By Money Metals Exchange
In a recent Money Metals podcast episode, host Mike Maharrey sat down with renowned precious metals analyst David Morgan, the author of The Silver Manifesto and publisher of The Morgan Report. Their discussion touched on critical global financial issues, including the BRICS Summit, precious metals markets, and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).
youtube
BRICS Summit: Hype vs. Reality
Morgan began by sharing his skepticism about the recent BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russia. He echoed Maharrey’s impression that, despite significant attention, the event yielded more rhetoric than actionable progress. Russian President Vladimir Putin’s display of a mock currency, Morgan humorously compared to the promotional currency he distributed at investment conferences, underscored the lack of substance behind some BRICS initiatives.
Morgan highlighted two major hurdles for BRICS countries: the dominance of global debt denominated in U.S. dollars and the lack of a unified, widely accepted alternative currency. He mentioned that real progress would require greater currency diversification among participating nations. Nonetheless, he acknowledged the potential impact of a BRICS-backed precious metals exchange modeled after the Shanghai Gold Exchange, emphasizing that this could disrupt traditional price discovery dominated by institutions like the LBMA and COMEX.

Juanita Reconstruction Illustrates Importance of Bioarcheology
Tumblr media
A November 2023 CNN article said scientists have reconstructed a teenage Incan girl who lived 500 years ago. Discovered in 1995 in ice, the girl had been sacrificed and buried near the dormant volcano at the Ampato summit in Peru. This discovery illustrates the wonder of bioarchaeology, which contributed to bringing the century-old story to life.
Bioarchaeology is a branch of archaeology that studies bones and biological materials found around human remains. Scientists can use the bones to gather information about how people lived.
Bioarchaeology has played a critical role in reconstructing histories, including that of the Incas, who lived in Peru and Chile for more than 300 years. Their known history began in around 1,200 and ended in 1533, but historians cite the defeat of the Chanca in 1438 as the onset of the rise of the Incan Empire. The Incas went on to organize institutions and build an extensive network of roads connecting towns and villages.
The Incan culture included sacrificial ceremonies to appease the gods and protect the community from natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. The Incas sacrificed young women and children because of their purity and beauty.
Researchers believe that Juanita died as a sacrifice because of her ceremonial clothing. The teen's burial site also contained ceramic objects, gold and silver female figures, woven bags, pottery, and llama bones. The ceramic objects featured geometric shapes, which researchers believe may have been a part of the Incan communication system.
In 2018, 23 years after the discovery of Juanitain the Peruvian mountains, Dr. Dagmara Socha, a bioarcheologist at the Center for Andean Studies at the University of Warsaw in Cusco, Peru, began investigating Juanita and other remains and objects found at the Ampato, Pichu Pichu, and Misti volcanoes. They discovered that children and women chewed coca leaves and drank ayahuasca during the weeks leading up to their sacrifice. This finding suggests that the hallucinogenic and psychotropic drugs lessened their anxiety before the sacrifice, a fact consistent with Juanita’s ingestion of alcohol and coca before her sacrifice.
Further, after analyzing Juanita’s hair samples, researchers learned that she may have come from an elite family since her diet included meat. Juanita was between 13 and 15 when she died after being struck on the head, according to CT scans.
In March 2022, Swedish artist Oscar Nilsson used CT scans of Juanita to build a 3D model of her skull, which guided in reconstructing her face and body. The artist drew his reconstruction from tomography scans and information on her age and complexion. He relied on tissue depth markers based on skull measurements to understand her facial proportions. The reconstruction of Juanita took 400 hours, and her face alone took six months. Nilsson was methodical in his reconstruction, relying on forensic techniques to make the teen appear realistic. This reconstruction puts a face to the history of the teen and her people, which may not have been possible without bioarchaeology. Researchers and scientists have given Juanita the nicknames "Ice Maiden," since she was discovered in ice, and “the Lady of Ampato.”

I.C.U. Beds Near Capacity Across U.S. (NYT) In El Paso, hospitals reported that just 13 of 400 intensive care beds were not occupied last week. In Fargo, N.D., there were just three. In Albuquerque, there were zero. More than a third of Americans live in areas where hospitals are running critically short of intensive care beds, federal data show, revealing a newly detailed picture of the nation’s hospital crisis during the deadliest week of the Covid-19 epidemic. One in 10 Americansacross a large swath of the Midwest, South and Southwest—lives in an area where intensive care beds are either completely full, or fewer than 5 percent of beds are available. At these levels, experts say maintaining existing standards of care for the sickest patients may be difficult or impossible.
Poll: Only half in US want shots as vaccine nears (AP) As states frantically prepare to begin months of vaccinations that could end the pandemic, a new poll finds only about half of Americans are ready to roll up their sleeves when their turn comes. The survey from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows about a quarter of U.S. adults aren’t sure if they want to get vaccinated against the coronavirus. Roughly another quarter say they won’t. Many on the fence have safety concerns and want to watch how the initial rollout fares—skepticism that could hinder the campaign against the scourge that has killed nearly 290,000 Americans. Experts estimate at least 70% of the U.S. population needs to be vaccinated to achieve herd immunity, or the point at which enough people are protected that the virus can be held in check.
U.S. and States Say Facebook Illegally Crushed Competition (NYT) The Federal Trade Commission and more than 40 states accused Facebook on Wednesday of buying up its rivals to illegally squash competition, and they called for the deals to be unwound, escalating regulators’ battle against the biggest tech companies in a way that could remake the social media industry. Federal and state regulators of both parties, who have investigated the company for over 18 months, said in separate lawsuits that Facebook’s purchases, especially Instagram for $1 billion in 2012 and WhatsApp for $19 billion two years later, eliminated competition that could have one day challenged the company’s dominance. The applications have helped catapult Facebook from a company started in a college dorm room 16 years ago to an internet powerhouse valued at more than $800 billion.
