You know a trend noticed: gay men will just be absolute besties with women, but hate the shit out of straight cis men.
Ya know what's even funnier? If the TWST boys are just nice/polite/very respectful to the disney princesses but the second an RSA counterpart gets within a two mile radius there's a fucking manhunt.
Also my theory is that all the gays end up at NRC while all the straights or stuck in the closet go to RSA.
It's just like this:
NRC with princesses: oh dear oh dear gorgeous
NRC with male counterparts: you fucking donkey!
Well who is gay or not is up to the viewers eyes (although I do think Cater and Trey are great together)
Also do I sense a Gorden Ramsey reference 🤔
So when it comes to the princesses they try to be polite to them considerung they are royalty and they dont wanna be rude to people who are historical figures.
I think about every Disney Character is a historical figure in TWST, but that is just my opinion
But when it comes to RSA.....yeah they are not so friendly or atleast more passive aggressive, due to losing against them at every event
The RSA boys are almost completely oblivious to it
Yuu is pretty much neutral about it. They are nice to the princesses and nice to the RSA boys, because honestly they dont care for their rivaly.
Its their fault if they cant change their strategy and work together to win 🙄

There was no way you would be able to say 'no' now, not when there were hundreds of Royal Sword Academy students and even more members of a random royal family whose last names you cannot recall waiting outside that door. Aside from a completely oblivious Neige and Che'nya who was nowhere to be found, there was no one you could really ask for help to get you out of this mess.
You turn to your supposed betrothed with frantic eyes, shaking your head wildly. "I already told you, I'm not the one you danced with at the ball!" Your hisses fell on deaf ears. That damned prince from Royal Sword Academy was too busy making the 'goo-goo' eyes at you to even register what you were saying.
"I just happened to have the same shoe-size!"
Damn it, why did you have to agree to fitting some missing girl's shoe?!
Pierce Charmant, possibly the most delusional guy you have ever met in Twisted Wonderland, clung onto your calf with a stubborn expression. He had no intentions of letting you go, and neither did his five other guards that had blocked your way.
"You have to be her!"
"You don't even know my name!"
You were really counting on Grim to get someone, anyone, to stop this wedding. Yet, as you are walked down the aisle by the fair Neige, you are already planning out a divorce settlement plan. Based on the number of guests here, who had filled this entire venue from top to bottom, you would have guessed that this prince was rather rich. If it was to be an unhappy marriage, at least your wallet would be more than compensated.
You managed to convince this prince to send invitations to Night Raven College, but that didn't matter. He was so excited and in a hurry to marry, that your friends barely had any time to rescue you! There must have been so much traffic with the mirrors that they couldn't even use them! There was just no way that they'd make it in time now.
And so you consign yourself to readying some divorce papers within the next few weeks, and planning out how to avoid any more interactions with this guy while you were married.
You stood at the chapel's base, your expression exasperated than ever as you kept darting your gaze to the door. You've already tripped over the aisle a few times, fumbled the scripted vows, and even called for a bathroom break or two to stall.
And now comes the big moment that you were so desperately trying to avoid.
"Would you, Pierce Charmant, take the Ramshackle Dorm Prefect, as your lawfully wedded wife?"
The prince smiles so sickly sweet, and its the look of a man who won't change his mind.
"I do."
You grimace as the officiant faces you, just as blind to your annoyed expression.
"Would you, the Ramshackle Dorm Prefect, take Pierce Charmant as you lawfully wedded husband?" They didn't even use your name!
You pause, the image of your crush flashing before your eyes.
You would never see him again if you let yourself get married. Defiance returns to your face as you suck in a deep breath, ready to deal with the consequences of rejecting this delusional prince in front of hundreds of people.
"I—"
"I object!"

