O.K. So I have a new favorite song. It's "Worst Day Since Yesterday" by Flogging Molly. These days I find a lot of new music by digging around on YouTube. This song I found watching Stargate. Universe on Hulu I'm not going into SG.U in this entry. You either know it or you don't. Suffice it to say, it was a featured song on the TV soundtrack. It kind of had an Irish essence, and pushed one of the same buttons that Gaelic Storm does. I searched it on YouTube, and I'm ashamed, yet delighted to say It was Flogging Molly. And the song illustrates how I've been feeling lately. Yesterday just sucked. I got soaked walking to work. I did a busy 5 hour shift, and just about dried out. Then I was rained on walking back to the bus stop. And along the way, I slipped in the mud, soiling one leg and cheek on one leg of my good work pants. I had to stick the knee of the other pant leg in the dirt to get up. I'm broke, and I mean really broke. Using the washer and drier is out of the question. So I had to dig a pair of previously uncomfortable slacks out of the closet. Really, they weren't bad. They are a kind of khaki that I think I can get away with at work, as they are a little browner, or redder, than typical. They're kind of that construction worker khaki color that is a little darker than the "military" khaki. What made them uncomfortable is that they're a 46 waist, that I can tuck in a shirt with and have the belt and waistline cross my gut. A 46. A 46 means I've lost more weight. I don't know how much, because my bathroom scale has given up on me. But the gist is the pants fit, and fit well. Perhaps it's a silver lining?
