well. it's 52 days until opening weekend, and *glares in general direction of teams that haven't yet announced 2025 kit*, i thought i'd make this for some off-season fun about last year's switch-out jerseys!
i've only used designs that were actually worn in races (not just podiums/presentations, so UAE's yellow, arkea's Bianchi and alpecin's Poulidor kit have been excluded) and also only designs that were switch-outs for specific races, not a mid-season jersey change
#cycling#tierlist#making this i found out arkea had a special kit for not only the vuelta but also tro bro léon

with nostalgia leraye being released, i thought i’d give an update on the “meta” tier list! iirc it's been about over a month since i’ve last posted about it on here, and it’d be cool to see how things have changed!
i put “meta” in quotes considering really the meta is just light types >>>>> every other type 💀
DISCLAIMERS
everything discussed here is already in the spreadsheet for the most part, i’m just putting it in post form as a little time capsule + wanted to share for those who haven’t seen it yet
the results of this tier list are based off of testing the character in 2 types of stages: high mob stages (e.g. 4-81, 4-78 (if there’s type advantage), 4-79 (if there’s type advantage)) and boss stages (usually from chapter 4)
build recommendations are in the spreadsheet, i won’t go too in-depth about it here
this tier list is NOT a must follow !! this just gives a general perspective of how a character functions in battle based on what we tested
you are free to agree or disagree with points made on this list, this is simply what windy and i have concluded based on tests that we’ve ran. we’re both very open to discussion about adjusting rankings if anyone wants to discuss about it
i will only talk about characters in the sp and s tier aka the best/must haves/characters to default to for teams (in our opinion), as there’s too many characters in the roster to put it all in one post + you can just go to the spreadsheet if you’re curious about a certain character lol
the sp and s tier list
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/149949e17689dc701ac5e56af3fa6b5c/cf794bc43412ae10-44/s540x810/2ab7f77617aac9b284f00a8250f38ad3982ba9db.jpg)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/2a2f755cf40f97ebd2592c104a275559/cf794bc43412ae10-09/s540x810/d2d46f4d6bcb1cd5106ff44cfd0f1ec858f1f74c.jpg)
NOTE THE ORDER EVERYONE’S PLACED IN DOES NOT MATTER HERE IN THESE SCREENSHOTS, I’LL EXPLAIN THE ACTUAL ORDER UNDER THE CUT
"brief" explanations
ult spam = ultimate spam or constantly using ultimate back to back
note:
sig = signature artifact / exclusive artifact
satan (selfie)
MARKSMAN
[ Sp ]
his kit fully focuses on attack speed. meaning, he’s automatically f2p friendly in terms of investment. a lot of s-rank artifacts (thorny choker, headless teddy bear, teacup) would work very well on him.
his attack range is also the longest most marksman can go, giving him an extra boost to fulfill his passive requirement and in-turn, build more attack speed and kill enemies faster
juno
best gehenna support while still managing to be an insane dps as well
he boosts attack, attack speed, and hp for all gehenna characters on-field, + on top of that he doubles attack and attack speed for all gehenna devils after using his ultimate
just like satan, he also doesn’t need extremely high investment, so any attack speed or attack boosting artifacts would work just as well as his sig (idk why you wouldn't use his sig considering you had to get it in order to get him but the alternatives still stand lol)
[ S ]
satan (bath)
same as satan (selfie) but the only small downside is that his attack speed boost (passive) is dependent on his placement
levi (bloodshed)
NEEDS HIGH INVEST FOR HIGH REWARDS
without his sig, he essentially works the same as almost every other levi (i.e. ultimate instakills)
with sig however he now has the ability to instakill with his normal attacks
gabriel
i’m talking about the gabriel obtained from buying the merch bundle
he’s the only s-rank with 3 skills rather than the usual 2 or 1
having the same attack range as a gehenna devil also puts him at a higher advantage
has wide ultimate range that also stuns enemies
minhyeok
if satan (selfie) were an s-rank
since he also borrowed satan’s powers, his attack range matches with satan’s, making him the s-rank with the longest attack range
leraye (nostalgia)
since we get both him and his sig, his kit is the first of the gehenna roster to be focused on ult spam (most gehenna artifacts focus on attack speed)
works very well in high density mob areas considering most of the time he’ll just be instakilling enemies
for boss stages he essentially becomes somewhat like present leraye (the water type ver)
even if you don’t want to use his sig, he still works very well with attack / attack speed artifacts
leraye
his ultimate has damage stack on top of each other, meaning, for 12 hits each hit gets stronger and stronger
f2p friendly investment (just needs attack / attack speed artifacts)
in terms of being an s-rank, leraye is one of if not the strongest s-rank marksman in the entire roster (very lore accurate of him given the recent event talking about a bit of his backstory lol)
levi (selfie)
[ S- ]
applies debuff to enemies on ult
ultimate has ability to instakill
sadly outclassed by levi (bloodshed) with sig
levi (attacker)
good passive as it buffs characters that are near him
basically wants you to ult spam, but the difference between him and leraye (nostalgia) is that levi’s ultimate doesn’t instakill
sadly outclassed by levi (bloodshed) with sig
to be clear these levis are still a good alternative if you don’t have levi (bloodshed) with sig, you can even pair them with bloodshed and still perform relatively well
TANK
as a general note i’ll try to exclude talking about his hp in battle since it’s basically this:
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/c2a67bd4ef874c44cd244adebaf7cae8/cf794bc43412ae10-3f/s540x810/d47e802c26137c8e34a346048eafac6d48ce57c3.jpg)
meaning, the order of mammons with highest to lowest hp in battle are
attacker
butt
bath
selfie
i’ll mostly talk about his kit in the explanations
[ Sp ]
mammon (attacker)
widest normal attack and ultimate range out of all mammons
ult doesn’t stun but his wide range makes up for it
you don’t have to worry about him dying for the most part considering his hp even at passive level 1 (see image at the beginning of this section)
ultimate gives him the ability to heal himself
only needs marbas’ sig (blood transfusion pack) to work at his best
