NOTA COBR | Sobre os projetos “The Sync Report”
🚨 THIS POST CONTAINS AN ENGLISH TRANSLATION AT THE END.
E estamos em nosso direito em nos posicionar assim, como foi dito pelo próprio canal do projeto: “Everyone should be free to make up their own minds without fearing judgement or persecution.”
— CHECK THE ENGLISH VERSION HERE:
Considering the magnitude of this whole The Sync Report project and the endless arguments in the fandom, we felt it was time to reinforce our position in the middle of all this mess.
As fansite, our commitment is to always share news as efficiently and carefully as possible, but we're also human beings with values of our own. For this reason, we've decided that we WON'T cover any projects involving NFT, metaverse, or others “cryptocurrency” stuff.
It doesn't make any sense. It's a pyramid scheme, and one that (thank God!) seems to be declining. It causes harm to the environment. And did we say it doesn't make sense already?! It's simply pointless.
We know that Colin has noble intentions to donate a good part of the proceeds to the Climate Institute (in a failed attempt to reduce environmental damage) and SOSAD Ireland (suicide prevention and awareness), and also use the proceeds for the TSR's future artistic projects... Yes, we know this and have already posted it in our accounts. But we still won't support it.
Not agreeing with something doesn't make any of us less of a fan or mean we “hate” Colin for being a part of it. Being vocal about it doesn't make you disrespectful (as the creator, aka JPR, loves to tell the fans who dared to question him), but it makes you more human and an active political being in the world. And this is admirable.
We're still Colin's fans (of course), we’re just not fans of this choice/project. And, as it was said in the project's video: “Everyone should be free to make up their own minds without fearing judgment or persecution” (listen here), we have every right to take a stand like this. Especially because we're always respectful to everyone.
With that being said, COBR is committed to sharing news only about the PODCAST episodes of The Sync Report, and not the updates about sales, events, lives, or the animated series (which, apparently, will also be in NFT format). About the in-person events: we won't ignore shared photos that show Colin in-person/his face, but we won't cover any of these said events.
We've been online for 9 years, have gone through more than one change in our Team, and we're still here trying to be the best news source possible. However, we also have our boundaries, and we hope you understand and continue to support us.
With love, COBR Team.

I made these a few days ago, and they sold out before I even got around to posting them on here! The only OUAT one that’s still in stock right now is the Outlaw Queen pendant. 25% of proceeds from all my pendants go to SOSAD Ireland!
Im making more Captain Swan, Hook, and anchor pendants, but if you definitely want one and want to be sure to get it, please send me a message on Etsy with what you want, so I can set up a custom order that only you can buy! Other than that, it’ll be first come, first served, and there’ll only be a few available!
I also do custom orders for other symbols, and I offer two different sizes; most of the ones I’m currently making are the smaller size, but I can make you a bigger one if you prefer!

Linkin Park.
“In this farewell
There's no blood, there's no alibi
'Cause I've drawn regret
From the truth of a thousand lies
So let mercy come and wash away
What I've done
I'll face myself to cross out what I've become
Erase myself
And let go of what I've done”
-What I’ve Done
“And I've got nothing to say
I can't believe I didn't fall right down on my face (I was confused)
Looking everywhere only to find that it's not the way I had imagined it all in my mind (so what am I?)
What do I have but negativity?
'Cause I can't justify the way everyone is looking at me (nothing to lose)
Nothing to gain, hollow and alone
And the fault is my own,
And the fault is my own”
-Somewhere I Belong
“I don't want to be the one
The battles always choose
'Cause inside I realize
That I'm the one confused
I don't know what's worth fighting for
Or why I have to scream
I don't know why I instigate
And say what I don't mean
I don't know how I got this way
I'll never be alright
So I'm breaking the habit
I'm breaking the habit tonight”
-Breaking the Habit
“I've put my trust in you
Pushed as far as I can go
For all this
There's only one thing you should know”
-In the End
“I've become so numb, I can't feel you there
Become so tired, so much more aware
By becoming this all I want to do
Is be more like me and be less like you”
-Numb
“Who cares if one more light goes out?
Well I do”
-One More Light
Thank you for reading this if you have. I know that this doesn’t have anything to do with the Moomins but please hear me out. All of these songs were written and composed by one of my favourite bands, Linkin Park. For those that don’t know, Linkin Park is a band that was formed in 1996, with Chester Bennington as their lead singer. The reason why I am posting this is because it has been a year from today when Chester committed suicide. This came as a big shock to me and so many others who loved him. So please, let this be a message to anyone who is having problems, whether it is mental illness, bullying or having any kind of problems and suicide thoughts, please get help. Don’t keep it locked up because it will get worse if you do that. Contact any of these organisations down below:
Samaritans - 116 123 (UK)
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline - Call 1-800-273-8255
International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) - click here for contact details
American Foundation for Suicide Prevention - click here to go to their official website
Campaign Against Living Miserably - contact this number if you live in London 0808 802 58 58 or this number if you live anywhere else in the UK 0800 58 58 58
SOSAD Ireland - click here to go to their website
Thank you again for paying attention to this post. You don’t have to like it or anything because I’m not expecting anyone to do that. But please, if you need any help, please get it because if you do, your life will get better.
Thank you.

