Rules at the embassy might’ve been strict, but for someone as important as Javier, he managed to slither around the rules and bend them a little for you and him.

You’d been dating for a while and you made it well known to all of your colleagues and superiors. You and Javier discussed it previously and agreed that it was best to get it over with, “make it official”, as it were, and have every obstacle in the way removed. 

But naturally, not every obstacle can be removed. Or predicted, for that matter.

Daniel Van Ness was working below you and Javier, and he was a fairly good agent. He did the job and minded his business. So whatever influence he was under when he decided that flirting with you, in front of everyone, was a good idea, he needed to quit it.

Especially since Javier had an astounding reputation following him throughout both Colombia and the United States. He was recognized as one of the agents who took down Pablo Escobar, and his name was seemingly bedazzled with honorifics.

And he had a brilliant work ethic. It would’ve been only fair to assume that he had those same instincts over his work and life partner. 

But Daniel seemed to be set in his ways and search for means to lose his job or get knocked out. He shamelessly approached you at the office as you were reviewing the plans for the stakeout being planned that Friday, flashing a coy smile in your direction. You slowly shifted your eyes onto him, replying with a casual and polite smile instead.

“Hello there,” you greeted him, slightly confused.

“Hey, Y/N. You look very beautiful today. Very elegant and pretty.”

You frowned, confusion increasing steadily, but surely. “Thank you.”

When his gaze on you didn’t cease to exist, you turned more towards him, unsure if you should be amused or concerned. 

“Did you... need something?”

“How about we go for a drink after work, hmm?” he propositioned you.

“Why do I get the feeling this isn’t an amiable suggestion?”

“Depends.”

“On what, exactly?”

“On how you want it to end. Or where.”

You chuckled, full-on uncomfortable with the situation. “Look, Dan, I’m not interested. I appreciate it, but I’m off the market.”

He huffed in dismay. “What’s Peña got that I don’t?”

“You’d be surprised.”

The answer came from Javier himself. He sucked in his cheeks and stared Van Ness down in a way that allowed room for absolutely no counter argument or discussion. He was pissed, and the message was smeared all over his face and his body language.

You laid back over your desk, arms crossed at your chest, smiling. This is gonna be interesting, you laughed to yourself.

“I didn’t see you there, boss,” Van Ness tried to joke. 

“Next time you won’t get to see a single fucking thing if you come at Y/N again like that.”

Javier’s voice was dark, dominant and grave, easily asserting his higher position. Growling and putting his hands up, surrendering, Van Ness left, throwing one last glance at you. Javier made him increase his speed by making a fast movement at him, muttering a “Get the fuck out of here before I kick your fuckin’ ass” and returning to you.

“Let me know if he bothers you again,” he said, pecking your cheek.

“Don’t fight at the workplace, honey, that’s distasteful.”

“I’m gonna fire him, then kick his ass. How’s that?”

“Whatever floats your boat, baby,” you kissed him quickly on the lips, smirking.

Sexuality Headcanon: bisexual (can't spell obisanya without bi) Gender Headcanon: cis male Ships I have with said character: Sam/Dani (to the surprise of Nobody Who Follows This Blog) and Sam/Thierry. also Sam/myself. BROTPs I have with said character: Sam&Roy, Sam&Isaac, Sam&Dani, Sam&Thierry, Sam&Rebecca, and Sam&Jamie (but Only s2 onward). NOTPs I have with said character: Sam/Jamie (i just don't see it reciprocated on sam's side) and Sam/Rebecca. A random headcanon: sam didn't realize he was bi until he was around sixteen, as he thought it was completely normal to be attracted to both men and women. his sister grace gently corrected him that That Was In Fact Not The Case, which spurred a minor freak-out on sam's end. he managed to convince himself that he was actually straight for about three days, until grace brought her future husband home to meet her family and sam laid eyes on him for exactly five seconds before he was like. yeah. i am not straight. and he was pretty much fine with it after that. he has had three serious girlfriends (he and his best friend abigail lost their virginity to each other) and one serious boyfriend (of sorts) named john oluransi, who was a midfielder in the nigerian league. neither had ever slept with a man before each other, so they figured it all out as they went. though they broke up just before sam left for the uk, they remained in touch and are still good friends. General Opinion over said character: i love sam So Much and i hope that he continues to shine and grow as the show continues! and that the writers treat him and his character arc With Respect 🔪

