Russia's youngest serial killer

Vladimir Vinnichevsky in many ways, a unique serial killer, and not only in the domestic criminal history, but also the world. It is surprising that such a truly monstrous in its cruelty and at the same time smart and resourceful criminal caught, in General, quite by accident, still remained unknown to the General public. Meanwhile, the story of Vova Vinnichevsky deserves attention.

Volodya, born in 1923, began killing at the age of 15 years. Komsomol members collecting scrap metal were a sign of the time. They did not surprise anyone and the legend worked perfectly. Even when the Sverdlovsk knew about the crimes and the unfamiliar man aroused widespread suspicion that the student is bypassing the house supposedly in search of scrap metal, fear is not aroused.

Going with Hertha in the garden, Vinnichevsky attacked the girl and began to choke. After she was quiet, he decided to try something new. The criminal for the first time started up a knife and began to strike blows to the head. Soviet factory knives have always been of disgusting quality, so that on the eighth blow the blade broke off and the tip remained in the head of the victim. The medical examiner suggested using the victim's skull as evidence. In that case, if the killer does not throw a broken knife and the knife is found, it was possible to conduct an examination, proving the application of wounds with this knife, and not any other. The idea seemed attractive, made decapitation, and the body of the relatives were given without the head of the child.

However, this calculation was not justified. Vinnichevsky did not keep a knife with broken blade and threw it out. But in the future I learned a lesson and began to use a screwdriver and a Swiss army knife. The killer actually turned out to be very trained man, and has come up with many elements of the criminal's handwriting, given that in those days there were no movies, thrillers, and good books-detectives were gold.

Vinnichevsky attack not only on girls, he, as a true pedophile, sexual identity of the victim was not fundamental. So, the fifth victim of Vova as he told, there was a boy, however, the militia didn't receive any messages on it. Most likely, the victim survived and relatives wished to hide the incident from law enforcement agencies. The baby, who became the object of the next attack, 4-year-old Borya Titov, also survived. He was the first who was able to report at least some information about the mysterious rapist and his manner of behavior: Vinnichevsky invited the boy to ride him on a sled, brought to the wasteland at the end of the street, where he attacked, and then threw him unconscious in a snowdrift, taking the sled away to ask the search for the wrong direction.

The mutilated body of the seventh victim, 3-year-old Wali p. Lobanova, Vinnichevsky dropped into a pit of feces under the wooden outdoor toilet. Those who have seen such a latrine can easily understand the calculation of the murderer — there is no light and smell. And this stench will mask the smell of rotting flesh. Dropping kids in the sump — another invention, which Vinnichevsky thought of yourself. He will be faithful to him in the future. One of the girls, thrown into the latrine in an unconscious state, survived. 4-year-old Paradise Rahmatulina saved by the fact that the killer was confined to the stifle and is not used edged weapons. Thanks to this, the girl woke up, began to call for help and heard her.

Vinnichevsky lived in the center of Sverdlovsk, but to commit crimes prefer to go to the outskirts of the city. In the spring of 1939 in the forest near the railway / road station, he killed 4-year-old Lida Surin. The guy stabbed her 24 injured with machetes and the body was camouflaged with branches. The girl quickly enough and began to look for. It was already 11 attack Vinnichevsky when local police finally realized that in the city operates a maniac, attacking young children. Therefore, for practicing all the messages about the disappearance of the toddler immediately rushed all available forces. Surin was found quickly, but she was already dead.

Soon investigators realized that the offender had not taken the victims more than a kilometer away from the abduction site, so if you quickly start a search from the point where the child was last seen, then you can manage to find him alive. Thanks to this speed, some of the children were rescued.

