Who is talking about this? I know the fans are pointing out all the more obvious yet teasing hints, but THE GIRL WHO HASN'T WATCHED ARCANE BEYOND THE FIRST EP IS THE ONE NOTICING THIS?!?!

notes: hello everyone i know i haven't posted a vr piece and it's all because i couldn't fully grasp the fact that femdriver and logan are not together in this universe but i took a break from them and yes i'm coping well, but no i will not stop tearing up about their love story k? anyway, i think this is MID compared to other crack fics i've written but i'm trying i promise

she holds up the scooter in one hand, the other on her hip as she leans into the tablet in liam's hands. "what's the route again?"

"are you stupid?" logan asks.

"no, do you want to not join us?" she asks quickly, lifting her head to glare at the american across her. she darts her arm out and shoves logan back. "i'll disqualify you right here, right now. you wanna spend your afternoon in your driver's room like a loser like the rest of them?"

"he sent it to the group chat, how can you still not know the route?" logan scoffs, narrowing his eyes down into a glare.

"i'm just making sure!"

"relax," liam mutters, holding a hand up in an attempt to break up the fight that he's sure would happen if he doesn't interfere. "i'll disqualify you both."

"just tell me the route," mick sighs, shaking his head. he steps forward and tilts his head to try and get a look at the screen under the scorching sun above them. "no cheating, okay?"

logan huffs. "tell that to her."

she throws her head back and rolls her eyes. "god, logan!" she winds her arm back and darts an arm out to grab logan's sweatshirt. she bundles it up into her hands and tries to yank logan towards her.

"okay!" mick cries out, grabbing her wrist and pulling her away from logan. he carefully, finger by finger, removes her hand from grasping his sweatshirt and pushes her back. he then guides logan two steps away. "the race hasn't even started yet!"

oscar pops his head between the girl and liam. "are you sure you should be doing this?"

"of course," liam mutters, glancing at oscar. "why are you here? i thought you didn't want anything to do with us if we went through with this?"

"yeah, but i'm curious. so i know which places to avoid - i wouldn't want to get run over by road rager over here," he gestures to her and then at logan, "and mr. beating-(y/n)-is-my-life's-mission over there."

"she can't possibly be beating me at every single thing!" logan cries, throwing his arms in the air, and pointing over at her.

"sore loser!"

"okay, so we're starting here," liam points at where they're standing. "we start at williams."

"are you guys going to the pitlane?" oscar questions.

"no, are you crazy? do you want somebody to kill us?" mick scoffs. "i'd get my scooter rights taken away from me!"

"yeah," liam agrees with a nod. he throws oscar a judgemental stare, absolutely bewildered at the thought that they would be racing at the area where literal cars could be driving out. he looks back down at the ipad. "anyway."

"we zip between the racing homes," logan mutters, tracing the map of the paddocks that they'd pulled up from the internet. "and then we make a round around the interview table and the finish line is back here. don't forget to zip through the racing homes again."

"exactly," liam nods. "everyone aware of the rules?"

"you guys had the time to come up with rules?" oscar laughs. "seriously?"

"no shortcuts," mick says, turning his head to look at the younger girl. he grabs her wrist. "have you got your watch on so we can track the route everyone takes for the race?"

"yes. i'm a fair racer, above all," she scowls, retracting her arm from mick. "and we stop for everyone who calls us, yes? especially the fans."

"easy," logan nods, a smirk stretching his lips. "suddenly i'm kind of thankful nobody really likes me."

"what? don't say that," she grunts. "i like you. we like you."

"break it up, lovebirds. we are not friends, we're competitors," liam mutters. "you guys got the glasses (y/n) stole from seb's office?"

"i didn't steal them. we're borrowing them!" she rolls her eyes and crosses her arms. "don't break them - seb doesn't know i took them from his office."

"oh, i'm pretty sure charles would have let you borrow his if you asked," oscar whispers. when she turns her head to glare at him, oscar lifts his arms up to surrender. "but, you know. what do i know?"

"well i'm not sponsored by rayban - my glasses aren't here yet. i get when everybody else gets them," she frowns. "and, i don't wanna bother charles. it's okay."

"so you snuck into seb's office instead."

"it's not sneaking in if the door was wide open," she laughs, rolling her eyes. "duh?"

"ah, is that why you needed me to keep a lookout in the hallway?" logan says.

"shut up. i'm going to beat you," she mutters, pointing at logan with a threatening finger.

"okay, so are we clear about the rules?" liam puts the ipad down and looks around. "we've literally tried to make it as foolproof as possible. there's no way you guys can find ways to cheat, right?" he turns to her. "right?"

"i don't know why you keep looking at me - i'm a fair racer! you should be asking mick if he's going to be honest about this one!"

"why me? isn't logan desperate to keep the paper mache cup that we made three nights ago?"

"in my defence, i still believe i should keep it even if i lose because i worked on it the entire night. all you fuckers did was play overcooked and scream at each other in mick's hotel room."

"okay, shut up and race," oscar mutters, flailing his arms in the air to dismiss their huddle. "are you guys ready? can i start the race for you?"

"for someone who doesn't want to be a part of this, you sure are pushy," she mutters, turning on her heel to hop onto her scooter. "are we ready? apple watches and rayban glasses on?"

she takes the sunglasses that have been resting on the collar of her blouse and puts it on. she turns to her left and points at logan. "i'm gonna crush you."

logan pushes the sunglasses up his nose, looking ahead and doesn't spare her another glance. "sure."

"okay, okay," oscar cheers, clapping his hands. he reaches into his back pocket and reveals a red handkerchief. "turned your scooters on? everybody got their smart watches and smart glasses on?"

"start the race, cunt!"

oscar's lip twitches. "anyway. be safe, you guys. we have a race this weekend."

"i don't," mick smiles. "stay safe, though."

"start the race before i do it myself, bitch!"

"liam, shut the fuck up!" she shrieks, stepping off her scooter momentarily to whack him on the arm.

"god!" liam screams, his arm darting out to whack her as a response. "the race is going to start and you're not going to-"

"go!" oscar shouts, waving the handkerchief into the air. he darts to the side to get out of their way with a giggle.

almost immediately, logan and mick have already pulled back their handles, darting away from the williams racing home. she shrieks and shoves liam, causing him to lose his balance slightly, hops onto her scooter and drives away.

"oh, liam!" a deep voice calls. "i've been looking for you everywhere!"

"fuck's sake," liam sighs, shaking his head as he turns to see christian walking up to him. but he smiles as he is approached by the team principal. "yeah, christian?"

up ahead, she frowns to herself as she watches mick and logan racing head to head. there's no way to catch up to them on these scooters - it's simply not like an f1 car. she can only bank on the fact that someone, somehow, will stop them to give her some sort of window to pass them.

with the little number of people in the paddocks on a wednesday for the weekend proves that they should have done this early in the afternoon on friday. there could have been more obstacles and distractions for them.

if only the boys had listened to her.

she shrieks when she sees george flagging mick down ahead of the alpine racing home, forcing mick to come to slow stop. she screeches loudly when she passes mick, her hair being blown back by the wind and speed she's going at.

"thanks, george!" she screams, momentarily waving at the brit as she passes the mercedes pair. she can see logan ahead of her, speeding and manoeuvring around the crowd flawlessly by the ferrari home.

surely, somebody will recognise him and pull him to a stop, right? if nobody does, she can only hope that alex is somewhere in the paddocks wondering where his rookie has gone.

the race, objectively, is going fine for her. logan was momentarily stopped by a williams engineer. she passes them screeching, also thanking the nameless woman and waving at logan smugly as she accelerates her scooter.

when she does that, her eyes widen when she sees mick also passing logan. she has no idea where liam has gone, or if christian has even let him go from their conversation at the back of the paddocks.

she does get stopped, once, by susie who stops her to ask her a question. it was a simple question that she easily had the answer to and susie let her off in seconds. she excitedly presses a kiss on the older woman's cheek and quickly accelerates away, shocked that mick is suddenly riding next to her.

behind them is logan trailing shortly, and liam's conversation with christian is actually short. so behind logan is liam, held back by a couple of seconds only.

it's just that christian had overheard them whispering earlier that day about their race and he had lurked by the williams racing home to mess with his driver.

she, unfortunately, does get stopped another time, by a fan that was being brought around for a tour of the paddocks ahead of the race weekend. she grumbled under her breath when the three boys passed her: mick mimicking her shrill screech, logan passing her with his fingers in an 'L' shape, then liam simply ignoring her.

the race is short. suddenly they're all at the final stretch, now circled back at the ferrari racing home as they aim to make it to the finish line where oscar sits in a plastic chair, hunched over as he texts his girlfriend.

she screeches when she sees mick come to a stop right by the aston martin home. it's then questionable when she sees logan stop, and then liam. and suddenly she's getting flagged down by liam.

she rolls her eyes and ignores them, clearly being sore losers that she is now destined to win their little race. she goes right past them, slowing down slightly since it seems that she is the only competitor left in the race.

"(y/n)!" she hears a familiar accent. her eyes widen as she looks back, seeing sebastian with his hands on his hips, surrounded by her friends with the guiltiest expressions on their faces.

it all happens very fast. she had all intentions to slow down and go back to where they were, but she hadn't seen the rock up ahead.

if only she'd been looking ahead.

the front wheel of her scooter is caught against the stone, sending both her and the vehicle flying forward. "fuck!" she screams, her arms stretching out to try and break the fall.

