Ok so obviously 407 was the clearest romantic shift for jordayla. How do you think that would have played out if Simone was actually at prom?

Anon! Talk about the peak of teen angst.

Okay, first of all, Simone would be in the same color or complimentary color as Layla. So she'd either be in hot pink, or a similar jeweled tone. They tend to coordinate Layla's and Simone's outfits the closer jordayla get.

So Jordan wouldn't have given Layla the corsage, but she would've still had the conversation with Laura. And Jordan would've noticed as he was taking pictures with Simone at Slauson's. And maybe Simone insists that they talk to Layla, and they pose for a picture with Jordan in the middle.

Then at prom, Simone would've excitedly gestured to Clay and Layla talking and Jordan would've grown sullen. Then Patience would come up to Layla with an "I told you so" and Layla would've bolted. Like, get me to the studio stat. This is too much.

So Jordan would've been hanging out with the boys, and Simone would've been in the powder room or like, with the girls, and he would've noticed Layla hightail it out of there and would've followed her into the hallway.

So the roles are reversed, she's the one who's gonna bail, and he'll say, you should at least be able to say you slow danced at your senior prom. And she looks at his outstretched hand and stares longingly at the exit bc where's Simone? And are they really going to do this now? But she wants to dance with him. So she takes his hand.

Then they have the exact dance they had in the episode. And at the very end, when they've parted, Simone comes in the hallway and is like, everything okay?

So Jordan follows Simone back into the gym, and Layla then makes the decision to say yes to Clay's offer bc what just happened??? And Simone and Jordan are dancing, and Simone brings up their impending separation because she thinks that's why Jordan's acting weird. And he's like, have you seen Layla lately?

So Simone leaves early too, just like Layla, because she decided to do both the prom and the tournament (which is the next day in this universe) and will be leaving at the crack of dawn to get there on time. And the minute she does, he goes to the studio bc why did she leave? And they have the same scene where he sees Clay.

So I see them still having many of the same moments, but with a hell of a lot more mess. And that's the first inkling that Simone gets about jordayla.

Ermias Joseph “Nipsey Hussle” Asghedom (August 15, 1985 - March 31, 2019) was a Grammy-nominated rapper and songwriter. He was born in Los Angeles to Dawit Asghedom and Angelique Smith. He got involved in gang life by joining the Crips at a young age. He attended Alexander Hamilton High School which he dropped out before graduating.

Determined to change his life, he started to focus on his music career. He adopted the name “Nipsey Hussle” from comedian Julius “Nipsey” Russell. He released his first mixtape called A Slauson Boy.
