also if you're bitching out and going for DXM like me (or maybe you just prefer it idk) don't be fucking dumb look at your active ingredients and know what the max doseages for those are too if you want to 1) have a liver that works in the future and 2) not shit/vomit your actual innards out
#artificial sweeteners in syrups can also make you shit a lot btw that's in the inactive ingredients tho#and isn't necessarily dangerous but i think its worth noting#anyways just get pure it's safest#echoes from the void#i feel the need to say this bc i know i have some kids following me on here#i'm not gonna tell you not to do drugs#just be informed don't be an idiot#you live in the information age you have no excuse

i can’t win with alternative sweeteners. most sugar alcohols are bad for the gut, sucralose may damage the gut lining, and aspartame is artificial (i don’t do artificial.) erythritol miiight increase the risk of a sudden cardiac event.
safest is stevia and monk fruit. a stevia brand is mixed with sucralose and the other is mixed with erythritol. i might use the one mixed with erythritol because erythritol seems safest
i know i’m likely not going to get diabetes with my rigid diet of limited blood spikes but i care about my blood sugar so i have to find alternatives..

Well, he's set up a "drug metaphor" for each kind of art. The kind of art he hates is like weed, a drug that makes you chill (barring certain reactions, I know people for whom it makes Very Unchill Indeed) and probably also eat (this will make sense hopefully).
Bulletproof coffee is a coffee product named after the company that developed it, also a generic name within the circles that drink it for any coffee with butter in it (and also sometimes an additional and much fancier fat source). It's considered a health food around ketogenic dieting circles. Keto is a diet that, by aggressively limiting carbs, forces your body to burn fats as its primary energy source. It was invented to help with some types of otherwise hard to treat epilepsy, the brain usually uses carbohydrates as its primary energy source, so moving to fat messes with its metabolism enough that it can help reduce seizure activity, in exchange for an incredibly restrictive diet. Then people realised that the people on this diet tended to lose weight (because they're on a diet where things like beans, nuts, lettuce, basically anything from a plant is a luxury to be weighed and regarded with some suspicion and that really puts the kibosh on most enjoyable or spontaneous food experiences, and also doing it long term might fuck with your satiety cues) so it became a massive thing around the turn of the fat is okay actually sugar is the devil movement. It's popular especially around alpha masculinity praising dickhead circles because of a bunch of sociocultural factors, like how the "safest" foods are animal products because plants make carbohydrates and animals don't really, they feel it's more alpha because something something no rabbit food hunting is so primal, and because the right wing is obsessed with diet culture in general. There's a lot to unpack there and people who've done it a lot better than me, so moving on.
Bulletproof coffee is known to be quite the pick me up if you're not having carbs for breakfast and are otherwise starving, just use the packet product or melt butter (milk has too many carbs to waste, plus you've gotta try to get calories in any way you can, just rolling up balls of butter with artificial sweetener and eating them straight is also common) in to a cup using hot water, add the fat supplement and the coffee powder and you'll be able to go to work just fine, despite a large energy deficit and some fun metabolic stresses. He believes art should have similar properties to this, in contrast to weed which he considers the inverse and therefore undesirable experience. He wants art to get you to work and energize (specifically in a way that upholds a bunch of his social values) and not chill the fuck out and maybe not partake in those values.
It's still stupid and a little esoteric, but also expresses something really shitty.
Tag yourself as this list of “bad art” features, according to a twitter fascist
#am I mocks the concept of values for how much I fucking hate and will clown on people who think like this#or whining coping seething and a wast of time for writing it all out like this#probably confuses the mind#posts are always worse at expressing things than you hoped once you hit send

Understand the main components of kids' nutritious drinks and their importance
The market for wholesome kids' health beverages is expanding as parents' awareness of their health issues grows. Providing kids with the essential nutrients wished for healthful improvement and growth may be enjoyable and easy with the greatest wholesome beverage. Parental concerns about youth weight problems and the need to set up healthy habits at a younger age can be solved with an ideal nutritious drink option. The reaction of the market to this trend reflects a change in the focus towards the health and welfare of children.
What elements of nutritious drinks are beneficial for kids' overall development?
Children's health drinks are usually made to promote weight gain and overall health in children who may be more vulnerable to malnutrition. Additionally, they can guarantee that developing kids consume adequate amounts of vital vitamins and minerals through their diet. Rich with vital nutrients, these drinks support their general well-being, mental and physical development, and growth.
