Oooooooooohhh this is hard. Ballad of the Goddess (in it's many forms) always makes me happy but Fi's theme makes me feel SO MANY EMOTIONS. But then there's also that whole bit after Link plays the Oath to Order at the end of Majora's Mask and it's just AHHHHHHHHH! And there's so many great environmental tracks in BotW that I can't even pretend to start with those.

I'm going to take a swing and assume this is about my oc stuff, if not, whoopsie. Either way, thank you so much for this ask I really appreciate it!! This may get long so I'll keep it under a read more.

So I never mentioned in my last post that the name of this story is Starfall Isle because that's the name of the location where the story takes place (side note: I did have to change it because this ask made me realize I should look it up and initially I was going to call it Starfall Isles but that's the name of a location in Flight Rising so I dropped the s). However while I have been thinking about this idea more since the last ask I still don't have a lot of stuff I feel concretely about. I would like it to have some kind of end goal but overall it would be more similar to superhero cartoons where it can be kind of episodic but a bigger plot can start to build up along the way.

The main character's name is currently Kailani Sparks and her hero name is Knight Star. As the name implies she has star related powers such as making stars she can walk and fly on (all Kirby-esque), as well as star-shaped blasts, transforming changes some aspects of her physical appearance as well such as her hair color and the way it glows (though to what degree/duration I have not decided). Her powers will also develop in various ways as the story goes on. Kailani can be a bit bumbling and ditzy but she has a really good heart and fast reflexes and she will fight you if she has to!

The character I talked about previously is now named Sapphira Reylin (though I am still wavering a bit on her last name) and her hero name is still Cross Rozen. I've started to define her powers a little bit more, she has her demonic form she can transform into, she also has fire and plant related powers (I'm not sure if I want her to be able to element bend them or if its just something she can generate and wield) and with her fire powers comes a bit of a fire resistance, she can also create swords/daggers.

One of the main villains is named Inevitable, she appears in amorphous forms to conceal her identity. Her powers involve her being able to change states of matter, I may have it also that she can change a target's weight and/or how gravity affects it but I don't know since I don't want her to be too overpowered. Personality wise she's very impish and loves toying with others especially Knight Star. Inevitable is also very influential often plotting and playing a hand in the villainous underground. I have some ideas on her civilian life but not many and they'd be secrets anyways since I don't want to give away everything on the chance I hopefully make this a comic or something one day!

Another prominent though less imposing villain is Marsupialia. Her powers allow her to take on the traits from any marsupial she can think of, she doesn't fully transform into the animals but it does influence the way her suit appears as well as give her the ears, tail and claws of the corresponding animal and possibly other traits unique to certain species. I almost forgot to mention that regardless of form her powers include: heightened smell and hearing, as well as her pouch ability. This power allows her to turn any bag into a pocket dimension however she can't put in anything that wouldn't otherwise fit into the bag's opening, so like she couldn't take a car but if it fits it shifts (into her pocket dimension). Marsupialia like Inevitable can be a bit cheeky and likes to mess around with Knight Star, but unlike Inevitable who has a cat and mouse dynamic with Knight Star, Marsupiala has more of a cat annoying another cat type relationship, speaking of: she also is more of a cat burglar type villain. I know a bit more about her civilian self but again, secret.

Then I just have variously fleshed out ideas for other heroes and villains mostly just ideas for powers I think would be interesting such as origami, scissors and plush related abilities. So yeah its a lot of just shifting vibes for these characters and this story but the more I think about it the more I'd like to try and solidify these ideas, so again I appreciate having an excuse to think about it!!

Thanks for asking! Well, yes I am planning to develop their relationship more and probably bring forth some more romantic interactions between them in the future, but I'm still trying to figure out how to settle this in my comic. We all know that the relationship between these gods is very complicated and I would totally like to expand more on this concept, like sure there might be a possibility that they will, at a certain point, be lovers, but in order to get there they will probably go through a very confusing rollercoaster. I mean, you got it, Seth is not called "God of Confusion" for nothing lol

I did some "studies" of their relationship before (it's basically just a bunch of silly drawings I made of them just to test out the chemistry), and read some academic papers before I could make up my mind about it, but I think I've found a satisfying vision in my mind.

The castle cut into the sky, a testament to all that Hyrule had built, a reminder of all it had lost.

