A series of guides on child-friendly places to visit in the Klang Valley is now available online. The areas covered include Ampang, Mont Kiara, Damansara and Taman Tun Dr Ismail.

In Ampang, check out Taman Tasik Ampang Hilir and Zoo Negara. Do remember that every first and third Sunday of the month are car-free days around the Golden Triangle in Kuala Lumpur so you can go jogging, walking, cycling, even skateboarding on the streets in the morning.

At Mont Kiara, head to the Bukit Kiara Country Club to try horseback riding or bowling. Learn more about science and technology at the National Science Centre.

Try indoor skydiving at AirRider or flowboarding at FlowRider in 1Utama Shopping Centre in Petaling Jaya. There’s also Kidzania at Mutiara Damansara. If you’re looking to get some exercise, then go to the TTDI Park for a quick run or hike.

The e-guides are available online from Happy Go KL, an online publication. There are also print versions available at selected cafes and outlets in the Klang Valley. They are creatively designed with an illustrated map and include child-friendly places to eat, get active, and even find outdoor hikes and activities.

“We wanted to make the city accessible and fun for locals and visitors, and the guides are hyperlocal according to the various areas in the city. They give kids a chance to get off their device, grab a map, tackle a puzzle, tell a joke or even learn some Bahasa Malaysia while they explore places in the city with their parents,” said Happy Go KL co-founder Jay Desan.
