Never mind the Berner Fasnacht. Here's the Schnitzupönks. 2024
Never mind the #Berner #Fasnacht.

I'm rambling about the Warners and Scratchy again
Okay so in issue #7 of the Animaniacs comics the Warners wanted to look at an executive board meeting, got carried away, Scratchy got in trouble over it because he was meant to stop them, and Dr. Scratchansniff ends up going insane:
Look at how they watch the van leave. They're literally making this face: 🥺
Poor things miss Scratchy already!
A new psychiatrist is hired, and based on the unimpressed looks on their faces they clearly want Scratchy back, even before it turns out the new guy is insanely strict (and also insane in general as the end of the story reveals).
So of course after a series of zany shenanigans the Warners do their thing and set things right by getting Scratchy back.
It's sweet (even if it's kind of in a twisted way considering they lowkey kinda guilt trip him by turning on the waterworks 😅) that even after they got him sent to a psychiatric hospital, he still misses them. This comic released in November 1995, so considering how their relationship in the show had developed by season 3 it makes sense.
I just like what this story says about the Warners' characters. Sure, when they're tormenting "special friends" they know they're being annoying. Even when they aren't and they're just interacting with people, they know that they're annoying a lot of the time, they embrace that. What others may view as annoying, they see as fun. But that's just it, they do what they do to have fun, they're snarky but not genuinely malicious (when unprovoked, at least). Just chaotic, playful and extremely boisterous, sometimes to the point that they get carried away, and that can lead to unintended consequences. This happens in the show sometimes (like in "Schnitzelbank" or "Fair Game"), but it's nice to see that aspect of their characters not 100% played for laughs.
Their actions had serious consequences that negatively impacted themselves and someone they care about. There's no punchline at the end of the story where they drive Scratchy insane all over again or anything like that, they're genuinely nice to him for the rest of the issue because (possibly purposeful pouring puppy peepers aside) they were genuinely remorseful about what they did. They're smart kids, but still kids at the end of the day, who sometimes find it hard to control themselves. This story reflects that aspect of their characters well, all the while scratch-ing (ha) that "Scratchy is the Warners' dad" itch in my brain.

Animaniacs reboot season 3 spoilers:
Ok I’m actually surprised but I went to the Hulu website and I was actually able to look at the pictures of the episodes. I don’t remember if I was able to do that before.
Nonetheless, thank you to the posts from people on Animaniacs tumblr making me aware enough to check.
So, this confirms a few things.
This is from the first episode since it has the seats in the background. Is that a LaMarche burp? Is…is that blood?
This is the picture they used. Ralph and Nora are so tall compared to them. I love Nora’s pointing to them. But why are they both dressed as guards? Wakko’s gonna bring something.
This is from episode two with the card game. I was way off. Lol
Pinky’s in his pageant outfit. Wonder why.
This is the episode three one. I’m happy cause the next pictures I was gonna post I’m pretty sure are in this episode. Which means I got it right. Ha!
These are the ones. They look like they’re just having fun causing havoc. I think these are the day in the life on the Warners lot ones. I would love to see them just causing chaos like they used to.
Ok this can literally be anything but it might be the same episode but at nighttime. Also Yakko’s face reminds me of the original with the eyes. He looks so maniacal.
This description is from Hulu.
S3E4
Not confirmed but gonna say
Fantasy/Über Nachtmare/Talladega Mice:The Ballad of Pinky Brainy
Is the first one a crossover segment??? Wait is Slappy in this one? Like a “What could have been?”
Episode 4’s picture. Look at Yakko! He’s so cute! Why is he the only one dressed up? His costume reminds me of the Schnitzelbank one.
Carpooling episode? Again? Uber? Still love a scratchy and the Warners episode.
This is from a short on Animaniacs twitter. They’re ordering food. Look at his face!
Ok so all the car ones I did last post might be for the desert musical festival here. Whoops.
Part 4

We're zany to the max!
Animaniacs - Steven Spielberg Presents Animaniacs (Kid Rhino, 1993) - Designer and illustrator unknown
Animaniacs became such a meteoric hit that a soundtrack hit the shelves within months of the show's premiere.
All songs in this album are from the show's first season. They're also the songs you've likely heard the most ("Schnitzelbank" is one of my favorites).
This album was reissued digitally by WaterTower Music (Warner Bros.' current music arm) in 2020, in time for the premiere of the recently-wrapped reboot.
