Happy Year of the Snake to you all 🐍

It's been a week of thresholds. Last week was Lunar New Year, and there was lots of beautiful snake art to celebrate. The 139th Groundhog Day has been and gone, with Punxsutawney Phil predicting 6 more weeks of winter (though the predictions on our dashboards have been somewhat...gloomier in that respect). Yesterday also brought us the 67th Annual Grammy Awards which many have enjoyed, and Béyonce finally got that award for Cowboy Carter. In other news, Arcane still reigns supreme on the dash, and there are two Robins in the list this week. This is Tumblr's Week in Review.

I didn't put this in the tags of my reblog but I. Want to ramble a bit

Honestly SM shipping is so interesting to me. Maybe it's because the only "big" fandom I was in before was SU (and then I dipped after a few years lmao), so just seeing the entire variety of ships, along with what ships people have latched onto, is really cool -- like I didn't expect anyone to ship Captain with anyone else but Shotty, but then here's Comediclaw!

And even that is super interesting to me given John and Jack are almost exclusively shipped with each other, it's a neat contrast

And then you have the Early Days of the fandom where Lavenderade reigned supreme simply because the "Dad Monster" headcanon was very popular at the time and Lila didn't have many shipping options back then -- it's honestly wild how it's become sort of a rare pair these days when it was so engraved into both fandoms that mods like FNF Minus or Monday Dusk Monolith would casually include it

Oh yeah I’m def including lavenderade cuz it’s so interesting. And also comediclaw.

For the sonic video I saved sonadow for last as it was the “main” ship I found compelling so I think either candybats or smokeydonuts will be last