‘Welcome to Texas!’ (NYT) Long before Elon Musk, the Tesla magnate and billionaire Californian, announced that he was moving to Texas, Marie Bailey, a California transplant now living north of Dallas, fastened a customized license plate onto her very own Tesla, with a message that has become her ethos. “Move2TX,” it reads in block letters, underneath an emblem of the one-starred Texas flag. The news by Mr. Musk, who announced his move on Tuesday, in a snub to California and its strong regulatory environment, added fuel to the longstanding rivalry between the nation’s two most populous states. California, with its steep housing costs, raging wildfires and strict business regulations, has been losing residents to other states, with Texas as the most popular exodus destination. Of more than 653,000 people who left California last year, about 82,000 went to Texas, more than any other state, according to census figures. Or, as The Stanford Review wrote in a nod to the native Texan George Strait, “All of California’s Exes Are Moving to Texas.”
SpaceX launches Starship on highest test flight, crash-lands (AP) SpaceX launched its shiny, bullet-shaped, straight-out-of-science fiction Starship several miles into the air from a remote corner of Texas on Wednesday, but the 6 1/2-minute test flight ended in an explosive fireball at touchdown. It was the highest and most elaborate flight yet for the rocketship that Elon Musk says could carry people to Mars in as little as six years. Despite the catastrophic finale, he was thrilled. “Mars, here we come!!” he tweeted. This latest prototype—the first one equipped with a nose cone, body flaps and three engines—was shooting for an altitude of up to eight miles (12.5 kilometers). That’s almost 100 times higher than previous hops and skimming the stratosphere. The full-scale, stainless steel model—160 feet (50 meters) tall and 30 feet (9 meters) in diameter—soared out over the Gulf of Mexico. After about five minutes, it flipped sideways as planned and descended in a free-fall back to the southeastern tip of Texas near the Mexican border. The Raptor engines reignited for braking and the rocket tilted back upright. When it touched down, however, the rocketship became engulfed in flames and ruptured, parts scattering.
In Cuba, Internet Fuels Rare Protests (NYT) In another era, the detention of a young Cuban dissident may have gone completely unnoticed. But when the rapper Denis Solís was arrested by the police, he did something that has only recently become possible on the island: He filmed the encounter on his cellphone and streamed it live on Facebook. The stream last month prompted his friends in an artist collective to go on a hunger strike, which the police broke up after a week, arresting members of the group. But their detentions were also caught on cellphone videos and shared widely over social media, leading hundreds of artists and intellectuals to stage a demonstration outside the Culture Ministry the next day. This swift mobilization of protesters was a rare instance of Cubans openly confronting their government—and a stark example of how having widespread access to the internet through cellphones is testing the power balance between the communist regime and its citizens. The fact that such a large protest happened at all—and led to the creation of a formal movement with a name and a Facebook page—is in itself extraordinary in a country where the opposition is barely existent.
Lockdown Gardening in Britain Leads to Archaeological Discoveries (NYT) Gardeners in Hampshire, a county in southeast England, were weeding their yard in April when they found 63 gold coins and one silver coin from King Henry VIII’s reign in the 16th century, with four of the coins inscribed with the initials of the king’s wives Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn and Jane Seymour. The archaeological find was one of more than 47,000 in England and Wales that were reported this year, amid an increase in backyard gardening during coronavirus lockdowns, the British Museum said on Wednesday. In another discovery, in Milton Keynes, a town northwest of London, gardeners found 50 solid gold South African Krugerrand coins that were minted in the 1970s during apartheid.
As Brexit cliff edge looms, miles of trucks stack up near southern English port (Reuters) Trucks heading towards the English port of Dover were stacked up for miles on Thursday, just three weeks before Britain exits the European Union’s orbit in a potentially tumultuous finale to the five-year divorce, a Reuters photographer said. Logistics groups have reported surging demand from companies trying to bring parts, goods and food into the country before Britain leaves the EU’s single market and customs union, a move that is expected to cause even more disruption in January. The British government has warned that even with a trade deal, 7,000 trucks heading for the Channel ports in south-east England could be held in 100-km (62-mile) queues if companies do not prepare the extra paperwork required.
Eyes on a reset (Washington Post) European leaders plan to use a summit that starts Thursday to agree on a sweeping new strategy to rebuild strained relations with the United States, after four years of a divide-and-conquer approach from President Trump. From rebuilding the Iran nuclear deal to fighting the pandemic to addressing climate change, Europeans are scrambling to seize the moment with the incoming U.S. leader. Because of Joe Biden’s age and history, many here believe he will be more interested in cooperation with Europe than any U.S. president for the foreseeable future, Democrat or Republican. But leaders on both sides of the Atlantic warn that some of the irritants of the Trump years will remain, and other divides could still open—especially on what may be the greatest foreign policy challenge of Biden’s presidency, an increasingly aggressive and expansionist Beijing. European countries vary sharply on how they think they should manage relations with China, and the biggest and most powerful country in Europe, Germany, also has the closest trading relationship with Beijing. European leaders also have become embroiled in an intramural debate about the extent to which they should seek independence from the United States, a goal increasingly pushed by French President Emmanuel Macron and opposed by Germany and others.
Poles voice fears of ‘Polexit’ as govt defies EU over budget (AP) As the Polish government plays a game of chicken with the European Union over its next long-term budget, some Poles are voicing fears that a drawn-out conflict could put their country on a path toward an eventual departure from the bloc, or “Polexit.” Poland’s conservative government, led by Jaroslaw Kaczynski’s Law and Justice party, denies that it has ever wanted to leave the 27-member bloc, and popular support for EU membership runs extremely high. But critics fear the combative tone of Polish leaders—who have recently compared the EU to the Soviet Union and used terms like “political enslavement” to describe Poland’s predicament in the standoff—could create momentum, which if unstopped, could accidently bring the nation to the exit door. The fears are rooted in a threat by the Polish and Hungarian governments to block the EU’s 1.82 trillion-euro ($2.21 trillion) budget for the next seven years, including a coronavirus recovery package. The veto threat comes after other EU members voted to introduce a new rule that would allow the bloc to cut funding to EU nations that violate the rule of law.
