ok back on my DID DS Nightmare bullshit again

And by back on my bullshit I mean I’m ready to talk about two of the scenario-specific alters

Also I made a tag for him. I added it to the other post. It’s Solar System DS Nightmare, in the interest of it not getting mixed up with actual space science posts

So these two alters formed after the same event.

The short version is, Nightmare got caught by JR and was put under arrest, and while he managed to make it out, it took a hot while and everyone in there thought they were going to die.

By the time Dream comes to see him in his cell, 4/5 headmates have tried and failed to get them out of their current situation.

By the time Dream comes down, Noot is fronting.

Remember how I said Noot fronting in serious danger is Really Fucking Bad For Them?

Yeah

Noot is not only having to deal with this dangerous situation (with little to no memory of how they got there, because he doesn’t hang out where he can see/hear what’s going on outside, and everyone else is dead silent right now), he also is forced to confront the fact that Dream absolutely is ready and willing to kill him.

They make it out alive, and pretty fucked up.

The first one who forms after this is Rad. In headspace, he looks like radiant DS Nightmare.

He is now the last line of defense to keep Noot from fronting in extreme danger. Since they survived their experience, their brain assumed Noot must’ve done something right, so Rad is very much like Noot in terms of personality. He’s also the most stubborn of their active alters.

At first, after forming, Rad mostly stayed with Noot to try and comfort him. Noot’s not doing well at all. The others don’t really know what to do, so they’re trying to give Noot some space.

A few days to a week later, they find another guy in there. They’re in memory storage when Rad notices them. For a second he thinks Noot is trying to interact with the memories, which would be Bad (he thinks, anyway. He’s not sure), but no. It’s a whole ass Guy.

Their name is currently undecided (current candidates are ‘Hope’ and ‘Wish’), but they look and act almost exactly like DS Dream, pre-incident. But they’re here to comfort Noot, and unlike Dream himself, they almost never leave Noot’s side.

No one, not even Noot or the new guy, know if they’re here because Noot dearly wished for his friend back, or if their brain did it on its own to keep Noot—and by extension the rest of the system—from falling apart.