mammon (selfie)
ultimate has the ability to stun enemies
makes everyone behind him (including those in the same row as him) invincible for a few seconds after using his ultimate
only needs marbas’ sig (blood transfusion pack) to work at his best
[ S ]
ultimate has the ability to stun enemies
mammon (butt)
useful as a backup tank considering how much hp he has
only needs marbas’ sig (blood transfusion pack) to work at his best
[ S- ]
mammon (bath)
basically the same as mammon (selfie) but the invincibility is only limited to 1 character rather than multiple
only needs marbas’ sig (blood transfusion pack) to work at his best
CLOSE-RANGERS
[ Sp ]
satan (attacker)
literally satan (selfie) in the form of a close-ranger lol
normal attacks also deal damage over time to enemies
passive is more forgiving than satan (selfie)’s, meaning the requirement is just an enemy dying regardless of whether he kills it or someone else
isn’t dependent on sig. he works just as well with attack / attack speed boosting artifacts
[ S ]
beel (bloodshed)
NEEDS HIGH INVEST FOR HIGH REWARDS
without sig, his healing from attacks (passive + equipped with savage spike) isn’t nearly as forgiving as when he has his sig
with sig, as long as he’s attacking his hp will constantly stay at 100% or close to it, but that doesn’t mean you should use him as a replacement for tanks considering a close-ranger by default is not designed to block enemies which is the whole purpose of a tank
assuming you use his ultimate immediately, you’re essentially put on a 1 minute timer to clear the stage otherwise both his damage and healing output decreases significantly after the ultimate duration is done
andrealphus
wide ultimate range (compared to most s-rank close-rangers) that also stuns enemies
if you have his sig he can also stun enemies in his normal attack
[ S- ]
they’re all s- because their passive cooldown is insanely long and need skill level ups to decrease the cooldown, but otherwise they have pretty good passives that last for a while
ronové
good support for close-rangers since he basically has savage spike embedded in his kit
dantalian
good support for attack speed focused devils (gehenna devils)
phenix
good support for characters that focus on ult spam (satan (attacker), levi (attacker), leraye (nostalgia))
HEALER
[ Sp ]
all mammons equipped with marbas’ sig provide consistently high healing output in a 3x3 area
if you’re wondering where all the actual healers are, they’re ranked lower
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d7db58807576eb0b6feb304b8ded95e0/cf794bc43412ae10-e3/s540x810/c5773e5a81edb090cdba0f0ad0bde5d4575ca71c.jpg)
i’ve calculated all the ways characters could be healed in battle as shown below:
the ranking is purely based off of heals per tick, or how high/low and how consistent the heals are.
while lucifer's instakill ability was considered, we wanted to focus on how he performs as a healer, not as an attacker.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/ac4e32aabdfe77564630222cb98b1118/cf794bc43412ae10-e3/s540x810/d72bf2166d1638b40973394e645106783c07013f.jpg)
for lucifer with sig, his healing is low in terms of consistency, the artifact itself does provide as high of a healing output as blood transfusion pack
the underlying problem is that a healer’s healing is dependent on who they’re healing rather than their own stats, and for the healers who have healing based off of their own stats, it’s based off of their attack, which is by design significantly low compared to other classes and attack boosting artifacts aren’t enough to compensate for it. a healer’s healing should instead revolve around their own hp in order for them to have a decent healing output since healers’ evolves focus on boosting hp stats.
while yes lucifer does technically have a high healing output in his ultimate (assuming you cast it when there’s a huge wave of enemies), he doesn’t heal outside of that unless he has his sig, and while his sig does provide a good healing output, even then at max sig level you only have a 50/50 chance of being healed if he’s able to dodge an attack. while in battle it may not be entirely noticeable, it’s still inconsistent at the end of the day due to his healing being dependent on 1. chance and 2. the character he’s healing. you could argue that he doesn't need to have a healing ability in his skill set outside of his ultimate, but what if there’s scenarios like realm of seraphim where bosses remove the ability to use ultimates, really only gamigin and marbas (assuming you have a bunch of other characters equip marker so that he can use his ultimate immediately) can provide some sort of healing since healing is embedded in passives or a one-time ultimate usage.
given the length of this post you can probably see why i put all of this in a spreadsheet rather than in a post LOL. all screenshots i’ve shown are in the spreadsheet as well, so if you wanna see the behind the scenes calculations, additional notes, builds, team comps, etc, it’s all there.
in comparison, a tank’s (with marbas’ sig) healing output is based off of a character’s hp in a 3x3 area. it’s basically the same healing output as lucifer’s sig but with a more forgiving requirement (i.e. if the wearer gets hit, everyone around them including the wearer gets some sort of heals). as shown earlier, mammon has insanely high hp, and because of that he in-turn will also have a high healing output, making his survivability on-field significantly longer than other classes. this also applies to bimet, valefor, and eligos, i’m just using mammon as an example. assuming he’s in the frontlines the whole time, mammon would heal 6% of a character’s hp every second (or even less than a second if he encounters ranged enemies with fast attacking patterns), making him serve as both a tank and a healer.
if we were to make a healer equip themselves with marbas' sig, let's use lucifer as an example, his survivability wouldn't be nearly as high as mammon's considering a lvl70 lucifer (selfie) only has a bit over 20k hp while mammon (selfie) (mind you, is one of the earliest cards this game offered) has a bit over 50k hp. as a small side note, lucifer's hp is lower than a marksman's, whose average hp ranges at around or a bit over 25k.
the point is that equipping marbas' sig on anyone that isn't a tank isn't going to have the same outcome, as tanks have over 2x the amount of hp as any other class offered.
tl;dr healers should have higher hp scaling (probably as close to a tank's) and have their healing revolve around that rather than the hp of whoever they're healing.
