As one of the Endless, he had a job to do, and after disappearing for a hundred years, Dream couldn't take a day off. But even an Endless could get hungry so while he was visiting one of the many dreams, he saw some cookies the man had planned to eat.

Carefully and while the man was away trying to get something else, Dream grabbed the plate filled with cookies and began to eat them, he just didn't expect the man would turn around before Dream could leave.
