Now that this lovely GIF got your attention, I have an announcement to make! I asked two days ago if anyone would be interested in a Jonlock-themed event, and many people seemed to like the idea! So here you have it!

Hello, froggies!

First things first: as you remember, I started a poll a few days ago to determine the frequency of our event. I was quite surprised to see that the absolute majority voted for twice a year/ every six months!

Thank you a lot for voting and helping me make this decision! The next FW Sherlock Holmes Fanweekend will be scheduled for November 2024 - I will let you know the exact dates a bit later.

Second things second: I will rename the event from „fanweek“ to „fanweekend“. It doesn’t roll off the tongue as nicely, but it’s a more accurate description 🤭

And last but not least: I know some people struggled with the theme „family“ - ngl, I struggled a little, too 🥲. I decided that the second event should have three themes instead of one - one for each day, so to speak.

However, there will be no theme-days: you can share your contribution(s) to the theme(s) of your choice during the whole event and regardless of the day. And of course, you can participate with as many creations as you want to. The idea behind having multiple themes is to give everyone more freedom to create something they like and not to restrict them 😄

I will start taking suggestions for the themes soon, and then create a poll. This will happen in a separate post, though.

I've finished Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened. There were many controversial points. I drew this picture before I started downloading the game. I like the idea of suicide riddles that make Sherlock lose his mind. However, I didn't have enough madness. I mean the content of hallucinations (the moment in the hospital is visually very cringe).

Plus, which I want to emphasize: After passing the game, I softened my attitude towards Watson and Mycroft. But they are far from the level of love for Jon.

This is my contribution to the event. It's a drawing inspired by one of my fanfics - A Beekeeper's Journey Home

For some context: Sherlock and Jon meet again once Sherlock retires. Here, he is saving a stranded jellyfish after Jon asked him to 🪼 (it's not a lion's mane, don't worry).

To admit to the word of…love so ardently is vulnerable to a point he simply cannot risk. It's blazing and new and so dangerous.

It's easier to ignore it. Safer. To shove it down and cover it with annoyance, irritation, guilt, lust, admiration or respect. Anything else, anything to dull the ache. Anything to protect himself from losing. 

He's protecting them both. 

Sherlock knows what happens when you love someone. Love is loss. 

But now…there is nothing else it can be, laid bare in his mind. Tomorrow he will excuse it away, describe it as anything else. Distance himself from the truth once more. But now, that's all there is. All there ever was. 

That and the voices of the somethings below the surface of the world bellowing in tones too low to hear, felt in your bones with every step. 

He hates nights like this.

Finally finished my 11k porn with plot light angst transatlantic eldritch horror Frogwares Johnlock fic I've been cooking with my buddy @themostat who edited and drew all the artwork for it (his art work is insane, check him out) for the like 3 people in this fandom.
