contender for best thing about living in tacoma: sometimes i look out my window and there's just a seagull. there is a seagull. on the powerline post outside my apartment. a seagull. there's a seagull.

#im not sure what kind but Its A Fucking Seagull #i grew up near the great lakes but in a tiny town so i don't think we had enough Stuff to attract them #you might see them near the dump or something but they were never just Hanging Out By My Fucking House #i don't remember if i saw seagulls when we lived on o'ahu... i was busy being bowled over by all the lizards and myna birds #i think there were quite a few pigeons too #then we lived in las vegas The Pigeon Capital Of The Universe which blew my fucking mind #i realize all of these things i am being awed by are invasive. probably including the lizards #oh google is telling me the SEAGULLS ARE NOT INVASIVE? huh #SEAGULLS IN WASHINGTON STATE ARE PROTECTED BY THE MIGRATORY BIRD TREATY ACT?#good for them #edit can i just specify real quick that i lived on o'ahu because my spouse is hawaiian and was born there and i moved in with them #im not like. a rich tourist whose takeaway was oooh cool invasive birds :)
