It was on October 14, when news about Mehndi and Fareb actor Faraaz Khan being in a critical condition surfaced online. Post which, filmmaker Pooja Bhatt took to social media and urged netizens to come out in support of the ailing actor and contribute to the fundraiser started by Faraaz's brother. Now, actress Kashmera Shah has taken to social media and has penned a long note thanking Salman Khan for helping Faraaz. The actress shared a photo of Salman on her Instagram and penned words of appreciation.

In her long note, Kashmera called Salman a true "human being" and also wrote that if people want to unfollow her for liking Salman, then they can do so. Kashmera and Salman have shared screen space in Bollywood movies like Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye and Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge. In an interview, Faraaz's elder brother and actor Fahmaan Khan has shared that for his treatment, the family needs Rs 25 Lakh and with the help of the fundraiser, they have been able to raise Rs 1,98,012 out of the total.

Now as per Kashmera's post, Salman has paid the medical bills. The actress' note reads, "You are truly a great Human Being. Thank you for taking care of Faraaz Khan and his medical bills. Actor Faraaz Khan of Fareb game is in critical condition and Salman has stood by his side and helped him like he helps so many others. I am and will always remain a true admirer. If people don’t like this post I don’t care. You have a choice to unfollow me. This is what I think and fee. I think he is the most genuine person I have ever met in this film industry @beingsalmankhan."

Yesterday (October 14, 2020), when actress-turned-filmmaker Pooja Bhatt shared on Twitter that actor Faraaz Khan, who has appeared in Rani Mukerji's 1998 film Mehendi, is battling for his life,

 Salman Khan came forward for help, and took care of his hospital bills. Now, Faraaz Khan's brother Fahed Abousher has thanked the superstar from the bottom of his heart and told a media portal, "It was very kind of Salman sir to call on us and foot Faraaz's hospital bill. He spoke to me for 10 minutes, during which he not only inquired about Faraaz's health, but also remembered my father (actor Yusuf Khan) and his respect for him. Salman also let us know that he is in touch with hospital authorities and asked us not to worry."

He further stated, "He is getting the best care possible now." Faraaz's brother further added that Faraaz had been pursuing his interests in music and horticulture, especially bonsai plants. He shared, "He has been keen on doing something related to growing bonsai plants, but his ill-health has been a little roadblock for him with regards to pursuing it fully." Earlier today, Kashmera Shah hailed Salman as 'the most genuine person' for taking care of Faraaz Khan's medical bills, and said she will always be his true admirer. Apart from her, many netizens also lauded the superstar for being so kind towards the ailing actor.

Actor Faraaz Khan has passed away. Earlier in October, he suffered from herpes infection and had three consecutive seizures. The actor was admitted to a hospital in Bengaluru as he had developed pneumonia.

The news of his passing was confirmed by Pooja Bhatt. She took to Twitter and wrote, "With a heavy heart I break the news that #FaraazKhan has left us for what I believe, is a better place. Gratitude to all for your help & good wishes when he needed it most. Please keep his family in your thoughts & prayers. The void he has left behind will be impossible to fill."

Ailing actor Faraaz Khan’s family has thanked Salman Khan for providing financial aid. Faraaz, who is hospitalised in Bengaluru, remains critical. The actor appeared in films such as Fareb and Mehndi in the 1990s. He is battling for his life after suffering multiple seizures, his family has said.

Faraz’s family had set up a fundraiser for him online, detailing his illness and listing the hospital expenses as Rs 25 lakh.

His younger brother Fahmaan told Mumbai Mirror, “We will forever be grateful to Salman Khan. May God bless him and give him a long life.” Actors Pooja Bhatt and Soni Razdan have also contributed to the fundraiser.

Salman’s contribution was made public by actor Kashmera Shah, who had written in an Instagram post, “You are truly a great Human Being. Thank you for taking care of Faraaz Khan and his medical bills. Actor Faraaz Khan of Fareb game is in critical condition and Salman has stood by his side and helped him like he helps so many others. I am and will always remain a true admirer. Details about Faraaz’s illness were shared in the fundraiser, posted by family members Farhad Abousher and Ahmed Shamoon. They said that Faraaz had been suffering from cough and an infection in his chest for nearly a year and it aggravated recently. “The doctor saw his condition and recommended that he gets himself admitted to a hospital as his cough was quite intense and to prevent any further infection, hospitalisation was the best thing to do,” they said. However, Faraaz suffered seizures thrice when he was being taken to the hospital. It was later diagnosed that he suffered the seizures due to a “herpes infection in his brain that had spread from his chest”.