"oh, my god!"

"that's going to hurt."

"are you stupid?"

"are you okay?"

she stays in her spot for a couple of seconds as she tries to digest the events of what just happened to her. one second, she had been on her scooter, the next she's knelt on the ground with her hands planted into the ground.

then it hits her: all of the pain from her fall.

she removes her hands from the ground and blinks rapidly, allowing the blood to seep from her now wounded palms. she feels it in her knees, surely scraping her favourite pair of pants when she had skidded against the floor. one of sebastian's pair of raybans is strewn not too far from her on the ground.

her scooter is ahead of her, which oscar is now bent over and pushing it upright.

she looks up, meeting logan's eyes with a hand over his mouth.

"it's not funny!"

"it's a little funny," logan shrugs before he bends down to meet her. "are you okay?"

tears immediately well in her eyes. she stretches out her hands and shows logan her injured palms. "i hurt my hands!"

"we can see that." mick is the next to kneel next to her, taking her hands into his. he moves her hands about and tries to assess her wounds. "we should get you back to your room and treat these."

"where are my glasses, you fucking- seriously, (y/n)?" she hears sebastian mutter. she lifts her head and watches sebastian pick up the pair from the ground and turn to her. "seriously? a race on the scooter i had to beg to get you?"

"it was liam's idea!" she cries, wiping her eye on the sleeve of her blouse. "he challenged me!"

"it was premeditated!" liam screams in an attempt to defend himself. "she said we would race once you got her scooter approved!"

"shut the fuck up!" she screeches, reaching out to push liam. "i told you not to tell on me!"

"okay, enough fighting," oscar sighs. he bends over and is the only one to think that she should not let her wounds be against the dirty ground for too long. "come on, let's get you all patched up."

"but my knees!" she cries, sniffling as she looks down at her scraped jeans. there's a small hole on both of her knees, the edges seeped with blood and small matching wounds on either. "i can't-"

"enough crying, drama queen," logan mutters, already hunched over and tapping his shoulders. "i'll carry you back. stop crying."

It's holiday season. Everyone you know are all busy preparing for the coming christmas. Your friends are busy buying gifts for their love ones and they are also excited planning all their trips or dates with their each own special someone. Whilst you on the other hand, you are not planning anything.

"Y/n, what are you going to do this christmas?" One of your friend asks

"I'll be visiting my parents on the 25th." You answer

"That's all?" She asks

"Do you want to come with us? My family are going on a staycation on this fancy hotel... I can ask them if I could bring you." The other friend suggested

"No... it's fine. I'll be at home. I deserve a break too from all the work I've been doing..." you answer

"I get it... you deserve it yes.. but... are you not sad you are not spending Christmas eve with someone...?" The first friend ask

"Even a date?" The other one adds. "You know... if you only accept the guys wanting to take you on a date or atleast get to know you... I'm sure you have a boyfriend now."

You laugh at how worried they are with you spending Christmas eve alone.

"I'm fine. I'm happy."

Being the "single one" in your friendship group is nothing new. It's not that you don't want to meet anyone or get to know someone but it's just that you are not actually single. None of them knows that you have been dating this guy for quite some time now.

You are not hiding him or your relationship because you are embarassed about him. You are just respecting his privacy and for safety reasons as well.

He is the son of the leader of the famous mafia in the country. Everybody knows their family. They fear them. Everyone thinks they are the most dangerous beings to exist. However little did they know, they only look mean as hell. But these men, all have hearts and kindess to help anyone in need. They just don't publicize the good things they do.

"Okay... whatever you say... just call us when you need someone to talk to when you feel alone."

"I'm fine girls... seriously... and enjoy your vacation. Don't mind me. Spend your time with your boyfriends and family... okay?"

"Okay." Both of them say at the same time.

Then after a few more minutes chatting with them your phone alarm buzzes. It's a reminder.

"Oh crap! I need to go now!" You say in a hurry. "I had to go to this shop my mother told me to go... I need to drop her gifts for her friend who's in the city for vacation."

"Okay... sure..." both your friend stands up and hugs you.

"Happy holidays! See you after more than a week." You say

"See you and stay safe! Be careful running in the snow okay? You are clumpsy." The first friend says

"I will."

"Bye!"

You wave goodbye one last time before running out of the coffee shop.

You are really in a hurry. It is true that you have to meet your mother's friend to give them the gift. You were supposed to meet the park near the hotel they're staying at. It's not that far from where you and your friends met so you just decided to walk from there.

Then while you are on the walk, you decides to text your lover to let him know where you will be at.

Y/N: I'll be at the park in front of Crescent Hotel. Meeting my mom's friend to give her present.

After sending the text, you put your phone in your sling bag and didn't checked if he read it or replied. You are in a hurry so it didn't crossed your mind.

"Y/n?" A motherly tone of voice calls your name as you just walk pass through the crowd to step foot in the vicinity of the park.

You turn around and see Mrs. Jung together with her son waving at you. Smiling, you carefuly run towards them and quickly hug Mrs. Jung. "Long time no see!"

"Indeed!" She hugs you back and pats your head. "Oh my gosh! You have grown... such a beautiful lady."

You shyly giggle as you can't accept the compliment very well. For you, you just look alright. Not as beautiful as your mother.

"It's been so long since you last came back..." you say

"Yeah. We didn't get the chance to come back the last two years. But we're here now." She says smiling

"By the way, this is mother's gift. She says sorry she can't give it to you personally. She's at the province now taking care of grandpa and grandma."

"Oh, it's fine. I understand. Tell them I wish them a happy holiday and good health."

"I will."

Then her son, Wooyoung, standing next to her greeys you. "Happy holidays."

"Happy holidays." You smile back.

You two then hug and pat each other's back.

Wooyoung and you are classmates in highschool. You two became friends because of your parents. Before you two would always have sleepovers so you could both play and watch movies together. But since they migrated abroad, you two became a little distant. Still friends but not as close as before.

Plus one factor that might've affected that is before he flew away, he confessed his feelings for you. That he liked you. However, you told him that even you like him too back then being highschool and being in a long distance relationship is not ideal for the both of you. It's sad but it is true. Especially bot of you were so young back then.

"You still as pretty as I remember." He says to you

"Stop!" You hit him on his arm. "You still compliment me like the way you used to in highschool." You say.

"You know I'm just being honest." He says, warmly smiling

"I know." And then you notice that he looks mature that from what you remembered seeing him two years ago when they last visited. "You look different."

"Well it's his married aura now." Mrs. Jung explains

"M-married?" You gasp looking at them two back and forth. "You got married?"

Wooyoung is smiling ear to ear. "Yes." He answers then showing his ring. "I got married to the love of my life just almost a year ago."

"Oh my gosh! Congratulations!" You jump and hug him again. "I'm so happy for you!" You clap as you let him go. "Is she with you guys?"

"Unfortunately no... she can't travel because she's just a few months pregnant and she's in bed rest."

"Married and soon to be father!" You are estatic. "What a blessing!"

"Thank you!" Wooyoung is so proud and happy about her wife and their soon to be child.

The catch up with the Jung's is so light and warm. They all have good things to talk about that excites you. It's been a while since you saw them and you are so happy that everything is great with them. Especially after them losing the father figure in their family. You are glad they are doing well.

An two hours later, you are on your way to your apartment building, carrying a few things you bought from the groceries that you need at home when you decided to check on your phone.

SAN: I thought you're meeting your mom's friend. Who is the guy you are hugging?

SAN: You hugged him not once but twice!

SAN: why are you touching his arm.

SAN: why are you laughing so much :(

SAN: who is he?????

SAN: baby

SAN: baby...........

SAN: stop talking him.

SAN: baby!

SAN: :(

SAN: you are leaning on to him?????

SAN: are you cheating on me in public?

You proudly smile after you sent the text. Coz you know San will immediately rush to get to you after reading your text.

However, what you didn't expect is that minutes later when you're about to turn to the corner of your building and about to get to the steps to the entrance, you notice a tall figute standing. It's San.

"You're not going to invite me in your apartment anymore?" He says his brows arching and lookinh down at you.

He's wearing something casual and comfy. A beanie, black fitted shirt and a grey sweat pants.

"What are you doing here?" I ask, "And why are you wearing so little clothes! It's cold!" I rush to him

"You said you will not welcome me in! So I ran!" He is sweating and you can see heat coming out of his body.

"Ran from where?"

He pouts. "There." He points at the black car parked across the street.

"I see... so... you were following me?"

"No." He looks away

"I thought we've agreed about me having one bodyguard... camouflaged as a normal civilian in a distant... why are you following me now?"

"I promise. I was not supposed to follow you..."

"But?"

He looks down and takes the the two shopping bag you are holding. "I miss you... I was at the gym when I received your text that you were going to meet a family friend..."

"And...?"

"And... I thought I could pick you up... give you a ride home after..."

"But...?"

He sighs, giving up. "Fine. I'm sorry. But I do swear... I went out because I really do miss you."

"Then if you do miss me....why just let me know... visit me... we can hang out."

"Sorry."

You chuckle as you see him lower his head even more. He's so cute when he's like this. A total 180degrees opposite of his charisma when he's in his mafia mode.

"So... you want to come in and stay?" You ask tilting your head to the side, searching for his face. "But if you have plans or things to do with work... it's fine. Beside, I'll be leaving tomorrow to visits my--"

"You're leaving?"

