Khandadhar Waterfalls is located at Nandapani, distance of few kilometres from Bonaigarh, a subdivision of Sundargarh District of Odisha. 'Khanda' means sword and 'Dhara' means waterfall in Odia. The single drop waterfall is named thus as it looks like a sword.

Created by a perennial rivulet, named Korapani Nala, the horsetail type of waterfall plunges from a height of 244 metres/800 ft. It is said to be the highest waterfall in Odisha and 12th highest in India.

The waterfall can be reached by road from Bonaigarh. Rourkela is the railway station nearest to it. The last stretch of waterfall can be approached by foot. A climb of about 700 steps leads to its base, where one will be greeted with a majestic view of the plunging waterfall. And if one is adventurous enough, they can trek or hike their way to top of the hill to enjoy the view of the waterfall and the landscape from there.

Jharsuguda Railway Station is a major railway station in Jharsuguda district in the Indian state of Odisha. It is one of the oldest railway junctions in Odisha. It is located in the Sadar sub-division of Jharsuguda district in the northwest of Odisha. Make history The station was opened in Jharsuguda in 1891 after the construction of the Nagpur Asansol main railway by the then Bengal Nagpur Railway. The Howrah-Nagpur-Mumbai line passed through the station in 1900 and became a junction. Currently, the Koraput-Jajpur, Titilagarh-Jharsuguda, Rourkela-Kiribu railway lines pass through the station. The station's line has been electrified since 1969.

Geographical location - It has become an industrial area with a large number of factories, including the Mahanadi Coal Mine, in the vicinity of the station in the valley of the Eb River. There are 52 trains (some weekly and two weekly) passing through the station.

Sewage treatment plants in Odisha

There is no Sewerage System in maximum of the cities in Odisha at present. It is proposed to set up a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) on a modular method in a phased method as the populace grows.