Link swallowed, feeling the hair on the back of his neck stand up. This was it. When he had left his village a year ago, when he had waved goodbye to his sister and brother-in-law, he'd only had an inkling of what his journey would entail. When he'd left his village a year ago, he'd been a fisherman, a kid who was going on an adventure with the hopes that he could help rebuild a world that had been destroyed, a child of the Calamity.

He'd grown so much since then. Seen so much since then. Met so many new people, watched the hurts and healings of so many. He'd honed his skill as a fighter, he'd made new family, and...

He'd always known this day would come, but it had always seemed so far away.

All of Hyrule had fallen to the Calamity. Villages and town had been razed to the ground, all the champions had been murdered. Hyrule's greatest warriors had been unable to prevail over the beast, the princess had sacrificed herself just to hold it at bay.

His grandparents had died in the Calamity. His parents had died due to the lack of resources that had come in its wake.

His friend had suffered so much because of it. His new family had lost everything because of it.

"The Champions are with you, Link," his spirit companion said, eyes determined. "We'll defeat him together. You have the sword that seals the darkness, the abilities of the best warriors in Hyrule."

Link nodded, closing his eyes and shutting out the view of the foreboding castle. This was it.

It was time.

Marching ahead, Link opened his eyes, drawing the Master Sword and feeling it hum in his hand, warmth and light surrounding and filling him.

"Where do you think you're going? This field and the city will be covered in guardians."

Link paused, turning back to see the knight who had taught him and guided him since he'd acquired the blade. Abel watched him with a stern demeanor, but the worry in his eyes was evident.

"It's time," Link said solemnly. "The Divine Beasts are free. All that's left is Ganon."

"What was your plan, just going in alone, walking all dramatic while we stand here and watch you with awe?" Lyra asked, crossing her arms and furrowing her brow.

"We're going with you," Abel immediately confirmed.

"But--"

"Don't even try it," Lyra cut in, walking up to him. "I want that beast's blood on my sword. I want to hear it scream."

"Besides," Abel added as he also approached. "I can guide you to him."

Link looked at them uncertainly. "I don't want you to get hurt."

"That's cute," Lyra quipped, walking beyond him. "I was going to say the same thing. Now let's go kick his ass."

Link turned to watch her go, anxiety eating away at him. He was already scared, he--

A hand settled on his shoulder, warm, heavy, and comforting. He looked back and saw Abel watching him.

"I wasn't there to protect my son," Abel said quietly. "I will not make that mistake again. You fight for all of Hyrule, Link. Let Hyrule fight with you."

Link watched him a moment, his eyes stinging, heart swelling with emotion, throat tightening in response. He couldn't adequately express how terrifying this was, nor how relieved he was at hearing Abel's words. He leapt forward, slamming into the knight's chest and wrapping his arms around him. Abel stood there for a moment, stunned, before gently returning the hug.

is often hidden away in their squad's lounge area when on standby for missions, usually handling any sort of files or paperwork

if they're not in the lounge, then they're in the library either working or conversing with noan or simultaneously doing both

expresses their gratitude through actions and gifts rather than words

often seen as very reserved due to only speaking when spoken to when around most people that aren't in their squad

with that being said it's rumored that if you bad mouth any of the cerberus members, whether you noticed their presence (during the bad mouthing) or not they will haunt you in the worst ways possible

another rumor has it that while their smile is generally more comforting than the uh... other members of cerberus.... their smile when confronting those who slander cerberus is more terrifying than the trio combined

how they became cerberus' skk

formerly gray raven's skk, vera carried out her plans of kidnapping coco and make them cerberus' skk, tho rather than coco trying to fight against it, they willingly complied and offered to help w the coverup, even as far as talking to murray directly abt transferring him to be gray raven's skk so that he can finally be alongside lee in the closest way possible. this whole plan took place right around chapter 15, the last spark, after skk successfully returns from atlantis

tl;dr rozen's secrets 10 and 12 came true, murray and gr skk just switch places lol

relationship w vera

vera would always try to tease and make lies to see some sort of idiotic expression on coco's face, but they picked it up rather quickly and would either play along or tease back

vera tends to give most of the paperwork to coco just cause she doesnt want to do it

even tho the two of them have looked at each other's files and vera even going as far as hunting down every little detail abt coco's past, neither of them could really understand each other, nor do they really have the social skills to get to properly have that conversation