"Yes. I did told you about my grandpa being sick right?"

"Oh. Right."

Both of you then start to walk in the building. You want him to get inside quick and get warm since he forgot to bring a jacket with him.

People who you walk pass as from the lobby to the elevator are all looking sus as they see San. They must be thinking how crazy he is walking around with such little clothes during winter season.

But knowing San, even though people give him looks and judgements he does not give a fuck.

"Would you like a hot milk? Maybe hot coco or..." you ask as you both reach your apartment door enterimgg your pin. "a warm jacket to bring when you leave? You still have a few clothes here with me... the ones you left..."

Then as soon as you enter and the door beeps signaling its locked and closed, San drops the two shopping bag on the floor and cages you in between his arms.

"I've missed you." He mumbles into your ears.

You close your eyes, lean your head on his shoulder and allow him to embrace you tightly. "Me too."

"I'm sorry I've been away this past few weeks..."

"It's okay."

"I wish I could've helped you decorate your place."

"You're so sweet." You whirl around to face your lover. "I know you are really not into Christmas really... it's fine. I don't want to force you to do it every year with me."

"No..." he pulls you in closer and places his hand at the back of your head. "It's important to you... so I have to... you know you are my everything. And I will do anything to make you happy."

"Aww..." you lay your head on his chest. "You're the sweetest tough guy that I know."

He tenses a little. "I should be the only sweet and tough guy you know!"

You laugh at his reaction. Your lover is a jealous type and he does not know or even tries to hide it. You sometimes like to tease him about it.

"Hmm... I don't think so..." you let go of him and take the two shopping bags from the floor and go straight to the kitchen. "I know a few..." you add before you start unpacking the groceries

"Baby..." he follows you to the kitchen.

"I have classmate and still friends with are tough guys. They are sweet and kind too."

"Who? What do they do? Are you talking to them? I need to know details about them!" He is sulking

While you on the other hand, just enjoying his reaction. "Also... Wooyoung..."

"Who??!?"

"Wooyoung..." you repeat. "He's the first guy whoever protected me... from the bad guys..."

He goes silent.

"He protected me to the bullies in highschool. He's a cool guy. And....sweet."

He is though. Wooyoung is such a good person and reliable.

"Is that the guy from earlier?"

You nod as you finish the rest of the unpacking. "We finally saw each other after two years..."

"You knew him before me?" He sounds a bit hurt

"Yes. I know him since highschool." You answer before you walk out of the kitchen and finally removing your coat and scarf revealing your knitted top. "He migrated abroad with his family..."

"Is he your ex?" His face suddenly changes. He's not sulky anymore. He's more on the really jealous San now.

You appoach your lover, who's standing in the middle of the room, take his hand and kiss his knuckles.

"No..." you suddenly reasurre him. "Don't get jealous okay? He's a friend."

"But you hugged him... three times." He pouts

"Because I was so happy to see him plus he told me good news." You put your hands around his waist and give him a quick smooch on his lips. "He got married and expecting his first baby..."

"Oh." San's lips slowly curves into a smile.

"So... now you're smiling."

"Well..." his cheekbones show his happiness

"Why are you getting jealous all the time huh? You know you're my only lover..."

"They are a lot of hunters in this world baby. And you are one heck of a prey." He lowers his head, leaving delicate kisses on your jaw. "If only I could tell the whole world you are my queen...my everything... then boys will not try to hit on you."

"It's okay... and I don't care about those boys... I have you. My Sannie. You are all I need and want in my life."

"Aww baby..." his hands goes lower, cupping your ass with both hands. "I love you..."

"I love you too."

He hums and then nuzzles his face with yours. "Maybe I should stay for the night..." he smiles, "What do you think?"

The sweet smooch gets deeper the moment he opened his mouth and allowed you to explore your tongue in there.

The sound of your kisses echoes all throughout the apartment. Kisses that are longing and hungry. Kisses that are in duet with his whiny moans.

"Fuck." He smiles and looks at you with endearing eyes. "Baby, you're driving me insane!"

"Do I?" You kiss him again. Teasing him by sucking his lower lip before letting him go.

"Maybe let's have dessert first before we have dinner." He pulls you up and you automatically wrapped your legs around his hips. "I'll cook later... don't worry."

He carries you from the living room to your bedroom. He slowly puts you down in bed, sitting, before he goes down to his knees so you're eye to eye.

"May I undress you?"

"Please..." you kiss him on his cheek. "My Sannie."

A grin forms on his lips. He starts from pulling your knitted sweater off, revealing your black bra filled with your plump breasts. Then his hands goes from your behind to unzip your skirt. You helped him by getting up a little so he can pull it down in a go.

"Hmm." He bow down his head and lay his cheek on your thighs.

"You're so warm..." you murmur. You placed your hand on his bare face.

"San..." you call his name and kiss his forehead.

The way San say you are his everything and his life can sound exaggerated to others. However for him, he meant it. And people will understand why he says it like that if they know the full story how he and you met.

You two met more than two years ago. You were on your way home from your work at night. You decided to drop by a pharmacy to buy your first aid kit supplies because you've ran out. You are clumpsy and usually hurt yourself when cooking so you always need it refilled from time to time.

And then while you were on your walk, under the pouring rain, you heard noises from a dark alley just a few blocks away from the pharmacy. At first you wanted to just ignore it but then the moment you saw the guys guys wearing baggy clothes and masks, you made sure you made a sound that will startle them thinking someone is coming. It was effective coz they fled.  You saw them ran and you panicked but luckily they didn't hear or saw you. As you were hiding from across the street.

You waited a few minutes before completely running across to check who got hurt.

When you got there, San was on the floor. He was beaten up, sitting and his back leaning on the wall. His eyes were closed and not answering you when you asled him if he's fine so what you did was dial the hotline, for help.

However, after a few rings San abruptly grabs your phone and ends the call.

"What are you doing?" You asked, panicking. "We need to call the ambulance... or the police..."

"No." San insisted. "I can't go to a hospital."

"Why not? You're bleeding!"

Blood was running down the concrete and straight to the drainage.

"It's not deep." He mumbled

"What the heck? You are bleeding! You might die!"

He smiled at you even his face was bruised and his one eye barely opening. "If you keep talking loud... they'll come back. And then we'll both die."

You covered your mouth and looked around.

"Just help me get up and go to my car."

"Are you sure?" You say quietly

"Yes. I can't go to the hospital nor the police right now." He grunted as he tries to get up slowly. You helped him immediately. "I have my first aid kit in my car."

"I have to... in my bag." You said as you try to carry his weight, his arm around you.

"Good girl." He said.

You helped him with his cut. You are not the bravest person in the world but back then you managed to clean his cut,  staple it, covered it with bandage and even helped him get into his new set of clothes.

Yeah, the day you first met San you already saw him naked. You were stunmed when he asked you to undress him completely especially when you saw his length up close and personal. But you forced yourself to be focus that time. And hurray to that you managed to undress and dress him.

"I'm sorry... this is our first time meeting..." he said, grunting in pain.

"It's fine. Glad I could help." You said as you finally relax beside him at the backseat.

"You're wet."

"Excuse me?" Your eyes widened, making laugh

"I meant... your clothes."

"Oh." You blushed so bad. Embarassed.

"I have one extra shirt. It's big enough to be your dress... if you want to..."

You didn't answered him.

"I'll look away. Promise."

"Okay. I don't want to get sick."

You picked the extra black shirt from his luggage. You started to undress the second he looked away. The car is heavily tinted and the parking lot is closed so no one is around except you two and his car. So you felt a bit at ease undressing even you should not.

Long story short. After that night, San became obsessed with you.

He thanked you hundred of times and made sure to get to know you. He thought he was doing all of it because he's just thankful. That's it. But then even just a stranger, when you almost got into trouble because of his life, he learn how important you are to him.

Since then San kept you safe. You have guards 24/7 and always around you. And because of that almost incident, you can't publicy reveal your relationship.

Slowly he peels the thights off you revealing your cold skin.

The reason I get so heated about the 'Is Tech Alive/Dead' discourse is that like. It is very hard for me to explain just how pissed I would be if he was dead. Not because 'oh no a thing happened in the show that I didn't like' I'm in my fucking thirties I've dealt with shows making stupid decisions before. It's what a permadeath here in particular would mean with everything surrounding it.

It's starting a series based around getting you to want a family to reunite just to pull the rug out 2/3rds in and say 'lol dumbass they were never going to reunite.' All those themes of family and needing it to be complete? Never meant anything.

It's building up a character, intentionally making sure he's read as neurodivergent in a very clear and confirmed way, giving him multiple plotlines, and then cutting them all off without finishing any of them by taking two episodes to set up a mission that has zero plot purpose except to kill him off and then say Oh well it's stakes and consequences there had to be a price to pay for... trying to reunite the family and save their brother I guess. How dare they.

It's providing zero confirmation in story on the death, spending months upon months saying shit like 'he doesn't come back in this episode at least' and 'this was the end of mine - and that's a good thing!' and 'if you could only see who's on my screen' knowing that there's a large portion of fans genuinely upset by his death, using social media pretty much exclusively to rub our faces in the scene, and then turns out they were just stringing everyone along the whole time, he really was dead, the lack of confirmation in episode meant nothing, us playing coy and dropping hints for ten months meant nothing, fuck you for giving a shit.

