obito wasn't actually fixing anything. is the thing. like this guy didn't even really correctly identify the primary problems with shinobi. NONE of the naruto villains correctly identify any real problems. they are all trying to fistfight arbitrary runoff that happened to make them specifically sad by killing large amounts of people. this is mostly a symptom of kishimoto's writing but please please PLEASE remember that sometimes the narrative of naruto. will fucking lie to you about character's motivations and actions. it does this a lot. which is why we need to put it into the machine.
