing hard cock pressed into your thigh and hip and abs pressuring your nipples even through your shirt.
Upon impact, he ate up your whines, rib cage vibrating against his. He weighed you into the bed; like a large weighted blanket of pure love placating your thirst and hunger and lust; all in the safety of your private room.
Your den was going to be left with the scent of him, and the thought made you drool.
The kiss was nothing but pure sin.
Hot and heavy lust that sucked your tongue between his teeth, leaving you breathless and gyrating under the weight of his abdomen for any friction whatsoever. Your thighs wriggled free under his legs until they hit the floor alongside his own, Soonyoung kneeling on the bed.
A long line of saliva dropped between your lips and into your open mouth as he pulled away, face hovering over yours. Soonyoung gripped your cheeks; curling his lip to snarl directly down upon you, commanding a direct “Open up”.
With an entirely submissive moan, you opened your lips, tongue welcoming the spit of your mixed saliva into the back of your throat with a gulp against your palette. You choked lightly before swallowing, moaning and performing intensely for the red eyes watching you with possession before Soonyoung moved you both in a jolt.
Soonyoung used his grip on your face and an arm under your ribs to tug your entire body onto the bed, following immediately after.
His sharp teeth met the flesh of your left breast as he pressed his thighs onto your legs, pushing your breast up and out of your silk shirt with almost closed eyes.
He was acting and moving on pure instinct.
Licking and nipping messily at your nipples until you gained the will to move, your own sharper nails grabbing at his scalp.
Soonyoung stiffened. Coming to a sudden, complete stop. It was momentary, but it felt like hours with the way you strained to look down at him. He had a scowl on his face and it made your legs shake in anticipation.
But it was a test.
You should be laying down. Trusting him to move for the both of you. This could take some time, he realised as you pressed up on your elbows to prompt him.
He considered you as your heart beat frantically against his lips. Not yet eased.
Still trying to put up a fight with your new body. Battling the poison in your blood and yet desperate to fulfil your desires.
One could not complete without the other subsiding. You needed to pick a path or be encouraged. The poison would dissipate after eventually being fought for a long period; or consume your biology entirely if you just let it.
He would guide you to the edge. But then it was up to you to choose if you truly wanted to fall.
And as your heart pumped your blood even faster into your body in an attempt to rise, to challenge him and speak - Soonyoung had sunk his sharp and long canines into the thin skin between your breast and your heart, moaning in a deep baritone hum at your cries.
That close to your heart, the poison in his gums made you writhe underneath him.
The familiar pain melted into that slow and consistent thrumming full-body pleasure.
He held your wrists firmly against the duvet, unable to control your legs kicking up the sheets beside his hips and thrashing your head while your heart pumped the poison into your limbs.
“It hurts so - fuck - so good Soonyoung, please, please, I need a release, please, please please please, fuck!”
The poison set your veins on fire. Sparkles and cracks hitting along each inch of your body as you cried out, moaning and whimpering, writhing for something, anything to get you off.
As soon as it hit your brain, Soonyoung let go of you.

He felt guilty metaphorically keeping you caged up at the house, but Jeonghan wasn’t taking any risks with you. The market was off limits for you – no exceptions. Maybe he could find one in a different region of the Capitol, but at that point, it seemed basically pointless to even go because of how long the trek would be.
However, you seemed perfectly happy as is. You loved going outside and watching his brothers chop wood or weed the garden, or whatever their chores for the day were.
“Why don’t you pull your weight, Hannie?” Mingyu would call, shirtless and sunburnt with sweat dripping down his skin as he stood upright with an ax in one hand.
Jeonghan would stay standing in his spot behind you, his arms around your waist – you learned he was very touchy, but it made you feel safer somehow – as he watched his brothers with a shit-eating grin, “No, I have to look after Blue.”
Even though you said you were fine with the name Blue, Jeonghan kept trying to think of a new name for you. He didn’t want to have Blue stick with you because he felt like it would just keep that awful part of your life attached to you. He was going to give you a better, happier life, and Blue would be left behind with it.
However, Jeonghan still didn’t have any answers about your past. He didn’t want to ask too many questions, but he wanted to know everything about you. Not just because he wanted to get to the bottom of this strange fear of yours, but just because he really did want to know everything about you.
Meanwhile, you were always hyper aware of your surroundings now knowing that you lived in a house with a bunch of humans. All of the humans appeared to be female, so you thought that maybe you’d stand a chance if you had to fight one off. But Jeonghan was always by your side, and had already promised you that he was significantly stronger than any human. Wonwoo had handed you a thick, old, leather book with a soft smile. He told you there was a whole section on werewolves that you could read about, so you were working on that. It did confirm, though, that Jeonghan’s promise was true.
One of the humans – an intimidating-looking girl with short, dark hair – seemed all too eager to volunteer to fight Seungcheol as proof, but he tiredly sighed and shooed her away.
Still, you stayed on your guard.
There was one girl that kept walking up to you and striking up a conversation. Jeonghan said her name was Jiaying, but everyone just called her Jia. He said she was half werewolf, but appeared mostly human other than her ability to find her way into people’s dreams. You had yet to decide if you trusted her, but so far, she was nice.
Did you think she could still turn on you in a second? Yes.
…Until you realized she was blind.
Despite your mixed feelings toward Jia, you still felt uncomfortable around so many humans. So you didn’t mind that Jeonghan took you outside often. He never brought you anywhere toward civilization, but you still enjoyed it. In the few days you’d been there, he’d brought you on little walks through the woods, had taken you to see streams where a couple of his brothers that would tag along would fish, a few clearings, and he even brought you to a waterfall that was absolutely breathtaking. You both figured that the less time you spent indoors was for the better – but for different reasons.
But that was why Jeonghan should’ve expected that he’d wake up one morning to an empty bed. He’d slept so soundly beside you that he didn’t even feel you get up, so he was immediately in a panic despite sensing no danger.
“Where’s your–” Jihoon didn’t even get to finish his sentence when he saw Jeonghan sprinting down the stairs, before the taller wolf was racing out the front door, barefoot.
“Y’know, if he stopped for a second, I could’ve told him where she was,” Junhui mentioned casually as he poured himself another cup of tea.
Jihoon simply shrugged, not bothering to go after his brother, “Eh, he’ll find her.”
Sprinting, Jeonghan followed the pull to you. He ran through the forest, easily ducking and dodging and pushing passed branches and twigs. He didn’t care if he didn’t sense danger. You were missing. That was dangerous enough to him.
After what felt like forever to him, – it was only a few minutes – he could finally see some light through the trees. It was a clearing he had brought you to before. It was mostly just tall grass there, but there were a few little groups of yellow, blue, and purple flowers here and there. But he still couldn’t see you.
He broke through the trees into the clearing, and he paused to take in his surroundings and really see if he could find any visual clue as to where you went. But that was when he saw you.
Toward the middle of the clearing, Jeonghan could see someone lying face-up in the grass. He could just barely make out the highest points of your body over the grass, and he let out a sigh of relief. And as much as he wanted to scold you for doing that to him, he forced himself to remember that you were stuck in a house with something you were afraid of, and you didn’t really have anywhere else to go to get away from it.
Plus, it had only been a few days, so now really wasn’t the time to start scolding you. Maybe later on in the relationship he would start nagging you a bit more.
You saw him out of the corner of your eye as he walked up to you. You were watching the clouds slowly roll by in the sky, and you only glanced over at him before going back to the clouds.
You really appreciated Jeonghan. You felt a weird connection to him ever since you first laid eyes on him, but he had really shown you over the last few days that you could trust him. He made you feel safe, and those odd feelings you felt before were only getting stronger. You didn’t know what you’d do without him. You owed your entire life to him because if it weren’t for him, you probably would be dead or who knows where.
He sat down in the grass beside you. He had looked you over quickly before he sat down just to make sure you were completely unharmed, but once he realized you were, he felt like he could relax.
What a way to wake up, he thought.
“Why’d you leave so early?” he decided to ask, wanting to whine about how you didn’t tell him but figuring that might come across as a bit too controlling – especially considering where you were only a few days prior.
“I’m not stuck in a cage anymore,” you sighed peacefully, letting your eyes close as the sun warmed your skin. “I’m enjoying every minute of my freedom that I can. That, and…the human thing.”
He nodded with a chuckle of his own, “Right. Well, I’m glad you can stretch your legs now.”
He laid back, looking up at the sky with you. He suddenly felt your fingers wiggle under his hand and wrap around it, so he did the same, his heart fluttering. A content rumble came from his chest, and he heard you giggle. You definitely heard that.
“How do you feel lately?” he wondered, still looking at the sky. “Better than before, I hope.”
“Still a little scared, but…I feel safe with you,” you decided to admit.
A soft smile spread across his face, “I love to hear that. I only want you to feel safe.”
A nice silence fell between the two of you as you just enjoyed each other's company and how nice it felt to hold hands. You just liked being close to Jeonghan, and you hoped he felt the same. He must’ve if he was around you all the time, right?
“Can I ask something?”
Your eyes opened to look over at Jeonghan, “Of course.”
If he made you feel safe, maybe now was a good time to ask about your fear. Maybe he could get some more information on you and where you came from.
“This might be a little silly to ask, but…if you are a human, why are you afraid of them?” he asked slowly, turning his head to meet your eyes.
Your eyes focused on the grass the the small flowers speckled between the two of you instead, your thumb nervously rubbing over Jeonghan’s skin as you let out a soft sigh, “I guess it does seem silly…since…none of you seem to be afraid…”
“It’s not silly, darling,” he promised you. “We all just want to understand so maybe we can help. But don’t talk about it if you’re not comfortable.”