Rich in Protein Formulation
Since protein is crucial during a child's developing years, it must be a main ingredient in their healthy drink. Children often struggle to consume enough protein, and picky eaters may find it especially tough to meet their needs. To support growth, healing, and development in children, it is essential to choose the best nutritious protein powder.
Omega-3 fatty acid
Younger children's brain growth mostly depends on omega-three fatty acids. Encouraging your children to take Omega-3 fatty acid pills or capsules is almost impossible. The best and safest alternative is to select health drinks that have a reasonable level of this vitamin. DHA is one ingredient that you may notice when you read the labels. This type of omega-3 fatty acid is often present in a wholesome, kid-friendly beverage.
Vitamin D and Calcium
The growth of children's bones depends on both calcium and vitamin D. Strong teeth and bones are maintained by drinking nutritious beverages enhanced with these vitamins. These essential nutrients help kids grow older by lowering their chance of fractures and other bone-related problems.
Low Sugar Content
Consuming too much sugar can cause insulin resistance, obesity, and tooth problems, among other health worries. Therefore a good nutritious drink for children consists of little to no artificial sugar content and is sweetened with natural options like fruit extracts.
Proportionate Macronutrients
A balanced consumption of macronutrients including proteins, lipids, and carbs characterises the precise health drink for youngsters. Increased protein profile helps to build muscle tissue, while carbohydrates supply energy for mental and physical activities. The growth of the mind and the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins rely on wholesome drinks.
Conclusion
Drinks high in nutrients provide essential nutrients for children's growth and development. Their well-balanced makeup promotes a strong immune system, healthy bones, and cognitive performance. These drinks offer a significant nutritious benefit for kids and make an enormous impact on their general health when included in their meals.

Hazardous Cookout Foods for Dogs
With warmer weather comes the chance to fire up the grill and enjoy a cookout. Dog owners may be tempted to let their dog have a taste of the delicious grilled foods. However, many cookout foods are not safe for dogs to eat. Here are a few tips on foods to watch out for:
Hazardous Cookout Foods
Bones
What’s better than a nice juicy grilled steak or barbecued ribs or chicken wings? But sharing these with your dog is a dangerous idea. Dr. Jerry Klein, AKC chief veterinary officer, warns that you should never give your dog cooked bones of any kind. They splinter into shards that can cause choking and serious damage to the dog’s mouth, throat, or intestines.
Raw Meat
Raw steak or hamburger patties can contain bacteria, such as salmonella and E. coli that can be harmful to dogs, as well as people. Keep a careful eye on the meat as you prepare the grill because the aroma will definitely get your dog’s attention, and he may try to sneak a tasty morsel.
Hot Dogs
Hot dogs often contain ingredients that are not good for dogs, such as sodium nitrate, which has been linked to cancer; monosodium glutamate (MSG); and sugars or artificial sweeteners. Hot dogs also contain seasonings, such as garlic and onion powder, that are toxic to dogs. The biggest problem with hot dogs is salt. Feeding your dog even one-half of a hot dog would probably put him way over his daily sodium limit, and too much sodium can lead to dehydration and high blood pressure. Another issue with hot dogs is that they are a choking hazard.
Toppings
Garlic and onions can cause stomach upset in dogs, and sometimes have even more serious side effects. Raw or cooked, fried or powdered, onions, and the rest of the allium family (garlic, shallots, leeks, and chives) are all harmful to dogs. Onions contain a toxic compound that causes a breakdown of red blood cells, leading to anemia in dogs.
Ketchup, while not toxic for dogs, is best left off of the foods you share with your canine pal. In addition to tomatoes, commercial ketchup typically contains garlic and onions, cinnamon, sugar and salt, preservatives and chemicals – and many of these ingredients can have detrimental effects on dogs. Mustard can upset a dog’s stomach and cause vomiting.
Corn on the Cob
Corn on the cob is a summertime staple, and although a small amount of corn won’t hurt, you should not share your corn on the cob with your dog. There is a risk that he will choke on it, and if he ingests the cob, it can cause a serious intestinal blockage. So, unfortunately, it’s not a food you should allow your dog to gnaw on.
Salty Snacks
Potato chips, pretzels, peanuts, and popcorn – all make nice portable snacks when you eat outside. But too much salt can lead to sodium ion poisoning in dogs, causing vomiting, diarrhea, tremors, fever, and seizures – and can even be fatal.