It's setting up a story where the clones could be more than soldiers and then abruptly cutting it off and going on and on about how wonderful it is that he died self sacrificing as a soldier and it's what any clone would want, because this show about how all clones are individuals is actually about how they're all interchangeable and any clone would want the same thing.

It's that if Tech is dead there is not a single piece of the show, a single interaction with the fans since it happened, a single anything from anybody involved that was not set up to make ND people hope (or god forbid even feel some kind of acceptance at seeing a neurodivergent character getting treated seriously) string them along, and then punish them for it so that everyone else can coo about how mature and bold it was to kill off the autistic guy for shock value. And then they don't even fucking address it the next season because ~oh there's just no time~

And I would really prefer if a show that I have loved almost every other aspect of, that has been genuinely well written and moving, didn't randomly decide to drop every single piece of their writing ability in order to put out the most ambiguous death scene ever, fuck with their audience for ten months, and then shit on them for caring.

Okay, let's talk about development. Buddie shippers love to throw shade at Tommy. So, quick question: it's been 5 years now, where is Eddie's character development? Since Season 3, he has been suffering because of his wife and has run away from a new relationship. He's in the same place as in Season 7. The truth is, Buddie shippers don't care about Eddie's character. They see Eddie as an extension of Buck. Buck manages to get some self-improvement. We can see his changes from Season 1 to now. Eddie? They don’t care; they're too worried about karaoke scenes and their only concern is to make Buddie canon

truth be told, the show favours buck, and eddie is often neglected in terms of development. i must admit i actually saw some eddie-leaning bobs express frustration about this early on when it was revealed that a gay eddie arc was under consideration before tim and co ultimately decided on a bi buck storyline. but their voices were pretty drowned out by the constant yapping of how the show could make buddie canon, and now it's hard to see anything else.

i think you're right in saying bobs don't care about eddie as a character. but i'd even go so far as to say they don't care about buck either. superficially? sure because they both are part of the ship they love. but in reality? i wouldn't be so sure about that.

because the thing is they don't seem to think about buck and eddie as separate individuals. they always make one's storyline about the other. there is no buck without eddie and no eddie without buck in their eyes.

when you love a character, i think it's only natural that you want them to be happy. but when you love a ship more, your brain is wired to believe that the only way for them to be happy is if said ship ends up together. i don't want to condemn anyone for their feelings and choices because it's everyone's right to enjoy what they want to enjoy. you can't force anyone to change their view on that. i just wish they admitted they are not actually buck defenders or eddie defenders – they are just full-on buddie shippers, and that's it. don't pretend you care about them as individuals because it's obvious it's not true.

bobs don't care that buck is now in a happy relationship with a man who treats him as his equal, doesn't glorify him, understands what it means to be a firefighter, supports him, and makes an effort to be there for him when he needs him. they don't care that he is good for buck right now. they want tommy gone because he stands in the way of buddie canon (does he really? not the fact that eddie is canonically still very much heterosexual?), and because the audience seems to enjoy him much more than they anticipated. and they don't even care about an amicable break-up anymore – i saw some bobs say they want tommy dead. now you can't tell me you care about buck if you wish for his love interest to die. it's fine if you don't like tommy and if you personally think buck would be happier with someone else. let's agree to disagree and move on. but when you wish to seriously traumatize (one of) your favourite(s) character(s) in order for your ship to become canon? that just shows where your priorities lie, and i can guarantee that most people will disagree with you.

when it comes to eddie, he doesn't have the happiest storyline right now, and hasn't for a while. but if/when in s8 or some later season (provided they get renewed for more) he gets the development he deserves, and finally finds someone who he truly likes (and that someone isn't buck) and treats right, or perhaps decides that being single is fine and lets go of the pressure to be in a romantic relationship, do you think they'll be happy for him? i highly doubt so. they'll still push for buddie canon, not taking into account the individual characters of the story and their needs. what matters is that they get what they want, and everything and everyone else can go to hell.

if that is your stance, i personally think you should just quit watching the show and move to ao3 full-time for your and everyone else's own good. tim and co will not make buddie canon just because you want them to. it has to make sense for both buck and eddie individually first. and right now that is not the case for either of them.

Technoroid OVERMIND

Ayo. Starting out with a really random one. So if anyone were to look at my Anilist then they might be a bit confused. I decided I'd keep movies out of here as well as anything I haven't specifically finished. Also takt op. Destiny needs a re evaluation.

Anyways. This premise is so sick and I feel like they managed it really well. The characters were all really fun and the music was fantastic which is honestly the most important thing about Idol shows. I really like idol shows but often struggle with the stupid drama in them that just leads to seasons upon seasons that didn't need to happen or wouldn't actually happen.

In this they're just androids. The fantasy twist works so well for the genre and I honestly don't know why it isn't done more often. This way they can bullshit the drama and it actually makes sense.

Honestly my favourite character was Kite. He was great and his voice always gave me shivers. Especially his piece in the closing. Damn.

I don't want to go into full reviews with this, rather just gushing about things I like and stuff. I really don't think this got the recognition it deserves - probably because of it's deviation from the norm - but it would be cool to get some sort of sequel.

(Edit: There's a manga releasing apparently. Imma check that out.)

UniteUp!

Continuing on with the trend of idol animes apparently. UniteUp! was so good. As I mentioned in my Reviews while I watch of the show, it felt so grounded and real that other idol shows just don't seem to capture. These were all real people with real problems dealing with real life.

I also like how we had such a large cast of characters but it never really felt overwhelming as they focused on group dynamics and specific individuals rather than trying to cram every single person into their own arcs.

Once again the music was fantastic and by god was this show pretty gay. Honestly I don't know what the sentiments of others are, but the Anela duo definitely weren't straight and neither were Akira and Daiki. That bath scene says it all.

Anyways. If you want a fun time with a really solid idol anime, please check it out. I saw earlier that we're getting a season two soon. I am so looking forward to it.

Trigun Stampede

Damn! I don't even know what to really say about this one. The visuals are absolutely stunning - there is no doubt about that. The score and the characters are excellent. And how dare they leave us on that cliff hanger.

I have absolutely no history with this story and still need to watch and read the originally but I am really looking forward to seeing how the story adapts between the three.

You can ask my partner. I've already said we're watching everything trigun related as soon as we are done with our current show.

I'm really looking forward to season two. And especially seeing how this all pans out. Apparently there will be tears according to the fandom. Concern.

Damn this show came out of nowhere for me. I watched it quite awhile ago and have been meaning to rewatch it again.

The premise is definitely a sports anime but honestly so different. All because of one thing. The fact that he is an amnesiac is such a fascinating concept to work with - especially with how he was before (trying not to spoil - can't remember when this comes up in the anime)

And then the ending?? Damn. They seriously set up that cliff hanger and I really hope this show gets a sequel.

I really can't say too much about it without giving away some spoilers but damn does it change up the formula and do it so fucking well.

Given

Given is great. Such a pure but heartbreaking portrayal of love on one side with such conflicting but also nurturing views on the other. Having the different realtionships throughout this is really well done how they all bounce off of each other. Especially when they entertwine it with the music.

As it is said. That is how they communicate - through the music.

I'm busy catching up with the manga and really hope the anime continues with it.

Also the fucking is just fucking gorgeous. It has no write to hit you that hard.

Also - something else that shouldn't be allowed to hit you that hard. Damn Mafuyu has had a difficult past. We love how he learns to heal and grow with Uenoyama at his side.

Anyways, moving on.

Bakuten!!

Okay. Who said a sports anime could be this pretty.

I love the art style and the music throughout all of this. I love the portayal and the evolution of these character - seriously all their arcs are great. The interactions of the team is so tangible and real.

I watch a lot of sports anime and I often struggle with some of the drama used within the sports - it feels like the only thing that ever fuels the story is the matches. Whereas in Bakuten - the character seriously fuel the story. You can understand their motivations much more than just - I want to play this sport and be the best!

I also feel like they really captured everything really well in the movie. The whole concept of wanting to sore is great and really well executed.

I also love the interactions they have with the other team. It's not just a once off competition or practice match that they face each other. We actually get tangible characters for the whole team and see how much they two teams are similar to one another. It's a very healthy rivalry that isn't normally this expanded on in sports anime.

Sasaki and Miyano

Yesssssss. These two are just absolutely amazing. Their whole story arc and relationship is just tooth rottingly sweet. They bounce off of each other so well.

And I love the fact of how slow the actual story is. They meet at the start of Miyanos first year (from what I know - I still need to read the novels) and sasaki's second and they only end up confessing just before graduation happens. It really plays out well and is so healthy.

There is no problematic elements like in so many BL stories which is such a breath of fresh air. And the fact that sasaki is very specific about making sure to maintain boundaries to ensure that miyano is comfortable is also excellent.

On a slightly different note - I still need to see the Hirano and Kagiura movie. Been dying to watch it. I've been keeping up to date with both manga and both of these stories are amazing. I love the dichotomy of the two stories and how they are coming to their own realisations of their feelings in honestly very different ways.

I also recently watched the dub of the anime due to some videos on tiktok. Fucking hell it is absolutely hilarious. Kellen Goff as Sasaki has no reason for being that good. Seriously. Damn.

On a completely different note. Damn this one makes you questions your own morals and reality as you know it.

I really don't want to get into this one much as I do believe watching it blind is the best way to go.

