"Lie down."

"I don't want to."

"Lie down." You took the banana you were cutting up with intentions of making it into a smoothie, and pointed it at her.

"I don't want to." She repeated, crossing her arms, putting her chin up, challenging you.

"Kim Taeyeon." You called her name, confronting her in the same way.

"Will you throw me that banana?" She questioned, raising her eyebrows "It's the only one left." She reminded.

"Whatever it takes?" She took two steps back, stretching her arms out to hold onto the edges of the archway that led into your kitchen "Well, catch me if you can." She sentenced, using the support on the timbers to generate momentum and turn on her heels, then dashed off.

"I'll do whatever it takes." You affirmed "On the couch." You ordered.

You threw the banana you were holding in your hands in the direction of her small figure that was now running away from you, as if you thought the impact would be hard enough to knock her down.

However, the banana missed.

You paused for a moment to look at the fruit scattered on the ground, thinking that now you would not be able to finish your smoothie, and you would also have to clean up.

After the realization that your olympic toss hadn't helped at all, you ran out the way your girlfriend had fled earlier. You stopped in the hallway to analyze which door she might have entered through.

The bathroom? Why would she go into the bathroom?

The dressing room? Could she have been hiding among the clothes?

The bedroom? Definitely in there.

You carefully open the door and step into the room you share with Taeyeon. Making as little noise as possible while walking, you scanned the place in search of her.

"Taengoo?" You uttered finally as you weren't able to find the girl anywhere.

Silence.

You ran your eyes around the room, scanning it again. Your gaze finally falling on a certain place: the bed. More precisely, under it. You wouldn't want to think she was there, because of how obvious it would have been to hide there, but it was the only place unchecked.

"Love?" you called out to her again.

This time being reciprocated by a bark coming from Zero, who was, effectively, under the bed.

"Zero-yah!" You heard your partner whine, only to have the little puppy subsequently come out of hiding and start jumping at you, asking you to pick him up.

From under the mattress peeked Taeyeon's head, who was watching you, frustrated, with a pout on her lips.

"Get out of there and lie down." You resumed the topic that had caused this whole situation.

"Taeyeon! You have a fever!" You reproached her with an incredulous tone.

"I have to go to work." She explained, expressionless, obvious.

You weren't able to assimilate your girlfriend's behavior. For almost two years now, she hadn't stopped working, as if she didn't already have enough money. You admired her, of course you did. One of the big reasons why you were so in love with her was that vehement passion for what she does. But everything has a limit, and she was exceeding hers.

You could understand if Taeyeon was turning down a whim of yours for her to stay at home with you, but this time, she was sick and still wanted to get into that studio where she spends hours and days.

You had to intervene, of course you had to intervene, for her sake.

"What are you thinking about?" Her voice interrupted your train of thought and you turned your gaze to her head, which, as she hadn't fully come out of hiding yet, was still peeking out from under the place where you both slept.

"Bullshit," she denied as she pulled her body out from under there "you weren't thinking about that, but okay."

"That you're not up yet."

She left the room and started walking around the house. At first you didn't understand what she was doing, but then you could see that Taeyeon was gathering her things

to leave.

"Yah!" You exclaimed as you saw her head for the front door.

After hearing your shout and realizing you had already read the situation, she tried to run as fast as she could towards her freedom, but your legs are longer, so you were in time to catch her by the waist and gently push her back.

"You're worse than a toddler." You scolded her by pointing your finger at her.

"I don't care."

"Love, I'm just fine." She assured, whining.

You walked until you were close to her, then bent down. She looked at you, not getting what you were doing. You put your arm behind her knees, causing her to lose her balance, to which she squealed in surprise, and using that opportunity, you lifted her up and rested her on your shoulder.

It's not that you were a person with a lot of strength. It's just that Taeyeon is practically a plant.

"Hey! This can't be legal. You're holding me against my will!" She kicked, hit your back, and even bit your shoulder, trying to get you to put her down.

Finally, you gently set her down on the bed you share, giving her a kiss on the forehead, opening the sheets so you could cover her with them.

"Yes, I will," you took off your slippers and climbed onto the bed, gluing your body to hers and wrapping her in your arms "you can never resist me."