In the summer of 1939 the investigation of the crimes committed Bennicassim in Sverdlovsk, were United in one production. To a certain extent confused picture of the variability of the behavior of the killer — as mentioned above, sometimes he strangled victims with his hands, and sometimes resorted to melee weapons, so even with excessive brutality. Of course, the times were scarce, but Vinnichevsky wore leather shoes, sported in a tank helmet, which was then the dream of all the boys, and owned a Swiss penknife — such an artifact did not have a price in the eyes of teenagers. Plus, during the arrest, he was carrying more than 20 rubles, while the adults survived, then, is based less than 10 rubles per day. In General, it is impossible to call the guy miserable and the poor. Vinnichevsky sang well, knew by heart many songs, the most favorite of which was "Heroes of Hasana". Oh this is getting out of hand now. My criticism of the fandom and some of narrative choices used in Hannibal are being dissected in most inappropriate ways. A molester wouldn't be set free if tries to justify his actions like you described, true but at the same time pop culture DOES influence behavior. That is why child porn is illegal or milder - objectification is criticized. Society is actually hounded by criminals, the likes of Hannibal Lecter.

2/2 Cont'd. Society is actually hounded by monsters like Hannibal and while I am a fan of the show I do remember this truth. But the fandom twists things more than the show does. The show doesn't ask fans to have sympathy for Hannibal, he is built like the vicious entity. It's fans to manufacture sympathy and discredit the struggle of Will, Jack, Alana and FBI.

I understand it might feel tiresome, but as long as I get asks about it, I’ll reply to them because I don’t like leaving things unanswered and I don’t mind discussing this topic myself since like you see, I’m personally invested in it. It’s not really about your asks at this point, at least not from my side - I shared my story because I think the so-called ‘antis’ and their movement pose a real danger with their views. For example, if I see some call-out post with something like “This user is a pedophile”, my first thought is, “Great, what kind of shipping is being targeted this time?” And it’s very bad because it means this word is losing its impact and actual molesters might go free because people are too hung up on fiction. My aunt had the same mindset as the representatives of this movement, which is why I discussed her. She believed an actual pedophile who sweet-talked her over her niece just because she wrote dark fiction.

Child porn is illegal because it involves actual children suffering. If someone writes fiction about fictional characters with this topic, it’s not going to be banned (at least in most places), and if someone uses such fiction to justify their actions in RL, that’s again on them. Media influences behavior as much as behavior influences media. For instance, in Russia, many people think that gay men are all effeminate and like so-called ‘feminine’ things. This kind of thinking is reflected massively in Russian media, which in turn reinforces this stereotype in people’s mind even more. It’s a complex issue, but it’s never going to be as simple as “If you romanticize the relationship between fictional serial killers, people will believe real abuse is okay.”

The show absolutely does invite viewers to sympathize with Hannibal (and Will) - Bryan, Mads, and Hugh even discussed it openly at some point. The scene of Hannibal crying in the opera was included to make him more human. His pining for Will under dramatic music is there for the same reason. The way he’s walking slowly through the rain in S2 finale, crying, also shows a heartbroken man that most viewers feel sorry for. Hannibal comes out triumphant in every season, just like he does in the books. He lives on and gets his happily ever after. The show humanizes him in every possible way, but it assumes that people are capable of understanding that murder/abuse are actually bad.

It’s like Whac-A-Mole game. You might play it and have fun and discuss it, but you aren’t going to be bashing actual moles when you see them. It’s something even most youngest children understand, so there is no reason to think adults (who this show is for) might get confused.

CARNIVAL recaps [5/13]

Today’s recap: Nemu in pursuit of brains, the Doctor (no, no that one), and the youngest detective possible.

NINE

21 Sept 1996 — 27 Sept 1996

MACHU PICCHU

After the Empire State Building is blown up, big newspapers of the world publish a long letter from RISE to the world. RISE claims they already control the governments. They encourage people to lose their common sense and morals, as only those following their instincts will survive in this “kill or get killed” world. People shouldn’t avert their eyes from how cruel and repulsive they inherently are, but instead contribute to the Crime Olympics—which isn’t just violence for violence’s sake, but a revolution to eradicate “the Beasts”. Every crime in the Olympics should have a proper motive. Criminals who are caught or give themselves up to the police shall be compensated for their trouble. Only those who “believe in their own sense of judgement” will be saved. The only criminals here are those who deny their own crimes. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Even since the JDC explosion, the world’s crime rate and death toll has soared high in what was dubbed the Crime Olympics Phenomenon. UN’s official numbers say that four million people die every single day.