Chocolate
Whether it’s eaten in ice cream, cake, or straight on, chocolate is dangerous for dogs, and depending on the type and amount of chocolate consumed and the weight of your dog, it could cause a serious medical emergency. So the safest path is to avoid giving your dog chocolate at all times in any form.
Ice Cream
Although it’s refreshing, ice cream is a milk-based product, and dogs’ bodies are not designed to digest milk after they are weaned as puppies. Since ice cream is made with milk, feeding your dog ice cream could lead to gas, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, or vomiting.
Alcohol
An ice-cold beer, a mojito, or margarita may sound refreshing, but don’t let your pup dip into any alcoholic beverages. Alcohol toxicity is not very common, because dogs are not innately drawn to alcoholic beverages. However, they may be attracted to fruit-based drinks, cocktails, punches, ciders, seltzers, and foods with alcohol as a key ingredient. Another serious consideration is diet alcoholic beverages or other mixers that may contain Xylitol, an artificial sweetener, which is highly dangerous, and even fatal, if consumed by a dog.
Caffeine
Caffeine can be fatal for dogs. This includes the beans and grounds for coffee, hot tea and iced tea, sodas with cola, energy drinks, and chocolate drinks. Their high sensitivity to caffeine can cause dogs to experience hyperactivity, increased heart rate, and cardiac arrhythmias, high blood pressure, tremors, seizures, vomiting and diarrhea, a high fever, and coma.
Leftovers
Most dogs will be attracted to the grill, especially when you cook meat. Don’t let them lick up the fat that drips from the meat because it is rich in oils that can cause pancreatitis. Symptoms include: vomiting, diarrhea, intense abdominal pain, hunched back, weakness, and fever, and pancreatitis is life-threatening if untreated.
If you have a charcoal grill, be aware that although charcoal isn’t poisonous, it may upset your dog’s stomach if he eats it. It commonly causes vomiting, diarrhea, and loss of appetite. Large pieces could also lead to obstruction and choking.
What Should I Do If My Dog Eats Something Toxic?
If you think your pet has gotten into something potentially toxic, call your veterinarian right away. When it happens outside of office hours or any time, day or night, weekends, and holidays, you can call Pet Poison Helpline at 800-252-7894 for help.

Mistakes I used to make and now that I am aware of them and I corrected them, things are getting better:
1) Artificial sweeteners abuse, including the ones in drinks and chewing gum: maybe they are calorie free, but at long term they have the same effect as if you were having plain sugar. Some of them, specially saccharine, are given to livestock to increase their appetite and make them eat more! So same effect have in humans... the "safest" sweeteners I know are eritritol and stevia (they are natural extracts from plants). Since I quitted saccharine I don't have food cravings 0.0°
2) Dry fasting: don't ever fast without drinking any liquids! During your fasts, fill your stomach with water and unsweetened teas and tisanes.
3) Eating too late: it's proven that approximately from 8 pm to 12 pm our appetite gets out of control. It will be harder to restrict if you eat after 7.30 pm...

I loved jump rope. If a crystal ball could tell you the truth about anything, what would you want to know? Eek... idk. Actually, I might know. I want to know, but also don't, if whether or not how I treated Jason after the breakup was abusive or not. I've asked people in my life, old therapist included, if it was from what I told them (which was honest), and the unanimous answer has been no, that I was sick/actually insane and heartbroken beyond words, but yeah. I still wonder about it. Do you have a bucket list? If so, what are the top three things? Not really, but I mean of course there's things I wanna do, top two (idk about three) being to meet Mark and visit the KMP to photograph and pet the meerkats. Do you feel you had a happy childhood? For the most part, yeah. When did you last cry in front of another person? Last week when I was having a meltdown about school. How do you feel about tattoos and piercings? Explain. I LIVE!!!!!!!! FOR THEM!!!!!!!! As someone who never felt totally comfortable in her body, one thing that has always helped me has been new tats and piercings. It's like a more permanent form of make-up, you could say. All they've ever done is make me like a part of myself. Do you wear a lot of makeup? Why/why not? I almost never do unless I want to take a "pretty" picture. Talk about a song/band/lyric that has affected your life in some way. JINKIES!!!!!!! UHHHHHHH man that's hard 'cuz there's a whole whoppin' load. I guess I can talk about some lyrics from Ozzy's "Life Won't Wait" that used to make me really emotional back in the