Farewell To An Old Friend...
My Amorphophallus after I brought them home on 7-1-17, #353-1. Hello everyone! I hope this post finds you well. It has took me a week to write this post because I kept taking more photos… Tragedy has struck… The above photo is of the two Amorphophallus I brought home from Wagler’s Greenhouse on July 7 in 2017. I picked this pot because not only were there two, but there was also an Oxalis…

Easy name: Voodoo-lily. Not a lily at all, but it sounds cool. Latin names: Typhonium venosum, Sauromatum cornutum. I bought a corm in Cento (Ferrara) about 12 years ago, and because that corm made lots of little ones under the soil, I have had these plants ever since. Great in a shady corner of a woodland or even in pots! Looks super tropical, but survives outside through the winter frosts if you push it deep into the soil. #typhoniumvenosum #voodoolily #araceae #hugeleaves #italiangardens #lamacchinafissa #readingretreatsinruralitaly (presso La Macchina Fissa) https://www.instagram.com/p/B1V4zoQoju9/?igshid=1vakx2jaj5h4b