RIDDLE ROSEHEARTS
"Grim, please explain to me why I received an invitation to the Prefect's wedding... I am calm, Trey. I would just prefer to know the details before I go and fetch her myself... and may I ask one more thing? Yes, hoW IN THE WORLD DID THE PREFECT GET KIDNAPPED LIKE THIS?! DON'T YOU DARE TRY TO CALM ME DOWN, CATER. I AM PERFECTLY CALM."
Riddle calmly asked about your whereabouts, and it does not take him long to immediately get to work. As one of the better respected housewardens among the roster, it was easier to ask for a few favors that could get him to that damned cathedral fast. However, as the traffic did pile up to get to this accursed wedding, Riddle finds himself on horseback.
He does have this awful crush on you, but it never really crosses his mind. Even as he holds certain feelings for you, it's at the back of his mind. Riddle values your autonomy, and this marriage was a massive red flag. Surely, you cannot have possibly agreed to such a thing. It was just not in your nature. You would have protested, and the fact that you are not back in campus means that something is preventing you from speaking your mind. Riddle really respects you in this aspect!
Still, the idea of you marrying some prince who barely knew it was absolutely absurd. Riddle won't allow it, he absolutely won't!
The doors were flung open with a loud thud, revealing a red-head in a suit. Much to your surprise, Riddle isn't burning red with a fiery rage and threatening to have everyone's head off. He's stomping towards you and your supposed groom, fist clenched as he throws out an arm out of anger. He doesn't seem too angry, but determined.
"ENOUGH! SHE WILL BE COMING BACK TO NIGHT RAVEN COLLEGE WITH ME NOW."
Okay, maybe you were wrong about him not being angry.
His voice echoes throughout the entire cathedral, followed by several flinches at his sheer volume. Immediately, the crowd by the rows inch back a bit further as he continues to march forward, ignoring the guards that seemed to hesitate to approach him. Pierce raises a brow, almost annoyed rather than fearful of this disturbance.
"There seems to be a misunderstanding. You see, the Prefect is going to be married to me. You can sort out your affairs after the ceremony is over." Well, that didn't seem to help one bit, judging by how Riddle seemed to fume even further at this statement.
The housewarden comes to a halt, sucking in a sharp breath to calm his temper. The last thing he wanted to do right now was to frighten you.
He breathes out your name, sending a stutter through your heart.
"Do you truly want to marry this man?"
It almost makes you swoon, the way Riddle looks at you so earnestly as he asks for some affirmation. Had it been any other scenario, you would've taken your time to bore your eyes into his and study his expression. Instead, you shake your head wildly, racing down the aisle until you have hidden yourself behind him.
Riddle has the nerve to smirk at the shocked Prince. "And here, I thought princes had a code of conduct when it came to their ladies." He turned back to you with an assuring look. "I'll take you home, Prefect."
Truly, Riddle had no intentions of playing around. He had only one objective, to get you out of here. Just as he turns around to escort you out of the cathedral, a pair of guards had blocked the exit.
"No, I cannot let you leave!" Pierce cried out, ready to give chase. "Prefect, please! Give me a chance. You cannot possibly be ready to leave me for... this guy!"
Riddle's eye twitches as he cranes himself to look at the prince. "You have some nerve!" He clicks out, clenching his fists once more. Everyone feels the cathedral heat up, those closer to the aisles feeling beads of sweat form upon their temples. Even as you looked at Riddle so gently, a part of you was somewhat grateful that he was sticking up for you.
Just as his top was about to blow, you muster the will to tug on Riddle's sleeve. As quickly as his reddened face came, it disappears when he glances back at your soft expression. Huffing out a heavy sigh, Riddle clicks his tongue and marches towards the exit.
"Let's be on our way, Prefect. We shouldn't waste our precious time on these trifles."
Needless to say, no one really wanted to test the housewarden's patience as he escorted you out of that Cathedral. Riddle certainly doesn't waste time hoisting you onto his horse and galloping away, not giving the prince a second to try and retrieve you.
He grumbles about the entire ordeal, mostly questioning the absolute ridicule of the marriage. What kind of prince thinks he can get away with it? Riddle is certain to send a complain to Royal Sword Academy regarding their lessons on conduct if no one tries to stop him.
You could easily see Night Raven College from afar as you peeked from behind his tuft of red hair. Riddle is still rambling, a preferable alternative to losing his temper entirely. "That ruffian dares to marry you and has yet to learn your name! How uncouth!" He spat in absolute distaste, and he finds comfort in the way you giggle in agreement.
Riddle doesn't seem to take note of the way your arms are crossed around his middle, or maybe he does, and just chooses not to let his blush show. He cleared his throat, gripping the reigns a bit tighter. "You will find better suitors, Prefect. Just promise me that he wouldn't be so impulsive as that Prince."
TREY CLOVER
"Can you drive any faster, Deuce? No, I don't think we're late. Better safe than sorry! ... Suit, check. Speech, check. Myself, check. I've got everything in order, but... hah, I'd expect to do this type of thing a few years down the line, let alone object at a wedding at all. At least, it's the Prefect's wedding... That's such a weird thing to conceptualize at this point in time."
He really didn't have to be so dramatic about the entire thing, but Trey is really going all-out for this objection. Really, all he's done is seen movies where someone objects at a wedding and while he knows its entirely fictional, our boy here has to drive the point home; no one is marrying the Prefect today.
So that explains why he even bothered to dress up and rehearse a speech throughout the entire ride to the cathedral. He has Heartslabyul helping him out to secure an escape for you in case things went awry. Sure, Trey's Unique Magic won't come in handy but he's good with his words, and is relatively charismatic. He's earned that title of Vice Housewarden, after all.
All that preparation flies out the window when he sees you down the aisle, however.
"Trey?"
He's blinking profusely, almost flustered himself by how radiant you looked in that wedding dress. For a moment, Trey swears that he's had some sort of tunnel vision when all he seems to see is you. It strikes some envy in him when he reminds himself that this wasn't his wedding, and this wouldn't be yours either.
"Prefect..." Trey breathed out, struggling to recall the damn script he was supposed to follow. They are lost, just as he found himself lost in your sparkling gaze.
Screw the script, he was just going to have to wing this one.
He narrows his eyes onto the shocked prince, taking steps down that long carpet. "I've come to bring you back to Night Raven College."
Pierce raises a brow, glancing back at you and the intruder with suspicion. "On what grounds?" He questions snidely, uncertain of what to make of this new character. "If it is for anything trivial, then you may bother the Prefect later. You are obstructing a ceremony here, sir."
You recognize that dangerous glint behind Trey's eyes, and it only serves to make your heart race. Trey simply smirks, hiding away his hesitant exterior with a haughty farce. "I am afraid it cannot wait. I cannot allow the Prefect to be married without saying my piece."
He doesn't exactly know where all his bravado was coming from, but if he had to confess his feelings to you now, then so be it.
Trey looks at you, flashing a gentle yet sheepish smile. "Prefect, I fell for you. Hook, line, and sinker." You let out a dramatic gasp along with the onlookers, allowing a hand to fly to your parted lips. "I have harbored those feelings for a long time now, and I cannot bring myself to see you married without letting my heart be known."
Swallowing to himself, Trey's expression falters slightly, falling into one of softness. "Prefect, it is your happiness that I desire. No matter what happens, I will support your choice."
He didn't exactly have to tell you twice, not when you hurry yourself over to his side and latch onto his arm. You didn't have to feed his ego like that, but it isn't as if Trey had any room to complain.
Pierce is angered by the sight, glaring daggers at Trey with such envy and animosity. "Prefect, are you really leaving me on the altar?" As if to subtly annoy the prince even further, Trey hooks an arm around your waist and pivots you to turn. "It seems to be so, Prince Pierce. I fear that your beautiful bride will be stolen on this lovely afternoon."
You do not miss the way Trey smirks at your flustered expression. Just as he continues to walk you to the exit, you gritted your teeth at him. "Don't say such things!" You tell him as the heat rises to your cheeks. You hear him hum at your ear, followed by the slight press of his fingers on your hip.
"Why shouldn't I? You look beautiful in this dress," Trey murmurs in your ear, pushing the cathedral door open with his hand. "And I suppose that the prince hasn't coaxed this expression out of you. I almost feel sorry for him, that he never got the chance to see how lovely you are when you are putty in my hands."
Trey doesn't stop teasing you, even once you are back in Night Raven College. He wouldn't stop complimenting you either, aiming to have you as red as possible. He just can't help it. It's probably the high he got from confessing his feelings to you, or maybe it's the part where you're unsure if he was being sincere or not. Regardless, it was fun seeing you get all flustered because of him.
You are seated by the Heartslabyul's kitchen counter, snacking on some quick treats that Trey had prepared for you. He claims that it was a consolation for the fact you never got to taste your own wedding cake. Still clad in your grand wedding dress, you couldn't exactly care any less about the crumbs soiling the skirts. "You're no prince charming, Trey." You mentioned mid-bite, eyes glancing at the vice-housewarden who was seated across from you.
"What makes you say that?" He asks you with a slight smile, resting his chin on his palm as he shamelessly bored his gaze into yours.
You snort, rolling your eyes at his seemingly sweet disposition. "Prince Charmings don't tease the girls that they like until they're as red as Riddle." You huffed, digging your fork into the pastry. "You cruel man! You haven't stopped ever since you stole me from the prince!"
Trey chuckles, and you cannot keep yourself from gulping as he leaves his seat, sauntering towards you like a lion would his prey. "Oh? I suppose that I am no Prince Charming. I'm not a pure white knight either. If you think I am being cruel, I won't stop you, sweetheart."
Your heart stutters as he slides a finger underneath your chin, tilting your head so that your forced to look his way. Trey smiles at you, eyes twinkling with absolute mischief. "I highly doubt Prince Charmings steal kisses from their crushes either. For you, I will be kind. May I, sweetheart? I do not need your shoe size to know my feelings for you, at least."
CATER DIAMOND
"Gah, it just refreshed! They've just gotten past the walking part! Deuce, shortcut on your left! Sorry, I'm switching tabs between maps and the livestream! Prefect looks is such a cutie in that dress, it makes me so envious of the prince! Oh well, she really looks like she doesn't wanna be there anyways. I'm coming Prefect! I'll save you!"
There's just this image of Cater clinging onto Deuce on a blastcycle, raising his phone up for a signal as they attempt to maneuver their way through the streets. Everything just happened in such a rush, and Cater's scrambling to get to you. He isn't like Trey who bothers to prepare, but if anything, Cater will ramp up the dramatics to the maximum.
His real goal is just to get you out by any means necessary, and more preferably, without violence. So Cater will do what he does best; make a grand spectacle of the entire thing until the prince is forced to abdicate. Worst case scenario, he's going to drag you out the door and shove you onto the damn blastcycle.
If he has to play the part of your real paramour, then he hopes you'll forgive him. He's got the suit and the desperate look on his face ready to go!
Your jaw goes slack at the way Cater makes a dramatic run for the aisle, somewhat unused to that stricken expression on his face. You're almost concerned for him with the way he grips his knees, attempting to keep his balance as his eyes zone in onto yours.
"Prefect, you can't marry him!" It's too out of character of Cater, and you know better than to think he'd ever be this undone in public. "Is this what you really want?!" Before you could even reply, Pierce cuts in with a slight glare.
"And who are you to talk to my bride like that?" It is then when you catch wind of that mischievous glint in Cater's eye as he throws out his arm dramatically.
"I am the Prefect's sweetheart! Who are you to take my girlfriend like that?"
You have never heard the cathedral go so silent. You are utterly speechless, lips parted with absolute surprise. Clearly, judging by the way sweat had begun to form on the side of Cater's temple, you cannot help but think that this was all improv on his half.
Pierce turns to look at you, almost stricken by the ginger's declaration. "Prefect, is that true?" His voice trembles with fear. "Is that truly your... sweetheart?"
A part of you feels a bit sorry for what you were about to do, but you had to remind yourself that you had been dragged into a wedding on the same day you met this prince.
You are running now, sprinting to Cater's side as you clutch his hand in your own. Turning back to the scandalized prince, you nod firmly, playing along with the farce. "We've been dating for a long time now! And I'm in love with him!" You declare, sending gasps throughout the entire cathedral.
You glance up at Cater, mustering a smile across your features. "You came to save me!" He's almost surprised by the way you cling onto him even harder, but it only serves to sell the act even further. Cater smiles in return, holding you closely. "I'd never let you go, cutie. I love you too much to let you leap into the arms of another man."
Maybe the act is too good, too calculated. That is exactly what goes through your head as Pierce raises a brow in suspicion, narrowing his eyes onto the pair as if attempting to spot a mistake. "Is that so?" He murmurs until he crosses his arms, disbelief on his skeptical expression.
"Prove it."
Cater and you freeze up simultaneously, heads turning to glance at one another. He looked so caught off guard by Pierce's demand, and there's so many eyes on you both.
"You're both longtime sweethearts, right? I wouldn't want to split apart such a happy couple..."
Cater is staring at you, attempting to read your expression. It's difficult, especially when you look at him as your gaze gets even more glossy. He wouldn't want to do anything you didn't want to, and he's already readying himself to sprint out the door with you in tow.
"Prefect, you don't have to—mmph!"
You wasted no time in snaking your arms around his neck, pressing your lips against him with such boldness. He could feel you pour all your wants and longings into the kiss, the plush of your soft lips melding into his own. How could he not deny you his own affections, not as he cups your cheeks with his slender fingers and presses back against you.
He dares to go even further, pulling back for a slight gasp of air before diving back into you. Much to his delight, you aren't pulling away either, choosing to even entangle your fingers into his hair for leverage.
Then you hear a groan from the prince, followed by his pleas for you two to stop this display. It seems that he got the point now, at least.
Even as both of you exit the cathedral, Cater still maintains the image that he was your boyfriend. You don't exactly protest, and even then, it didn't seem to different to the way Cater had been treating you as a friend. He is still as clingy as ever, closing the physical proximities by having you hang onto his arm.
And you best believe he's snapping as much photos of you to commemorate the event. He's already updating his MagiCam account on his success, not to mention the pretty girl on his arm.
"Cater, what are you doing?" You asked, unable to hide the grin on your face as Cater sets up his camera against the tire of the blastcycle. You could see yourselves on the reflection of the device, followed by the grand beauty of the cathedral behind you both. He grins at you as he shifts at your side.
"What? It isn't everyday a cutie like you gets to look like a bride. We got the perfect backdrop!" He sings, sliding an arm around your waist as he strikes for a pose. You follow his lead, matching his energy with each shot.
"Careful! People are going to think we're dating for real!"
Cater smirks at you, leaning in closely to your ear with a sickeningly sweet tease. "Wanna make it official then, cutie? Can't have any random princes asking for your hand, not when you're dating me." He is not stranger to the way you blush, letting out a chuckle at the sight.
"Aw, cutie! Are you still thinking about the kiss? I didn't think you would be so bold about it." Pressing a quick peck on the cheek, he rests his chin on your head as he prepares for another pose. "Don't worry. CayCay's gonna initiate it next time!"
DEUCE SPADE
"Grim, which way?! I can't see the GPS! ... Don't I just have to go in there and yell 'I object'? It looks easy! I'll say it then drag Prefect out of there... Ha?! I need to prove that I have a good reason to get her out? Fine! I don't care, the Prefect needs me!"
Possibly the closest we will get to a legit Prince Charming. Perhaps Deuce is a bit on the rugged side, but he's possibly one of the most earnest and noble students from Night Raven College. He cares about you more than he cares about getting his feelings across, but that is not to say he won't be honest about it either in this confrontation.
He's not exactly sure on how to break up the ceremony. Grim and Ace are coaching him through what to say, and admittedly, the process seems too complicated. All he knows is that he has to run through those doors and convince the prince to not marry the Prefect by any means necessary.
"Deuce!"
He is the one to always come running at the sound of your name. Deuce had been someone you trusted during your stay here in Twisted Wonderland, and you never seemed to stop and think about just how attached that boy was to you. Sure, you held him closely as a friend and held affections for him, but the way he sprinted towards you was a testament to how much he cared.
"Prefect!" You are racing to meet him halfway, launching yourself into his chest. He catches you barreling into his suit, immediately wrapping his arms around you in a protective manner. Then he takes you by the soldiers, looking down at you with such concern and worry. "Are you hurt? Are you okay?" He fusses, earning a shy smile from you.
"I'm okay, Deuce. I'm okay."
"And what is the meaning of this?"
Catching sight of the infuriated prince, Deuce beckons you to stand behind him. Cerulean eyes narrow onto the groom with animosity, accompanied by the way his hands are itching towards his wand. "I can't let you marry her. The Prefect will be returning to Night Raven College with me." You can sense the nervousness in his tone, but Deuce remains firm in his words.
Pierce's eye twitches, and he scoffed in disbelief at Deuce's protective display. "I am afraid that cannot be possible. I am marrying the Prefect, and that is final." Clicking his tongue, Pierce rolls his eyes and holds out his hand for you to take. "Come, darling. I am not surprised that you have garnered the affections of an admirer, but I fancy you more than this one ever could."
Something in Deuce snaps as he lets out a cry.
"But I love her!"
You stiffen against his back, taken by surprise by Deuce's sudden confession. And the boy glares, and it almost so painful for Pierce to keep his stare, not when there was so much conviction and certainty behind Deuce's voice.
"I've loved her longer than you have, and known her much longer than that!" His voice cracks underneath the emotional turmoil bubbling within him. "Did you even stop to consider what she wants? Did you wonder if this wedding would make her happy in the first place?!"
You take note of how Deuce's fists are clenched pale, how his breaths had suddenly grown haggard. With a soft expression, you curl yourself onto his back, arms hugging him from behind in an attempt to placate him. His body stiffens against your hold, but he reaches to clasp your hands onto his own.
He is just thankful that you aren't seeing the way his eyes had begun to water at the thought of losing you entirely. "So please," He chokes out, expression twisted with a sort of agony.
"Please don't force her to marry you. She deserves so much more than that."
Thanks to the waterworks that Deuce had caused, the wedding was called off. There was just no way that the prince could marry you after Deuce poured his heart out to deter him from wedding you.
It's almost sweet, the way that Deuce lifts you onto the blastcycle and fixes the helmet onto your head. He encourages you to hold onto him tightly as he speeds away from the cathedral, all the more determined to settle you back into NRC.
By the time he's dropped you off at the Ramshackle Dorm, only then does he take the time to bask in how radiant you appeared in a wedding dress. Thinking about his crush in a wedding dress had never crossed Deuce's mind before, but this definitely gave him something to ponder about for the next couple of nights.
You are handing him the helmet, a shy smile surfacing across your features. "Thank you for saving me from that awful wedding." Deuce clears his throat, shifting his gaze as he takes the helmet from your grasp. "I didn't want you to do something you weren't willing to. It just isn't right."
He doesn't realize just how dry his throat as gotten when he cannot bring himself to keep his thoughts to himself. "I love you. I really do, and I wish I said it at a better time." He swallows to himself, letting the embarrassment burn into the back of his head as he recalls his declaration. It was only natural that 'like' would turn into 'love' after being your close confidant for this long, pining quietly during the months spent with you.
You cannot exactly blame him either, not when his feelings were entirely reciprocated. You shift on the balls of your heel, biting onto your lower lip.
And in a swift motion, you lean in to press a chaste kiss against Deuce's warm cheek. You pull away to bask upon the stunned expression on his face, only to give him a shy smile of your own.
"Would you be down to try confessing again tomorrow?"
ACE TRAPPOLA
"BAHAHAHAHA! THERE'S NO WAY THE PREFECT IS GETTING MARRIED. WHO WOULD EVER WANNA MARRY THE PREFECT? PFFFFT, GRIM, YOU'RE SERIOUSLY PULLING MY LEG HERE. YOU EVEN BROUGHT ME A FAKE INVITATION! AIN'T NO WAY THAT SHE— Oh... Wait, really? The wedding is happening right now? ... Oh."
Ace thought you were just messing him again for that one time he said that no one would ever be interested in you. He simply said that to discourage you from trying to pursue a relationship with anyone else, but he didn't mean for you to prove him wrong like that! He never believes Grim until Deuce, Riddle, and the rest of Heartslabyul receive invitations to a wedding that was meant to start in 3 hours.
This is the absolute worst time to be in denial about his feelings. The Prefect wearing a wedding gown is one thing, but another is the fact that the groom is some pompous prince from Royal Sword Academy. Does that guy seriously think he was your type? No way! Ace knows you better than anyone on this campus, so this guy can buzz off!
A part of him did think that you were serious about marrying this stranger. In all fairness, Crowley's allowance pales in comparison to whatever Mr. Money-Bags had over there. He wouldn't blame you if you were marrying the guy for money.
Still, the last thing he wants is for you to be whisked away to who knows where. Ace would never see you again, and as embarrassing as it sounds, he did get very attached to you. Yes, a part of him wants to keep you to himself, but he also values your autonomy here. And if he knew you that well, he knows that you wouldn't want to be married off like this.
"Prefect, I'm here to pick you up."
You are actually surprised by how princely Ace looked in that moment. Dressed in a suit befitting a groom, you could help but feel your breath stolen away once his scarlet eyes were pinned onto yours. You could have been fooled then, and perhaps, Ace did turn into a prince as he marched down the aisle with his arm outstretched for you to take.
Ace never realizes the way a victorious smile creeps onto his face when you break out into a grin, taking the skirt of your dress as you make run for it. The crowd gasps as you crashed into Ace's chest, and he does not hesitate to take a protective stance in front of you. With a haughty laugh, he smirks at the baffled prince. "Who are you?!"
The redhead's arm wraps around your waist, pressing your body closer to his own. "Sorry about that, but I'll be taking your bride indefinitely! Trust me, you'll be severely disappointed after spending one good day with her!" He snickered, much to your horrified expression. You lightly smack at his chest, glaring at him with that pout that he adores so much.
"Hey!" You whine, and Ace simply beams at the prince who hesitantly steps forward. The redhead snorts, rolling his eyes at the crowd that are offended at his immature display. "I'm doing you a great favor here! If you kissed those lips, she'll turn into an ugly green ogre by sunset!"
"HEY!"
Pierce's eyebrows are furrowed as he looks at you, as if pleading for you to return to his arms. "You'd best return her, boy. We can settle this maturely." Ace does not like the way that these bodyguards are eyeing him, shifting closer and closer as he backed you both towards the venue entrance. He never falters, and neither does that shit-eating grin on his face.
"Sorry, buddy. The clock's struck midnight and all your magic tricks are fading!" He barks. Now, he knows that an escape must be made. The last thing he wants is to have another Eliza-episode. He looks down at you with a wide grin, clasping you arm with a firm squeeze.
Ace sneaks into his pocket, still looking at you. "You know something, Charmant? Maybe not all the magic has gone yet." His hand reveals the Ace of Cards, and it is immediately thrown up into the air.
As the card reached its peak in height, a burst of smoke filled the air, obscuring the magician and yourself from view.
You don't exactly need a signal to start running when your feet began moving on their own, dashing towards the door followed by the Ace's laugh and the prince's demand for guards.
Ace has no white horse, but he has Deuce with his blastcycle! Who knows how the three of you managed to fit on that bike, but you made it work! The guards couldn't exactly catch up in their cars, not when Deuce was dodging vehicles left and right to make this escape. Ace did take one final look back, sticking his tongue out at the defeated prince before you all disappeared around the corner.
Ace gives you his shoes, despite how oversized they may be. You complained about those glass shoes on you, and to 'shut you up', he's given you his runners.
When you make it back to Night Raven College and all the adrenaline has died down, Ace stays by your side the entire time when you explain the entire situation to Crewel and Crowley. He acts so nonchalant about things, even as you both walk all over the campus like groom and bride.
It's a rather odd sight; you in your wedding gown, and Ace right next to you as you both sit on the bench by the Great Seven's statues. Students wandering about at night had given both of you puzzled stares, but no one is ever surprised when they realize it's you and Ace, however.
"Wow, Prefect. Not even a thank you?" He glances at your slightly annoyed expression, throwing his hands up defensively in response. "I was kidding about the ogre stuff! Really!"
You could only roll your eyes at his words, huffing as you crossed your arms across your chest. When you refuse to speak, Ace sticks out his lower lip into a pout as he leans his head onto your shoulder. "Come on, don't be like that. Are you actually that upset about it?"
There is no response from you, not even a glance as your nose is turned away from him. Then Ace sighs, practically clambering over your lap just so that you are forced to look at him. "Prefeeeect, I said I was sorry! What? Do I have to kiss you to make me apology authentic?"
Only then do you look back at him with a raised brow, almost expectant. Ace blinks with surprise, a slight blush creeping to his ears. "For real? You're serious?" He exclaimed, much to your agitation. You sigh even louder as you shove him off your lap, hastily getting up to your feet to leave him behind.
"Wait! Prefect, I said wait!" You feel a hand on your wrist, twirling you back to face the redhead. Ace bites onto his lower lip, unable to keep the red from flooding his cheeks. "I really just said all that mean stuff to get the prince off your back, you know? I didn't think you'd take it so seriously."
And when he sees that smirk creeping up onto your features, he groans as he leans in closely into your space.
"Now look at what you've done! You had me all panicked over what?" You feel his breath tickling your lips, followed by the way his hands crawl up your neck to cradle your jaw.
"If you just wanted a kiss, you could've asked..."