The art style is fantastic and that opening hits like a truck it is so good. The characters just click (pun not intended) and you just understand their motivations and don't know which side to side with most of the time. It brings about such high moral dilemmas that will seriously mess with your brain sometimes and there is one episode that will likely make you cry.

Anyways. Season 2 has just started airing and I am so ready for it.

Buddy Daddies

Why did a show about two queer platonic dudes who adopt a child while beings assassins hit so damn hard.

The show jumps between episodes with backstory and episodes with them just being good dads and it is balanced so well. This anime won't end up getting a sequel most likely with how it ended but damn I wouldn't say no to one.

Rei is my favourite character and I relate to him far too much. His interactions with the world are so fascinating and his whole arc with Miri is honestly some of the best media I've seen.

I absolutely loved watching this show weekly and it always brightened up my day when I realised a new episode would be up.

No Game No Life

So. This was the first ever anime that I ever watched. It was a random recomendation from a friend. Look at where we are today.

This show is honestly just so fun. The characters are silly and the whole plot is just absolute chaos. I really enjoy the games aspect and how it was all incorporated into the world.

I can't even really say much about it. It is just a guilty pleasure of mine and will always hold a special place in my heart.

Also. Please can it just get a second season already.

Assassination Classroom

So. Unlike everything else on the list - this one I only finished really recently. My partner and I were watching it together. And to put it out there straight away. I cried. That ending was far too emotional.

I really enjoyed the humour throughout the whole thing as well as the constant underlying dread of the whole situation.

They also really played out Koro-senseis backstory really well. The teasing to it was excellent. I must say though that one of the twists seriously came out of left field. Like damn.

I've just recently bought the boxset and am reading through the manga. Once again. It's absolutely amazing.

Also the openings of them all jumping are absolutely fucking hilarious and you can't tell me otherwise.

If you want to know what officially sold me on the show was just in the first episode. (Note we watched in dub)

Don't ask me why but I found this to be the most hilarious thing ever. The absurdity and the line delivery was magnificent. I annoy my partner by quoting it atleast once a day.

Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan

Speaking of comedies. This show has no right to be this good. The absudist dead pan comedy in the middle of whats meant to be a TV show is such a random premise but just works so well.

Due to the nature of the show, the characters are extremely relateable. I especially love Kumatani and Kikaku.

If your on the same side of anime tiktok that I am then you have definitely seen/heard snippets of the dub.

I think this was the first anime that I originally watched in sub and then tried it in dub and actually enjoyed it. (I often find that whatever I originally watched it in is the only one I can watch it in - it's very difficult for me to change it)

The voice acting on both sides just works perfectly for the show. And that final episode and how they did it was the best thing ever.

Please just give it a try.

Angel Beats

Okay. Time for a hard hitter. This comedy like assassintaion classroom is fucking excellent but will make you cry, like damn.

In complete and utter contrast to No game no life, this was the second anime I had ever watched. I had found a video that gave some suggestions and thought I would give this one a try. When I say it destoryed me, I mean it literally. I constantly think about the end of this and I absolutely love revisiting it.

The twist and turns along the way are fascinating and I love how each one alters the characters and the narrative. Each of the characters feel unique - even the lesser developed side characters - with fascinating and complex backstories.

The whole thing just makes you question your own place in life.

Moriarty the Patriot

Another one I just randomly tried because I saw a video on tiktok. The first episode immediately pulled me in. I thought it was just going to be some simple detective story (At the time I didn't know much about Sherlock Holmes and who Moriaty was so I didn't have any of that to guide me into this story.) But nope.

I keep saying this but in this one I really mean it. The characters are built so well. The dichotomy between William and Sherlock - as the fandom would probably agree - is just amazing. How they bounce off of each other - i don't even know how to really descirbe it.

Honestly just go watch it.

And if you enjoyed the anime - please go check out the manga too. If the anime was done well - then the manga is done to lamost perfection.

This show was what got me into reading and then eventually buying manga. I now have every single one that is out.

Did I make the title gay? Yes.

Okayyyyy. This is just going to be me going on about how much I love this show. Bare with me.

So I was in an anime watching slump just before I picked up this show. I had been seeing some videos popping up talking about it and decided to give it a try (this was in 2020)

I immediately fell in love with this show. Literally everything about it. I ended up rewatching it three times over the course of a week. It got to a point where I was so upset that there wasn't more content for it that I just cried for half a day. (Ask my partner - it was chaos)

This show is the reason I now read fanfiction - all because I found a way to technically have more content for it.

This show holds such an important place in my heart that I sincerely cannot express it properly.

If you've never watched it - go give it a try. It would mean a lot - and hopefully one day we might get a season two.

Okay now this I can kind of see. The only thing I think doesn't work is where he ends up. Literally just send him off to be a Sargeant back on Chorus or with the UNSC or something and this would have been ace.

Yeah, we could tell. But also I don't think the episodic pacing hurt the good RvB seasons rewatchability when they were the "complete" versions too much. I think they should have just tried writing it episodically and then stitch it if they thought that would be easier.

Riveras Tobia's Jorge Lorenzo: My Story So Far

Okay, so according to the first episode of Hazbin Hotel, the pilot IS canon!

And I might just be talking nonsense of whatever, but like... Angel Dust has a stronger relationship with Travis than Husker until like Episode 4.

HEAR ME OUT-

Maybe it's my poor memory or the fast pacing that has my mind jumbled. But I seriously cannot remember a SINGLE meaningful Angel Dust and Husker interaction until "Loser, Baby." And if we're really stretching, maybe you can count the fight they have at the beginning of the episode. They don't even talk in Episode 2 despite being at the hotel together!

Meanwhile, Travis has a one night stand with Angel and actually seems quite familiar with him to some extent. In isolation, I might not have thought anything of this interaction... But seeing as the pilot IS proven canon and Travis is seen working with Angel at the studio, I think there could be a bit more to their relationship than not.

Now, Hazbin Hotel's weakest point is probably character interaction/relationships. With them introducing so many new characters within such a small time frame, while they are already struggling to fit all the other information they're trying to share- It makes sense that not all the characters we see would get the interactions we desire.

But the fact that Angel Dust, one of our most important characters from the main cast, only has three meaningful positive relationships (Charlie, Cherri, and Husker), one of which only shows up halfway through the first season is BONKERS.

And the fact that we have such little time to see our characters sharing time together means guys like Travis, who are background characters at BEST, technically have more important relationships with our character for over half the show run!

Just compare it for a minute-

Travis is Angel Dust's coworker and technical superior (If we're considering the fact that Travis is the director), who had sexual relations with him behind Valentino's back. Because let's be real, I don't think Valentino is too keen to be renting out his best actor off company time without reason to one of his lesser employees.

Meanwhile, Angel and Husk never got involved in anything more than uncomfortable flirting till Episode 4, which is halfway through the season! While I get this is supposed to come to a head for their eventual reconciliation in Episode 4, most of their time spent together beforehand is uncomfortable flirting. Anything more than that is said to be off-screen or rushed in a 5 minute interaction at the end of the episode, most of it being in a song.

Don't get me wrong, I loved watching Hazbin Hotel and I think it's amazing to see how far Viv has managed to get her shows, but I can't deny how fast the pacing is either and how it's been impacting the story. I know there was a certain vision they were trying to achieve for the finale with the next extermination- But we've only sacrificed important character building and relationships in turn for meeting these specific deadlines. Hell, 5 months go by in the first six episodes, and we don't even find out about it until Adam says it out loud!

I, like so many people, wanted so desperately for this show to do well, and I think it's brilliant what we've received so far. And I'm glad to hear there's even more to come, with a longer Season 2 for hopefully more meaningful character interactions!

But it's so obvious that so many things were sacrificed to make this story happen, and I just wonder what could've been if they dialed back the stakes a little bit and focused more on the main concept of the show.

A/N: Hello lovely people of Tumblr, time for my first story here on Tumblr. So just for context: this is set in Season 5, so Oliver's the Mayor, but I'm gonna gloss over most of the chaotic villainy stuff here. I've mostly let this take place in Season 5 so that Thea's age is where I want it to be.  Also, Y/n knows that Thea used to be Speedy and Oliver is the Arrow. Thea's 21 in this and Y/n is turning 22 this year.

"No!!!!!!!" You woke up with a start, breathing heavily. Panic closing up your throat, after a few more moments of heavy breathing, you start to calm down. It was just a dream, you thought. And yet, it felt so real, your deepest fear came to life, Thea leaving you. Speaking of, her side of the bed is empty. Just as you were beginning to wonder where she disappeared to, your phone buzzed. Picking it up, you let out a sigh of relief you didn't know you've been holding. It's a text from Thea, thank God if the dream had turned out to be real...

Thea: 

Hey, sorry I had to leave early, Ollie needed help down at city hall again. Happy birthday btw!!

You: 

Awww I was hoping I'd get to spend the day with you. Thx btw.

Thea: 

I know, me too sweetie

Putting your phone away, you get up and head into your bathroom to shower and start your day. Finishing with your shower, you got out and put on your work clothes: black slacks, white long-sleeved shirt, and a tie. You were a manager after all, a coffee shop manager, but still a manager nonetheless. However, in addition to your manager attire, you also grab an apron. While managers aren't required to do much with regards to the day-to-day operations besides overseeing the staff and handling the occasional customer request, you still liked to help out every once in a while. Sometimes because you're bored, sometimes because it feels bad seeing the few employees at the shop getting swarmed during the morning or evening rush hours, and sometimes because you have nothing else better to do. This of course doesn't go unnoticed by the staff there, they appreciate the gesture and some of them even go out of their way to demonstrate it: from helping you with the customer requests, to staying past hours to help you take inventory and close up shop.

