Part of my Mobius 37 years later au, she's an accidental byproduct of a political marriage between Sally and Shadow. Sally, after 3 divorces and finally living out her 30/40s in peace, needs an actual king (in writing) to prevent continuous claims to the throne by rivals and enemies. And Shadow, now a world renowned trailblazer in medical research, is tired of dealing with the bureaucracy and politics of his field and would desperately like someone else with authority and better patience to handle this side of work. Their marriage is completely platonic, each recognizes that there's a mutual benefit to the arrangement, and they can solve each other's problems with a more personal connection.

Helen may have been an accident, but by this point her parents have matured well and are not burdened by war to find time to raise her properly. She utilizes the same chaos inhibitors as her father, and was trained intensely by him and other masters of chaos energy to perfect her control over her abilities. She takes the same path as her mother, showing a strong interest in political sciences and justice. In the au's current time she's already set off on her own to pursue her studies.

Windshear! Her livery as a mercenary, and then a peacekeeper.

My girl is sooo proud of those peacekeeper colors I can’t even begin to tell you. Reformed criminal right there. Initially I wanted her to keep the Railgun when she joined em, and as cool as that would be one of her core beliefs is “No matter how noble your intentions are, you can’t talk about peace while pointing weapons at civilians.” so I think that might just be a bit hypocritical.

I might continue this refsheet thingy by adding her holoform. Her human alias is Cassandra. Contrary to popular belief, Cassandra isn’t a given name, but rather a callsign given to her when she was a mercenary on Earth alongside humans. I’m playing with the timelines here, I know. During that time she actually befriended a human mercenary pilot, who’s a very interesting character themselves and the only one who knew that Cassandra was an alien robot. I’m planning to eventually write some standalone non canon situations with them because they’re just the silliest criminal out there. I will do this when I figure out a callsign for them. Been calling them Mon in my own notes but that’s a shameless Monarch PW reference.

One Windshear fact is that her and Ultra Magnus hated each other before the war. Just raw, petty, little girl hatred. Going home to talk shit about each other in their diaries with glitter gel pen kind of hatred. All throughout which Senator Shockwave encouraged Windsy from the back like “beat his ass hon!”

They had very different beliefs on what the peacekeepers should be doing, and Windshear through her status as a well respected member of the group, steered them away from militarization. She believed that nobody would trust the peacekeepers if they strayed from their core, started wielding weapons and taking sides. But that’s a story for another day. Eventually they do meet after/during the war and reconcile. They have a talk and play some Fallout: New Vegas (canon) and once they understand each other they both become better friends. Maybe there’s some non-canon romantic tension there. I do not want to stray from Windshear and Shockwave being a power couple, but Magnus also has a really cool dynamic with her, so maybe I’ll write it as an AU eventually.
