SAS Red Notice 2021 full - https://sas-red-notice-eng.blogspot.com/
Rating: R (language throughout | strong / bloody violence) Genre: Action Original language: English (United Kingdom) Directed by Magnus Martens Producer: Laurence Malkin, Allan Niblo, Joe Simpson Author: Laurence Malkin Release date (streaming): March 16, 2021 Duration: 2h 3m Production Co: Altitude Films A SAS agent finds his romantic short vacation in Paris cut short when a high-quality mercenary target kidnaps a train in the Channel Tunnel.
The market for hard-hitting British action thrillers was rather cornered by James Bond. It's rare for the UK to have really solid action spectacle without Ian Flemings 007 joking his way through the middle and making it feminine. With that in mind, director Magnus Martens' SAS: Red Notice feels like a rare and rather welcome animal. It's the kind of film Hollywood can easily produce - with everyone from Jason Statham and Vin Diesel to Nicolas Cage and Liam Neeson - but this film has a decidedly British feel to it.
Outlander star Sam Heughan - often suggested as the main competitor for 007 in the future - leads the film as Special Forces agent Tom Buckingham. Interestingly, he's a spoiled, classy boy who grew up in a mansion, which makes him far from being a Bruce Willis-style everyone in a bloody vest. After participating in a raid on a group of mercenaries, he takes a much-needed break by kidnapping his doctor partner Sophie (Hannah John-Kamen) to Paris for a romantic marriage proposal. Unfortunately, he got really bad luck when his cross-channel train was kidnapped in the tunnel by the psychopathic mercenary leader Grace (Ruby Rose).
It's a pretty standard action setup, but Martens makes the most of it. The script by Laurence Malkin and Chad Thumann - adapted from the novel by ex-soldier Andy McNab - is elegantly drawn and combines exciting set pieces and crunching action with solid emotional beats. After more than two hours, there is no doubt that the film is a little limp and overly long, but it is never anything other than outstanding to watch, which makes up for a multitude of sins. It helps that Heughan and Rose form a dynamite pair of leads. Heughan is just as charismatic as he has dedicated himself to the action sequences. He wears scenes of polite bravery and bruising with the kind of serenity that suggests he would actually make a terrific 007. It's not easy to sympathize with such an obvious classy boy, but Heughan manages to do it in his scenes with John-Kamen and a brief bond he shares with a young passenger on the train. He's also good at comedy, including a scene with perhaps the most surprising thing ever seen on the floor of a train toilet. Or maybe not. Anyone who's used the loo on a long distance Pendolino is likely to have some stories.
Rose is a perfect sparring partner for Heughan, both physically and verbally. An argument between the two in act three is perfectly choreographed and encompasses the grubby realism of facial claws and swinging limbs rather than the hyper-stylized punches and shots of other action films. Red Notice is a film ready to go its own way in terms of visual spectacle. A downright fallible hero meets his match in a shrewd, ruthless opponent who will never stay down and give up.
However, when it moves its focus away from Heughan and Rose, the film more than stuck a little. Most importantly, there is an overarching political conspiracy involving Ray Panthakis Prime Minister and Andy Serkis as a corrupt military guy too complex and labyrinthine for his own good. These extended sojourns in back room intrigues are much less exciting than the events on the train and only serve to furnish the film with furniture it doesn't need. Its bite is much stronger than its bark, but it ends up barking too long. Fortunately, it won't be long before the movie is back with Heughan, Rose, and the heavy-hitting action core at the heart of this film. Given the rather variable quality of Sky Cinema's original excursions, this is a pleasant surprise. Heughan, Barbara Broccoli, and the Bond team could certainly make it a lot worse.
SAS: Red Notice is the type of action film you'd want to dig into its narrative and characters. There are tons of gunshots, bangs, bangs - don't worry - but there is also a lot of emotional engagement between the players and a story that has a lot more gray areas than just "good versus bad". The film struggles in a few areas, but its intent gives it at least a few points. You can see what it's trying to do and you want it to pin it down. Will it get there or not? Well let's sum it up.
In the beginning, we believe our narrative will follow Grace Lewis (Ruby Rose) and her family - "lovingly" known as The Black Swans. We're not going to spoil any specific details, but some actions in about ten minutes make it clear that the Lewis family are not the heroes of this story. No harm, no foul there. We start with antagonists all the time. The problem is that the story frames them as protagonists before things go sideways. The water just gets muddy as the story progresses. Once we have witnessed some unfortunate deeds committed by the swans in Georgia (not our Georgia, the other) we meet Tom Buckingham III (Sam Heughan). Now it's pretty clear that Tom is our dashing hero. He has everything the stereotypical espionage protagonist has to offer, right down to devilish charm. He will become his lover, Dr. Sophie Hart (Hannah John-Kamen), despite the ocean of differences between them, make a suggestion. But first he has to defeat those annoying swans. It's a quick entry and exit, despite the profile of those they are supposed to capture. Without a few sacrifices (one of which is very important to Grace), things go smoothly and our ignorant hero returns to Sophie's hospital.