dark days: "Every day that you wait, you're falling faster / no sleight of hand, no twist of fate, no ever after / when it's gone - it's gone, a fight to the bitter end." Just that whole song used to sting so much when I felt like I really was just entirely wasting my life being sad every day. Just like... a lot of Ozzy's lyrics have really resonated and stuck with me. I still have the hardest time believing the Parkinson's news. God, life's cruel. Poison a legendary singer's voice. I hope, so long he feels truly capable, this concert still happens so I can actually hear and see him one time and literally sob and okay I'm getting emotional basically I Love Ozzy Osbourne. List the concerts you have been to and talk about how they make you feel. Ha, speaking of concerts. Only seen Alice Cooper, but it was aaaaaaamazing! Outside in a (mostly light) thunderstorm playing some classic good shit. It was a fun adventure, especially having my younger sis, a full-on redneck, come along just because she was bored and came for the ride. She was so, so, SO confused and creeped out and was NOT fucking happy when he brought his python on stage as he usually does. We were absolutely drenched when it was over; the ride home, we were freezing, and changing out of those soaked clothes was like a holy experience. Who in the world would you most like to receive a letter from and what would you want it to say? Jason telling me he forgives me and doesn't hate me. Do you have a desk/workspace and how is it organized/not organized? I don't, sadly. My bed is where I do like... everything, which I hate. I'd love to turn my sister's old room into like my "work" room, where I do homework, draw, etc., but I can't for a number of reasons. What is your night time routine? Go to the bathroom, take my meds, go to bed. Not very complicated. What’s one thing you don’t want your parents to know? Certain places I've "done things" oops. If you had to dye your hair how would you dye/style it and why? I wanna dye my hair lilac currently. I wouldn't change the style. What’s the worst thing you’ve ever done while drunk or high? N/A What’s one thing you would never do for one million dollars? Murder, to name just one. If you’re a boy, would you ever rock black nail polish? If you’re a girl, would you ever rock really really short hair? My hair is short now. What is the most important thing to you in your life right now? My mental health.

Can Dogs Eat Marshmallows? No, But Here Are 2 Kinds Dogs CAN Eat
Originally Posted On: https://rockykanaka.com/can-dogs-eat-marshmallows-no-but-here-are-2-kinds-that-are-safe/
As a sweet treat, nothing is as yummy as a marshmallow (especially in a s’more). Squishy, sticky fluffy deliciousness, marshmallows are a delightful way for people to indulge in a bit of sugar. But what about dogs? Can dogs eat marshmallows?
MY OTHER VIDEOS
I know it seems crazy. Who gives their dogs marshmallows anyway? But a quick search shows that there are over 12,000 Google searches per month on “Can Dogs Eat Marshmallows.”
The safest, shortest answer is no, dogs cannot eat most marshmallows. There are a wide range of brands on the market, and the simple fact is that a majority of them contain at least one ingredient that is toxic or harmful to dogs.
Keep scrolling to find out 2 kinds of marshmallows that are safer for dogs. I’m not saying that any marshmallows are good for dogs but at least these won’t send them to the hospital.
Why Can’t Dogs Eat Marshmallows?
There are a few reasons why dogs should not eat marshmallows. Beyond the basic ingredients, marshmallows are extremely unhealthy.
But Can dogs eat marshmallows that are entirely free of the bad stuff? Yes, if you find the right ones. If you take a 100 calorie marshmallow from a pet-safe, xylitol-free marshmallow brand, you’ll find that 97 calories will be nothing but sugar and filler!
For both dogs and people, a treat that’s 97% fluff isn’t healthy. Just as we, as humans, need to moderate our own diets, we need to do the same for our pets.
However, in the quest to determine whether or not dogs can eat marshmallows, it’s useful to understand why they shouldn’t. Here are 5 reasons.
1. Xylitol
The most immediate cause for concern when feeding your dog marshmallows is xylitol. This substance is classified as a natural sweetener and is commonly used as a replacement for sugar. For humans, this offers us the chance to enjoy something sweet without the known ramifications of excessive sugar intake, but the same is not true for our canine companions.
The Food and Drug Administration has released a comprehensive explanation of why xylitol is toxic to pups. Unlike people, when dogs digest xylitol, it causes a massive and rapid release of insulin into their blood. As a result, the dog’s blood sugar drops. This is known as hypoglycemia, and it sets in 10–60 minutes after xylitol is first ingested.
