Day 4 - Favorite Pairing / Group

“Do you only have a crush on people’s voices, or for real, too?”

“Why do you care?” Marie replies.

The Secret Keeper shrugs. “We’ve been friends for a while, and you’ve never told me about that stuff. Not even as a secret.” He’s trying to feign indifference, but he really wants to know. Depending on who Marie’s real, not 'just-her-voice' crush is, it may determine if he's willing to share a specific secret with her. He doesn’t do that often with any of his secrets, but this one he especially does not share. It’s, like, the biggest of all the secrets he knows. It’s kind of the whole reason he started doing this whole “secret keeping” thing, which would make a great hook for his memoir if he could ever tell anybody it ever, which he can’t, but he’s thinking about it so hard that Marie can probably hear his thoughts with how much he’s thinking about it and if she knows then it’s not a secret anymore and isn’t that the whole reason he’s here right now— 

Anyways. It’s kind of a big deal to him. He knows that Marie isn't like the other horse girls, but he thought that was just about the 'horse' part. If it has anything to do with the 'girl' part... well, that would also be kind of a big deal.

oh I actually do have a cotc headcanon which is that the elders are the only ones who know the secret keeper’s real name because they occasionally have to call parents for damage control

George x Secret Kid would've been a fine ship, had it been implied in the show. I've seen someone excusing it as Secret Kid being, well, secretive, but they could've at least shown some evidence of interest. It seems like they only made it a ship out of a whim just to give the episode a good reason why Secret Kid needed his diary back.

I used to think that Bottled Blueberries only came into existence to give George last minute depth outside of the Tea Timers and because the crew felt like adding another ship just for the sake of it. But that last sentence sounds more plausible.

I'm gonna get destroyed for this but oh well, I have a headcanon.

I have a theory that George never had feelings for Sk prior to that episode. They may have had one encounter, but George didn't think much about him. He knew Sk, just not the fact Sk liked him. I think the reason why George was flustered at the fact that Sk liked him was the thought of SOMEONE liking him, having a crush on him. So maybe George doesn't know Sk very well himself, and his mind is just like. "Okay let's see where this takes us..." Still don't like the ship but I'm making headcanons to make it a tad more realistic and a deeper look on their last minute "chemistry"

I feel like George has high standards when it comes to romance. I have a headcanon George was that one friend where if someone liked Eliza or Jane, they'd talk to George first and use him as a messenger for that person to express their feelings for Jane or Eliza. It was never someone actually liking him in that way, not that George minded but it took him by surprise.

This may explain why we don't see them hanging out in the background, let alone uttering a single word to each other. I heavily doubt we'll get updates on them but who knows.

George may be experimenting with the thought of being in a relationship, and Sk was just the person for George to see if this would be something he'd like- Wait where did you guys get those tomatoes.