"You won't buy me with love, you bastard." She said, putting on a voice that sounded like gollum in the Spain dub and turning to the side to turn her back to you.

She turned abruptly to look at you with a judgemental grimace, unable to believe your outburst of self-esteem.

"I'm sorry." You murmured, looking at her sweetly, as if in your eyes you carried tenderness itself.

"You're not lying, but you could be more modest." She advised with a raised eyebrow, and the corners of her lips turned down.

Taeyeon gently held your face in her hands, brushing your cheeks with her fingertips, giving your jaw a support with her palms. She leaned in close enough for your nostrils to nuzzle and then moved her head subtly up and down to extend the gesture. You were in such a trance before her adoration that until she moved her lips, you didn't notice that she was kissing you. You raised your hand, resting it on her chest, and pushed her away.

"You have a fever, don't kiss me!" You shrieked.

"Are you kidding me!?" She replied, frustrated "You won't let me go to work, I'm sick, you chased me and held me against my will, and now I can't even kiss you?" She collapsed between the pillows, covering her face with her hands, dejected.

"Kim Taeyeon, we need to talk."

"If you break up with me, you're ugly." She sat up quickly, pointing accusingly at you.

"Seriousness."

"Okay, seriousness." She furrowed her eyebrows.

"You're working too much."

"How can I ever be working too much? If it's work, it can never be too much." She interrupted you.

"Taeyeon, you're overworking yourself." You repeated, dropping the playful tone and sounding worried.

"My love, you lost weight, you hardly sleep and you even eat little." You took her hands "You haven't taken a break in years." Your eyes met, in her face you noticed that she knew what you were saying was true.

"It's not like that..."

"Yes, honey, I know." She said, looking down to her hands.

"You're sick right now. Is it really so terrible for you to stay at home for a few days and do nothing?"

She averted her gaze to the side, trying to suppress a smile.

The reality was that it generated butterflies in her belly that you took care of and worried about her.

But you don't know that.

"It wouldn't be so bad." She whispered, succumbing to your words.

"Wouldn't it?" You smiled broadly.

"It wouldn't." She agreed "But I have one condition," you put on your serious face again "you have to kiss me."

"Taeng..."

"Of course I'll kiss you, just stay there." You fell backward onto the mattress, taking her with you, only to position yourself on top of her and press a kiss to her plumpy lips.

"Okay, then I have to go to practice." She tried to stand up, only to be stopped by your embrace.

Taeyeon lifted her arms and wrapped them around your neck, pulling you into her, deepening the kiss. But you suddenly got up and just walked away.

"There's a banana scattered on the floor of our living room." You replied disinterestedly.

"Where are you going!?" Taeyeon shouted upset.

Twice's 10th member suffers from heat stroke ft SNSD's Tiffany as GF

A/N: Heyyy, I'm coming up with a lot of stuff for you guys so I can make up for the time I'm gone lol! Sry for taking so long to post :D I hope that the anon who gave me this idea on Tumblr likes it!

The request: Hello! May I please request 10th member ft GF Tiffany. Where she collapses/passes out on stage during a concert from heat stroke or fever and Tiffany and the girls, panicking but then taking care of her.

PS: Tysm for everyone who reads what I write, I hope I can bring a smile to your faces every time I post! I'd like to thank whoever sent me this idea 'cause I loved to write it <3

The lights in the concert arena were blinding, and the cheers of the crowd were deafening. TWICE, one of the most beloved K-pop girl groups of the generation, was in the middle of a high-energy performance, showcasing their hit songs to thousands of fans. The stage was a whirlwind of colours, choreography, and music, and Y/N, the 10th and youngest member of the group, was giving her all, just as she always did.

In the midst of the performance, the maknae's vision started to blur, and a wave of dizziness washed over her. Her heart raced, and the heat of the stage lights seemed to intensify. She stumbled on her choreography, nearly colliding with one of her fellow members. Panic set in as her legs felt like lead, and the stage lights seemed to close in on her.

Tiffany, Y/N's girlfriend and a former member of Girls' Generation, watched from the side of the stage with concern etched across her face. She knew how hard her girl had been working, and the gruelling schedule they had all been keeping was taking its toll. Tiffany exchanged a worried glance with the other TWICE members, who had noticed Y/N's sudden struggle.

