Sorry if it's boring, but continuing with LawRusso AU Johnny princess, I really like the "enchanted" movie and I can't stop thinking about Johnny being Giselle singing to the rats and cockroaches to clean Daniel and Sam's house lol
Tumblr media
as a rule of thumb it is NEVER boring to send me asks, especially ones like these where i can have fun and think of AUs! and you picked a movie i love so this is just a win win for me!!
let’s get into it:
lawrusso enchanted AU is such a good idea im almost jealous i didn’t think of it myself!!
i think daniel and amanda got divorced amicably a few years ago and she still lives in los angeles but daniel moved back to jersey to be closer to lucille and he took sam with him (im imagining this as a story without anthony because it fits better, sorry anthony).
daniel still works as a divorce lawyer because that is just funny to me and it’s canon to the movie and he has this perpetual look of "im one shirt sleeve caught on a door handle away from snapping" look because being a single father is hard work and yeah, he and amanda co-parent but sam is with him most of the time and by moving here he’s always made himself more prone to special lucille larusso mother attacks of "you never visit even now that you’re so close" "you’re so skinny, do you cook actual food or just eat take out?" "are you coming for christmas? all your cousins will be there and also that nice girl you liked when you were a kid, judy? maybe it’s time to get back into dating, daniel!"
amanda has planned to come into the city to spend the holidays with her daughter and ex-husband and i see her as a platonic nancy role.
sam is in her full princess era and she’s making both her parents crazy with all the singing and dancing (and kicking furniture because she’s a karate princess)
meanwhile, in andalasia, johnny who is both prince(ss) and hero dreams of finding his one true love and sighs at his window. he’s been locked away in a tower by his evil step-dad kreese and he’s waiting for someone to come and save him (or at least just open the door of his magically locked tower because he can surely save himself).
carmen who happens to be a princess and hero herself has gone on a quest to save the lost prince of andalasia and with her help, johnny manages to escape the tower, defeat a forest troll and take back his throne from kreese’s claws. he and carmen tentatively get together (but deep down both feel this might not be the right fit for each other) and as johnny makes his way to his own royal wedding he’s sent to Real Life New Jersey and meets daniel and sam.
i kind of see giselle’s wedding dress for him but with pants for a more Realistic outfit but… screw realism i want johnny lawrence in that EXACT outfit!
Tumblr media
also imagine scott mccall the equalizer soft mullet with a tiara, it’s just too good. ALSO imagine carmen IN THIS!!!!
Tumblr media
you KNOW she would rock this!!
oh and yeeees, johnny summoning rats and insects in daniel’s apartment to clean and sam is SOOOOO excited because that’s a real life prince(ss) who also happens to be a great fighter and they do karate moves while also talking about johnny’s best friend, a chipmunk called bobby.
sam and johnny going on a shopping spree and buying a bunch of stuff and eating ice cream. johnny going to the hairdresser and having his hair cut to look more traditionally masculine (daniel doesn’t want to look into why it makes him sad) because he he keeps getting looks from people in the street for his dress and long hair.
johnny making clothes out of daniel’s curtains and daniel is all you could just ASK me for MY clothes you are not THAT much bigger than i am. johnny making a gi for sam out of pastel pink flower fabric from an old blanket and daniel is like okay… i have to admit that’s pretty adorable.
johnny in the park singing to daniel, who has been wondering if he should take his mom’s advice and try to get back with amanda, hoooow dooooes she knooooow you loooove heeeer (johnny stop, people are looking at us) and johnny has that giselle/animated princess innocence but there is still very much an edge of assholery to him where every time he can he embarrasses daniel as much as possible.
(carmen running around new jersey trying to find her prince(ss) and being like i kind of hate this i wish this was more sunny, also why do i keep getting questions about being on broadway what is a broad a way)
daniel and johnny fighting because johnny keeps saying carmen will come get him and daniel is so fed up with it ("no, johnny, it’s just not gonna happen." "no? is that the only word you know, larusso? no?! oh my god you make me so, so so!!!" "so what?" "so angry!" cue sparring in the living room because that’s how they deal with emotions )
johnny and daniel falling in love montage and then CARMEN AND AMANDA FALLING IN LOVE MONTAGE!!! YES I WILL SNEAK CARMANDA IN EVERYTHING EVER!!
kreese coming to new jersey to finish the job, daniel and johnny going to the ball and daniel giving johnny a true love’s kiss, kreese turning into a dragon and kidnapping daniel, johnny chasing them on the roof with carmen’s sword in his hand and finally getting rid of his evil step-father to save his one true love!!