—
you can probably also notice that the ones placed in sp are ones that aren’t heavily dependent on their sig. aside from a character’s kit, we also like to consider how much investment needs to be put in for a character to be at their best. not everyone as the ability to get an L-rank character and their respective sig, so being able to perform well without it plays a big factor in our rankings.
anyways if you made it this far, hope it was an interesting read, have a cookie 🫴🍪

Notes:
- If a reflection is not on this image, it is SR or Defensive. These are generally not worth your time because there are better SSR and UR reflections for the same amount of effort
- Any reflections in the same tier are the SAME, no matter if their skills or rows or anything else are different
- A same rarity tier difference (e.g., SSR-B and SSR-A) is worth about 1 awakening OR 1-2 CoR upgrades
- A cross rarity tier difference (e.g., SSR-A and UR-C) is worth about 1 awakening AND 2-3 CoR upgrades
- FOR THE S-TIER, the reflections are ranked on a separate sheet. A UR-A reflection is equivalent to a (theoretical) UR-S50 reflection. A difference of 10 (e.g., UR-S50 and UR-S60) is worth about 1 awakening OR 1 CoR upgrade
- Nikki - Guides of Stars is listed as a special UR•SP rarity reflection, however for scoring purposes, this rarity is the same as any regular UR.
This is the guide posted by cyrafen on the official Shining Nikki discord, alongside her notes! There's more in depth resources over on the official Shining Nikki discord, so if u really wanna optimize ur build, i recommend joining and lookin at em.
#shining nikki#i remember makin a (terrible) post of the reflection tier list ages ago#it s got plenty of updates by now#so here s a better rendition#i dont remember seeing this posted over here on tumblr so#if it has been. im sorry

I've updated my (personal) Warframe tier list after revisiting several of my builds, some of which were YEARS old and needed changing. It resulted in me having to make an entirely new tier to make things more organized. More thoughts below.
Khora rocketing up to 'mains' was entirely because I finally got off my ass and finished my stat stick for her, which has immediately made everything about her kit click into place. Same for Gara, though I've yet to play her more.
Equinox and Koumei I had originally written off for higher end content due to how frail they were but I've since made them SP viable and I'm having a blast - especially Koumei as I am for the first time experiencing the fullness of shieldgating with my revised build.
It was while puzzling out my revised build for Koumei that I realized I have been slacking hardcore in regards to my melee arsenal. Since a sizable chunk of Koumei's decrees roll for melee enhancements (due to them being the same as Duviri's, and therefore are melee-focused for Drifter's sake) as well as her entire kit being very favorable for Condition Overload-focused builds, it's led me to finally tackle my long-neglected collection of melee weapons as well as build several new ones. I now have much more variety to choose from than I did before, and have also gone out of my way to pick up the Galvanized melee mods I was missing to further enhance future melee weapons I grab. Past are the days of me just equipping the same 3 weapons and calling it a day. Now I have a selection of fun shit to choose from.
What's mostly influenced the way I've ranked the Warframes though is the fact that I am a guns-focused player, so I prefer it when Warframes either enhance the weapons I run with or have strong support utility either for myself running solo or for team play. But it is also down to my own nitpicking preferences, admittedly, since a lot of the Warframes that do have that capability I've ranked lower.
Like Armor Strip is something that would insanely benefit my arsenal, but the only Warframe in my mains list that can do it is Protea but only with a specific augment. I do run corrosive on a lot of my weapons though ever since the elemental rework, so that usually does armor strip for me, especially when I'm running with Saryn; who I've been maining since I started playing the game and my friend bought her for me and eventually got me her Prime parts once I had progressed far enough to build her. I have fallen back into playing Protea more though, so I've been getting plenty of use out of both of her Temporal Anchor augments as they're super fun to mess around with.
As for the rest of my mains it is an even balance between casting heavy 'frames and ones with strong utility. Sevagoth specifically has rocketed up to my most used since Tennokai was added, as those mods have made his Shadow hilariously overpowered. He is one that is an outlier in terms of kit, but Tennokai is a big part of why I've grown to love him so much. That and finally figuring out the kinks with my build for him, shadow & its claws which let me get fully comfortable with playing both.
Cyte-09 also proved INCREDIBLY engaging and satisfying to play from the jump, and has rocketed up to being a main since I got lucky with getting Target Acquired from the Circuit. Harrow, Mirage, Equinox and Volt meanwhile have been mainstays in my arsenal for literal years now, with Harrow specifically being one of my first mains long before he got his Prime. I've since gone back and updated all their builds - not just Equinox's - as things have changed a lot since I first started playing.
Wisp and Protea are self explanatory on the utility front, Wisp for how powerful of a support she is and Protea because her kit is so insanely satisfying and scales well. Plus both of her augments for Temporal Anchor as I said before are fun as hell and satisfying to use.
Overall I do always pick up every Warframe because I genuinely enjoy branching out and experimenting, so I'm excited to see what kinds of concepts they come up with in the future and will likely update the tierlist yet again once they're added and further changes/reworks happen. If anyone is curious about how I build my mains, my DMs are open!

Entry 2: Market Research
12/26/24 (Backdated)
I’ve begun more detailed market research today: namely, creating an actual spreadsheet to log what I find in terms of titles in genres similar to mine, their pagecounts, list prices, etc. It will take more than today to gain an understanding of the broader picture and the way forward, but some initial impressions:
One’s own understanding of genre has become incredibly subjective. Be prepared to have to wade through a lot of things that aren’t relevant to you, even when you think you’re looking in a genre that fits perfectly. For example, I struggled with the ‘dark fantasy’ tag because it has become nigh hopelessly entwined with ‘romantasy’ or just romance generally. Similarly, look up books you’re familiar with, even if they don’t match your own, to see if your current impressions align with how they fall in the current market.
You will have to trawl, because from what I can tell there’s not much way to apply multiple genre filters on either Amazon or GoodReads. You can, however, sometimes take shortcuts if you find a single book or author that matches closely, and then look at the ‘also enjoyed’ or ‘frequently purchased with’ carousels.