As the song reached its climax, Y/N's vision began to narrow, and she felt herself swaying dangerously. She managed to finish the routine, but as the final notes played, she collapsed to the floor, a crumpled heap of exhaustion and dehydration.

The arena fell into a stunned silence as the members of TWICE and the audience watched in shock. Tiffany's heart leapt into her throat as she rushed to the youngest's side, the other TWICE members following suit.

Tiffany - Baby! 

Tiffany cried, kneeling beside her girlfriend.

The medical team on standby rushed to the stage, and the arena's emergency response protocol kicked into action. The concert was halted, and a hush settled over the once-ecstatic audience.

Tiffany gently cradled Y/N's head in her lap, brushing a strand of sweat-soaked hair away from her girlfriend's pale face. 

Tiffany - Y/N, baby, can you hear me? *tapping cheek*

Y/N's eyelids fluttered open, and she looked up at Tiffany with a weak, dazed expression.

Y/N - Tiffany...

Tiffany's heart ached as she held her lover's hand tightly.

Tiffany - You're going to be okay, baby. Just hang in there.

The other TWICE members surrounded them, their faces filled with concern. Jihyo, the group's incredible leader, took charge, speaking to the medical team and the worried staff members. Nayeon, Sana, Momo, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, Jeongyeon, Tzuyu, and Mina gathered around, forming a protective circle around their little sister.

The paramedics quickly arrived on the scene, checking Y/N's vital signs and administering emergency treatment for heatstroke. The members watched with bated breath, their hearts heavy with worry. Tiffany's grip on Y/N's hand never wavered.

The medical team assured everyone that the maknae's condition was stable but cautioned that she needed immediate rest and medical attention. Y/N was carefully placed on a stretcher and wheeled away, leaving Tiffany and the TWICE members to follow in a mix of fear and relief.

In the privacy of the backstage area, Y/N was settled in a temporary medical bay. She was hooked up to an IV drip, receiving fluids to rehydrate her. Tiffany sat by her side, holding her hand and speaking soothing words.

Tiffany - Honey, you scared me to death.

Tiffany murmured as her voice trembled with emotion.

Y/N managed a weak smile. 

Y/N - I'm so sorry, Tiff. I didn't want this to happen.

Tiffany leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to her girl's forehead. 

Tiffany - You don't have to apologize, love. We should have noticed how hard you've been working.

As Tiffany held Y/N's hand, the other members of TWICE gathered around, their faces etched with concern. Jihyo stepped forward, her motherly instincts taking over. 

Jihyo - Sweetheart, we're so glad you're okay. But you have to take better care of yourself. *frowning*

The other members nodded in agreement. Sana spoke up, her voice filled with guilt. 

Sana - We should have realized you were pushing yourself too hard. *pouts*

TWICE's angel closed her eyes, feeling overwhelmed by the love and concern surrounding her. 

Y/N - I didn't want to let anyone down. I wanted to give my best for our fans.

Mina placed a gentle hand on Y/N's shoulder. 

Mina - Lovebug, we love you, and we appreciate your dedication, but your health comes first. We should have made that clear to you.

Y/N's eyes welled up with tears, and she squeezed Tiffany's hand tightly. 

Y/N - I'm so lucky to have all of you. Thank you for caring about me.

Nayeon - You're not alone in this, kiddo. We're like a family, and we look out for each other. *reassuring smile*

With the paramedics' guidance, Y/N was given the care she needed. She was advised to take some time off to fully recover. Tiffany, ever the supportive girlfriend, promised to be by her side every step of the way.

Over the next few weeks, Y/N rested and recuperated with Tiffany's unwavering care. She realized the importance of self-care and the strength of the bond she shared with both her girlfriend and her TWICE family.

As the members of TWICE returned to their rigorous schedule, they made a conscious effort to ensure that all the members, including Y/N, took breaks and stayed healthy. They had learned a valuable lesson from that fateful day, one that reminded them of the importance of looking out for one another and never taking their health for granted.

