"Detective Seo, have you checked out the crime scene?" "Yes, I have. It's absolutely insane. Just seeing it I'm already want to throw up." "I've already heard the details. You'll retire soon, wouldn't this case be too big for you?"

"Stop talking nonsense... Do you have nothing in mind?" "I actually have some. 'The Murder of a Whole Family in Villa'... and 'Serial Killer in a Studio'."

"9 years... or is it 10 years ago? I still can't forget the thick smell of blood." "Those people... All of them are dead, aren't they?" "Yes. That's what the victim said. If I'm not mistaken his name is Jungwoo...? He's a kid who just started his social life.. Poor him.."

"Maybe their organization is bigger than we thought." "Is there anything left?"

"I don't know... That case was sentenced as the only crime that that organization did..." "There are 2 victims that came out alive from those killers."

"What? Is it Jungwoo? Or Jongwoo? Isn't it only one guy?" "No, there's one more, Sim Gyuheon's girlfriend, the dead victim. She jumped into the river and miraculously save." "But in the end, Sim Gyuheon's body couldn't be found."

"When the investigation was going on, she was having PTSD that made her have aphasia and amnesia. She couldn't help us at all." "Well... That time I didn't know that she's still alive... But I found out when I rechecked the notes that time."

"Ah... then what happened?" "Maybe those people can help our investigation. So far we have zero lead..." "Hmm... Would they want to help us, tho? Maybe to this day they're still traumatize by it..."

Ep. 62

Jaeho sees Jongwoo's whole body trembling, covered in sweat. He looks horrified, even though his face is almost completely blank.

"The one beside Jongwoo, are you his friend?" Moonjo asks, the fake 'friendly' smile is still there on his lips.

"... I was his senior when we're still in college." He glares at Moonjo.

"Oh I see. Somehow it feels like you're used to ordering people around, are you working in business field?" (T/N: unlike in the live-action, I don't think there's passive-aggressiveness in Moonjo's voice. I don't wtf webtoon!MJ wants tho)

"... Yes. I do many kind of stuffs."

"Ah, then are you the CEO where Jongwoo works?" Moonjo continues. "So that's why Jongwoo comes to Seoul."

"... Look." Jaeho snaps, while Jongwoo besides him getting more and more pale. "It's been a long since we last met and we have a lot we want to talk by ourselves."

"Ah, sorry. I suddenly sit here because I'm really to meet you. Then I'll excuse myself." He gets up from the chair, still smiling. "Jongwoo, can you smoke with me for a minute? Or am I asking too much?"

Jongwoo looks at him in utter horror. But he nods anyway and follows Moonjo outside. Jaeho stares at them worriedly.

Outside the restaurant, without looking back to Jongwoo, "The weather is getting warmer, isn't it?" Jongwoo only stares at Moonjo's back. "These days it's really hard to meet 202-ahjussi."

He then turns his head. His smile has disappeared completely. "Social life is hard, isn't it? You must be really happy that your girlfriend comes here." He continues. "A really pretty girlfriend, at that."

"That's... excuse me..." Jongwoo's hands are still trembling. "S-sir... What's the reason for you to follow me? N-no..."

He looks down at his feet. "Whatever you do... What's happening there, I won't care. I am now fired from my job, I'll go to my hometown. I won't ever come back to that place."

Moonjo turns his head to the front again, making Jongwoo talks to his back instead.

"I... never talk about you or anyone there... to other people. I will really really disappear. So please..."

Moonjo suddenly turns his head back to him again, startling him. His creepy smiles is there again. "I really have no idea what you're talking about."

That's when Jaeho suddenly shows up.

"Hey. You there! I wanna talk with you real quick." He said, rather rudely. "I heard from Jongwoo, he said the people in his apartment are bullying him... Do you think your reality would be better if you do stuffs like that?" (T/N: Jaeho-ssi i know you mean well but YOU NEED TO SHUT UP)

"I won't say a lot, but you should stop living like that." Jaeho put a smoke on his lips and lit it. "Acting so nice in front of all of us while fake smiling like that." (T/N: nice jab tho, Jaeho-ssi. He does need a firm scolding like that)

But once Jaeho looks back at Moonjo's face, his fake nice persona has already disappeared. Replaced by an indescribably blank but horrible face (T/N: I don't know how to describe Moonjo's face here. His face is blank but like... scary... as f*ck. Just check out the webtoon! Heheh) that makes Jaeho completely speechless.

"I'll see you later." Moonjo says as he leaves. His lips are smiling again, but this one is a completely different smile from the one before (T/N: like you just know somebody is gonna DIE tonight skskskks).