World’s pharmacy gears up for vaccine race (Reuters) India, the world’s biggest vaccine maker, is getting set for the massive global blitz to contain the coronavirus pandemic with its pharmaceutical industry and partners freeing up capacity and accelerating investments even without firm purchase orders. India manufactures more than 60% of all vaccines sold across the globe, and while its $40 billion pharmaceutical sector is not yet involved in the production of the expensive Pfizer Inc and Moderna shots, the nation will play a pivotal role in immunizing much of the world. Indian companies are set to produce eight, more affordable vaccines designed to fight COVID-19. But much of India’s vaccine production could be, at least initially, for domestic use. With nearly 10 million infections, the world’s second-highest after the United States, India’s government is likely to order a huge chunk of the vaccines for its 1.3 billion people.
South Korea to criminalize sending leaflets into North Korea, bowing to regime (Washington Post) South Korea’s ruling party is pushing a law through parliament that would criminalize sending leaflets, flash drives and money to North Korea, in what the opposition calls a “disgraceful submission” to Pyongyang and human rights groups say will stifle freedom of expression and humanitarian work. The move follows pressure from Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, who in June labeled defectors based in South Korea “human scum” and “mongrel dogs” for sending items across the border designed to undermine the North Korean regime. She warned Seoul would face a “dear price” unless it prevented this “wicked and sordid act of hostility.” President Moon Jae-in’s government, which has made improving relations with North Korea a priority, immediately began cracking down on groups that dispatch such materials across the heavily guarded frontier. Lawmakers from the ruling Democratic Party then introduced a bill to make it a felony punishable by up to three years in prison to send promotional pamphlets and storage devices such as flash drives, money and other financial benefits to the North without the government’s permission.
China restricts US official travel to Hong Kong (AP) China is imposing restrictions on travel to Hong Kong by some U.S. officials and others in retaliation for similar measures imposed on Chinese individuals by Washington, the Foreign Ministry said Thursday. U.S. diplomatic passport holders visiting Hong Kong and nearby Macao will temporarily no longer receive visa-free entry privileges, spokesperson Hua Chunying said. U.S. administration officials, congressional staffers, employees of non-governmental organizations and their immediate family members will face “reciprocal sanctions,” Hua said. Hua said the move was taken “given that the U.S. side is using the Hong Kong issue to seriously interfere in China’s internal affairs and undermine China’s core interests.”
Australia largely beat the virus. But it left thousands of residents stranded abroad. (Washington Post) Australian entry restrictions have stranded tens of thousands of Australian citizens and residents overseas. As a group, they form part of an unexpected phenomenon of the pandemic: displaced people of the developed world. And for Australians overseas or with loved ones abroad, the tyranny of distance—a largely bygone concern conquered by jet travel—is once again very real. There is no authoritative figure on how many people have been stranded as a result of restrictions that countries have imposed during the pandemic. In late March, more than 50,000 Americans were stuck overseas when cross-border travel almost ceased, U.S. officials said at the time. Australia’s situation is extreme, though. The island continent has one of the strictest border closures—residents need special permission to leave, and only citizens, residents and a few other select groups have been allowed in since March 20. Arrivals are limited to about 8,000 a week and they must isolate in a hotel for 14 days at their own expense. Besides allowing entry to travelers from New Zealand, the country has largely sealed itself off. In January, about 2.3 million people came to Australia. By September, the figure was 16,720.
Morocco joins other Arab nations agreeing to normalize Israel ties (Reuters) Israel and Morocco agreed on Thursday to normalize relations in a deal brokered with U.S. help, making Morocco the fourth Arab country to set aside hostilities with Israel in the past four months. It joins the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Sudan in beginning to forge deals with Israel, driven in part by U.S.-led efforts to present a united front against Iran and roll back Tehran’s regional influence. In a departure from longstanding U.S. policy, President Donald Trump agreed as part of the deal to recognize Morocco’s sovereignty over the Western Sahara, a desert region where a decades-old territorial dispute has pitted Morocco against the Algeria-backed Polisario Front, a breakaway movement that seeks to establish an independent state in the territory. President-elect Joe Biden, due to succeed Trump on Jan. 20, will face a decision whether to accept the U.S. deal on the Western Sahara, which no other Western nation has done.

We are available at all times of the day if you have any questions or require any additional services.
SERVICE LEVELS
Snow Plowing / Shoveling Service Levels:
GOLD: As soon as the snow begins to fall, we will continuously plow/shovel your location during snowfall events.
SILVER: As soon as 1 of snow accumulates at your property, personnel will be dispatched to begin snow plowing/shoveling services. Your property will receive a plow/shovel every four hours during snowfall events.
BRONZE: We will plow/shovel your property prior to the start of your business day. If four or more inches of new snow fall, we will automatically return to plow with the storm. For less than four inches, you will need to call for repeat service.
 De-icing Service Levels
Industrial Lot Snow Removal snow removal services near Omaha NE:  ZERO TOLERANCE: During open hours, we will apply de-icing material as needed to keep your paved surfaces bare and wet except during heavy snow falls.  De-icing services will resume once the heavy snowfall has been cleared and it is reasonable to expect that the salt will create a bare and wet condition that will last over two hours.
STRATEGIC: During open hours, we will apply de-icing material during key time periods defined by the client (example: first thing in the morning, before the lunch hour, and/or before the evening rush hour).
PER VISIT: During open hours, we will apply an application of de-icing material after every plow/shoveling.
NECESSARY: After a snow event ends and snow has been cleared, we will apply one application of de-icing material.
We use a high performance de-icing product that contains a blend of natural rock salt, magnesium chloride and an agricultural by-product.
Features & Benefits
●       Performs quickly, efficiently and is extremely effective in low temperatures melting to-20° F
●       Signature blue color makes it visible so less material and fewer applications are needed a 30-50% material reduction over rock salt alone
●       Environmentally friendly, it is less corrosive than rock salt and calcium chloride blends, and releases less chloride into the environment
●       Maintains a melting effect after the initial application or storm event
●       Prevents snow and ice from bonding to the pavement when applied correctly before a storm event.

 Snow Removal Prices
Industrial Lot Snow Removal snow removal services near Omaha NE: Removing snow from your home costs an average of $110 with a typical range of $48 and $173. Larger properties with longer drives, more sidewalks or requiring roof clearing can run upwards of $400 or more. Hiring someone to plow costs $30 to $50 per visit while sidewalk shoveling or snow blowing runs $25 to $75 per hour. Most companies also clear roofs for an additional $250 to $500.
