#Sensei is not even that old and is a notorious workaholic so it would be weird if he is actually packing it in earlier than expected

I was snooping on my work's job listing site and found a posting that appears to be for the job description of the lab's sensei/rabbi/master of all things at the bench who has been here so long that he trained my boss for my boss's PhD (Relevant lore: RmfB was the thesis advisor/PI to my direct boss and is still the head honcho even though my boss is technically a separate PI). Now I'm freaking out that probably my favorite person in the whole lab is potentially retiring in early December (which would be, like, 15 months earlier than expected) and I will not have had the chance to a. get as much of their wisdom documented as I can and b. will not be able to have them train me into high containment and it's my own fault for being a fuckup/not getting my last thing to work before I can start actually training in.
