genuinely done with this fandom. it sucks. i feel so sorry for the artists in this community. people out here who hate females, ship a father and son, writes r**e and in***t fics that get more notes than art does, and then someone goes on to say that that person is only posting questionable content. the fuck?

make a post and followers just go poof into non-existence. the amount of favouritism of ships/characters, misgendering and biphobia is absurd. (not to mention the occasional racism towards the races of the characters) people send hate to someone who likes an antagonistic character doing antagonistic things? but when you say to them you don't like the character they like they get all 'no pls you're hurting my feelings i love them too much wah wah wah'. post a gaming clip you're really proud of and someone will come along and tell you you suck. why? what's the point? friend posted art of Rampart x Mirage to a discord server and someone just felt the need to just disregard it because 'they don't like the ship' 'they see them as friends'. so fucking what? if you don't like the ship just don't acknowledge the art and move on.

you can make a post of something you've worked really hard on and it'll barely get noticed, but make a shitty dumb post and it'll get notes. people out here acting like the apex tag is a fucking mcdonalds menu.

kudos to the very few blogs that actually call out how sucky this fandom can be.

im not saying the people in this fandom suck (although some do, especially twitter), i constantly interact with awesome people, and i thank those who've been around for a long time and continously like/reblog my posts, it's just the way the community acts as a whole which makes it so frustrating.

i wish i could change to multi-fandom because after reaching nearly 800 notes on my stupid Lady Dimitrescu animal crossing post, it felt so refreshing. im kinda stuck being an apex blog because of my username, and people follow me because im an apex blog, expecting apex content. so i can guarantee people would lose interest super quick if i went multi. im super grateful because I've met and made amazing friends but this fandom is just so frustrating.

don't know how long I'll be inactive, you may see me liking a few posts every now and then because this is where im mostly up to date with the game and lore. i have one more post to go up but its Re8 related.

i know what i said is just gonna make people butt hurt, but it needed to be said.