Yeah so I wanna highlight that webtoon!Jaeho isn't as shitty as live-action!Jaeho. As sometimes annoying as he is, his friendship with Jongwoo is a lot more genuine. He truly cares about him. He's still a rich brat, yes, but not hypocrite like live-action ver of him. He's simply just a human being with flaws.

I guess the scriptwriter makes him more of a jerk in the live-action so we would cheer Moonjo when he kills him.

Ep. 61 (T/N: one of my fave episodes because of how gay but creepy it is. But still not nearly as gay as the live-action version tho. Gahh I luv moonjo here)

"... What?" Jaeho looked at him in disbelief. "What did you just say to me? You... Don't make mistake you're gonna regret just because a split second of emotion... Do you want not to see me for the rest of your life? No, right?"

Jongwoo looks down as Jaeho scolds him. Pure wrath is very thinly veiled in his face.

"I know you're having a hard time," Jaeho continues. "But still, you can't express it like this. You're no longer a child... Have you really become crazy?"

Shut the f*ck up, you b*stard. Jongwoo stares coldly at him again. I never liked you from the beginning. The thinly veiled anger inside of him starts to be more and more visible on his eyes. Motherf*cker who lives alone in massive house... If only you had let me live in your place, if only you had been willing to listen to my story more seriously... No. If only you hadn't called me here from the start...

"Jongwoo... why..." Jieun sees the emotion building up inside of Jongwoo.

"Huh!? Wake the f*ck up! You think you're the only one in this world who's having a hard time? You think you're the only one who lives in small apartment and is stressed out because of their job!?" Jaehoo snaps. "You're actually not this kind of guy, are you...!!"

Jongwoo grabs a bottle of Soju with his left hand. Ready to attack.

"H-huh? This b*stard. Are you gonna hit me with that? You're gonna attack me as well?" He starts to worry about his own life. (T/N: yeah, about time, Jaeho-ssi.) "This brat... You really have become insane. Just do it! DO IT!"

But Jongwoo doesn't attack him. All his emotions that have been piling up from before are suddenly gone, once he recognizes the figure behind Jaeho.

"Oh, it really is 202-ahjussi." Moonjo appears, smiling emotionlessly (T/N: to avoid confusion, I'm gonna call 203 Moonjo. Tho he's actually more of a mix of Moonjo AND Kihyuk). "What a coincidence that we meet here."

Jaeho turns his head to him, startled.

"Ah, I'm sorry for showing up so suddenly like this. It's because I'm so happy to meet (T/N: to meet who? To meet Jongwoo? Aigooo xD)." Moonjo says pleasantly to the very cautious Jaeho. "I live in the same building as Jongwoo."

Jongwoo just sits there as Moonjo bulshitting his way.

"I come to this restaurant often after work, seeing him from the back I thought ah he really looked similar."

The bottle of Soju is still tightly wrapped in his hand. But Jongwoo does nothing but holding it.

"We are talk--" But Moonjo cut Jaeho's words. He walks closer to Jieun instead, pulling the empty chair right beside her.

"If you don't mind, can I sit here for while?" Moonjo says to Jieun (T/N: unlike in the live-action, this is the first time Moonjo and Jieun meet, btw).

"Ah..." Jieun hesitates.

"I come here to eat alone, so I'm kinda sad." (T/N: HAHAHAH. REAL SMOOTH, MOONJO. REAL SMOOTH.) He sits there without waiting for anyone to answer. His smile is still there, but the air around him becomes chillingly cold when he asks to her, "Are you Jongwoo's girlfriend?" (T/N: HAHAHHAHAHAHA)

Jaeho stares at him in a mix of disbelief, confusion, and alertness. Jongwoo stares at him as well. But his expression has become unreadable again. (T/N: he's blank. He kinda looks like he's gonna kill someone, actually. Or is it fear? Man I have no idea. Just check the webtoon and see it yourself sksksk.)

"Ah... yes, I am..." Jieun answers.

Meanwhile in Eden

"A-ahjumma. Aren't we supposed to c-clear up this place s-soon? I-I think we stay here for t-too long..." The bald guy says to Mrs Eom as he handles Seokyoon's body.

"There's still one person left, isn't it," Mrs Eom says, as she handles something else (T/N: I think she helps him tidying up the place?).

"W-what if we continue like this and get caught?"

"Have you ever seen that boy made any mistake?" Mrs Eom says. "He's different from the rest of us. We just have to trust and follow him. After all this time being with him, you still don't know that?"

She then grins sickeningly sweet. "And that boy never ever lets go the toy that he likes." (T/N: SHE'S REFERING TO JONGWOO ISN'T SHE. AIGOOO)

They let us see a glimpse of what is left of bloody Seokyoon's body.

"If you're that worried, then let's clean his mess." Mrs Eom continues. "After a couple of months we're doing this, this place has become quite smelly, eh."