Unlucky Overtime
Tumblr media
SUMMARY: The Spelldrive game against Royal Sword Academy was very close. But it was in overtime that the teams broke the tie and Night Raven College... lost. They were very upset by this loss and need your comfort even if they deny it.
CHARACTERS: Spelldrive Club 🧹 (Leona Kingscholar; Ruggie Bucchi; Epel Felmier)
TAGS: Fluff; GN Reader; Comfort; Kiss
WORD COUNT: An average of 780 words per character.
COMMENTS: Following the same premise as what I wrote for Basketball Club and Track and Field Club of "What if they lost?"
When I started writing about comforting them when they lose, I ended up finding it more interesting and cute than celebrating when they win. I think it's in the bad times that feelings are most intimate and honest.
When I wrote Epel's part, I was upset about something IRL and it ended up helping me writing him. 😂
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy 😉
OTHER CLUBS:
But… We Lost… - Basketball Club (Ace / Floyd / Jamil)
Romantic Experiment - Science Club (Trey / Rook)
For a Quarter of a Second - Track and Field Club (Deuce / Jack)
A Rainy Walk - Mountain Lover Club (Jade) / Gargoyle Studies Club (Malleus)
In the Backstage - Pop Music Club (Cater / Kalim / Lilia)
Tumblr media
CONTEXT: If there are competitive players who love to win, they are the members of the NRC Spelldrive Club. Leona, Ruggie and Epel especially. They were playing with everything, especially because of the school they were playing against. The game against Royal Sword Academy was very close, as expected.
When the game ended they needed to break the tie and so the game went into overtime. But unfortunately, this did not give your school the victory.
Tumblr media
Leona seemed upset about losing, as did the other players on his team. But even so, he was the calmest in comparison.
They congratulated the RSA students on their victory (or as close to it as possible, if we ignore the slight growls and murderous looks). They avoided unnecessary interactions until they could leave the field.
You know very well how Leona hates to lose, especially when he tries so hard. And so you knew you had to check on him and try to comfort him, even if he says he doesn't want you to.
You go to the locker rooms exit, but you don't see Leona coming out. Many of the players looked at you angrily when they passed by, but knowing how close you were to Leona, they didn't have the courage to even be rude to you directly.
When you see Ruggie, you ask him about Leona. He tells you that Leona left right after he came in, that he went in, grabbed his things and left. He didn't even change his clothes. This worries you and Ruggie.
“You should go check on him.” Ruggie tells you. “And even if he says he wants to be alone, don't listen, okay? He likes your company even if he doesn't like to admit it. I would also warn you not to pressure him, but you already know that.”
“And where do you think he went?” You ask.
“Where do you think he went? Come on, it's not like we don't know his favorite spots.”
You decided to try your luck at the Botanical Garden, and it looks like you were right, but you didn't realize it right away. You go to one of his favorite spots under a certain tree. You look around, but you don't see anyone, until you suddenly see a tail appearing hanging down beside you. You look up and see Leona lying on a thick branch above you.
“I don't need your comfort.” Leona says, without moving and without looking at you. “Go to your dorm. It's late.”
“You wanted me to see you.” You say. “Otherwise you wouldn't let your tail fall beside me.”
“Believe what you want, herbivore.”
His tail was still there by your side and you don't resist to touch it to mess with him. You reach your hand towards his tail, but at the last second it swings, lightly hits you in the face and returns to Leona's lap, away from you. He finally looks at you, but with an annoyed face and growls.
“I'm not in the mood to play. Go away before I bite you... Don't look at me like that.” He adjusts his head again and stops looking at you.
You sit down against the tree trunk. He growls again, but doesn't move. Just like with cats, you'll just stay there waiting for him to come to you. You use your phone or read a book while you wait.
A few minutes later it starts to get colder, you start to notice it and curl up a little. Suddenly something falls on top of your head, you uncover yourself and see that it is a long coat. Leona's captain's coat. You look up and see him in the same lazy position but without the coat and just with the black clothes and belts. You put it on and you start to warm up right away because it was still warm from him having been wearing it.
A few more minutes later and you are startled again by something that falls right in front of you. Or rather, that lands right in front of you.
“Don't you get tired?” Leona asks you, crouching down and looking you in the eyes. “Of being so stubborn?” He has that unbothered, but still slightly annoyed face.
You put down what you had in your hands and stretch your legs on the floor. He gives you a little throat growl. You smile, but he growls at you more, and suddenly he throws himself at you as if he's going to attack you. But he didn't. He stopped very close to your face.
“Yes. I'm angry that I lost.” He says in a low voice. “And that's why you shouldn't have come to me. I don't need pity or words of comfort.”
“Do you really think I pity you?” You ask. “I wasn't worried about you being angry. I was worried that you would fall back into that depressive state of feeling like life is unfair and it's not worth trying anymore.”
His green eyes remain fixed on yours and suddenly he kisses you eagerly. You already know him well enough to know what truly hides behind those roars and tough guy mask. His instinct was to reward you for it.
After he breaks the kiss he lays his head either on your chest or in your lap and hugs you. You are trapped now until he is willing to let you go.
Tumblr media
Ruggie was so angry that Leona had to calm him down. All the NRC players congratulated the RSA players, but clearly only because it was what they had to do. The tension and animosity could be cut with a knife. After that, the NRC players go straight to the locker rooms. You feel like you should check on Ruggie.
You go to the exit of the locker rooms to wait for him. Some of the players who passed you on their way out gave you bad looks, but knowing how close you were to Ruggie, they did nothing more than just grumble into the air.
When Ruggie finally left he was still angry. When he saw you, his expression didn't change much other than being a little embarrassed.
“Hi, sorry, I don't have time.” He apologizes, clearly trying to avoid you, but smiling. “I want to put these clothes in the wash ASAP.” He walks around you and starts going away.
You follow him.
“I was thinking about trying those new donuts from Sam's shop with you.” You say.
You see his ears twitch with interest.
“Yeah... but you know, I'm not really hungry. And since they're new, those donuts are still expensive. I'm waiting for him to lower the price a little.”
“Don't worry, I already bought them for you.”
Ruggie stops! And looks at you in surprise.
“You did?! Why?”
“I wanted to give them to you after the game anyway. You know, for the good game.” You see him pouting. “I didn't buy them as a consolation gift. I did it before the game started. I was going to give them to you even if you had won.”
He seemed more satisfied with that explanation and you took out the box you had in your backpack.
“How come I don't smell it?”
“I wanted it to be a surprise, so I asked Sam if there was a way to hide the scent from you. He used a spell on the box.”
Ruggie asks you if he charged extra for the spell. You said he didn't. Before you open the box, Ruggie suggests that you go to a more chill place. After all, you were still near the locker rooms surrounded by players and spectators.
The Windmill is right behind the coliseum and not many people usually go there. In fact, there was no one else there. The two of you sat on the edge of the stream that surrounded the Windmill. The sound of running water could calm both of you.
You open the box, take out one of the donuts and hold it up to his mouth. He blushes a little, but accepts your offer and takes a bite. You loosen your grip and he takes the donut out of your hand with his mouth.
While he was eating he looked at the water and despite the calming sound his anger returned because of the thoughts that also returned to that game. You could hear him mumbling softly, and see his ears back and his teeth showing.
He finishes eating the donut and stands up abruptly, starting to release his frustration with swearing and cursing to the air, kicking the ground and even pulling up grass. You remain sitting on the floor eating your donut.
As soon as he finishes his emotional outburst, which he always did with his back to you, he finally turns around, dropping his arms and sighing. He kneels down next to you, looks at you with a pout, picks up the box of donuts and takes it from your lap. For a second you think he's going to steal all the donuts for himself, but he sets the box aside and lays his head in your lap as if he's laying it on the pillow after a tantrum. You even hear a dog-like whining. If you pet his head, you might see his tail wagging a little.
The two of you continued eating the donuts as you pet his head and ears to comfort him. When the donuts are gone and the box is empty, he gets up, sitting on the grass next to you. Ruggie looks at you, still a little sad, but calmer and with an affectionate sparkle in his eyes.
He doesn't say anything, he just throws himself into a kiss as a thank you.
Tumblr media
EPEL WAS PISSED!!! Leona and Ruggie had to calm him down. Even RSA players were scared to see someone like Epel like that. Like other NRC players he avoided unnecessary interactions with players from the opposing and winning team.
As soon as they were able to retreat to the locker rooms Epel was one of the quickest to leave the field. You knew you should check on him.
You go to the exit of the locker rooms to wait for him. You see the other NRC players walk past you, angry about losing and when you finally see Epel coming out of the locker room, the expression on his face is the same if not worse than that of his other teammates, even the vein in his forehead was bulging.
But that changes completely the moment he sees you. His shoulders, and consequently his posture, relaxed and he smiled slightly at you, knowing he couldn't fool you with a big smile. He had a bandage on his nose because of the injury he suffered when he blocked a shot with his face during the game.
You walk over to him and carefully place your hands on his face, showing your concern for his injury. He blushes!
“D-Don't worry. I'm fine, I promise... Gah, wait! Vil’s gonna kill me when he sees me like this!” He suddenly worries.
You say that Vil doesn't need to see him so soon and suggest that the two of you go for a walk so he can clear his head a bit. He sighs and accepts your offer, you are usually right at these times.
“I really need to go for a walk. Or a run. Dagnabbit, I don't even know if walking around the entire campus is enough. If we could leave the camps whenever we wanted and I had a Blastcycle, or... OH! What if you come with me for a broom ride?”
“But you just finished a game of Spelldrive.” You say “Are you sure getting back on a broomstick will be good for you?”
“Don't worry, I can separate a game from a ride. Trust me, it will be good to feel the fresh wind on my face.” He gives you a reassuring smile.
He goes to get his broom and you climb on it behind him, holding on to his torso. The beginning of the ride is pleasant, but eventually he starts to speed up until he reaches a point where you squeeze him and ask him to slow down.
“AH! Sorry, sorry, sorry! My mind went back to that game and I got angry again. I must have started speeding up by accident because of that. Sorry... I think we should stop somewhere for a break.”
He lands on the roof of Ramshackle Dorm.
“Sorry again if I worried you.” He tells you after you both get off the broom. But the ride actually helped me a bit.” Suddenly he grimaces in pain and puts his fingers to the bandage on his nose, it seems his bad mood was returning.
You cup his face and kiss his nose lightly. He blushes a lot again and look away from you.
“I wanted you to see us win.” He admits. “I was so excited to know you were watching. I really wanted to make you proud.”
You tell him that you're proud of him, just as Ruggie and Leona probably are too. Who wouldn't be? He always works so hard to improve. And he's still just a freshman, there will be more opportunities to win, he's just starting out. And for a start, you're sure he played better than a lot of freshmen. You finish by saying that he should rest, especially with an injury like that, and you even offer to take care of it for him if he needs.
“Thank you so much, (Y/N).” He smiles sweetly at you. “I promise I'll give you a win next time.”
If you say that you would prefer him to be more careful, his smile and gaze will become even more affectionate.
“I'll try. Although... hum, nothing.”
You say that now you want to know and he blushes slightly.
“I... I was just thinking that... it must be nice to be taken care of by you. I wouldn't mind getting a shot in the face again for that. Ha ha ha.”
If you hug him, he will freeze for a second, but then he will hug you back and you will feel a loving squeeze, as he whispers a thank you. If you let him, he will kiss your cheek after the hug. And if you want, he will continue with another type of kiss.

RSA student A: Neige, have you heard about your twin who attends Night Raven College?
RSA student B: They have quite an interesting story.
Neige: I haven’t had time to watch their interview yet, but I will once I’m done with my schedule.
RSA student A: It wouldn’t be surprising if they actually turned out to be your long-lost sibling.
RSA student B: I think they should transfer to Royal Sword Academy, since they didn’t really think through which school they wanted to attend.
Neige: It looks like they're enjoying their time there.
RSA student A: Well, it wouldn't be bad if they visit us here.
RSA student B: Should we send them an invitation?
RSA student A: That's a good idea! We should tell Principal Ambrose!
Neige: *chuckles*
Ace: Dude— What kind of backstory is that?
Deuce: Did your adoptive aunt really snatch you from the orphanage?!
MC: As I mentioned in the interview, adopting a child was already expensive—but for some reason, the cost doubled when it was my turn to be adopted.
MC: My aunt thought it was absurd, but rather than challenge them legally, she just stole me away in the dead of night.
Ace: And you didn't even question it?
MC: No.
Ace: Wow.
MC: She raised me, provided for me, funded my education, and—before she passed—left me everything she had. Looking back, following her was clearly the best choice I could’ve made.
Ace and Deuce: ...
Deuce: She seems like a kind aunt.
MC: *smiles* She’d never admit it, but yes, she was kind.
Principal Ambrose: Hmm... I'll allow it.
Neige: Really, principal?
Principal Ambrose: *chuckles* Yes! I'll speak to Headmage Crowley and arrange a meeting between you and MC.
Neige: Thank you, Principal Ambrose!

hey so how do you think the house wardens would deal with a s/o who they find out is from rsa. They met outside of colleges. S/o was super nice and there wasn’t any competitive nature once s/o found out where their bf went too, most of the boys bragged at some point about going to their college. S/o is like “oh looks like we go to rival colleges :D”. “If anyone’s got a problem with me dating you they can suck on a lemon for all I care”?