Something about Jeonghan calling you the pet name made your heart flutter. Nobody had ever called you a sweet name like that. But because you weren’t looking at him, you wouldn’t see the small smile that spread on his face because he heard your heartbeat change.
“Obviously, I was born to humans,” you began after a moment of wondering how exactly to explain everything when you didn’t quite know everything yourself. “I don’t know much about my mom because she died when I was a baby, but my dad was the one who killed her.”
You heard a soft gasp leave Jeonghan’s mouth, and you glanced up to see shock on his face, but he quickly tried to compose himself. You continued regardless.
“Nobody knows why he did it. So I was sent to a children’s home since he went to prison. I don’t remember much, but I don’t remember anyone really being nice to me. I was the youngest for a while, and some of the kids said the people who ran the home hated me because I couldn’t take care of myself for a long time. A lot of the kids there showed up at an age where they could be forced to be self-sufficient.”
“You were just a baby,” Jeonghan interjected, disgust in his voice. “How could someone run a children’s home and treat children that way?”
You scoffed, “You’d be surprised. So, yeah, they were just really mean people, and the kids were really mean.”
“Weren’t any of them nice?” he wondered. “There had to have been some kids who didn’t bother you. You weren’t the youngest forever, so maybe some of the younger kids didn’t bother you?”
“Some didn’t bother me, but I didn’t trust them. One girl was… I thought she was my friend, but then she started doing mean things to me with the others. She was always standing with them just staring at me and just…letting them do it.”
“But you got out eventually. You had said you were on the streets at one point.”
You nodded, “Yeah, you can only stay until you’re 18. The workers often reminded me they didn’t keep track of any of my information when I got there, so they didn’t know my name or my age. They just knew when it was around the 18 year mark and kicked me out. I only stayed because I at least had a roof and a bed. Then on the street, I had nothing, and strangers went out of their way to be mean to me. One person might toss me some change every now and then, but another would always steal it or beat me up for it, so it never really mattered. It didn’t matter if one person was kind because the majority would ruin it.”
Jeonghan was starting to get why you were so afraid of humans now. Your life seemed pretty horrible, and it was all because of ways humans treated you.
“And then one day, some grabbed me in the middle of the night and put something over my face,” you continued, “and then I just…woke up in a cage. And that was it.”
It took a couple beats of silence before Jeonghan breathed out a, “Wow…”
“Yeah…” you nodded slowly with a tight-lipped smile.
“I’m…so sorry,” he said softly.
You took a deep breath and let it out, looking down at your hand still intertwined with his, “One of the people in my cage used to say ‘everything happens for a reason’ and they’d repeat it all the time, over and over. I think I started to believe it.”
His eyebrows furrowed as he studied you. Why would you possibly think that? What could’ve been worth going through all of that.
“What do you mean?”
“Well… If I didn’t go through that, I wouldn’t have met you, I guess,” you mumbled shyly, suddenly feeling self conscious about the words coming out of your mouth. You weren’t sure you’d ever said anything so…mushy to someone.
And while Jeonghan didn’t necessarily agree that sort of abuse was worth it, he was too giddy from your words, and leaned over to press a soft kiss to your forehead.
“And the rest of your life will be the happiest life anyone has ever lived,” he promised. “I’ll make damn sure of it.”
-
“I found one.”
Jaemin’s head whipped around to see Sanghun entering the den, a small smirk on his face.
“Seems to be the only live one left,” he added on.
Most of the people in the cages were killed or succumbed to their injuries before the pack got there in the morning. But for the last few days, Jaemin’s pack had been tracking down any scent they could pick up, trying to find lost mates. Most leads went cold, trailing off into nothing as their scent had faded. Others led them to dead bodies that had dragged themselves into the woods before passing. But then, there was a scent that Sanghun had picked up on that wasn’t too far away from the market, and he would get strong whiffs of the scent in waves.
That led him straight to you.
“Who is it?” Jaemin asked.
Sanghun shrugged, “She doesn’t seem to know anything about herself. Doesn’t even know her own name. They just call her Blue.”
“Who’s ‘they’?” Haru asked with a scoff.
To that, Sanghun’s smirk widened, “Oh, you guys are gonna love this.”
That piqued the other four’s interest, all golden eyes on the second oldest now.
“Looks like some other wolf imprinted on her.”
Their eyes widened, excitement on their faces. They loved nothing if not a challenge.
“There’s another surprise, but I’ll let you see that one for yourself, Jae,” he continued. “I think you’ll need to step in to lure this one in.”
-
“What’re you guys doing here?”
Cooper opened the door to Chris, Minho, and Jisung. The latter looked absolutely horrified, like he’d seen something one would only see in their nightmares. Minho seemed mildly concerned, while their alpha looked tired but still a bit worried. It gave Cooper a weird feeling in her stomach that she didn’t like.
“Where’s Blue?” was the first thing out of Chris’s mouth.
Cooper’s eyes widened as she slowly asked, “Why…?”
“Don’t be anxious,” Minho sighed. “If you start acting anxious, his’ll get worse.”
He gestured to the youngest of the trio, who glanced wide-eyed between him and the female wolf in the doorway.
“Can we come in and talk?” Chris asked. “There’s something…concerning we think everyone should know about.”
“Yeah, of course,” Seungcheol appeared from behind Cooper, gesturing for the three to come inside.
The beginning of the conversation already had some of the pack coming to see what was going on, but Chris’s question had the rest of them gathering in the living room where Seungcheol had decided to bring them for this debriefing. Some of the mates followed and gathered with the rest of the pack, while others were either napping or decided to decline the invitation. They were sure they’d hear about it later, anyway.
“Okay, now,” Chris began calmly, “before anyone–”
“We think the pack found us!” Jisung blurted.
Minho rolled his eyes, and Chris let out a sigh.
Seungcheol’s pack seemed confused by what he meant until Seungkwan asked, “Wait, the one Blue was sold to?”
“We don’t think they found any of us,” Minho quickly clarified. “We think they found out the mates are missing.”
“How would you know that?” Jihoon asked, eyes narrowed as he studied the younger pack.
“Because some of us like to go places we shouldn’t be going,” Chris said pointedly.
“We were in the area,” Minho clarified. “Obviously, we were curious, so we made 100% sure that nobody was around. We were safe. Don’t blow a gasket, old man.”
Chris put his tongue in his cheek but said nothing, eyes rolling instead.
“The place was totally ransacked,” Jisung continued. “They offed the rest of the guards, and it was obvious what kind of creature had done it. Plus the place just reeked of werewolf. So they’re definitely pissed.”
“We need to get Blue back here,” Soonyoung stated, suddenly sitting up from where he was leaning against the doorway, arms uncrossing as he looked to see if anyone else was as worried as he was. “We have to tell Jeonghan.”
“Soonyoung, I get the urgency, but–”
“There’s no but!” Soonyoung exploded, cutting off Seungcheol. “Those wolves could be out there right now and it’s her and Jeonghan versus who knows how many!”
“But,” the eldest alpha continued like nothing had happened, “Blue’s been caged up for who knows how long. Let her enjoy the last of her freedom for today, okay? Jeonghan’s always on hyper-alert with her. He knows the situation well enough. We’ll set a curfew after they get back, but just let them stay out for now.”
The room suddenly went from a calm meeting, to chaos. Everyone ducked their heads and covered their ears, sharp pain going straight to their eardrums. It felt like everything was shaking from how loud the shriek was. They were pretty sure they heard a second scream that was much less awful but still loud.
After a moment, it was silent except for whoever was still screaming. Jisung’s shriek cut off just a second after, his eyes opening wide after being squeezed shut.
“What the fuck!” he exclaimed.
“I think that’s our cue to go the fuck home,” Minho said, standing up.
But Seungkwan had already booked it out of the room and straight to the stairs. Jiwoo could be heard crying from Danbi and Mingyu’s bedroom, with a groggy Danbi trying to soothe her.
“Excuse me,” Seungcheol said as he stood and followed Seungkwan.
“If that’s not a sign to go find them, I don’t know what is!” Soonyoung shouted as he followed after him.
Seungcheol found Seungkwan already in Eunjin’s room, sitting on the bed beside her while she sat up straight, staring wide-eyed across the room.
“What was it?” he asked her softly, arms around her as he gently rubbed her arms up and down. “Take your time, okay?”
“Someone… A woman…” she mumbled, eyebrows starting to furrow as she slowly came back to the current plane. “She’s been around, but…she's getting more…aggressive.”
“Aggressive how?” Seungkwan wondered.
“She’s crying harder,” she told him. “She’s crying for her baby.”
The two alphas – who had been joined by Seokmin, Jihoon, and the three visiting wolves that Jihoon had invited up – looked around at each other, wondering what that could mean. The only baby in the house was Jiwoo, but she was a toddler now, and her mother was very much alive and well.
“Alright, who has dead parents that cared about them? Because it’s definitely not mine,” Soonyoung asked, looking around at everyone in the room. “So I’m safe. Rest in peace to whoever–”
“Shut up,” Jihoon grumbled, whacking him in the stomach to shut him up.
“Do you really think that’s what it is?” Seokmin wondered slowly, sounding a little worried.
“Soonyoung, go outside and do something,” Seungcheol told him. “Wait for Blue and Hannie to come back.”
Still clutching his stomach, Soonyoung walked out of the room, grumbling profanities toward Jihoon for hitting him.
