#Ryuenix AU

God, reminds me that I wrote a (currently unfinished) fanfic for my Ryuenix AU. The idea was that Karuma has been in the Naruhodo line's possession up until Phoenix and, around after Dual Destinies, he decides that he'd give it back to Asogi's descendant (I named him Gisei Asogi), only for him to be killed and Phoenix to be framed. Apollo had to defend him in court.

In context, before this trial, Ryunosuke being Phoenix's ancestor was NOT common knowledge due to past prejudice he and his family faced in the area he lived in when he was little so his parents decided to ditch the Naruhodo name and became the Wrights, trying their hardest to be accepted in the American society and not mentioning their Japanese heritage (despite how famous Ryunosuke was). I figure that, despite the anti-Japanese sentiment and anti-immigrant were not enacted in Japanifornia as it is irl, there'd still a bit prejudice against Japanese people due to WW2. Because of this, Phoenix has an internalized fear of rejection if he were to out himself as Ryuichi Naruhodo (an unfounded fear in the current state of Japanifornia but still).

So like, in trial, Apollo initally managed to capitalized on the fact that the supposed killer was someone named 'Naruhodo R.' and not Phoenix thus having little to no motive on the case, only for the prosecution (I wrote Simon in the fic) to reveal his birth name, pulling him back as the suspected culprit.

That's as far as I wrote, but I remember the actual killer was Gisei Asogi's Western wife Mina Discree. I forgot her motive but given the pun in her name, I think it has something to do with xenophobia. Or that she viewed the Naruhodo as unworthy of Karuma but has little love for Gisei that's why she killed her husband to implicate Phoenix idk

Afterwards, Phoenix wasn't found guilty and ended up sending Karuma back to the living Asogi family members in order to maintain good relationship between the two. I can see that the Naruhodo-Asogi relationship started to deteriorate after a certain generations, only rekindled recently by Phoenix and Gisei's generation.

My Ace Attorney AUs

Apparently, I'm easily making AUs in a mere minutes. So, I'd like to share several of my Ace Attorney AUs that I have lately :3

Ryuenix AU: This AU is made in an attempt to mix it with its Japanese counterpart Gyakuten Saiban. Basically, Phoenix Wright is born in Japan as Ryuuichi Naruhodou before he moved to America and Apollo Justice is a cousin to Housuke Odoroki.

Lost in Time AU: Phoenix and Apollo accidentally sent back to early 20th century, where they met with the DGS cast and had to find a way to go back to their time. Phoenix took over Ryuunosuke's office in England while Apollo became Sherlock's assistant as his part time job beside being a lawyer.

Apollo Lestrade AU: This AU still tied to the Lost in Time AU above. Apollo Justice married Gina Lestrade but he had finally able to return to his time, leaving his wife and his newborn daughter Rina/Lina Justice-Lestrade. Fast forward to the present time, where inspector Apollo Lestrade, Apollo Justice's "descendant", is trying to solve the mystery behind an unsolved case connected to a family of eccentrics the Turners as well as searching for his "great grandfather". He is helped by his young assistant Aoi Tsuchi.

Touhou AU: This is the first Ace Attorney AU that I made. It's actually more like "make a Touhou character of this character and make them interact with the original counterpart". It follows the misadventures of a supernatural investigation group led by Ryuuko Hai (Ryuunosuke Naruhodou/Mia Fey), a samurai lawyer clad in high school uniform (despite her actual age is much closer to that of Mia's). She has an ability to see the absolute truth. Accompanying her are Kyouko Hai (Phoenix Wright/Maya Fey) - her sister who can make bluffs come true but cannot apply it if she herself is the one who bluffs, Amaterasu Seigi (Apollo Justice) - her apprentice who often disguise herself as "Houki Osuke", an Apollo look-alike, as well as being an archer and using sun-based powers (please note her sun-based is different from Okuu), Omoi Reikon (Athena Cykes/Bobby Fulbright) - a friend of Amaterasu who can control emotions including on himself despite lacking one himself, and Mahiru Haishi, also known as Helena Messer (Miles Edgeworth/Frasizka von Karma) - Ryuuko's rival prosecutor who punishes the guilty in a sadist way.