"is this an habit of yours, daniel? falling off of stuff?"
"only when you’re there to catch me."
lawrusso new jersey happy ending and carmanda los angeles happy ending because amanda wouldn’t go to andalasia when sam is there and hey! carmen would love a break from being a fairytale hero! she wants to go to the beach!
daniel quits his job because it makes him miserable and he and johnny open a dojo together which sam is very excited about and lucille is so happy that her son has found someone and seems to be happier than ever.
they all go to andalasia once in a while to visit bobby and the other three chipmunks (you know who they are) and they all live happily ever after.
the end!

Arknights Chapter XIII - The Whirlpool That Is Passion (Part I)
Tumblr media
GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY AND I WISH ALL THOSE WHO WISH TO BE HOEDERER/VENDELA/VERDANT OWNERS TO BE HAVERS BECAUSE IT'S A WONDERFUL DAY AND I AM SO OVERDUE WITH WRITING THIS ACTUALLY!!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
WARNING: This post is going to contain a lot of yapping from me about Hoederer and how much I love him and would also have a LOT of spoilers.
I am also a great yume-shipper, so my Dr. and Hoederer are married, that information should help with the weird comments sometimes.
Might make it different parts because all those SS will never fit even up to the part I am right now.
Perhaps first of all I need to mention how the pulling went? Apart from my day being catastrophically long and arduous, I managed to sneak some snacking in-between the one additional hour I had left after returning home.
Tumblr media
I was actually shaking. Jittering out of my bones, near-heart attack type of activity was happening on my side of the screen while everybody else watched. I was supposed to take SS of every 10-pull but... I got ahead of myself. I think I had around 130 pulls, excluding the ones that I could buy from the ticket shop and the Originium that I blew for a skin.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I even kind of... Skipped my first Hoederer. The one below is the second one, that I ended my funds for, until I could buy the level 60 pack from the shop.
Tumblr media
But we caught the third one.
Tumblr media
And as it happens I was underprepared with money and XP cards, though I had all the materials for his skills. Bless the green tickets for allowing me to bulk-buy some of them actually since... My god farming for the RMA70-12 is tedious, fruitless and sad.
If I could get a penny for every single time this loser was being problematic I would have enough to buy them and never have problems again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In any case, he could be immediately E1 lvl80d, and I have been grinding enough to get him to E2 on the same day. He's currently lvl60, cooking his M3 on S1 with Wishlash giving him a thumbs up every time he pulls out a whole boiled chicken to eat.
Starved Sarkaz, am I right?
Tumblr media
Even his little token that you get when he joins you another time... I am actually crying, I love him so much and I am so happy he became playable.
Speaking of, did anybody know that the furniture set is separated into a couple other, smaller sets, or was I supposed to learn this from googling it myself?
Apparently, the whole set is called Mercenaries' Hideout, but the smaller sections of it are:
Writing Is Meaningless
Don't Ever Truly Rest
Secondhand Goods
Maintain Your Health
And I am sitting here, tears in my eyes reading their descriptions... When I first remembered that Chapter 13 was coming with a new set I almost screamed. Dr. Pinkie was making fun of me for calling this jail cell basically the same epithets you would use for a five-star hotel, but it really was close to my heart the way it mixed compact with DIY/'Hey, you'll never guess what I found on the street' kind of interior.
And because it is based around Hoederer, we are going to look through it first and read the descriptions before I actually descend into the story.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Description of the full set reads:
A recreation of a hideout in Kazdel, based on Hoederer's description and a number of additional details provided by Ines. As for anything not recreated from their recollections, it's best not to touch—Anything added by W might just blow up.
I love to imagine that these three have to share a dorm and the Doctor just goes up to Ines and Hoederer and asks if there is anything they can do to make it cosy or somehow homey. Also to think that both of them would have recollections of these 'hideouts' in Kazdel... Meanwhile, W seems like she's never been in those? My memory is kind of fuzzy about just how old the three are in comparison to each other.
Before/After Kazdel is pretty much like Before/After Eve was on the internet.
Tumblr media
Basement Flooring:
Flooring that recreates the vibes of the basement where the mercenaries lived back in Kazdel. Ines sometimes muses that the place would be more suitable as a small shop. The two both ignored W's suggestion to sell potatoes there.