And this made them all share one thought:

No. 10

KEY - Gasoline

Overall a good song with a more than perfect MV, but I disliked on my first listen and it took me a while to give it a second chance. Plus, I don't like the album itself, that is the physical item.

SM Town - The Cure

I know it's a very recent release, but it's, in my opinion, the second best SM Town Winter song. The only thing I don't enjoy is the TaeMark rap. I want to buy the album but the shipping fees and the difficulty to find the Kangta ver. makes it complicated.

MAX CHANGMIN - Devil

As always, Changmin never disappoints. I hesitated between Fever and this one, but Devil is so unique among this year releases, and showcases best how talented that man is. Sadly it isn't enough to be ranked higher.

SNSD - FOREVER 1

One of the most awaited comeback of the year, and it was so worth it. That song is mindless fun, with beautiful women singing, and a catchy chorus I can't help but to sing.

BIGBANG - Still Life

From its release up until, I think September, it was first. I was ecstatic when it'd be announced (for real), and it's an amazing song with so much artistry. But there were no promotions, nothing, and I can't really listen to it anymore, for some reason.

Jackson Wang - Blow

Like the No. 2 of this list, it was an unexpected... blow, so to speak. Mind you, I don't check any GOT7-related songs, I don't like them. I'll just make an exception for Jackson, because that one song is so hot and pleasant to listen to. Also, there should have been stages (another common point with No. 2)

SUPER JUNIOR - Mango

The mandatory suju song hehe. That one has everything : insane vocals, good styling, moments I scream over, and an overall sexyness I wasn't ready for. What else is there to say?

KANGTA (feat Paloalto) - Love Song

Not really a 2022 release, is it? Three years late, hm-hm, but I forgive him, it's great in all aspects. Too sad he didn't get to perform it though. The reason it's No. 3 is because, thanks to Kangta, I fell into a H.O.T rabbit hole (see No. 2) I still have to escape, and thanks to H.O.T, I bought a hi-fi stereo to listen to Resurrection I also bought.

JANG WOOHYUK - ECHO

That song took me by surprise. Despite being a single, I would have bought it, did it existed physical. That song makes me so emotionnal for a reason I can't explain, it's beautiful. Plus, the cut on his face is so hot.

Before going on No. 1, here are some honourable mentions : BoA's Forgive Me (the whole EP is a no-skip) ; TAEYEON's INVU (the whole album is also a no-skip) ; KIHYUN's RAIN (was in the ranking for a while, too) ; WayV's Phantom ; SM Town's Happier ; and finally, ATEEZ's Cyberpunk (aka, their best song, sadly I no longer actively listen to them and I hated Guerilla). Now onto the main event!

RYEOWOOK - Hiding Words

First, I'll say this : I was excited for that comeback, even had pre-ordered the EP. Then, the highlight medley and Bluebird happened, and I cried, and cancelled my pre-order. And still. Hiding Words is the best song to come out from a suju solo, title previously owned by The Little Prince. Between the MV, the lyrics, the concept, the high notes, the way Ryeowook sings, everything stands out as perfect. No wonder that man had been my second bias (and could be again, after the SM Town concert). The more I listen to Hiding Words, the more I fall in love. Bless him.

My Top 15 Kpop songs of 2022

Okay, it’s been QUITE some time since I really used this but I feel like it’s a good time to get into the habit of posting on here. What better way to start than to post about some of my favorite Kpop tracks this year. 

It’s a mix of Title Tracks, B-sides, and Digital singles. It’s in no particular order.  If you think my choices are lacking in taste, cope and make your own list.  I’ll also create a favorite albums of 2022. Here we go!

Taeyeon- INVU

The whole album will be making an appearance on my top 15 kpop albums list, but this title track really impressed me, I loved the whole vibe of the song. 

Changmin- Fever

Devil is also a monster track but personally  I prefer Fever.  The performance of it is outstanding. 

Bang Yongguk- Up 

My guy got discharged and came back swinging!  The whole project is so good! If you haven’t checked it out, you should.

Tan- Du Du Du

Impressive debut from this rookie group.  Later releases have been hit or miss with me, but this track made me take notice of them.  Hopefully they’ll get back to this kind of music because they were onto something here. 