Living in a colder climate inevitably means dealing with the snow. While it may look pretty and can be fun for kids to play in, it can be a headache - or backache - to deal with when it comes to your driveway or sidewalks. On average, 11,500 people go to the emergency room each year in the US with shoveling-related injuries - from strains to heart attacks. Hiring a plowing professional to take care of it can save a lot of time, hassle and pain.
 Snow Removal Service Costs
Though most professionals charge seasonal or event prices from $50 to $450 or more, they almost always figure costs based on hourly rates. Pricing is figured by how long it will take one person to move a certain amount of snow in an hour plus equipment and overhead.
 Snow Removal Pricing Calculator
Industrial Lot Snow Removal snow removal services near Omaha NE:  Professionals charge using multiple cost models. They don't charge per square foot but do almost all their pricing by figuring the amount one person can move in one hour plus overhead and equipment costs.
Pricing is done one of the following ways:
Per hour - $25 to $75. Usually used for manual removal with shovels or blowers/throwers.
Per season - $350 to $450. Typically has an upward limit of visits/clearings.
Per event - $30 to $75. A snowstorm is an event. This pricing method is typical in areas with either short periods or not much total annual accumulation.
Per push/visit - $30 - $50. Each time the area is cleared, even if it's multiple times per storm.
Per inch - $60 to $95. This is typical for up to 6 inches of snow. Add $30 for each additional 6 inches.
 Snow Plow Rates
Plowing runs $30 to $95 per visit. You can also hire them on a seasonal basis for $350 to $450 with a maximum limit of visits per season.
 Snow Shoveling Prices
The average homeowner can expect to pay $25 to $75 per hour for shoveling services per crew member.
This is one area that homeowners can consider hiring less-experienced local providers. Though you may be tempted to hire the neighbor's kid, consider who ends up paying for the scratched car or torn lawn if something goes wrong. Always hire a service that provides guarantees and insured work.
 Snow Blowing Estimates
Snow blowing services tend to run about the same as shoveling services or $25 to $75 per hour. In some cases, the two are synonymous. The service has slightly more overhead with gas and equipment costs, but they make up for this with the volume of work they can accomplish.
 Salt Application Rates
Expect to pay $20 to $40 per application. Some areas require that sidewalks remain clear and free of ice for public use, especially if you're near public spaces like schools and parks. HOA's typically cover some or all the plowing as part of the HOA fees. Check with you homeowner's association and city government for what is and is not your responsibility.
 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How to Find a Good Commercial Snow Plowing Company?
Are you a business looking for a qualified snow plowing company? This page is designed to give you the information to make an educated choice. Below is a compilation of the top snow and ice management industry practices and a list of questions you should be asking your current/ potential provider.
Does the company have commercial liability insurance?
Snow Plowing companies should carry at least 1 million dollar commercial liability insurance. In addition, an umbrella policy can cover any additional expenses incurred from accidental damage.
What backup equipment is included in the fleet?
The constant barrage of snowfall can take a toll on any vehicle. Be sure that the company you choose has plenty of equipment available to handle the job.
Is the equipment used adequate for your location?
Snow plowing a small parking lot can be done with a standard truck. However, larger lots may require an additional truck or even a loader to clear snow in an appropriate time frame. In addition spreading salt with a small tailgate spreader may work for some locations but others require a large dump truck to perform this task.
Can referrals for the company be provided to ensure credibility?
Snow Plowing is a service based industry right? Providing referral contact names, email addresses and phone numbers should be a must. Use this information to inquire how the company has handled service and resolved any concerns in the past.
Does your estimate include the entire parking lot or loading docks?
Be sure to clarify what areas of the lot are to be plowed and where snow will be stacked. If you have areas of concern such as loading docks inform the company upon initial contact. If you do not require the entire lot cleared this will allow for a saving in the cost of your contract.
Do you require sidewalk service including shoveling and salting?
Including sidewalk clearing and/or salting will increase the cost of your contract. However, paying for this service to be performed may save you in the long run. Paying employees to do such work takes away from their regular duties. Be sure to notify your potential snow plow contractor of such service needs.
Is salting/sanding included in your quote?
Salting adds an additional level of service to your agreement with a snow plowing company. If you have a high amount of elderly, children, trucks, or tow motors at your facility then salting should be a consideration. Avoiding potential safety concerns lowers liability and allows for your business to run smoothly and maximizes your concentration on what matters most.
What are your business location hours/shifts?
An office building that is only open from 9-5 requires less effort than a 24-7 manufacturing location. Be sure to clarify your business’s snow and ice management hours to eliminate any additional cost that may have been added or subtracted from your pricing.

Scottie Resources, a Golden Triangle Gold Junior, Reports Blockbuster Drill Results
Source: Peter Epstein for Streetwise Reports   01/07/2020
Peter Epstein of Epstein Research profiles this explorer and explains why he believes it could be a take-out target.
Strong drill results have confirmed and expanded the Bend Vein target on Scottie Resources Corp.’s (SCOT:TSX.V) 100%-controlled Bow property. During September, the company completed 878 meters of diamond drilling, 2 km NE of the 100%-owned past-producing Scottie Gold Mine located in the Golden Triangle (GT) of northwest British Columbia, Canada.
Readers are reminded that Scottie Resources owns or controls 18,500 hectares, all in the GT, across seven properties, contained in two groups of contiguous parcels. Some properties border Ascot Resources (between Ascot’s Premier Mine and Red Mountain projects), others border Pretium Resources’ property south of the world-class, high-grade, operating Brucejack mine. Pretium’s enterprise value (EV) is $3.3 billion.
Very high-grade gold at Bow, Scottie Gold & Summit Lake properties
Drill hole SR19-11 hit an interval of 73.3 g/t gold (Au) and 71.0 g/t silver (Ag) (or 74+ g/t Au Eq) over 4.3 m, (true width 80%–90%). That blockbuster interval included 1.9 m of 152.5 g/t Au plus 143.6 g/t Ag, equal to 154+ g/t Au Eq. Additional drill results are expected as soon as this week. Importantly, all of the reported intervals to date are near-surface, between 25 and 85 meters in depth. The best intercept in this latest batch is between 25.5 and 30 meters.
