Quick update on accessibility features for the Pristine Cut: Some of Ren'py's accessibility features — especially self-voicing — cause issues with consoles, to the point where they require re-development to work in those environments. This isn't on Ren'py, since it's not an engine that was built with the intent to run on consoles! (Big shoutout to

@SerenityForge for their incredible porting efforts) We're happy to invest in those development costs to make The Pristine Cut accessible to as many people as possible, but it's taken us a little longer than anticipated to get these changes implemented. Our current target is to release these features as a post-launch accessibility patch later this year. And that patch should be included out of the box for the physical editions of the game. If you require a screen reader to play the game and want to enjoy The Pristine Cut on day one, the PC/Mac/Linux version will still have the full suite of accessibility features on launch!

YES! In fact, I got to play it a bit at SerenityForge's booth at the last PAXWest, along with DDLC+. Here's a small sample of my pin haul :)

Most of it I have unfortunately just seen and not played, however. ManlyBadassHero is my go-to for gaming videos (I *ADORE* his Who's Lila gameplay, which I have rewatched maybe seven times over? I feel like if you check it out you'll immediately understand me like 10 times better and idk if that's good or bad haha), but I will admit Markiplier was my first let's-play love so I will always have a soft spot for him...

As for the game itself, I feel like just mentioning the cannibalism (lovely as it is) undersells it!!!! Let's not forget the time loops, the lovely bickering between the voices in the player's head, THE NARRATIVE AS A DIEGETIC AND HOSTILE FORCE THAT THE PRINCESS AND PLAYER ARE BOTH TRAPPED INSIDE AND CAN ONLY REALLY WIN BY ESCAPING ENTIRELY?? And the idea of a person literally changing based on others' expectations of them.
