‣ SYNOPSIS ↴

Riyane believes she has seen her abusive ex in Los Angeles. Escaping to her apartment, Riyane tries to calm herself down the only way she knows how to – music and comfort food. Too unsettled by the unrelenting panic attack, Riyane tries to reach for something on a higher shelf, slips, falls, and injures herself. With a broken left wrist and elbow, she manages to call 911, but passes out from shock before she has a chance to let them know what fully happened. They find her and bring her to the CC West where she is treated for her injuries. Ultimately, once her doctor discovers that she her injures resulted from a panic attack, it is recommended that she see a psychiatrist to help her deal with her the mental abuse she endure from her ex and the PTSD that ensued from the relationship. Afterwards, there will be reminants of both what happened between her and her ex as well as the idea that he might be able to find her, but she will learn how to control her emotions to the best of ability. She will have good days and bad days, but they eventually mostly become good ones.

This is a long term character development plot line with extensive repercussions on the Riyane that impacts her relationships with others.

February 27th: Evening

Riyane’s anxiety becomes worse and worse.

She sees someone who looks almost identical to her ex

Arrives at her apartment and can not quell her panic attack, leading to the injuries

February 28th: Early Morning

Riyane is discovered by the paramedics and is brought to CC West. 

She spends most of the day in the hospital

Her arm and wrist are set and put in a cast

She is put through a psychiatric evaluation

She is released with an appointment every week for the foreseeable future with a psychiatrist.

After long-term therapy, she slowly gets better, with minor relapses happening, until she has almost full control of herself.

I’M SO GLAD I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HAD PUPPY FEVER! She’s such a cutie. We should have little puppy playdates with her and Sarge!

The onset of puppy fever was sudden and intense. I’m all for puppy playdates, this little girl seems to love everybody. She keeps trying to make friends with a potted plant in the corner of my living room and is heartbroken at its lack of response.

After a psych evaluation and a promise to visit with a psychiatrist every week for the foreseeable future. Today, March 1st, Riyane is back home. Her arm and wrist have been set in a cast -- luckily her left and not her right. It was time to actually get better.

You were so good! It was amazing! Honestly, I’m waiting for someone who hasn’t seen it just so I have an excuse to see it again! What made you want to be in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them? I have to assume it was because you loved the Harry Potter universe as much as the rest of us!

I’ve been well! I participated in NaNoWriMo while you were gone… And I’m hoping that my parents come visit me for the holidays… That’s about it for me? Have any plans while you’re here?

Well, I think it’d be obvious why I’d want to be a part of the franchise. It’s part of the Harry Potter universe, I grew up on those books, and I love them! Any excuse to be part of something THAT incredible is worth it. So, yes, I’m right there with the rest of the fans of the universe, except now I’m a fan, and part of it.

That’s the bit of a writing challenge during the month of November, right? How did you do? Did you finish? Are your parents coming to visit after all for the holidays? That’d be lovely. I don’t have any plans at the moment. I’d like to try and see some people while I’m here, but one never knows.