Walking over to your fridge, you open it to find some breakfast, only to find a pre-cooked meal of eggs and toast refrigerated inside it. On it was a small note that read, Happy Birthday honey! Enjoy your breakfast. You smiled. Even after all this time, Thea somehow manages to surprise you in ways that just make you love her even more. A girl who's beautiful, fights crime, and can cook? You really are lucky to have such an amazing girlfriend, you think.

Anyhow, you sat down at your table and quickly wolfed down your girlfriend's handiwork, delicious, as usual.

Pouring yourself a tall glass of orange juice to wash it all down, you're quickly out the door and headed to your workplace right after.

You're in the coffee shop, after saying hi to the other employees there, you decided that today you feel like helping out a bit so you put on your apron and manned the cashier. Just as well, because the morning rush today is quite busy, within a couple minutes of your arrival you've already received the order from a dozen of businessmen and businesswomen, who after ordering are immediately back on their phones working on whatever deals they were trying to close. Sighing, you quickly passed the order on to Frank, the shop's fastest coffee brewer. After a "yes boss" Frank quickly went to work, 10 minutes, and a very angry coffee machine later, Frank comes back with half a dozen coffees already brewed and ready to go. Man, even after all this time, the guy never fails to impress you with how fast he can brew coffee while still keeping the taste the same.

"Thanks Frank," you said, "Having such a fast coffee brewer really helps the shop out."

"No problem boss," Frank replied. "When the manager is manning the cashier, the least I can do is make sure he doesn't get chewed out by the customers for slow delivery." He smirks.

"Say what you will Frank, I know you would pay good money to see that happen." you replied with a chuckle, to which Frank just shoots a sly grin at you, not denying what you just said. Turning back towards the customers you called out the six orders that Frank just brewed and just as they were picked up, a new set of customers came rushing in through the doors. It's gonna be a long day...

At noon, the customers were starting to thin out as most people head to an actual restaurant for some real food, the few who do come in are those who want a light lunch. With the lull in the flow of customers, your mind starts to wander. You don't just operate the cashier to help the staff or stave off boredom, you also do it as a way to remember the first time you met Thea...

A/N: That's a wrap for Chapter 1! Please comment your thoughts below! So next chapter will be a flashback about the first time Y/n meets Thea, and I think that in homage to Arrow, I'll be alternating Flashback and normal chapters. the Flashbacks will tell the story of the start of their relationship so the timeline will probably span more than one day, while the normal chapters are all set on Y/n's birthday.

see, it's scenes like this that make me so beyond angry about the direction they took this arc in Season 3, and is one of the main reasons why I can not bring myself to give a single shit about anything this show does anymore.

Like I used to at least pay attention for Harley and Ivy's stuff and their relationship arc, cause I'm frankly not a huge fan of the humor or the writing for a lot of parts (but y'all know I will typically put up with a lot for Harley content) (not to mention all the other issues the shows got) but everything I've seen and watched about Season 3 just insulting to the severity of Harley's story. Namely because of all the shit they decided to pull with this bleached eyesore and his idk not redemption redemption arc. It's disgusting. Who the fuck cares what his politics are?!?

And this is just so out of character for Ivy?? What the hell??

She. Was. Fucking. Murdered. By. Him.

Why does it feel like that Fact been brushed off as just a silly thing to have no hard feelings over?? She literally died. He fucking harpooned her through the heart and she died in Harley's arms.

Why is she gossiping about their shared little annoyances that've come from being in a relationship with Harley?? It's an invasion of privacy??

He's Harley's abuser and she's chatting with him like he's their mutual friend and this is just casual banter.

"Seriously dude? I'm not gonna do that thing where we commiserate over the person we've both dated."

And then she precedes to do exactly fucking that over Harley not breaking down a cardboard box. Wow, brava' there honey. you really stood your ground. Tf is with this characterization for her??

And like, instead of maybe bringing up this little pet peeve to her girlfriend in casual conversation, she'd rather get into a casual gossiping session with Harley's Abusive Ex Boyfriend where they're talking about all the little things that are just so bothersome apparently that she just has to confide in The Joker about it.

Like??????

Not to mention, but I'm sorry, the writers attempts to completely dismiss and gloss over Joker's real actions and the story they themselves fucking built up in Season 1 is so damn obvious.

"You know what I really loved about her though? The way she went along with whatever planned I asked her to do. Even when I knew she hated the idea."

"Well, you know, add that to the shit pile of reasons you were a toxic partner and a total narcissist."

I'm sorry? Toxic partner? is that all? just a toxic partner? is there not maybe a better, more descriptive and on the nose word for the type of man he was during his relationship with Harley? Like Abuser / Abusive Partner.

Because, news flash to the writers, there is and can be a difference between being toxic, having toxic traits, or a toxic outlook on relationships, and being abusive towards your partner.

and This is just minimizing the extensive list of shit he put her through and labeling it all as solely "toxic partner" behavior.

He's An Abuser Who's Shown No Remorse Towards His Victim.

Say the fucking word. It exists for a reason.

It's not "toxic", it's abuse. It was an Abusive Relationship. He was an Abusive Partner.

And Ivy knows that?!?!?!?!

Why is she sugarcoating shit???

"What Harley and I have is 100% different. We are equals. I'd never ask her to compromise herself like you did."

Like, Ivy could have put her foot down on that much, much clearer. Because it's almost like their relationship is different and it's biggest difference is not a simple "well I don't ask her to compromise herself."

But having Ivy say something like

"well, I'm not an abusive piece of shit who physically assaults her and berates her when she doesn't do what I want like you did throughout the entirety of your relationship because you're a narcissistic, abusive dickhead."

kinda brings up the fact that oh, right, Joker's a fucking domestic abuser,,, and boy do they seem to wanna forget that was the entire characterization for him in Season 1 because it doesn't fit his rushed, poorly done "redemption arc" where he did exactly nothing to deserve it, but got one anyway.

Cause, apparently, no one that gets ahold of Harley's character will just permanently kill the motherfucker and give him the karma he deserves.

Thoughts on Loki, Episode 2-5: Science/Fiction

Can these characters just cool it with the dying metaphors for one second? First we get pruning, which sends people to the end of time, which is basically purgatory. Mobius gets pruned, Loki gets pruned. Sylvie feels left out so she prunes herself.

Now that pruning is old, spaghetti-fying takes its spot this season as the new way to not really die at least not permanently. Not only does p-p-poor Mr. Victor Timely "die" heroically, we can assume everyone else got spaghetti-fied in the explosion of the Temporal Loom. And then when Loki gets the gang back together in Ep. 5, they get noodle-d all over again! Not to mention the poor record store guy, whose first reaction to the incomprensible failure of spactime was to warn and/or protect Sylvie. Aw, what a guy.

I have to confess I still don't understand the Temporal Loom. It's taking raw time and weaving it into timelines, and without it...time falls apart? Without it, time is "raw" and organized time doesn't exist? Okay, then how did the universe work BEFORE the Temporal Loom? Does every universe have a TVA and a Temporal Loom literally creating their timeline? Why does the fabric of spacetime literally depend on Kang? That doesn't seem right.

It would make more sense if "raw" time is still something people can live in, and the Loom was just organizing "raw" time for He Who Remains' timeline. But after Episode 5, it's pretty clear that the literal fate of the multiverse depends on the Temporal Loom working, and I find that a bit ridiculous. Hopefully I'm missing something.

I have a theory about Loki's time jumping. We see him meeting himself at different points in time several times in the show. He really seems fractured, scattered throughout time. What if this is what it's like to be spaghetti? Maybe each of these Lokis are a single noodle of the Loki scattered through time, and each noodles looks like a snapshot of Loki, until they glitch and twist and collapse on themselves, snapping to other times like a noodle attached to another end.

Does this theory affect anything? Absolutely not.

In the next episode, Loki, the fledgling God of Stories, will attempt to rewrite the Temporal Loom explosion so they can save the TVA and all time, always, because apparently the multiverse needs the TVA to function. As he keeps trying, we are sure to see more explosions and more spaghetti before he figures it out. And that leads me to my point:

Dying and being reborn with new knowledge is such an integral theme to Loki. This new Loki is a symbolic reincarnation of the Loki that that Thanos killed. He made friends, learned humility, fell in love, seriously considered questions about the greater good, and then acknowledged his power and responsibility as a voice in the reform of the TVA.

Whenever he experiences metaphorical "death", he learns information that changes his entire paradigm. When he's pruned in the first season, he goes through his own little Divine Comedy. He learns perspective about himself from spending time with his variants. He learns about Alioth, a pivotal piece of the multiversal war. And he meets He Who Remains, who changes his entire perspective on existence.

In Season 2, Loki's rebirth after the explosion of the Temporal Loom shows him his friends and their backstories, what gives them joy and why he wants to save the TVA so badly. With this new understanding of what he really wants, he is able to control his time jumping, as if he's been reborn onto a higher plane.