While the rest of the pack tried to think of what the significance of this ghost woman could mean, Minho tried to lighten the mood and Jisung’s anxiety by smiling, lightly jabbing him in the arm and saying, “Hey, well we’re both probably safe, right?”
-
You and Jeonghan spent most of the morning in the field, up until he heard your stomach growling. He squinted up at the sun, blocking the brightness of it with his hand as he let out a sigh.
“It’s about lunchtime,” he noted. “We should head back.”
You got up without complaint, rejoining hands once you were both standing, and walked leisurely back to the house.
The two of you just did a lot of talking. After your little backstory, Jeonghan questioned your relationship with Saoirse, wondering if it was a friendship. When you explained it was more that she was just the nicest one out of all the humans there, Jeonghan then questioned if you were upset by her death if you weren’t really friends at all. That was something you couldn’t stop thinking about now. Were you upset about losing an almost-friend, or were you just uneasy knowing that someone you knew had died?
Jeonghan kept your mind occupied on the walk, though. He talked about different flowers, berries, and plants you passed, teaching you about them “just in case” as he had said.
“All the mates know survival things, for the most part,” he explained with a shrug. “Obviously, Jia wouldn’t really know how to tell things apart. And we’ve tried to teach Eunjin, but her mind is…hard to keep on track.”
Jeonghan had already gone over who the girls were. He knew you knew Kyung and Cooper were werewolves, and that Ari was a werecoyote so you trusted them. He could tell you were less wary around Jia simply for the fact she couldn’t see. You’d also shot up in bed a couple times saying you dreamt of her, but Jeonghan asked her to cool it with that because it seemed to make you more tense than anything, wondering why she then came up to you the morning after the first time it happened saying, “Wow, you’re really pretty, Blue.”
He told you Danbi was Wonwoo’s sister, insisting that basically meant she was like a werewolf without being one. Soomin was a ‘sort-of’ witch, so you shouldn’t worry about her, either. Yeji was some sort of hybrid, but he intentionally left out the curse part. Eunjin was obviously a banshee, so that’s technically not human. Jooyeon was a thief, so to others in town, she was actually considered a parasite rather than a human, and Suvi was just a harmless kid.
You knew he was reaching, but you always let him babble about them to try and convince you not to be afraid, anyway.
Once you’d reached the house after your little survival lesson, you saw the back door open. Seungcheol was standing there, waiting for the two of you with his arms crossed. To you, it seemed like he was mad. You wondered if he was upset with you for leaving without telling Jeonghan.
But with Jeonghan’s heightened senses, he could see how worried Seungcheol looked. Whatever he was going to say, it wasn’t good.
“Blue, why don’t you go with Cooper to the dining room for lunch?” he suggested with Cooper already on standby, waiting for you. “I need to talk to Jeonghan quickly, and I don’t want you to miss out on first call for the mates.”
You looked at Jeonghan, then at Cooper. You knew she wasn’t necessarily the bravest out of the werewolves, so you didn’t feel quite comfortable having her be the one to guard you while Jeonghan was busy.
“Can I go with Kyung instead?” you asked.
Cooper’s cheeks turned pink as she vanished from in front of you, and you heard Seungcheol sigh in annoyance.
Instead of looking at you, Jeonghan shot Seungcheol a sharp look as he opened his mouth. But he was cut off by someone else.
“I got it,” Soonyoung said, still offering you a friendly smile despite what happened with his mate. “C’mon, Gyu made stir fry.”
You decided Soonyoung was safe to go with since Jeonghan had told you he was an alpha, so you walked with him to go get lunch. You sat between him and an empty chair, with Suvi on the other side of the empty chair, but you decided not to make much of a fuss this time because you didn’t want to upset the humans.
Soonyoung put a plate in front of the empty space on his other side before he placed one in front of you with a smile. Once all the mates had food, then the boys dug in and grabbed their own servings. Multiple times, someone would mention to leave enough for Seungcheol and Jeonghan, and Minghao even had to take some from Mingyu’s plate once to put back on the serving platter for the two missing wolves.
About halfway through lunch, the two walked in. Jeonghan sat beside you in the empty seat, but you began to get worried maybe there was a ghost there because Soonyoung seemed to be hugging and holding hands with something that wasn’t beside him as he picked from their plate.
You didn’t ask about his conversation at the table. You waited until he brought you to the backyard to get started on his chores to ask.
“I don’t know how to tell you this…” he began slowly.
Your stomach sank, and he could tell how worried you got.
“There’ll be a few…restrictions now,” he told you.
“Like what?”
“You can’t...really…go wherever you want anymore. You should stick close to the house. And you can’t stay out for too long, or too late. And you should always be with one of the wolves, okay?”
When he looked at you, he looked almost pained to tell you. He looked sorry. You weren’t sure why. You didn’t even know why he was worried to tell you that. It wasn’t even anything bad.
You just shrugged, “Okay.”
He looked surprised, “Are you sure? I don’t want to tell you what to do, but it might not be safe considering everything.”
You scoffed, “This is still way better than where I was before.”
“Someday things will be easier, and you can do whatever you want and go wherever you want,” he smiled. “Promise.”
“You sure promise me a lot of things in the future,” you joked.
“Yeah, because you’ll still be stuck with me then,” he grinned as he wrapped his arms around your torso, holding you to him like he was trying to hold you captive, but his grip was far too light.
“That sounds more like a threat than a promise,” you laughed.
“Some consider it both.”

Previously on The Hunt:
He nods slowly at the information before handing you back the newspaper, "Do you want to go to the library and see if you can find any information?"
You're a little stunned at first, but smile after. "Yeah, it would be nice having some company."
Wonwoo stands and reaches for your hand.
As you're about to grab it, you cough. "Jesus, I forgot you were naked."
"Right… clothes first. Then library," Wonwoo scratches the back of his head, a small flush coating his cheeks.
Finally taking his hand, you smile, "clothes, then library."

Tumblr media
Pulling out a box from the shelf, you thumb through the files. Grave robbing. Looting. Missing limbs from graves. Raising a brow, you decide to take the box with you to the table where Wonwoo is sifting through a box of his own.
As you place your box on the table Wonwoo looks up at you, "Find anything interesting?"
"Some of these news articles mention missing limbs and grave robbing, figured it's a pretty good lead," you tell him with a shrug as you pull out the one that caught your eye.
Pushing up his glasses, he looks through the pages you've handed him. His finger stops trailing down the page as he pauses his search to look up at you, "You're going to Virginia?"
You hesitate before shrugging your shoulders. "I mean… It comes with the job, Woo. It's what we do."
You can barely let your eyes meet his, but when you do you notice the way his eyes lose their shine.
"How long," he pauses to clear his throat as he sets the paper back on the table.
"Probably a week? Maybe two?" You tell him as you awkwardly grip your sleeve. You've never had to deal with people worrying other than Adam, but now you're bonded. That by itself makes things complicated.
"We can, we can go home and talk about this if you want?" You tell him, stepping closer and placing a hand on his arm. You notice that your touch causes the tension in his shoulders to dissipate.
"No, no, it's okay. It's just something I will have to get used to," he gives you a small smile trying to be reassuring, but it doesn't quite reach his eyes.
You nod buying it for now, but you know you'll be thinking about this moment later.
»»————- ➴ ————-««
Time seems to go quickly as you spend the rest of the morning going over old news articles and case files, and by the time it's mid afternoon you think together you have a good claim that a ghoul is terrorizing cemeteries in Virginia.
Leaning back in your chair you stretch your arms over your head feeling the way your back cracks. A pleasant sigh leaves your lips as you slouch over the table.
Wonwoo couldn't help but notice the way your shirt rode up ever so slightly revealing the skin of your stomach to him. The wolf in him was pleased at seeing more of your skin, but he was quick to avert his eyes back to a file in front of him. Flipping the article over, he sees a new title. "Cemetery Groundskeeper Missing."
"Hey, do ghouls ever eat living people?" Wonwoo asks in a hushed whisper.
You frown slightly as you recall what you know about these monsters. "I mean it's possible… they normally scavenge for food, but it's possible that they were caught in the act or have a new acquired taste," you answer, as you begin putting the articles back in the boxes.
Wonwoo is quick to follow your lead, most likely knowing that you have more to say but can't in such a public setting.
»»————- ➴ ————-««
Stepping outside the library you glance over your shoulder before hurrying to the back of your car. Popping the trunk open you rifle through your bag looking for a journal that Adam and you had begun filling out from past hunts, and tips from other hunters. Closing the trunk you motion for Wonwoo to get in the car as you toss him the leather-bound book.
Pulling out of the parking lot you begin recalling what you know about ghouls to him.
"There's a chance that this ghoul, or ghouls, are running out of food in the cemetery," you tell him, as you turn off the main road onto the dirt path to the cabin.
Wonwoo can't help the way his eyebrows raise slightly as you begin rattling off theories.
"They aren't nocturnal at all. They just eat any chance they get, and there's a possibility that they don't want to leave whateve home or life they've set up for themselves," you glance at him from the corner of your eye before continuing, "Do you know the abilities a ghouls possess?"
Wonwoo doesn't say anything and you point to the book in his hand.
Opening the cover of the book, he sees two different writings, one that's written pretty neat and one that's definitely a man's chicken scratch. Assuming it was your partner's, he begins flipping through the pages. There's information on demon wards and exorcism. Different ghosts and their weaknesses, things like iron and salt. Wendigos classified as fast hunters that mimic human speech. Each page had a small drawing of what it looked like in folklore. Finally, after flipping a few more pages, he came across the ghoul, a creature that scavenged its food from the flesh and blood of deceased humans. Scanning the page, he reads, "Consuming the flesh of the dead allows them to shapeshift into that person, can be living or dead. Some say that the memories of the eaten are passed onto the ghoul."