Include access dates and list prices – what’s up there today may change in a week or even tomorrow. It’s also a good idea to take the opportunity, if you can, to note whether a title is traditionally published or self-published, because that’s important context for the pricing.
If you haven’t already done cover research, this is also a good opportunity to soak in what the genre looks like in terms of design. GoodReads is helpful in that you can also see former editions and perhaps glean when changes were made, and why – i.e., learn from their ‘mistakes’.
Be conscious of algorithms. Try to get a sample from mid-tier sales and lower, not just bestsellers, for a more realistic overview.
+++++ Baroness' Self-Publication Journal Masterpost I'm journaling what I uncover as I do more research for self-publication of my novel! I'll be using the tag "#sp journal". All of this will eventually wind up as part of a larger, more detailed guide I'm making notes for.

I've talked in the past about launching a Patreon and that's something I'm working towards. One of the tier perks would be access to interactive TTRPG games with characters from Zorlok (and beyond...). So, I wanted to get an idea of what campaigns people are interested in (but, in the future, these polls would be reserved for specific Patreon tiers). The top two will have at least one episode each—meaning one in-game session—available on Patreon when it launches. Here are options for the first round. If you have any ideas or suggestions, feel free to send those in. Under the cut you can find more info on the concept, each idea, and a list of characters I'm thinking of as potential players for each campaign (there will be another poll to determine the casts once the first round of voting closes).
Note: you will be able to vote for your second choice in a separate post.
More details on the above options:
The Idea
Many people spend their nights at the Casper Guild Hall. From locals enjoying the atmosphere and amenities to travelers looking for a bit of fun, everyone is welcome within the guild's warm, wood-paneled halls. You first come to this establishment to learn more about the open TTRPG campaigns run by the guild's founder, Fallyn Hart. All are welcome to join in, so what games will you play?
The campaigns are presented as branching narratives within a unique interactive fiction game. This game is non-canonical and set before the events of Zorlok. Create your character and the PCs they play as. Enjoy compelling tales with high variability and replay value. Play alongside a fun cast of characters and interact with them both in and out of your campaign sessions, learning more about them and building meaningful relationships.
The Campaigns
The character lists indicate which story the character is from and if they would be an RO option in the campaign. If the character has a post where you can learn more about them, that will be linked the first time they appear on this page.
Z = from Zorlok, M = from Mousetrap, HK = from Hades' Kitchen, CG = from Creating Goncharov, SP = from System Processing; if RO is included after, there would be optional sexual/romantic/both relationship options for that character
Keep in mind, these are potential lists (they're just the characters that would likely appear in the next poll where the top 3-5 would be chosen).
(1) sexy, regency-ish fey court
If you're familiar with A Court of Fey and Flowers: yes, basically that. If not: political intrigue where you play as a representative of a fey court hanging out with other fey at a magic festival. Optionally, very sexy and/or romantic. Always, very fun and chaotic. [ choose your fey court and your position ]
Potential RO characters: Dev (Z, RO), Celestial (Z, RO), Danny (Z, RO), Ciel (Z, RO), Rose (Z, RO), Adam/Eve (Z, RO), EJ (Z, RO), Nasir (Z, RO), Andrey (CG, RO), Katya (CG, RO), Adonis (HK, RO), Cecil (HK, RO), Alaric/Aria (M, RO), Jovy (M, RO), etc.
(2) murder mystery at a monster university
Students at a university (for monsters) find themselves trying to solve a murder—some hoping to get justice for the victims, some hoping to clear their own names, some hoping to come face to face with a murderer. Who knows? Maybe the killer is closer than you think. [ choose your monster and your major ]
Potential characters: Adam/Eve (Z, RO), EJ (Z, RO), Danny (Z, RO), Ciel (Z, RO), Rose (Z, RO), Lucía (Z, RO), Max (M, RO), Emerson (M, RO), etc.
(3) apocalyptic "zombie" survival story
Set in the recent past, explore a world where an infection is turning people into something... else—sapping away their senses of self and grasps upon reality until they become violent, undying strangers. A blend of thrilling horror and emotional drama. Will you find conflict, friendship, family, love, or passion in a world that's falling apart at the seams? Or will you lose yourself to the infection? (part The Last of Us, part Tokyo Ghoul) [ choose your background and your talent ]
Potential characters: Tommy (Z), Ciel (Z, RO), Danny (Z, RO), Lucía (Z, RO), Adam/Eve (Z, RO), Dev (Z, RO), Ainsley (Z, RO), Nasir (Z, RO), Harlow (Z), Laðə (SP), Hero (HK, RO), K Ishida (HK, RO), Rose (Z, RO), Max (M, RO), etc.
(4) cyberpunk fairy tale misfits
Play as a character from a classic fairy tale reimagined in a cyberpunk dystopia. Work to take down an organization bent on keeping you and your peers in line, preventing you from straying anywhere off the path of your "happily ever after." [ choose your fairy tale character and your job ]
Potential characters: Ciel (Z, RO), Dev (Z, RO), Jovy (M, RO), Cecil (HK, RO), Celestial (Z, RO), Danny (Z, RO), Sofia (CG, RO), Ice Pick Joe (CG), Alaric/Aria (M, RO), etc.
(5) magical, gothic spaghetti western
Pages from old spaghetti westerns and penny dreadfuls are shuffled together and you're unlucky enough to exist within the resulting story. Try to survive a uniquely hostile and unforgiving environment that evolves with the turn of every page. Who are you? What are you becoming? And how will your tale end? (if it ever does) [ choose your ancestry and your power ]
Potential characters: Lucía (Z, RO), Ciel (Z, RO), Adam/Eve (Z, RO), Goncharov (CG, RO), Ice Pick Joe (CG), Max (M, RO), Harlow (Z), etc.