Riddle had always taken pride in his education. Night Raven College was a place of discipline, order, and prestige. So when he found out that his significant other—kind, supportive, and always willing to listen—attended Royal Sword Academy, he wasn’t quite sure how to react.
He finds out by accident when you come over to visit him at NRC. The two of you are sitting under a gazebo in the rose garden, your hands brushing slightly as you flip through a book of classical magic theory.
“You know,” you say offhandedly, “we studied this last year at RSA. My potions professor was obsessed with theoretical applications.”
He blinks. “…RSA?”
“Royal Sword Academy,” you confirm casually, flashing him a peace sign. “Looks like we go to rival schools.”
Riddle stiffens. His eyes narrow ever so slightly, his mind already racing through past conversations—had you ever mentioned this before? How did he miss it?
“You’re from RSA?” he repeats slowly.
“Yup! If anyone’s got a problem with me dating an NRC student, they can suck on a lemon for all I care.”
That derails his internal panic completely. “S-Suck on a—?!” He splutters, scandalized, but your smile doesn’t waver. There’s not a trace of competitiveness in your tone, not a shred of superiority.
You don’t see him as a rival. You just see him.
Later, when he walks you to the mirror, he brushes your fingers with his.
“I suppose… I shouldn’t be so shocked. You’re incredibly capable, regardless of where you study.”
You smile. “Thanks, Riddle. And for the record, I think NRC’s lucky to have you.”
His ears flush red. He huffs. “Flattery is unnecessary… but appreciated.”
─────────────────────────
When you finally told Leona you were from Royal Sword Academy, you expected him to scoff or roll his eyes. What you didn’t expect was the long silence.
You were curled beside him in the sunlit corner of the botanical garden, the warm afternoon breeze rustling your shared blanket.
“Mm, the campus flowers remind me of home,” you murmured. “RSA keeps theirs all organized and trimmed. Very picturesque. I miss it sometimes.”
He cracked open an eye. “RSA?”
“Yeah. Royal Sword Academy.” You stretched. “We’re technically rivals, right?”
He groaned. “You’re one of those goody-goodies in white suits?”
You grinned. “One of them, yeah. But don’t worry, I’m not here to compare your school to ours.”
Leona side-eyed you for a beat. “And you’re dating an NRC student like me, knowing the entire school system paints us as ‘troublemakers’ and ‘delinquents’?”
You shrugged. “You’re hot and smart. If someone’s got a problem with that, they can sit on a cactus.”
He laughed. A real one.
“Damn herbivore,” he muttered, fondness creeping into his voice. “You’re alright.”
And from that day on, he started calling you “RSA brat” with something like pride.
─────────────────────────
The moment you mentioned “Royal Sword Academy,” Azul’s pen froze mid-signature. You were helping him with some Mostro Lounge invoices, sorting papers with a cheerful hum.
“Ah, these contract formats remind me of home. Our student council at RSA uses something similar.”
“…RSA?” Azul repeated, slow and wary.
You looked up, innocent. “Yeah, Royal Sword Academy. Why?”
He went very still. “You’re a Royal Sword Academy student.”
“Technically, yeah. But we met off-campus, remember? You didn’t exactly introduce yourself as NRC’s rising businessman either.”
He stared, calculating. “Do you… intend to use this against me?”
You blinked, confused. “What? No? Azul, I like you, not your résumé.”
He sat back in his chair, processing.
“…You don’t care?”
You leaned forward, resting your chin in your hands. “Nope. You’re smart, dedicated, and always think five steps ahead. I admire that. And if anyone’s got a problem with you being from NRC and me from RSA, they can take it up with the sea.”
His lips twitched. “That’s not how the expression goes.”
“It is now.”
Azul laughed softly. “You’re a very peculiar person.”
You smiled. “You love it.”
“…Perhaps I do.”
─────────────────────────
You never really meant to hide being from RSA from Kalim. The topic just never came up until someone mentioned something offhandedly in passing.
“Wait—you go to Royal Sword Academy?!” Kalim turned to you, eyes wide with surprise.
“Yup,” you said with a laugh. “Didn’t mean to surprise you. I just didn’t think it mattered.”
He grinned. “No way! That’s so cool! We’re like—inter-school sweethearts!”
You blinked. “That’s one way to put it.”
He twirled you around like you were ballroom dancing. “You must have so many stories! And don’t worry, I don’t mind at all that you’re from RSA!”
“Even if people think we’re rivals?”
He shook his head, still smiling. “If anyone’s got a problem with me dating you, they can look away and cry about it!”
You snorted. “Is that your version of telling them off?”
“Yup!” he chirped. Then he pulled you close. “Besides, no school rivalry matters more than how happy I am with you.”
And you knew he meant every word.
─────────────────────────
When Vil found out you were from RSA, he didn’t immediately react. You were seated on a balcony after a shared modeling shoot, your legs swinging over the edge.
“Reminds me of campus,” you said softly. “Our towers at Royal Sword Academy overlook the mountains too.”
His brow twitched. “Royal Sword Academy?”
You blinked. “Yeah. Didn’t I mention?”
He sat back with a sigh. “No, you didn’t. Not that it matters much.”
“Do you… think less of me?”
He gave you a sharp look. “Don’t be absurd. You’re poised, well-spoken, and dress better than most NRC students. I just… didn’t expect that.”
You chuckled. “Well, rivalry or not, I’d pick you every time. If anyone’s got a problem with that, they can go exfoliate their negativity away.”
He smirked despite himself. “You’re ridiculous.”
“Admit it. You like me ridiculous.”
He brushed your hair aside, lips brushing your temple. “You’re tolerably radiant.”
─────────────────────────
Idia didn’t do well with surprises. So when you casually mentioned you were from RSA while gaming with him, he froze mid-button press.
“Wait. You go to Royal Sword Academy?”
You paused the game. “Yeah. Is that… bad?”
His hair flared blue. “Wha—you’re like—my arch-nemesis school!!”
You tilted your head. “So… are you breaking up with me?”
His jaw dropped. “NO?? I mean—no!! I just—I—omg…”
You laughed. “Chill. I don’t care about school rivalries. I care about you. If someone wants to judge that, they can either duel me and my god-built characters or shut up.”
He blinked. “…Okay that’s kinda hot.”
You winked, acting like the love interest in an otome game. “I know.”
He didn’t stop blushing for the rest of the night.
─────────────────────────
Malleus found out when he tried to invite you to a gargoyle lecture and workshop and you hesitated.
“I’d love to, but… my schedule at RSA is packed this week.”
He turned. “You attend Royal Sword Academy?”
You nodded. “Is that… bad?”
He thought for a moment. “No. I’ve always been curious about that institution.”
You smiled. “If it makes you feel better, I don’t care that we’re from rival schools. If anyone has a problem with that, they can go argue with the wall.”
He chuckled. “You are as fearless as ever.”
And when he next walked with you through the moonlit forest, he told you gently:
“School boundaries are mortal things. My regard for you is not so easily constrained.”
You beamed. “Good. ‘Cause I’m not going anywhere.”

how would the Heartslabyul guys react to finding out their s/o goes to RSA? Like they hid it from them because they where scared of finding out 👀
Finding Out That Their S/O Goes To RSA
( ✧ ) ────── boyfriend stories . drama/soft angst - she/her .
- [𝐜𝐡.] riddle . ace . deuce . cater . trey
- [𝐩:𝐬] hurt/comfort . lying . nrc vs rsa rivalry . romantic drama .
Note: I honestly really love the idea of one of the guys dating someone from RSA, cause it just adds so much drama between the two schools (¬‿¬ ). This also turned out to be more angsty then I was kinda hoping Σ(□_□) , but I still liked the outcome.
Riddle Rosehearts
Tumblr media
Riddle wasn’t used to being blindsided. He ran a tight ship—rules, order, discipline. That’s what made things work. That’s how he kept control over chaos. Over disappointment. Over his heart.
So when he saw the letter in your hand—elegant, sealed with the unmistakable crest of Royal Sword Academy—he froze.
You noticed instantly. The way his eyes locked onto it like a hunter spotting prey. “Riddle—”
“Is that from RSA?” His voice was sharp. Measured. A warning bell in his tone.
You hesitated. That was your first mistake.
“…It’s mine,” you said finally, softly. “I… go there.”
His lips parted in disbelief, like you had just told him you were a traitor to his face. “You’re an RSA student?”
“I didn’t tell you because I was scared you’d react like this.”
He stepped back, the red of his hair blazing in the moonlight. “Scared? Then you knew it was wrong.”
“No! I just—” you paused, trying to find the right words. “I wanted you to like me, not where I’m from. You’re so proud of NRC, Riddle. You’re the heart of Heartslabyul. I didn’t think I could ever fit into your world if you knew I was from theirs.”
He looked like you slapped him. “So you lied.”
“I protected us,” you whispered.
But Riddle couldn’t hear it. Not yet. His mind was spiraling. RSA. Trein’s lectures about their rivalry. Crowley’s bitter remarks. Trey’s side-eye anytime the topic came up.
“Every rule has a reason,” he said, almost to himself. “Every truth matters. And you didn’t trust me with yours.”
You felt your throat tighten. “Riddle, I love you. But I was scared that loving me wouldn’t be enough once you knew.”
And then—just for a second—his walls cracked.
He looked at you, truly looked, and the fight drained from his face. “I don’t care that you’re from RSA,” he said, voice trembling. “I care that you thought I wouldn’t fight for you.”
Silence stretched, thick as fog.
“…Would you have?” you asked.
He walked to you, slowly, like stepping through a minefield. Then he took your hand. “Yes. Every time. No matter the badge you wear.” He looked down. “I just wish you believed that.”
“I’m sorry.”
“I’m sorry too,” he whispered. “I should’ve made you feel safe enough to tell me.”
You leaned into him, your head on his shoulder. For once, the rose garden was quiet—no rules, no orders. Just two hearts finally being honest.
Ace Trappola
Tumblr media
Ace always prided himself on being sharp. A quick wit, quicker comebacks, and definitely smarter than he let on. But somehow, you had managed to completely fly under his radar. His girlfriend. His smart, stylish, gorgeous girlfriend, who always had this mysterious glow about her—the one who “went to a different school” and could never study with him on NRC campus.
He thought it was quirky at first. Maybe even hot. But then he saw the badge poking out from your purse when you turned your head to answer a text. That glossy RSA emblem glinting like it was mocking him.
At first, he just… stared.
RSA? Royal Sword Academy? You?
You noticed immediately. “Ace,” you started, that perfect voice suddenly unsure, “I can explain—”
He laughed. Sharp, surprised, almost disbelieving. “So that’s the big secret? You’re one of them?”
You tried to reach for his hand, but he stepped back. It wasn’t anger in his face—it was hurt. “Why didn’t you just tell me?”
“I didn’t want to lose you.” Your voice was soft. “You know how NRC and RSA are. I thought you’d hate me if you knew.”
He scoffed. “I don’t care about that.” He did. Kind of. But not in the way you feared. “I care that you lied to me. You’ve been… what? Pretending to be from nowhere? Slipping out after dates like Cinderella?”
You crossed your arms, frustrated. “I was scared, Ace! You hate those guys. You’ve said it a million times. I didn’t want to ruin what we had just because I’m technically your rival.”
His jaw tensed. “You’re not my rival. You’re my girlfriend. Or… I thought you were.”
Silence stretched between you. The air felt thick.
Then he ran a hand through his hair, muttering, “I can’t believe I didn’t see it. No wonder you always walked with that stuck-up RSA posture.”
You laughed, despite yourself. “Are you calling me stuck-up?”
He shot you a look. “I’m calling you too perfect to be real. Figures you’re from a school that polishes halos.”
“…So do you hate me?”
His eyes softened. “No. I’m just pissed that you didn’t trust me.” He exhaled, long and slow, then finally reached out and took your hand. “But you’re still you. And that’s the girl I fell for. RSA badge or not.”
“Even if your dormmates roast you for dating the enemy?”
He smirked. “I’ll roast them back harder.” He leaned in close, nose almost touching yours. “Besides… we’ll just make it a secret relationship again. Like spies. Or star-crossed lovers. Kinda sexy, if you think about it.”
You giggled, leaning into his kiss. “You’re unbelievable.”
“And you’re mine,” he said. “Even if you do wear that hideous uniform.”
Deuce Spade
Tumblr media
“Tell me the truth. You go to RSA, don’t you?”
His voice was trembling, hands clenched at his sides. You’d never seen Deuce like this—this serious. Like the truth might break him.
You swallowed hard and looked away.
He already knew.
You could see it in his eyes, the betrayal, the confusion. The gears in his head spinning so fast, trying to make sense of the math that didn’t add up.
Your bag had spilled open in his room earlier while you were looking for your perfume. And in that innocent chaos, your student ID had slid out.
Royal Sword Academy.
You hadn’t even noticed until he went quiet. Until he held it up with wide eyes and a stunned expression, like he didn’t believe what he was holding.
And now here you were—standing in Ramshackle’s dusty hallway, trying to figure out what to say.
“…I do,” you whispered. “I go to RSA.”
His jaw tensed. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Because I knew this would happen,” you said softly. “I knew you’d look at me like I was the enemy. And I’m not, Deuce. I’ve never been.”
“But why lie?” he asked, stepping back. “You could’ve just told me from the start.”
“I wanted to. So many times. But then I saw how everyone at NRC talks about RSA—like we’re all spoiled, soft, fairy-tale kids who don’t know how to handle ourselves. I didn’t want you to think I was… less.”
“Less?” Deuce echoed, eyes wide. “You think I’d ever think that about you?”
You looked down. “You’re proud of this place. Of who you’ve become here. And I didn’t want you to think I was just playing pretend in your world. I didn’t want you to feel like I didn’t belong with you.”
There was a long pause. Deuce stared at you, shoulders still tense.
Then, in a quiet voice: “I don’t care what school you go to. I care about you.”
You looked up, surprised.
“I mean, yeah, I’ve always been a little competitive,” he admitted, rubbing the back of his neck. “Okay, a lot competitive. Especially when it comes to RSA. But that’s just… school rivalry stuff. I’d never throw away what we have because of a name on your ID.”
Tears pricked at your eyes, relief flooding your chest.
“You’re not mad?”
“I was,” he said honestly. “Mostly because I thought I didn’t know who you really were. But then I remembered… you’re the girl who helped me study for Trein’s exam. Who brought me food when I skipped meals. Who walked all the way from your campus to NRC in the rain just to see me on my bad days.”
He stepped forward, cupping your cheek gently.
“I know exactly who you are. And no rival school is gonna change that.”
You laughed, leaning into his touch. “So… we’re good?”
“We’re better than good,” he smiled, pulling you into a hug. “But you are gonna have to tell me everything about that school. I wanna know what I’m up against when I challenge them in the next inter-school competition.”
“Already planning your next duel, Spade?”
“Only if you promise to cheer for me. Loudly.”
You smirked. “Loudly and stylishly.”
Cater Diamond
Tumblr media
Cater had always been a little hard to read, but that was part of the charm. One second he was all smiles and selfies, and the next he’d go quiet, just watching with those sharp amber eyes like he was trying to read your mind. You had always thought he was too perceptive for his own good—until now.
Because somehow, somehow, you had managed to date him for nearly three months without him realizing you didn’t go to NRC. You went to Royal Sword Academy. The "rival" school. The one filled with boys like Neige, soft and sweet and disgustingly charming in a way that made NRC students roll their eyes.
You had good reason to lie—or rather, avoid the truth. NRC students didn’t exactly love RSA. And Cater? He was always surrounded by people, easily swayed by public opinion, by his image. You didn’t want to ruin what you had. So you never wore your uniform around him, always met off-campus, told half-truths about your classes and teachers. You even blurred your location on Magicam.
You didn’t think it would come out like this, though.
“Cater?” you said nervously, seeing his eyes go wide as he looked at your student ID that had fallen out of your bag. You had fumbled for it, but it was too late.
"Wait, wait, babe... This says... RSA? Royal Sword Academy?"
There was a silence that fell between you like a fog.
“I can explain,” you said quickly, but Cater just laughed—a sharp, startled noise, not his usual sing-song chuckle.
“So that’s why you never let me visit your campus,” he muttered, running a hand through his hair. “You lied about what school you go to? That’s not like, a little white lie, Y/N. That’s huge.”
“I was scared,” you admitted, twisting your fingers together. “Everyone at NRC acts like RSA is some kind of joke. I thought if you knew, you’d treat me differently. Or worse, you'd leave.”
Cater’s expression softened, but only a little.
“Okay, okay... I get that,” he said, voice quieter. “But you didn’t trust me. That’s what stings the most.”
He looked down, biting his lip.
“I’ve always shown you the real me. Even when it’s messy. I thought we had something honest.”
You stepped forward, gently taking his hand.
“We do. I just... didn’t want to risk losing you.”
He exhaled hard, eyes closing. Then, finally, he opened them and gave you a soft smile.
“Well... you’ve got some serious guts, girlie. Hiding all that and still making time for me? Iconic.” His smile turned wry. “But next time, just tell me the truth, okay? I can handle it. Promise.”
He pulled you into a hug, whispering, “My girlfriend goes to RSA... damn, the tea’s hot today.”
Trey Clover
Tumblr media
Trey wasn’t the type to raise his voice. He was calm, level-headed, the type of guy who baked tarts when he was stressed and solved problems with quiet wisdom. But the way his shoulders tensed as he stared at your RSA pin told you everything you needed to know.
You had dropped your cloak while visiting him in the Heartslabyul kitchen. He’d picked it up for you—gentle, polite—and that’s when he saw it: the neat, gold-embroidered RSA insignia on the collar.
“Is this a joke?” he asked softly, though there was no humor in his voice.
You froze. “Trey, I—”
“Please don’t lie to me now.”
The words hit like ice. You had always admired that about him—how he could say so little and make it feel like everything.
“I go to RSA,” you said finally, quietly. “I didn’t tell you because... I didn’t want to lose you.”
Trey set the cloak down carefully, his movements controlled. Too controlled.
“I don’t understand,” he said. “We’ve been dating for months, Y/N. I’ve let you into my dorm, introduced you to Riddle and the others. I’ve told you things I don’t tell anyone. And all this time, you’ve been hiding something that huge?”
“I didn’t lie,” you argued, though your voice cracked. “I just didn’t say it.”
He looked at you then, and his eyes were sad. “That’s still a lie.”
There was a beat of silence, thick with disappointment.
“Do you know how hard it is to earn trust at NRC?” he asked, voice low. “Everything here is about hierarchy. Power. Control. When I met you, it felt like a break from all that. Like I could be myself. And now I find out you’ve been pretending this whole time.”
Your throat tightened. “I wasn’t pretending to love you. That part was real. Every second.”
He looked away, jaw clenched. “I believe you,” he said after a pause. “But I need time.”
You stepped forward. “Trey—”
He turned back to you, softer now. “I still care about you. That hasn’t changed. But if we’re going to move past this, I need to know that you’ll be honest with me. No more secrets.”
You nodded, feeling the weight in your chest loosen just slightly. “Okay. No more lies.”
He offered a small smile—tired, but real—and reached for your hand. “Then let’s start over. You, me, and the truth this time.”

