Shri Venkateshwara University/VGI Meerut commemorated the World Environment Day with a Grand Plantation Drive & Environment Awareness Rally.

Along with the UP Forest Department, we hosted a seminar wherein the speakers appealed to plant more trees and make India polythene free.

The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, Senior IFS Officer Mr SP Singh, & the Forest Department Senior Police Officer Mr. Amit Rathi inaugurated the event by offering flowers to Goddess Saraswati.

In collaboration with the UP Forest department, the Venkateshwara Group planted over 5000 plants in both the campuses & the national highway & pledged to protect & promote them.

These included Banyan, Parijat, Tulsi, Gooseberry, Neem, Jamun, Rudraksh and many types of plants.

On this occasion, we felicitated over a dozen constables, forest guards, rangers, DFOs, & Inspectors by presenting them a shawl & memento.

The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, reiterated it’s a wonderful coincidence that today is the birthday of our honourable CM, Mr. Yogi Adityanath.

To achieve PM’s mission of a clean India Green India, we should make it a habit to present plants on social occasions such as marriage & anniversary. This way we play our part in nation development.

Senior IFS Mr. SP Singh asserted the Venkateshwara Group is renowned for offering quality education & its social obligations. In this context, the UP forest department has aligned with Venkateshwara Group and planted over 5000 trees to improve the environment.

Shri Venkateshwara University hosted a seminar to discuss the importance of the new criminal laws that became effective on July 1st, 2024.

The School of Law at Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute hosted a one-day seminar on the importance of New Criminal Law 2023, aiming to educate students about the recent criminal laws implemented on July 1st, 2024.

University Professors, lawmakers & judges from different parts of the country explained the significance of new criminal laws & their application in today’s time.

A dozen law experts from Lucknow, Meerut, Bengaluru, Dehradun, Chandigarh, Delhi & Bhopal took part in the seminar.

The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri, CG & District Judge Mr. Zafeer Ahmed, & the Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.

District Judge  & Chief Guest Mr. Zafeer Ahmed asserted old criminal laws devised by the British gave the benefit of doubt to the culprit & harassed victims by delaying justice to them.

The new criminal laws will provide speedy justice to the victims, ultimately increasing their trust in the judiciary.

Meerut College Professor & Keynote Speaker Dr HS Rai affirmed the new criminal laws will provide speedy justice to the victims, which will increase their trust in the judicial system.

Dr Sanjeev Kumar Chaddha HOD Law, Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Central Law University, emphasized that the old criminal laws would harass the common man and favoured organized criminals by giving them the benefit of doubt.

Further, they failed to provide speedy and timely justice to the victims.

How do I create a superuser account in Django 1.9.6

I am reading a book ("Learning Django Web Development" by Sanjeev Jaiswal and Ratan Kumar) on Django, but the book is based on an earlier version of Django (prior to version 1.9). In order to populate the database with tables, the book uses the syncdb command:

$ python manage.py syncdb

Then the book says that terminal will prompt you to create a superuser account.

the syncdb command is no longer used in Django version 1.9 and up. After some research, it seems as if the migrate command populates the databse with tables, but it does not prompt the creation of a superuser account. How can I do this in Django 1.9.6?

Today, the Central Government notified the appointment of 11 Judicial Officers and 2 Advocates as Judges in the High Courts. Also, the transfer of two High Court Judges was also notified. The announcement was also shared on Twitter by Law Minister Kiren Rijiju, “In exercise of the power conferred by the Constitution of India, the resident of India, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, is pleased to appoint the following as Judges in the High Courts and also transfer High Court Judges.” The names recommended for fresh appointment of High Court judges were:

Also, Judicial Officers Manoj Jain and Girish Kathpalia were appointed as Additional Judges of the Delhi High Court. In addition, Judicial Officers Sanjeev Sudhakar Kalgaonkar and Smt. Anuradha Shukla were appointed as the Madhya Pradesh High Court Judges. Moreover, Advocates Pankaj Purohit and Rakesh Thapliyal were appointed as Uttarakhand High Court Judges. Apart from this, the Patna High Court judge, Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma, was transferred as a judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, and Judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court was appointed as the judge of the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court.

Today, while fixing the date of May 3, 2023, for the next hearing of the same-sex marriage recognition case Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud said that “the apex Court is dealing with a ‘very complex subject’ which has a profound social impact.” For the sixth day, the Constitution bench was hearing the matter. The other judges of the Constitution bench including Justice S Ravindra Bhat, Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul, Justice Hima Kohli, and Justice PS Narasimha were hearing a batch of petitions regarding the recognition of queer marriages. While hearing the arguments, various issues were raised in relation to adoption, and LGBTQIA rights. The matter now will be resumed as mentioned by CJI on Wednesday (May 3, 2023).

On completion of 1 year of the 2nd term of the Yogi Government showcasing the excellent work done towards women's empowerment, the UP Government along with Shri Venkateshwara University & the UP Police organized the Women Excellence Award function 2023.

We presented 155 Women Excellence Awards to participants from the Police, education, Arts, literature, sports and social service who did exemplary work in their domain.

The felicitation ceremony marked the conclusion of the 14 day Yoga Camp that took place at the University.

On this occasion, renowned Yoga Trainer & Chairperson of Karuna Yoga Foundation Delhi, Ms. Karuna Tyagi gave Yoga tips to the students & Staff of the University.

She exhorted the youth to accomplish the mission of Healthy India through Yoga.

लखनऊ। बाबा साहेब डॉ भीमराव अम्‍बेडकर की 130वीं जयंती पर डिजिटल सोशल मीडिया प्‍लेटफार्म पर बाबा शॉटस एप (Baba Shots App) को लांच किया गया। यह ऐप पूरी तरह से भारतीय सोशल मीडिया वीडियो एंटरटेनमेंट ऐप है। इसे जाने-माने निर्माता निर्देशक संजीव जयसवाल (Director/Producer Sanjeev Jaiswal) ने लांच किया। संजीव जायसवाल ने बताया कि इस एप के माध्‍यम से बाबा साहब भीमराव अम्‍बेडकर के विचारों को देश-दुनिया में पहुंचाने का काम किया जाएगा। अम्बेडकर के विचारों पर चलने वालों के लिए करोड़ों लोगों के लिए यह अपना ऐप होगा।

संजीव जयसवाल ने बताया कि भारतीय ऐप चिंगारी, टका टक, मूली की तरह ही बाबा शॉटस छोटी विडियो दिखाने वाला ऐप है। इसके जरिए देश-दुनिया में फैले बाबा साहब के मानने वाले लोग एक प्लेटफ़ॉर्म पर इकट्ठा होंगे और आपस में जुड़कर बाबा साहब के‍ विचारों को फैलाने का काम करेंगे।

बता दें संजीव जयसवाल ने कई फिल्में और वेब सीरिज बनाई हैं, जिनकी अलग पहचान हैं। वह फिल्‍म शूद्र के बाद से दलित समाज में अलग पहचान रखते है। संजीव कहते हैं कि बाबा साहब भीमराव अम्बेडकर के चाहने वालों के लिए यह ऐप एक तोहफा है। संजीव ने बताया कि शूद्र फिल्‍म के बाद उन्‍होंने दलित समाज पर काफी काम किया. इस दौरान कई ऐसी बातें सामने आई जो अभी तक किसी को पता नहीं हैं। इतिहास ने उन चीजों को जगह नहीं दी। इसके बाद उन्होंने बगावत, कोटा- द  रेजर्वेशन, मेरी आवाज सुनो समेत कुछ वेब सिरीज भी बनाई, जिसने समाज की आंखे खोलने का काम किया।