In addition to marshmallows, there are an array of products that contain xylitol, including:
Mouth wash
“Reduced fat”, “no sugar”, and “sugar-free” variants of sweet treats
Some toothpaste
Some brands of peanut butter
A large amount of “diet” foods
Breath mints and chewing gum
Sugar-free desserts, particularly “skinny” ice cream
Symptoms of Xylitol Poisoning
It doesn’t take a lot of xylitol to endanger the life of your beloved buddy! If your dog ever eats anything that may contain xylitol, such as a marshmallow, it’s best to act first and worry later. Even before symptoms appear, it’s best to call poison control or a veterinarian. The symptoms of xylitol poisoning in dogs are:
Vomiting
Lethargy
Lack of appetite
Sudden collapse
Difficulty walking

2. Sugar & Corn Syrup
Marshmallows that do not contain xylitol will often contain sugar or corn syrup. While neither of these ingredients are necessarily toxic to dogs, they’re certainly not healthy! Dogs, like people, need to have a balanced diet, and marshmallows do not factor into a well-rounded puppy meal plan.
Should Dogs Eat Sugar?
While a well-rounded canine diet will typically include some sugar, this sweet flavoring is not something that should be artificially introduced. As with people, a sweet-toothed dog risks familiar ailments such as cavities, obesity, and diabetes. Prolonged exposure to excessive sugar can even cause metabolic changes in a dog, which may result in altered moods and energy levels.
Should Dogs Eat Corn Syrup?
Corn syrup poses the same risks as sugar. Dogs with an excessive amount of corn syrup in their diet are just as prone to diabetes and weight gain as dogs with excessive sugar.
Both sugar and corn syrup are technically safe for dogs to eat. In exceedingly small amounts, it is fine to feed your dogs sugar and corn syrup, but it should never be provided in excess. Larger dogs will be able to handle more than small dogs, but all dogs must be closely monitored for signs of diabetes and hypoglycemia.
3. Artificial Flavors & Dyes
Another thing to watch out for is artificial coloring. There are a variety of brands on the market that mix a bit of flavoring into their marshmallows. In some cases, they may even dye the marshmallows different colors. While these components, often labeled with names such as “Red 40” or “Blue 2”, are not necessarily harmful, they’re not something you want your dog to ingest in excess.
Similarly, there are some brands and varieties of marshmallows that contain artificial flavoring. Again, most of these ingredients are safe. However, you don’t want your dog chewing on something that’s packed with artificial flavors and chemicals.
4. Preservatives
There are some chemicals, like xylitol, that are perfectly safe for humans but harmful to dogs. Three major marshmallow preservatives fall into this category: BHA, BHT, and ethoxyquin. All three of these products are and have been used to boost the shelf life of marshmallows, which are prone to rapid hardening and spoilage without additional preservatives.
It should be noted that these preservatives make up an extremely small portion of a marshmallow’s ingredients. In fact, per federal regulations, ethoxyquin can be no more than 0.5% of a marshmallow’s total composition. Nonetheless, it’s often safer to avoid these ingredients altogether.
If a dog consumes an excessive amount of marshmallows, that small percentage can add up. All three of these preservatives are known to exacerbate allergies. Studies suggest that BHA, BHT, and ethoxyquin may even cause dogs to develop new allergies.

5. Choking Risk
Even a perfect marshmallow that meets every requirement to be dog-friendly will have one final trick up its sleeve. Unless properly cut up and served as tiny bite-sized pieces, many marshmallows pose a huge choking risk for dogs. For particularly small dogs and toy breeds, even a miniature marshmallow can be a choking hazard.
Are There Safer Marshmallows for Dogs?
If you really want to give your dog a marshmallow, these options will be safer for your dog.
1. Max Vegan Mallow – sugar free, xylitol free, no artificial flavors
Of all of the marshmallows brands I looked at these seem to be the safest. They DON’T contain xylitol, theu’re sugar free, gluten free, soy free and non GMO. The flavor is natural, and the preservative is made from seaweed. It also contains MCT oil which is super healthy. The sweetner is allulose which is a natural sugar found in figs, dates and raisins. It isn’t toxic to dogs according to The Journal Of Veterinary Medical Science. NOTE: You MUST buy the vegan version. Their normal one has xylitol which is toxic to dogs.
Can dogs eat marshmallows? Yes, they can eat these in moderation. You can buy these healthier marshmallows on Amazon.
2. Make Your Own Marshmallows
Good news! We found two recipes that would be safer for your dog. Bad news, you have to make them yourself. But just think of the fun you’ll have and the peace of mind knowing that your dog is getting a safe ‘mallow. Each of these uses a different sweetener.