despite not really knowing each other to the fullest, the both could at least agree on maintaining the existence of cerberus and their teammates

vera often worries abt coco, but would never outright say it. its not everyday you see an f.o.s. chief be so willing to break every rule they learned when training to be a commandant. she often thinks they're just as reckless as noctis at times if not more than him

despite everything, its still a mystery to vera of why coco was so willing to transfer out of gray raven

relationship w 21

took the most time to adjust to coco

given cerberus now has an on-field skk and 21 needing to be more closely monitored than the others, it took a while for her to be comfortable w having constant m.i.n.d. connections w coco

once 21 fully became comfortable w their presence, she'd ask them to join her to watch animal documentaries

indulges 21 in her story writing, giving her books and movies from the wgaa for inspiration

coco basically semi-treats 21 like she's their daughter

relationship w noctis

noctis was the most excited out of the 3 when coco officially became cerberus' skk

also was the least obedient when it came to listening to coco due to his very "lone wolf" mindset at times

to get him to listen, coco decided to attach a leash on him, in which vera's initial reaction was of both amusement of coco's stupidity and disbelief that it'd actually work

much to either of their surprise, it did work 💀 which made vera and 21 laugh their asses off over how noctis could be easily tamed w a rather small and albeit dumb trick

nowadays coco carries the leash as an intimidation factor for noctis to behave

out of the 3, noctis is the one that spends the most time w coco, considering his reputation of being obnoxious has led to him being held back on quite a few occasions and have coco watch over him while vera and 21 go on missions as per nikola's orders. during those times, coco would need to do a remote connection and would update noctis over what's going on

calls each other "partner" when not on missions/formal occasions

cerberus on-field

while coco is on-field alongside their teammates, they tend to let the trio complete missions in whatever method they're most comfortable w, only intervening when asked by the members or if a certain method will create too drastic of a casualty

coco's main job is to give a brief overview of the mission and clean up the trio's mess/deal w the aftermath, they'll often do other small tasks in the meantime while the trio handles the bigger (and supposedly more "fun") tasks

a lot of other commandants would comment abt this tactic being "lazy" since coco doesn't appear to do all that much on the surface, only for coco to retort w "ok so why don't you be cerberus' commandant for a day and show me how i'm supposed to act" with a shit-eating grin on their face which makes the others immediately take back their statement and shut up abt how coco operates as a commandant. the trio (if around) would also chime in and scare the others even more than what coco initially intended

some other bits that idk where to categorize them in

earpiece would almost always have music playing

coco's reputation slowly deteriorated over time. a once beacon of hope now often seen as someone who's fallen from grace

the unapproachable nature of cerberus made people believe that coco, as a former gray raven commandant, would try to "fix" them, only to find out that coco fully embraces and encourages cerberus' behavior, which made the whole squad more terrifying than before

coco now often refuses to partake in any sort of mission that would make them go solo (i.e. constructs from cerberus wont be joining directly alongside them), stating things like "there are many other commandants out there that can easily perform just as well if not better than them" and "only cerberus can fully guarantee their safety"

I like a lot of things,but mostly whimsical, folksy aesthetics,forests and plants, and glowy flowers and things like wisp motifs (there's no limit actually).My favourite colours are,as you might have guessed, the multitude of shades of red, deep maroons and browns. I love fantasy,and folk tales and Celtic things in general have been my passion for a long,long time ,though I also love things inspired by Alice in Wonderland .

As far as music goes...I sang soprano at a choir for a larger part of my teenage,and choral music is very close to my heart. My favourite genres of music are Celtic, especially Irish traditional, new age, classical/neo classical, sea shanties,and whatever Yuki Kajiura and Mili have going on.

Now...art! When not doing fanart,I like drawing fantasy illustrations, and one day I'd like to illustrate books but that's a pipe dream. I'm self taught,and use mostly watercolour and ink. I also love sculpting. It started with trying to sculpt figures and while that's still what I do most,I sculpt other things too,and in general it has to be the favourite of my scores of hobbies . I also do bookbinding...and music box strips ...and doll customs...yeah there's no rhyme or reason to what I do and don't actually.