According to Scottie’s CEO & president Bradley Rourke,
“These new assays confirm the superb results of previous studies and demonstrate a truly under-explored high-grade gold and silver target. Past drilling on the Bend Vein only probed to a vertical depth of ~55 m. Our drilling this season proves that the mineralized structure extends deeper. We substantially increased the strike length of known mineralization. Drilling in the 2020 season will allow us to further prove the scale of this structurally-controlled, high-grade vein deposit.”
Scottie’s technical team integrated historical and recent (2018–2019) exploration work into new structural models to better understand the geometry of mineralization. Prior to the company’s 2019 drill program, Bow’s Bend Vein had only 1,525 meters of drilling on it. No exploration-style drilling had been done to test along the Bend fault structure to assess the potential of a bigger system.
Management is thrilled that drilling in 2019 substantiated the very high grades contained in the historically known ore block, and extended the structure both at depth and along strike. The drill campaign (so far) has already shown gold mineralization expanding east an additional 375 meters. 2020 is off to a great start! Over the past year, management has achieved excellent bang for their exploration buck, with more results any day now.
Previous drilling on the Bend Vein returned the following select high-grade assays:
Notice that drill hole SR19-11, mentioned above, had a [grade x thickness] of 318. Compare that to these other [high-grade] intervals in the GT in 2019. Also, the midpoint of each interval’s depth is provided. Scottie’s blockbuster interval was found at 28 meters. The average depth of peer intervals is 115 meters.
Surface grab samples at Summit Lake look very promising….
CEO Rourke and VP exploration Thomas Mumford, PhD, are ecstatic over the latest drill results, and also recent surface samples from the much larger Summit Lake property.
The above surface (grab) samples were reported three weeks ago. The best eight (in green) range from 11.0 to 62.8 g/t Au Eq, and average 22.2 g/t Au Eq. There are high-grade showings of copper, lead, zinc and silver, (884 g/t = 28.4 troy oz./t Ag). Summit Lake, Bow and the past-producing Scottie Gold mine total 5,672 hectares. As can be seen in the map above, the top half of this three-property contiguous block borders Pretium.
These impressive Summit Lake samples were reported about a month after even more exciting samples were announced on November 14th. The best four samples are listed below. They come from the newly discovered Domino zone on the 100%-owned Scottie Gold mine property.
Referring to the Domino zone, VP of Exploration Dr. Thomas Mumford commented,
“These initial sample results are exciting, their distribution and high-grade nature fit spectacularly well with our working geological model. This mineralized structure will be a high-priority drill target for the 2020 field season. The potential that it may connect to the Scottie Gold Mine mineralizing system make this an exceptional discovery. Sampling of many of these sites was only possible due to significant glacial retreat in recent years. We are eager to get back on the ground to find and delineate additional drill targets.”
Scottie Gold mine property hosts past-producing mine
We already know for certain that the Scottie Gold mine property hosts high-grade mineralization, from 1981-1985 it produced over 95,000 ounces of gold at a tremendous average grade of 16.2 g/t. That’s a much higher grade than Pretium’s world famous Brucejack mine is currently producing at ~9 g/t.
In addition to high-grade production records, there are some outstanding historical drill results at the Scottie Gold mine project as well. How about 108.3 g/t Au over 3.4 meters, or 107.7 g/t Au over 4.2 meters? Not bad at all! All known mineralization on Bow and Scottie Gold, from a total of 525 drill holes, is found at shallow depths. I find it encouraging that these blockbuster grades were found across 3.4 and 4.2 meters, not merely half-meter, one-hit wonders.
Mining M&A in N. America & the gold price making big moves!
Three big gold deals were announced in 4Q 2019 alone, including Kirkland Lake’s plans to acquire Detour Gold. If Detour is taken out, Pretium would be one of the last single-asset gold companies in Canada. Brucejack, situated less than 50 km from Scottie, is one of North America’s lowest-cost, highest-margin producers.
Pretium is 234x the size of Scottie Resources. If it’s not acquired, it might try to acquire one or more GT juniors like Ascot, GT Gold, Skeena Resources, Tudor Gold or Garibaldi Resources. As an aside, Seabridge Gold is also a potential acquirer. Those companies, with EVs ranging from $84 to $217 million, could in turn look to buy a company like Scottie Resources, with an EV of $14 million.
I don’t mean to overplay a takeout thesis, but, the gold price is now at US$ 1,576/oz, up ~US$ 112/oz since U.S. impeachment proceedings and Iran / North Korea troubles commenced, and up ~US$ 300/oz from the low of 2019. Gold in $USD is the highest it’s been in 80 months. Furthermore, 2019 was reportedly the biggest year for gold mining M&A in North America since 2010.
Neighboring Pretium and Ascot valuations bullish for Scottie
Looking at the map, it’s clear why Pretium might want to acquire Scottie Resources. Or, at least move to control the three properties where Pretium and Scottie share a border. Scottie’s valuation is so low relative to Pretium’s that it might be cheaper to pursue Scottie’s properties than to drill virgin areas on Pretium’s existing footprint.
Perhaps more likely—look at the map again—Ascot certainly has a compelling reason to care about Scottie, and the company’s digestible EV of $14 million is right in Ascot’s sweet spot. Ascot has multiple projects and properties, but only one with evidence of very high-grade mineralization like that of Scottie’s Bow (new drill results), Scottie Gold mine (past production + historical drill results + new surface samples) and Summit Lake (new grab samples).
Ascot’s EV of $210 million is 15x that of Scottie, and its share price is up 85% in the past two months alone, resulting in Ascot trading at $8,631/ha vs. $766/ha for Scottie. While Ascot’s Red Mountain and Premier projects have substantially more drill holes on them, both have lower gold grades, and high-grade mineralization starting roughly 100 meters deeper than that of Scottie’s near-surface deposits.