On September 21st, exactly 401 people are found dead in the famous Machu Picchu. It looks like people in the vicinity suddenly stopped what they were doing, stripped naked where they stood, gathered in Machu Picchu, and dropped dead from unexplained heart failure. The seventh skull of the Billion Killer is found at the scene.

On September 24th, Tsukumo Nemu investigates the scene assisted by a translator Pacha Palermo [remember her for much, much later]. Pacha’s father who had been working closely with the president became one of the Billion Killer’s victims.

Nemu remembers the case of the poisoned waiter that she, Jounosuke and Hikimiya got tangled into in Paris. It turned out later that the man hadn’t actually died from poison, but from Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. Further investigation revealed the presence of several no-brand “corned beef” cans containing human brain tissue in the man’s apartment. The waiter had visited Peru about two weeks before death, so it was concluded that he could have gotten those cans there. Nemu was asked by Dokuson to investigate the matter, and coincidentally arrived in Peru on the same day that the Billion Killer just happened to attack Machu Picchu.

(Speaking of Dokuson, he sure changed things in JDC. First, he introduced a merit system of payment instead of a steady monthly paycheck and announced that whoever didn’t do their job would be kicked out. Second, the detectives now had more freedom in choosing cases and could count on JDC to cover all costs involved. Third, the entrance exam was replaced by a normal interview process, resulting in a flood of new detectives. Fourth, instead of using their old Blue ID Cards, everyone would be given a shiny new IDID (International Detective ID) issued by DOLL to allow swift entry and proceedings in foreign countries.)

Pacha Palermo says that her father’s secretary Luca, who vanished “after those four hundred people were killed in Machu Picchu”, had kept in contact with suspicious Russian men. Nemu’s fuzzy reasoning tells her that something’s off here. She calls Jounosuke (who’s currently bored out of his mind recuperating in his house in Japan), and by consulting his language proficiency learns that Pacha has been mistranslating things on purpose to hide a lot of things from Nemu.

Pacha admits that Luca manipulated her father into getting some highly suspicious corned beef cans and used this fact to blackmail Pacha. Nemu notices that Pacha always says that there were “four hundred” victims in Macchu Picchu instead of four hundred and one. While it’s a nitpick, it’s a bit weird for Pacha to leave out a person, considering her father was one of the victims—almost as if she doesn’t count him as a Billion Killer victim. Nemu theorizes that it was Pacha who killed her father, or perhaps just directed him to go to Machu Picchu while knowing that mass murder would happen, but there’s no clear proof.

Either way, Nemu learns what she came to Peru for: the cans had been sourced from Moscow. She decides to fly to Russia to investigate further.

On the plane she reads the recently released Cosmic by Seiryoin Ryusui, which feels a little strange considering she took part in the case described in it. (The “all characters are fictional” disclaimer at the end is just weird in that context.) JDC is concerned by the book mentioning the Geneijo case, which is considered an L-crime and therefore the public shouldn’t be able to know anything about it. What’s more, this Seiryoin guy already announced that his second novel Joker that would come out in January would describe the Geneijo case in detail. Nobody knows who Seiryoin is—the common theory about him being Minase Nagisa (Dakushoin Ryusui’s twin sister) based on writing style similarity is apparently wrong.

Before Nemu can resume her investigation, she gets surprising news from Dokuson: Yaiba Somahito, the First Group’s leader, has kidnapped a boy from the hospital, run away from Japan with him, and is now moving towards Moscow on the Trans-Siberian Express. Dokuson orders Nemu to meet Yaiba halfway through Russia and put a stop to his madness.

TEN

28 Sept 1996 — 04 Oct 1996

EIFFEL TOWER

The Sanctuary docks at an invisible tower by the name of Tow Dreamer, a grand construction made of orichalcum just like the Billion Killer skulls. From there one can access the main headquarters of RISE, the Moonbow Palace.

White Rook, a.k.a. the Doctor, walks through the dark Moonbow Palace. As always he’s dressed in white and wears a mask—every other executive has a uniform in a different color and never shows their face, so they don’t know the others’ identities. White meets up with Black Rook—the Master—and together they ride the elevator to the top of Tow Dreamer to return to the Sanctuary.