High School/Collage Lawyers AU: This one is fairly recent. It's based on this one screenshot collection of AA:DD's finale but the WAA are in silly DLC costumes. It's really just case 3-1 but instead of Mia, Apollo instead defending his senior Feenie with Athena as his co-counsel.

Ryuenix AU Part 2

So, continuing from before, here’s the headcanons for the Japanese crews:

Housuke Odoroki: Apollo’s cousin. Nickname Odeko. 5 years younger than Apollo. Far more hot-blooded and reckless than the now matured Apollo. Took major in laws at Teitou Yuumei University. Idolize both Phoenix (which he refers with his Japanese name Naruhodou) and Apollo. Aiming to be a lawyer like them. “Chord of Steel” is louder than Apollo’s and practices it every early morning (3 AM ffs-!!), often annoyed his American cousin when he use it. Unlike Apollo, Housuke does not fear height (thought he claim he’s more afraid of falling down unconsciously when he’s on a tall height) and can swim. His hair is naturally like that, instead of being styled with gels like Apollo’s. Has a one-sided attraction toward Kokone. A fan of Klavier thought not as much as Kyouya.

Kokone Kidzuki: Housuke’s best friend since high school. A year younger than him. Is in the same university and took the same major as him but she’s aiming to be a prosecutor instead, following her brother’s footstep. Energetic and happy-go-lucky but can display a cold and ruthless trait when being serious, which is usually apparent when she takes the prosecutor desk during court trial. Nevertheless, she cares about her friends and family. Is currently dating Kyouya.

Daichi Aoi: Housuke’s best friend since elementary. Took major in astronomy at Ooagawara Space University. Despite differing college, he often tries his best to visit Housuke, since their house is not that far from each other. Has a heart condition and had severely fainted once during middle school. Calm and level-headed, often acts as “The Only Sane Man” among his quirky friends. Dreams to work at NASA someday.

Kyouya Garyu: A friend of Housuke at Teito Yuumei University. Majoring in arts and minoring in laws. A Gavinners at heart, often asking Apollo to get Klavier’s signature for him. Loves his older brother unconditionally, always stands up to his bullies. Honest and very friendly. He has short brown hair but sometimes wear a blond wig that looks like Klavier’s hair. Housuke implied this is his form of fanboying over the American prosecutor/ex-musician. Can speak German perfectly because his brother taught him since young. Is currently dating Kokone.

Kirihito Garyu: Kyouya’s older brother. Housuke’s senior by 2 years. Majoring laws at Teito Yuumei University. Nerd and dork af. Always wears glasses and can’t see without them. Often bullied because of it beside him looking like a creep at times. Also because of his name is an anagram of “hitokiri”, which means killer. Doesn’t have much friends beside Kyouya’s friends and some colleagues. Loves his little brother dearly. His hair is long brown but often styled into side drill similar to the Gavin brothers. He’s total opposite from Kristoph. Is totally misunderstood. Save this child ;~;

Yugami Kidzuki: Kokone’s older brother. 3 years older than Apollo. Gloomy and emo most of the time but cares for his sister dearly. A prosecutor in Kyoto. Had resigned once from the position but later took it up again. Likes birds especially the carnivorous types. Has a parrot named Jin.

Minuki Odoroki: Housuke’s mom. Her “Chord of Steel” overpowers both Apollo’s and Housuke’s. Quirky mommy who loves her child dearly. Fangirling over Phoenix.

Reiji Mitsurugi: Edgeworth’s cousin. A calm and reasonable authority figure. Chief prosecutor of Japan. Rarely keep in touch with his American cousin. Takes interest in Phoenix and his court history, requesting him to “perform” in Japan once. Has a little sister who’s already married.

Mei Karuma, née Mitsurugi: Reiji’s younger sister. Prosecutor at Tokyo. Married to a man named Gou Karuma. Wants to make his brother proud.