He really loves her - a refreshing aspect of the movie - but she struggles with the fact that he doesn't seem to find any human response to anything in the world but her. Blinded to her concern and convinced of his bragging rights, Tom takes Sophie to France by train.
Of course, their move happens to be the same one that Grace and the rest of the Swans attempt to kidnap for reasons we won't discuss in a spoiler-free review. What I will confirm is that they really had no intention of meeting Tom or ruining his proposal. Talk about a crazy coincidence.

Summary: To understand his husband better, Illumi studies up on Lolita and Lolita fashion
Tags: Implied Child SA, Lolita, Lolita fashion, Married Couple
AN: This story will be triggering to some. I also understand the difference between Lolita(the book) and Lolita fashion, this is just a story. The second chapter is still a WIP, so it may be darker and more graphic than this chapter. This one is Illumi’s POV, and some implied stuff.
AO3
______________________
Illumi scrolls through his laptop. He’s in his bedroom at his desk in the apartment he shares with Hisoka. When he left home a few months ago, Hisoka was kind enough to open up his home to his partner in Heaven’s Arena. They were married, for killing reasons, his parents finding no fault in him living with his so-called husband.
He had to bring Hisoka home by the first of the year to meet everyone.
 It is June now.
He continues to scroll, wanting to understand his husband. He looks at the petticoats, of different shapes and sizes for certain dresses available on the site, or any other site that sells Lolita items. He doesn’t know if he is more sweet or dark.
He has been watching videos online to understand the topic of this fashion. That the hairstyle does not matter, it is more about being presentable. He enjoys having a tangle free head, but other than that, he doesn’t put the effort into styling it another way. Then there are the shoes, he’ll have to buy those too.
 Dark.
He thinks a dark Lolita would be his preferred style,
 Yet….
It’s for Hisoka. Sweet may be the way to go for now.
He saw a pattern with balloons, and clowns and it was red like his husband’s current color. He was too tall for an OP, so a JSK may be the better option unless he finds a seller to commission a dress for him.
Illumi sighs. His eyes are starting to hurt from all of the thinking, and searching he’s been doing for the past week. He should take a break, but he wants this settled, and he doesn’t have any killings scheduled. He has the time.
Straining his ears for a moment, he notices silence from his husband’s room. He must be done. Looking at the clock, it reads 10pm.
 Right on time.
Getting up from his desk, he walks into the kitchen. He’s in a nightshirt with no bottoms as his bare feet slide against the linoleum. When Hisoka is active, he’ll stay in his room. The living room has a perfect echo of the activities in Hisoka’s room. So loud.
Hisoka likes to draw it out. Though he hasn’t noticed it being more than three hours, depending on his person for the evening. His weekly ritual.
Illumi pours himself a drink of water. He leans on the counter as he drinks, continuing to think about his current project. He thinks a commission would be best. He’s read about the long wait for a dress being more than a month sometimes. He’ll find a seller that can do it in a week.
 A thump is heard.
 Then a door opens.
Hisoka strolls out, no shirt, his curls ungelled with plaid bottoms and socks. “Illumi.” He greets.
 Illumi nods. “Hisoka.”
“Illumi, I’ve had a wonderful evening. I hope all is well with you or was I a bother?” He grins, walking into Illumi’s space.
The brunette puts his glass down on the counter. “You were not.”
“Good, good.” He coos. “Let me know if it ever is.”
“I doubt that I will. It does not concern me that you indulge in what makes you happy.”
“But we are married, are we not?”
Illumi raises an eyebrow. “Why state the obvious?” Illumi holds up his hand, the ring Hisoka bought for the both of them shines in the kitchen light. “Yes, we are.”
Hisoka clasped both of his hands around Illumi’s hand, bringing it to his lips. “You always have the softest skin Illumi. I await the day we can consummate our nuptials.” He kisses his fingers.
That’s something Illumi doesn’t understand about Hisoka. Why does he want to sleep with him so much? They are married for killing reasons, yet Hisoka will treat him in a way that his Father does for his Mother. Hisoka wants to be in the same bed together, but he refuses to sleep in a bed with as many guests who have touched those sheets. It’s odd to him.