White says that Alive is spreading nicely and it’ll be a while until someone finds an effective vaccine. RISE already has one, of course. They shouldn’t need it as long as they don’t come in contact with Godust, the substance containing the virus.

White and Black enter a place in the Sanctuary called the Cosmic Room to talk with “Mein Fuhrer”. [Seriously, you’re not very slick with the naming.]

The Cosmic Room is dark with many tiny lights spread throughout, so being in it feels like floating in starry space. On a magnetically levitating chair sits the leader Rudolf Strauss, dressed in silver, their face hidden under a realistic mask of a cow [or a bull or an ox, the Japanese word used can mean all these], which brings to mind the Minotaur of Greek mythos. RS speaks through a voice changer, so it’s impossible to guess their gender or age.

The three speak vaguely about “the genius pregnant woman”, wondering if she can become a threat to RISE. RS thinks they won’t have a problem. They already know the future will bring their victory, and now just have to patiently move the game pieces along. RS states that thanks to the Billion Killer, the Beasts shall be eradicated and the era of Gods will begin.

On September 28th, three Dots are sent to Paris to oversee the new Billion Killer case. They mention a case in Moscow in which a murderer thought to be the serial killer Amur Tiger replaced all mannequins in the GUM department store with headless bodies. One of the Dots gets heated and makes a bold comment about how the murderer may have aimed to find and kill a person who had a cow head [clearly taking a jab at RS here], and gets his head promptly blown up.

At exactly 1 PM, the top part of the Eiffel Tower is first cut off like with a knife, then sent flying by several explosions. Yet another skull of the Billion Killer is found at the scene.

Black Rook watches the show from Dragon’s Center, the control room where servants called Machines work with the Sanctuary’s computer and navigation system. Everything is going as planned. The Sanctuary moves towards the Billion Killer’s next target in Russia.

Black looks at another screen, which shows a secret live feed of Ryuuguu Jounosuke.

ELEVEN

19 Oct 1996 — 25 Oct 1996

NIAGARA FALLS

It’s been ten weeks into the Crime Olympics and the death toll has reached 280 million. We’re up to ten Billion Killer attacks with the latest ones in France, Russia, and Great Britain. Ten detective organizations have been blown up; at this point every remaining detective group just evacuates the entire staff near 1 PM on Saturdays, which lets them avoid casualties.

After the case in Russia, the Sanctuary headed to Japan to investigate the “genius pregnant woman”—Hanto Maimu, the former secretary of Ajiro Souji. It seems that the current leader of JDC Yuiga Dokuson is also interested in that certain ability of hers, as he came all the way to the hospital to visit her.

White Rook has been spying on Maimu by pretending to be her new doctor, “Shindou Masato” (this name of course being fake), so he was there when Dokuson visited. He seems impressed by the power of Dokuson’s presence and his ability to manipulate others with words (a bit reminiscent of Black Rook��s way with words), and thinks that if Dokuson joined RISE, he would have surely become the right hand of the leader, as they would certainly match in terms of charisma, blah blah blah, waxing poetics about Dokuson for two pages. [Well, now I know why I saw ship art of these two.]

From what White knows, Maimu has awakened a strange ability on August 10th, the day of the Billion Killer’s first case, that also happened to be her 28th birthday. Maimu was sad about the attack on JDC, but not at all surprised, since she had had a feeling that it happened, as if she subconsciously knew about the explosion as soon as it took place. Her strange feelings kept coming before every subsequent Billion Killer case, each time coming true. Since she always got these vague feelings at exactly 1 PM on Saturday in Japan time, in practice it meant she was predicting the future—1 PM didn’t happen for the majority of the world yet.

It’s estimated that Maimu will give birth around October 25th, in just a week. It’s strange that Maimu’s husband, a bank employee called Tanna Sazen and referred to simply as Danna (lit. “husband”), hasn’t shown up even once since last week, as if he vanished.

Before he was White Rook, the Doctor had been called Endou Naoto. Thinking about names, he remembers what Maimu wants to name her child: Hanto Kuraimu—Crime Hunt. [That’s the most metal name I’ve ever seen, but also means she wants to name her child Crime. Why. Also, there’s an entire part about how this pun doesn’t really work because in Japanese you put the family name first, though in modern times some families westernize their names and put family name last, see Christmas Mizuno as an example.]