The fall streaming schedule this year has been a gold mine. There was Gen V, Loki, Rick and Morty (ironically the spaghetti episode is coming up...or is it on purpose...) and now even the return of Invincible. Loki has come really close to the quality of last season, and it does a good job of doing something really different and yet thematically the same to keep a coherent and gripping show.

Doctor Who: Immortal Beloved Review

Introduction

I'm super excited to be diving into one of my most favourite big finish listens so far and sharing my thoughts with you all. Man I'm so glad that I used The 8th Doctor Adventures as my Big Finish starting point as they're all incredible and highly entertaining.

Blown away especially with this one and I'm not even a Greek Mythology geek. This is gonna be so hard not to spoil as its a banger from start to finish. I've even talked about it in the Facebook group due to how much I've enjoyed it. Even if you don't want to listen to the whole first season of the Eighth Doctor Adventures Range, this is a 100% the story I'd recommend the most out of all of them. It gets dark so absolutely make sure to check trigger warnings for the sights that list them.

Really seriously loved the whole concept of this story and loved its inventive. Its a dark story with a lot of layers once you peel back all the layers and I don't think even a simple review from me can do how good this story is justice. If other Big Finish Stories are as good as this I will seriously sell my soul to bank my pockets full of Big Finish. I know Doctor Who is suppose to be for "kids" but I also love when adult whovians are acknowledged and we get content geared specifically towards us and this story, well it was certainly something.

What I Liked

Gosh there's so much I could praise about this story but I'm gonna do my best to simply it down and not give any spoilers because I don't want to ruin this treat of a story.

It may keep coming up in every single review but the performances are so damn good. Big Finish knows how to cast memorable and talented people who really do give it there all. Man everyone killed it and amplified this story from a ten to an hundred. Paul MacGanns Doctor is again magnificent in this story. His Doctor is so interesting and multilayered, he's developed a high lot compared to The Post Regen 8th Doctor from the movie and it's brilliant to hear. He really gets to show The Doctors darkside in this story whilst also balancing it with his Doctors wise sage nature. Sheridan Smith again killed it as Lucie Miller and again has allowed me to grow more attached to the character in this story. I love how Lucie has her own morals similar to the Doctor but she's also not afraid to stand up for herself. It's clear how much Russell T Davies got inspired by this character and made Donna Noble. Ian McNiece also perfectly portrays the sinister and "powerful" Zeus, he gave it his all in this role and a hundred percent delivers. Credit also goes to Elspet Gray who portrays Hera really well and puts her own unique spin on the role completely different from her mythological counterpart. Despite not being featured much Jennifer Higham and Anthony also give brilliant performances as forbidden lovers Sarati and Kalkin. Acting clearly runs in the MacGann family as I felt like Jake MacGann son of Paul MacGann although again a small role did great as Ganymede. Everyone did wonderfully so it's definitely worth giving this a listen to for the cast alone.

Secondly I absolutely adored the villians. It makes a nice change from the more typical and conventional style of Doctor Who villian. Considering how flawed they are in Greek Mythology I think it was super interesting to have Hera and Zeus be against a marriage but in a way that's not the reason you thing. When the twist happens it leaves you reeling on the edge of your seat. Really don't want to spoil anything as when everything unfolds it leaves you disturb and it absolute faces. The Doctor has faced things like The Daleks, The Cybermen and The Master but Zeus and Hera are truly on their own level. They're not like anything The Doctor has ever faced and that's great. You think Hera and Zeus are just these awful controlling parents but when the truth gets revealed it hits you in the gut hard and your in absolute shock. It's also just nice that for once we have a villainous couple as it breaks away from the usual format. Really hoping other Big Finish Stories have fascinating villians like this.

Then finally, there's the themes. Maybe because I'm a Star Wars nerd but I love it when sci-fi explores the consequences of creating human life and then dehumanising it. Its a trope that really makes you look at who's really the good guy. Please be rest assured that this is not your typical Forbidden Lovers story it's complex and so so much more. Clements through his writing asks the audience about the ethics of cloning and gaining immortality through hurting others. We're asked to think about human life and how we treat others. Listening to Doctor Who's take on this topic Star Wars has done through characters like the clones was fascinating. Stories like this are what truly help me connect with the sci-fi genre as Sci-fi should be used to have this ethical debates about the use of technology and how we treat others. Paul MacGann and Ian McNiece have a great chemistry with both characters confronting each other about their morals being super interesting. I also feel like we also get to see how far The Doctor is willing to go to protect the people he cares about. The moral clash of the story creates a truly wonderful deep dive into human nature. You may think you know what's happening but trust me when I say there's so much going for it underneath the service.

What I Disliked

Nothing absolutely Nothing. This story was perfect and everything I could have possibly wanted and more.

I was confused at some of the character choices for Lucie but sitting on it, it made sense to me and fit the context of the situation. She's in witness protection, doesn't trust anyone and also doesn't want corrupt technology to get into the wrong hands. Lucie did have her highlights in this story that I really appreciated.

Immortal Beloved may not feel like your conventional Doctor Who story but I feel like that's good and that if Big Finish sticked entirely to the same format as the show it wouldn't be as entertaining. I really appreciate this stories experiment style when I'm not even a huge Greek Mythology person myself.

Honestly I really want to give this one a relisten in the future as its earned it.

Conclusion

Best episode of this first story in The Eighth Doctor Adventures and A Must listen if your not so sure about listening to this first series of adventures. Immortal Beloved stands out in its own unique way and is certainly a story that I won't be forgetting anytime soon. Its so worth checking out trust me.

Listening to this left me so gobsmacked that I just sat their gaping at my computer screen. I love it when Doctor Who can pull my mind under the roof. Sci-fi is meant to be twisty even in the audio format. My emotions were definitely all over the place to the point I just rambled and info dumped to my mum.

Honestly listening to these 2006-2007 stories makes me to jump back into these earlier stories but based on my enjoyment of these I think I'll enjoy the otters. I'm so interested in all of the Big Finish catalogue now but understand that I have a tiny wallet and need to save my money. I am however am definitely gonna try check out some modern stuff including The 11th Doctor Chronicles: Geronimo and The War Doctor Begins collection.

I could only imagine how listening to this 8th Doctor Adventures Series for the first time when it came out. The writing is all very consistent as well as the quality. I'm seriously speechless myself. I'd do an overall series review but due to the quality, I absolutely think these episodes are worth being reviewed standalone.

Cannot recommend enough.

The Love Story of Jim and Yam

Part 2: Mutual pining, comphet regression

This is a three part analysis about Jam, every part covering one season. So, read part 1 here if you haven't. Friendly reminder that this analysis is built on non-canon views and headcanons, and thus will not always be what happened in "canon".

Season 2 starts with them as close as they always are. Sometimes I personally always have noticed is the LESBIAN FASHION they have early in this season.

One example out of 100. But seriously, they wear every single possible lesbian look ever in the span of like 6 episodes I swear.

In the start of this season, Jim is still dating Nico. But we slowly see how she feels like something is off.

This starts when he sings Linda to her. She looks rather uneasy as he sings it. Of course - in the context of the scene, a reason Jim is nervous because she just left him a terrible voice message and now he comes and sings a song to her? A love song, dedicated to her no less? Of course she's now very embarrassed - to the point where she can't even seem to focus on the song at all. It's even that she forgot about the song...

And in all honesty, even if she was focused on other things like deleting a message on his phone, she did not seem that impressed with the song - and I think she also feels guilty about not feeling as touched by it as she should be. Sure, it could just be due to the voice mail thing making her nervous and distracted, but I also think there's other things involved. "Oh no, he is my boyfriend and he did a really adorable thing, come on Jim where is the butterflies? He is your boyfriend and he loves you, why aren't you into it more?"

Jim absolutely does not want Nico to think bad of her. To the point that she can't admit her mistake to him, in case he would think bad of her. It's both that she as a person just does not like conflicts, but I think comphet also plays in here. She loves the idea how having a boyfriend sometimes more than... having one. Which eventually makes her realize that... she really only likes Nico as a friend. It's actually funny how quickly her love for Nico died down. Like it just happened all of a sudden. Maybe Jim realized something about herself...?

I recall they also said something about how, on the phone, when they aren't seeing each other, they feel like they want to be together, but meeting up in real life they feel more like friends. Which I feel is, that apart they romanticize the situation, but then it's not as romantic as they thought they felt. So they mutually decide to break up. After this breakup, Jim more and more starts to get out of the comphet field. And the further the season goes, the further she's into the "I don't need any man" thoughts - she's glad she has her gal pals over a boyfriend.

Yam on the other hand? She regresses back in comphet for a while, although not until the last chunk of the season. In the beginning, she still helps Jim with all of her weird boyfriend shenanigans and supports her through it all - she is there to give some moral advice to Jim when needed, too. But at the same time, she is actively supportive of Jim and Nico breaking up, even if she does not say it out loud. Example: This is Yam when Jim flirts with Nico...

Or even... when she stands next to him...

Hmm...?

She was aware she had feelings for Jim in the first season, but I think it has hit her more this season. However, admitting you're in love with your best friend is not really an easy thing, and she is not even sure if Jim feels the same. So she has to put those feelings down in favor of keeping her friendship with her - a friendship she cherishes more than anything in the world. So, with her pushed down feelings, she decides to go all in into her singing. And while Yam blossomed with her singing last season, this season is really when she goes off with it.

