omg please someone write a MERMAN!Chigiri fic/hc/drabble/smth I’m going insane.

ITS ALL IVE THOUGHT ABOUT FOR THE PAST MONTH AND A HALF. PLEASE SOMEONE IM BEGGING

Oh it's fine ,I was just really curious about what's up with them ,you don't have to explain if you don't want to :D

I DO WANT TO IM JUST GONNA NEED TO ORGANIZE MY THOUGHTS and struggle with the sources bc i just grabbed bits of lore from other shippers 😭 most of their lore, if im not mistaken, comes from the passerby of wandering cloud relic set. keep in mind im also only referring to the english translation so it could be slightly different in the source material

but basically they were very closely involved with each other in the past. dan heng made matching bracers for both him and blade, as stated in the hand relic:

"A slender yet strong hand once wore the other bracer. That owner, whose sharp spear glinted with a cold light and flourished like shooting stars, once sparred with the unnamed. That owner also once shared company and drinks with the unnamed, the two of them simply gazing at the moon with no words exchanged. However, in the end, it was also this person who stubbornly adhered to their plans with the unnamed, turned the beloved into a monstrosity, and pushed all into an abyss of eternal hatred and remorse."

the owner is dan heng, while the unnamed/beloved is theorized to be blade. im insisting on the theorized part because it could be a third-party; some people mentioned jingliu, who was jing yuan's mentor, but it doesn't exactly correlates as she isn't mentioned anywhere else in the set + i think there's a lightcone mentioning that she went mad after losing her sister? don't take my word for it tho. another interesting thing is that these bracers allowed them to communicate telepathically <3

now the "turned the beloved into a monstrosity" is also important, because it's theorized that dan heng turned blade immortal, which is why he's banned from the entire planet. this comes from blade's intent for revenge/"three must pay the price" cutscene, + the head piece lore of the relic set:

"Epiphany struck him like lightning. The curse of immortality still raged on, and the grudge of past misgivings never died out. HE was now the newborn flower on this once-dead branch."

now there's a moment where blade just wanders aimlessly before he's found by the stellaron hunters, and he's still pretty much out of it and closer to a wild beast than an actual person. however, the body piece says this (as he is with the stellaron hunters):

"In hazy memories of the olden days, he finally made up his mind to gift his bosom friend with his hand-made jade flask, only to realize with a shock that the person he longed for was no longer there."

"bosom friend" is theorized to be dan heng, and blade's intent to give him a hand-made gift to be a response to the aforementioned bracers. it's also interesting to note that "bosom friend" is kind of an outdated term for lovers, or at least someone you have deep feelings for

that's all i can say without diving into leaked information (including story spoilers) but. the way i see it, they're former lovers - and dan heng turned blade immortal against his will, perhaps as a desperate attempt to keep him forever by his side.

a deeper look into the theory/timeline: the vidyadhara race is known to "reincarnate" (like bailu says when we meet her), which is why they're truly immortal in a sense, because their cells rejuvenate completely (as opposed to the foxians for ex) and they actually die. so dan heng could have sealed away his actual dragon self in a way. as it stands, he doesn't remember anything - he just saw blade in a nightmare once, and considering what blade says it's understandable that dan heng is pissing himself.

however i don't believe that blade wants to kill him for good, or that dan heng is actually traumatized/suffering from ptsd. it looks more like guilt, that you can't even explain because you're unable to remember what you did. it's a matter of interpretation for now. i also believe that dan heng will in fact have to "die" to have his dragon unsealed, so.

anyway i really love them. blade isn't out there out of pure hatred but he feels hurt and betrayed (by someone so close to him, too!!!), because he's forced to live and probably so, so tired. dan heng isn't just scared and helpless, but also devoured by a guilt he can't exactly explain. they have such a complicated relationship, and chalking it up as abuser x abused is not only reductive but blatantly wrong. i strongly believe that, once unsealed, dan heng could literally fold blade in half with one hand <3