Wonwoo can't stop his lip from curling in disgust as he reads more about them. Enhanced strength, agility, and speed. How lovely… Weaknesses - decapitation or blunt force damage to the brain.
He shifts in his seat to face you, "You're not seriously going to go after this thing are you?"
You keep your gaze on the road, but your knuckles tighten ever so slightly on your steering wheel, "Truthfully, I don't know. Hunting alone isn't something I've done in a long time."
Wonwoo sits back in his chair feeling uneasy as nerves dance about his body.
The remainder of the trip home is spent in silence.
»»————- ➴ ————-««
Sitting at the kitchen table you can't help but chew at the skin of your thumb, a nervous tick you thought you had dropped years ago.
"Y'know, you shouldn't pick at your skin like that," Mingyu says, gently pulling your hand away from your mouth and sets a cup of tea in front of you.
"Oh, sorry, and thank you," you tell him, wrapping your hands around the mug.
Pulling out the chair in front of you, Mingyu takes a seat. "Do you want to talk about it?" He asks, lifting his own mug to his lips.
You can't help but eye the tall wolf in front of you before glancing out the backdoor.
Taking a guess he asks, "Does it have to do with your mate?"
You can't help but shrink in your seat slightly as he hits the nail on the head.
"What about?" He prods, noticing that it might take some effort to get you to talk.
"He's worried about what I do for a living. You know… hunting, especially alone," you whisper. You're not sure why you whispered, or maybe it's as if you spoke it out loud then it might hold some truth to it.
Mingyu nods and the two of you fall into silence for a minute before he speaks again.
"You know, werewolves have a huge need to protect what's theirs. Especially if it's their mate. But I'm not saying that as if you're a possession of Wonwoo, more like it's a need to want and protect you from danger. He's probably pretty nervous about not being able to be there with you if something were to go wrong."
You suck your teeth for a second before asking a new question, "Is the need to protect a loved one that strong?"
Again, Mingyu nods, "A pack mate is one thing, but a person you are soul bound to is another."
"Soul bound, huh," you murmur.
Standing from his chair, Mingyu tells you, "Y'never know, maybe he'd prefer if he could go with you."
You can't help but watch him walk out the back door to join his brothers, as you're left thinking about what choices you need to make. And they need to be made sooner rather than later.

DK/Seokmin is the son of apollo. He has a beautiful voice, he can play the guitar and his smile is as bright as the sun. he is an amazing archer, he is quite handsome and is a huge crackhead.

He is usually found chilling near the cabin and sometimes vibing with the apollo cabin.
He uses a spear or javelin, the back is made with steel and the front is made of Celestial Bronze.

─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Chan is the son of Nike, he is the fastest demigod thanks to his mother, he is competitive and insanely driven. He only aims for victory because his mother is the personification of victory.
He uses a staff, that is expandable and the hits can range up to 25 miles from his current position, it goes both up and down and also, back and forth.

JEWELS WITHIN; a wolf story pt.3
Tumblr media
Pairing - Kwon Soonyoung (Hoshi) x 6 year old!oc x fem!reader (you don’t show up until later chapters though)
Part 1 Part 2
Warnings - werewolf au, cold!soonyoung, cursing, hoshi using nicknames for his little sister (baby, honey, etc), 1 word is in caps, angst (my heart is aching writing this) hana has separation anxiety, bipolar!josh (he can get so soft and then be an ass but we all know he cares <33), Soonyoung overthinks… a lot in this part.
Word count - ? (I’m sorry I do this on mobile and it’s so hard to get a word count. 😭)
Summary - After being rejected by his mother at birth and parents murdered by hunters, soonyoung is faced with the responsibility of raising his little sister alone… until he finds you.
Notes: fonts are used at random times, as always. Towards the end we get the side of Jeongsoo’s story! (His father) but other than that italics will usually always be for Soonyoung when he thinks!
Soonyoung has always been faced with difficult decisions.
Whether it was him figuring out the food him and his sister would eat during the day, or where they would sleep.
Honestly it was just plain difficult.
Raising a child by yourself is not the easiest task at hand, especially when you have nowhere to go, nowhere to be warm other than a fire made out of wood and rocks.
So Joshua asking him to stay after bitching for so long? It was a hard decision to make. Why? Because you never can be too careful, who knows if he’s acting and will do something?
He would be lying if he plain out said he wasn’t nervous, because he was. All he ever wants is to give his sister the best life, a life that’s not living rough and needing to fight to survive.
She’s only 6 for crying out loud, but at the end of the day, he’d do anything for her, no matter if she screams her heart out in the morning singing her favorite songs, or just talking about whatever nonsense children love to speak about. Because she’s his sister.
Please stay.
These two words have been ringing in Soonyoung’s ears for so long with eyes empty and dazed out.
Could he trust these people- werewolves. Could he trust these werewolves? Sure he stayed the night here, but staying? That’s something he immediately starting flooding his thoughts with what if’s on things that may or may not happen.
One being what if they want Hana and take her while he’s sleeping?
No… he’s smarter than that he’d can make sure that wouldn’t happen, easy.
But what if they poison him or her? What if they put wolfsbane in the food!? Or… or the air… the water?
“Hoshi!” A voice called out. What if he can’t smell anything because they put something in the house’s air that took his senses away but not theirs!?
No… that’s not possible.
What if they’re teamed up with hunters?? Or what if they hate rogues so much they truly want to kill them?! “Hosh! Hosh!” The voice called out again.
Soonyoung was overthinking so much he completely blurred out everything around him (which he’ll blame himself for not paying attention and letting his mind off guard for watching Hana.)
But what if… “HOSHIIIII!!” The voice yelled, bringing Soonyoung out of his overthinking mind. “H-huh? Oh.” He said looking down at Hana who was calling his name and looked at him with big eyes.
“I think you should accept his offer! He looks really nice now! And we wouldn’t have to live in a cave anymore!” The little girl says happily. “I can’t just accept his offer Hana! This is a huge choice to make and-“
“You don’t have to accept. I understand, I mean I was an ass and now I’m switching up, but I’m being as sincere as I can be when I say I want you to stay, I know what you two are going through… and I’m not saying that out of empathy.” He says with a dry laugh, walking towards the kitchen door leaving Soonyoung with a anticipating Hana.
Looks like Mr Anger has some secrets yet to be told…
“I understand that being outcasted and living such a heard life can bring trust issues… but you really can trust us! I mean something inside of you allowed both you and your sister to stay the night here, maybe a week or so until you find something else wouldn’t hurt Soonyoung.” Aria says, looking at Soonyoung with a small smile.
“How would you understand? I’m sure you’ve never lived a hard day in your life.” Soonyoung says coldly. “We aren’t outcasts.” He scoffs. “But that’s how you see all rogues huh? Can’t blame you. But we’re not outcasts.” He says, shaking his head and thinning his lips into a straight line as he looks down at his sister.
“Do you want to stay here? Is that what you really want?” He says softly.
“Yes! I will be so happy!” The little girl says, giving a big convincing smile up at her brother who sighs. “Fine, we’ll stay but only for a week, then we’re leaving.” He says sternly.
“Great! You won’t regret it… I hope.” Aria says looking down towards the floor.
“Anyways! Are you both hungry? Anything you want specifically?” She says trying to change up the mood. “Whatever you make is fine… thanks.” Soonyoung says picking up Hana and sitting her on his hip as he follow the shorter girl into the kitchen where Joshua sits eating his already made breakfast.
“I want some pancakes please!” Hana says clapping her hands, still wearing that big smile on her face. “Do you ever stop smiling?” Joshua asks with furrowed eyebrows. “Of course not sir! Smiling is great to do! It can make others happy!” Hana squeaks out. “I also love smiling cause-“ she tried to explain further. “Hana be quiet, you don’t have to give him any reason.” He cuts her off. “He’s just upset he can’t do the same.” Soonyoung says with a snicker.
“Don’t forget who’s letting you stay here. I could make you get out right now.” Joshua says glaring at Soonyoung. “We both know you won’t do it.” Soonyoung starts. “You’re little ‘i know what it feels like’ speech says it all… if it was even true.” Soonyoung says lazily. Making Joshua stand up.
“Of course it was true! God is that what people see me as? Someone who would lie about that?!” He yells making Hana flinch. “Baby…” Aria says moving towards Joshua.
“I don’t know? Lots of people like to lie their way out of things by using a hard core background of a life for an excuse, you can’t blame me for saying what I said.” Soonyoung says in a matter of fact tone.
Joshua just scoffs and leaves the kitchen.
What’s his deal this morning…
“He uh… gets like this sometimes… or a lot but! Don’t worry about it he really doesn’t mean any harm.” Aria tries to explain. “It’s all good. Hey do you know where I’d get a job application from?” He asks suddenly making Aria look at him from behind the counter.
“Well… actually, I work at a bar and maybe I could help you get a position there.” She says putting a hand to her mouth as she thinks.
Her? Working at a bar? Didn’t see that coming.
“Didn’t think you would be the type.” He mumbles. “What type?” She asks with a tilt to her head. “To work at a bar, you know, you just don’t look like you’d be in that setting.”
“Oh! Yeah I mean you’re right, It’s definitely not but it pays well… so how about after breakfast we can go down there? You can check it out and see if you like it there.” She says with a smile on her face, turning back around to finish the food.