Tumblr media
Basement Wallpaper:
Wallpaper that recreates the look of the basement where the mercenaries lived back in Kazdel. The gray walls look almost exactly the same as before. This time, when they look out the window, it is not the dust-covered Kazdel that they see.
Tumblr media
'Our Current State'
A light tube is attached to a frame haphazardly welded together from multiple iron plates, letting out a warm glow despite its appearance. No matter how unstable it may seem, its light can carry the mercenaries through the dark night.
Somehow this little light contraption is 10000x better than any glaring white LED lightbulb that you could ever introduce to me these days.
Tumblr media
Rust-colored Rug
A rug showing signs of age that look almost like rust. For some reason, this makes it blend in with the room's style. Is there a color that better reflects life in Kazdel? At least it's not blood-colored.
WHAT IF I JUST EXPLODE IN TEARS???!!!!????!!!!!
Tumblr media
Writing Work Desk
A desk piled with books and documents. There are clear traces of manual craftsmanship. Few of the Sarkaz publications sitting on the desk are actually written in the Sarkaz language.
Hoederer's writing desk, I love him so much. The place he might be writing down the different things he wants to be telling to his class, because you KNOW I will absolutely be filing for sponsorship to get him those books and songs he might want to use. Pull in other Sarkaz on the ship to help. Not sure who I have who could be specifically from Kazdel times, but we will find them for you sweetie.
Tumblr media
Intel Organizer
A must-have document pegboard for mercenaries, usually used to confirm target information and locations prior to missions. The photographs are always taken down whenever their owner returns. Yet sometimes, their owner never returns.
... I think I am actually going to die from sadness and we have not even started the chapter yet.
Tumblr media
Storage Steel Pipe
A rack welded together from steel pipes and plates, normally used to hang clothes and hats. "How many times do I have to say this? Do not hang your work aprons here!"
I don't know who is speaking but the 'work apron' looks like it's Hoederer's and if I have to assume it's probably Ines who is scolding him about it. Little rebel, does it anyways.
Tumblr media
Mercenaries' Bed
A flatbed trolley turned sofa bed. The fabric has frayed, but it is indeed soft and roomy. The broken wheel hubs ensure that it stays in place. For a very long time, this was the only place where the nights were not plagued by nightmares.
Imagine being on your trolley sofa-bed and suddenly RI begins moving because there is an emergency and your silly wheels go squeak-squeak towards the other end of the room at the same speed at which you were sitting still because everything else is moving but the bed is trying to stay at the same spot---
Me: "Do we know how fast RI moves?" Pinkie: "As fast as Czernobog can move towards Lungmen. It has to be fast enough to outrun a tornado." Me: "OH. Alright. Yeah, that makes sense."
Tumblr media
"No Overloading"
Originally an exquisite wooden hanging lamp that lets out a warm glow. There are always knickknacks piled on top. It has a warning placed above: "No stacking!" Hoederer asked Ines, "Is this really something we can use?" Ines answered, "Yes."
IS THAT A PHOTO???? IS THAT??? WHAT ARE THEY???? Books???
Tumblr media
Simple Study Ceiling Light
A part that the mercenaries removed from who-knows-what and hung from the ceiling. It started glowing, and not only is it very bright, it's also very hot. Ines asked Hoederer, "Is this really something we can use?" Hoederer answered, "Yes."
Hoederer, sweetie, I think if Ines gets to ask 'Can we use this safely?' then perhaps we might not have to use a random fire stick someone found somewhere.
Tumblr media
Portable Stove
A stove that's portable, easy to assemble. What's on it likely belongs to a certain dangerous individual. Do not touch. "Oh, the paper in the stove? I ran out of fuel. By the way, Hoederer, you hungry? I cooked some potatoes over there."
YEAH? WITH HIS BOOKS, DIDNT YOU W???
Tumblr media
"Versatility"
A bookshelf put together from multiple recycled materials. The lamp at the top was brought back by Ines. She said it was to make it easier to see shadows. The box at the foot of the shelf is full of historical studies.
Yeah, I too need a dowry chest full of books to feel satisfied.
Tumblr media
Secondhand File Cabinet
A heavy steel file cabinet containing the historical data of each Sarkaz clan. Today, even the names of many of the clans documented within are indecipherable.

