The High Cloud Quintet, the legends of the Xianzhou, this is the beginning of that group and how it came to be. How [name] became mixed up in the friend group and became close friends with Yingxing and Dan Feng.

About near eighty years of friendship between the Quintet, disaster strikes the friend group. Baiheng is dead, and they don't know what to do. Dan Feng and Yingxing make an impulsive decision, leaving [name] to decide.

# — Chapter 2 (ch 2) - has been posted

It is now present time and Jing Yuan gets a strange note from a specific someone addressed to him and [name], but he wishes to talk about old times with them again before he tells them about said note.

# — Chapter 3 (ch 3) - still writing

Jing Yuan and [name] know the sender of the note, and decided to meet up. They guessed that Jingliu had returned, but for what? They see that the others are here as well, and things happen. Old memories return, and what was carefully put together starts to crack for a second time.

you shall receive a headcanon about nancy and will. (mike & jon are kinda in here too just by proxy.)

nancy and will don't know each other very well. i mean, they're around each other all the time and nancy has known him since he was a kid, and she knows a bunch about him tangentially from jonathan. but when they interact its polite, a little awkward. but post vecna shit, when everything calms down, nancy starts...noticing things. things she didn't notice before. the way mike acts differently with will when they're alone vs when they're with the party, the way they're constantly panicking whenever someone talks to them. nancy is too good of an investigator to not see that something is up. she asks jonathan if he knows anything, but he refuses to talk about it. "it's not my business, and nance (softly), its not yours either." nancy, stubborn as ever, does not listen. one day while will and mike are down in the basement, she knocks. will and mike find it odd that she comes down to tell mike that their mom needs help carrying groceriese in, instead of yelling down the stairs like she usually does. she stands patiently, waiting for mike to go, come on, get to it. mike kind of side eyes nancy as he passes her to head upstairs, unsure of whats going on. nancy is left alone with will. they do the small talk thing: hows your day? oh its good, how are you? good, weather is nice, etc etc.

then nancy says, "you know, we should all hang out some time. me and jonathan, you and mike. i think it would be...fun." she almost groans through that last word, like it pains her.

"uh, i, sure. yeah, okay, i mean. um. yeah," will stutters. nancy nods, lips pressed into a tight smile.

"sounds good." and she heads back upstairs.

she doesn't hear this part, the conversation will and mike have after she's left and mike is done with grocery assistance. mike plops down on the couch next to will and asks, "were you talking to nancy? what was that?"

will thinks for a second, still stunned by what nancy said. "i think...i think she asked us to go on a double date with her and jonathan."

"wh-what? what?" mike sputters. "i, what? thats...what?---"

"i don't know! she just came down here and was being really weird and...i don't know!" will falls back in his seat. he and mike reel on opposite ends of the couch, minds racing.

i mean, why would nancy even say something like that? it's not like will and mike are dating.

I don't think I've ever seen someone ship neilaaron romantically lol, it's so rare I didn't even consider specifying in my bio

Anyway, the short answer is I mostly lean towards platonic neilaaron but I'm intrigued by romantic neilaaron tbh, like I'm down with it absolutely 🧡