“Sure, that would be great.” He says with a monotone. “Hosh?” Hana says grabbing the attention of the older boy. “Hm.” He says looking at her. “What’s a job? And what’s a bar?” She asks looking up at her brother with a semi opened mouth in question.
“A job is where someone goes to get money, which is what I really need for us to get our own place, with food and get you the things you need.” He says, not bothering to answer the girl’s other question.
“What about a bar?” She asks.
Kids sure don’t quit until they get an answer huh?
Soonyoung just sits staring into the table not answering his sisters question.
Hana on the other hand, realizing her brother won’t reply to her question. She asks the girl In front of them. “Miss what’s a bar?! Do you eat it?” She asks. While Soonyoung burns a hole into the back of Aria’s head with his eyes hoping she won’t tell Hana the truth.
He wants Hana to be away from all these kinds of things, she’s too young, she doesn’t need to know what a bar is.
“You can call me Aria honey, a bar is when people gather around and play games and have a good time!” She tries explaining it in the best kid friendly way as she could.
“Games!? I wanna go! Take me, take me!” She pleads to Soonyoung. “No.” Is all that he says. “You’re no fun hoshi! Aria would take me! Right Ria?” She says, using a nickname that made Aria’s heart swell.
“I’m so sorry sweetheart, but you can’t go until you get just a little older! Plus… it’s not as fun if you’re small, it’s harder to have fun there!” She says softly. “Breakfast is ready!here’s the pancakes for the little princess! I hope you like them, I made them with love.” She says laughing a little.
“Here’s your breakfast… hoshi.” She says trying to be playful. “Don’t call me that.” Soonyoung says glaring at her. “Oh.. I just-“ She tries explaining. “Only Hana calls me that and I’d like to keep it that way.” He says. “We aren’t friends, we’re merely guests and I don’t need you calling me nicknames. He says shaking his head.
“I’m sorry…” Aria says quietly. “It’s okay ria.” Hana mouths to her, making her smile sadly.
Why is she sad? He’s kind of right… we aren’t friends, we don’t know him, or the child. They’re merely just guests that we don’t need to get close to other than helping them.
Right?
“I’m done eating.” Soonyoung says leaving the kitchen table with a quiet thank you.
“He barely ate anything…” Aria says looking at his plate. “He doesn’t eat a lot, I try telling him to eat but he don’t listen!” Hana says throwing her tiny arms into the air with an eye roll making Aria laugh.
“The bar is approximately 15 minutes away from this house, and 30 minutes if you try walking.” Aria explains as she gets ready for work. “Okay.” Soonyoung says watching her get ready as he just had his shoes on- which were new ones as Aria snuck into Joshua’s room to get a pair.
Not like the guy would notice anyways. He has to many shoes… unless he keeps track of all of his shoes and he’ll tell her off later after work.
She cringes just at the thought.
“Where’s a place that Hana can go? I have to drop her off close to this job.” Soonyoung says looking around the house since he never really payed attention to it.
“Huh? A place to drop her off? There isn’t one, she’s gonna stay here with Joshua and some other of the pack members here.” She says as if it was the most obvious thing.
As soon as he heard this information he started to panic on the inside. Hana? Alone? That simply wouldn’t do… she’s never been alone, ever. Sure for a small moment when he has to go get food for the two of them
But actually by herself? With random people? No.
“I change my mind, I don’t want to do it.” He quickly says. “What? Why?” She asks with furrowed eyebrows.
“I can’t leave my sister here alone are you crazy!? She’s never been alone before, plus all these people? I won’t allow it. It wouldn’t work out-“ He says in a rush, not even realizing he was showing his panicked side.
“Soonyoung, just calm down, please? You’re sister will be fine. The others here will absolutely adore her. They’d never do anything to hurt her.” Aria says trying to reason with him.
“But what if-“ He tries protesting. “She’ll be fine.” Aria says looking into his eyes with a smile.
“Okay.” He sighs, giving in… for once.
-
Leaving Hana alone was a pure nightmare come true. Even if it was for a few hours advance, his baby, his sunshine, his Everything would be alone… without him.
Without him to check up on her every second, annoying her with his singing (which he also knows it’s what helps her sleep at night, although she won’t admit it.) for all the 6 years they’ve spent together roaming around trees and going from shelter to shelter.
Hana never knew what it was like to live without her brother next to her, it was no doubt she would react badly to the news her protecter had to leave for half the day.
“You’re leaving me?! Why?! I know I was a bad girl last night and I’m sorry! I.. I didn’t mean it!” Hana sobbed from the depths of her heart.
Soonyoung had broke the news to her that he’d be leaving for a few hours and now she thinks he’s mad at her.
He was definitely expecting this reaction.
“What? No! It’s only for a few hours baby, I promise and it’s not about last night, okay? I have to go.” He said trying to blink away the tears that wanted to come through.
“B-but i don’t want you to go. I want you to stay with me.” She hiccups. “I know… I know honey and I’ll be back so fast you wouldn’t even know I was gone! You’re safe here yeah? I wouldn’t leave you unless I knew you were safe, you know that right?” He says rubbing his hand over her hair.
“I know! But why do you have to go? Just stay here!” She says in a whines. “It’s not that easy to explain Hana, but it’ll just be a few hours, okay? I swear to you.” He promises.
Should he have told her that he’s looking for a job? Perhaps, but that would lead her asking questions about it and pushing it.
He has to go. He made it his life mission -quite literally- to make sure he can give his sister everything possible in life.
His father wanted him to be the one who protected her. Not that he had any other choice in the moment, but still, he would want her with Soonyoung anyways.
***
Jeongsoo knew from the moment he brought Hana home, Soonyoung would not only love her and do anything to the extent.
But he also knew he would be taking care of her for the rest of his life.
Yes, he knew that the hunters would come find them eventually, he knew him and his wife would be killed.
He knew.
He never did anything because he wanted to have his last longing moments with his daughter and son for as long as he could hold onto. Even if it was overnight.
It wasn’t easy accepting the fact his life was going to be taken away from his children, he despised it. But what could he do?
If he tried getting protection or help it would lead to people knowing more about it, he couldn’t have that happen.
Jeongsoo was a very smart man, he could sense when things were going to arise, he could feel the atmosphere change when something was being planned.
Which is also how he knew that Soonyoung would be okay, he was gonna have to mature quickly and of course, it was going to be the hardest moments of his life to come.
He’d figure it out though, he always has figured things out, even if it may be messy, he’ll know what to do. Just like his father taught him.
He never liked the idea of having his kids live the same life he did.
Jeongsoo was guilty, though. The requirement of leaving his children in the world the way he must?
No parent ever wants to do that, unless it’s for a reason, which of course he had.
Things can be so hard sometimes.
Oh Hoshi… you won’t be alone for long…
I’ll make sure of it.

Blood Moon
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
🌙 staring. Seungcheol x afab!Reader
🔮 preview. “You know,” Cheol’s lips are feverish against your skin, and he kisses from your collarbone to your breasts, his hot breath driving you wild, “in some cultures, the blood moon is a sign that the moon needs to be worshiped.” His hand moves between your legs, deft fingers rubbing you through your panties while he lets out another groan of need. “Werewolves worship the moon,” he continues. “It’s what makes us who we are, but after I met you…” his other hand tears the front of your dress down, and his teeth graze by your nipple, “let’s just say, you’re all that matters to me now. And I’m going to worship you as if you were the moon.”

Tumblr media
Seungcheol’s never been the type of alpha to question his subordinates, but on blood moons, his control goes out the window. When he’d announced during the formation of his pack that he’d be taking on two lesser alphas, and their preexisting betas, some elder wolves had called him crazy. They’d said it was just a matter of time till Jihoon or Soonyoung made an act to overthrow him, but in the eight years since then, Seungcheol’s never truly had any cause to suspect insurrection of any sort.
However this year, things are different. This year, he’s made another risky move that’s been questioned by wolves in and outside of his own pack.
This year, he’d fallen for a human, someone outside any of the strong wolf bloodlines, and he’d taken you as his own. His bite had transformed you into the beta you are now, and he can tell, as you approach him with eyes following your every move, that some of his pack members are still not very happy about it.
Soonyoung, in particular, makes no move to hide his gaze. He looks you up and down, and Seungcheol can even see a flash of his tongue darting out to wet his lips, a hungry spark in his eyes.
“You look upset,” you note, finally making it to your alpha’s side by the bonfire, its flames licking the night sky and casting pretty shadows across your features.
“Is it that obvious?” Seungcheol groans, wrapping an arm around your body while he adjusts the red solo cup in his hand.
“You always wear your heart on your sleeve, Cheol,” you muse, leaning closer to him. “Do you want to tell me what’s wrong?”
The alpha lets out a sigh, giving one last warning look to Soonyoung before his gaze dips to focus on you. “Can I tell you something about blood moons?”
“Please,” you nod. “I'd love to hear more, especially from you.”
He’s always enjoyed how eager you are to learn about the ways of the wolves, it’s one of the things that had drawn him to you, and he loves teaching you his culture even more.
“Ancient peoples believed the blood moon was a sort of omen, something that predicted the death or overthrow of a king.”
“I see,” you smile, leaning up to press your lips to the underside of his jaw. “You’re worried someone might have a stupid idea tonight about taking you on as alpha.”
“Others thought that blood moons were a time to explore your dark side. To dive deeper into hidden emotions like rage,” he explains further. “I think we both know that some members of my pack are still harbouring a grudge against me for my actions this year.”
“They’ll get over it,” you assure him. “And if they don’t, what’s anyone going to do about it? No one here can best you, they’d be stupid to try.”
