#Rubi vs Elsword

It would seem that I've picked MapleStory back up again after a few years, and finally got around to playing Elsword like Highschool Rubi always wanted to, but never could due to weak computers.

Currently chopping through MapleStory as Luminous. I'm not very far at all, I've just slaughtered a lot of Cold Eyes.

And in Elsword, I've started playing both, well, Elsword and Elesis. Elsword, I've just made it to Bethma and made him a Magic Knight. Elesis, I just got to Elder and intend on making her a Pyro Knight.

Elsword update: Hoookay...so, completed the Velder plot. R.I.P. the capital, but hey, we got Elesis traveling with us now! Now, onto the Hamel plot.

City’s flooding fast, Rod Ross and Daisy’s dynamic makes me wanna heave; met Chung, who’s dad’s a bastard as far as I know; met Add, who came out of nowhere and also I can barely hear his dialogue. 

This is when things get a bit weird. Event going on where if you use up the stack of 35 insta-levels they’ve gifted you, you get two loot cubes. Me, being stupid with a level 70 Elsword, used as much of that stack as I could, which wasn’t the whole thing. So now I’m unable to get those cubes b/c level cap and I still had a “clear areas within your level range” quests for Ultimate Move and Limit Break. 

Which takes me to Secret Dungeons for the first time, and I have found...how utterly batshit things can get in there, whether it’s me and 4 others trying to beat up everything in our path likely b/c they went down the same path as I did, or me barely keeping up with a maxed-out and fully-outfitted Bloody Queen that slaughtered everything on screen. But hey, I got a snazzy new sword and pair of gloves out of it (Ancient Antique Guardian), and after I fulfilled those quests, the next ones told me to basically just progress through Hamel and onward. Which is now a cake-walk thanks to said new sword and gloves, plus this +9 enhancement scroll I got int the mail and immediately put on my new sword.

MapleStory’s gonna be on hold until I sort this shit out.

MapleStory Update: Killed like 200 boars, got the Fifth Augury. So now in-story, Lumi has mastered the Darkness and working it in tandem with Light, and can actually face Lania now without fear of losing control and harming her. Except there’s snake-people back home, so now Lumi and Vieren are working on fortifying the place.

Elsword Update: Got through Feita as Elsword, now onto Velder. Which is currently on fire. And is continuing to be on fire. Well, shit.

Anyway, Eve is gradually becoming the next character I wish to start, probably once I get Elsword to Rune Master? Currently lvl. 63 rn and leveling fast.

Also, is there any way to increase the rate of boss drops?

MapleStory Update: Finished Breeze Beach and got the Second Augury. The Shrimp Slimes’ death animation of just turning into tempura is one of my new favorite things. Currently in The Streetz to find the Thrid Augury, apparently about 10 levels over the requirement. Must be some EXP boost I used/was given. Oh well.

Elsword Update: New Raid (that I’m still too weak for, ‘cause I started playing like a week ago?) Cinematic’s cool, but use of Knight Emperor!Elsword tells me that that’s his “canon” class and makes me go “Aww...” 

Anyway, this is probably because you can get Rune Slayer at an earlier time than Blazing Heart in Altera, but I was stunned seeing the difference in power between RS and Pyro Knight in one area. I’ve moved onto Feita now, caught up with Elesis.

Elsword Update: Finally! I'm out of Sander! Anduran the Wind Priestess sounds like Mercedes from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Also, I've unlocked my Hyperactive Skill, which nails bosses in one shot (most of the time). And about those gold, blue, and magenta stones (that apparently weren't permanent items), figured them out while in Elrianode and plugged the Shining ones straight into my sword, so now it's got a lot of enhancements.

I'm in Lanox now, and maybe this is because I've gotten a change in scenery after a while, but I like the look of this town the most. Pesop sounds like Hanemann from Three Houses. Also, finally chopping away at the "Sealed Power" Quest.

And looks like we've met Lu and Ciel. I like their deal...even though I can barely hear Ciel.

MapleStory Update: Somewhere outside the Elf School. I think they changed the Light/Dark system for Luminous in the years since I last stopped playing. One, the whole gauge is completely different (which is great, the last one was obtrusive, even though it looked cool) and two, I don't remember Light skills giving way to Eclipse and Dark with Sunfire. Well, I really don't hate it. Before, I did always like to toe the line between the two, and the new gauge is like a push-pull system.

Elsword Update: Completed Elder with Elesis and glt her to Pyro Knight. Bought a pair of cat ears and put them on. Elsword will also get the ears tomorrow. Someone invited me to their guild and I joined up. Stopped in Bethma. I think Elsword's got more defense to his name and I slightly prefer him more than his sister because of that, though Elesis' raw power and flashier moves are pretty cool, too.

MapleStory Update: The Third Augury was surprisingly easy to obtain, just kill a bunch of bats in the subway. The quests to get to the Fourth Augury up in Rien were actually really damn endearing by the end, especially because the NPCs were all penguins, seals, and arctic wolves. That being said, got past level 60, which means class change and new Light/Dark skills, plus fucking Doom Scythe, which I spammed the shit out of during the boss because I just so happened to have it active going in. Currently in Perion about to start getting the fifth and final Augury.

Also, have I mentioned that In-Story Lumi is so dramatic and I love it?

Elsword Update: Just more Feita storyline with Elsword, not much else. Rip Aisha in-story for getting hit with the Mana Eaters.

Elsword Update: *crawling out of the Secret Dungeons* Got...Rune Slayer...Transcendance! Also revamped my skill loadout so that I have more of an MP recovery/conservation focus, which works wonders while Aura of Vitality is active. Aura of Destruction has a bit of that, too with Lodestar, but it's just one vs having Fire Rune and Phoenix Talon being amped. Did away with Triple Geyser, b/c it took out all my MP and I wasn't about that life, in favor of Overs Geyser.

In terms of class-related quests, just have...I think they were called "Sealed Power" and "Forbidden Power" or something like that? "The Ultimate Road", too. And Rune Master promotion, too, obviously. But I'm just gonna progress through the story for those first two. Speaking of the story, misread something ( an event quest?), got a bit confused, fast-traveled to Elrianode, which apparently meant jumping so far ahead in the storyline that I have no idea what's going on or how they got to this point. So now I have to go back and find out for myself (Please don't explain for me, I don't like spoilers for things I'm working on)

Also, anyone know what to do with those blue, gold, and magenta stones? I think that's why I went to Elrianode in the first place....Also, I can't do anything with Denif and this bunch of blue gem armors I got a while back for something I had done, even though that's what the Internet said I should do with them.

MapleStory Update: Currently en route to the Second Augury. Other than that, not much else.

Elsword Update: In the past few days, focused on getting Elsword to Rune Slayer and Elesis to Blazing Heart. Now that both have happend and in the long haul to Rune Master and Flame Lord, contemplating just starting yet another character. One a bit more outside the storyline I'm following, unless they happen to all be similar, as much as I'd like to start a Twilight-bound Rena.