Tudor & GT Gold have giant intercepts of sub 1.0 to 1.5 g/t Au Eq as thick as one kilometer or more. Grade x thickness readings for these assays are quite good, but drilling and mining through 1,000+ meters of rock can be costly and time consuming, especially if the projects are far from critical infrastructure.
Garibaldi’s assets in Canada are base metal (especially nickel + copper) heavy. Diversification into high-grade gold and silver could be an attractive option. With an EV of $96 million, it too could comfortably afford to make a run at Scottie. After 2020’s drill results (I believe Scottie is thinking about 5,000 meters of drilling, subject to adequate funding), the company will be well more advanced.
Soon after 2020 drill results, one or more resource estimates likely
Within 12–18 months, management should be able to deliver a robust NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate from one or both of the Scottie Gold and Bow properties. In 2H 2021, shareholders might receive a third-party Preliminary Economic Assessments (PEA). In my opinion, Scottie could secure a JV or farm-in partner as soon as next year, upon which time funding requirements would drop dramatically.
Located at the southern end of the GT, Scottie’s properties are an easy drive of about an hour, on paved roads, from Stewart, BC. For the most part, infrastructure in the southern portion of the GT is significantly better than the middle and northern regions.
Conclusion
With gold prices and M&A activity up substantially, all eyes are on the Golden Triangle. However, not all of the GT juniors have had recent drilling success. Not all are focused on shallow, high-to-ultra-high-grade gold deposits. Not all have good infrastructure. Not all own or control 100% of sizable land packages. Not all have enterprise values of $14 million or less.
Scottie Resources (TSX-V: SCOT) is blessed with many positive attributes and has successfully advanced its flagship properties very nicely in 2018–19 with limited capital expenditures. There have been three major initiatives over the past several months, and three fantastic outcomes.
1] great new drill results on January 3rd at Bow, 2] excellent surface samples on the Scottie Gold mine property and 3] great grab samples at Summit Lake. This is a company to watch closely in 2020. In fact, watch closely the rest of January, as further drill results are imminent.

"These initial sample results are exciting, their distribution and high-grade nature fit spectacularly well with our working geological model. This mineralized structure will be a high-priority drill target for the 2020 field season. The potential that it may connect to the Scottie Gold Mine mineralizing system make this an exceptional discovery. Sampling of many of these sites was only possible due to significant glacial retreat in recent years. We are eager to get back on the ground to find and delineate additional drill targets."
Scottie Gold mine property hosts past-producing mine
We already know for certain that the Scottie Gold mine property hosts high-grade mineralization, from 1981-1985 it produced over 95,000 ounces of gold at a tremendous average grade of 16.2 g/t. That's a much higher grade than Pretium's world famous Brucejack mine is currently producing at ~9 g/t.
Three big gold deals were announced in 4Q 2019 alone, including Kirkland Lake's plans to acquire Detour Gold. If Detour is taken out, Pretium would be one of the last single-asset gold companies in Canada. Brucejack, situated less than 50 km from Scottie, is one of North America's lowest-cost, highest-margin producers.
Pretium is 234x the size of Scottie Resources. If it's not acquired, it might try to acquire one or more GT juniors like Ascot, GT Gold, Skeena Resources, Tudor Gold or Garibaldi Resources. As an aside, Seabridge Gold is also a potential acquirer. Those companies, with EVs ranging from $84 to $217 million, could in turn look to buy a company like Scottie Resources, with an EV of $14 million.
I don't mean to overplay a takeout thesis, but, the gold price is now at US$ 1,576/oz, up ~US$ 112/oz since U.S. impeachment proceedings and Iran / North Korea troubles commenced, and up ~US$ 300/oz from the low of 2019. Gold in $USD is the highest it's been in 80 months. Furthermore, 2019 was reportedly the biggest year for gold mining M&A in North America since 2010.
Neighboring Pretium and Ascot valuations bullish for Scottie
Looking at the map, it's clear why Pretium might want to acquire Scottie Resources. Or, at least move to control the three properties where Pretium and Scottie share a border. Scottie's valuation is so low relative to Pretium's that it might be cheaper to pursue Scottie's properties than to drill virgin areas on Pretium's existing footprint.
Perhaps more likely—look at the map again—Ascot certainly has a compelling reason to care about Scottie, and the company's digestible EV of $14 million is right in Ascot's sweet spot. Ascot has multiple projects and properties, but only one with evidence of very high-grade mineralization like that of Scottie's Bow (new drill results), Scottie Gold mine (past production + historical drill results + new surface samples) and Summit Lake (new grab samples).
Ascot's EV of $210 million is 15x that of Scottie, and its share price is up 85% in the past two months alone, resulting in Ascot trading at $8,631/ha vs. $766/ha for Scottie. While Ascot's Red Mountain and Premier projects have substantially more drill holes on them, both have lower gold grades, and high-grade mineralization starting roughly 100 meters deeper than that of Scottie's near-surface deposits.
Garibaldi's assets in Canada are base metal (especially nickel + copper) heavy. Diversification into high-grade gold and silver could be an attractive option. With an EV of $96 million, it too could comfortably afford to make a run at Scottie. After 2020's drill results (I believe Scottie is thinking about 5,000 meters of drilling, subject to adequate funding), the company will be well more advanced.
Located at the southern end of the GT, Scottie's properties are an easy drive of about an hour, on paved roads, from Stewart, BC.

What Are The Most Popular Sports In The World
A evaluation of The Recent Lotus Elise Series 1 Sports Car, covering development, important features, and technical data of this the twenty ninth model in the Lotus range.
In this Article, I meet the expense of a nostalgic see at the Recent Lotus Elise Series 1, one of an elite charity of eternal cars, which was manufactured during the period 1996 to 2000.
James Paul Baratta
The Lotus Elise Series 1
Originally, in 1994, the Lotus Elise sports car was projected as a two seater, mid-engined, low production convertible.
It featured a fibreglass body upon a lightweight aluminium spaceframe chassis, together past a galvanised steel subframe which supported the engine.
It was powered by an all aluminium Rover K-Series, 1796 cc, 4-cylinder, 16 valve, double overhead cam engine.