White finds it strange that Maimu and Danna apparently thought of only one name, despite her being pregnant with two children. Are they going to call the second kid some variation of the first’s name? Are they going to split it in two somehow? Who knows.

Anyway, White contacts another RISE’s executive Yellow Bishop and learns that Danna’s whereabouts are still unknown, though he seems to be escaping towards Canada. Apparently Danna’s important to understanding just what Maimu’s newly awakened ability really is. Yellow has already mobilized his Dogs to chase him.

Dogs (not to be confused with Dots) are RISE’s spies who spend their entire lives undercover pretending to be normal members of society. (There are also Mice, human test subjects, and Machines, who work under Black to keep the Sanctuary moving, but we’re not going to talk about them now.) Danna is one of the Dogs. It’s not clear how, but he somehow learned about the Billion Killer’s plans and recently run away from his post.

White suspects there might be a secret connection between Yellow and Danna, but it’s hard to guess when he doesn’t even know what Yellow Bishop’s true identity is. Yellow always wears a mask and is quite talented in voice mimicry, so talking with him doesn’t help much.

Tanna Sazen / Danna married Maimu four years ago, technically on orders to try and pull information on JDC from her, but in a lucky turn of events he genuinely fell in love with her. Time passed. Maimu awoke her new ability of prediction. Danna suspected this ability was his fault, somehow originating from his knowledge of RISE’s secret plans, and so he fled.

Right now Danna is in Banff, Alberta, where he once cooperated with a fellow Dog, an Indigenous man living near the lake Minnewanka. Danna hopes his friend can help him hide from RISE. Unfortunately, this turns out not to be the case, and Danna has to flee from his should-be-friends trying to capture him and give him over to RISE. In the end Danna is forced to jump from a cliff into Bow Lake, a dangerous fall no ordinary person should survive.

The pursuers are only able to find Danna’s artificial eye and broken glasses in the lake, but when they report that they haven’t found the body to Yellow, he seems satisfied and orders them to stop the search.

Maimu makes a mistake in predicting the eleventh Billion Killer case. Her feelings tell her that people will vanish at the Victoria Lake in Canada, but something even stranger happens. A giant submarine suddenly surfaces on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, completely empty save for yet another Billion Killer skull. It seems to be the same Robo-Ship that vanished inside the Bermuda Triangle six weeks prior, but without its crew.

Maimu is taking a walk around the hospital when she’s beckoned over by a man wearing a black suit and made to answer a phone. The one calling appears to be the long-missing Ajiro Souji, who assures her that he’s safe and sound, but can’t go around showing his face just yet. Ajiro hints as to where Maimu can find information about her new ability, and ends the call by asking her to wait patiently and believe in his return.

The hint turns out to be… a paragraph in Cosmic, in which the narration makes a stray remark about how one day Maimu’s child would be a “fetus detective” and later an “infant detective”. [So all those times when Seiryoin does what seems like horrendous writing, all those “they couldn’t yet know that X would happen years later”? INTENTIONAL. God, I love metafiction.]

In other words, the one with a strange predictive ability isn’t Maimu; it’s her yet unborn child. That’s why the latest prediction was off—it’s so close to term that little Kuraimu is their own independent person by now and their connection with Maimu has weakened.

Maimu is lost as to how this ability works exactly, but from what Ajiro said, the child had somehow, in some way, inherited the knowledge about RISE’s plans in the form of genetic information from their father Danna, and was instinctively able to tap into it.

Maimu gives birth on October 31st, but contrary to what White said earlier, only one child is born—a baby girl detective already on a “crime hunt”—as if the other has simply vanished.

Russia’s youngest serial killer, for his time.

Between 1938 and 1939, horrible childmurders were going on. Small children from the age of 2 and 4. In total seventeen children we kidnapped. Eight children were gruesomely murdered, and the surviving nine were harmed badly.