(6) spaceship horror story
You and your crew have just finished your terrestrial mission to a distant exoplanet and are finally on your way home when things begin to go awry. Your ship seems to have a new tenant, but what does this stowaway want and what will it destroy to get it? [ choose your species and your job ]
Potential characters: EJ (Z), Lucía (Z), Ciel (Z), Danny (Z), Rose (Z), Tommy (Z), Clara (Z), Jin (Z), Nasir (Z), Harlow (Z), Hero (HK), Jovy (M), Emerson (M), Ov (SP), etc.

Arknights Beginner Recommendation Tierlist
Based on how I would advise a new player to build six stars
The general idea of this list is to rank ops based on how useful they are to a new player and how worth is it to invest in them.
Disclaimer: I am not an expert in any way, shape, or form. My only niche is a level cap that prevents me from accessing modules and I based half of these rankings on Youtube vids and Internet discussions.
Starting from the bottom,
D tier is where all the sad ops who got powercrept go. They're only serviceable in the sense that they can do the things you expect of their branch (like Hoshi blocking three and tanking) but not much else. Some of them get good modules but not so good that they distinguish themselves, that leads us into
D+ tier where modules make them good enough to distinguish themselves. Ch'en is probably the most contentious as I have no idea if her module makes her worth building or not. The casters though usually get power boosts or SP support that makes them bearable but that's not what a new player should be hearing and so into D+ they go.
X tier, where X is the amount of brain power you have. These ops require a whole new level of strategizing that is not indicative of normal gameplay. Magallan and Dorothy are the prime examples with their summons and traps. Aak and Stainless are support units so they need planning to use well. I put Weedy in here since push strats are not normal and using her outside of being a Pusher requires planning and careful use of her summon to achieve greatness.
A tier and B tier are the nebulous group of 6 stars that are good in their own right but not game-breaking. What separates A and B tier for me is the role of damage dealer and practical uniqueness. Damage dealers like Exusiai and Ceobe are more reasonable asks for new players since their power is straightforward. Artillerymen (AoE Snipers), Vanguards, and Healing units are not as direct in their ability to destroy enemies so their roles are less needed but they all have abilities that can be useful if you want them. The biggest question here are the Juggernaut Defenders, Penance and Mudrock. I think their strength warrants them being in the A tier but the complications of unhealable units may drop them a tier.
The S tiers are the biggest names and best choices for building a six-star that I can think of. They have great power, can easily deal with the game's nonsense, and are easy to use.
What separates S tier and S- tier are upgrades past E2. A major assumption people online make is that you have the resources to build ops to E2 when their best skills are available. Any units who NEEDS E2 or Modules to be as broken as people say are in S-. Contrast that with units in S which I believe are useful even before E2 whether that's due to good skills or useful talents. Basically, I put a unit in S only if they can put in work before the E2 promotion.
And that's my tierlist. The CN only ops are even less sure than the EN ones but I felt sorta confident in those answers. Feel free to drop any suggestions, questions, or angry responses because I know this isn't perfect. And thank you for reading.

Another request from @books-are-my-life-stuff, for Lodge units. This is a fairly subjective list, based on how well these units perform, and whether or not they're strictly worth the acquisition and investment. Please note that all of my Lodge units, barring one who will be named on appearance, are 5* 3/5. So this is a review of performance at what is, essentially, their best. With that, let's get talking.
A quick note before the breakdown though. Almost every single one of these units excels in only one format. Either they're way better in CS than Gauntlet, or way better in Gauntlet than CS. Almost no one is good in both. Based on that, the following scale has been determined for ranking purposes:
S: Extremely valuable traits that can make them defining in one meta, while maintaining a decent presence in the other.
A: Valuable traits that can make them dominant in one meta, but may have significant difficulty in the other without support.
B: Valuable traits that make them decent picks in one format, but may significantly struggle in the other regardless of support.
C: Traits have value, but are rarely significant choices so much as filler options.
D: Performance across both metas is limited without significant support. Performance often falls short of expectations.
F: Performance across both metas is actively poor, with other common options significantly outclassing them.
S TIER
Dawn - Lodge Dawn is absolutely ridiculous as a unit. Vigilance on grid. Team Sharp Entry. Natural Remedy as a passive to blank an instance of status. Buffs Def/Sp Def/Speed on trainer move, and special attack separately. Has Gradual Healing. Moves lower special attack of the foe, and can heal with Giga Drain. Dawn, as an F2P unit, is hilariously powerful. Built-in Vigilance in particular is ridiculous for her, because normally you'd go Status Immunity, right? But rarely do stages apply status more than once, so don't need that. What about Interference Immunity? The only one of those that's scary is Trap, and she has Escape Artist on grid. And Healthy Healing is natural tool. Dawn is an F2P unit that can freely run a random lucky skill. Need a Head Start 1 bot for your fast-ramping comps? Lodge Dawn has it covered. Need someone to debuff special defense? Mind Games 2. Her utility is wildly successful, and she's unparalleled as a Gauntlet support. But. CS is understandably worse. Not that she's bad, but the usual lower stats and lack of Endure can significantly threaten her. Like it does all the supports. But very little out of Lodge works as well as Dawn, and holds such flexibility.
Morty - Morty has been downright exceptional. Finally, even if it is a six-turn mess, we have an F2P unit who can cap special attack and crit. Better still, Morty's trainer move provides evasion for survival, and team speed for gauge control. Full Heal is an odd choice, but it's particularly useful, blanking things like Tornadus' Toxic if you don't pack Antitoxin from grid, or helping recover off Cresselia's Thunder Wave. Gastly even boosts its own stats with Ominous Wind, which can be hilarious with good rolls. Where Morty fails is...RNG. Evasion is a powerful defensive tool, but only when it works. If you don't dodge, Morty's defenses are not good enough to take repeated hits, and he has no significant healing potential. And of course, no Endurance, which means he's much better at Gauntlet than CS. OR IS HE? Because evasion play as a defensive tool is how BP Janine works, and she's been capable of holding up plenty of teams, based on similar buffing proficiency to Morty here. She's a little more cohesive for special attackers, but Morty can actually cap crit, which is a massive niche. This dude is nothing short of S-tier.