Well-Worn Things || Chapter 5
Tumblr media
Chapter 1 / Chapter 2 / Chapter 3 / Chapter 4
Read on AO3
Fandom: Masters of the Air
Pairing: Quinn / Louise
Words: 3.9k
Tumblr media
Quinn’s neck, back, and legs were contorted and folded to fit on the top-most steps down to the cellar, and for what? He strained his ears but couldn’t hear anything. Hadn’t heard anything for sometime now. Thoughts raced through his head. Had Louise and her family been taken off by the Nazis? Shot in their heads right there in the front yard?
Calm down, Quinn told himself. He would have heard something like that.
Still, it was hard for his imagination not to run wild.
He had heard the conversations, the Germans questioning Louise from what sounded like right over him. The floorboards had creaked, a sound he had been surprised to have been able to hear given how loudly his heart was rushing through his body. He wanted to see for himself what was going on but didn’t dare even touch the door above him, until suddenly there were footsteps rapidly approaching, the door swung open, and the light hit his face.
“William—!”
And there Louise was suddenly, her eyes wide and her face a little white, but otherwise like she always was. Quinn raised his head slightly to floor-level.
“They’re gone?”
“Yes—everything is okay,” Louise replied, helping him out. He got to his feet and stretched his limbs. Then he peered carefully down the hall as Louise put everything back in place. There was no sign of the Nazis. In fact, it didn’t even really look like they had been here at all. There wasn’t any furniture out of place, nor did it seem they had left anything of theirs.
“What happened?”
“They looked around for a while and asked some questions,” Louise stammered.
“Did they take anything?” Quinn asked. “Are you all right?”
“Yes, we are all fine,” she assured him. “They did not take anything but oh my God, they were standing right over you at one point, I was so scared you were going to sneeze or make a noise—”
“I thought they were,” Quinn said. “I heard them walking right along here. Shit, that was close…” He glanced down at his feet where he knew the trap door was. “How did they even know to come here?”
“Someone in town tipped them off,” Armand said from the kitchen. Louise and Quinn looked over at him.
“Who?” Louise demanded.
“I’m not sure yet. But I was just at the office and someone came in telling me I needed to get back here right away, that the SS were on their way. So I took off as fast as I could."
“Well, you just saved all of our lives, as far as I’m concerned,” Quinn said. “…Jesus.”
“Yes, thank God for you,” Louise’s father said. “And for that person who told you about it. Are you meeting again tomorrow?
“Of course. I need to let them know what happened. And find out if we know who the sneak was,” Armand said, scowling. “I’ll have to stop by first thing in the morning anyway, just so they know we’re all alive.”
Louise’s mother said something a little sharply, prompting the family to acquiesce to whatever she requested. Armand and Louise’s father filed down the hallway, but Louise lingered.
“Louise?”
Louise said something in response and then waited until her mother had gone before turning to Quinn. “She thinks we should all turn in for the evening so Armand can rest.”
It was probably a smart decision by Louise’s mother, Quinn thought. “Then—do you…?”
“I told her I would not stay up that late. You probably do not want to go back down there for a little while, do you?” She gave him a knowing look, and, without waiting for him to reply, stepped around him to sit on the couch, leaving Quinn no other option but to do the same.
“I’m sorry about this,” Quinn said.
His apology surprised Louise. “Why? It was not your fault.”
“Wasn’t it?” he challenged. “If I wasn’t here, they probably never would have suspected.”
Louise almost scoffed. “It takes a lot less than that for the Nazis to think a person has done something against them. Besides, if you wanted to get out, Achten and Vincent needed to interview you. The only way that could happen was if we went to town.”
Quinn fiddled with his fingers. “Still. I’m not helping things by being here.”
“Well, you can stop that thinking now,” Louise said firmly. “Besides, then what would you have done? Gone to some other family that might not have had someone like Armand who could get tipped off in case there was an emergency.” She threaded her fingers together. “I told you before, didn’t I? This is what we’re supposed to do. And we all know what risks are involved with this sort of thing.”
She had told him. He nodded slightly. He mirrored her and clasped his hands. “Would they come back?”
“The Nazis?”
“Mm.”
Louise shrugged. “I don’t know. Maybe.”
Her answer was about what Quinn expected, but it didn’t comfort him. “Then…is there anything we can do? Anything I can do?” He felt like he was slipping into the old anxious, badgering self again that he had managed to put away for a little while, but it was hard to deny that this evening hadn’t shaken him.
