The SB Fanweek will be back this year! Aiming to keep the hype up now that the anime continuation and the book series ending have both been announced!

To give ample time for everyone to get ready, here are the daily prompts for this year's fanweek!

Some explanations below:

What's the difference between the "Movies AU" and "Behind the Scene" prompts? Movies AU: You can put the characters in any movie setting that you want! Go play Kurokawa for a while Behind the Scenes: What if SB's world is a movie itself, played by actors? How are these actors when the cameras are not rolling??

Gender Bend: for lack of a better term, just play with the characters' genders in any way it makes your heart happy ♥

Gods AU: they can be fictional or mythological settings, just be respectful if you're portraying elements from cultures that aren't your own!

Just remember to adhere to the posting and tagging guidelines, which you can check out here!

FAQ + GUIDELINES

GENERAL

This event is free-for-all to participate in.

Final works don’t need to be polished, complex or even finished: sketches, drabbles and WIPs are ok.

There’s no minimum or maximum of works to participate with: feel free to participate in as few or as many days you want, with as many works per day you want.

Each day will be assigned 2 prompts + a quote or song lyric. You can pick the one you like the most or you can also combine them.

We ask to stick to each day’s themes for your creations:there will be one Free Theme day dedicated to create something with any theme you want.

Late submissions are allowed so don’t worry if you missed a day, or you need more time to complete your pieces!

CONTENT

Alternative Universes, Canon Divergence, canon and non-canon shipping are all allowed.

Creations can’t include anyone else’s art or property, just your own. This of course includes the use of generative AI (both for pictures and writing), which is completely prohibited.

RATING

All ratings are allowed, since the Sabikui lore doesn’t shy away from violence, gore and sexual innuendos.

There will be an alternative NSFW themed prompt list

HOWEVER, we ask for works that are heavily NSFW to be posted under content warnings (the thing on Twitter that blurs pictures), under “read more” (on Tumblr) or behind third party sites like Privatter or Poipiku which help controlling the audience that access those works.

For NSFW posts we also ask to PLEASE do not use official tags (like #/錆喰いビスコ) as it’s considered bad fandom etiquette

Even if the event is NSFW friendly, no one is obliged at all to make or see that kind of content, that's why we'll be very insistent on proper tagging and uploading! Please mute anything necessary for this to be a pleasant experience for everyone involved!

ABOUT CANON AND SPOILERS

We encourage to tag any content based on book 2 onwards with #sabikuibiscospoilers out of respect to the people who have only watched the anime so far.

For content based on books 8 & 9 (the only ones not published in english by the time of this event), using the tag is mandatory.

AU works featuring book-only characters do not need to be tagged as spoilers, unless the work itself hints heavily to the canon content.

TAGGING

Out of respect for the creators, please DO NOT tag or mention any of the official accounts in your fanweek posts (includes: the author, the translator, all of the artists, all of the anime staff, the official SB anime account, the jp publisher, the eng publisher, etc)

I’ll mention once again to please DO NOT use the official tag in NSFW works.
