This week’s Tuesday Safety Tip is about Hazard Communication. The Hazard Communication Standard, also known as the "Right-to-Know Law" by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The purpose of the Standard is to ensure that the hazards of all chemicals produced or imported are classified and that information concerning these hazards is shared with employers and employees. This transfer of information is to be accomplished by means of a comprehensive hazard communication program that includes container labeling and other forms of warning, Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and employee training.
United Services is dedicated making safety information available to our employees and customers to further emphasis our safety culture. The credit for this week’s safety information was provided by OSHA.