“Well…you shouldn’t probably leave the house anymore,” Louise said. “Not until we get updates on your papers. The less people see you…the better.”
It wasn’t hard to follow Louise’s advice for the short term, since it rained steadily over the next couple of days. Fortunately for Quinn, the weather also meant that Louise wasn’t able to do as much work in the garden, so he could be thankful that he had a companion around the house to pass his hours. They distracted themselves with card games and youthful diversions like crayon drawings and, ironically enough, folding more paper airplanes and throwing them down the long hallway. There were no books in English to be found, so Quinn had to be content with just looking at the illustrations in childrens' books, until Louise saw him one day and offered to translate some of the shorter stories that she liked.
The process of his escape remained prominent in his mind, however much he tried to keep it occupied. Quinn kept his mouth shut about it, knowing there was nothing he could do to speed it up and his questions were just a nuisance at this point. The only reason he knew that it was still moving was that one day Armand lined him up against a wall and took his picture—something that might have normally been done in the office but was now being done at the house in order to cut down on potential expose, Louise explained. Other than this brief exception, however, Louise and Armand were remarkably tight-lipped about anything they might have known, for good reason, Quinn supposed. He didn’t blame them for not keeping him updated. As it came close to a month in Belgium, Quinn resigned himself to the reality that his stay in the country was looking like it might be longer than he thought it would be.
“No need to look so glum, Quinn,” Armand said one evening, though. “I have good news.”
Quinn blinked and stared at him, not daring to voice what he hoped.
“Your papers are ready. And your friend Bailey’s too.”
Everyone else stopped what they were doing and odd quiet fell upon them all. But for Quinn, the words washed over him in a haze. “You mean…” He furrowed his brow in an unvoiced question.
Armand nodded. Quinn dropped his fork with a clatter, the sound mingling with the gasps around the table. Someone grabbed Quinn’s shoulders and shook them in celebration, but he hardly felt it, didn’t see who it was. He had screwed his face up and pressed it into his hands with a deep breath, momentarily dumbstruck. For a minute he could do nothing else out of sheer relief. Finally, the authorization to begin his journey back to England. The elation that flowed through him was so sweet he could have cried.
“Thank you,” Quinn managed shakily, when he lifted his head. “God—I can’t believe it—”
“Jean will come here tomorrow at noon with everything you need. Then you’ll be on your way.”
“Tomorrow?” Quinn repeated. After sitting around for what seemed like an eternity, he now had less than a day before he would be gone. He caught Louise’s eye. Though she was smiling at him, he felt a twinge of regret that he would be leaving so soon.
Still, he could relax this evening. Since he didn’t have a room to pack or business matters to see to, he helped clean the house as much as possible, doing his regular washing up of the dishes but also going over the stove and counters, sweeping, and taking out the trash. Louise and her mother protested, but he waved them off, insisting. Being a good house guest was all he could have done, after all.
When the house went quiet for the night, Quinn stayed awake on his pallet. He rolled from side to side, thinking too much to sleep. He was excited to go home, of course, or at least be on the road at last. He would miss it here, though. As bizarre of a situation as it was, Quinn had treasured the comforts of home that Louise’s family had been able to provide. Clothes, food, conversation. And of course, protection from certain death, at the risk of their own lives. It was all more generosity than he could have hoped for when he parachuted out of Alice those weeks ago. That he would soon be departing, and so abruptly at that, before he could properly express his gratitude, seemed like a poor way to repay his hosts.
A light tap gave him the excuse to finally sit up. Quinn threw his blanket aside and went up to the door. Somewhat unexpectedly when he opened it, though, it was Armand, not Louise, who had knocked. He had never come to the basement like this.
“Sorry,” Armand said. “Were you sleeping?”
“Couldn’t,” Quinn replied, shrugging. He let Armand come down. They stood in the middle of the little cellar directly across from each other, illuminated only by the flashlight by Quinn’s bed.
“I just wanted to say goodbye,” Armand said. “I’m off early tomorrow, so I probably will not see you before then.”
“Oh.” Quinn ran a hand through his hair with a puff of breath. “Then I just gotta say again, thank you for everything. Really. I don’t know what else to say.”
“No need. That’s our job,” Armand said, echoing his sister. “You were good with it all. Makes it a lot easier, if the person we help is not a jerk.”