Together with the surviving victims, the police knew soon that all the kidnappings were done by one person. A young man, who'd start a small conversation with the children and then asking them to help him find something, with the promise of icecream or candy as reward. He then would bring the children to a abonded place, where he'd strangle them and stab them with sharp objects. The reason he'd strangle them, was his fear of the child screaming. Multiple times he left the child after they had started to scream.

October 24, 1939. Three soldiers were patrolling around the tramstation of Uralmash, when they saw a thin male with a young child in his arms. They were allarmed when the man started heading towards the forest instead of the houses.

The soldiers followed the man and saw him strangle the child in his arms, whom seemed already dead. The soldiers arrested the man and were lucky enough to save the 3-year-old girl, Slava Zairsev.

The identity of the young man was shocking to many. 15-year-old lokal student, Vladimir Vinnichevsky. He was known as a smart student and no ordinary person could believe this gruesome news about him.

His parents were disgusted and spoke pubicly about how their son deserved the worst punishment. On January 16, 1940, he was given the death sentence. Following the law, he was for his time the youngest serial killer.

In total he'd kidnapped 17 children. 9 survived with terrible injuries, 8 were murdered. The weird part, he'd written it all down. But in a special kind of code that to this day is still a mystery. He might have murdered more children, but we might never know.

[MS] Confessions of an Officer's Wife, Part 3 of 3

Early Sunday morning, Carlos got a call from his Aunt Clara. She was crying and could barely speak. Someone had sent her an e-mail and some old recording and pictures relating to the Bay of Pigs. Both of us knew what the content was. Carlos's father, uncle and the much older brother of my ex-boyfriend were captured and then killed. The event was filmed and pictures were taken. A picture from Carlos's father fell out his pocket and this was a picture of my mother-in-law, Carlos's father, him and his 4 sisters. My mother in law had 5 children, Carlos being the youngest at age 5. This was taken a couple of months before his father died. Looked like your typical family picture.

I went down to Aunt Clara's home and she was having difficulty breathing. She had to be taken to the hospital. She has heart problems and other medical problems and being so upset like she could have cost her her life. Her blood pressure was 190/100 with a heart rate of 120. She was kept 2 days before her blood pressure finally came down.

My father managed to escape but this haunted him for the rest of his life. He didn't like to talk about it and rarely did. If those reading this don't know what the Bay of Pigs is, it was a military operation to rid Cuba of Castro. It was a fiasco to put it mildly. Most of those killed from the US were Cuban who were strongly opposed to Castro and his regime.

These pictures and video of course couldn't be used at trial of the celeb DJ as they had nothing to do with the car accident. The intent of causing pain and distress was the motive. Carlos tried to trace who sent this to his aunt but wasn't able to trace the person except that it had been sent in Russia which was very very weird. Could never prove that the celeb DJ was behind this but I know he was.

Carlos is generally an easy going person who rarely gets angry. I had never seen him so angry. He told me that he hoped that he wouldn't find the person or person who sent his aunt the pictures and the video. He told me he would be very tempted to do bodily harm to them.

Wasn't long before this was sent to random people in Miami Cove. The celeb DJ said that this stuff had been around a long time which was true. Carlos had seen the pictures when he was a teen. He didn't believe it when a class mate said that they were in the library in Miami. They went down there and found the pictures. Lourdes and I saw the pictures in the Miami library. Her father had also died at the Bay of Pigs and there were pictures but it was separate from the others. There was a film also in the library but Lourdes and I didn't view it for fear of being punished if people found out. Carlos on the other hand saw the film footage when he was a teen. I had never seen this and have never seen it as I know what happened.

That wasn't the end by any means. Now the question was who was in the video that had been found in the personal belongings of my ex-boyfriend. I was on that video and I had no idea it existed. The film was very grainy and you could see a woman crying but you couldn't ID the woman who was driving the car. A camera was put in the car that Joshua forced me to drive in. I don't remember begging for my life but apparently I did. He told me that I would die that night. I only remember what happened after I was in the living room of the house.

The murder was captured from a distance. All you can hear is Joshua yelling insults at the men , them yelling at him and then one of the men killed him. The men can be seen running in the distance and one yells, "Let's Get the Hell out of here." That I do remember hearing them say.