UR MY FAVE CONTENT CREATOR SINCE THE YE OLDEN TGCFMDZS DAYS SO I WANTED TO AT LEAST TRY LOLLL its like my favourite novel of all time and ive been trying to force it upon everyone with little avail, which i dont understand WHYY cuz its SOO GOOOD like it definitely deserves to have the same level of popularity w international fans as MDZS and TGCF had, but for now it remains a hidden gem.......... it's an insanely long novel i will nawt lie (1.5k+ chapters and updating everyday but only like 500smth have been tl'd into english on the fantl site Sky Demon Order[who also post semi-daily]) but its sosososo worth it i prommy..trust me..:smiles: it's a classic 'hero from the past who died a tragic and preventable(?) death reincarnates a hundred years into the future hiding his identity to teach the youth in order to keep the future generation from following in his footsteps and making the same mistakes he did' but without all the stale, predictable, boringness u'd typically expect from that specific genre... it's an incredibly comedic action novel that takes place in ancient china wuxia setting & focuses primarily on found family and those close familial bonds between the main cast behind all the sword fighty action (dont know how to fit this in anywhere else, but its important to me that u know the mc, chung myung, is the main casts grandpa.. hes their peepaw.. he shows affection by beating them on their heads). theres no romance at all, but i would argue that is a SELLING POINT for this novel like i swear it is so refreshing, the found family of it all means soo much to me, so much so i am now going to force it to mean so much to you too(this is a threat).... if u do gaf abt ships tho then maybe the doomed, tragic, best-friends-to-almost lovers tangchung yaoi and the love at first sight iseolsoso yuri might catch ur eye *LOOKS AT YOU* i genuinely really really feel like it would be straight up ur alley, like its definitely smth i feel would at least peak ur interest imo (chung myung, the mc, is probably my fave mc of all time..at eighty two years young, he IS the next peoples princess and i want to hit him with my car and then nurse him back to health just to hit him again.. i feel like u'd enjoy him like that as well).. im so desperate for more eng fans of this novel u cant see me rn but i am biting into a leather belt trying not to sob and cry out loud as im typing this this is so long im so embarrawsed so ill leave u here.. i hope my pleas have touched ur heart in some way and if the novel chapter count is too intimidating, ROTBB also has a webcomic on webtoons by the same name (season two of the webcomic just started ^__^ ) and the art is so good and funny and its a good way to get into the novel without being overwhelmed by the chp count methinks BUT i would definitely consider reading the novel mandatory cuz the webcomic only fills u in on so much.... ok. i hope u managed to get thru this insane wall of text, my bad.. until we meet again...*salutes* *revs up my motorcycle and disappears behind a cloud of smoke but when the dust settles i am laying dead on the floor*

17. What’s something you’ve learned about while doing research for a fic?

omfg when I tell you... I have never done so much random batshit research in my life for a fic... than I have for this current one... I MEAN it. i've gone to a southern california mission (and am planning a second trip for this or next month!), I've read The Art of War TWICE this week, I started studying tarot, and now I know WAY too much about human anatomy (tendons and ligaments, specifically). but one wild thing I've learned is that apparently when people got crucified back in ye olden times, the nails went into their WRISTS and not their PALMS??? so either I didn't pay attention in either of my catholic schools (likely), I forgot about this, (also likely) or they just never taught us that (most likely)

22. Do you know how your fic will end before you start writing?

if I start a fic knowing it's going to be a multi-chapter fic then I usually figure out the ending before I write a single word. so basically yes. I always know the ending. (the only fics that have ever gotten me in trouble with this are the ones that started as one shots and then whoops suddenly there's more chapters! and I never figured an ending out bc I thought I'd already written it! oopsies!)

but I am very good at developing a basically-complete story with anywhere between 2 hours and 2 weeks of brainstorming. I am very fast with it. it's the plot specifics (scenes, settings, b plots, etc) throughout the fic that I usually spend more time on, but fic usually comes to me all at once! idk! I thought for years that that was how everyone came up with fic! but I have learned from my darling friends over the past couple years that... that is absolutely not the case. idk it's a funny little ~party trick~ I have I guess

9. Do you write every day? If you wrote today, share a sentence of what you’ve written!

I WISH! if I had my preferred amount of time to sit down and write fic every day I would have an absolutely terrifying amount of fanfiction complete. (when focused I can easily spit out 30k+ words in a week and it makes me feel both insane and ALIVE) but usually I can't sit down to write unless I have at least five+ hours to write. once I get started writing I literally can not stop and it upsets me INTENSELY if I have to 💔💔💔

8. What project(s) are you currently working on?

I am currently only working on roots! when that first draft is finished I'm going to take a break and finish outlining cotn's novella this summer; this is so that when I finally fix-up roots and it's ready to post I'll be able to redirect my attention to that while roots is being posted (which will happen over the course of 1 year+)

on top of that people dont really like werewolves, yannot theyre kind of feared and hated and driven out of places with pitchforks, etc.

even people with scars are shunned because whether its a bite or a scratch, it could signify you’ve been turned.

this is set in the olden days, think like when Niklaus Mikaelson was human (if you know, you know) somewhere around that time. viking era?

all i have are vibes at the moment, no plot to speak of, but i have this one scene in my head where yoongi and jimin are talking and yoongi touches the scar on his face and says, “this is from the monster who turned me.”

yoongis scar is right on his face so it’s partly by choice that he’s isolated from society and partly because people immediately assume he’s a werewolf because of his scar.

like yoongi views himself as a monster. and it doesn't really help that when jimin is coming to accept he's a werewolf too now that he throws the word monster at yoongi a lot.

so there would be lots of angst😌tension in the village too because of jimin being bitten.

You walked around the masters home quickly dusting anything that needed to be dusted. You huffed when you saw no end to it, dust everywhere in this damned house! You put the duster away, deciding to calm yourself before you broke the duster, again.

You heard your masters arrival and perked up as he came through the door drunk again.

“Master Louis” you greeted as he mumbled something of a response. You sighed going to the man and helping him to his chambers.