Fitted in the manner of fuel injection, it developed 118 bhp at 5500 rpm, and 122 ft/lbs of torque at 3000 rpm.
With its high power-to-weight ratio, it produced a top eagerness of 126 mph, following a 0-60 mph time of 5.8 secs.
The Series 1 Elise was launched in 1996, and was designated the Type 111.
Elisa, the granddaughter of the chairman of Lotus and Bugatti, leant her name to the Elise.
Julian Thomson, head of design at Lotus, was instrumental in the car's styling.
It had independent interruption every round, a five speed gearbox, and disc brakes fitted upon every wheels.
With the passenger's chair fixed, the pliable driver's seat was positioned close the centre of the car, for that reason maximising peripheral vision.
The Lotus Elise GTI
Introduced in 1997, and designated the Type 115, the Lotus Elise GT1 sports racer was powered by a 3506 cc, twin turbo, V8 engine, developing 580 bhp at 7500 rpm, and 288 ft/lbs of torque at 6500 rpm.
With a body made from carbon fibre upon an Elise spaceframe chassis, and fitted subsequent to a Hewland six zeal gearbox, it had a top speed of 195 mph, subsequent to a 0-60 mph time of 3.8 secs.
It used vented disc brakes all round.
At least one GTI sports car was built in a street authenticated format.
The Lotus Elise Sport 135
The Lotus Elise Sport 135 sports car was introduced in November 1998 as a limited edition of 50 units, and its Rover K-Series engine was modified to produce 135 bhp.

ATV Accident Lawyer Salt Lake City Utah
In ancient times Utah was inhabited by various Native American groups. The ancient Pueblo People, also known as the Anasazi, built large communities in southern Utah from roughly the year 1 to 1300 AD. The Ute Tribe, from which the state takes its name and the Navajo Indians, arrived later in this region. Salt Lake City was founded on July 24, 1847, by a group of Mormon pioneers. (Mormons are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.) The pioneers, led by Brigham Young, were the first non-Indians to settle permanently in the Salt Lake Valley. The Mormons came to the valley in search of a region where they could practice their religion, free from hostile mobs and persecution. On the very day of arrival the pioneers began tilling the soil and planting crops. Within a few days plans were drawn for Great Salt Lake City, named after the salty inland lake which dominated the desert to the west. In 1848, more emigrants came to the valley. But a late frost, drought, and a plague of crickets nearly destroyed the harvest. Flocks of seagulls consumed the crickets and enough of the crop was saved to enable the settlers to survive the winter of 1848-49. During the decade that followed they brought their culture, languages, and skills to the valley, building Salt Lake City into a cosmopolitan center.
youtube
When the Mormons first arrived in the valley the region was part of Mexico. A treaty signed in 1848 ceded it to the United States, and in 1850, the “State of Deseret” became the Utah Territory. Deseret means honeybee, a symbol of industriousness. Utah’s state symbol is the beehive. Construction on the Mormon temple began in 1853, but the capstone of this magnificent structure was not put into place until 1892. The temple was built with granite blocks which, until a branch railroad line was run into Little Cottonwood Canyon, were individually hauled by ox and wagon from the canyon to the building site. The California gold rush brought emigrants through Great Salt Lake City. U.S. soldiers were stationed here in the 1850s and during the Civil War. Trade with these sojourners brought to the Mormons a measure of prosperity, although agriculture continued as the mainstay. In 1869, the transcontinental railroad was completed by the driving of the Golden Spike at Promontory Summit, some 80 miles northwest of Salt Lake City. Utah was thus connected to the East and West. Many people traveled by rail to see the “City of the Saints.” Some stayed to make and to lose their fortunes in mining. From the 1860s to the 1920s hundreds of copper, silver, gold, and lead mines were opened in the nearby canyons, including Bingham Canyon. The 1890s were a decade of change. The Mormon Church officially ended the practice of polygamy. In 1896, Utah became the 45th state and the third to extend the vote to women. Salt Lake City was its capital. “Great” had been dropped from the name in 1868. Salt Lake began to assume its present character in the early 1900s.
youtube
The State Capitol and many other historic buildings were constructed. Electric trolleys, garaged at Trolley Square (now a popular shopping mall), were installed to transport people living in the Avenues, Capitol Hill, Liberty Park, and Sugarhouse areas to downtown. The trolleys were gradually replaced in the 1930s by buses. The last streetcar line was discontinued in 1941. Eagle Gate, which had served to mark the entrance to Brigham Young’s estate, was reconstructed to allow traffic flow. City parks were built, sewer systems and street lighting were installed, and streets were paved. Between 1900 and 1930, the city’s population nearly tripled. During the 1960s several commercial and service centers were built in the suburbs, drawing business away from downtown. To help counteract this movement, the Mormon Church invested $40 million in development of a downtown shopping mall. The ZCMI Center Mall, named for Zion’s Cooperative Mercantile Institution, a prominent retail chain which was begun in Salt Lake’s pioneer days, is the result of that effort. In the 1970s new businesses and shopping malls were built and classic older buildings were renovated. The downtown skyline changed again in the 1990s when the Salt Palace Convention Center was rebuilt and a major office tower and new courts complex were constructed. Redeveloped city blocks, restored building facades and new urban parks further enhanced the beauty of downtown. The Salt Palace Convention Center once again underwent expansion. It now features 53 meeting rooms, 370,000 square feet of exhibit space, and a 45,000 square foot ballroom. A 243,000 square foot suburban convention center has also been recently constructed. Transportation projects have included the I-15 freeway reconstruction and the launch of TRAX, a $312 million light-rail system which transports passengers north and south through the Salt Lake valley and downtown. Salt Lake was proud to host the Olympic Winter Games in February 2002. The largest city ever to host the winter games, Salt Lake prepared well in advance for the most prestigious event of its history. Many venues are still in place and are available for the public to enjoy and relive Olympic memories.