Seungcheol knows that. Aside from being a force to be reckoned with all by himself, Seungcheol’s inner circle includes Mingyu, one of the biggest wolves he’s ever seen. Even if Soonyoung was to pick a fight with Seungcheol, backed up by Minghao, Dino and Jun, they’d never be able to overtake both him and Mingyu.
Regardless of these facts, your calming words do nothing on his restless mind. Blood moons have always been a time of heightened emotional energy, especially for the wolves so connected to the lunar force.
Instead of saying anything else, Cheol simply pulls you closer, hoping that your presence in his arms is enough to stop him from doing anything rash.
Tumblr media
When you realize Seungcheol’s cup is empty, you break away from his side, giving the alpha a kiss that lingers before you head off to get more liquor. You’ve been feeling how tense your mate is all night, and you hope that another drink might soothe what you’re unable to.
As you walk up the beach, you notice the sound of someone following you. While you’re still getting used to heightened wolf senses, you’re conscious enough to note that the footfalls are lighter than your lumbering alphas, and you don’t dare look behind you to check who your new shadow is.
You’re safe enough on this beach with the pack around you, and despite Seungcheol’s obvious agitation and paranoia, you’d meant it when you’d told him people would be stupid to try anything tonight.
When you reach the camping table housing all the booze, you move calmly, reaching for the aged bottle of bourbon that Seungcheol loves. Your shadow takes the opportunity to make himself known, stepping next to you and reaching for his own can of beer.
“You look good tonight,” Soonyoung says, opening his drink and turning to look at you.
“Thank you,” you smile, trying to be respectful to the alpha. “I know it’s a blood moon, but it still felt fitting to wear white, besides, Seungcheol loves this dress.”
“I can see why.” Soonyoung’s eyes move down and then back up, focusing on your breasts for a few seconds while you continue to prepare your mate’s bourbon. “You know, when we heard Cheol had found himself a human to dote on, lots of us wondered why he didn’t just go for some juicy omega. But, seeing you tonight, I can see you might be even tastier than the other girls that used to fawn over him.”
You take a breath, screwing the lid back onto the bottle of bourbon before setting it down and turning to look at Soonyoung. You know he’s trying to get a rise out of you, but you won’t give him that satisfaction.
“Do you have something else to say to me, Soonyoung?”
“Just that…” he licks his lips, leaning closer to you. “I know you don’t come from our world, so it’s not like you had your pick of alphas, and I just figured, maybe there might be a better match for you than him.”
“A better match,” you repeat his words. “Like you?”
Soonyoung shrugs, flashing a grin. “You’d never know till you give me a chance to prove myself.”
“All things considered, I think you’re pretty lucky I was born human.”
“Really?” His grin widens. “And why’s that, gorgeous?”
“Because if I was an omega, I’d run off and tell Cheol about this and he’d kill you tonight.”
The smirk drops from Soonyoung’s face, and he stares you down. “Cheol wouldn’t choose you over me.”
You sigh. “If you’re willing to bet your life on that, I can always go ask him right now.” Soonyoung stays quiet and you nod. “That’s what I thought. I’d say it’s been nice talking with you, but we both know that would be a lie. Have a good night, Soonyoung.”
You pick up your drink and walk away.
This time, the alpha doesn’t follow.
No matter how safe you feel amongst the pack, it’s still something of a relief when you make it to Seungcheol’s side again.
He looks at you with concern, taking the cup from your hands so he can wrap a protective arm around your body, pulling you tight to his chest. “You were gone a while,” he notes. “Is everything okay?”
“Yeah,” you nod. It’s a small white lie, but you truly believe Seungcheol would tear Soonyoung in two if you tell him what just took place, so you avoid disclosure. What Seungcheol doesn’t know can’t hurt him… or Soonyoung. “I was just thinking…” you continue, tracing a finger up the front of your mate’s black v-neck, “I know I’m not generally someone who’s too fond of public displays of aggression and ownership, but… if there was ever a night to prove I belong to you, it would be tonight.”
Seungcheol blinks at you, swallowing thickly while he considers your proposition. His gaze dips to where your breasts are pressed against his chest, and you can feel his cock beginning to harden where it’s trapped in his pants between your bodies. “So you want me to take you right here?” he asks. “On the beach? In front of everyone?”
“Cheol,” you laugh, pressing a kiss to his jaw, “that’s a bit much. I was thinking… we could go to the parking lot where your car is. It’s close enough that people will be able to hear, but far enough that I’d still be comfortable. After all, if I’m yours and only yours, my body should be for your eyes only.”
“I’m not sure where this came from,” Seungcheol admits. “But you know I could never say no to you. Let’s get out of here, princess, because if we don’t, I am going to fuck you on this beach where everyone can see.”
You tug out of his embrace, flashing him a mischievous smile. “Okay alpha, then you better chase me.”
You turn on your heel in the sand, bolting towards the grassy parking lot while other members of his pack watch you. It feels like freedom to be running through the cool night air under the blood moon, and you can hear your alpha’s footfalls as he chases you.
He could catch you in a second, you both know that, but he’s purposefully moving slower than you, letting you be exhilarated by the idea of a chase. You know it turns him on as much as you, and you giggle to yourself at the naughtiness of it all.
Cheol has always brought out your wild side, even when you were human, and now, you get to revel in the primal attraction, the push and pull with the alpha that’s shown you the world, and now, the blood moon.
You marvel at the new strength of your body, the way you can make it to the parking lot, which is a couple hundred meters down the beach, without even being very winded.
The moment you reach the vehicle, Seungcheol’s hot body is pressing against your back, boxing you against his large, black truck with both hands on either side of you. “God, you’re so fucking hot,” he groans, rubbing his cock against your ass.
“I could say the same about you,” you gasp, turning so you can face him. “My big sexy alpha-”
He’s kissing you the moment the words leave you, and you tangle your hands through his dark hair tugging him closer while his mouth works against your own. He tastes like bourbon, and something about it turns you on even more. Your mate’s teeth drag across your lower lip and you let out a groan, lifting your thigh to wrap around his waist.
“Cheol,” you whimper, taking a breather as he moves his mouth to your neck, finding your sweet spot and making you moan again. “I need you-”
With a growl, the alpha picks you up, fingers digging into your ass as he moves around to the back of his truck. You begin to kiss his throat as he gets the front panel open, and then he hoists you up to rest you on it.
His hands find your thighs, pushing your white dress up and grabbing at your flesh.
“Just fuck me-” you plead, knowing your panties are already soaked. Cheol just does things to you, and you wish he’d do more.
“You know,” Cheol’s lips are feverish against your skin, and he kisses from your collar bone to your breasts, his hot breath driving you wild, “in some cultures, the blood moon is a sign that the moon needs to be worshiped.”
His hand moves between your legs, deft fingers rubbing you through your panties while he lets out another groan of need.
“Werewolves worship the moon,” he continues. “It’s what makes us who we are, but after I met you…” his other hand tears the front of your dress down, and his teeth graze by your nipple, “let’s just say, you’re all that matters to me now. And I’m going to worship you as if you were the moon.”
“Fuck, alpha-” you whimper, throwing your head back while he begins to suck on your nipple, applying more pressure to your clit with the hands you adore so much.
“That’s right,” Cheol growls, “I’m your alpha. Your only alpha. And I’m going to take care of you, like you deserve.”
“Please, I need it-”
“You need it?” His hair brushes by your chest, and then he pulls back just enough to look up at you, pushing your panties to the side so two of his large fingers can slip into your soaked core. “Tell me what you need, princess, alpha will give it to you.”
“You know what I need,” you whine.
“I want to hear you say it.”
You let out a sound of frustration, tangling your hands in Seungcheol’s hair. Then you push his head down, and your mate begins to laugh at you, his fingers picking up speed as they work to open your core.
“I said use your words,” he tuts, “not push me around.”
“I need you to worship me,” you tell him, “the way only you can.”
“That’s more like it,” he hums, satisfied as his hot kisses begin to move down your body.
He pulls his fingers out of your pussy and you whine loudly at the loss, but he needs his hands to push your dress up. He uses his teeth to tear your panties down, and you whimper at the feeling of him, watching him while unmatched lust burns through you.
“I’m going to keep these for myself,” he says, pocketing your panties before he spreads your legs, forcing you to fall backward against the bed of his truck, your elbows cushioning your fall and propping you up.
“Alpha,” you moan, a shiver running through you when he begins to kiss your thigh, working closer and closer to where you need him most.
“Fuck,” he groans, placing a kiss on your pussy that has you squealing with delight. “I love the sounds you make.” Your mate looks up at you with dark, dilated pupils. “You really do want everyone to hear this, don’t you, princess?”
The thought excites you more than it ever has before, and Seungcheol grins while watching you. “That’s what I thought. Who’s my dirty girl?”
“I am,” you gasp when his thumb comes up to play with your clit.
“You’re dripping, princess,” Cheol notes. “Just the way I like it.”
He’s forcing his head between your thighs a moment later, tongue lapping the length of your pussy and making you cry out into the night air. Your hands fly down to grab onto his hair, and your alpha growls, the vibration running through your clit and causing you to pant while his tongue invades your wet hole.
“Oh my god-” you whimper, wiggling your hips in an attempt to get more-
His palm lands on your lower abdomen and he forces you down. It’s crazy how much strength he has in just one hand, and you find yourself completely pinned to the bed of his truck while he eats you out like he’s a starving man.
