Nancy Landgraab (once again) photographed for the cover of Jeunessence Magazine; the monthly print "companion bible" to her lifestyle blog "Jeunesse Toujour". Nancy is the CEO and face of Jeunesse Luxe, a "holistic wellness corporation" spanning several departments: fitness, clean beauty, total health and wellness, skincare, "luxuriously necessary self-care treatments", fashion, culinary guides, and interior design. Issue 7, the July 2023 installment titled "The Dog Days of Summer" focuses on bringing "the quiet coastal luxury of Brindleton Bay in summertime" to her readers.

Moonwood Mill AirBNB: The Interior

Living Room, adjacent "bedroom" to the right of the living room. (Dylan and Erwin's accommodations: the bare mattress on the floor of the downstairs bedroom.) Kitchen is to the left of the living room, with the small bathroom directly kitchen adjacent. Upstairs, two bunk beds on either side of the large, loft-style space across from an old dresser (Eliza, Emilia, and Tomax's accommodations.)

50. What is your favorite thing about them? ERWIN: My favorite thing about Erwin has to be his absolute fearlessness and complete confidence in himself (in a much more healthy way than any of my other characters I think.) What he believes and the things he is interested in are not in any way affected by what someone else might think of him -- he knows he's not crazy, so it doesn't really matter if the rest of the world looks at him as though he is. While a lot of people in the SCKoL universe are trying to figure out who they are and what they want and what their place in the world is, he's one of the very very few that has all that figured out and he doesn't second guess himself in the slightest.

EMILIA: Emilia's best quality has always been, in this story so far, that her innate stubbornness that's emerging more and more is the perfect foil to Damien's thoughtless and reckless behavior -- neither one of them are willing to budge yet, but she is determined that he is going to learn his lesson from all of this, she's not backing down, and that's not something that Damien is clearly used to. Even Minerva will only go so far, and in some ways will even begrudgingly comply with the shenanigans he pulls, she would 100% show up to deal with the aftermath of him getting himself concussed, but Emilia won't. The answer was no immediately because, from listening to Akira's recounting of events, he hadn't learned a damn thing and that won't do. A staged apology without change to back it up isn't something she's willing to accept and she will wait it out as long as she has to. She's the perfect storm of bullheadedness and patience.

SOMEONE OF MY CHOICE: (DYLAN) I haven't gotten to talk about Dylan yet but since Erwin's on the list, it makes sense to bring up something about his other half too, the "straight man" (comedic definition and even more comedic choice of words) playing opposite Erwin's more eccentric behavior. His much more reserved, soft-spoken, and stoic demeanor is a perfectly placid surface covering up some pretty tempestuous waters in the depths -- namely, that despite Erwin not giving a damn what other people think about him or say about him, Dylan very much cares and the one thing he will tolerate less than Emilia tolerates an insincere apology is anyone feeling comfortable enough around him to say anything about Erwin that's less than gushingly flattering. Make fun of his oddities, try to poke holes in Erwin's confidence in himself, or even worse, call him a nut, and someone would find out all too quickly that even-keeled, sweet Dylan is not a guy you want to piss off.

microscope for Eliza and Erwin and wildcard!

microscope: zoom in -- describe the little, insignificant details about an OC. (Eliza and Erwin) Both twins are left handed but can't use left handed scissors or computer mouses if they're on the left side. Erwin likes plain Cap'n Crunch cereal in his peanut butter sandwiches instead of jelly, he hates jelly and peanut butter as a combination. Eliza prefers peanut butter and banana slices to jelly, though she doesn't share Erwin's outright hatred of the PBJ and will eat it if offered one. Eliza's favorite season is winter and her brother is the polar opposite-- loves the summer and the heat. Both Eliza and Erwin sleep with one entire leg outside the blanket, but it's different legs: Eliza sticks her left leg out, Erwin sticks out his right. Eliza double and triple checks that the front door is locked and the alarm is set before being able to go to bed because Erwin is a chronic sleepwalker. The strangest place Erwin has ever regained consciousness after sleepwalking is an abandoned mini-golf course not far from their childhood home in Strangerville. Eliza and Erwin were both homeschooled until attending UBrite.

I'm going to pick the entire Charm Family for this one and give you a little backstory: Within the magical community in the SCKoL universe, the Charm Family's gilded legacy that Minerva is extremely proud to have married into is very strongly tied to relic-hunting and the founding of the Magical Artifact Archaeology department for the Hall of Arcane Knowledge (this will get brought up in story soon but not to any great detail cause that's going to be gradually built upon as I go. Also if you noticed in posts that there's a lot of relics and archaeology related items in Minerva's house, that's why!) Minerva used to be Paxton's right hand and faithful assistant as a Junior Archaeologist on her husband's field team that Dr. Charm led, though she immediately abandoned the job when he passed away in 2018. Minerva now works as the Chief Librarian at the Hall of Arcane Knowledge in the Porphyral Vale (my renaming of the Magic Realm/Magic HQ because why is it just called the Magic Realm with Magic HQ instead of given badass fantasy inspired names for both of those places) so she still has a career of sorts, but at least where she is emotionally right now, she can never go back to this thing she used to share a passion for with Paxton and neither of his surviving children are sure they want to pick up the mantle either-- it's also the reason his office behind the house is now overgrown and boarded up. Damien was just as deeply affected as the rest of the family by Paxton's death, as the patriarch was so beloved, and it caused some deep-seated issues with abandonment that now rears its ugly head behaviorally as him doing things that are dangerous and reckless.