A TIER
Blue - Blue has this odd issue of separating the attack buff from the crit buff. He can cap both, but they're separate moves, so it takes forever. So he's exactly like Maylene. Only, where Maylene has Rock Smash, Blue has Stomp with Aggravation. 60% flinch gets a lot more mileage than -1 defense drop. Interestingly, Blue also gets way more passive healing than Maylene, and even gets Pep Rally on trainer move like her. So he's a far better survival unit that...still has some stat trouble for CS and no Endure, and lopsided defensive ability like Cynthia but physical instead of special. The main thing that's in Maylene's favor is she has Precision Pals. But in all other regards, I feel like Blue has her beat.
Elesa - Doom Spider. Elesa buffs crit and accuracy at the same time, and has special defense separate. Would've been nice to get crit/sp def, but oh well. She's Cynthia, allocated differently. But unlike Cynthia, Elesa got good attacks and Endurance. Elesa's Electroweb actually does help Cakewalk in CS, and Leech Life is fantastic for Gauntlet, though it...often fails to recover much. Elesa definitely shines more in Gauntlet, but Endure means she can accomplish her goals in CS as well, having quite a few options to choose from when it comes to her focus. But, as always, stats are a problem. Even with Endurance, she can drop early, and it...causes some problems. The lack of serious recovery also means Gauntlet stages wear her down, so while she’s good, she’s not exactly exceptional.
B TIER
Cynthia - I love Cynthia, but this is not her best work. Max crit buffing in two turns is nice, and the combination of special defense and accuracy is...unique, being able to answer Latias very effectively, and Cresselia maybe. The problem is, defensively she's wildly lopsided, unable to take physical hits well. Her healing is good, but stats aren't ideal, and there's no Endure to fall back on (Safety Tether is bad without EX). And her moves are atrocious. Had she gotten Mud Slap and Bulldoze, this would be a wildly different discussion. But instead she got...Rock Tomb and Earthquake. So she does very little to facilitate Cakewalk in CS, and has a useless 3-bar spam. Delightful. Group Water Guard is also strange, because it rarely comes up. I guess it helps block Surf from the Latis? The ultimate point is that Cynthia has nice tools for some Gauntlet stages, but is woefully lacking in several key aspects to be top tier.
Serena - I once had Serena a lot higher. She can solo Tapu Bulu, after all. And has two different debuffs to apply. Gradual Healing and evasion too. Even a natural 30% flinch rate on all her attacks. Serena’s got incredible tools, she must be amazing in Gauntlet! Haha...ha...Hmm. See. She’s still really challenged by Latias. Her flinch is inconsistent, her debuffs too slow in 3v3 contexts, she has no DPS, and honestly? Her sync is good, but Kahili can match or exceed it. In fact, considering 3v3 contexts, Kahili is far above Serena for damage output. And Serena’s debuffs being Atk/Spd is...limited. Attack is fine in some contexts, but useless in others, while speed is universally useless as a single-target -1. Kahili, even with a 50/50 shot, is more useful with Defense Crush. I will say Serena can perform some really impressive feats at times. But I’ve also seen her struggle so bad she couldn’t take out the sides in Johto Flying-weak stage on sync when all debuffs were targeted toward the side, including Nanu debuffs. Meanwhile Kahili just obliterated them. I’m sorry, this is a Kahili Appreciation Blog now.
Raihan - Raihan is the only one I have 1/5 due to 4* Support Candy being rarer than gold, so forgive me if this feels inaccurate, but having looked at his kit there's a reason he's the last winner for supports. Raihan's good is buffing both offenses, a widely useful tool that makes him non-specific. Most people want a specific support, and Raihan ain't it. He's giving whichever offensive stat you need, and in the rare situation you need both, hope you don't need crit. He also has Endurance, which is wildly significant for CS stages, allowing you to take heavier hits and reach your goal with more certainty than those without. What bothers me about Raihan, is that all Lodge supports kinda suck in CS regardless because low stats, so he doesn't do any better despite Endurance. And in Gauntlet, all he gets is Gradual Healing. There is no other healing in his kit. And only at 3/5 does he gain a 50% chance of boosting special defense by 1 stage, off Smack Down. It's really slow. To make matters worse, he's Sandstorm. Two of his passives are all about Sandstorm, but he only sets it on entry, so it cannot last until first sync. He just...can't do anything in that time, and if you want to run his Sandstorm specific traits, you need a very specialized and dedicated team. But. He did carry C!Serena to a duo clear against Latias, so B-tier it is.
C TIER
Lillie - Lillie is a utility bot. Wrap, debuffing attack each hit, and Satisfied Snarl 4 to potentially debuff special attack. Dazzling Gleam makes those debuffs AoE. And if you're keeping track, you know where this is going. Lillie can have decent damage, especially on-type, but it is wildly contingent on support. She's slow to debuff, slow to self-buff and still reliant on crit support, and then still often fails the damage checks. I once brought in Lucian and SC Jasmine to support her, and still, STILL she failed to OHKO center on sync with SEUN. Lillie's damage is sad, but her utility in Gauntlet is...okay. Debuffing offenses can keep you alive, at least. And her sync can ramp up to respectable levels. It’s not exceptional but she has use.
Marnie - I feel bad ranking Marnie this low, because she is good Poison-type damage. But Marnie's also kinda hard to use. Accuracy debuffs are really hard to acquire, especially in CS, but that's the crux of her sync. Her ability to Poison is also split AoE, so she seriously struggles with CS. But...I've also cleared stuff with her. And frankly, cleared with low-cost tools like BP Janine. So why only C-tier? Because Koga. Koga's sync nuke is super strong, still strongest in the type, and he has Mind Games 9. Marnie, I feel, does not come close to competing with that, even with Sludge Wave as technically higher DPS when single-target. What keeps Marnie above D-tier is realistically the fact she has Mud Slap, which is useful in Gauntlet contexts.