Dani Rojas

Sexuality Headcanon: bisexual Gender Headcanon: cis male Ships I have with said character: I don't ship Dani with anyone but Sam, but I have read a couple of cute Dani/Colin fics. BROTPs I have with said character: Dani&Sam, Dani&Jamie, Dani&Colin, Dani&Roy. NOTPs I have with said character: Dani/Jamie (i just don't see it as anything other than friendship on both sides). A random headcanon: the colorful woven bracelets that dani wears on his right wrist were made for him by his youngest niece and nephew, who swore that they would bring him good luck in the premier league. he Never takes them off, both because he believes in superstition and because he is an Excellent Uncle. his older siblings - jandro, a patent lawyer; gabi, a bank manager and aspiring writer; javi, twin brother of julia and a chef / former midfielder for the tigres; and julia, twin sister of javi and a principal dancer for the ballet de monterrey - always call on him to babysit when he comes home to visit. General Opinion over said character: i ADORE him. absolute ray of sunshine man - though i (like cristo fernandez) very much hope he gets some more depth beyond just being a sunshine-y comic relief in s3.

Gender Headcanon: cis male (though i am interested in trans!jamie as well...) Ships I have with said character: Jamie/Jan, Jamie/Colin, Jamie/OFC (in my Bantrverse) BROTPs I have with said character: Jamie&Keeley, Jamie&Ted, Jamie&Sam, Jamie&Dani, Jamie&Roy NOTPs I have with said character: Jamie/Sam (i can see it on jamie's end, but i don't think sam would reciprocate), Jamie/Dani, Jamie/Roy, Jamie/Roy/Keeley A random headcanon: jamie was always very close to his mother as a kid, but as he got better at football (and as his father re-entered his life), they grew apart. it wasn't until 1x06 that jamie started wanting to make amends with her, but he wasn't sure how and was too afraid to do so lest she reject him for turning into the man his father wanted him to be (and she'd have every right to, as far as he was concerned). he finally called her between 2x03 and 2x04 with the support of his fellow teammates, and cried when she asked if he wanted to come home for christmas. the real reason he didn't buy a gift for the team secret santa exchange is because he was so focused on finding the perfect gift for his mother. he ended up buying her Very Nice Wine, a Very Nice Necklace, and a Very Nice Scarf - he couldn't choose between them - and she loved them all (and loved him all the more for coming home and speaking to her again). he cried when she told him that she was never angry with him for the distance, and was just happy to have him home. they had a very nice, if slightly awkward, christmas together. his father wasn't mentioned at all. General Opinion over said character: i was So Determined not to like him when he came back in s2, but phil dunster worked his magic and now i love jamie very much. (i do wish that we got to see him actually work to make amends with the team, particularly with sam, but i choose to believe that that happened behind the scenes during one of the season's Many timeskips.)

Hi there! I'm a little curious about how many times have you watched narcos? And why don't like DEA guys?! Just asking if you don't want to talk about it then forget this.

hi sweetie no it’s totally fine ! 💕 i watched the show from beginning to end only two times, but the numbers of my rewatches of only certain parts and episodes are way too high !!

and as to why i don’t like the dea guys, okay so first of all i need to say that this opinion is only about and based on the show DEA and not on the real world events!

with that being said, i just totally dislike the way they pretend the war on drugs is the most important job in the world, and how they feel the need to intervene into colombia’s affairs and bear in mind pablo only started getting truly aggressive once the dea started messing with him, so all the death and terror is at least partly on them too. but they totally demonize him and act as if they are superior and better, not only to the “thugs” but also to the colombian forces. also really they pretend to be on such a high horse and are so arrogant (especially in s3 daniel and chris, they annoyed me so much that i just wanted to punch their grins out of their faces! ) when in reality they should take a step back, because what they do is barely PR, this dumb war on drugs is just a a cops-and-robbers game of personalities to distract the public eye from the forces that actually run the world and give the american citizens the feeling of success by showing the results of their dea operations. so i’m glad the show threw in CIA Bill who actually had important affairs and put javi into place.