That’s why he read the book called Lolita. He wants to understand how Hisoka ticks. He usually has to do research when preparing for a kill, so reading up on what type of person Hisoka is the first step.
After finishing the book, he understood it somewhat, and by a chance of reading tags, he found the fashion as well. So many people dress in juvenile ways. One can be juvenile at any age, he has learned. He wants his dress to fit him well, the shoes, and the stockings. He wants to present himself to Hisoka when every piece is together. He found a Lolita checklist of how to dress the part, and he aims to be perfect, like he was trained to be.
“Why do you want to sleep with me when you have your visitors?” Hisoka has taken to kissing up his arms. It reminds him of that American movie, the Addams Family. Particularly the male spouse, Gomez.
“I only touch them because I cannot touch you. Their skin is nowhere near this perfect. I thought only those of youth had skin this soft until I met you and learned.” He lays a kiss on Illumi’s elbow.
Illumi shivers. He gives Hisoka free range to touch him. He has grown up seeing his Father touch his Mother without asking first. He can do the same for Hisoka.
He has heard his Mother deny his Father sex.
Hisoka reaches Illumi’s shoulder, then nudges their nose together, a silent question. Illumi tilts his head slightly up. Allowing Hisoka a small peck of their lips. “Thank you.” Hisoka purrs. He curls a finger around a loc of Illlumi’s hair before letting it fall away. “I’m going to finish cleaning before it starts to smell. I’ll see you in the morning.”
“Alright.” He watches Hisoka leave the kitchen, disappearing down the hallway.
 Illumi lightly touches his lips.
He hopes Hisoka brushes his teeth before kissing him.
Letting his hand fall, he grabs his glass and goes over to the sink. A quick rinse before placing it on the drying rack. He goes back to his room.
He knows what to do now.
 ___________
     2 weeks later
He’s in the elevator going down for his parcel. It takes time from the 234 floor, so he sometimes hears an interesting bit of news.
A man with green hair. “That latest casualty.” The man points to the poster on the wall. “Every time a kid seems to make it to the 200th level, they go missing.”
“How long has this been happening? This one looks around ten.” A woman named Enisuki. Illumi only knows her name because her children have a very foul murderous aura. She’s been widowed twice in the past year.
“I’d say around the last six months, consistently, but this is Heaven’s Arena. People always go missing.”
“So sad. Where are their parents when these children are going missing?” She shakes her head shamefully. She turns to Illumi. “Oh dear, how are you darling?”
Illumi’s focus was on watching the city through the glass as they descended. He looks up. “I am fine.”
She giggles. “That’s good to hear. Have you heard about all the children going missing?”
 “I have.”
 “Isn’t it terrible?”
Illumi blinks. Not sure how to answer. Was it terrible? “I suppose.”
“I don’t know how I would be if one of my little darlings went missing.” She wipes a fake tear from her face.
The green haired man laughs. “I doubt your little      darlings     could make it to the 200th floor.”
She quickly leaves Illumi’s side to yell at the man.
She stays distracted long enough for Illumi to get off.
At the parcel service, it’s everything he has ordered. One big box, and multiple small ones. A part of him feels what people would call excitement. He signs everything on the dotted line, and is about to turn away when the worker speaks up.
“We have a package for your husband, do you want to take it as well?”
He agrees to take the box. He signs for it as well.
In the elevator, he looks over Hisoka’s package, which has no return address.
He doesn’t think he has seen Hisoka order anything since living with the man. He’ll leave it on the kitchen table, and forget about it.
 It doesn’t pertain to him.
Once back in his apartment, discards the box like he said he would, and continues on to his room.
Hisoka is out at a fight. No telling when he’ll be home.
He sits down on his bedroom floor, beginning to open up a box, one by one.
The seller was able to make him a clown inspired OP. Upon sight, the seller was true to the design she first showed Illumi. The shoes were red with a box on the strap. He settled on blue over the knee stockings.
A small clown hat originally came with the dress, but Illumi asked for a white bareet to match.
He lays everything out on the bed.
 It looks very nice.
From the puff balls, to the clown bears, and the designs of the balloon.
 He’ll leave a tip.
He has no idea how HIsoka will react, but that's the whole point of this project. He has an idea of putting everything perfectly together, and walking into Hisoka’s room for his opinion of his outfit. Will Illumi look juvenile enough? He thinks so. On some message boards, he read about people dropping their age as well when they dress like this. Age five, six or 13, and playing like that age.