One thing I remember distinctly from her performance in the singing competition is that she said "this is a love song and I don't feel in love". I do think this is a half-lie. She's saying this to Jim, who if she said she was in love, Jim would ask who, when, what, etc. But I also think there is a truth in it - Yam does not want to admit she's currently in love, both because the one she's in love with is right in front her, but also because she has convinced herself she is not. "You can't be in love with her, so just don't be". But Jim tells her to think of a time when she was in love and Yam says she only can come up with "one example".

Yam does not sing Yes, I do to Ramiro. No matter how much the show wants to frame it as that. She sang it to "no one". Yet people are convinced she must've sung it to someone, that she must've sung it to a boy. Even when Yam says "I wasn't inspired by anyone" or "I sang the song to no one" she gets to hear that she's lying, and Jazmin even says that she'll find out and tell everyone eventually. Now, I do believe that her initial choice of song wasn't due to any special reason. I fully believe she chose it because she simply liked the song and did not sing to anyone in particular. But I do think that, when she performed, she acted as if she was in love to get into the love song, and thus thought of the time she felt in love. And, was that with Ramiro? Ramiro, who she argued with so much? Even when they dated, in fact then she argued even more with him? The dude she was ready to break up with at any moment? Was there not any other person she felt more love with? Also with this, I think Yam is growing more and more tired over people always thinking she has a crush on a boy, that she's thinking of a boy, that she should find a boyfriend... and eventually this takes a toll on her and makes her fall back into a comphet phase - thus, back to dating Ramiro.

In season 2B, Ramiro has started to become less self-absorbed and is on better terms with Jim and Yam. They become such good friends and, in the middle of denying her feelings for Jim and everyone expecting her to like and have crushes on boys, she decided "okay... why not give Ramiro another chance?". However, just like in season 1, they bicker a lot and I recall Yam even threatening to break up with him over some tiny thing at one point. However, it's a bit more stable this time. Maybe because they perhaps tried more than last time... but, it's clear to me that it's more that they like the idea of dating more than actually dating. I, side note, often switch between bi!Ramiro and gay!Ramiro, and so occasionally I wonder if he's even into it either or just pretends because he "wants" to, or it's some sort of beards they have with each other. I will discuss them more in S3.

I've discussed Jim and Yam alone, and with their boyfriends this season. But how are Jim and Yam with each other, then? The answer: They have a huge mutual pining.

I will never get over the couple's costume of the century that is the jin/yang outfits.

During a lot of this season, they are often off screen and the others wonder where they are. Several times they enter a scene like "here we are, we forgot the time" and the others slightly raising their eyebrows but shrugging it off. I've been thinking of how, for example, Luna and Nina know everything going on in each other's lives, but Jim and Yam does not really know what's going on with them (do they even know of Luna's necklace mystery or that they dressed up at a retirement home to find information on a dead man?) - at the same time, Luna and Nina does not really know what's up in Jim and Yam's lives either. And it's likely that there's some unknown things Jim and Yam talk about or do off screen, stuff we'll never know of, and we only know they were late or had to go due to some reason. What did they do on the way to "get some supplies" during the episodes of everyone cleaning up Roller, for example?

It's possible a lot of the time they sneak away together as an excuse to spend more time together. They can't get enough of each other. At this point, both of them have realized they feel something deeper for each other than just friendship. However, they start thinking opposite ways. Jim realized more and more that she's not interested in men, while Yam is starting to consider "okay, maybe I should give men another chance... I have no luck in women anyway..." This will all fix itself in season 3. Right now, they have a mutual pining that they don't realize the other one has too. And when we end the season, they're as close as ever, sharing a hotel room... with Delfi and Jazmin too, but due to it seemingly only being two beds, I guess Jim and Yam had to share one.

Also! I could not fit this anywhere else on the analysis, but: Yam's suit! For a while, she had been talking to Jim about how she did not really want to wear a dress. It was actually a whole thing that also was sort of in the background in favor of other things. But Yam had expressed how she'd rather have a suit than a dress. And then!!

SLAY!

Her wanting to wear a suit instead of a traditional "girly" dress, makes the impression she wants to explore herself and experiment what she likes and don't. I mean, I gotta say, both her and Jim have a range of different outfits - one day they look like retro punks, the next they wear brightly colored overalls. It's clear they like gray, white and black, but then they like red and blue in both light and dark shade. The next day they're in flannel, the next day in striped buttoned shirts... they're experimenting with their style and expression and it's very nice to see how you can determine the kind of style they have, even if they wear such different outfits every day.

And I think, with that, they also explore their identity. What they like, how they wanna express it... and who they like.

Get ready for season 3, where I personally think is when the girls actually started dating.

how would you rank the characters in s7 i assume cheryl and toni take the top 2 spot but everyone else?

yes, they are top two, always.

cheryl: forever my fav, but i think what they've done with her this season is so, so good. the way they've used the 50s to show cheryl's growth is on par with how well they're using it show choni's. i do think the difference in her is also a result of her not having jason related trauma, but it's also obviously showing how much she's matured over the course of the show. i'm just so proud of her every week and pray they can keep it up for just nine more eps.

toni: her best season, bar none. they've finally figured out how to write her and write for her, and it's both so satisfying to finally see and frustrating that it took them this long to do it. but this is the toni i always knew she was, and seeing her perspective and struggles has been so nice. my single complaint is that she's missing so many episodes. anyone that has a bad word to say about her this season is dumb and nasty and has no empathy for black characters.

tabitha: no we haven't seen much of her but i love her so much and i miss her so much and i just can't rank anyone else higher than her, sorry.

reggie: we haven't seen much of him yet but i already love him so much. it's so interesting to see such a different version of him and think charles is doing a great job. best boy for sure.

archie: i do not find most of his plots interesting and he's been kinda meh in the last few eps, but i can't deny that i've found him really endearing for the first time in seasons. i do wish they would pull back on the straight savior stuff a bit, but still. i'm charmed most of the time.

kevin: it's been nice to see him get some meaty stuff to work with again, and to not be made a villain for once. i wish the writers would give his relationship with clay more onscreen development, but i'm glad kevin's journey has at least gotten some focus and has been taken seriously. i really hope they take the time to show that it helped him with his internalized homophobia in the present.

midge: listen is it unserious of me to put midge so high? yes, but i think she's cute and i love her dynamic with cheryl and toni and i appreciate her existence when it comes to fangs and i don't care which way they choose to bring her back to the present (there's a lot of ways i can think of), just that they do.

clay: i really like this guy and think he's sweet and a great match for kevin and a great fit on the show and in the gang. i wish we knew more about him and still think he should have been a topaz to give toni a family as well as kevin a love interest, but whatever.

veronica: i'm happy to see her with a bit of her spunk back, but i will just always struggle to find veronica or her stories interesting. i think she started the season off strong but now she's just fallen back into boring business and family related plots or mooning after boys with betty. meh. still, gets point for variety.

betty: i usually love betty, but find her kinda meh this season. i understand what they've been trying to do with her and i think lili is doing a good job, but it just feels so repetitive every episode, omg. we get it, betty is horny and wants to fuck the patriarchy both literally and metaphorically, can she come up with something else?

fangs: i don't mind him this season at all and i appreciate that he shaved and cut his hair so he doesn't look like the nasty man he was last season, but it's not like he's gotten anything to do for me to enjoy. but i don't hate him so good for him.

jughead: ranking him below fangs... look how they massacred my boy. i grew to love him at lot in the time jump, but i guess i'm just never going to like high school jughead because woof. the fact that i completely forgot about him until i almost hit publish says it all. completely isolated from the rest of the cast, with the most boring storylines on the show that's largely just him and guest stars... it's bad for him. not even tabitha could get me to pay attention to him.

julian: he does his job as a villain well and nick seems lovely, but obviously he's last. the one good thing i can say about him is that i'm glad they went with him over jason because i hate jason and think they've beaten that dead horse more than enough, and i'm actually intrigued by the dynamic between julian and cheryl.

Why do you think Bylers get called delusional so often and are always compared to queerbait ships even though Byler is the ship where it was actually confirmed that Will romantically loves Mike (unlike every single other ship like Johnlck and Klnce) and there's a full season left to explore this love with Will as a main focus (unlike Dstiel). They are not the same in any way, so why are people still lumping Byler in the same category as these ships?

They also hated Jesus because he told them the truth.

ok, now, seriously, I can see why the GA doesn't think it will happen. Because if you just watch the show once a season comes out and then forget about it, you're really not following the story. And they don't think much about it and don't see beyond the surface level. So to them, Mike said ILY to El nine times, so that means he loves her so much, and it doesn't mean anything that he couldn't even write it or tell her when she was begging him to do it, nor that Will had to literally remind him about his painting that he gave it with a lie for him to say it. And to them, Stranger Things is only a show about monsters and a girl with superpowers.

But people in the fandom are another story. Milvns are often the ones who call us delusional, and it's because they're biased and want the story to end like they want. They like to pretend the things we point out about the narrative don't exist. And the other people in the fandom who aren't biased, I don't know how they can't see where the story leads, to be honest.

And idk why people like to compare byler with those other ships; like you said, there's nothing in common with them. We have a gay canon character in love with the other, and they were literally sidelined from the supernatural plot just to develop them. Season 4 was just the set-up for the final season. I don't know how more obvious it could be, but some people are also dumb tbh.

anyway, we were right about Will being gay and in love with Mike before season 4 dropped, and people denied it, but we were proven right, and that will happen again in s5.