The sounds coming from between your legs are absolutely lewd, not only can you hear your soaked pussy and his wet tongue, but he’s moaning loudly, thoroughly enjoying working you up the way only he knows how.
“Alpha,” you whimper desperately, already aching from how close you are.
Cheol lets out another groan, the vibrations making your legs twitch as you teeter on the edge of pleasure. “I’m gonna cum-” you gasp, tightening your grip on his hair so he can’t pull away.
But Seungcheol has no intention of pulling away. In fact, he presses his face even deeper into your pussy, lapping at you and licking- then his lips suction around your clit and you’re a complete gonner.
A scream leaves your mouth, your eyes clenching shut as your orgasm overtakes you.
Seungcheol has given you great orgasms before, mind altering, earth shattering orgasms- but nothing has ever been like this. Your brain goes completely blank as the feeling of absolute ecstasy overwhelms your body, bringing tears to your eyes while he continues to worship your core with an expert tongue.
“Alpha,” you whimper, overstimulated by his mouth alone.
Cheol finally lets up, pulling away from your pussy and taking a deep breath. You can feel him exhale against you, and it causes you to twitch from stimulation. You go to close your legs while Seungcheol straightens and looks down at you, but his hands are quick to pry them open.
“You think I’m done with you?” he laughs. “Nice try princess, but I’m not anywhere near being done yet.”
His thumb finds your clit again and your whole body jolts at the contact, your thighs threatening to close-
Seungcheol pushes them open again, letting out a growl. “You better keep these legs wide for me, princess, and take what your alpha is giving you.”
You mewl in response, whimpering when two of his digits enter your core again. “I had you on my tongue, and now I’m going to give you my fingers before I split you open with my cock. How does that sound?”
“Like heaven,” you whisper, closing your eyes to enjoy the feeling of his large fingers moving in and out of you slowly.
“That’s my girl,” Seungcheol grins, eyes focusing between your legs. “You have no fucking clue how sexy you are.”
You groan at the praise. You’ve always loved how Seungcheol takes his time with you, verbalizing his attraction and always making you feel like the only girl in the entire universe.
When you’d been a part of the human world, you’d heard stories about alpha wolves with harems of girls, omegas, that are even shared amongst packs. Cheol had changed your entire perception of his kind, and he’d even talked you into joining him, although… it hadn’t taken much persuasion on his part.
“Look at you, clenching on my fingers when I talk nice,” Cheol lets out a laugh. “You really are my little praise princess, aren’t you, sweetheart?”
“Yes, alpha,” you nod, moaning as his fingers pick up their pace inside of you.
“I want to watch you cum again,” he tells you. “I love watching you lose control.”
“Then make me cum,” you whisper. “Make me scream.”
Seungcheol grins. “You’ve got it, princess.”
He strokes his fingers up, finding the spot inside of you that always makes your toes curl. His other hand finds your lower abdomen, pinning you down, and you know exactly what he’s going to do next.
Your alpha mate has always had a thing for making your pussy soaked, and he’s an expert at getting you there with his fingers. No man has ever made you squirt like Seungcheol has, and no man ever will again.
“Alpha,” you whimper as his digits begin to apply more pressure to your g-spot, and you grab at the strong forearm of the hand pinned to your abdomen, needing an anchor, any anchor, so you don’t simply fly away off the bed of his truck to float through cloud nine.
“That’s it,” Seungcheol groans. “Listen to how wet your pretty pussy is.”
You love how you can hear yourself, love how you can already feel wetness between your legs as Seungcheol’s fingers work their magic. You’re a moaning mess now, and when your mate commands, “rub your clit for me,” you can hardly refuse.
Your shaky digits find your most sensitive spot, and now you can feel even more fluid gushing out of you as pleasure erupts through your form.
“Just like that, pretty girl,” Seungcheol praises you. “You’re always so fucking good for me.”
Squirting isn’t like regular orgasms, it’s a slow pressure in the pit of your stomach that builds as his fingers continue roughly inside of you, until you’re twitching and gasping and crying out. You can’t carry on with your clit, all you can do is grab at Cheol’s forearm again, taking what he gives you until he’s satisfied.
“Look at you fucking cum,” Seungcheol groans, watching you writhe on the bed of his truck while you gush around his fingers.
You’re crying again, and you can feel wet hot tears rolling down your cheeks, but you’d never tell him to stop. Not when you know you’ll be rewarded as soon as he’s had enough, as soon as he loses his own control and has to fuck you.
“Shit, princess,” Seungcheol growls, pulling his digits out of your core. “My turn.”
He grabs you with both hands, and you can feel your wetness on your skin from the fingers that had just been inside of you. In one rough motion, he pulls you off the bed of the truck, and a small scream or surprise escapes you.
Your legs feel like jelly, but your mate is quick to turn you around, forcing your upper body to lay over the front panel and bed of his truck. You hear the clink of his belt as he undoes it with expert fingers, and then he lifts up your dress. In one solid motion, he slides his whole cock into you, taking your breath away as you gasp and claw your hands against the cool metal truck frame.
“Fuck, you feel so fucking good,” Seungcheol groans, his fingers digging into your hips as he holds still for a moment, letting you feel his massive cock stretching you out. “So wet and perfect.”
At this point, you can hardly think, let alone respond with words. The most you can do is moan loudly, pushing your ass back in an attempt to get him deeper-
“That’s right, princess,” the alpha laughs. “You’re so desperate to be fucked, aren’t you?”
“Yes, alpha-”
“Then I guess I better deliver.” He pulls almost all the way out of you before slamming back in, his hips making an audible slap against your ass while your whine of pleasure rings through the night.
“Alpha?” you whimper, a dirty, sinful, wonderful thought popping into your mind.
“Yes, princess?” He ruts into you harder, finding a brutal pace that has the entire truck rocking with each powerful thrust.
“Do you-” you choke back a moan, “Do you think… if you bred me during a blood moon… do you think it would make our pups strong alphas like you?”
“Fuck,” Seungcheol groans loudly, fingers digging harder against your hips as his motions get even wilder. “You want me to breed you, princess?”
“God, yes!” you cry, pussy fluttering at the mere idea of it.
Your mate lets out a growl, fucking you so hard and deep you can feel him everywhere. He’s all consuming. You’ve practically forgotten that he’s fucking you on a car with his pack so closeby- all that matters is him right now, and what he can give you.
“Want me to fill you up until you’re practically bursting with my cum?”
“Yes, alpha-” you moan desperately, closing your eyes as you press your cheek against the cool metal truck bed.
“Want me to knot you? Spread you open so you’re ruined for anyone else?”
You’re already ruined for anyone else, and you both know it. Although you’ve been with Seungcheol for five months, you’ve never helped him through a rut, as having babies has never been something either of you particularly wanted-
But now? Now you want him, you want his knot. You want it so desperately you feel the need from the tips of your fingers to the tips of your toes.
“God, yes, please- make me yours forever,” you cry. “I’m yours alpha, forever yours-”
“Fuck, princess,” Seungcheol groans. “I need to see you.”
He pulls his cock from your aching core and you whine at the loss, only for him to grab you and throw you on the grassy ground next to the truck. He’s never been this rough before, and you’re slightly winded, but then he’s on top of you, sliding back into your core while his lips find yours.
You moan into the kiss, wrapping your arms around his strong shoulders and your legs around his hips, anchoring him to you while he fucks you into the ground.
You don’t care about the grass, or even the bits of sand you feel against your back. You’re so completely focused on Cheol-
“I’m going to mark you again,” Seungcheol tells you, voice low as his lips move to your neck.
The first time he’d bitten you, claimed you as his own, and turned you into a wolf like him, it had been a euphoric sensation, and your toes curl in anticipation. He’d marked you on your left side, but tonight, he goes for the right, and you realize he’s intent on there being no mistake who you belong to. That you’re taken.
“Fuck, you want me to bite you, don’t you, princess?” He groans, breath hot against your skin. “You’re squeezing me like a fucking vice-”
“Alpha, please-” you whimper, needing him more than you’ve ever needed anything in your entire life.
You don’t have to beg again, because you feel his sharp teeth grazing your throat a moment later. You hold tightly onto his broad shoulders, bracing yourself for the pleasured pain that shoots through you as he digs his fangs into your flesh.
“Alpha-” you cry desperately, digging your fingers into his shoulders as he bites deeper, ensuring a scar that will last a lifetime.
You can feel the base of his cock swelling inside of you, and the feeling is foreign, wonderful. It’s a new kind of stretch, and it leaves you gasping, opening your eyes to look up at the blood moon.
This is right. You know that.
“Alpha, I’m gonna cum,” you whisper, holding him tightly as your orgasm builds and builds, spurred on by the teeth still digging into your skin. It’s a perfect kind of pain, a pain only he can provide, and it leaves you breathless as you tip over the edge.
Your aching core clamps down on Seungcheol’s length, and you cry out at the feeling of his knot now fully grown inside of you-
Your mate lets out a growl, and a moment later you feel his cum coating your insides, filling you up like you’ve never been filled before. He can hardly thrust anymore, his knot too big to move inside of you, but you don’t mind. You think if he fucks you any longer, you might truly pass out from the pleasure.
Seungcheol releases your throat, pulling back to look down at you. You can see your blood on his mouth. When you’d been human, blood had been something scary, something dirty, but now that you’re a wolf, it’s inviting, and you wrap your hand around the back of his neck, pulling his lips to your own.
He groans, tongue dancing across yours while the metallic taste of your own blood washes over you.