1. Honey Or Maple Syrup Marshmallows
This recipe from Wellness Mama takes about 25 minutes to make from start to finish. I love it because it also includes marshmallow root powder which is a wonderful anti inflammatory.
Ingredients

What to Do If Your Dog Eats A Marshmallow WIth Xylitol?
If in the process of baking something, your dog scoops up a few miniature xylitol-free marshmallow, it isn’t an emergency. If your dog eats any amount of xylitol, it is automatically a veterinary emergency.
Call Your Vet
Should your beloved pooch eat more than a few marshmallows in a single sitting, then the best course of action is to consult with a veterinarian. While it is preferable to call your veterinarian, any available professional is a valid choice.
Remember: never try and treat the problem yourself! You are likely to do far more harm than good. In addition to the stress this will cause your pet, trying to medicate or treat your dog alone is likely to result in injuries to both parties.

Call the Pet Poison Hotline
If no vets are available to help, then it’s time to try another resource. The Pet Poison Hotline is an amazing resource, and it operates 24/7. They may be reached at (855) 764-7661. When contacted, their expert team will walk you through what to do and how to address the issue. This may involve bringing your dog to a professional all-hours emergency clinic.
Better Sweet Treats for Your Pooch
If you want your dog to experience the sweet deliciousness of a marshmallow, then there are much safer options available. In addition to pre-made treats and baked goods, you can treat your pooch to natural foods!
Fruits
There are many fruits on this planet, and many of them are perfectly safe for your dog to eat. In addition to their sweet taste, many fruits also offer a few nutritional benefits to dogs. To replace a marshmallow, some of the best picks are:
Seedless watermelon without the rind
Frozen orange slices
Apples
Puppuccinos
For owners with their hearts set on a sweet treat for a very special occasion, then the puppuccino is your best bet. You can purchase them at a store, but the best way to provide a puppuccino is to make it yourself! Rocky’s famous pumpkin puppuccino is specially formulated for dogs, so it won’t cause any tummy aches afterward!

Marketing Lies, part 4: Coconut Oil & Coconut Milk (pure white evil :)
Everyone know butter isn’t good for you, and if you do choose to consume some it should be rarely and in small quantiles. But why? What’s the scientific reason behind that? It’s because butter is ~50% saturated fat.
Yet, marketers never mention that the coconut oil they try to sell you in gorgeous-looking jars is almost COMPLETELY (~98%) unabsorbable because it’s ~98% saturated fat (which means “unusable by a human body” since the lipid bonds have been saturated, so the body can’t do anything with it and now has to struggle to slowly remove that gunk out of you because it clogs your organs so thoroughly. That’s why they say coconut oil is the “safest oil to cook with” – because nothing will happen to it ever at 150 C° – it’s almost indestructible = unchangeable, even at those ultra-high temperatures. Which means – definitely unusable in a body at a mere 36 C° – if the darn thing won’t even break down or change in any way at flesh-killing temperatures.
And isn’t the digestive process all about “breaking things down into smaller, usable components that the body can use to build new things with”?
Wouldn’t you now agree it’s safe to say: “This means coconut oil is 98% harmful.”
Yet the smart marketer are still PROUD to tell you “But it’s ORGANIC, it’s RAW, and it’s VIRGIN oil!”Who the fuck gives a fuck, when the thing is an organ-clogging sludge, thus 98% seriously harmful?
Sorry, sometimes I just get upset at selfish liars, who’s entirely-avoidable lies are deeply harming hundreds of millions of people and making their lives a lot more miserable by making them tired through clogging their organs. And that lack of energy and depleted enthusiasm for life automatically makes them worse employees, spouses, and parents (the kids don't feel loved much because their parents spend little quality time with them – because they’re TIRED or need to go sleep/veg-out). Which gradually ruins even more lives.
And as you can guess, coconut oil & nuts are far from the only issue. Keep reading for the rest of the lies you’ve been told that make harmful things seem like “A good thing to buy!” It’s like saying, on a pretty label: “BUY our rat poison! It’s very high in Vitamin B, C & E, and it’s a great source of Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium – a single serving will completely satisfy your daily requirement for those 3 key mineral!” They just remove the word “poison” and omit to tell you that it’ll also kill you if you take a few dozes of it. Or cause brain damage – like MSG in chips & and the artificial sweeteners in the zero-calorie “Diet drinks” that are actually much worse for your health than even the highly-acidifying 50%-sugar counterparts.