He taps his chin in thought. What would be a good age for him? He’s 26 now, would 12 be young enough or should he go lower? 10 maybe? LIke that missing boy.
A thump takes him out of his thoughts. He takes a step into the hallway, and listens.
 Thump.
Walking into the living room, the package is still there, so no HIsoka as of yet.
 Thump.
Back up to the hallway, he goes into Hisoka’s room. The thumping is louder.
He rarely goes into Hisoka’s room, but the sound is distracting him too much, so he’ll deal with whatever it is quickly. He turns the knob, and the thumping stops for a moment, and he hears shuffling.
The door creaks the farther in he goes. He shuts it behind him. Looking around, he sees blood on the carpet. Following the trail to the other side of the bed, a cry meets him.
 The missing child.
     Huh.
“Please help me sir.” The child cries. “That man told me he would feed me but I’ve been in his room for so long.”
Illumi feels nothing for the boy. “Do you want food?”
“I want to leave!” He cries harder. The boy's feet and arms are bound with Hisoka’s gum.
“But you said Hisoka said he would feed you, we have food in the kitchen.”
“I just want to leave. He–he touched me a lot last night. I was bleeding. It hurts.” The snot follows.
Illumi pauses. This boy may be able to answer a few of his questions. “Does Hisoka like when you bleed?” Illumi squats down in front of the boy.
The boy pauses in his cries. Illumi hopes he can help. “He–uh.” The boy sniffs. His body was shaking, as if relieving a bad memory. “I don’t know, but he never stopped when I saw blood on my leg. He bit me, and kissed me.”
 Hisoka does like to kiss.
Illumi tilts his head. “Did you enjoy it?”
“NO! I want to go. I don’t even know how my legs and feet are stuck. That’s why I was hitting the floor when I woke up. They must be numb, and I need to wake them up.” He says frantically.
So the boy doesn’t know nen yet.
 Pathetic.
Why would Hisoka find interest in this boy?
“Please help me go sir.” He pleads.
“Even if I did, I cannot release the nen placed on you. You would not be able to go far.”
The boy wipes his noses on his oversized shirt. “Nen? What’s that?”
“You cannot see, so there is no point in explaining.” Illumi stands, the child bores him.
“SIr! Don’t go!” The child cries, as Illumi walks closer to the door.
 He’s so loud.
Illumi throws a dart into the boy’s neck, and he drops.
He won’t kill unless paid, so he knocks the child out for a few more hours. When Hisoka comes home, he can deal with it.
Opening the door, he can only thank his training for not jumping at seeing Hisoka on the other side. “You are back.”
HIsoka is frowning. There are tears in his outfit. Looking over Illumi’s shoulder. “Is he dead?” He asks in lieu of his more merry greetings.
 Illumi shakes his head.
 HIsoka perks back up. “Excellent.”
“Did you see your package on the table?” Illumi moves out of the way for Hisoka to enter. The clown begins stripping off his clothes.
“I did.” He sits on the edge of his bed to take his socks off. “I bought it for you.”
Illumi's hand is still holding the doorknob. “Me? Why?”
Hisoka giggles. “Think of it as a late wedding gift.”
Illumi doesn’t know how to respond. Why does it matter? Now he’ll have to find something for Hisoka. Well after this experiment, he might know more than enough of what to buy him. “I am going to my room.”
Hisoka nods in acknowledgement. “Let me know what you think at dinner.”
Illumi closes the door behind him. He walks over to the table, he picks up the package, and goes into his room. He plans on wearing the outfit at dinner, so it can be a win-win for both of them.
Inside, it sits at his desk. He sharpens the nails on his hands, and slices it open.
He drops the box upon sight.
 How?
 How did he find out?
Illumi uses a secure internet outside of the one Hisoka pays for…..
The one his family uses for business. There could be no way.
Shock tickles at the back of his neck.
 It was a petticoat.

🌸Lululemon🌸
So I’m a huge fan of lululemon, particularly their leggings and I’ve went to two different stores to nab them. Here are my tips/tricks into getting them☺️
🍋 Go at a really busy point of the day, I would usually say about 12-3 on weekends and 3-6 on weekdays. These are when they are booming. check google it’ll give the busiest times when you search a specific store/shopping center/mall
🍋Depending on the store size is how lucky you’ll be, as well as combining it with busy times. All stores regardless of size have 1-2 girls standing to help people, and girls at the register. if you’re in a smaller store this won’t be good. The SAs tend to stand near the dressing rooms so they can be unlocked.