With him buried balls deep in your pussy in the grass next to his truck with his pack nearby, his knot keeping him locked inside of you, and the taste of your own blood on his tongue- you think this might be the dirtiest, most sinful thing the two of you have ever done, but you can’t bring yourself to care.
There’s no shame, only acceptance, and an understanding in the back of your mind that you’ve reached your most primal peak. That this is how things are meant to be for wolves, and you are now truly a part of that.
You feel certain that after tonight, no one will ever question you as his mate again, and the thought fills you with an indescribable warmth.
“Cheol,” you whisper, breaking the kiss to catch your breath. “I love you, so, so much.”
Your mate laughs softly, pushing some hair out of your face while he looks down at you. “I love you too, princess. More than you can even imagine.”
The two of you catch your breath, holding each other close like the young lovers you are, and you slowly feel the knot inside of you begin to die down.
When Cheol is finally able to pull out of you, he sits up on his knees, tucking his cock back into his jeans before running a hand through his hair.
He’s silhouetted against the night sky and the moon, and you think it’s possible he’s never been sexier.
“As much as I want to keep these panties,” he says, pulling them out of his pocket, “I also want to make sure my cum stays in you longer. You don’t mind if I put these back on you, do you, princess?”
You shake your head, smiling at him as he gently lifts your foot, then the other, pressing a kiss to your calf as he slides your panties back on.
“I bit you pretty bad,” your mate confesses. “Let me get you up, get you seated on my truck, and I’ll grab the first aid kid to bandage your neck.”
There’s not one word of protest from you, and you marvel at how easy it is for him to lift you off the ground, setting you on the front panel.
“Wait here,” he says softly, giving you one last chaste kiss before he heads to fumble in the front cabin. He comes back a minute later holding a red first aid kit, and you watch him in a daze as he gets out the gauze and bandages.
“You might be a beta,” Seungcheol tells you, as he begins to gently wrap your neck, “but you have the sex drive of an omega, don’t you, princess?”
“Only for you, alpha.” You flash him a dopey smile, completely brain-dead after the best sex of your life. “Only for you.”

bonus
Seungcheol wakes up as the sunlight begins to creep through the blinds and illuminate your room. He lets out a groan, instinctively reaching out to grab you, pulling you tight to his body.
“Morning, alpha,” you whisper, fingers threading through his hair and massaging his scalp.
He’d woken up with a stiffie, and the feeling of your hands has him releasing a moan of pleasure, his cock throbbing in the confines of his breifs.
He takes a deep breath, wanting to be engulfed by you, by your scent-
And that’s when he notices a sweeter note to your usual smell.
His eyes open, and he blinks at you, the fogginess of sleep slowly dissipating as he gets his bearings.
“What?” you question, having picked up on the shift in his energy. “Is something wrong?”
“You just-” he swallows thickly, “you smell so good.”
“Really?”
“More than normal,” he confirms, sitting up suddenly to look at you. His eyes take in your body, and he moves the covers to get a better view of your form. His fingers reach out to trace your skin, smoothing over your collarbone and down to your breasts. When he reaches your belly button, he circles it, and you let out a giggle.
Seungcheol can’t help but smile, gaze flashing to meet yours. He has his suspicions about why your scent may have changed, he’s heard stories about this, but he’s never experienced it for himself-
“I think the blood moon blessed us, princess.”
“Hmm?” Your brows furrow in confusion, and you reach down to guide his hand lower-
His fingers find your core through your panties, and he lets out a groan at how wet you already are. As he moves lower, shimmying down the bed to get between your thighs, the smell grows, confirming his suspicions.
“You’re pregnant,” he says softly. “I can smell it on you.”

Here Kitty, Kitty ― Chapter Three CW: food mentions Word Count: 1.2k
The day felt like it was dragging on and on, at a painfully slow pace as you trudged through your morning classes. It didn’t help that your mind kept replaying your confrontation with Seungcheol the other day non-stop. And with the obvious eyes that were glued to your back during class it was hard to concentrate on anything. The pull in your chest was starting to ache, but you did your best to ignore it - like most of your problems. That didn’t stop you though from the occasional glance to one of the four boys every so often.
Thankfully you finally got a moment to yourself, making your way towards the dining hall for something to eat as your stomach growled in protest. You settled with a simple sandwich, tucking yourself away in a seat off in the corner and away from any possible prying eyes. Before you can eat though someone decides to slide into the seat across from you and your stomach plummets as you catch his scent. He smells like a home cooked meal and your mouth waters subconsciously.
Slowly, you look up and you hate the way your heart practically beats out of your chest when you catch his eye. You hate how handsome he looks with his dumb perfectly styled hair and stupidly cute smile.
“U-um…Can I help you?” Oh my god, you were gonna jump out a window. Could you literally be any more pathetic?
“Hi! I’m Mingyu. Just wanted to introduce myself and ask you a quick question” You blink at him, slightly confused as you introduce yourself back and ask what his question might be. You’re not prepared at all for what comes out of his mouth next and had you been eating you would have spat it right back out into his face.
“Are you our mate?”
“W-WHAT?!” Panic floods your system and you’re scared for a second that your eyes are gonna change to that undeniable gold shine, indicating what he just asked. Your fingers grip at your thighs, digging your nails painfully into the soft flesh to help ground yourself for a second.
“Sorry- It’s just you smell so good. I was thinking that there’s a good chance you’re our mate,” His voice is soft and slightly pouty, looking awfully a lot like a kicked puppy and you curse your heart for melting at the sight.
“No. Sorry- I’m…I’m not your mate,” The lie slips from your lips easily but the way he deflates at your answer makes you want to take it back and it’s then that your skin feels like it’s on fire. Thankfully it dissipates as quickly as it came, subtly reminding you of the consequences of rejection. You push it down, swallowing the guilt that’s thick in your throat as you abruptly get out of your seat. “Good luck finding your mate, but you should probably stay away from me. Wouldn’t want to upset your leader, do you?” It’s almost impressive how you can put on a mask, letting not a single emotion betray your cold demeanor as you walk away. (Though it’s more like running away, your food long forgotten as you do what you do best: ignoring your problems until they go away. They never go away, but you suppose that’s a problem for the future you).
Mingyu on the other hand walks back to a table with a few of his brothers, head down and dejected, though not completely undeterred. Mate or not, he would figure out why you had smelled so good to him and his brothers - otherwise it would drive him crazy (much like your scent had). There had to be an explanation, there was no way there wasn’t some reason you had affected him and all of his brothers.
Though it’s subtle, Seungcheol can still smell the lingering vanilla from Mingyu and immediately knows that the younger had disobeyed such a simple rule. It’s the disappointed look on their alpha’s face that makes Mingyu try to curl up into himself even more. No words need to be said as the other brothers, Minghao and Junhui, give a silent glance at each other before resuming their meal. Seungcheol lets out a rather annoyed sigh before getting up and leaving, his own appetite gone at the thought of you.
“You should at least try to be subtle if you’re gonna ignore hyung’s rules you know - then again, subtlety has never been your strong suit gyu,” Minghao tells the taller, who’s too busy making himself look small in his seat. “Eh, I think he should go for it. I know I will,”
“Whatever, just don’t drag me into it Jun hyung,”
“Aw come on, don’t act like you’re not interested in her,”
Minghao just rolls his eyes in response, but he would be lying if he said he wasn’t dying of curiosity. You had basically just told them straight out that you weren’t their mate, so why was it he still wanted to get to know you?  ────── 〔✿〕──────
Joshua sighs, a notebook in his lap while he leans against his favorite tree that stands tall in their front yard. Nestled between the branches was an old treehouse the brothers had made when they were kids, not a lot of them used it nowadays but Joshua still had a lot of nostalgia for the rickety building. It was his little sanctuary where he would go when he needed to get away from everything and today, the pack was getting on his nerves and he needed some space to say the least. He sat twirling a pen across his fingers, attempting to do some homework lest Seungcheol nag him for not getting it done. The last thing he wanted to do though was homework right now, sighing in frustration, he runs a hand through his hair while pulling softly at the strands.
He was just about to get up, giving up on getting any work done when his ears picked up on a faint meow from above him. When he looks up, there’s a small black cat in one of the branches, bright gray eyes staring into his own and before he can even think, the cat is jumping down into his lap. Joshua is pleasantly surprised, his hand coming to stroke at its back and the cat responds in tune, purring softly. Usually cats weren’t this friendly with him, or any of the brothers really. He had assumed that most felines didn’t prefer their “dog-like” scent, however, this one seemed to be the opposite as it leaned into him more.
“Well hello there, where did you come from?” he questions while his fingers scratch behind the cat's ears, making the feline purr louder. “Hm, I’ve never seen you before. Do you belong to someone?” Joshua questions aloud as he notices no collar around its neck, concluding that it was most likely a stray. “You’re pretty cute though, aren’t you?” The cat meows in response and it causes him to laugh softly. He finds himself playing with the cat for a while and it effectively eats away at his current stress. Although no homework was finished, he found himself feeling lighter than he has been in awhile.  As he walked away, he waved towards the cat who was now curled up under the tree asleep in the fading rays of the setting sun. A thought pops into his head.
“Maybe i’ll buy a collar for it,”

(answers below the line for obvious reasons) ~ ☆
“I - I do want you to fuck me, Soonyoung. As my life partner. As an Alpha - my Alpha…"
You didn’t exactly have any poison like an Alpha would, but the Mark of Claim was enough, and his pulse against your tongue only spurred you forward towards climax.
You could tell they were Alpha’s by their domineering presence; the knowing of the power they held. Felt it pressing against your throat like they had sucked all the clean air out of the room.