Quinn’s eyebrow twitched, but he couldn’t argue with that sentiment.
“Louise especially thinks that,” Armand added. At Quinn’s expression, he grinned a little. “She will kill me, but…she really likes you.”
The insides of Quinn’s stomach flipped slightly. “She said that?”
“I’m her brother,” Armand reminded him. “She did not need to.”
“Oh.”
He didn’t know why he couldn’t think of anything in response, why he felt so tongue-tied like he was back in middle school. Quinn was old enough now to tell when girls were soft on him; it wasn’t exactly a surprise. But he was old enough as well to tell when he felt the same.
“I like her too,” he said.
Armand took a step toward him and for a second Quinn thought he was going to hit him in the face. But the hand he raised only clapped down on his shoulder.
“Then can you let her know somehow before you leave tomorrow? So she has something she can hold on to.”
“Sure,” Quinn agreed, the word slipping out of him before he had really digested what Armand meant.
The smile on Armand’s face widened. “Good. Then you Americans keep giving the Nazis hell.” He put his hand out.
Quinn clasped it and they shook. “We’ll do our best.”
Tumblr media
Breakfast was heartier than usual. Two pieces of toast, two eggs, and a glass of milk. Quinn studied at his food and then Louise. “Did you give me your breakfast?” he asked suspiciously.
She looked over at him. “Just eat.” She would brook no argument today, and remembering what lay before him, Quinn decided not to quarrel. Louise did not initially sit with him; she went somewhere off in the house for a little and then Quinn saw her laden with an armful of things. She disappeared down into the cellar and then came back up.
“I gathered some things for you,” she said. “And a new pair of clothes that you should wear.”
“Okay.” Quinn stared at his half-consumed meal and forced himself to eat some more of it.
“How are you?”
Quinn pressed his lips together. “Little nervous,” he admitted.
Louise appeared as if she was going to move, but didn’t. “The person that is your guide will be good. I know that.”
“Oh, I’m sure they will be,” Quinn said. “Just—I’m guessing it will be a lot.”
“Not any more than being in your airplane,” Louise said. “You can do it.”
Quinn downed his glass of milk and bounce his leg a few times. “Yeah.” He could hear he sounded absent-minded, lost in the realm of possibilities. He tried to focus again. This wasn’t how he wanted to spend his last few hours here.
The feel of Louise’s hands on his brought him back to the kitchen. Her hands were warm, warm and quietly comforting like they had been the last time he felt them, the night he had confessed to her about Baby Face. They looked at each other, not smiling—the weight of the day was too much for that. Quinn wondered if he should tell her what he had promised Armand he would tell her, and didn’t.
Rather, he went down to the basement again, and saw the things that Louise had put by his bed. A leather satchel and stack of clothes were the most prominent, but there was also a pencil and several sheets of paper, scissors, bandages, cigarettes, and a few coins. He organized the smaller items into the bag and then grabbed the sweater at the top of the pile. Pressed between it and the trousers was an envelope, closed but unsealed.
Quinn dropped the shirt and picked the envelope up carefully. Inside was a thin piece of paper, so thin his fingers showed under it. He had never seen the handwriting before but knew at once it must have been Louise’s.
Dear William,
I wanted to express how much I have enjoyed having you in our home since you came to us those weeks ago. You have been the most accommodating and patient with everything. I know it cannot have been easy to trust us, but you did. You always thought about us instead of yourself. It was not ideal, but if anything had to happen to us, I am glad it was you. I am glad I got to meet you. Thank you for being my friend during this war. I will never forget it.
The others who help you will be prepared, but I found a few things around the house that I hope are useful in your next journey. Share them with your friend if he doesn’t have any. I am sure you are probably nervous, but whatever happens, stay resolved, smart, and please do not ever give up your goal. The people will help you, so let them like you did with us. Take heart, because yours is too good to lose. Know that Mama, Papa, and Armand join me when I tell you: all of our most fervent prayers are with you and that you both reach England safely.
Yours,
Louise
Quinn swallowed. He ran his thumb over where Louise had signed her name, remembering what he had told Armand. He had missed his chance earlier.
He reached for the pocket where he had folded the paper.

There wasn’t much time left. Louise went to her room, fished around in her closet, retrieved something, and then went to knock on the cellar door. “Quinn? Do you have everything?”
“Yeah, you can come on down,” came his voice.