Can Dogs Eat Vanilla Bean Ice Cream?
New Post has been published on https://www.petculiars.com/can-dogs-eat-vanilla-bean-ice-cream/
Can Dogs Eat Vanilla Bean Ice Cream?
You can offer your dog ice cream but not any type of ice cream is good for them. When you offer something to your dog it is important to know all the ingredients of the food and be aware of the dog’s intolerances, allergies, and health record.
As long as your dog isn’t lactose-intolerant there is no harm in giving it a scoop or two of ice cream, on special occasions, but you should avoid vanilla ice cream. Vanilla extract is quite toxic for dogs and if you add the fact that vanilla ice cream contains a lot of sugar, it results in a big NO-NO. Sugar will never be useful for your dog, it will just make it sick and harm its health.
You might also like my articles on whether dogs can eat kettle corn, freeze-dried strawberries, or fruit roll-ups.
Instead of sharing the ice cream intended for human consumption with your canine friend it is recommended that you offer your dog a healthy and nourishing ice cream, made by yourself, using fruits that are good for the animal, such as apples or bananas.
As in all, moderation is essential. Too many snacks along with an unhealthy diet can lead to canine obesity and this can cause damage to your dog’s body. This will happen especially if your dog is prone to joint problems, such as hip dysplasia.
What potential health problems can arise?
Intolerance to lactose
Many types of ice-creams include frozen dairy products, such as frozen yogurt. Although in some cases these may be offered in small portions, they may cause gastrointestinal disorders including gases, diarrhea, bloating, abdominal discomfort, and vomiting. Many dogs are intolerant to lactose, which means they have difficulties digesting milk and other dairy products.
Obesity
Even if sugar, artificial flavors, or sweeteners in ice cream are not toxic, they can contribute to obesity and can be a problem for dogs with diabetes. Keep an eye on “sugar-free” ice cream because it also contains sweeteners.
Food allergies
Dogs can experience a variety of food allergies, including allergic reactions to milk and dairy products such as ice cream. These allergies are a reaction to the proteins found in dairy products. The symptoms of such allergies go from vomiting and diarrhea and/or lead to a red rash accompanied by itching.
Will my vanilla bean ice-cream will hurt my dog?
Although you can occasionally give a small amount of vanilla bean ice cream to your dog, it is NOT recommended. Despite the fact that it is the safest dog ice cream flavor, several ingredients make it unsuitable for dogs. The list of harmful constituents includes milk, fats, sugar, and artificial sweeteners.
What happens if a dog eats vanilla bean ice cream?
Since one of the biggest ingredients is milk, allowing the dog to eat vanilla ice cream could lead to gases, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, or vomiting. Some dogs simply do not have the stomach to handle dairy products.
Another option is to offer your dog an alternative to ice cream. You can try frozen yogurt, if your dog does not have an intolerance to dairy products or dairy allergy, or vegan ice cream, without artificial sweeteners. They have a smaller quantity of sugar and dairy, although there are some which do not contain dairy.
Can ice cream cause pancreatitis in dogs?
Although some dogs can tolerate the cool creamy treat, their digestive systems are not designed to digest cow’s milk. Ice cream can cause vomiting and diarrhea or even worse, pancreatitis – a condition in which the pancreas inflames and causes abundant vomiting and diarrhea together
Is vanilla toxic to dogs?
Vanilla extract and flavorings are toxic to dogs due to their high alcohol content. The consumption of one bottle could pose a serious health risk, especially for smaller dogs, but the flavor of a vanilla bean ice cream is not life-threatening.
Can vanilla bean ice cream be fatal to a dog?
On a hot day, it may be tempting to share your ice cream with your dog. Instead, give them some cold water. Milk and milk-based products can cause diarrhea and other digestive problems in puppies. They can also trigger food allergies that can cause them itches.
Vanilla bean ice cream is safe for dogs, in the sense that there is nothing toxic in it that can be fatal to your dog if it just tastes it. Unless your dog is intolerant to lactose, a little vanilla ice cream will probably not hurt them, but it should be an exception.
Indeed, there are quite many treats you can offer your dog, especially when temperatures rise. These include a lot of lactose-free snacks, in the form of lollipops, which can have sweet and salty flavors. You can think a tuna snack is less delicious, but the dog can think it was sent directly from heaven.