Kissing Their Foreheads [Rollo, Che'nya and Neige]
˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗SYNOPSIS: You kiss their foreheads.
♡︎Reader is from Noble Bell College in Rollo’s part and from Royal Sword Academy in Neige's part
♡︎I feel that I wrote so much more for these guys than the rest…my bad?
[First Years]☆[Second Years]☆[Third Years]☆[One final forehead kiss]☆[Here]
Tumblr media
⋆⋅☆Rollo:
You have no idea how you ended up in this situation, but here you are, stuck in the same room with Rollo Flamme while he is giving you the chills. To be fair, he always had those dead eyes, but surely he isn’t mad at you, right? He doesn't want to burn you or anything... That’s just how his face looks all the time.
Well, you're not so sure about that anymore because now he is approaching you! And he is getting way too close for your comfort. You can hear yourself gulping from the nervousness.
You don’t even know why you’re reacting this way. You and Rollo were somewhat close; you’d dare to call him a friend by now, though you’re not sure he sees you that way. The two of you always ended up studying together after classes. Whenever you had trouble understanding a subject, Rollo would always help you out. He wasn’t that bad of a person once you got to know him.
However, he still had those questionable morals of his, and right now, he didn’t seem very happy. He kept ranting about the students from Night Raven College and by the Seven! He seemed particularly mad at this Malleus Draconia, and he had kept on rumbling about him for the past hours.
At this point, you had just shaken off your feeling of unease. You knew that Rollo was probably just stressed about wanting everything to be perfect for the new students. Yes, that had to be it! In fact, you were starting to pity his state.
So, without thinking about your own actions, as Rollo sat down next to you to continue your study session, you took hold of his face and pressed a quick kiss to his forehead. As you leaned back in your seat, realizing what you had done, you noticed that Rollo was as embarrassed by your actions as you were. Both of your cheeks had a pink tint as you stared at each other, and now you had no idea of how to get out of this situation.
──── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ────
⋆⋅☆Che’nya:
There you were, invited to an unbirthday party by Riddle himself. You were having lots of fun eating and drinking while talking with your friends when, out of nowhere, Che’nya decided to show up and scared the living daylights out of you with his floating head.
And that wasn’t all. He seemed to have enjoyed your reaction so much that it turned into a contest to see how high you could jump when he scared you. Not fun. Not fun at all.
The second time his head popped up, you spilled your tea all over your clothes. You had to excuse yourself from the party to wash your shirt.
The third time, you almost stumbled against one of the pink flamingos. You swore that if Che’nya hadn't vanished right away, you would have hit him with one of those.
By the fourth time, you were ready to just run away from the party. But you were having such a fun time with the rest of your friends that you didn’t want Che’nya’s antics to get to you. You really needed to find a way to get payback—something that would surprise him so much that he would no longer pester you.
So, by the fifth time he showed up, you didn’t think twice. You grabbed hold of his floating head, not wanting him to escape. Che’nya had a huge grin plastered on his face, and you were so annoyed by his attitude. You did the most unthinkable thing you could think of: you kissed his forehead.
For the rest of the day, Che’nya didn’t annoy you anymore.
──── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ────
⋆⋅☆Neige:
By now, you and Neige had become pretty close friends. Not that it was very difficult—the guy was a ball of sunshine. He was also such a hard worker, helping out the dwarfs, studying for exams, training for his acting gigs; overall, he was always filled with work. Yet he always made time for the two of you to be together.
You always tried helping him out, whether by summarizing some of the content from your classes to help him study better or by making his lunch so that he could fully focus on his own stuff.
Neige always appreciated your help, even when he kept on saying how much he didn’t want you to overwork yourself because of him. You never listened to him.
One day, you found Neige, the ball of sunshine always full of energy, knocking at your dorm room. Normally, he would send you a message when he had free time; he never showed up without warning. And by the uncharacteristic dark circles under his eyes and that quivering smile of his, you knew he was tired. So you let him in, and you let him rest in your bed as you cuddled him, pressing a soft kiss on his forehead to help him relax.

・。Jealousy ✨
You've ordered: a sour grape tart! enjoy!
Tumblr media
"A little jealousy~"
Vil Schoenheit x reader | word count: 775 words
Summary: after hearing that you're getting a little close with Neige, Vil can't help but be jealous ✨
Warnings: reader is a member of Ramshackle, but is not yuu. none, fluff!
Note: requested by @linlinmoon. sorry it's so short, i've been really busy lately (T-T) i realized i should have made this a birthday fic after i wrote it ;-; welp- enjoy this vil drabble :D also, no hate to neige, i actually think he's adorable
Vil wasn't usually a jealous person. He'd swear up and down that he didn't get jealous easily and that such things weren't worth his time. Boy...was he wrong.
Ever since you and Vil had started dating, you two were almost always seen together. Whether it was holding hands, walking around the courtyard together, simply chatting after a class, one could always spot you two together. But then, things changed when a certain someone seemed to take up all of your attention. Neige Leblanc.
Vil wasn't sure how exactly you met the Royal Sword Academy student or how he'd somehow become friends with you. You told him you two had met during the Spelldrive tournament that was currently taking place between NRC and RSA. You'd dropped some water bottles you were going to take to Vil and his dorm members, when he'd bumped into you and made you drop the bottles. You were hanging out in Vil's dorm (Epel and Rook were elsewhere) while telling him the story.
"He was very kind and even invited me to visit RSA sometime."
"He did what?!" Vil exclaimed, turning around from his seat in front of his vanity. "You're not actually going to visit that eye sore of a school, are you?"
You frowned at Vil's words, nodding your head and crossing your arms over your chest. "Well yes, I was thinking about going. It seems like a rather beautiful school."
Vil was speechless as he heard you say that, his mouth falling agape. He couldn't believe that you were actually complementing that school full of stuck up snobs!
"Well, you-" Vil was cut off as Epel and Rook made their way inside the dorm, rushing over to Vil.
"The tournament's bout to start!" Epel said, urging for Vil to get up.
"I'm coming, I'm coming!" he huffed, giving you a glance before leaving with the two.
You were currently at the benches, waiting for Ramshackle's turn to play with Grim at your side. You watched as the teams played, watching the magic disc fly through the air. Pomefiore dorm was currently playing against some team from RSA, but you didn't see Neige playing.
"Come on! When will it be our turn?" Grim groaned, leaning against you.
"Be patient. We're going in order of the bracket, remember?" You reminded your furry companion, gently patting his head as he grumbled.
"Y/n!" You looked up to see none other the Neige making his way over to you, the biggest smile on his face.
"Neige, hey!" You smiled, waving back as he jogged over. "How was your game? Did your team win?"
"Oh, we did great! We're moving on to the semifinals!" he exclaimed as you clapped your hands in congratulation.
The sound of your clapping seemed to have caught Vil's attention. His eye darted over to see you sitting on the bench....talking to-!
"Oh, and that's a point for Royal Sword!" the commentator said, Vil not even realizing he'd missed his chance to defend. RSA was now in the lead, Vil's eyes moving from the scoreboard to you as you mouthed "What happened?!" to him.
"Time out!" Vil yelled, rushing off of the field and grabbing your wrist, dragging you behind the bleachers.
"And Night Raven has called for a time out!" the commentator announced, your expression completely confused and baffled about the whole thing.
"Vil, what happened? Are you not feeling well?" you asked, pressing your hand to his forehead.
Whatever Vil was going to say next immediately left his brain as he felt your warm touch on his forehead. He sighed, reaching up and taking your hand, pressing a kiss to your knuckles, letting his lips linger for a moment.
"Is this about Neige?" That damn name made Vil's grip on your hand a little tighter, a fond smile now forming on your lips.
"Don't worry. He knows we're together, he wouldn't try anything. And even if he did, he's not really my type."
Your words made Vil's face heat up a bit, his heart being put at ease. "I wasn't worried. I know I have a special place in your heart."
You pressed a soft kiss to Vil's cheek, resting your forehead against his. "You know, I wouldn't mind you getting jealous again. It's very cute." you hummed, Vil raising an eyebrow.
"Me? Jealous of him? You're joking, right?" he muttered, playfully pinching your cheek.
You let out a soft yelp, a bit of laughter following soon after. Glancing over Vil's shoulder, you could see Epel and Rook making their way over.
"Alright, alright. Get back out there, Mr. Schoenheit. You've got a Spelldrive tournament to win." ✨

NRC And RSA
Tumblr media
(What if Yuu went to Royal Sword Academy for a Exchange/Transfer student program?)
-
Yuu sat on the plush bed, the private room given to them was rather luxurious than the room they shared in Ramshackle. Little bits of belongings still sat in their luggage, a few trinkets (Y/N) had been packed to remind Yuu of NRC during their stay.
The magicless student smiles at the thought of their dorm and friends. Sighing as they eye the special uniform the RSA students had provided them.
While the rather, “princely” students were rather kind in their greetings, Yuu still didn’t feel all too comfortable. The quiet sounds of the ocean clear their thoughts as they get up from the bed. Peaking outside from the satin curtains, the small waves crashing along the sandy shore.
After finding out that Yuu would be going to the school alone, Headmaster Crowely graciously offered Yuu a new phone. While you kept the old one.
“To keep in touch during the trip!” Yuu heard the Headmage state, smiling too sweetly, clearly hiding his true intentions.
Picking up their phone, Yuu skims through the messages you had sent as soon as they left.
Pictures of Grim sleeping in class, pictures of you and Grim sitting next to the first-years at lunch. Then a photo of you, unaware, talking with a nervous student as figures zoom into the scene. Too blurry to make out the familiar uniforms on their persons.
“Grim probably took that photo…” Yuu laughs. Before a knock is heard on the door.
Yuu heads over, not before taking a small pick of the ocean.
Opening it up, preppy voices cheer loudly. “WELCOME TO ROYAL SWORD ACADEMY! YUU!”
-
“I miss Yuu…” You bemoan, lightly banging your hands on your face. Groaning in annoyance as Ace side eyes you. “(Y/N), Yuu’s fine. Probably annoyed with all those high-horse RSA students though.” Deuce makes a small sound of agreement.
Grim munches on his tuna melt, a bit quiet… Which was never a good sign.
-
Yuu sat with Chenya and Neige, a few other students seated with the as well during lunch. The NRC picks at the dishes served as they listen to the small discussions going about. Occasionally giving a small response when a question was asked to them personally.
“Hmm.. Yuu~! I’m curious about something, if you don’t mind me asking..~” Chehnya smiles, eyes bright like a curious cat.
“Yes?”
“How’s (Y/N) doing? I haven’t seen’em in a bit, so I wanted to know.~” Chenya purrs out, laying a lazy hand on Yuu shoulder. Neige, overhearing, beams. White as snow skin becoming a soft pink as they lean in as well. “Oh yes! How are they? I haven’t seen them much since the masquerade event at Noble Bell College.”
The actors red as rose lips turn into a frown, “My schedule has been so packed I haven’t had time to see them around town..” The boy wilts at the thought of missing his chance to see you as Snick offers him a sympathetic pat on the back.
Yuu hears more chatter from a few other students popping in to add their own statements about (Y/N).
Rielle, Yuu recalled him from somewhere… Had spoken up. “I’ve seen them around the beach a few times!”
“Really?”
“Uh-huh!”
Yuu blinks, the conversation becoming bigger than expected. But, they grin just like their fellow NRC friends.
“Well, (Y/N) is good. I mean, they are Dorm Head of our Dorm, along with meetings with the other Dorm Leaders…  As VICE Leader, we’re with each other often.” Yuu smiles, shrugging. A certain glint in their eye.
Neige's features become more flustered as he tries to ask another question. Before being interrupted by Yuu’s phone ringing.
-
“GRIM! GIVE IT BACK!”
“No! I wanna’ send Yuu photos of my tuna can tower!”
“Grim!” You try to grab the phone back as Jack follows after, but Grim was surprisingly quicker! Epel manages to corner the fur-ball, “Oi! Ya’cat! Give it up!”
“Epels accent is out! He’s pissed!”
Ortho readies his laser cannon, trying to get the perfect aim. "Grim, stand still please!" Grim shouts to as he tries to figure out away to avoid capture.
“Grim?”
“Yuu!”
“YUU!?”
The first-years shout all together, happy to hear the student.
Sebek grabs Grim by the scruff of his collar, handing him over to you as everyone gathers by the lounge area. Discussing about their day as Yuu talks about their own, “I gotta go guys.. I’ll see you in a couple days!”
“Give’em hell Yuu!”
“Good luck Yuu!”
“See you soon!”
Hanging up the call, Yuu returns back to the lunch table, a satisfied expression on their face. Maybe even a bit sentimental if you looked close enough...