Gloria - Gloria’s damage output is ultimately fine, but it’s not doing a whole lot. The recoil, while fairly limited by Standfast 9, can still add up in Gauntlet contexts, similar to BP Sophocles, leading to some unfortunate situations where she isn’t sustaining well enough. Gauges were also an intermittent issue, depending on team composition. I think the biggest mark against Gloria I can make is that her teammates felt like they were doing more. Molayne pulled more weight in Regirock, and Marshal carried Tapu Bulu and Entei more effectively. She’s an alright supplementary DPS, I guess is what I’m trying to say.
Sycamore - Sycamore's not terrible, but has stiff competition with Gardenia. The good is, he's not completely reliant on special attack buffs like she is, isn't reliant on Sun, and has natural immunity to stat debuffs. The bad news is, his DPS is lower, his multipliers harder to achieve, he stills needs 1 point of crit, and his sync nuke requires Poison which means Sludge Bomb which means taking away from DPS. I have used Sycamore to beat a CS stage. But getting him to work in Gauntlet was mostly as secondary DPS in a team comp that could handle gauges well enough. He really can't do main DPS. He couldn't significantly threaten Regirock's early phases.
N - Okay let me be frank. N is consistently used, but only as a sleep bot. And I initially thought hey, maybe that should rank higher? But the more I think about it...no. It shouldn't. Because for most, you're just aiming for a 10-win clear in Gauntlet, right? Sleep in CS sucks ass, this is a fairly Gauntlet-specific skill. Not even all Gauntlet stages, just some of them. And at 10 wins, you may need, at most, four. Ramos, Agatha, Tech Victreebel, Tech Venusaur, Tech Exeggutor. That's five right there. N is the sixth. Not, to N's credit, he's more valuable than Victreebel, who cannot cap accuracy. N's Pinpoint Entry and accuracy tiles do get to a flat 100. And he's arguably better off than Ramos, Venusaur, and Exeggutor, because he only needs 1MP to hit +4 speed, while they need two. Agatha would still beat him, though. The end question is, why is N necessary? This is perhaps unfair, but you need to pull a PokeFair for this, and his utility is just sleep. His base special attack stat isn't strictly bad, but being a Tech nuker with only 80% bonus damage for on-type and sleep? That's a nightmare. And DPS is just Psychic with a 50/50 debuff to special defense; Shauntal outperforms this dude. N just doesn't have anything beyond sleep, which is useful, but...come on.
D TIER
Rosa - I say this as someone who likes Rosa and Dewott a lot: they are not great. I'm sorry, this isn't something I feel can be argued. Gauges are constantly an issue, damage output is surprisingly poor unless you're knocking yourself to critical HP, utility is either -1 defense per hit or a 50/50 at a -1 debuff to a random stat only on Aqua Jet which only has a 40% chance to refresh an MP. She takes three turns of setup and can't cap her physical attack. Rosa's kind of a mess. I like using her, but I cannot in good conscience call her good. A lot of matches where she has theoretical utility in Gauntlet don't work out, and she downright struggles without serious support in CS. Her debuffs are just too slow to get damage moving without a proper Leer/Screech bot and someone to handle buffing beyond crit. It’s just a lot more work than you want.
Silver - If Rosa's bad, Silver's bad, because they are the same person. Silver's damage is a little more accessible due to not needing to cause himself to bleed out, but Silver has the same gauge issues, the same limited DPS, the same limited utility, and most distressing, poor self-setup. +4 atk, +2 speed, +1 crit is a nightmare, I'm sorry. Unlike Sycamore, he can't get Team Sharp Entry and call it a day. He basically needs full buffing support. The only thing that puts him above Rosa, and it is not by much, is Aggravation Waterfall, and Hostile Environment 3 Ice Punch. Silver has disruptive effects, but only at a 40% rate each. Which you would think put him above her! But these traits are awful. You ever tried to rely on a 40% flinch rate for a Gauntlet stage? It does not work. And the only time you’d want that much Freeze stacking on your damage dealer whose focus is Water, is when he’s supporting a team with it. Which, usually, means Uxie and Cobalion, given the status. Do not fall for this. Freeze is so painfully useless in these fights. Sure you can use it to stall, but it’s the same as flinch just it’s freeze instead, and it’s still the inconsistent 40%. Eggmons have better disruptive ability than this, and usually with two uses of X Speed, so their gauges are better. God, I’m comparing him to an eggmon. I wish I could say he was a powerhouse sync nuker but...he’s not. It’s okay. Not really that good, even.
F TIER
May - I once called May the worst Lodge unit, because Water Striker and who needs those? This remains true. However, May's kit is...not terrible with one caveat. While on-type, I have seen May perform some pretty impressive feats. Her damage gets pretty respectable. Off-type? May is a mess. She struggles wildly to apply anything close to good damage, and CS is a nightmare for her. Yes, even on-type is rough. I overall kinda like May, but I do still think she’s one of the least impressive options here. Also, as a general issue with her and the D-tiers. For primarily damage-focused units. Cyrus exists. Hydro Pump wildly outclasses them, with far less setup, far less support, and way better gauge control. So why in god’s name would I ever use May, knowing that Cyrus just wildly outperforms her?

Subeta January Log
Battling:
Valechka, T12 | To Next Tier: 15,524 > 16,434/22,001
Estelle, T8 | To Next Tier: 5,016 > 5,090/5,400
Serah, T8 | To Next Tier: 4,533 > 4,650/5,400
Snow, T7 | To Next Tier: 3,834 > 3,948/4,400
1/1: Farmed Ptero, Tide, Tobias, Vulty, Zuzu, Anne, Canaak, and Dust Bunny.
All the extra Mage tomes and amulets have been nice for getting Valechka closer to T13. I should have her hit the next tier by the end of the year.
1/13: Decided to put Valechka into the inn. One of the downsides of having your BP as your Gourmet is not being able to battle, because you need to feed them first. My interest on Subeta has been waning, so pulling back and just focusing on doing the bare minimum right now.