“The man didn’t even kill me” he whispered as he collapsed on his bed. You frowned at those words about to ask why he said it, but he was out, fast asleep sprawled out. You sighed covering him with the blankets and heading downstairs. You blew most of the candles out and headed to your small room. It was a proper room, the master favouring your work apparently. A nice room by the back door with a view of the yard. A nice bed, a nice cupboard and somewhere to do your hair with a mirror.

You sighed brushing out the knots from the day before staring at yourself a little. You looked away before any bad thoughts could ruin your mind and slipped out of your outfit. You dressed in some sleep wear and shuffled under the covers.

You awoke early as always, helped the other servants with breakfast before taking it up to the masters room. You knocked but didn’t hear an answer. You sighed letting yourself in and seeing him by his desk with his head in his hands.

“Good morning” you said softly knowing his head would be pounding by the drinks he had. You laid down the platter in front of him, his hair was a mess, his colour faded.

“Morning Y/n” he whispered voice still groggy with sleep.

“Eat and drink some water, it’ll lift your mood” you said and left him with the meal. The question was still on your mind of why he said those words last night. You knew he was broken hearted about his wife and young one, he said he would happily join them if he could, but no one would take his offer.

You opened the curtains noticing some servants a little hesitant today. You asked them a few times but they didn’t answer. You gave up and continued your routine for the day before the master finally came out.

“Ah Master Louis” you greeted him along the hall.

“Y/n” he said exhaustion in his voice.

“Perhaps you should go rest sir?” You asked as he stopped by you.

“Later” he waved you off and you sighed shaking your head at him as he left. No doubt he left to find the drink and some warm hands of a woman in the saloon.

You kept the house in check before night fell. You waited for his return however he didn’t come. You grew a little worried, but he was a grown man. You closed the curtains, blew the candles out besides a few leading from the front door to his room and headed to the baths. You cleaned and dressed before heading to your room and getting out your diary. Silly little thing, however it kept you some what sane from thoughts.

You heard someone entering the house and went to check. You saw your master and another man making you frown at the stranger. The left quickly upstairs and you headed back to your room trying to pay no mind to it.

The next morning came and you prepared the table and set up the meals before the master and his new friend came down.

“Good morning master” you greeted. He avoided you though, avoided your eyes making you frown.

“A new friend?” You asked as the man helped himself to a chair.

“Mr Lestat De Lioncourt” he smiled brightly at you and you nodded your head in a greet. You turned back to your master, confused by his distant behaviour and coldness.

You left the men, you heard a few shouts but you tried to pay no mind.

It seems the Mr Lestat was now a resident in the masters home. Though the man was rather loud and energetic and your master was quite and lost in thoughts most days, well nights. He didn’t eat, didn’t drink either, your nerves grew like your worry and a bad feeling settled in your stomach. He was pale too, strange barley visible blue veins on his face, his eyes cold and piercing. You tried to pay no mind, but as you came back seeing no food had been touched you finally spoke. He never went into the sunlight either, the curtains always draped in the dining room or his room.

“Master you haven’t eaten or drunk anything over the last week” you said hushed eyes worried. He finally stared at you and you flinched slightly, his eyes had lost a lot of emotion, they were cold now despite his pained features.

“I’m fine” he managed his eyes trailing down your neck. You frowned a little flushed before glancing to Mr Lestat. What had this man done to him?

You grabbed the plates when suddenly his hand clamped around your wrist. You gasped in surprise and stared at him. He stared at your wrist intently, his grip firm. You glanced to Lestat who held a small smirk on his face making you frown.

“Master Louis?” You questioned gulping.

He moved, mouth clamping down on your wrist and something breaking your skin. You hissed in pain trying to tug your wrist back, but he was too strong.

“Master Louis!” You said a little desperate as your mind ran.

“Louis!” You snapped and he let go. He panted and you held your wrist close, his eyes were wide and frantic.

“I’m sorry” he said as he quickly left the room. Lestat followed suit and you held your bleeding wrist.

You hurried to the kitchen, cleaned the wound before wrapping the puncture wounds up. Servants gave you funny looks, they had been outside most the time, dancing and singing around the fires saying the house was cursed along with its master.

You rushed to your room heart pounding as you closed the door and locked it. You shook a little as you sat by your desk and stared at the rag on your wrist. You pulled it back seeing the puncture wounds, your mind went to silly thoughts, vampires. Supernatural beings cursed to only drink blood and live forever. You wished their wasn’t so much evidence for that thought, Now you even had a bite on you.

You covered the wound back up, tied it off tightly and bit at your nails in thought. Was Lestat a vampire also? Was that what they even were?

It would explain a lot, the paleness, his eyes, no food or drinks, the servants behaviour.

You laid on your bed staring at the ceiling, mind going to fast for you, your heart calmed a little, but you were clutching your wrist.

Was he a vampire?

They were so cute.... 😍 And sooo funny! Omg too funny lol. 😄😂 Can you just imagine the bloopers they must have on set together? Why won't Sony give us a proper blooper reel lol? 😅 I feel like it's only 5 min long. 🤣
