The SSC exam result 2020 will not be published in their respective schools following the closure of all educational institutions.

This year, the SSC exams began on February 3 and ended on March 6. Some 2,047,779 students took part in the SSC and its equivalent examinations held at 3,512 centres.

All the education boards have already started sending messages to all cell phone providers and so that all candidates and/or their parents will registrar for their results.

To know about SSC and equivalent results, the pre-registration is continuing for 24 hours before publishing the result.

Around 10:00am on May 31, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will officially announce SSC results 2020 at Ganabhaban in Dhaka via video conference.

Later, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni will reveal the detail information about the results at 12:00pm though a Facebook live programme, UNB reports.

Earlier, there was a planning of publishing the SSC exam results on May 7 or 8, 2020. But the government could not publish it due to closure of all schools.

Last year, the pass rate of the results of SSC and equivalent exams was 82.20 per cent.

Since the three cases of COVID-19 were first reported in Bangladesh on March 8, the government shut all educational institutions from March 17 to 31. Later, the shutdown was extended till May 30.

Bangladesh recorded 582 deaths from coronavirus (COVID-19) infections so far till today (May 29). The total number of infected persons has reached 42,844, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
