When you live in a place with some of the largest predators in the world, it pays off to be small. Despite having excellent sight, smell, and hearing, this sengi can’t make noises very well. Instead, they send vibrations through their hind feet that draws ants and termites to the sengi, which the sengi promptly eats. These sengi are generally monogamous where the male and female share territories. Surprising enough, four-toed sengi are ready to leave their mom and start having babies of their own after only 50 days.

when it comes to mating they really don’t give a fuck about their partner they just know their purpose is to make babies but they do live together still and make a home but it’s not like they’re in love

females experience menstrual cycles very similar to humans and they were actually used for research in the 40s so we could learn more about human menstrual cycles

these bitches move FAST in life ok im talking by day 15 theyre already leaving home and by day 41 they’re ready to mate

one thing I LOVE about them is they eat bug especially centipedes so I want one that’ll just keep my house centipede free

also they come from the Afrotheria clade which basically just groups them in with any mammals that come from Africa! other animals of this type include aardvarks and sea cows