ATV Accident Attorney
An ATV accident can be considered a personal injury case or a defective product case, depending on the nature of the incident. If the accident was caused by the reckless or negligent actions of another driver, it will likely be filed as a personal injury case. This will involve the insurance company of the other driver, and possible negotiation with the at-fault party. Injuries resulting from a defective or malfunctioning ATV are classified as product liability cases and fall into a realm outside of traditional accident law. In defective product cases, the at-fault party is the creator and/or seller of the defective ATV, and cases are built against the company manufacturer/seller, rather than an individual. Backed by proven results representing victims of car, truck, bus, motorcycle, and bicycle accidents, we know how to build a strong case on your behalf. In addition to our track record of success, we are committed to learning from victims, their families, and medical professionals striving to gain a greater understanding of the people behind the litigation. The All Terrain Vehicle has grown in popularity for its high speeds and use on rough surfaces. ATV’s have also grown as a source of injury. The weight and speed of these vehicles create risks for unprotected drivers and riders. A significant risk is vehicle rollover, which is a factor of the design and manufacture of the vehicles. Defects in the machines can reduce operational safety to dangerous levels and there have been a number of manufacturer recalls for All Terrain Vehicles. ATV injuries can be severe. Many models have no protection for riders and the weight and speed of these high-powered vehicles create a significant amount of force and powerful impacts.
youtube
Design flaws or manufacturing mistakes can reduce the amount of control, steering, and stopping power needed for safe operation of high-powered machines, particularly on difficult terrain. Anyone injured by or during the use of an All Terrain Vehicle should act immediately; get a free consultation with an experienced ATV accident attorney. Being involved in an accident on an ATV, also known as an all-terrain vehicle can have a lifelong impact on your quality of life. If you have been injured in an accident due to the negligence of another ATV rider, or a motor vehicle driver in an area that permits the use of ATV’s on the roadways, you have the right to a personal injury attorney to defend your rights, negotiate and litigate on your behalf, and compensation for costs that you have incurred due to the accident. Because living in Utah provides close access to areas deemed desirable to ride ATV’s, including areas like Utah’s famous sand dunes, traffic in these areas can often lead to an accident. Holidays and weekends can produce more traffic in these areas, which can often lead to an accident. If you were riding an ATV and were involved were rear ended, side swiped, run off the trail, involved in a head on, or were hit by a careless ATV rider, contact the ATV accident lawyers. Because of the dangerous nature of ATV’s, many riders choose to carry insurance to protect their liability for property damage and bodily harm that could potentially happen while riding their ATV. All ATV’s that are street legal are required to carry insurance coverage.
Risks and Regulations
Utah recently instituted laws specifying that minors have to pass ATV safety course and be supervised by adults. However, parents themselves often break the rules associated with safe operation of ATVs. Many riders have suffered catastrophic injuries or been killed with ATVs rolled over them. Amputations and spinal cord injuries are common.
How Can ATV Accident Lawyers Help You
All-terrain vehicles (ATVs) are popular among adults and teens. Some people use them for fun, and other people use them to haul heavy objects. Despite their benefits, ATVs can also be dangerous. Even when used properly, ATVs can still lead to serious injuries or death. You should contact a Lawyer immediately after the accident so that we can review your case before the evidence disappears. Some of the most common injuries that can occur during an ATV accident include brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and broken bones. Make sure to seek immediate medical care following an accident. Besides seeking medical care, you should also hire an experienced ATV accident lawyer. Figuring out who is responsible for the accident is challenging. You may need to file a claim against the owner of the ATV. If you were riding the ATV on a damaged trail, then the party who owns the trail may be responsible. Your attorney may also suggest filing a product liability case if the vehicle was defective. Through the legal process, you may receive compensation for your medical bills, pain and suffering, vehicle repairs and loss of earnings. In the event that a death occurs, you or a family member can file a wrongful death lawsuit. Even if you only suffered minor injuries, you should still visit a medical professional to document your injuries. Sometimes, minor injuries can turn into a more serious problem.
youtube
ATV Rollover Accidents
ATVs have become popular for work and recreation on many farms and ranches. Unfortunately, reported cases of serious injury and death from ATV accidents and rollovers have increased along with their increased use. Most of these ATV rollover injuries and deaths can be attributed to unstable design, too high center of gravity and/or operator error. Make ATV safety a priority on your farm or ranch; • An ATV is not a toy. • Children should not be permitted to operate ATVs without specialized training and then they should be allowed to only operate an ATV of an appropriate size. • Contact the ATV Safety Institute to enroll in a course. • ATVs with an engine size of 70cc to 90cc should be operated by people at least 12 years of age. • ATVs with an engine size of greater than 90cc should only be operated by people at least 16 years of age. • Wear appropriate riding gear: DOT-, Snell ANSI-approved helmet, goggles, gloves, over-the-ankle boots, long-sleeve shirt and long pants. • Read owner’s manuals carefully. • ATVs are not made for multiple riders. Never carry anyone else on the ATV. • Any added attachments affect the stability, operating and braking of the ATV. • Do not operate the ATV on streets, highways or paved roads.
youtube
The number of four wheel ATVs in use in the United States has increased from just more than 2 million to more than 6.9 million in the past decade. From 1982 through 2004, there were nearly 6,500 deaths involving ATVs. In 2004, an estimated 136,000 people were treated in hospital emergency rooms for ATV-related injuries many life-altering. In 2003, an estimated 740 people died nationwide in ATV incidents. About 30 percent of all deaths and injuries involve children younger than 16. Regulators want to reduce the number of children who are being hurt or killed because they are riding on adult-sized all-terrain vehicles. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says children accounted for 30 percent of the estimated 740 ATV deaths in 2003 in this country. The CPSC’s Scott Wolfsan says 90 percent of those deaths were because children were riding an adult-sized ATV. Wolfsan says children 15 years old and younger should be on off-road vehicles that weigh 150 pounds with speeds of 15 miles per hour. An adult sized ATV can weigh up to 800 pounds and reach speeds of up to 60 miles per hour. Among the CPSC’s recommended safety steps for all riders: Never allow a child to operate or ride an adult-size ATV, always wear a helmet, never ride tandem on a one-person ATV, and never ride on paved roads. The safety commission wants to make the current voluntary safety standards mandatory for the ATV industry. It also wants regulations that would ban three wheeled ATVs, and set up three youth size ATV categories.