🍋Cameras are the tiny black domes and are placed masterfully in the corners of the store and near the bras. (From what I’ve seen) I have no knowledge if they are actively watched or not. I always assume they are. The good thing about this is that lulu tends to have a lot of free space so they have random tables with shorts or accessories that can work as a blind spot. The reason they work is because it’s not a set structure of the building so putting a camera in a space that is usually empty isn’t ideal.
🍋Methods will depend on how busy the store is or not. I like to on floor conceal what I’m going to take. So that may mean I wrap the leggings inside my jacket or drop them inside my bag while looking in the clothes racks. I grab decoys and head into the dressing room. DO NOT expect to walk into the dressing room with 5 pairs of leggings and a couple decoys. They will hold extra pairs of the same item, ESPECIALLY leggings. I have SEEN this happen to other girls holding a couple pairs and they can only take in one at a time. Your VERY best bet is to on floor conceal. The only way I could see you getting past bringing in multiple leggings is if you bring a friend to grab a couple pairs while you’re in the dressing room to “find the right size” and that is without the SA counting or noticing.
🍋Tags are hook, they are also a bit finnicky, I may explain this wrong but you should be bending your hook UP, to the top of the tag and then turn it. Also the pin is metal and you have to pull it out, it won’t just fall out. I grab the hook from the bottom with my one hand and pull the pin while I’m detagging. These tags also make clicking noises so I would cough to hide them. So again remember to grab the pin from the bottom and pull, then hold you hook bending up. If you do not bend the hook you will not get the pin. The hooks they sell online are not the same thickness. So please bend UP with the hook tag.
🍋RFID’s are also hidden in the price tag. I have personally forgotten to rip them and nothing ever happened but to deactivate them, cut or bend the price tag till it snaps. (They are made out of hard cardboard)
🌸Extra: Dress rich and sporty it really helps because then the SA’S will leave you alone more. Also please take your hangers with you, seriously DONT leave them, it’s a HUGE red flag and they will go after you. I would not suggest putting an article of different clothing on a hanger either. These are young girls but they are still pretty dedicated.
Hope you guys enjoyed☺️🌸🍋

Tri-Arame: Cat Shelter Day
Primary Pairing Trio: YuuAyuSetsu Words: ~2.9k Rating: G Time Frame: Sometime after college Story Arc: Stand Alone
----------
Author’s Note: Alright, one more before I delve too deep into classes that I forget to surface...
----------
“Ayumu! You’re here!” Yuu greeted cheerfully from the wash station.
“Uehara-san, welcome.” The young woman beside her also greeted. Ayumu recognized her as one of the production company’s newer idols. “Thank you for agreeing to help us today.”
“I’m glad I could make it.” Ayumu responded. “It’s good to see you again, Hasegawa-san.”
“We have a shirt and gift bag for you. I’ll go get it if you want to take my place.”
“Alright.”
With that Hasegawa headed for the door.
“I’d stand up and hug you, but…” Yuu motioned with wet elbows full of suds without taking her hands off the cat she was bathing.
“That’s alright.” Ayumu smiled in return and leaned down for a quick kiss. “Sorry I’m late.”
“No worries. Yuu assured. “There’s still plenty of time to help out before the show.”
“Where’s Setsuna-chan?”
“Fetching the next round of victims.”
“Eh?”
Yuu chuckled. “Not all of the cats have been as cooperative as this handsome fella.” She patted the cat in question. “Right, Tasukeau?”
The cat meowed in response to what Ayumu assumed was his name.
“Oh.”
“Want to rinse him with me?”
“Sure.”
“Alright, go ahead and grab that sprayer and start spraying.”
Ayumu stepped around her kneeling girlfriend and found the nozzle in question. Gently, she squeezed the trigger, but only a dribble of water came out.
Yuu laughed. “Don’t worry, even if you squeeze it all the way, not much is going to come out. We don’t want to be blasting these poor kitties away with fire hoses. Many are scared enough as it is.”
“Oh, I see.” Ayumu directed the flow of water onto the animal in the tub.
“That’s a good boy.” Yuu offered gentle placations as she ran her hands over wet fur to squeegee out the shampoo. “Alright, that should be good.” She said after a moment. “Let’s get you dried up.” She lifted the cat up to a nearby counter where several towels were waiting. “So, how was work?”
“Eh?” Ayumu took a moment to realize Yuu was no longer addressing the cat. “Oh, it was fine, though it was the reason I was late.”
“But you still got off early, so…” Yuu patted the cat down with one of the towels.
“True. And I signed a new contract.”