Note
Same Cinderella-anon, just with more ideas I forgot to add in the first ask! maybe with reader being Trein's grandchild, having to go to NRC because he needs something and asked reader to bring it to him and Silver and reader being surprised at seeing each other again idk. anyways, have a good day and thanks in advance again!
cinderella!reader is trein's grandchild ✧・゚
Tumblr media
Summary: The reader is actually Trein's grandchild. They visit NRC campus at their grandfather's instruction and run into Silver again.
TW/CW: This is a continuation of THIS POST, minor B7 spoilers
Notes: The reader is NOT Ramshackle Prefect/Yuu, they/them pronouns for the reader, pre-relationship, familial headcanons as well
Guest Stars: Divus Crewel, Sebek Zigvolt
.
.
.
✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚:
It would seem Professor Trein needs some help that only his dearest grandchild can assist with. They attend Royal Sword Academy, and Professor Trein, or rather, Grandpa Mozus, would like access to some historical documents from the RSA library.
Can [Name] help him?
Surely they can. They love their grandfather.
And it would mean getting to visit the school across the island again.
.
.
.
✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚:
Mozus Trein
Tumblr media
Trein is very protective of his grandchild.
If he seems stern in class, it doubles when his grandchild is there.
He has a complex relationship with [Name]'s parents due to the strained relationship he had with his daughter towards her entry into adulthood. They do not hate each other, though.
He loves them, but his love is firm and strict at times.
Gawking at his grandchild earns you detention.
The other staff are all familiar with [Name].
Trein talks about them and how one of the reasons he had looked into teaching at RSA was to be closer to them.
He was worried about them.
They are an innocent spirit who is too trusting, too accepting.
He is strict with them because he thinks they will get hurt.
The outside world is a scary place where grandpa can't protect them from the monsters out there, the bad apples...
When his grandchild visits, which happens sporadically but more often than one might imagine, Crewel is also tasked with looking over them. As per Trein's request (read: instruction).
Trein believes that his grandchild would be less embarrassed if it were not him at every turn checking on them. He trusts Crewel.
Sometimes, Trein thinks about leaving NRC to be with his grandchild, but he always decides to stay for his students.
Trein wishes that [Name] went to NRC, but they aren't the type the Dark Mirror would choose; they are a might magic user with a pure soul, after all. The very image of an RSA student.
✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚: ✧・゚:
Silver
Tumblr media
Silver continued to think about [Name]. Who were they?
A student, but not from NRC. From RSA, then?
Why couldn't he forget them? What was this?
He chooses not to trouble his family with it.
He is nearly an adult; he can figure this out for himself.
That said, he didn't expect them to be related to Professor Trein.
Silver was not aware of the professor's personal life.
Why would he be?
It doesn't change his opinion of [Name] as a friendly person.
But he is more wary now. He has heard that Professor Trein is... protective. And he doesn't blame the professor.
But Silver does not want to bring any trouble to his Master.
Silver wonders if it is worth pursuing such a curiosity.
And then it happens, all because of the narrative.
Silver and [Name] have their SECOND Meet-Cute.
Silver can't say he expected things to turn out like this!
Silver was trying his best to ignore Sebek's words echoing in his head. He should focus instead of daydream about a stranger. Sebek was right about that much, but that didn't mean ignoring every other living person on his island. He was his Master's guard, but he was also a student, and students should engage with the community or something like that.
He sighed softly, and he continued down the hall, making the mistake of not looking ahead of him and crashing into the person ahead of him. While no one was injured, it did leave the load they were carrying scattered across the hallway floor.
"I'm sorry..." Silver said, "Let me help with that."
He reached down to pick up one of the large textbooks from the floor, hand brushing against theirs. Silver looked toward them to see... [Name]? The same person from before? The very person he had been thinking of. Was this some kind of fateful encounter? Others had mentioned these to him... He could think about that later.
"Hello again. I am sorry to... cause this."
He looked almost sheepish as they waved it off, trying to tell him that there wasn't any harm done to them or their books. Regardless, Silver helped them gather the books into their arms again, taking a few to carry himself so that [Name] could see what was ahead of them.
"It's really alright. I couldn't see over the books either."
They look a bit embarrassed.
"[Name]... Why do you have," Silver paused to count them, "...twelve textbooks?"
Their embarrassment grew as an awkward smile graced their lips.
"My Granpa Mozus wanted me to bring these over from Royal Sword," they explained, "So I came here with the Headmage's permission to deliver... all of these."
Though their arms were still filled with books, they managed to make a gesture toward the books Silver carried for them.
He nodded.
"I understand. I will help you take these to your grandfather."
[Name] wondered if Silver was aware of what their grandfather was. If he knew, he certainly didn't act that way. He said nothing. It was almost refreshing to them to not have a grand reaction about it all.
That said, [Name] noted that the louder boy who was with Silver the last time was not here. He seemed as though he might react if [Name] told him their lineage. What was his name again? Sebastian?
They brushed the thought away and continued to walk down the hallway with Silver, headed toward the classroom their grandfather had said was his. He was a history teacher.
Stopping at the door, Silver knocked instead of [Name] simply due to the fact that he could support his stack of books with one arm. This was something that [Name] was trying not to gawk at. This boy sure was strong, then and again, his arms were rather strong-looking.
Did he not say he worked for his "master" the last time?
They were thinking about it again. There wasn't anyone like that at Royal Sword. Sure, some students helped the dorm leaders... But that wasn't... master and servant? Right? [Name] felt their head spin.
A voice came from inside the room, but it was not their grandfather's. It was a masculine one, slightly teasing as if testing them...
"Whatever might you need from us now?"
[Name] recognized it as Divus' voice, the younger man, though he was still older than them, who worked with their grandfather. He was a teacher, too. Alchemy?
Wait.
Were they interrupting something?
"It's [Name]!" they called back to Divus, "Oh, and Silver is helping me."
"Alright then, pups. You may enter~"
[Name] walked into the room as Silver opened the door for them with his free hand. Instantly [Name] was greeted with the classroom their grandfather used, wooden desks, a chalk board, books on a shelf, and her dear grandpa sitting at his own desk front and center.
Divus had stepped back to let them get to the desk.
"Grandpa Mozus!" [Name] called, walking forward to set the books on his desk, "I got all the things you sent for!"
They smiled, an expression that Trein returned.
Silver's face paled slightly at the sudden realization; the boy always was a bit slow on the uptake with human relations that Professor Trein was "Grandpa." But he recovered quickly as he presented the rest of the books to Trein.
"Here you go, sir."
"Ah, the books. Thank you, [Name]," Trein told his beloved grandchild, "And you as well, Silver, for helping them."
[Name] grinned, proud of the fact they had accomplished the task. The look on their face made Silver smile as well. This earned him a sharp glare from Trein, much sharper than his usual expression.
They stared at each other for a moment as [Name] looked between them, unsure if they were supposed to intervene given their grandpa was his teacher... It was well within his jurisdiction.
"I trust you would never do anything untoward to my grandchild, Silver?" Trein asked the light-haired boy.
"Of course not, sir."
Silver shook his head and ignored the chuckle from Professor Crewel.
"That is good to hear."
Trein's expression softened as he turned back to [Name].
"I hope this was not too arduous a task for my youngest?"
"No, this was alright. I hope the books help," [Name] told him, "Thank you for... trusting me."
They smiled yet again, and Trein returned it, just slightly.
Silver felt as though he was intruding on a personal moment. And maybe he was. He had been thinking about [Name], but he couldn't speak about that in front of Professor Trein.... [Name] was heading back to Royal Sword after this... What a mess.
He held back the urge to sigh.
Footsteps could be heard approaching.
Oh no... Silver knew that sound anywhere.
"SILVER!"
He sighed this time, and those in the room turned to look at the doorway. [Name] was startled, whereas the professors just seemed... tired. Perhaps a bit annoyed.
There stood Sebek, out of breath slightly with furrowed brows.
"Hello, Sebek..." Silver attempted to greet but was cut off.
"WHAT HAS YOU SO BUSY? WHAT IF OUR MASTER NEEDS US?"
Silver tried to explain it.
"I was helping... a friend."
Sebek glared at [Name], recognizing them.
"THIS HUMAN AGAIN?"
[Name] flinched at the volume, and Trein decided to step in.
"Sebek Zigvolt, you will not address my grandchild that way."
Sebel was startled at the address from his professor.
"Ah, my... my apologies, professor," Sebek stammered.
There really is never a peaceful day at Night Raven College.

KJNGDSKJGNSDKJGNSDKJ ITS FINALLY FINISHED!! ITS DONE!! AFTER 57 HOURS OF WORK!!!!
I am so so so so so happy with how this turned out. This is the official teaser comic for my fanfic, The Creation of a Villain, available to read on my AO3.
I have so much planned, and I'm gradually restoring a healthy relationship with my writing, and I'm very excited to share it.
For those who are interested, I've got a few more teasers on what I have planned in store. (Marked with * if it contains mild spoilers for TCOAV)
-Adding onto the established magic system.
-Adding onto established classes/lessons.
-*MC happens to be just as horrible of a person as most of the students here, resulting in some gradual changes to the canon that become more and more noticeable as time passes.
-It's an aged up AU where NRC is an actual college, so characters get mild additions to backstories (as well as some height changes).
-*Lots of possible headcanons for Royal Sword Academy, including a B/side plot with another MC that is a student there.
-Inclusion of canon events, as well as some I create on my own.
-I love exploring character development, so there's gonna be more of that :>
-*She does, indeed, get attached.
-A lot more!!!
Thank you so so so so so so SO much for reading. It means a lot to me. If you have the time, I would REALLY appreciate a reblog given this took so much time to make. If not, that's alright too. I appreciate y'all either way <3

Expect more of this Yuu in the future! An official introduction post for her is planned and will soon be in the works.

OPERATION CINDERELLA-SABOTAGE [SAVANACLAW]
in which he rescues you from your very short-lived wedding.
SUMMARY: due to a massive misunderstanding, a prince from royal sword academy is set to wed you at sunset. thankfully, your un-princely crush is here to save the day and crash this lovely wedding.
PAIRINGS: everyone x fem reader (separately)
WARNINGS: they're being a bit dramatic, characters are 18+, slightly suggestive (leona and ruggie), leona lifts you up bc he's a big man like that,
NOTES: this is echoes the ghost bride event, but listening to this prompted me to write out this scenario instead. i made this for shits and giggles, so have fun with this self-indulgent fic ofmine writing for savanaclaw was pretty funny tho

"I—"
"I object!"