He was getting to his feet from folding the covers from his bed when Louise did. He had changed into the clothes she had provided, a dark ensemble of blue and gray, and the messenger bag was slung over his shoulder. Louise checked around the basement—not that Quinn had had many possessions to forget here.
“Does everything fit?” Louise asked, gesturing towards the garments. She didn’t know when the next time he would be able to change; if anything felt uncomfortable, now would be the only time to address it.
“What?” Oh, yeah. Great. Thanks.”
Louise gave him a tiny nod. In the silence, she thought of what she had taken from her room. She almost brought it out—
“I got your letter,” Quinn blurted out awkwardly.
“Oh—“ Heat bloomed in Louise even though she had wanted him to read it; she hadn’t expected him to mention it.
“I wanted to give you a reply,” he went on, and he stuck his hand out with it, folded into quarters. “I couldn’t find any envelopes, sorry.”
“No, that’s all right!” Louise said quickly. “You didn’t have to—”
“I wanted to,” he said. “That pretty much sums up everything—” His eyes shifted quickly away, clearly nervous, in an endearing way.
“Okay.” As Louise slipped it into her pocket, her hand slipped against a piece of soft material. She curled her fingers around it.
“Just one more thing, then.” With a quick flourish, Louise whisked her blue and white scarf out and wrapped it around Quinn’s neck. He looked down at it, confused for a moment and trying to see what it was. His eyes widened a little when he did.
“What are you doing—This is yours. You saved for it, your brother got it back—it belongs with you.”
Louise smiled. “You are sweet, William. But I realized, I forgot to tell you. You won the bet.” At his nonplussed expression, she explained, “The night the Germans came to search us. The plane fell out of the tree when they were leaving, like you said it would before the end of the day. So you won.”
“I thought we weren’t playing for anything then,” Quinn argued.
She shrugged. “I changed my mind.” Ignoring his protest, Louise tied the scarf into a loose knot and tucked it under his collar. “Last time I was forced to give it away to someone I despised. So now I’m giving it to someone I like. Because I want to.” She took a step back from him, looking fondly at it. “Who knows. It might end up being a good luck charm.”
Quinn ran a finger over the fabric. “Thank you.”
She smiled a little sadly at him. She couldn’t deny that it hurt some to part with her beloved scarf, but it seemed right. It had seemed unlikely she would ever see it again, but she had always known too that it was still out there, somewhere, in the same world as she was. She didn’t know if she would ever see Quinn again, this person who she had become so fond of, but he would be out there too, somewhere, now with her scarf.
“Louise! Monsieur Achten!” her mother called.
So the moment was here.
Louise led Quinn for the last time up the stairs and to the front of the house. Achten was talking to her parents while Bailey, Quinn’s friend, stood several paces off watching them from a distance.
“Monsieur?” Louise interrupted. “Here he is.”
Achten looked Quinn up and down. “Are you ready? Have everything?”
Quinn glanced at Louise and her family. “Yes. Could I just have a minute?”
Achten looked between them. “All right.” He clapped Louise’s father on the shoulder and tipped his head towards her mother before walking off.
“Thank you,” Quinn said to her parents when Achten was out of earshot. “For everything. You’ve all been…unbelievable. I owe you all my life. Thank you.”
Louise’s father shook his hand. “We were pleased to do it. Good luck,” he said gruffly. “We wish you the best.”
“Take this,” Louise’s mother said. “In case you want something to eat.” She pressed an apple into his hand and then held them between hers after he put it in his bag. “God bless you.”
“Thank you,” Quinn said again. “Thank you.”
He turned to Louise. She tried to smile.
“Take care of that scarf, William,” Louise said. Next to her, she felt her parents turn to stare at her. They hadn’t realized she had given it to him. She ignored their eyes. “Be safe.”
“I will. Thank you,” William said. “Thank you.” First to her, and then to her parents, once more. He turned to go.
Louise watched him, her heart beating oddly fast as she thought over what she had said. There hadn’t been much to it. Not as much as she thought she might have said. Maybe she should have been more personal. She shook her head, trying to rid herself of these thoughts; she’d only make herself regret it—it was too late.
But it wasn’t too late, she thought at the same time. He was still right there, just a few meters away way. He hadn’t even left the yard completely yet.
“Um—William!”