"... Okay."

Back at the restaurant

"Once again, I'm really sorry for showing up so suddenly," Moonjo apologizes again. There's no remorse whatsoever on his blank face, tho. Eventhough he lips is smiling. "I'm just gonna sit here for a while and then leave. It's alright with you right, Jongwoo?"

Jongwoo is absolutely speechless.

"Coming home to that coffin-like of a room right after work. It feels like you're alone in this world." Moonjo says. A smile is still curved on his thin lips. "That's why I don't like coming straight home. I often drink here first before coming home."

Unlike Jongwoo, Jaeho doesn't bother to veil his annoyance as Moonjo keeps talking.

"My work place isn't far rom here. Jongwoo knows how that feels, right?" (T/N: I really like the way he talks here. He talks as if Jongwoo is some child [?]. Which is precious.) "I actually haven't been able to talk a lot with Jongwoo. Even though I really want to be close to him because Jongwoo seems like a good guy... At first he looks so cheerful, but with more time his face has become more and more dim. I feel sympathy towards him. Because I can understand him."

(T/N: "I can understand him" ugh this is so right in so many level)

"I talk too much. I'm sorry. I'm a bit drunk," he smiles again. All of them only stare at him with uneasiness. "Please drink up. It's my treat, if you want to eat anything, just order it."

Jaeho stop staring at him and moves his eyes towards Jongwoo. Jongwoo's whole body is trembling. Violently. And that's when he realizes how much Jongwoo is scared of this guy.

203 is such a smooth talker, yes. But he's not as good as an actor as Seo Moonjo, in my opinion.

Ep. 60

Seokyoon is crawling on floor, trying to escape. Both his eyes are wrapped with duct tape. There are some splatters of his own blood all over his face and body. There are stairs in front of him, and he hopelessly falls off them, making loud noises as he reach downstairs.

The bald man grins maniacally, "Go! Gooo!"

Seokyoons continues to crawl. String of blood drips from his nose and temple. Still, he keeps on falling. Still, he keeps going. (TN: Ugh this is so painful to read. The bald guy really toys with him, letting him fall and rise repeatedly ;_____;)

"Young man from 205! What's happening!!" Suddenly Seokyoon could hear Mrs Eom's voice. She takes the duct tape off his face.

Seokyoon is crying. "A-ahjumma... p-please help me." He pleads. Mrs Eom's figure is blurry in front him. For a moment, she manages to make him think that there's concern and worried on her face. But then, once her face becomes clear...

"Geez... Having fun playing, eh?" A smile curved on her lips.

"... F*ck."

A voice of something being hit and drop to the floor. And then black out.

Meanwhile Jongwoo and Jieun, in a restaurant

"Are you sure you're alright?" Jieun asks.

"Yes... I'm sure. It's really nothing." Jongwoo lies, forcing a smile on his lips.

"There's nothing but why is you face like that? It hasn't been a month since you moved here, but your face is already like that! I almost couldn't recognize you!" Jieun scolds him. She's genuinely worried about him (unlike live-action!Jieun I guess).

"I'm just tired because I'm still not used to my job..." His smiles vanished. He refuses to look Jieun in the eyes. "And my face is like this is just because I fell off stairs... And besides, I'm really surprised because you come here. But also really happy..."

(T/N: in the webtoon, both Jongwoo and Jieun isn't from Seoul. Webtoon!Jongwoo leaves Jieun to go to Seoul, unlike live-action!Jongwoo who leaves his hometown to be with Jieun in Seoul.)

Jieun says nothing, only stares at him in concern.

"These days I'm a bit busy that I don't pay attention to you, do I? I rarely talk to you... How's your work?"

"Oppa, actually..." But before Jieun finishes her sentence, Jaeho shows up.

"Hei! Jieun~"

"Ah, Jaeho-oppa!"

"Jieun! Long time no se. Whoaa~ Jongwoo, you... Are you alright?" Jongwoo glares at him. "If Jieun comes here, you should tell me!" He sits right beside Jongwoo.

"Actually... I called Jaeho-oppa and asked him what's going on... Because I'm worried...," Jieun comes clean.

"You make your girlfriend worried," Jaeho scolds Jongwoo, putting one of his hand on Jongwoo's shoulder. "Hah... We've known each other for more than years. I'm not happy to end things like this with you. Byungmin isn't injured too badly, but he's so determined to sue..."

He's completely oblivious to Jongwoo's glare, apparently. (T/N: please don't think of webtoon!Jaeho as the same shit head that is live-action!Jaeho. Webtoon!Jaeho is an actual senior with genuine friendship with webtoon!Jongwoo and Jieun.)

"Jieun. How are you? It's been a long time since you graduate."

"Yes..."

