SAHASRANAMA OF VISHNU: 528 of 1,000
ANANDAḤ OR NANDAḤ Bhīṣma had never expected anything from anyone. He was a self made man and proud of it. He also had a fairly good control over his thirst for material possessions, although he was fastidious about all things white, a symbol of purity, he was known as the Śveta Vīra – the valorous warrior attired in white – that was perhaps his only material weakness, otherwise he was contended…

Tumblr media
The Nimbark sect reveres Shri Hans Bhagavan as its first guru, who is considered the 22nd incarnation of Lord Vishnu, based on the 46 incarnations listed in the Panchratra Samhitya. According to tradition, at the beginning of creation during Satya Yuga, Lord Vishnu took the form of a four-legged swan. Accompanied by his divine symbols—Shankha, Chakra, Gada, and Padma—he descended to answer the questions of Brahma's sons, the sages Sanaka, Sanandan, Sanatan, and Sanatkumara. In this form, known as Hansbat, he provided them with the knowledge they sought.

"The One Rule." From the Rudraksha Jabala Upanishad, the Exploration of the Mysteries of the Metronome.
Tumblr media
In the next section, a group of sages ask Shiva about the rules for wearing the Hindu Rosary. There are several, but one alone is best:
The base of the Rudraksha bead is Brahma, its navel is Vishnu, its face is Rudra and its hole consists of all gods. One day Sanatkumara “the prince” asked Kalagnirudra “the fire at the end of time”: “O Lord! Tell me the rules for wearing Rudrakshas”.
At that time Nidagha (sweat), Jadabharata (a stupid man), Dattatreya (the three head lord of the world), Katyayana (the fit vehicle), Bharadvaja (the skylark), Kapila (brass), Vasishtha (revealer), Pippalada (given to pleasures), etc., came to Kalagnirudra. Then Lord Kalagnirudra asked them why they all had come in a group. They all answered that they came to hear the method of wearing Rudrakshas.
Kalagnirudra said: Those that are born out of Rudra’s Akshis (eyes) are called Rudrakshas. When these beads are even once touched by hand, one attains the glory of giving in charity two thousand cows at a time. When they are worn in ears, he gets the effect of giving out eleven thousand cows in charity. He also attains the state of the eleven Rudras.
When the beads are worn on the head, one has the benefit of giving a crore of cows in charity. Of all these places, I am unable to tell you the benefit when worn in the ears. Whoever studies this Rudraksha Jabala Upanishad, be he a boy or a youth, becomes great. He becomes the Guru of all and the teacher of all Mantras. Havan (the invocation) and Archana (the praise) should be done with these Mantras (of the Upanishad).
To give kindness to all persons as a set condition of the mind is the One Rule. This is the way a saint thinks and behaves. As the Sage says, even young children can be saints.

Vasudeva 25/769
The portions of heaven descend as people.
And he, called Vasudeva, endued with great valour, was among men a portion of him called Narayana--the god of gods--eternal. And Valadeva of exceeding strength was a portion of the Naga, Sesha. And, O monarch, know that Pradyumna of great energy was Sanatkumara. And in this way the portion of various other dwellers in heaven became exalted men in the race of Vasudeva, increasing the glory thereof. And, O king, the portions of the tribe of Apsaras which I have mentioned already, also became incarnate on earth according to Indra's commands--And sixteen thousand portions of those goddesses became, O king, in this world of men, the wives of Vasudeva. And a portion of Sri herself became incarnate on earth, for the gratification of Narayana, in the line of Bhishmaka. And she was by name the chaste Rukmini. And the faultless Draupadi, slender-waisted like the wasp, was born of a portion of Sachi (the queen of the celestials), in the line of Drupada. And she was neither low nor tall in stature. And she was of the fragrance of the blue lotus, of eyes large as lotus-petals, of thighs fair and round, of dense masses of black curly hair. And endued with every auspicious feature and of complexion like that of the emerald, she
became the charmer of the hearts of five foremost of men. And the two goddesses Siddhi and Dhriti became the mothers of those five, and were called Kunti and Madri. And she who was Mati became the daughter (Gandhari) of Suvala. "Thus, O king, have I recited to thee all about the incarnation, according to their respective portions, of the gods, the Asuras, the Gandharvas, the Apsaras, and of the Rakshasas. They who were born on earth as monarchs invincible in battle, those high-souled ones who were born in the wide extended line of the Yadus, they who were born as mighty monarchs in other lines, they who were born as Brahmanas and Kshatriyas and Vaisyas, have all been recited by me duly. And this account of the incarnation (of superior beings according to their respective portions) capable of bestowing wealth, fame, offspring, long life, and success, should always be listened to in a proper frame of mind. And having listened to this account of incarnation, according to their portions, of gods, Gandharvas, and Rakshasas, the hearer becoming acquainted with the creation, preservation, and destruction of the universe and acquiring wisdom, is never cast down even under the most engrossing sorrows.'"