Sometimes I post photos of plants,I like taking photos and smelling wet mud

What fic surprised you with how much interaction it got this past year? The Incident. I didn’t think I’d get so much interaction from kidnapping Silver and Shy’s AU? Or even New Apartment New Landlord. I’m surprised that people outside the popcorn-devouring crowd who watched Silver and Shy bounce reblogs off each other would care about it?

What fic surprised you with how little interaction It got this past year. Either Betrayal? Or Minish Gifts, see below.

So with both most and little interactions—the gifted fics all did and usually do really well. Partially because in gifting them, it brings all the really popular writer’s readers over to read it? The not-gift fics never do as well. I probably need to tag better or something but… that’s effort and brain is more interested in screaming.

Do you have playlists for any of your fics or wips?

I could really use one. I have a Spotify playlist that’s just instrumentals (mostly OSTs and fan-covers) that is nice when I’m writing or in the mood to write. That’s about as close as I can get. Anything by Rozen or TSFH is great.

I do have specific songs tied to things though. I have to pull up Sound the Bugle if I’m trying to work on Town of Traitors for example.

Or Song of Healing (both versions) ended up happening because I listened to that one cover on repeat.

Lullaby for a Hero and Wild Heart both do fun things bouncing around my brain, maybe I should find fics for those when I can get the creative juices back for more potential fics?

What fic are you most excited to post in the coming year?

I want to publish at least one of my long projects. Either Twilight/Abandonment (really should officially rename it), Town of Traitors or Puppet Lullaby. One of them is all. More would be fantastic.

1 - How and when did you first get introduced to the fashion ?

Sometime during my middle-school years, around 2008-2009 I think. I was already into other alt-fashion like emo and goth and I was really into manga (especially Rozen Maiden, Yamato Nadeshiko and a bit later on, all the Kaori Yuki). I became slowly aware of what was lolita fashion and by 2010, I was obsessed. I was only able to start actually wearing it in 2013 though 😔 It wasn’t financially feasible for me before that.

6 - Do you have a favorite lolita/does anyone inspired you ?

I used to be a huge fan of Princess Peachie. She had a few coord pictures on DA that I loved and I was extatique when I found out she had a youtube channel (with like, 5 videos at the time, none of them are available anymore and it makes me a bit sad 😔).

Nowadays, I don’t have any specific inspiration. I do love to see everyone coords and signature style (your always red hair accessories for example ♡), especially among the old school lolita community.

This blouse !

It’s a BtSSB but I don’t know the name of it, probably one of the many pintucked blouses they made between 2005 and 2010. I got it around January I think. I needed an old school blouse in ivory with a peter pan collar to go with one of my dresses and it was surprisingly hard to find.

15 - Do you have an unpopular opinion about the fashion ?

I already talk about how I wanted lifestyle lolita to be back which I think is a bit unpopular as an opinion ^^’

I also like lolita skirts that are on the shorter end of the lolita spectrum (while still being lolita of course). I’m more into above the knees looks than below the knees looks. It might be because I’m short so longer lolita skirts look weird on me 😔

May I ask about this OC?

AAAh! Yes, I'm so touched!! (For anyone curious this ask is about this post). So this character and the concept she comes from both are still really malleable and aren't as active as some of my other concepts (though I was thinking about it recently funnily enough). But so she comes from a superhero concept which I believe I initially called "Only Villains Like Me" because the main character has several villains who like and/or crush on her, (I did change the title because while I like the silliness of the original title it didn't really fit the vibes I wanted and I don't think I'll actually stick to the idea that every villain will like her).

That is why I wanted to make it so that the first superhero the main character meets/works with does not like her and that's where the aforementioned post comes in. My character's superhero name is Cross Rozen (I have to come up with a civilian name for her because I was initially going to have it be Rosa Cross as a joke to how oblivious the general population is but I think I'd rather stick more to how her character would be too smart to do something that dumb). I can't remember if I ever settled on powers for her (aside from flight) but I do know that her powers give her a demonic appearance. This paired with her generally stoic demeanor and the main character's airheaded nature lead the main character to wrongfully assume she's a villain. Cross isn't easily offended and she is used to people misjudging her based on her appearance but she still gets irked by the main character falling into the same pitfall. Overall Cross is smart, tactical and caring, even with being annoyed by the main character's blunder she still works with her and takes on kind of a big sister role at times. Wow I was not expecting to write this much. This ask was not only fun but it really makes me want to work on her character more! Thanks so much for the inquiry Ins-Illu!!