You can also make ice treats for your dog at home. In fact, you could find this a little advantageous, because you will have complete control over the type of nutrient that comes into the patched delicacies. And don’t worry if the delicacies contain ice – the myth about dogs and ice cubes has been completely busted.

Is Acetaminophen Safe for Dogs?
Acetaminophen, or Tylenol, is a common over-the-counter medication used by humans to relieve pain and fever. You may be tempted to give your dog acetaminophen for pain since it's available over-the-counter. However, this drug can be toxic to dogs if used improperly. You should never give your dog acetaminophen unless your vet specifically recommends it. How safe is acetaminophen for dogs?
What Does Acetaminophen Do?
Acetaminophen is a nonprescription medication that relieves mild to moderate pain and reduces fever. The exact mechanism of action is not known, but the drug has been a popular, effective pain reliever and fever reducer for human use since the 1950s.
Acetaminophen is not available in veterinary preparations and is not a preferred form of pain relief in dogs.
Can Dogs Have Acetaminophen?
Acetaminophen can be highly toxic to dogs if they ingest too much. Even at safe doses, it does not offer as much pain relief as safer alternatives.
There may be cases where your veterinarian recommends giving acetaminophen to your dog. If so, it's important that you follow your vet's recommendation for dosage and administration. If acetaminophen is recommended, it may be used in formulations with codeine.
In general, the safest and most effective dose range for dogs is 10-15mg per kilogram (about 4-6mg per pound of body weight) given by mouth every 12 hours. For example, a ten-pound dog would only get about 50mg of acetaminophen and a 50-pound dog would get 200mg of acetaminophen.
Note that these doses are significantly lower than the humane dosage, so it's important to pay close attention to the strength of the medication. Use caution when giving dogs children's acetaminophen; liquid, chewable, and powder formulas may contain dangerous artificial sweeteners like xylitol.
If your dog is in mild to moderate pain, your vet will likely prescribe a more effective, safer drug than acetaminophen. If you need to find an over-the-counter medication, your vet may recommend a specific dose of baby aspirin instead of acetaminophen. Never give ibuprofen (Advil) or naproxen (Aleve) to dogs. Always consult with your vet before giving your dog any medication, supplement, or herbal remedy. Note: acetaminophen is never safe for cats.
Side Effects of Acetaminophen Use in Dogs
Dogs receiving safe doses of acetaminophen may still experience some adverse effects, such as gastrointestinal upset, liver and/or kidney issues, and blood-related problems. There is little information about the side effects of therapeutic acetaminophen use in dogs since it is not a preferred form of pain management.
Acetaminophen Toxicity in Dogs
Acetaminophen is generally considered toxic to dogs at doses of around 100-150mg per kilogram (45-68mg per pound). However, some dogs are more sensitive and will experience toxic effects at lower doses. In addition, frequent ingestion of acetaminophen may make dogs more susceptible to toxicity.
Acetaminophen toxicity causes damage to the liver. It may damage the kidneys as well. This damage creates many serious complications in the body and may lead to death.
Signs of acetaminophen toxicity typically appear around one to four hours after ingestion and tend to get gradually worse if untreated.
Lethargy
Depression
Loss of appetite
Nausea
Excessive salivation
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Brownish colored mucous membranes
Blue-gray colored mucous membranes (cyanosis)
Rapid or labored breathing
Dark-colored urine (may appear brown or reddish-brown)
Swelling of the face and/or extremities
Tremors
Collapse
Sudden death
What to Do If Your Dog Gets Too Much Acetaminophen
If you know that your dog ingested a toxic amount of acetaminophen, then you should contact your veterinarian immediately. Your vet may recommend that you induce vomiting at home or bringing your dog in for them to induce vomiting under veterinary supervision. Don't try to induce vomiting at home unless your veterinarian recommends it and provides instructions.
If it's been 30 minutes or more since your dog ate acetaminophen, then vomiting is unlikely to be enough. Your dog will need veterinary treatment for acetaminophen toxicity. The vet may need to give your dog activated charcoal to absorb toxins in the GI tract. A drug called N-acetylcysteine is considered a type of antidote and may be given if available. Intravenous fluids and various medications may be necessary for supportive care. In serious cases, your vet may recommend a referral to a veterinary specialist in internal medicine.
The prognosis of acetaminophen toxicity in dogs varies from care to case. As is the case with most toxins, the sooner the dog is treated, the better the chance of recovery.