Episode # 748 – Sanjaya tables his report on Yudishtra at King Dhritarashtra’s courtroom!!!
In the previous episode, we had witnessed Sage Sanatkumara giving an important accord on the various aspects of the “Brahman”. He gives a literal meaning to the famous Upanishad verse of “Purnamadah.. Purnamidam..” which explains how “Brahman” pervades through all of creation. In fact, “Brahman” is the one which is responsible for the creation of […]Episode # 748 – Sanjaya tables his report on…

When worshiped in the form of Indra, they bestow the opulence of the three worlds as Lord Vishnu. Contemplating upon Brahma's form enhances one's lineage, while meditating on Sanatkumara brings longevity. Picturing them as Prithu provides sustenance and prosperity. Worshipping in the form of Brihaspati yields the fruits of sacred rivers like Ganga. Contemplating the Sun form dispels the darkness of ignorance within. Worshiping in the form of the moon grants unparalleled fortune. As the Lord of speech, meditating on the form of Goddess Saraswati grants knowledge of the eighteen sciences. Reflecting on the aspect of Yajneshwara reveals the eternal Lord, bestowing the fruits of rituals like Ashwamedha. Focusing on the form of Kubera brings unparalleled prosperity.

"From Faith to Truth." From the Chandogya Upanishad, the Exploration of the Mysteries of the Priesthood.
Tumblr media
Faith is not the belief something will happen just because. Faith is a process that begins when one samples the truth, follows its trail, and after repeat experiences surrenders with devotion to the source of the truth. Belief in additional increments of truth from the source comprises faith.
Faith is not evidence of neverbefore seen, it never will be, indeed it cannot be. Clergy must not teach faith in any manner other than this.
As stated above, the greatest evidence of God's Graces is called civil society. All this- TV, roads, airplanes, medicine, long life in comfort should we be allowed, all of this came out of nowhere. How did this happen? Ask this simple question and then seek the knowledge of it and thence shall come the necessaries for all faiths.
Chapter XVI − The Knowledge of the Truth
1 "But in reality he is an ativadi (a Priest) who has become an ativadi by the knowledge of the True."
"May I, venerable Sir, become an ativadi by the knowledge of the True."
"But one should desire to know the True."
"Venerable Sir, I desire to know the True."
Chapter XVII − Truth depends upon Understanding
1 Sanatkumara (a Rishi, means Lover of the Truth) said:
"When one understands the True, only then does one declare the True.
One who does not understand the True does not declare It. Only one who understands It declares the True. One must desire to understand this understanding."
"Venerable Sir, I desire to understand.
Chapter XVIII − Understanding depends upon Reflection
1 "When one reflects, only then does one understand. One Who does not reflect does not understand. Only one who reflects understands. One must desire to understand this reflection."
"Venerable Sir, I desire to understand reflection."
Chapter XIX − Reflection depends upon Faith
1 "When one has faith, only then does one reflect. One who does not have faith does not reflect. Only one who has faith reflects. One must desire to understand faith."
"Venerable Sir, I desire to understand faith."
Chapter XX − Faith depends upon Single−Mindedness
1 "When one is single−minded in one’s devotion to the teacher, only then does one have faith. One who does not have single−mindedness does not have faith.
Only one who has single−mindedness has faith. One must desire to understand single−mindedness."
"Venerable Sir, I desire to understand single−mindedness."
An enthusiastic and bright student of the Sastric (valuable) aspects of religion seeks to learn the same things of which Solomon inquired from God:
Ecclesiastes 2:1-3
1 “Come now, I will test you with mirth; therefore enjoy pleasure”; but surely, this also was vanity.
2 I said of laughter—“Madness!”; and of mirth, “What does it accomplish?”
3 I searched in my heart how to gratify my flesh with wine, while guiding my heart with wisdom, and how to lay hold on folly, till I might see what was good for the sons of men to do under heaven all the days of their lives.
No stronger syallabus has ever been laid out for the reasons to study God’s Word, than the desire to be free  of madness.
How can we build up from this? All the way up?
Chapter XXI − Single−Mindedness depends upon Concentration
1 "When one performs one’s duties (i.e. practises concentration), only then does one have single−mindedness. One who does not perform his duties does not have single−mindedness.
Only one who performs his duties has single−mindedness. One must desire to understand the performance of duties."