1/13: Finally cracked the 5ks for Valechka. Feels so good knowing I’m (technically 6k, but rounding down) 5k points away from going up to the next tier for her. 🎉
–
Pet Progress:
1/1: Adopted Wing from the pound. My 44th pet. Not sure of color/species yet. I'm considering changing them into a Reborn Serpenth. But I don't know what color I'd make Nugua though. Maybe Marsh?
1/1: Started farming Mystic Spindles again. My goal is to do 1-5 rounds everyday. I have three pets to build up, so I can’t put it off anymore.
1/1: Started drawing new art for Valechka. I finished the line art and laid down some colors… but it does not look great. I’m going to have to study the #3877 items and official art to try to recreate its pattern. Gotta remind myself not to get impatient.
1/2: Read all the cheap books to Vladislav (477).
1/2: Tweaked my general pet goals. Apparently, I planned to build 10 battle pets. Haha. As if. I’m going to start trimming down my spotlight list too. I need to be honest with myself: I am not going to go for PS for all my Serpenths.
1/4: Colt, Serah, and Snow reached the top promotion of the Astronaut career.
1/5: Fed 7,000 total foods to Valechka!
1/8: Fed everything in the 2021 Libertine Lounge tab to Valechka.
1/11: Fed everything in the 2022 Libertine Lounge tab to Valechka. Turns out I had almost every row already fed to her. I guess I was working backwards at one point.
1/12: Started a spreadsheet to plan out the entire gen. 6 National Pokedex for Meganium’s TC. I feel like this task is very grand and painful to try to accomplish, but I will do it.
1/20: Started playing Subeta Tiles. I need the Serpenth and Legeicas tiles for TCs. It’s a pretty fun mini-game. I don’t know if I’ll be saying the same thing a month from now.
1/23: Bought my 45th pet slot! It was my 200 mil. slot from the Millionaire Center, so now the price has reset. I'm going to buy the 20 mil. slot tomorrow. I have no idea why the Millionaire Center has a timer.
1/27: Changed Wing into a Reborn Serpenth. Changed Wing's gender to female. Changed Nugua into a Marsh Serpenth. Bought my 46th pet slot.
1/28: Boosted Moonflower's int. to 670. Quit her current job and made her join the SubQ career. I was five books away from hitting the final promotion req. for... the last year, so I could've done this sooner and also started the SubQ job sooner. Whoops.
1/31: Adopted Vaim from the pound! May make into my Galactic Kora. Update: Well, I tried. Then I quit the quest and apparently you have to wait 30 days to make the same pet Galactic again. :( I click faster than I read. Shit.
Started a Kora Kollection section (name pending) on my profile, now that I own three Koras! :D
Changed Snakey's name to Feather. It better matches Wing's name.
–
Event Progress:
1/1: New Year Tokens are back... Going to try and actually do all my quests + finish farming BC opponents. All that refreshing should earn me a bunch of tokens, right? Update: Wrong.
1/4: Read all the New Year shop books from the 2015-23 tabs to Estelle, Serah, and Snow.
1/6: Okay, time to stop doing all of my quests. I kept it up for a good five days though!
–
Shops:
Lenora's Garage | Lifetime sP Made: 1,277,412,714 > 1,426,639,844
Lenora's Garage | Lifetime Items Sold: 39,819 > 43,189
Unicorn Mart | Lifetime sP Made: 179,312,733 > 203,471,433
Unicorn Mart | Lifetime Items Sold: 17,573 > 20,102
1/7: Restocked 500 unique items for Lenora's Garage. Highest I ever got was 800. I'm hoping to get it to 700 and float between 600-700. I slacked during the last few weeks of December.
1/21: Restocked 700 unique items for Lenora's Garage! Don’t think I’ll be able to keep it over 700, but one day.
–
Other:
Recycle Beast Points: 1,670 > 1,904
I really slacked on RB points... Honestly, with Keith trying to condense the number of currencies we have, I hope RB points are next on the chopping block. I kind of doubt they actually incentivize people to "recycle" cheap items. I know I just restock existing items from main shops, because that's the cheapest way. Also, it's just a LOT of clicking.
Discount Card: 16,639,458 > 20,226,382 sP Saved
1/1: I earned the Big Spender achievement buying my 44th pet slot (180 mil.) I didn't realize I was so close to spending a billion at the MC.
1/2: I got a Dusk Scootle Plushie from quests today. I bought one last month for Serah’s treasure. I knew I should’ve waited!
1/2: I don’t normally post my Mallarchy Pond wins, but I got two books today! And one was a WL item for Valechka. Nice.
1/10: I got an Ornate Floral Pitcher from a random Minions event!
1/14: The new Kumos quests are amazing. I’ve been doing them the last few days than regular quests LOL. Not sure if Keith will tweak the final payout. RN, the payout is very low. That said, I’m really excited for Kumos just for the QOL updates alone.
1/18-19: I was able to snag two of the new book, the Spectrum Kumos food item, and the egg (literally the last one) from the TS restock! Valechka is in the resort, so I’ll need to wait to feed her. I have a nice little stash of food for her.
1/31: I won two auctions. Outburst of the Soul Album for 500k and RoQ Candy Contrast Short Shorts for 750k. It's neat that auctions have returned to Subeta, though I don't know how often I'll use it or how many other people will use it once the novelty wears off. I'll try to use it for more expensive items I want to quick sell.
It's funny... the same items I listed for 50% off in trades will sit for weeks. Meanwhile, when I listed them for 50% off as auctions, they get bids the same day. I think trades needs a similar refresh, so sellers can list items for a Buy it Now price and buyers can sort by price. It might be redundant with shops, but sellers can avoid mass devaluing other shops this way + buyers can more easily find one-off deals.
Honestly, given how little traction Advertising threads get – not to mention all the back-and-forth – it might be better if trades became the main market.