LEONA KINGSCHOLAR
"What have you gotten yourself into this time, herbivore? How bothersome. You had better be prepared to kiss the ground I walk on as soon as I grab you from the altar. You owe me for this, big time. Don't even think about lumping me in with the same lot as Ashengrotto. I suppose I'll have to retell you this as soon as I get you out of there... Damn it, the prefect couldn't pick up the goddamn phone for the fifteenth time. Park the car, Ruggie. I'm going in."
Imagine Leona's irritation when he has Grim tugging at his tail blubbering nonsense about you and a wedding. He really thought it was some stupid ploy to have him attend class or some arrangement until he heard Malleus expressing his concerns a couple rooms away.
Because what do you mean the herbivore is getting hitched into a royal family?! You sure that we are talking about the same magicless prefect with literally no credentials or documentation?
It's enough to have the beastman get up and deal with the issue himself. Consider yourself a lucky prefect since he is personally driving his way to the venue to pluck you from Prince Whatever's clutches.
Did he think the plan through? Not really. Leona is a prince himself from the Sunset Savannah, and he can easily abuse that status for issues like these. It should be easy. All he had to do was go in, and get you out, right? Right?
That being said, was it really necessary to dress for the occasion? He would have happily went in with his uniform, but Ruggie seemed to have insisted because no one would take him seriously if he came in looking like a bum! Hair tied back and donning a suit, he can easily pass as a prince charming if he tried. Still, he knows that you wouldn't expect him to be a white knight. You knew him too well to think him to be one.
Kicking down the doors of the chapel, everyone's eyes flew to Leona with mild shock and surprise. The second prince from the Sunset Savannah? What business could he possibly have here? Of course, that business would be no other than you who had gasped at the sight of the beastman, dressed to the nines as if he were the groom himself.
It takes everything in Leona's power to hold back his exasperated sigh when his eyes land on you. No wonder Pierce Charmant fell in love at first sight, you looked like an absolute dream. The longer he stared at you, the easier it was to forget that he had something to take care of here. As beautiful as you looked in that dress and veil, you would sooner suit the colors of the Sunset Savannah better than whatever this man's designers gave you.
Pierce lets out an uncomfortable cough, straightening his back as his eyes narrowed onto the beastman. "Prince Leona Kingscholar, I do recall sending an invitation. Unfortunately, you are quite late to the occasion." His hand extends towards the pews, a tight lipped smile surfacing his expression.
"Still, please have a seat. We can pardon the intrusion."
Leona flashes a haughty smile, his stance exuding pride and confidence. "You don't have to. I'm here to crash your wedding, Charmant." He takes long strides down to the altar, eyes fixated on your own. The beastman ignores the scandalized gasps, the 'oohs' and 'ahhs' as he makes his way to you, as if he was eager to retrieve a possession of his.
It's the way your lower lip quivers, how your hands wring against one another and the slight bead of sweat forming on your temples. It was difficult to tell if you were nervous yourself, or if you were just taken aback by how handsome the beastman was in his get-up.
"Herbivore," It snaps you out of your daze, reminding you to blink when your eyes land onto his narrowed green eyes. His voice is as commanding as ever, like the call of a lion to his pride.
Rather than addressing you from the high tops, he stands at the bottom of the alter with a raised brow, looking up to you. Then his lips curl upwards into a sly grin, mocking Pierce whose jaw was clenched.
"Herbivore, you really wanna marry that guy?" Leona asks in that low coaxing tone, very well knowing the answer before you shook your head wildly.
"No!"
Leona shrugs to himself with an exasperated sigh.
"Good enough for me."
Feeling a pair of strong arm wrap around your thighs, you couldn't help but let out a slight yelp when you felt your feet leave the ground. Instinctively clawing at Leona's back, you find yourself hoisted onto his shoulder like a sack of rice. The crowd gasps audibly, and you cannot help but hide your face in your hands as the beastman shamelessly began to walk towards the exit point without another word.
"Where do you think you're going?!" Pierce yells out from the altar, his hand falling to the blade hanging on his hip. You hear Leona snort, pausing for a moment to look back at the man. He rolls his eyes, almost annoyed by the other prince's theatrics.
"I'm bringing the Prefect back to where she belongs. I didn't think you weren't above spiriting strangers away over shoe sizes."
Gritting his teeth, Pierce shook his head and grinded onto his teeth. "You are not her guardian, nor her lover. You have no authority, Kingscholar!"
You can feel Leona exhale from the way his shoulders fall slightly, followed by how his grip on your middle tightens. "Then I stake my claim on her today," His tone is much more darker now, more dominating than the arrogant tone he had been using since he stepped through those doors.
Truly befitting of a lion demanding the submission of lower prey. "Do you really want to cross paths with my family, Charmant? I am sure my family is willing to negotiate at the next possible date." You know that Leona is smirking now, based on how irritation flashes across your supposed groom's face.
"Well, if you decide to try, my family will write you back in three days time. Until then, Charmant."
Noises erupt from the crowd as they watched Leona carry you down to the exit. Hanging against his back, you poke at his shoulder slightly. "Really? You have the authority to do that?" Leona clicks his tongue in his response, almost attempting to shush you down.
"Of course not, but Charmant doesn't have to know. Let Crowley take care of it. I am only the delivery boy."
Sure, it was a massive bluff on his end, but does it really matter? Leona got you out of that situation safe and sound! Even if it ended with you being hoisted over his shoulder and carried out of the cathedral, there was not a single scratch on you! That being said, Charmant was not exactly happy to know that Leona scammed him into letting you go, but you were long gone when he came to that conclusion.
Did we get Leona to drive you back to Night Raven College? Nope. Ruggie's getting a good bonus from being the getaway driver, not to mention the fact he drove you all through a fast-food drive-thru on Leona's wallet. He doesn't have to know either, not when he is fast asleep on your shoulder in the backseat.
Oddly enough, Leona wouldn't be leaving your side anytime soon. Even after Ruggie's dropped you off at Ramshackle, the lion beastman trails after you like a shadow into the manor, up until he's invaded your room.
"Leona, don't you have to go back to your dorm?" Raising a brow at your questioning tone, Leona crossed his arms and stared at you through the mirror's reflection.
The sun had already set long ago, leaving the moon filtering in through the windows. It was the only source of light, considering you haven't even though to flip the lights on. You can see Leona behind you, his eyes following the train of your dress and how it sweeps against the creaky floorboards.
"Ha? I haven't even started asking for compensation yet." He rumbles, finding his hand playing with the lace of your supposed wedding dress. The thought of it makes his stomach churn, followed by that prince's scent invading his nostrils.
Green eyes flicker back to you, something dark reflecting in them to the point where your breath is hitched.
"You ever thought of marriage before, herbivore?" Your eyes widened with surprise at his question. You could only let out a nervous chuckle, avoiding his gaze as you shift your gaze onto your wedding dress. "This entire experience has made me terrified of getting married for a while, Leona." You hear his humming from behind, eyes returning to the mirror to find his hand ghosting above the veil fixed onto the crown of your head. He doesn't let himself touch, only hovering slightly above the fabric. He seems almost lost in thought when he shoots the next question. "What kind of man are you looking for?" You stay silent, almost tempted to attack him for how seductive his voice seemed to sound in that moment. He must've been doing it on purpose. Then he chuckles slightly, teasing. "Don't tell me you're after the princely type like Charmant Ultra-Soft there." He easily catches your wrist when you whipped around to face him, smirking slightly at your somewhat flustered expression. "Of course not! He's... he's not my type anyways!" "Then what's your type then?" Gulping to yourself, you take a step back. He takes one forward. Another step back, another of his comes forward, all until your back is pressed against the fixed mirror. With a quiet purr from his throat, he hunches forward to hover above the crook of your neck.
You are already so certain that he sees through you, through the way your heart pounds in your ears or to the way you let him invade your personal space like he belonged there. Leona's lips quirk up into a smirk, followed by a knowing hum. "You never know, Prefect. Maybe Charmant will come knocking down your door claiming my stake on you is fake." His large hand presses itself against your hip in an almost possessive manner, but you can easily sense his hesitance, waiting for your approval.
"Or maybe, you'll wake up to everyone crowning you as a princess from the Sunset Savannah. Would it be so bad, herbivore?"
Pulling himself away, Leona rests an arm above your head and towers over you. You cannot avoid his gaze now, nor can you avoid that smug look of his against the glow of moonlight.
"Would it be so bad being yours?"
RUGGIE BUCCHI
"Nah, I can't use the Kingscholar name. Leona's gonna have my neck if I used his identity... Ali Baba? Does it look like I own thousands of camels and elephants? Come on, Jack. You're a smart cookie, you can think of some fancy-schmancy princey name for me! Can't exactly start a dispute with a royal family that doesn't exist... Pssh, you think Crowley's gonna help out in time? Prefect's gonna end up paying alimony if we let him take care of it! Come on, you got it Jack! Think faster!"
For all the trouble that Ruggie had caused you during and after Leona's overblot, he had to hand it over to you— you were probably one of the most well-resourced individuals in the campus. Sure, you had no magic but you had a good head above your shoulders and you seemed to have a knack for getting yourself out of tricky situations. It was admirable, really. He really respects you, and would often trust that you can take care of yourself!
Alas, you couldn't get yourself out of this situation. Ruggie had to do the biggest double-take when he looked over to see a wedding being broadcasted on Jack's phone, only to see you being dragged against your will for a gown fitting at a boutique.
Judging by that freaked out look on your face, you're going to need some help and Ruggie is ready to help you escape! Sure, he isn't as powerful as Leona or influential as Malleus... Now that he thought of it, how was he going to take you back safely without causing a ruckus? Crowley obviously is out of the question, and you might as well be married at sunset if he doesn't do anything now.
He's gonna have to pull out the big S.
S, as in, scammer.
"Darling, I'm here!"
You cannot keep your jaw from falling from its hinges as you watch Ruggie walk into the cathedral with a certain stride that was so unlike him. He wears a suit that is too expensive for his tastes, posture straight and refined to the point you were almost fooled into thinking it was a rich twin brother separated from birth.
In that moment, he seemed more like Azul than he did the hyena beastman you knew. It was only for a brief moment before you saw Ruggie, with his little crooked smile and the way he rubs the back of his neck with a hint of shyness.
"... Darling?" You croak in confusion. Ruggie laughs, easing your nervous heart. "Shishishi, it's me! Sorry, where you waiting for me that long?" Without a care in a world, the hyena beastman is making quick steps down the aisle towards you. You can tell that he is nervous though, based on the way his tail twitches slightly as eyes follow him down.
"And who are you?" Pierce demands. Ruggie gasps, feigning offense as he glances to the crowd, looking for some sort of support. "Me? You don't recognize me?" Sighing dramatically, the beastman shook his head in disappointment.
"Sheesh, didn't think that royalty these days haven't kept up with the times. Let me introduce myself," He grins, bowing to disguise the fact that he is playing a crook.
"Prince Varve Cu, a pleasure to make your acquaintance."
Barbecue?! Is that what you're craving, Ruggie?!
You want to choke on the air you just sharply inhaled. You've always known that Ruggie was clever and that he was not above dirty tricks, but you never did expect him to try and scam royalty into thinking he's someone else!
But Pierce hums to himself, attempting to recall the unfamiliar name in the recesses of his memory. "Cu? I have never heard of that name before." It almost baffles you that the prince was actually questioning his own memory, over a family name that never existed.
Always the opportunist, Ruggie scoffs in a spoiled manner, turning his nose up childishly. You would have been fooled by his act if you never really knew his true nature.
"How rude! We are quite the affluent family, you know? Luckily for you, I'm in a very good mood." Ruggie clears his throat, running a hand through his hair as he reaches his hand out towards you.
"I'm here to take back the Ramshackle Prefect. I am afraid she's already spoken for."
You may never get a chance to escape again, so you quickly flee Pierce's side to take Ruggie's hand. Easily, his hand wraps itself around your waist as he steps in front of you.
Pierce raises a brow, almost alarmed by how swiftly you had retreated to this mystery man. "You had no ring when we met. You never mentioned being betrothed to another prince, Prefect."
Thankfully, Ruggie is quick to answer for you with all the flowery vocabulary he can muster. "Clearly, if you were better well-informed, the Cu family does not require the use of rings. We firmly believe our love is enough proof to the world that we are one!" He turns to you and winks, hiding away his nervous grip on your waist.
"And we are in love, aren't we?"
There's that look in his eyes that is begging for you to play along with the lie, before everything would fall apart. Ruggie knew he fell for the right girl when you cozied up to his side, playing up a few tears and whimpers.
"I was so scared! How can I possibly tell this man that I already belonged to someone else? He wouldn't let me go!" You exclaimed, earning shocked reactions from the crowd.
Pierce gulps to himself, hands raised in defense. "Well, I—!"
Ruggie clutches your hands, playing the part of a charismatic prince that he would only be for a few more minutes. "Say no more, Prefect. I understand. Rest assured, you will never leave my side ever again." He drawls dramatically before he straightens his posture, glaring with the energy of a spoiled brat as he could muster.
"I will be certain to spare you of my family's wrath! They do not take very lightly to incidents like these, but for the sake of my lovely girl here, I shall be lenient."
Pierce finds himself nodding nervously, wanting to hide from the scrutiny of the crowd that seemed to be shocked that he would try to marry an unwilling bride, much to your annoyance. Only now, they decide to question this wedding?!
The hyena beastman begins to lead you by the waist, ushering you through the carpets in a hurried manner. "Let us be on our way, Prefect." He murmurs into your ear, but it is not the exit he takes you to.
Rather, it's the buffet table set to the side.
"Ruggie, what are you doing?" You whisper as he pauses at the edge, grabbing two paper plates and shoving one into your hands. He grins at you, hiding a laugh behind a free palm.
"Shishishi— I ain't planning on leaving emptyhanded, Prefect. Help me out here, will you? Let's take as much as we can before this idiot catches on. Come on, let's stack up a plate for the ride back!"
Luckily for you and Ruggie, you both manage to sneak away before anyone started realizing that the hyena beastman had fooled everyone in that cathedral. It's a subtle reminder for him to lay low for the next few weeks and deny any relation to being a prince. Does a guy like him look like a prince? Sure, he's the prince of empty pockets!
Munching on the wedding treats with a hand on the wheel, Ruggie has already prepared himself for the long drive back to Night Raven College. He's already begun negotiating some sort of compensation for getting you out of that wedding. A handful of favors here and there, mostly packed lunches from you to keep him fueled for a couple of days.
He expects you to be in more comfortable clothing by the time he's finished returning Leona's car and clothes. Much to his surprise, you're still in that poofy wedding dress, holding onto your own cup of instant noodles while Ruggie's was on the little coffee table in your living room. You do not miss the way his tail wags at the sight or how he averts his gaze, shuffling to the space beside you.
"You couldn't take it off on your own?" He questions, only to be replied with a casual shrug from you.
"Couldn't reach the zipper. I gave up."
Ah.
Consigning himself to the awkward silence, he takes his own cup and starts to munch down on the supposed 'wedding' dinner. Both you and him watch the flickers of the old television, watching some news as white noise. It's only coverage on the wedding, the runaway bride and the mysterious prince that seems to not exist.
Ruggie knows better than to let intrusive thoughts leave his lips, but he cannot help it as Pierce Charmant appears on the screen. "You think you ever gonna marry rich? Charmant was ready to give you an easy ticket to luxury, you know?" He doesn't meet your eyes, but you feel his tail brush against your arm, badgering for an answer.
Following a slurp, you shake your head. "I mean, if I was able to get a divorce with good settlement money? I would've." You tell him with a short shrug, so casually as if it were a lighthearted topic.
A bitter laugh leaves Ruggie's lips, ears deflated slightly at the thought. "Yeah? He can give you a pretty easy life, but he'd be real lucky to have you. Seven-time overblot champion? He's won jackpot." Not really. It was never about your achievements anyways. Pierce would've been the luckiest man in Twisted Wonderland to win you over, for all your sweetness and edges.
Ruggie's sulky behavior does not go missed by you, and you could only nudge his elbow. "I would've taken the settlement money and asked you on a date. My treat," It's the way his ears perk up, his head whipped towards you hastily with that surprised expression. He doesn't even realize his tail is brushing against the couch wildly, or that his cheeks are getting warm as he takes in your shy smile.
"It'd be funny if we ended up going on more dates and I ended up using that settlement money for a wedding. It saves a lot of money, don't you think so?"
Laughter bubbles from Ruggie's chest, and in that moment, he finds himself falling in love all over again. "Shishishi, you're a genius! That's what I like about you!"
Shifting closer to your side, Ruggie presses his cheek against your shoulder. The dress takes up so much space that it nearly swallows him too, hiding your hands from sight as he laces his fingers with yours in a silent confession.
You squeeze in conformation, relaxing into his warmth as he eyes the skirt with interest.
"Think we can sell it? Might catch a big buck for a royal wedding dress." You mutter with a gleam of amusement in your eyes. Ruggie chuckled to himself in agreement. "Yeah? I'd be happy to sell it for you as long as I get a cut of profits as the selling agent."
"Do you take payments in kisses?"
Instant noodles set aside, Ruggie licks his lips as he leans in towards you. For a prey-like subspecies, he looks very much like a predator looking down on his meal when he stares at you this way. Eyes fixated on your plush lips, he hummed in contemplation.
"Wanna give me one now for all the hard work I did getting you out of that wedding?"
JACK HOWL
"I'm sure that it's just a misunderstanding. If Prince Charmant is everything he says he is, then surely, he will let her go. I will be sure of it that she returns to Ramshackle tonight. The Prefect... I would rather not see her look so distressed like that. I just hope she isn't harmed in any way. Ace, if everything goes south... have Lilia on speed dial. If I cannot save the Prefect, Malleus would be our last resort. Agreed? Agreed."
Possibly the least unhinged one on this list. Not gonna lie, out of everyone in this school, definitely the least dramatic and most pragmatic ones out there. He insisted on dragging Crowley to the altar, but the Headmaster was nowhere to be found.
Sure, Jack has his own feelings for you. Of course, he doesn't want to see you get married to someone else. However, it is your choice and he will always support that.
That being said, he knows you don't want to get married based on your pale expression and strained grins. Clearly, you aren't very enthusiastic about his wedding and if Jack had confidence in himself, he already knew that this prince was certainly not your type.
Jack is smart enough to enlist the help of your closest friends. The first years are definitely helping, from transportation to the last line of defenses if things got awry in that cathedral. Sebek is ready outside to contact Lilia and Malleus should it be necessary, but Jack hopes it won't have to come down to that.
He is probably the only one who has faith that Pierce Charmant can see reason, even when he was the same one who got deluded into thinking you were his one true love because of your shoe size.
Jack doesn't actually dress himself up! He comes in without any fancy preparation really. He's just that much of an authentic guy, and he cares too much about you to keep up appearances.
Jack comes in panting and drenched in sweat, driven by a sense of urgency and alarm. He truly thought he was too late, but it seems that he came at the right time.
"Prefect!" He yells out, eyes zoning onto you as you dropped the bouquet in your hands. The sight of him urges you to move, a mixture of worry and relief swirling in your core.
"Jack!" Your voice rings out in return, echoing of the walls.
Abandoning Pierce, you ignore the prince's calls to you as you race down to the wolf beastman. You ignore the gasps and the stares, immediately pressing your hands against Jack's toned bicep.
"Jack, are you okay?!" You cry out, feeling his chest heave in and out for air. He winces, looking up at you and it only makes his chest constrict even tighter. Jack never meant to worry you like this, but that concern of yours makes his heart skip too many beats.
"Prefect," He doesn't answer your initial question as he attempts to stand up straight amidst pants. Large calloused hands tremble as they take yours, as if keeping them safe in his gentle grip.
"Please don't marry him. Don't marry him if you don't wish to."
He cares not for the prince, the crowd, not even his own feelings as he contemplates the thought of you giving your heart away to someone else. Sucking sharply through his teeth, Jack looks up to a scandalized Pierce who stares from afar. "I am not the one to dictate you what to do, who you choose to give your heart to." He returns his gaze to you, a look so gentle in spite of his sharp features. Jack makes an effort to be soft with you, so quiet in the moment in spite of the spectators watching you both. He wouldn't be this way in public, you knew this.
But if this was the last time he may ever see you as the Prefect, and not some prince's wife, then he wouldn't lose that chance.
Jack lets go of your hands, allowing his trembling fingers to grasp your shoulders lightly. Swallowing to himself, he asks with such uncertainty that it's almost unlike him to doubt what he knew of you. "Prefect, do you wish to marry that man?" He murmurs, eyeing Pierce once more.
He had to be sure. Jack never wanted to take away your choice and perhaps, he was the one with the misunderstanding. Perhaps, you did want to marry this prince from the bottom of your heart.
It was relief that flooded his chest and sparked life back into his tail when you shake your head, beaming at him as if he were a silly boy.
"I don't want to marry him, Jack."
Your words are enough to give him resolve to look at Pierce clearly now. Firm and stubborn, Jack glares at the prince as he positions himself in front of you like a guard. Defensive, but not complacent.
"You heard the Prefect. She doesn't want to marry you." Before Pierce could retort, Jack cleared his throat once more with a sense of authority. He may be a random student from Night Raven College, but that was not going to stop him from defending your wishes against someone who could abuse his power.
"If you have a problem with that, talk it up with Headmaster Crowley. Otherwise, you cannot force her into wedding you. Can you sincerely call yourself a proud student of Royal Sword Academy if you go against the very conducts your school preaches?"
Honestly, Ace and Deuce had to interfere before Jack began to scold the rest of the guests for letting you get married against your will. Admittedly, no one really wanted to interfere now because of how much shame they felt after Jack's lecturing.
Jack was mindful to bring in an extra pair of clothes for you! He would have been happy to rummage through your closet for you, but he is a certified gentleman. He wouldn't go through your stuff without asking, so you would have to settle for wearing some of his clothes. They are likely to be a bit bigger on you, but it sends his tail wagging on overdrive to see you draped in his clothes, his scent.
Quite sweet of the first years to help take you back to Ramshackle. Both you and Jack seemed to have forgotten that you had borrowed his clothes though. The least you could do is wash them for him before you've returned them.
"You didn't have to do that, you know?" Jack grumbled, arms crossed across his pectorals with that disgruntled expression. You knew better than to buy his nonchalant act when his tail seems to undo his efforts to seem unbothered.
You raised a brow at him, holding out his folded laundry in your arms. "What's wrong with it? They're pretty much ready for you to wear."
The wolf beastman sighs to himself, glancing away to avoid your gaze. His cheeks are starting to burn red, but he won't ever acknowledge them. "You don't get it, Prefect. Just drop the subject and leave the clothes on the bench."
It was cruel of you to even think of teasing Jack, but it isn't so often you get to opportunity. You pout at him, clutching the clothes close to your chest.
"... does my detergent stink that bad?"
Your words take him aback, almost like a heinous offense. Before you realized it, Jack had wrung the laundry from your hands and held the fabric closely to his chest. "I never said that! Don't misunderstand!" He stammers, subconsciously wringing a shirt up his neck.
Jack immediately realizes he's fallen in your trap when you smile at him knowingly. Sighing in defeat, he submits to your whims. "You... I like your scent. It gets hard to concentrate when you're..." He mumbles shyly, ears flattened as he fights the urge to bury his nose into his clothes that are now laced with your scent.
"Was this how you won that prince over? I wouldn't be surprised." He mumbles to himself in exasperation. You could only laugh softly as you approach him, rubbing small circles on his back comfortingly. "Are you implying that I won you over too?" He says nothing, silently brooding to the side in a futile attempt to keep his tail still.
You don't exactly help his case when you place a kiss on his cheek either.