Louise ran forward, her ears flaming with self-consciousness with what she was about to do. Quinn paused where he was and she caught up to him, thinking somewhere in the back of her mind she was going to make this so much harder. “I just wanted to say too—I…I hope we see each other again one day.”
He nodded. “I hope so too.”
A few breaths went in and out of Louise. “I wish you all the luck in the world getting home. Truly,” she stammered, hoping these words were better. Quinn had read her letter too, she reminded herself. What else could she say? She didn’t know.
Only instinct did—
Louise stepped closer and placed a light kiss on his cheek. Chaste. Brief. But enough. Not something to be said, but something to be done.
“Goodbye, William.”
She hoped she did not seem overwrought. He met her gaze steadily, though, as if to reassure her that she did not, and that he, also, was torn.
“Goodbye, Louise.”
The sound of him saying her name. She didn’t want to forget it. How he looked as they locked eyes. She didn’t want to forget that either. She didn’t blink. She wanted to remember this last moment, everything. It was selfish of her. Other people were waiting for him. He had to go.
Quinn grasped the strap of his bag. Without another word, he jogged away down to the grass. And then just as suddenly as when he had entered Louise’s life by coming around the hedge into the yard—
He had left it.
Disappearing beyond the hedge to some place that she didn’t know.
Gone.

SS 304 Wiremesh Round Bars
Stainless Steel 304 Wiremesh Round Bars
Introduction :
Stainless steel 304 wire mesh pipes and tubes are crafted using a specific grade of stainless steel known as 304, which is renowned for its corrosion resistance and durability. These pipes and tubes are woven with wire mesh, typically made from stainless steel as well, to provide added strength, filtration, or separation capabilities.
Product Overview:
They are commonly used in various industries such as petrochemical, pharmaceutical, food processing, and wastewater treatment. The wire mesh design allows for the passage of fluids or gases while filtering out solid particles, making them suitable for applications where filtration is essential.
Specification Of Stainless Steel 304 Wiremesh Pipes & Tubes :
Material: 304-grade stainless steel (aka the workhorse of stainless steel — reliable, corrosion-resistant, and low maintenance)
Diameter Range: Usually 5mm to 500mm. They come in all sizes, so you’ve got options from pencil-thin to hefty bars.
Tolerance: +/- some millimeters depending on the supplier, but generally pretty tight (they won’t be wobbly or misshapen, don’t worry)
Finish: Bright or polished. Aka, shiny but not in-your-face shiny. It's classy, not flashy.
Length: 1 meter to 6 meters (or cut to whatever length you need). Think: "Goldilocks would approve."
Tensile Strength: About 515 MPa (super strong, won’t snap on you).
Corrosion Resistance: Excellent in most environments. No rust drama here unless you dunk it in acid or saltwater 24/7.
Standards: ASTM A276, ASTM A479, or whatever your local standards are. Basically, these bars play by the rules.
Applications of Stainless Steel 304 Wire Mesh Round Bars:
1. Industrial Uses:
   - Stainless steel 304 is widely used in industries like petrochemical, chemical, and oil and gas due to its excellent corrosion resistance.
   - Wire mesh round bars are often utilized for filtration, separation, and screening processes in these sectors.
2. Construction:

3. Food Processing:
   - 304 stainless steel is non-toxic and hygienic, making it ideal for applications in food and beverage processing industries. It is used in wire mesh for filtration systems and round bars for food-grade equipment construction.
4. Automotive:
   - In automotive manufacturing, 304 wire mesh round bars are utilized for exhaust systems, heat exchangers, and other components that require heat and corrosion resistance.
5.Marine Applications:
   - Due to its resistance to saltwater corrosion, 304 stainless steel is used in the construction of marine hardware, like fasteners, boat fittings, and wire mesh for filtration on ships.
6. Medical and Pharmaceutical:

7. Household Applications:
   - From kitchen equipment like sinks, stoves, and refrigerators to decorative fixtures, stainless steel 304 wire mesh and round bars are common in home appliances and furniture.
Conclusion:
Stainless Steel 304 wire mesh round bars offer a balance of strength, corrosion resistance, and ease of fabrication, making them highly versatile across various industries. Their durability in extreme environments, resistance to rust, and hygienic properties make them a preferred material for a wide range of applications. Additionally, the relatively low cost compared to higher grades of stainless steel further supports its widespread use. Overall, the material's adaptability makes it essential for construction, industrial, marine, automotive, food, and medical sectors.