“Congratulations!” Yuu looked up with a smile. “We should totally celebrate, though probably tomorrow as we’re already getting dinner here.”
The meal to which Yuu had referred was in association with the event they were attending. The production company where Yuu and Setsuna were employed had a fairly extensive volunteer program ranging from helping up and coming school idol groups, free performances at a local hospital and charity fund raising events like this one. Ayumu wasn’t quite clear on how the idol agency became involved with a local cat shelter, but it apparently had something to do with the significant other of a senior employee.
“Ayumu-san! You made it!”
Ayumu turned to see her other girlfriend approaching with a wide smile on her face and a pet carrier in each hand. And a bandage on her cheek? Well, she could ask in a moment, after a proper greeting.
As soon as their lips met, a loud yowl sounded from one of the carriers.
“Setsuna-chan, what happened?” Ayumu asked as she pulled away from their kiss.
“Huh? What do you…?” Setsuna seemed confused for a moment until the redhead reached up to touch her cheek. “Oh, that.” She chuckled sheepishly. “Oikaesu-san and I had a bit of a disagreement about if she would go into her carrier. We ended up deciding it was best if I just carried her in my arms.”
“Are you alright?” Ayumu asked, still concerned. “Will if affect your performance later?”
“I’ll be fine.” Setsuna assured. “And the concert is going to be fairly casual. We’ll be keeping the volume pretty low so as not to disturb the animals. No special effects. And I’m not even changing out of this outfit.”
“Oh?” Ayumu leaned back to take a better look.
The professional idol was wearing what looked more like workout attire than anything one would typically wear on stage for a performance. Her t-shirt matched Yuu’s; simple black with the event’s logo on the front and the shelter and agency’s on the back. Below, she wore a pair of red shorts and black leggings not unlike those she used for practice back in high school.
And while Setsuna wasn’t soaked in suds like Yuu, with all the cat hair standing out against the black, there was no question she had been busy with activities not normally associated with idols. However, Ayumu couldn’t help wondering if a better color could have been chosen given the tasks she knew would be assigned to the volunteers, one that would better hide all the shed hairs. Hair…
“What about your hair?” Ayumu asked. “Do you need anyone to help you with that before you perform?”
Yuu tried, unsuccessfully to hold in a laugh and ended up snorting.
“I hadn’t planned on it.” Setsuna admitted before smiling. “But I won’t turn down an offer from my favorite stylist.”
The meowing became more insistent and the cat within wrapped a paw around a bar of the door and began to rattle it.
“But first, we have more work to do.” Setsuna continued, crouching to set the crates on the floor as the meowing became more insistent. “Alright, I’ll let you out, Seiiki-sa… Kyaa!”
A grey blur leaped out of the container, up to Setsuna’s shoulder as she fell on her rump. Then, using her as a springboard, the cat launched itself toward Ayumu.
“Are you alright, Setsuna-chan?” Yuu asked.
“I’m fine.” Setsuna dismissed. “Just wasn’t expecting that.” She leaned back to look, upside down, at the girl standing above her. “She must have really wanted to see you, Ayumu-san.”
“Can you blame her?” Yuu laughed.
“Not in the slightest.” Setsuna replied with a giggle of her own as she pushed herself up to a kneeling position.
“Good catch, by the way, Ayumu.”
“T-thanks…” Ayumu responded, deciding not to point out how much practice both of her girlfriends had given her over the years with their regular use of flying tackle hugs as greetings.
“I think she likes you.”
“You may be right.” Ayumu agreed as the cat, Seiiki as Setsuna had called her, shifted into a more comfortable position in her arms and began purring loudly.
“Shall we get you in your crate, Tasukeau?” Yuu spoke to the cat she had finished drying. “Setsuna-chan can bring you back then. You’re all cleaned up and handsome and ready for adoption.”
Tasukeau meowed and bunted into Yuu’s hand, earning a giggle from her.
For her part, Seiiki was quite adorable, Ayumu noted as she took a moment to inspect the cat in her arms. And with grey fur, darker grey stripes and a slight hint of purple tint to otherwise slate colored eyes, she looked a bit familiar for some reason. Was she used for one of the online photos advertising the event?
“Alright,” Setsuna said, reaching for the door of the other carrier “I don’t think we have to worry about Kyuuka-san doing the same thing… Here girl, it’s alright. Come on out.” She reached into the crate.
Tasukeau, Oikaesu, Seiiki and Kyuuka? What kind of strange names were those? People usually named their cats things like Momo, Kuro, Shiro or Fuku. Wait…
“Ne, Setsuna-chan.” Ayumu spoke up.