Dating in a Dream: Idia / Epel / (Rook) / Vil / Kalim / Jamil /...
Tumblr media
“Aether signal tracking successful.” Ortho says when you land in the new dream, along with Grim, Silver, Sebek and Epel. “We have arrived at the designated coordinates.”
After Silver checks if Epel is feeling okay after the trip from one dream to another, you all realize that you are in the Savanaclaw dorm. Which makes you wonder if you are in a Savanaclaw student's dream.
“AH! Mon amour!” You hear a familiar voice say.
You look and see Rook already by your side. One of his hands holds your waist to bring you closer to him, while the other holds your hand to kiss the back of it. But that wasn't the Rook you knew, he was wearing the Savanaclaw uniform, had freckles and messy hair tied in a ponytail under what looked like a cowboy style hat. You see the dreamer's bird flying over him.
“Any vision of you is a merveilleuse one! To what do I owe your and your friends' visit today?”
“ROOK?!” Epel says in disbelief, but then focuses on something else. “Wait... Doesn't ‘mon amour’ mean ‘my love’?”
“I have a bad and cringy feeling about this.” Idia's voice comments through the tablet.
“You're Epel Felmier, a Pomefiore freshman, I believe?” Rook says without taking his hands off you. “And you're in the Spelldrive Club, if I recall... Are you here to visit our housewarden Leona?”
“Can’t you have a conversation without clingin’ to my hench-human?” Grim complains and jumps into your arms to separate Rook from you.
“Hehehehe. I see I haven't been approved by you yet, Grim.” Rook says amusedly. “Very well, it seems that the journey to prove myself to you and have your blessing continues. Until then, a forbidden love this shall be. He he. Comme c'est excitant!”
“LO- Ugh! Why're you in Savanaclaw Dorm uniform anyway?!” Grim asks. “Your hair's all scraggly, and you've got stray leaves on your clothes... Vil would throw a fit if he saw you like that!”
“Vil?” Rook asks in astonishment. “You mean Vil Schoenheit, the actor?”
You all discover that, in this dream of Rook's, Vil does not study at Night Raven College, but instead at Royal Sword Academy. And he and Neige are like best friends. Rook, extremely excited, starts telling a lot of things about Vil and Neige to the point of quoting an interview with the two of them in full. Until he suddenly says something much louder than usual.
“Would you stop yelling?” Sebek says. “You startled me!”
“Oh, pardon me. I got rather carried away there... I just have so few people in Savanaclaw I can discuss Vil, Neige, and film in general with. Which also makes it a blessing to have someone like (Y/N) by my side.”
“What do you mean?” you ask.
“Oh mon cher, you are as big a fan of Vil and Neige as I am. No one can match my adoration like you.”
“Thank you, Rook Hunt, this was fascinating.” Ortho says. “I'd actually like to learn more about them...”
“Truly?! Why, I would be delighted!”
The others show their discontent to Ortho, but he explains that the more they understand the differences between this dream world and the real one, the easier it will be for them to find a way to wake Rook.
Excited to tell them more about Vil and Neige, Rook suddenly runs into the Savanaclaw building. You and the others run after him because you can't get too far away from the dreamer. You run to the closed door of his room where you hear a commotion inside.
“How is it taking so long to fetch one magazine?” Sebek questions.
“D-don't worry, I'll be right out!” Rook responds trying to hide his concern. “Don't open that door, whatever you do!”
“Mrr! I'm hearin' weird noises comin' from inside.” Grim says.
“Apologies for the wait! I found more things I positively need to show you... Whoa!”
Fearing that Rook might be under attack by the darkness and ignoring his pleas for them not to enter, they break down the door and enter Rook's room. To find a room completely filled with Neige merch on one half of the room and Vil merch on the other half.
Rook laughs in a strange, almost threatening way and says that since they had seen his room they could no longer leave... without joining him in reverently watching DVDs of his favorite actors! So he forces everyone to sit with him to do it. And of course he makes you sit right next to him.
He made you all watch those DVDs for FIVE HOURS!
“The fact that they played arch-enemies just made those final smiles so... so... beauté!”
“Mrah... After marathoning all those movies and stage plays, I'm exhausted.” Grim says in a sigh.
Ortho thanks Rook for all that information and says that it is already very late and that everyone should go back to their respective dorms and get some sleep. Before they leave, Epel asks Rook about the SDC and he replies that Vil and Neige sang together and he just watched.
“We can have another watch party whenever you like. Perhaps we can put that show on next time. Bon nuit, everyone!”
As you all left Rook’s room one by one, you stayed behind to be the last to leave. Maybe you even did it on purpose to see if Rook would do something. And he did.
As soon as Epel leaves and you are about to leave next, Rook suddenly appears in front of you to casually close the door behind Epel.
“I wonder what I did wrong to receive such cold treatment from you, mon cher.” He tells you with a theatrically brokenhearted look. “I understand not getting a bisou de bonjour with so many people around you. But not even a small, discreet bisou d'adieu?”
He gets closer to you and caresses your cheek, looking you sadly in the eyes. Seeing that you don't back away from his touch, he continues.
“Oh, where did I go wrong? What mistake could I have made to receive such a cruel sentence as deprivation of your touch? Is it my bail conquer your love all over again?” He brings his face closer to yours with a seductive smile, and he sees that you don't move away, quite the opposite. “Or should I continue to claim innocence?”
“(Y/N)!” Grim shouts from the other side of the door. “What are you still doing in there?”
“Did something happen?” Silver asked.
“Stop wasting time human!” Sebek complains. “We all must go for now.”
Rook moves away from you.
“Ah... My diligent jailers. You must go with them so that their worries will cease. But I see that you are in good and capable hands.” He takes one of your hands and kisses the back of it before opening the door for you like a gentleman.
And if you thought about taking advantage of that moment to kiss him, you realized that he seemed to be... enjoying his... “punishment”. So you decided to save that possible kiss for later.
Outside Savanaclaw's dorm it was already night and you and the others talked about Rook's dream and how you could wake him up. Epel has the idea of recreating SDC's performance because it was the crucial moment that the darkness was trying to make him forget. Make him remember that Vil actually despises Neige to the point of doing what he did and Rook's betrayal. You, Epel and Grim taught Silver, Sebek and Ortho the dance steps of the choreography of Absolutely Beautiful so you could take the places of the remaining members of the original group.
The next day, you were the one tasked with getting Rook to go to the Coliseum. You sent him a message to meet you in front of it.
The time you had set was approaching, but you couldn't see Rook. He must have been getting ready to surprise you. You looked around as if you really believed you would be able to see him in time. Suddenly you feel a kiss on your cheek. You look, but you don't see anyone. You look back to the other side where he is right there next to you with a smile.
“Greetings and bonjour, mon cher. I'm here as you requested. What can I do for you?”
“I’d like to show you something.” you say.
“Show me something?” Rook smiles. “Coming from you, I wonder with excitement what that might be.”
You take him inside the Coliseum so he can see the replica of the SDC stage up close. You go up on stage to dance with the others and Rook starts to get emotional because a part of him starts to remember that day. The dream begins to distort as if Rook were to wake up, but at that moment two darkness figures appear: Vil and Neige, both in RSA uniforms.
As if it were a real performance, the two of them take the stage after your group and start singing together, which moves Rook again, but in a way that makes him go back into his dream world.
Epel is angered by this and gives Rook a speech about what really happened that day and who they both know Vil really is. His Roi du Poison, their queen is way, way, WAY more poisonous and beautiful! And if he really believes that cheap copy comes even close to the real Vil, and he choosing him over the real one, that makes him more of a traitor right now that he was when he cast that vote for Royal Sword Academy!
And this is what makes the dreams shatter and Rook wake up.
Darkness Vil and Neige try to convince him to back down and accept singing with them, but Rook responds by preparing his bow and pointing an arrow in the direction of the two fake figures. Darkness Vil stands in front of Darkness Neige to protect him.
“What noble friendship you share...” Rook says with tears in his eyes. “And yet that very harmony is proof of my terrible betrayal!”
Rook and the others fight the fake figures and make them melt into darkness.
“Oh, dear pommette! To think I would be woken from my slumber by one bearing a poison that can put anyone to sleep.” Rook hugs Epel so tightly that he gasps for air. “Apologies...” he sobs “Oh, pommette, I can only beg you to forgive my betrayal.”
Epel tells him that he doesn't need to cry, but when he offers him a handkerchief, he realizes that he doesn't have one with him and the two comment on how Vil was right in telling him to carry one. The others talk about their own struggles in their respective dreams so that Rook knows that he wasn't the only one who forgot important things, that this was how those dreams worked to trap them.
“Merci! Oh, merci beaucoup! I cannot thank all of you enough. But there is one of you to whom I owe more than thanks, I owe an apology.” He walks up to you with an embarrassed and regretful face, and he kneels in front of you. “(Y/N), I'm so sorry for causing you so much discomfort. I never hid my love for you, so this part shouldn't have come as a surprise to you, but I can only hope that my behavior has not crossed any boundaries of yours. Please, forgive my shameless audacity. Whatever I can do to be worthy of your forgiveness, please tell me. I will do anything to redeem myself and have a fraction of your trust again.”
He was being so dramatic and still had tears in his eyes that it looked like he was trying to save himself from a death sentence for a horrible and unforgivable offense. The thing is... you like him too... and this was your chance to reciprocate the feeling.
Luckily for you, a simple, almost imperceptible smile from the corner of your mouth is enough for Rook to understand everything.
“Unless...” He stands up and looks you in the eyes with a smirk. “In truth, you enjoyed the experience of having me as your lover.”
You don't need to say anything. Your smile, whatever kind it is, is more than enough for him to understand perfectly. He holds one of your hands. That's how he saw, from the glove he was wearing, that he was still wearing Savanaclaw's uniform.
“In that case,” In the snap of a finger, Rook was back in his Pomefiore uniform and signature bob-cut. “Should we make it real?” he kisses the back of your hand. “Would you be so generous as to make my dream come true, my dear trickster?”
If you try to kiss him, he will stop you with a finger on your lips.
“Non, not yet.” he says despite the pity in his voice. The finger that interrupted your kiss slides to caress your cheek. “As much as I long to discover the wonderful feeling of your lips on mine, this must be something to be discovered in reality, not in a dream. I will wait impatiently for that moment. But sometimes it is this agony of waiting that makes everything so much more special... and intense.”
“ARE YOU DONE OR NOT?!” Grim complained. “Hurry up, we have another dream to go to!”
.
When you return to the real world, no matter what the state of Twisted Wonderland, Rook will find a way to lure you to a secluded place to finally taste your kiss.