"You must be surprised, hearing Jongwoo's story? This brat is getting more insane, and he finally snaps and makes trouble," Jaeho continues. "Here, both of you drink this. It's my treat." He pours the drink for all of them.

"But Jieun, please be more understanding to him. Life in the new place must be very hard that he becomes like this." Jaeho says seriously to Jieun. (T/N: SEE? WEBTOON!JAEHO IS NICE)

"Hei." Jongwoo, who has been only staring at Jaeho when the guy is talking, suddenly opens his mouth. His face is blank. His expression is hard to read. His eyes is cold. "Are you asking to be beaten up too?"

See a lot of differences between the webtoon and live-action? The scriptwriters cleverly made twists here and there, yes, but the twist they made here were one of my favorite. Especially the ones they made when Moonjo decided to get into the restaurant (which happens in the next ep)!

"Jieun." "Ah, Jongwoo!" she smiles. Her smile fades once she takes a look at Jongwoo's exhausted and beaten up face. "Ah... Why is your face like that? Did someone beat you?" Jongwoo says nothing. He takes Jieun to his arms, hiding his worried face from her. "What? What happened?" "No... Nothing... It's nothing... It's... Nothing..."

Meanwhile in the goshiwon

Seokyoon, being tied by his whole body, including his neck, duct tape around both his eyes and mouth.

"Lalalala~" the bald man sings cheerfully. A wide smile on his mouth. "Let me see~ S-still alive? G-Good. Since you're young you're very resilient~ D-d-do you want to eat first now?" He unwraps Seokyoon's duct tape from his mouth. "D-do you like kare? T-there are some in the kitchen... You have to eat routinely so your m-mum won't worry."

The bald guy puts a plate of kare and rice on the floor in front of Seokyoon. Then he loosens his rope. "I'll l-lose your rope~"

"Uh... Ukh..." Seokyoon's body collapsed to the floor.

"Y-you feel more comfortable, right? Y-you too~ Must be suffering, r-right? Y-you got caught by these crazy people... E-even I don't understand their h-hobbies... W-why do they do things that make u-us in trouble..."

The bald guy keeps on mumbling to Seokyoon.

"I-I'm now s-so worried. T-they're so confident to leave footprints like this... We didn't get caught until now all this time is just because we're lucky. H-h-he thinks he's smart."

Seokyoon's body shivers from all the tortures he had received so far.

"He ordered me a lot of stuffs... B-but because I can still eat, I stay here... I-I too, everytime I saw him, I get c-c-chilled. That crazy motherf*cker is different... I think."

The smile on his face gradually drops down into a frown. "W-what do you think? D-do you think that b*stard looks down on me? F-f*ck... I suddenly get mad..."

He suddenly screams and kicking his surroundings repeatedly, making Seokyoon flinch in surprise. "AAAAKKKHHH!! SON OF A B*TCH!! THAT F*CKING M*THERF*CKER!! HE LOOKS DOWN O-ON ME! B*STARD, I-I WILL KILL HIM!!!"

After he calms down a bit, "Y-young man, wanna play a game? I-I will untie the rope and you t-try to escape from the p-perverted with glasses." He really unties Seoyoon's rope. "I-if you manage to escape maybe I will gain bravery. I-I'm too kinda scared here."

He did untie Seokyoon's body, yes. But he never unwraps the duct tape covering his eyes. "Oh oh... Right! Right!" He cheers as he watchs Seokyoon blindly crawls on the floor. He laughs loudly, a sickeningly wide grin on his face. "Whoah~!! Even in t-this kind of situation you don't g-give up eh! S-so nice to be young! Y-you would be able to become a-anything!"

His laughs echo to the whole room while Seokyoon keeps crawling, trying to escape. We can see tears slowly trickles from the corner of his covered eyes.

"GO! GOOOOO~!!" The bald guy, his hand in the air, 'cheering' for Seokyoon. While the perverted guy with glasses watch them both from behind silently.

just a little thought on this exchange between jung - hwa & the other cop.

while police officer jung-hwa already suspected that the cat killing spree within the area was done by someone who was just "practicing" before they proceeded to do the same with humans, the other cop just dismissed it by saying “they don’t even have the guts to hurt people, so they’re doing that to animals.”

driven by her instinct (and she’s always accurate too), jung-hwa is already on to something. but the other cop thought that this was just done by some kids or someone who was crazy enough to find satisfaction in hurting those cats and he believed that the culprit has not yet crossed the line. because they still don’t have the “guts” to do it so they are after the weaker choice.

what they didn’t know is that the person behind it was already way past on that line. already done with his “practicing” a long time ago and the only reason why deuk-jong was after those cats was because he was afraid of the real predator, aka the the craziest mf on the goshiwon aka moon jo.