“Mm?” The raven-haired girl glanced up from her efforts to coax the second cat from its carrier.
“Were these cats named before this event?”
“I think some had names. Yuu-san’s been coming up with some for those that lacked them.”
I should have guessed. Ayumu thought to herself as she glanced over at the twin-tailed girl still cooing at the cat she was guiding into a carrier.
“What?” Yuu asked, sensing the attention, and looked over. “They’ve been responding well. And some I just couldn’t help myself.” She offered a slightly strange smile.
Some? As far as Ayumu was concerned, Yuu couldn’t help herself with all of them. She couldn’t blame her girlfriend, of course. The animals she had seen thus far were adorable.
“There we go.” Setsuna said softly. “That’s a good girl, Kyuuka-san.”
Ayumu turned her attention back to her other girlfriend to see her holding a cat with fur the color of cherry blossoms.
“This is Ayumu-san.” Setsuna explained as though the cat could understand. “She’s very kind, like Yuu-san.” She turned. “You remember Yuu-san, right?”
Kyuuka locked her gaze on the twin-tailed girl walking toward them and reached out a paw. She stretched out so much that Setsuna had to shift her grip to keep hold.
“Shall we trade, Setsuna-chan?” Yuu asked, indicating the carrier in her hand before setting it down. When the other girl nodded, she held out her arms. “C’mere, Kyuuka.” She giggled as the cat curled into the crook of her elbow.
“Looks like they’ve chosen who they want to bathe them.” Setsuna said with a smile. “I’ll bring Tasukeau-san back and return to assist you two after.”
“Alright.” Yuu agreed before turning to Ayumu. “Let’s get these two washed.”
Ayumu nodded her agreement and made her way to the tubs.
----------
Ayumu scanned the tables for her girlfriend as she entered the tent. She had just finished styling Setsuna’s hair for her performance and now needed to find her seat in the audience.
“Uehara-san?” a familiar voice caught her attention.
“Fujii-san, hello.” She greeted.
“If you’re looking for Takasaki-san, she’s reserved a seat for you at Table 3, up by the stage.” The production agency employee motioned in that direction. “You’ll have a good view of Yuki-san from there.” She offered a knowing smile.
“Thank you.” Ayumu returned a smile of her own before making her way through the gathering crowd.
Now moving in the right direction, it didn’t take her long to spot green-tipped twin-tails.
“Yuu-chan.” She called as she got closer.
“Ah, Ayumu, there you are.” Yuu looked up with a grin. “Sorry, I was going to watch for you and wave you over, but, I kinda got distracted…”
Ayumu had already noticed the implicated distractions, but sighed when they were directly pointed out. Kyuuka was asleep, curled up in Yuu’s lap while Seiiki was playing with a fishing rod style toy as Yuu flitted it around her chair. Both cats were secured with body harnesses attached to leashes Yuu held in her other hand.
“Really, Yuu-chan? You brought them out here?”
Upon hearing her voice, Seiiki turned her attention toward the redhead. She dropped the toy she had caught and trotted a few steps over.
“Oh, uhm…” Yuu seemed to be estimating the length of the leash before she shrugged and dropped it, just in time as Seiiki made her leap. “She really likes you, Ayumu.” She laughed.
“So it seems.” Ayumu shifted the purring cat into one arm so she could retrieve the end of the leash with the other. “But will they be alright out here with everything?”
“I dunno.” Yuu admitted. “Maybe? I just couldn’t help it once I saw other folks doing so.” She motioned to some of the other event patrons.
“Well, this is an adoption event in addition to fund raising.” Ayumu pointed out. “They’re probably reserving their favorites.”
“Yeah, I thought so too.”
Wait… “Were you thinking about taking these two?”
“A bit.” Yuu smiled sheepishly. “More than a bit, actually. I was going to ask you and Setsuna-chan first, before making anything official. But on the chance you two agreed, I thought I’d pick out my own favorites.”
“I think I can guess Setsuna-chan’s answer.”
“Yeah, probably. So that leaves…”
Well, it wasn’t like the three of them were hurting for finances. And they had plenty of room. Ayumu knew she could trust Yuu and Setsuna to do their fair share of the additional chores that caring for pets would require. And as Ayumu seemed to be the first one home more often than not these days, she wouldn’t oppose the extra company. Not that Sasuke was bad company, but he wasn’t exactly the kind of pet that would greet their owner at the door or that one would want to cuddle with for a nap. So…
“Alright.”
“Thanks, Ayumu. You’re the best.”
As if to thank her as well, Seiiki turned her head and licked Ayumu’s cheek.