Colin Character Anchor [3] Brennan Sullivan
Based on Colin’s character in the movie ‘The Dust Storm’. The design of the anchor was inspired by Brennan’s look at the end of the film when he sings the title song.
All proceeds from this anchor donated to SoSad Ireland, a charity supported by Colin O’Donoghue.

In Lieu of Gifts ...
In case you haven’t heard, Princess Emma Swan of Misthaven got engaged to Captain Killian Jones!
(things may look a little rough at the moment but True Love always wins, right?)
To celebrate this monumental event, the Captain Swan fandom is organizing a charity donation project!
This show and ship have brought hope and inspiration to so many of its fans, so whether it is time or unwanted belongings or money, we can all do the same for others who need that hope in their lives. Even a little can make such a huge difference to a life so we hope we get as many people on board as possible!
There are plenty of worthwhile causes out there, some very close to people's hearts because of their own personal experiences, so this idea it's more about the spirit of giving and bringing hope to people than donating to x or y cause.
At the Vancouver convention, Jen and Colin were told that we wanted to celebrate the musical episode (wink, wink) in a big way by donating to charities that meant a lot to us. They were both absolutely delighted by this idea.
THERE ARE SEVERAL WAYS TO DONATE!
Donate to the charities that Colin and Jen selected (information below)
Donate to a local charity or cause that is important to you
Donate your time!
Donate to a local shelter/food drive/etc!
Donate books! (Here’s a helpful link for that)
Colin chose SOSAD (Save Our Sons and Daughters) as his charity. If you are not already familiar with this charity you can go and check out their webpage.
SOSAD
Their main goals are:
Raise awareness of suicide in Ireland.
Break the taboo surrounding suicide.
Provide support and direction to those feeling suicidal
Provide support and direction to those approached by someone feeling suicidal
Provide support and direction for those bereaved by suicide.
You can donate using the fandom page that we set up!
Jen said that she would love it if the donations would go to the Jacobsen Syndrome research that she had done the Dark Swan tee shirt campaign for.
Grossfeld Lab
The focus of Dr. Grossfeld’s Laboratory is on defining the genetic basis of congenital heart defects, the most common human birth defect.
Dr. Grossfeld’s research has focused on a rare genetic syndrome, Jacobsen syndrome (JS), that is caused by the loss of the end of the long arm of human chromosome 11.
You can donate directly to the organization on their Online Giving page.
(we don’t have a fandom page for this one)
LET US KNOW ABOUT YOUR DONATION!
We want to see what our fandom can do so please go to our submit page and tell us what you donated and what charity you chose (you don’t need to tell us about SOSAD donations as those will be tracked through that page). Since there are many ways to donate that are not monetary, please attach pictures of your charity work!
Make sure you select the option to keep your donation private or post it on the blog! If nothing is checked we will keep the submission private!
We want to continue this project for the rest of Season Six so you can donate anytime between now and May 14th to participate in the project!

Tumblr people! Help a guy out! Alan Hannify has been working on a book all about historic Irish football matches and he's finally been able to release it. I helped him out with the cover, but more importantly, Alan's going to be donating all profits to SOSAD Ireland a mental health charity based around Louth, Meath, Monaghan and Cavan. It's for a very good cause, and Alan has put a lot of work in to this.If you could spread the word, show a friend, or maybe pick up a copy, you will have both mine and Alan's thanks. Copies available at the link below: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08C7GVY1W/ref=nodl_