On the video you can't see me coming out of the house but you can't make out who I am nor can you make out who Carlos is. The audio is so low that you can barely hear us talk. They couldn't tell if we were talking in English or Spanish (we were talking in Spanish).

Several days later

"The Murder case of Joshua Mills has been opened up as this is new evidence. We would like to speak with this woman (unfortunately all we know is that this woman and man on this video are most likely of Cuban ancestry) as we are concerned about her safety. We don't know if she went with this man willingly. The man and woman on this video aren't suspects in Joshua's murder but they might have information about who killed him. The audio is so low that we can't tell if they are speaking in English or Spanish."

Even if someone knew any information, no one was going to help Joshua Mills who was a serial killer and whose victims were young women of Cuban ancestry. Joshua Mills had the eyes of the devil, I can tell you that and I've looked into the eyes of the devil and survived. Lourdes wasn't so lucky.

Carlos told me who he called and it was the Captain of the Narcotics unit. On his report, Captain Gomez to protect Carlos never put the name of the person who called in to report the murder. In the report it says anonymous caller.

Captain Johnson is very old, in a nursing home and has no memory of who called that night. This is what Carlos wrote in his report as he interviewed the Captain. This was true. The Captain barely remembered who Carlos was. He died about a year later.

We never found out who gave my ex the video recording. All I know is that it wasn't Carlos but who? I'm wondering if it was Captain Johnson but then how would he have gotten access to this. Captain Johnson was a devout Baptist and didn't know my ex-boyfriend.

I know that Carlos destroyed the tape in my presence. This was mostly to protect me as he didn't know and still doesn't know who killed Joshua. My guess is if these men are still around (because they were involved in dealing and trafficking of drugs), they have probably been in jail or prison. It's possible they might be dead as dealing drugs is risky business. They would be in their 60's.

Carlos believed that because Joshua Mills was so evil that he deserved what happened to him. Karma came around and bite him hard. I also believed that God spared me that night for a reason. Seems like I'm the sole survivor as no other women who went out there came out alive.

Many of those who worked narcotics were chain smokers. Once Carlos was no longer doing undercover work, I tried to get him to quit smoking and it was the death of a Sgt who was 41 years old that motivated him to quit. Sadly many of these individuals continued to smoke and it took its toll of them. Some of them sadly are no longer with us due to smoking.

Finally after two years, celeb DJ was put on trial. Carlos was surprised that neither one of us was called at the criminal trial as we would be more character witnesses that witnesses for the defense or prosecution. Celeb DJ made my ex-boyfriend look like a bad person. Of course the parent who was angry about her kid getting expelled for bad behavior testified. Another person that I had never met and who was proven never to have lived in Miami Cove said that my ex-boyfriend sexually harassed her. In Miami Cove, everyone pretty much knew every one else and I had never seen this woman before.

Celeb DJ didn't get away with his crime at first. He was found guilty, sentenced and then a higher court overturned the conviction and accused the jury of being biased against him.. One juror said that she didn't like the music that Celeb DJ played and this is why she voted guilty as charged. She probably had never actually heard the music but admitted to the court that she had a instant dislike of him when she saw him.

Five years for DUI homicide isn't a harsh sentence compared to the death sentence my ex-boyfriend got for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. If it hadn't come out about the juror being biased against celeb DJ, the case wouldn't have been thrown out of court but I doubt that he would have spent a day in jail.

My ex-boyfriend had no living family, as his parents were dead, his older brother was dead (the older brother who died at age 20 had no children) and no one family could be found. Celeb DJ never got sued by anyone. Karma has a way of coming back on you. For Celeb DJ it hasn't but I believe that if you don't make amends for what you have done in this life, you will have to in the afterlife and in the afterlife, high priced lawyers, fans and the court system will not protect you from judgement.

When my husband retired at age 60 he was given a party. We did some traveling in a camper and took a cross country trip in 2017. In mid 2019, Carlos became ill, very weak and tired. Turned out he had cancer. Less than a year later, Carlos died.

There were so many people who had wonderful things to say about my husband. I grieve for him but I also celebrate his life as well.