“Geh?” Ayumu startled at the unexpected sensation. It was nothing like a dog’s tongue; far more dry and a little like… sandpaper?
Yuu laughed. “Seiiki has definitely claimed you as her human, Ayumu.”
Ayumu could feel heat in her cheeks and was about to reply when a raven-haired woman stepped up on stage. She recognized her as one of the founding members of the idol agency and she was probably about to give a welcoming speech. As such, Ayumu fell quite and settled into her seat as the night’s program began.
There were a couple speeches thanking everyone for their hard work and donations, praise for the shelter and reminders that there were plenty of cats up for adoption. Then food was served as the guests were serenaded by several idols, the latter of which were the main attraction as far as Ayumu and Yuu were concerned.
----------
“Oooo~” Setsuna seemed to be barely able to keep her volume down as she took a seat next to Ayumu. “You guys look so~ cute like that! Did you pick those two for adoption? Are we getting adorable kitties?”
Yes, that was the reaction Ayumu had expected. She smiled and nodded.
“Yup!” Yuu also confirmed. “Ayumu gave the OK, but we need to ask you as well.”
“Of course!” Setsuna bounced a little in her seat. “Those were even two of my favorites.”
“Of?” Yuu repeated, picking out the word choice.
“Well there was another one that was such a sweetheart.” Setsuna explained. “She meowed to get my attention each time I passed her kennel as I was moving them all back and forth. I couldn’t help pausing to let her pet herself on my hand each time. I would have done more, but I could barely get my hand through the bars as it was. But she was just so cute…”
Her expression changed and she glanced down. “I wish I had thought to point her out to you two ahead of time. One as cute as her has probably been adopted already…”
Well, what was one more? Ayumu thought to herself. “Do you want to check to see if she’s still there?” She asked aloud.
“Can I?” Setsuna looked up with expression like a child given permission to go wild in a candy store.
“Well, these two seem to have chosen their favorites among us.” Ayumu pointed out. “Seems fair that you become one’s favorite as well.”
“And you’ve obviously already bonded with her.” Yuu added.
Setsuna looked ready to bolt but glanced up at the stage. “Uhm, after Manami-san’s done."
“Which one was she, by the way?” Yuu asked.
“I brought her to one of the other bathing teams as you were busy.” Setsuna said. “So you didn’t see her or…” She blinked as a thought occurred to her. “Or name her…” She glanced at the two cats sitting in her girlfriends’ laps. “We should name her Yasashii. It would suit her so well, and it would complete the set.”
Set? Ayumu felt like she was missing something, though Yuu’s expression indicated she understood. She was about to inquire, but before she could open her mouth, the Manami’s song was over and Setsuna was gone.
“Well, here’s hoping Yasashii is still there.” Yuu said, watching Setsuna retreat back into the shelter.
“Mm.” Ayumu hummed her agreement, though pursed her lips in thought. She felt torn. It was probably the most respectful to stay for the rest of the performance, but part of her really wanted to check on Setsuna, to either celebrate or console, depending on her findings.
For her part, Yuu stabbed the last morsels on her plate and shoved them in her mouth. She chewed quickly, swallowed and poured half of her water glass down her throat after it all. It seemed she was less torn in her decision.
“Shall we go after her?” Ayumu asked.
Yuu grinned before gently rousing the cat in her lap. Kyuuka yawned and stretched before climbing into Yuu’s arms.
The next idol was walking toward the microphone, so the two only had a few seconds left to make their exit. Thankfully, the position of the table meant they only had to slide past one other table before reaching the side of the tent where there was a clear aisle for service traffic. Once back in the building, they were able to get directions from the employee at the adoption desk as to Setsuna’s whereabouts and they made haste toward the kennels.
Setsuna turned with a broad smile as soon as Yuu and Ayumu entered the room. She held up a carrier for them to see.
“They were out of harnesses, so I had to put her in here.” Setsuna explained, gently tapping the side of the crate. “But here she is, meet Yasashii.”
“That’s wonderful, Setsuna-chan.” Ayumu said. “I’m glad you were able to find her.”
“And so long as we’re here, let’s go beat the rush at the desk.” Yuu jutted her thumb in that direction.
Two affirmations were given and the trio headed out of the kennel room. Yuu and Setsuna were already chatting about the supplies they should pick up on their way home; toys, treats, food, litter, beds, but mostly toys and treats. For her part, Ayumu contented herself with thoughts on how much additional happiness their new companions would bring to the household. And how glad she was that she had agreed to join in this event that lead to them finding their new pets.