Purple Kiss- Can’t Stop Dreamin’ 

Just got into this group and this song really caught my attention.  Love their vocals and can’t wait to hear more from them. 

Onew- On the Way

Onew stepped out of his comfort zone with this and it’s such a GROOVE! Another one that will be showing up on the top albums list. 

B.I. feat. Devita - BTBT

This song has been in heavy rotation ever since I heard it. It’s so addictive.  I love it. 

iKON- But You

This track wasn’t what I was expecting from them, however this really fits them as they are currently.  Do I miss ratchet iKON? Yes, but I’m not mad at this point of their musical journey. 

Hyoyeon- DEEP 

MY GIRL!  People slept on this release but it’s so great! So on brand for her.  

Pixy- Villain

There were many tracks called Villain this year and this one by Pixy is by far my favorite. It’s a whole MOOD.

SNSD- Mood Lamp

It’s SNSD.  They came back.  That’s all I have to say.  

EXID- Fire

See the reason I have for SNSD.  

NCT 127- Gold Dust

127 is always in their lane when they are crooning.  Fell in love with this track on first listen.

Ten- Birthday

Taemin’s #5 Fanboy was on one with this track.  It’s gorgeous.  More of this Ten.

Jaehyun- Forever Only

My guy Jaehyun did not disappoint when it was his turn in NCT Lab.  All I’m waiting on is the solo album announcement (which I hope happens in 2023 considering the reception of this and Lost).

interior: a softer sentimentalist — his music gravitates towards a softer, paler version of him that’s often times nestled inside a harder exterior he fronts for strangers. close friends have experienced this side, knowing this is genuine. his music rarely gravitates towards ‘harder hitting’ songs that cater towards the public image. instead, it’s a more reserved, subdued shadow he sits in. playlist summary: he’s written, composed and arranged a lot of songs over the span of his career. first, it began with job duties, and submitting songs for other groups to consume. grass is greener on the other side, and contrary to his own belief, getting his solo debut didn’t make it any better. now, he’s just teetering between the lines of writing for other groups, but prioritizing his own music when inspiration dawns. over the course of his career, he’s found his own favorites that he finds himself listening to when most times, he wouldn’t be caught dead listening to his own music. this is his top ten favorites (in specific order). wc: 471

generally speaking, gyujeong has this 반전매력 (reverse charm??) associated with him and his music. his image shows one thing, especially with the rumors. yet, when you take a close look at his music, it turns into this softspoken sadboy who just writes about getting his heart broken a million times over

it’s no surprise that this is true to who he is : ) 

(it also adds to why the gyujeong fans really think of him as ‘boyfriend material’ despite what rumors fly around because they want to believe he’s all soft on the inside. haters will say he has a ghost writer and gold star is just image making for the fact he had those rumors)

but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t want to write something with a hard hitting beat or just something fun (ex: any song, maestro, ddu du ddu du), it just means he resonates with the more softer / emotional songs he writes

that said, he’s no ballader so you won’t see him belt. but you will see him sing / song or almost speak-rap in a full song — or if that’s not the case, he knows he can’t sing the full song? he’ll give it to another group to sing it on his behalf, because that way he can’t get sick of listening to himself trying to rap

he tends to listen to these songs of his because they are easy listening. sometimes, it hurts his brain when there’s too much noise and with these songs, he’s able to just sit back, relax and sulk a bit easier than with other music

the songs also hold a lot of sentimental value? each one in its own right, and each one has a poignant story. the weight of each song is what makes them in his top ten

the ironic part is the songs that he deems his favorite are often the ones neglected on the charts (aside from a few songs — but he blames the success of those songs due to the feature or the group singing it rather than his own ability) 

another ironic fact is that his songs that he enjoys are the ones that took the least amount of time to write — his last album took a few weeks to write, produce etc. and the others took a span of a few days because he was writing like he had a fever

there are blatant imperfections in the songs he released, but he thinks that makes the charm of unprocessed songs? makes it more visceral / palpable to how he was feeling at the time

fun fact: he doesn’t remember writing the rough draft two of the songs because he was pretty much blacked out, but after listening to it and fine tuning it, he gets a sense of what he was feeling that night