"Venerable Sir, I desire to understand the performance of duties."
We have spoken of the enemy of duty called a vasana. A vasana or a bias is a thought-bending desire that our being follows without question.
This is positive if one is a pole vaulter and has rehearsed the desire to plant the pole and make it over the top.  Even still learning to pole vault is considered auxiliary not duty.
Duties which are prescribed bend the will the opposite way of a bias. But what is necessary if one is to cultivate the right vasanas towards duty so one’s soul does not resist and engage in rajas or tamas (anger or sloth)?
This topic is the sole preoccupation of all of the scriptures and complete understanding of how this works is a must for all parsons, politicians, and pilgrims.
Chapter XXII − Concentration depends upon Bliss
1 "When one obtains bliss, only then does one perform one’s duties.
One who does not obtain bliss does not perform his duties. Only one who obtains bliss performs his duties. One must desire to understand bliss."
"Venerable Sir, I desire to understand bliss."
Chapter XXIV − The Infinite is Bliss
1 "The infinite is bliss. There is no bliss in anything finite. Only the Infinite is bliss. One must desire to understand the Infinite."
"Venerable Sir, I desire to understand the Infinite."
Chapter XXIV − The Infinite and the Finite
1 "Where one sees nothing else, hears nothing else, understands nothing else−that is the Infinite. Where one sees something else, hears something else, understands something else−that is the finite.
The Infinite is immortal, the finite mortal."
"Venerable Sir, in what does the Infinite find Its support?"
"In Its own greatness−or not even in greatness."
2 "Here on earth people describe cows and horses, elephants and gold, slaves and wives, fields and houses, as ‘greatness.’
I do not mean this," he said, "for in such cases one thing finds its support in another. But what I say is:
Chapter XXV − Instruction about the Infinite
1 "That infinite, indeed, is below. It is above. It is behind. It is before. It is to the south. It is to the north. The Infinite, indeed, is all this.
"Next follows the instruction about the Infinite with reference to ‘I’:
I, indeed, am below. I am above. I am behind. I am before. I am to the south. I am to the north. I am, indeed, all this.
2 "Next follows the instruction about the Infinite with reference to the Self: The Self indeed, is below. It is above. It is behind. It is before. It is to the south. It is to the north.
The Self, indeed, is all this.
"Verily, he who sees this, reflects on this and understands this, delights in the Self sports with the Self, rejoices in the Self revels in the Self.
Even while living in the body he becomes a self−ruler. He wields unlimited freedom in all the worlds.
‘‘But those who think differently from this have others for their rulers they live in perishable worlds. They have no freedom in all the worlds.
To learn the aspects of duty that sustain oneself is verily the object of all religious instruction. From thence comes what is called Iswara Prasad, “the blessings of God.” First and foremost is the right to be one’s most level self.
To accomplish this the Sastras say observations of the traditions and then the convictions of the  Knowledge of the Self must be observed:
Chapter XXVI − Self−knowledge
1 "For him who sees this, reflects on this and understands this, the prana springs from the Self, hope springs from the Self, memory springs from the Self, the akasa springs from the Self, fire springs from the Self; water springs from the Self; appearance and disappearance spring from the Self, food springs from the Self, strength springs from the Self; understanding springs from the Self, meditation springs from the Self, consideration springs from the Self, will springs from the Self; mind springs from the Self speech springs from the Self, the name springs from the Self the sacred hymns spring from the Self the sacrifices spring from the Self−ay, all this springs from the Self."
2 On this there is the following verse:
"‘The knower of Truth does not see death or disease or sorrow. The knower of Truth sees everything and obtains everything everywhere.’
"He (the knower) is one before the creation, becomes three, becomes five, becomes seven, becomes nine; then again he is called eleven, one hundred and ten and one thousand and twenty.
"Now is described the discipline for inner purification by which Self−Knowledge is attained: When the food is pure, the mind becomes pure. When the mind is pure the memory becomes firm. When the memory is firm all ties are loosened."
This is a rather abrupt end to this section on the nature of the inner landscape of one who becomes fully acquainted with the Science and Technique of the Brahman.
Feels like we were just kicked out of the nest, doesn’t it?
